Due to being knocked low by the Wuhan Flu, President Donald Trump was out of the public eye for a few days. We’ve all been following that story rather closely. So has his base, and if he couldn’t bring the rally to the people, the people brought it to him.
Of course, that sent the other side into a tizzy.
Oh, well, there’s always Valium. They’re usually into science and all that. Of course, there’s always herbs of essence.
Brings back memories of road trips in an 8-cylinder station wagon with an 8-track where we sang this sort of thing, the Kingston Trio, the St. Louis Jesuits, Neil Diamond, and the Bert & Ernie Sing-a-Long album.

The original expression was “built like a brick s**thouse” and was popular a hundred years ago, when many people still had outhouses. [Note that my father and my uncle went back to Colorado to install indoor plumbing at the house they grew up in, which was still inhabited by their dad, in the early 1970s. They did it on their SECOND expedition — the first expedition got rid of the coal stove and installed a natural gas heater. Priorities.] Obviously, one built out of brick might even have *gasp* plumbing instead of just a hole. It implied “far too stylish for that neighborhood.”
W. C. Fields famously used the expression in one of his films. Of course, it wouldn’t pass the censors unaltered, so his line was: “built like a brick *beat* telephone booth.” When the Commodore’s version came out with the exact same pause, it was quite entertaining.
Of course, a large part of the humor of W. C. Fields’ version was that literally EVERYONE knew what he meant, but people of certain social stations had to pretend not to know.

As an aside, one of Jefferson’s early priorities was the establishment of “water closets”. Prior to his Presidency, the White House had outdoor privies. Of course, the Brits showed up and burned it all down in 1814.

The “Ballad of Wilson’s John” is about an new outhouse built on the property belonging to John Wilson a caver friendly landowner. It was a favorite song of cavers. I have it on tape.
Many a cave hut had drafty old outhouses. The one in Schohaire, just south of Albany NY was a two holer with a magnificent view out over the Allegany Mtns. On the back wall was written:

