Sometime after the 2016 election, I didn’t visit CTH too much, but when it was time for 2018 mid-terms, I kept looking for flep (fleporeblog) for his infectious optimism with his numbers. Nowhere to be found, along with many regular posters! I wondered what happened and where you all went. I’m glad to find you again, and I hope all is well with everyone!

Hi Wolf! Thank you for the welcome! Also, for the warning! I missed whatever happened, but it seemed a safe enough assumption that ties were cut all the way around. I stay in my lane! I’m generally more of a lurker than a poster. I am glad to have found you guys, though. I haven’t had much of a chance to look around your site yet, but I’m looking forward to it. There’s about 45 “posts” there that are actually “pullovers”. I suspect your comment got nicked by some automatic whizamagig and she’ll get to it once her own flood of data gets sorted.
And, BTW, I would recommend that everyone with a site review their backup policy and ensure they have something local. I mean, you can currently buy WD 12t drives for $220.

In the latest twist in the increasingly bitter U.S.-China trade war, Trump met with a group of bondholders called the American Bondholders Foundation (ABF) who are requesting that the president push China into repaying debt accrued during the Qing Dynasty to build a railroad. The Hukuang Railways Sinking Fund Gold Loan of 1911 was issued bonds that year by a consortium of banks in London, Berlin, Paris, and New York to fund the Hukuang Railway from Hunan to modern-day Guangzhou.
The group, led by Tennessee cattle rancher Jonna Bianco, claims that as the communist Chinese government in Beijing claims sovereignty over the whole of “China,” it is the inheritor of the debt issued in 1911. “The People’s Republic of China dismisses its defaulted sovereign obligations as pre-1949 Republic of China debt, but doing so contradicts the PRC’s claim that it is sole successor to the ROC’s sovereign rights,” Bianco said to Bloomberg in late August.
The bonds amount to US$1 trillion when factoring in their terms, inflation, and interest. The Trump administration is delving into the possibility of forcing China to repay the debt as a term of the trade negotiations or swapping it for the US$1 trillion in U.S. treasury securities it currently holds.
Chinese state-run mouthpiece the Global Times claimed that when the Communist regime took power in Beijing on October 1, 1949, the government abolished all unequal treaties and canceled foreign debts. It claimed that it does not have any obligation to pay back any outstanding debts after Chiang Kai-shek (蔣介石) fled to Taiwan in 1949 with a number of loans in hand.
On Sept. 9, Chen said that according to Article 63 of the Act Governing Relations between the People of the Taiwan Area and the Mainland Area (臺灣地區與大陸地區人民關係條例), “The following debts shall not be repaid prior to national unification: Outstanding foreign currency bonds issued in the Mainland prior to 1949 and the short-term Gold Bonds of 1949. Various debts owed by any government bank as well as any other financial institution accepting deposits before their retreat from the Mainland.”
As for ownership of the debts, he gave the example of bonds issued by Farmers Bank of China (農民銀行), which was originally operated by the ROC government in China. However, in 1949, the bank’s assets were seized by the Chinese Communist Party and incorporated into the People’s Bank of China, which later became the Agricultural Bank of China.
Chen said all debts owed to bondholders by the former Farmers Bank of China are now held by the Agricultural Bank of China, reported CNA. Therefore, the Chinese government is ultimately responsible for these bonds
Chen emphasized that the Taiwan government does not bear the assets of the Republic of China before 1949 and has no reason, legal or based on principal, to repay debts incurred prior to that year. He concluded that the government should revaluate why Article 63 retains any debts to be repaid upon “unification,” according to the report.

I’m not kidding – if a JOURNALIST gets a hold of a vague description of a legal process, and we’re not strong enough to withstand that, then something is VERY wrong with the legal process.
My suspicion is that the real investigator is a swamp rat.

