Oh – let me tell you how it works IN ACTION!!! This is pure LAWFARE to CHANGE PRECINCTS BLUE.
Yes – this thing is dangerous as hell. My wife and I have discussed it for a long time. I became aware of it several years ago, actually, BEFORE there was any real understanding of it, when an off-year election in Ohio became explosive in one suburban city over the issue of high-density apartment rezoning. The whole state woke up because of it, and I think it made pols take notice.
Let me fully explain that case, because it demonstrates how the whole scam works.
After YEARS of the city council of this sleepy old Republican suburb maintaining the bedroom character of the city, SUDDENLY the city council (with many of the same players still there) began rezoning places to allow in really big, urban-type apartment complexes. It turned out, there was only a short time window in which to complain, and by the time the neighbors of the projects realized what was going on, it was too late – they could not organize petitions, etc., or even really mount a case before the council.
SO – what happened is a few activists got a BALLOT ISSUE to make the city council give more time and more notification for ANY rezoning of residential areas. Oh, it was amazing – the “Dindu Nuffins!” hand-in-the-cookie-jar, oh-so-innocent protests of the duplicitous council members, who INSISTED that the increased length of time wasn’t needed, that the previous amount of time was “average”, etc., etc., etc.
Yeah, right, you clowns who can’t be trusted. The ballot issue passed in a LANDSLIDE.
So what was really going on? How in the heck did this happen? The answer tells how the Obamanoids pull this crap off.
The city council was taken over secretly by STEALTH PROGGIES and STEALTH GREENIACS, over the course of several elections, who got in because there is a gentleman’s agreement to keep party politics OUT of the city council elections. Some of these folks are really sly posers. Anyway, they got in and then pulled a FAST ONE to get rid of the one real deficit hawk on the council, possibly with a bit of help from CHYYYNNAA. The next election where the deficit hawk was running, they made sure there were so many people running, including the most political member (who goes along with “whatever”), that the deficit hawk just missed getting back in, but of course the manipulable swing vote got back in as needed.
So the progs and the go-alonger are now in control of the piggy bank. They start the liberal spending, change the tone of the whole city management, and undo all the work of the deficit hawk. Public diversity feel-good BS, while the infrastructure starts crumbling. They need cash just to meet the bills. What’s gonna pay?
BAMMO. In come the high-density apartment teams ON CUE, offering a way out. They helped these pols out of the mess that their prog poser members has sneakily suckered the rest into. But then the voters stood up.
Other cities started thinking of doing the same thing – tie the hands of their sell-out city councils. The ballot measures spread to other cities in subsequent elections. So what is TEAM OBAMA-HOLDER gonna do?
Exactly what they did. Start LEANING ON suburbs at the FEDERAL level.
The commies snuck in and positioned for a fight. These people will LIE TO YOUR FACE.