The spider one reminds me of a joke my husband’s hunting buddy played on everyone at the Hilton’s outhouse. He found some picture of a really scary spider, blew it up huge & put together some official sounding verbiage about how it especially liked to hide in dark crevices, like a butt crack. You were supposed to shine the brightest light in your possession down the hole to temporarily blind it, do your business at record speed, & dash out before it decided to take up new lodgings in your nether regions!
My husband observed our oldest son, who is deathly afraid of spiders, basically screaming & running out of the outhouse after discovering that enlightening bathroom reading material!
Our hunters enjoy messing with each other. One of them once put an official looking building condemnation sign on the door & I think it now hangs in place of pride inside The Shack.
Our first dog once scared a mouse to death just staring it down inside the shack. I believe my husband skinned that mouse & tacked it’s hide to the door & it was there in tattered form for years. 🙂
They have a storage shed that looks sturdier than the shack. My dad’s hunting buddy hung a sign for “Parking for Michigan State Fans Only” sign in front of it. Well my dad being a U of M grad & perpetual fan wouldn’t be outdone so he purchased the counterpoint sign of “Parking for University of Michigan Fans Only” but he positioned his sign so it’s the only one that’s actually visible when the shed door is open. His buddy’s sign is conveniently covered by the open shed door..
They used to sign & tack up dollar bills on the wall whenever they got “paid” by the shack across the street for some type of favor & vice versa. There is so much history & lore for nearly 100 years of hunting camp tales up there & it’s great bringing in fresh meat, aka rookies, into camp to share the camaraderie & heckling that is a perpetual part of old-timers helping newbies catch a clue at deer camp! This time my 2 older sons are each bringing a buddy to camp, a first for each of them for hunting season. I sure hope that those hunting buddy relationships survive & thrive for I’ve seen how such friends in camp have been important to both my husband & my father.
Josiah’s twin managed to round up a pretty large group of guys, so large that both shacks got put into use, over the summer time to do wood duty. It was a great release after all the Michigan tyrant’s CV lockdown depredations, for young city guys to get into the woods with chainsaws, axes, hatchets, & mauls & bring in several cords of wood the old fashioned way. It was such a good time that most of them want a repeat adventure next year!
Most of my family is about to head Up North for a bowhunting weekend at the family clan hunting Shack & more recently acquired up the hill “Luzerne Hilton”. Both locales are equipped w/ standard “plumbing” aka wooden outhouses. Guys tend to pee outside but the girls are stuck w/ the facilities…
The Shack used to have a 2-seater outhouse & my dad sat on one seat reading Bambi (don’t know how appropriate of a tale that is for a deer hunting camp) to my youngest brother trying to get him to “go”…I don’t know if that technique worked, but it traumatized my little (6′ 4” now) bro enough that he “holds it” all weekend, magnifying the methane madness of a 10 X 15 room full of guys that only such a return to savage roots event can produce.
Any brick *beat* house up there would be better built than the hunting cabins themselves! A couple years back one of the retirees (a Ford Motor Co engineer & tire expert) pointed out that the stovepipe used to vent smoke from the wood burning stove was in fact a clay tile sewer pipe! Living like rats is a term of affection acquired when my dad & his hunting buddy spent their first ever 2 week stint in hunting camp following dad’s retirement…
One of the things that I find funny is that people don’t realize that folks with outhouses knew how to build properly, but intentionally built ramshackle sheds for their outdoor privies — despite the discomfort in the heat of summer or cold of winter.
They couldn’t be sealed, because they would continually produce “sewer gas” from natural decomposition — and the users would rather freeze or sweat than go unconscious from methane. They needed walls for privacy, but needed airflow for safety.
The next reason they were ramshackle constructions is that they were built over holes in the ground…..and when the hole got too full, they needed to be moved to a new hole. From a purely practical standpoint, you’d dig the hole about six feet deep — a home excavator digging more than that is taking on a major risk if the sides slump. IIRC, I’ve got some relative who was in an eight-foot hole that slumped and it killed him — despite having people around who attempted rescue.
Further, as the solid deposits in such a hole decompose, and the nutrients are carried hither and yon by earthworms or tree roots, the volume of the deposits tends to decrease. If not covered by sufficient soil, this could cause unpleasantness like general collapse of the overlayment (leading to exposure) or weakening of the overlayment where a boot might puncture through. You’d probably want at least a foot-and-a-half of overlayment to keep things tidy. [Different localities with different soil types would use different rules of thumb.]
So you’d take your backyard, find an innocuous corner, and dig a six-foot hole. Then build a drafty shed over top. When the hole filled with four and a half feet of “material”, over a few years, you’d find a different corner and dig another six-foot hole, using the first eighteen inches of excavation to cover your original site. Then you’d MOVE THE SHED.
That’s why a brick s**thouse was impractical.
And, mind you, that’s why I’ll never be tempted to do an archeological excavation of my “family homestead” in Colorado. There may be all kinds of artifacts, but it’s guaranteed that there’s a lot of…….”material”.
That’s actually very interesting…& I thought coprolites were a legit pursuit of archeology!
My dad said that they had to dig out an old outhouse for his grandparents & his grandpa had them put the “material” into an old rowboat that was partly below ground level in the garden. They never told my Great-grandma, but I guess she used to brag about those beautiful flowers that grew in that old boat 🙂
My aunt and uncle had a place in the Devil’s Lake area of Wisconsin & they had a 2 walled outhouse so when you sat down to relax you had a wide open view of the forest, but their place was so remote rarely did anyone get caught that way with their pants down…literally!
My husband say the Only way to use the Northern Michigan outhouses is with the doors open, for both light & ventilation! I think my daughter agrees, but being usually the only girl in hunting camp she does her business as quickly as possible & then high-tails it out of Dodge!
The movable shed aspect made me think of the fishing shanties that show up on the lake in the winter. I wonder if some of them might be re-purposed outhouses.
My dad had an extreme miser of an uncle that refused to pay to hook up his Detroit home to city water & sewer when that was put in. He had a pack of kids, most of which were pretty Crazy (literally). When the last one living in that ramshackle Detroit house died my dad heard tales from cousins how that man would walk to the nearby gas station daily for his “download”…they’d let the building go so badly that the roof leaked in a couple rooms & was partly caving in & if you stepped on the porch you’d fall through…I guess that it made just another Detroit crack house or body stash in the making 🙁
Coprolites are usually reserved for actually fossilized materials, where much of the carbon-bearing compounds have been replaced by silicates. HOWEVER, human deposits have been described as “coprolites” even if they would otherwise not qualify, because the archeologists involved didn’t want to say “materials”.