That’s the problem with our system. Many do not understand how it works. Take Miss Lindsey, the RINO. The time to get rid of him was his primary a few months ago. Did anyone worthy run against him then, was there a massive campaign to inform everyone that he’s a RINO and needs to be replaced? I dunno, probably not. But he won and now we’re stuck with him as the only R choice. Race is pretty tight I hear, so We MUST re-elect him to keep the Senate seat. Hold your nose SC and do it. But wait, here comes Some Dude to the rescue with a big BOMB, to tell the base it was all a lie and the R’s knew it. Pizzes off and totally disgusts the electorate. People will want him gone, but at this point it’s too late. Hold my nose again?, Hell NO! Joe, the base R voter cannot morally endorse the RINO after the all the recent lies he’s been fed, especially when he had his hopes so high for justice. Many will just not vote due to the stench. Actually, it’s my understanding that when it comes to certain seats, the candidate is picked by the national party and funded by the national party. I assume it’s a uniparty decision for optics, but party bigwigs have been known to call candidates before the primaries and tell them to drop out because they wouldn’t be funded anyway.

I was warned on Tony Heller’s blog that if I commented over at OT I would have to be very careful NOT to challenge SD or he would ban me. This was back in 2015 or so. I always felt like I was walking on egg shells and that is why I bailed when I found the Q-Tree. (I was not banned first.)
I got away with challenging him once…because I pointed out a flaw with his statement he could check very, very easily. He never again repeated the utterly absurd assertion that I had refuted, which is just as well because half of his audience would have believed it.

Honestly the more embarrassing revelation might be that one NEVER had (has) sex with their spouse.

Barr, IF Sundance had the goods, would not NEED to negotiate, he COULD simply ask Sundance to withhold OR face obstruction of justice charges for jeopardizing a federal investigation. It is THAT big.
Think Wolfe, HOW would a simple internet blogger receive such info, and NOT the Cabal, who are literally EVERYWHERE in the Govt, and yet THEY do not have it, UNLESS, Sundance is being USED by the Cabal as a dis info agent to discredit Barr and Durham BEFORE the reveal. Akom’s Razor.
However wrong or right he is, they’re just letting it happen. Now it’s possible that they may FORCE him to go to 1 week if they’re serious, in which case they come back to him and say “here is your NSL – 1 week”.
IMO what he is doing WILL, however reframe expectations and assessments.
I think the bad guys know whatever it is, and they would prefer for the full, true story to REMAIN HIDDEN and be out of the sheep’s minds. In fact, I think many of them, both “bad” and “informants”, have played along with things.
The good guys are fine with things as they are, but are OK with “You have more than you know” slipping out to general understanding.

Very likely the same about Barr. I trust Barr, even if he is engaging in “institutional repair as opposed to destruction”, because that’s his call. I can generally see an SD viewpoint from a less blame-casting position, because I’m more comfortable with the realities of controlled opposition, IMO.
I want to know what’s going on. I’ll figure out if I should be pissed at anybody but China and the Soviet Union later. 😉

AG Barr has also commented about Durham’s investigation and its timeline of results. He has said he doesn’t feel constrained to wait until after the election to reveal results. So is Barr lying to us, or has he been duped?
If — and it’s a big IF — there is anything to what SD says, then, as others have pointed out, it would reflect negatively on Pres. Trump, AG Barr, and Republicans, right before the election. That is, unless there is such a major coup within our government that the president and AG have been misled about the very existence of an investigation (or at least the intent of purported investigators). If that were the case, we would be in a crisis the likes of which this country has never seen.
Alternatively, if the entire Durham investigation is a head fake for something more important and effective, to keep the Deep State distracted, then that fact should under no circumstance be revealed. To do so would be obstruction of justice, with far-reaching ramifications that could do irreversible damage.
We’ll see. I’ve pretty much decided I’m going to keep all this SD discussion in separate posts, outside the open thread. I sense trouble coming – a lot of potential for infighting – and want to isolate it. People who don’t want to give SD oxygen can stay away.