When I lived and worked in a small barrio in Venezuela, we had no plumbing at all. There was one community water source and I paid a kid 5 cents to stand in line to get a bucket of water from the very tiny pipe…often an hour or longer wait for one modest container. We had a rain barrel outside, below the roof line, for other water, of course, had to boil and treat everything. To this day it still bothers me if I throw out out.
Outdoor privy that had all sorts of creepy crazies(in the tropics, you know) …you NEVER entered or sat down without a careful inspection. Kept a container of kerosene (don’t ask why kerosene…it was just what was used) to liberally douse everything.
It was an adventure!
PS…major accomplishment of my time there was bringing in a 6” water pipe to the barrio, we had to dig the trenches ourselves by hand before the government would come in to lay and connect the pipe, but we got it done. THAT was community organizing, Obama!

I was about two when one of my mother’s uncles died. Maybe not quite. That branch of the family were old school farming type people who might live in communities built in the late 19th century. This uncle lived in such a place. One day, sometime later, this uncle’s sister-in-law came over with my grandmother to our house, and started talking about the uproar in the uncle’s community. It seemed that the owner of the two family dwelling where they lived was taking down the outhouse where my mother’s uncle had his daily constitutional, and his wife and daughter were distraught. The sister-in-law was not distraught at all and said, “What are they going to do, build a shrine?”
Actually, of the family houses on that side that were not in any town, there was only one that didn’t have an outhouse now that I think about it.

Which part? Mind you, the US has more than enough stories about “mom’s on meth and dad’s in jail”. My paternal grandfather was the cook in a band of sheepherders and would disappear for months at a time while the sheep went into the upper pastures. Barron Trump seems like a good kid with a supportive and attentive family — having his parents disappear for 72 hours while his grandparents are still around will not be an existential crisis.
And his parents didn’t disappear He knew exactly where they were and spoke with them whenever he wanted….to say nothing of knowing the survival statistics and what that meant for the situation.

So, many of you probably think I worry too much — over things like comfort for dying birds and construction projects and internet security. And Lord knows, I have things on deadline — final extension for 2019 taxes runs out in 9 days, have to renew my CA CPA (with 40 hours of required education) by the end of next month, and I’m trying to pack up and leave California.
But the Fiancee brought me news about our friend L.
L is a retired vet. He’s in his 70’s (maybe 80’s). He had a regular thing he would do volunteering at VA hospitals — but in the wee hours of the morning. He had several dozen fish tanks (probably three figures) set up thoughout several local hospitals so that fellow vets could look at something besides television during the hours and hours of their treatment and/or recovery. He’d go in there at maybe three in the morning and do aquarium maintenance. For him, it was a cause — a way of doing a service for his fellow vets.
We met L at our local fish club well over a decade ago. He’d have fish spawn and bring the fry in for auction, but tried to collect really cool, rare, or interesting fish for his tanks. Because we all knew it was for our vets, people were generous. I believe that the VA actually purchased the tanks and filters for him, but it was a labor of love — for years and years.
With Covid, the VA won’t let volunteers on premises. All of his tanks are slowly turning into toxic sludge, full of dead fish. He has been informed that they will all be removed. Ordinarily, he could bring all the surviving fish into the club’s fish auction and try to find them good homes — but we haven’t had a meeting since March. Hundreds of fish, lovingly curated for over a decade, will end up getting flushed. Some of them are five or more generations into a breeding program.
He doesn’t have room to bring them to his home — where he lives with his dad.
Now, we’ve seen triage — the charred Napa wineries with stacked wine bottles where the boxes were burnt away. But this situation, where these tanks and these fish are twisting in the wind while Random Nuisance won’t reopen until Social Justice has prevailed, is messing with L’s mind. He was barely coherent at the best of times [N.B. This is common among fish geeks — get me rolling on rift lake speciation and I’ll get your eyes glazing-over in no time], but it’s taking its toll on him.
And, of course, it’s so unnecessary. Why can’t he show up at 3AM, work until 6AM, and leave? Some joyless Karens have decreed that everyone must suffer to show how much they conform. Must some poor bastard scheduled for six hours of having a toxin drip into his veins look at a blank wall — or, worse yet, CNN? Where’s the mercy in that?
Anyway, that’s my worry tonight. Tomorrow morning is taxes.
Incidentally, the Fiancee also reports that she used to have a 94-year-old vet zipping around with her walker just bringing a kind word to people around the hospital. She’s also banned. And bummed.
We have to vote the Coronacrats out of power, and if that doesn’t work, then WAR.

The Trump campaign plays that sensitivity for all it’s worth. THAT is why “Sleepy Joe”. Narcolepsy means Adderall. Adderall means UNFIT. And that is why the LEFT has a “conspiracy theory” that Trump is on Adderall, but it’s really just “accuse the other side of your own negative”.

That seroquel is BAD NEWS!! They gave it to my dad when he was hospitalized for a fall, he had mild dementia. He kept talking about the dogs in his hospital room. Really bizarre, wouldn’t stop for days, was really scaring me. Found out later, that a lady w/a poodle embroidered on her pocket had stopped in to talk to him. Made them stop that hallucinatory $h!T immediately!! Could explain Corn Pop, and his latest, Shoe Leather.

Adderall causes one to FOCUS. It slows down the AHDD kids so they’re not so hyper and they can pay attention. It also causes regular people to FOCUS, that’s why college kids love it. There’s not really a whole lot of ‘speed’ to it. My niece took her son’s medicine to test it before giving to him (she always tested her kid’s meds 1st), said she had never been so focused and gotten more done in her life. Speed (amphetamines, both legal and illegal) speed you up, but you are NOT focused, you bounce from thing to thing.
Well, I have a bit of experience with Speed and I can tell you that you only ‘bounce’ if you don’t have something worth the effort to focus on. This can vary from day to day, plus it depends on how much sleep you get while ‘speeding’. Go a day or two with minimum or no sleep and I guarantee you’ll be dreaming while your awake. It’s a strange meld of dreaming and reality.
If Slow Joe is having trouble with speed, it’s because he’s not a strong personality. Sort of like trying to drive from the passenger seat.
Yes! Adderall is a BALANCED mix of the two possible isomers of basic amphetamine not the same as *methedrine* (meth), which is actually chemically modified amphetamine, and a different beast. METH is the classic “speed” – more like cocaine – although benzedrine and dexedrine were always considered abusable stimulants, too.

My late husband was put on Seroquel after an IV antibiotic he was taking in the hospital broke through the blood-brain barrier and caused medically-induced dementia. He was on Seroquel for about a month and closely monitored. He was NEVER the same again after taking this drug.