Why make a big deal about Durham being a head fake or shiny red ball? The lesson learned from Mueller is that it’s all a show. What we are seeing and being fed along the lines of counsels and prosecutors is to keep the media occupied, and their sychophants content for the most part.
What’s telling to me is the other side’s reaction to Durham. If he really is a shiny red ball, why is he making them other side nervous other than they have no idea what he has so they can plan for a counter?
What if the whole purpose of the Durham narrative is to keep the rats off kilter in that way?
We simply don’t know, and any reporting entity using unnamed sources, be it the NYT, Washington Compost, or anyone else, should be watched, but not necessarily taken as passing on valid information.

Hey Q-Treepers, I’m finally providing my “soon” update about Josiah, but frankly I’m a bit out of gas, so if you want greater/other details, please see my 8-13 update at the Caring Bridge site above…
Last weekend we noticed J had more jaundice symptoms & we interfaced with the University of Michigan Hospital’s On-Call Doctor covering GI/Liver Transplant. He spoke w/ J’s doctor & then got back with us. No med changes until labs. We got labs on Tuesday.
Yesterday I spoke with the Liver Transplant Nurse & Most of J’s Labs Have NOT Improved, some are stable-ish & at least one is Slightly better. The one measuring bile/jaundice was 12 before the hospital, 7 after at some point, & now is at 10.5, which is not good.
They are adding a new med (which we’re having some challenges getting) Ursodiol to help empty the bile ducts, iirc, though per the pharmacy it’s often used for kidney stones. They want him taking 900 mg/day of it. He got 900 mg last night & has 300 mg for tomorrow morning. The pharmacy was supposed to get more in Wed but it didn’t come but they think it’ll come Thursday, so hopefully he’ll be able to get the full dosage today too.
They want him to get labs again on Friday & go to twice a week labs for some period of time that likely depends on the liver numbers. They’re sending new “standing orders” so we don’t have hassles at the lab…My daughter is currently going on the clock as J’s “staff” & doing this activity with him, since the hospitalization.
Depending on how the liver numbers look they might get another Liver Biopsy. It’s not clear if that is based on Friday’s labs or next week’s 1st labs probably on Tuesday, unless J decides to skip/go late to work & get labs Mon.
At least the theoretical biopsy should be able to be done out-patient. If it turns out to be like what just happened at the hospital, a punch or core biopsy, then we know what to expect & can talk J through it. If it’s like his old liver biopsy, laparoscopic surgery, we can prepare him for that too….
Everything is still relatively in flux. They may decide to pause the weaning down on the Prednisone. He started 40 mg/day this Tuesday & was due to go to 30 mg/day this coming Tuesday. They may also tweak his Prograf dosage depending on the Tacro (tacrolimum, Prograf generic) level, which wasn’t back as of our conversation…
Josiah has been feeling some diminished energy & now wishes he weren’t going in to work this morning. I’m coaching him on making that decision when he wakes up…for when he thought about it last night he thought it was “too late” to call off his morning shift.
He spent some time at his fiancee Rose’s house the other day. The prior time they’d seen him they were quite worried about how low-key he was (they’re used to seeing him in a more hyper state). They also thought he’d lost weight. His appetite has been a little lessor but he’s still eating reasonably well. Rose’s family laid hands on him to pray for him & they are continuing to lift him to the Throne of Grace!
My husband Michael & I are supposed to go out for dinner with Rose’s parents tomorrow night. We’ve not yet met her dad, who is on the autism spectrum, but know her mom a bit from Special Olympics events. We’re supposed to get to know each other & potentially share our visions for our kids’ wedding & marriage.
It is rather interesting times around here. The liver stuff is unsettling though Josiah seems relatively OK overall. The nurse said that people can feel completely fine & have significant liver problems.
We’d really appreciate your ongoing prayers for Josiah’s complete healing, body, mind, soul, & spirit. Sometimes all the uncertainty is overwhelming to him & it is draining, to some degree, to the rest of us…

My special son is a Massive Prayer Magnet & has been since even before he was born! “Inner Mongolia” is part of China, it’s along the southern border of (Outer) Mongolia, and has no border with Russia. China is probably “sealing off cities” in Inner Mongolia, while the border between Russia and Mongolia you reference, is the “other” Mongolia. (The independent Mongolia adopted the Cyrillic script for Mongolian, sometime while they were a satellite state.)