He thinks someone, or multiple people, were seeded there on purpose and that Pres. Trump and his administration knew their playbook. He talks about how Pres. Trump knows all about the virus and where it came from and how to treat it and cure it.
Dave names two possibilities:
1. They are all pretending to have WuFlu. Dave doesn’t think Pres. Trump would do that because of disastrous consequences if it ever got out. I have also thought, if he didn’t just have it and was just pretending, what if he actually got it later? How would he explain it?
2. Pres. Trump and company knew the Left was going to try giving Pres. Trump the virus — maybe not the exact time and place, but the general idea. Pres. Trump gets tested regularly and he knows how to cure himself. Dave believes Pres. Trump allowed himself to be given the virus, taking slings and arrows for us, to accomplish his goals to defeat the fear tactics, shutdowns, and control.
In doing so, he countered the narrative that WuFlu is scary, showing the people that you can recover in a few days with proper treatment, and that there is a cure. There is no question that he is making sure everyone knows he emerged victorious over the virus and that he will use that going forward.
I find this more plausible than the idea that he was not sick at all. I do believe he would willingly allow himself to get sick for the sake of defeating the schemes of the Left, for the country, and for all of us. Of course, others also got sick, but Pres. Trump is the prime target who would also be afforded the most protection. And he knew how to help and cure the others. Melania might have been on board, though it was a risky scheme. But I know she trusts him. Whether the infections came from the debate or the ACB event or both, this theory still works.

My new understanding of 9/11 explains to me WHY they did it. I can almost sympathize with it, and could actually argue the case in court for both sides. Wow, no clue. We have a remote mouse so sometimes the battery gets slightly dislodged or needs to be changed. Also the little plugged into the computer USB port wireless signaler (I guess, don’t know the actual name for it) could get slightly dislodged.
Hopefully the computer geeks here could give you an assist…or you could look up the problems on YT or message boards (how my husband learns how to do car/home repairs in tricky arenas). Hope it continues to work OK for you!
Hard to get an assist when your computer will not even boot – solved the ‘mouse’ problem by checking to see if system acknowledged it – it did not – easy peasy fix – my last challenge – and off to the races I went!!! I do believe I had ‘Geek Angels’ helping – lol

“Ladies, teenage girls RUIN your LIFE. If you’re lucky, they grow out of it. One of mine did, the other hasn’t yet, but there’s NOTHING good about the teenage years with girls!”

But I will anyone, since I’ve lived it and she hasn’t.
I was born and raised in Venezuela.
Until I moved to Texas at the age of ten in 1972, I thought injections hurt like hell.
That’s because Venezuelan clinics used disposable needles over and over, until they were BLUNT and had to be RAMMED IN.
My father said Venezuelan doctors could do only two things:
Deliver babies and remove arrows.
My mother was allergic to bees, but there was no form of treatment in the entire country.
One sting, and my mother would die.
ONE Venezuelan doctor hundreds of miles away had studied in the USAnd knew about allergen-specific immunotherapy.
He needed bees to give my mother this treatment.
So my father borrowed a flameproof suit from the oil-company firefighting department and collected bees’ nests allover the region.
He put them in bags and popped them in the freezer.
When the bees were frozen, my father put them in a flat Pyrex baking dish until he had thousands of them.
It took weeks of bee collecting and weeks for the doctor to make the solution on his free time.
But it was successful.
Almost every male child in the oil camp broke his arm at some point.
All the kids who went to Venezuelan doctors ended up with chicken feet, so they had to go to the US to have their arms rebroken and reset.
I broke my arm when I was nine, and we went to the states.
We had a Venezuelan doctor put on a traveling cast for the flight to Miami, and it cut off the circulation to my arm.
A professional football player had to gently crack it open slightly.
My arm was cold, blue, and numb.
Next, the Netherlands.
Tons of people over over 25 had dentures.
Full sets.
Our Dutch neighbors told us to never go to the hospital under any circumstances. Go right to the US.
Doctors made house calls off the books.
If you did things legally, you had to wait months for an appointment.
If you paid cash, they’d come to your house to treat you for strep throat or the flu.
My brother was in a bike accident and cut his foot. He had to get stitches.
The clinic was filthy.
We had to wait nine hours.
They sewed him up with nylon fishing line.
And a blunt needle. No anesthesia.
He took the stitches out himself. Left a lovely Frankenstein’s monster scar.
The doctors and nurses smoked while treating you.
Next, Norway.
The absolute worst.
My sister got appendicitis and almost died.
The rooms all had four patients in each, so her bed was in the hallway.
She got no sleep for ten days.
My father had a nasal hemorrhage, so he went to the emergency room and bled for hours before they admitted him.
Tried to stop the bleeding with a balloon, and then they cauterized the vein.
He ended up with a sinus infection.
The treatment was from the Dark Ages.
Norwegians don’t believe in antibiotics. Their greatest terror is antibiotic resistant bacteria, so your infection either clears up, or you die.
To drain my father’s sinuses, they pounded a large-diameter hollow needle through the bone above his eye sockets using a hammer.