This takes me back to my single days. I used to live in an apartment complex that housed A Lot of students from Spartan School of Aeronautics (didn’t one of the 9/11 hijackers study there?), near/in Tulsa, OK. Anyway I befriend some of those guys & got on some Cessna 152 & 172 flights/joyrides occasionally. I’d always wanted to learn how to fly so was thrilled when one of those guys let me do some of the taxiing on the ground & some very low key maneuvers in the air.
One of my friends had also learned to fly helicopters. He had hopes of becoming a missionary bush pilot. He actually took me up in his first “solo” helicopter flight after getting that certification/license. Fun times!

I must say, he seems to be getting very caught up in the commercial side of his blog…writing books about Q, for example, and just pasting other people’s podcasts which is increasing disappointing to me. Good way to lose the connection with his base, IMO.

When I signed up for Word Press recently my user name had to be unique, and it wouldn’t let me use “TheseTruths.” But I was able to choose it as my public display name. Looks as if someone has chosen “Teagan” as their public display name, or they are typing in the name every time.
Still…”Teagan” is awfully specific. I wonder if any of the rest of us have duplicate screen names OT.

One of the advantages of a WordPress account is OBVIOUS UNIQUENESS. One of the disadvantages of uniqueness is loss of anonymity, but you never really had it, because your metadata is enough to uniquely identify you.
I suggest picking a new unique “Teagan” as a WP account and becoming ThatTeagan, so to speak! 😉

I can type type any email and any name, used before or not. the name/email combo has to be the same as has been prior approved combo. If either are new then I am considered a “new” “person” even if the screen name is the same. I can do a new email and same screen name and visa versa.
I have used the same screen name and a different email at OT by accident. that why avatar changed several years ago there – typo in the email address. We own a domain some typos in the correct spot are actually irrelevant and all emails still come through. Ca attacks are so incredibly rare. We encroach on them. And we are tracking them. 3 or 4 this oast year have died due to ingesting rats that have eaten poison. They need space. These should have been relocated bc it is done successfully. Or given the option for a rescue, bc there were places willing to take them.
Killing first is someones cheap thrill.
I will go with placing in a rescue. Relocating is just too dangerous.

There’s a reason why I’ve been using essential oils and spices for pest control. It’s safer for the predators. With all the rain, ants have been coming in. Rather than Terro which is essentially boric acid, I put a small dish of cinnamon on the window sill. They quit coming in. Peppermint repels spiders, and other critters.
Even as close as I live to a major city, we’ve had an influx of big owls and hawks due to the rodent population which exploded without higher level predators. They keep things in check.

Peppermint and cloves seem to be the scents most vermin and bugs don’t like.
We have an issue with silverfish. They like paper so its pretty hard to get rid of them.
No kidding. They also like wool. My dad brought me a couple kilts from England, and one time I looked down and there were these little silverfish holes in the one. Fortunately, as luck would have it, my grandmother had an aunt who had a French reweaving business, and at the time, her best reweaver was still alive. My grandmother contacted her, and she rewove the hole.
I’ll have to look up siverfish to see what they react to other than strong perfume. I’m pretty allergic so that’s out…well, really, my family complains when I spray my favorite.
I have to go through and put all bathroom products in plastic. It gets to be a pain. And they are always in the bathroom and kitchen bc of water anyways.

I get killing SOME animals who start shadowing humans as game, but not simply for getting close. To me, that’s just the counterproductive, conflicted BS of the liberal world. “Save the animals”, but NIMBY.
We have potentially toddler-killing coyotes with 15-20% wolf genes wandering across all our properties, and people with little kids KNOW IT. We keep our eyes out for them, and everybody knows when they’re around. We LIKE having all the wildlife, including deer, foxes, groundhogs, big owls, hawks, bats, coyotes, skunks, raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, weasels, chipmunks, possums, vultures, crows, geese, ducks, cranes, and lots more. Roadkill everywhere. We control where the animals can den, and where they can’t, but they move where they like, and eat what they want.
Ten Bears calls bullshit on WEAK people who can’t live with predators. Humans have GUNS and can carry them everywhere in most places if they want. Top of the food chain. But NO – we can’t even do warning shots to scare off predators permanently – those aren’t even allowed. Must “call somebody”.
WEAK. We’ve lost our senses. “OH, NOES, THE CAT WAS ON MY PORCH!”
Look how wary those cats were. Scare ’em off. Easy. Never come back. Or LIVE WITH THEM.
All predators are welcome on my property! ON MY DECK. They know to keep a healthy distance, but are not afraid to pass through.

The BIG PROBLEM is the blasted gun laws.
We have coyotes denning in the woods on my property. I hear them at night. We also have bear and big cats. They stay away because of all the guns in the neighborhood. We also have a bald eagle down the street, red hawks perched on the fence posts and before the coyotes I had a female red fox that hung around the barns eating mice.
Please note a deputy who is friends of my B-I-L had his little girl grabbed and dragged off by coyotes while they were BOTH in the backyard. My next door neighbor had his 6 year old daughter attacked and her face partly ripped off. She lost an eye. THAT was a dog who also attacked me a couple days before but the owner refused to control.
Obviously I like animals but I also know they can main and kill so I err on the safe side.
It’s a tough call sometimes. Live with nature, you will either put up with nature, or fight with nature. Or both! 😀

In Germany the wild pigs are a problem. In Parks and even on beaches the pigs do not seem to be afraid.
At my house wildlife is respectful of us and back down to the dogs or run away as soon as the back door opens. Specially my Australian cattle dog makes a strange growl when she knows something is hiding late in evening in the backyard on an arbor. I do not leave my dogs out as long as wildlife comes and goes at night no problem.
We have visits from deer 4-6 at the time but they are most on my front lawn. My neighbor told me they are there normally 5 in the morning when he comes home from work.. I do not mind and we do not befriend them therefore they are not to trusting even though people stopped their car at my house to take photos when they show up afternoon.
Now it’s Die Linke, the SPD, the Greens, the FDP, and even the CDU (and Söder is trying to kill the CSU)…

No kidding. I’m seeing a lot of people putting on the mask to go inside and taking it off upon exiting. Even the plumber who came to the house did this.
When we had the recent repairman here, we told him he did not have to wear his mask…he immediately took it off and said, “thank goodness….thank you!” He was also the owner of his business so didn’t have to worry about breaking company rules.

I’m not sure if we ever had closure on the Gun Grab in New Zealand that took place back in March. As part of side bar discussion I’ve found an America Thinker article that summarizes the incident rather well.
It seems of out of 1.5 million registered gun holders a total of 530 weapons were turned in. As I remember it, and I could be wrong, but it sounded at the time to be the early start of a gun confiscation program that was being rammed through by the government but legal remedy against the action had not yet begun when we heard about it here. Now according to this June article from American Spectator, apparently the action is/was a volunteer gun turn in that failed miserably.
Maybe Kiwi’s can use this issue along with the China Virus / vaccine issues and the cuddling up with China and toss their leftist politicians out of office as in 3 Strikes and Your Out. Perhaps that might even dampen their many new residents (millionaires and billionaires) WEF like globalist ambitions that any of them might be harboring now that they know the vast majority of citizens have kept their weapons.