During the two weeks he was in the hospital, they brought him NO new robes, and they didn’t change the bedding once.
We brought him new clothes and bedding daily.
In two weeks, I never once saw a doctor or nurse.
And my father’s room was as dark as a dungeon.
And the hospital was filthy.
ALL DOCTORS COULD BE BRIBED.
The Norwegians have no over-the-counter drugs, including aspirin. Everything is by prescription except abortion.
There’s a black market for ASPIRIN.
Finally, Japan.
Resident foreigners are not allowed health coverage, but that’s okay.
The Japanese had the worst teeth I’ve ever seen.
Worse than British teeth.
I paid cash to see a doctor because my ears were stopped up from not having been cleaned in years.
He took a long bamboo toothpick and cleaned my ears manually, ramming my eardrums so many times it was like a torture in a prisoner-of-war camp.
My head hurt for days.
I started having dizzy spells, so I went to a doctor, and they told me I had to get check for a brain tumor.
This was 1987, but they used 1950s X-ray technology that required I be injected with a dye via my carotid artery.
They ran a wire up the artery to my brain.
No anesthesia.
The stuff of nightmares.
Talk about being made aware that you’re as full of guts as something hanging on a hook in a slaughterhouse.
In Japan, you just had to ride everything out, because there was no real advanced treatment except for the wealthy.
Fevers, food poisoning, sties.
I had a horrendous caffeine overdose when some racist butthole made my iced coffee about fifty times stronger than it should’ve been.
I went to the emergency room, and after they diagnosed me…they sent me on my way.
The thing about socialized medicine is that it’s INHUMANE.
Not surprising, since the entire ideology of leftism is totally inhumane.
Go live in Norway for three years, Donna.

His “theory” can be “repaired”. It’s close to the reality. Here are the defects, writ large:
(1) failure to properly understand nanotechnology. Cates makes the same mistakes that have been made since the beginning, when Drexler posited the field (after Feynman, but SHHHHH) and didn’t really understand chemistry and biochemistry and how they LIMIT nanotech. The nanotech Macguffin that he posits is not only wrong but unnecessary. A more realistic analog would be virological and immunological – to weaponize some kind of immune reaction effect, but, well, see point 4.
(2) failure to understand the relative power and economic advantage of disinformation versus actual technology. The whole COVID narrative is full of lies and deception.
(3) failure to understand how 4GW (Fourth Generation Warfare) actually works – why USABLE bioweapons pass for natural (see Li-Meng Yan).
(4) failure to fully understand viruses, vaccines, and the significance of Li-Meng Yan’s work – how THE VIRUS as released IS THE WHOLE SHEBANG – as far as what has been released NOW – per what she has described – and why China wants her back. [NO – this woman has a lot to teach the free world].
I don’t really have time to critique his framework in detail, and I suspect that’s wasted time anyway. I could simply posit a more realistic analog. But I will say this – he gets the big picture and in particular certain basics.

Want to give you all an “on the ground in NE Ohio” update. I’ve been in the Youngstown Metro and Cleveland areas the last few weeks. Youngstown Metro has signs for both candidates, but Trump definitely has the lead. This was always a democrat stronghold – but it’s changing! Rural areas and Amish country are almost exclusively for President Trump. Very few Biden. Moving north and west, the Eastern Cleveland suburbs were full of Biden signs. The town of Chargin Falls (very affluent & picturesque was almost exclusively Biden and numerous). Most all houses had at least one sign. I was so upset I didn’t stop to shop or have lunch. I decided not to spend my time or money there. The west side of Cleveland, near lake Erie had no signs for either candidate…I mean none! I was in several residential areas along the lake and saw less than 10 signs for local races…no signs for state or federal. Such a stark contrast from the eastern suburbs to western suburbs. Having trouble all day getting twitter accounts to load… anyone else?
Very spotty the past five or six days.
Can you specify exactly what that means, in terms of what you see (or don’t see) on the screen? Are you talking about Tweets in WordPress, or on Twitter? Are you talking about full Tweets with images and Twitter-looking stuff not showing up, or is not even the TEXT of the tweets showing up, and all you’re seeing is the URL? Or are pages just taking forever to finish loading all the tweets?
Many times the TW looks like text with a bar left and right. No pic, No blue bird, No obvious gizmo (series numbers/letters) to click on that will load a full TW, usually in a new window.
Yea, I am not a techie type or TW wise.
In time, minutes or awhile, the TW seem to load. Last week and before, TW loading was pretty quick…
This IS a bad analogy. Years ago, slower computers would screen paint, I think we called it. Load slowly, top to bottom. TW recently slow loading, opening. Words first, then in minutes TW fully loads.

Let me explain what is going on.
WordPress has a software MODULE called the Twitter Plugin For WordPress. What it does is to turn a Twitter URL that is all alone on a line by itself, into what is called an “embedded tweet”, that looks a lot like what you see on Twitter.
Modern browsers don’t have to honor all page instructions they get, and Chrome / Brave / Dissenter, as well as various ad-blockers and privacy extensions like Ghostery, can actually interfere with this Twitter plugin. They can turn it off partially or completely – however they want. Thus, in Brave, I “turn off embedded Tweets”, and that will STOP the process at the “text with bars left and right”. I like that – it loads fast, and gives me the key information from the tweet. If I want to see pictures, videos, and all the little gizmos, I just go to Twitter via the link in the text.
Part of the reason I do this, is because the Twitter plugin got really slow for me, taking too long to fill in all the tweet graphics and whatnot. But this was several weeks back. I gave up on loading tweets, essentially.

I apologize… not here… problem is most twitter accounts appear to be suppressed… as Lin Wood was describing. For ex if I go to Jack Poso’s acc”t that little circle twirls and twirls and NOTHING comes up… even the small accounts take forever to load so that I can read them.
WOW – that’s WEIRD. Yeah, I’m not experiencing that NOW, but I have in the past. I used to run into it with certain accounts that Twitter didn’t like. THAT is very nasty, and sounds like Twitter doing it, too.

The last week or so I’ve come across a separate problem with Twitter that causes me to have to gently read such posts. While reading a twitter post or string of twitter posts all the text in one and often more posts separate and become jumbled making it impossible to read. After multiple mouse passes the posts come back together but no one mouse gesture seems to do it all the time and they can separate as quickly as they came together again. It’s not just on a twitter page but includes any twitter post be it here or else where. It often seems to happen with posts with critical information. Personally I think it might be something either directed at me or from some up date from MS, my browser, or anti virus software as I did all three of those recently. It also has effected my ability to read notifications here in WP. Basically can’t as they don’t load and I have to open a separate browser to see them. That same thing does not let me like page views here either but does not effect individual posts. Same thing on page views I have to use a separate browser to like those. Anyway, not as bothersome as it sounds as I’ve got a lot of RAM and that helps.
