I’ve only read, not watched POTUS speech. But, I’m getting the sense that this speech is very much part of the timed sequences of events….the hearings (that despite the lack of interest, in fact the blatant obstruction of the Media), the lawsuits, the rallies in several states, etc. , are all very much in that snowball that is rapidly gaining speed and mass as it careens down the hill. “Nothing can stop what’s coming…nothing”. Some of the wishy-washy fence sitters in Congress and in the Media would do well to remember that!
What we are witnessing is a populist movement unlike the US hasn’t seen in decades, and IMO it is just beginning as people get the courage to come forward to testify, to defy “The Machine” and work to throw out the corruption. We, as a nation and people, were beaten down during the Obama years and I will never forgive him and his inner circle for that. I think we were taken by surprise and shocked (at least I was) by it all, and we’re powerless to resist it (racism, you know!) No more! We have, at last, found our voices and are walking the walk as well.
My concern is the lack of time and the “undoing” of the actions of the election frauds because as we know the wheels of Justice grind very slowly. And, I also worry about the utter panic that causes desperate measures by the enemy. However, I have to believe in the end it will turn out okay…because, in truth, that’s all I can do.
It’s funny, back before XVII started posting on 4chan, there were rumors that POTUS would address the nation on various topics. I wonder if we are seeing the beginnings of that.

Timing …. Several tims while watching the speech/”statement” by President Trump yesterday I was jarred by particulars that made the speech seem dated, not freshly made yesterday. At first I paused, looked at the date and the next time I thought maybe I had the wrong video and then I just accepted. None of the details are memorable at this point and I just watched 2 hrs of MI hearings and have no time to relisten to POTUS speech to find the details. I am thinking about migrating very soon – possibly THIS WEEKEND.
IMHO, you will make your life significantly easier by developing a crossover punchlist. Start at T-3 and go to T+3, and list what needs to happen by when. Example — on the date of crossover, all the comments on all the threads on the OLD site need to be stopped and locked. A notice needs to be put on the OLD site that everything is migrating. A notice needs to be put on the NEW site that comments are PAUSED so that all comments from the old site can be migrated and sync’d and that comments on the OLD site have been stopped.
It’s gonna be a light list, with an enormous number of compromises and “cthulhu will wince” items, but it’s still a good idea! 😀

I’m sure you know this, but doing significant changes to your production system is like going “all in” on every hand in poker. It makes sense when your pile of winnings is $5, or even $100 — but if you have $120,000 on your side, you don’t want to be putting it on a pair of jacks. In general, it’s all about how valuable the thing you have is, even if it ain’t quite right, vs. what marginal improvement could be made with the change (and, of course, how much damage the change might do if it goes awry).
I happen to think that you’ve done very well at standing-up a very good website in a very short amount of time. After the change, however, it’ll be the only lifeboat we have.

The main problem is the “human capital” vis-a-vis the “single exit” from WordPress.com, which we barely made it through earlier. I can do it again – complete – but it’s rough on these good folks. Do we make all these good people RE-REGISTER on a TRUE production site?
Our limited resources versus the problems give us TWO general options:
(1) Treat everything we’ve done as “Test”, close both sites for 6-24 h, and bring up a brand new, complete site – a pristine and complete copy of WQTH – as Production – complete in all ways except what went into “Test”. People may have to re-register, etc. – but they’ve had practice. If we want to salvage any of “Test” INTO the production site, we do it later. My estimate is 6 h downtime – 18 is the 3X multi-fail problem time – 24 is padded with extra.
(2) Let the current new “Test” site become Production – with 10 days worth of WQTH posts muddled in at our leisure. Nobody has to do re-registrations, but it will not be 100% – only approaching it over time. This is because WP.com limits our options to a single data exit without giving them a bunch of ransom money they do not deserve, and which I refuse to do on various grounds.
The viability of (2) is going to get tested momentarily, based on some reading I’ve done. If it works, (2) is a viable approach to getting a 100% copy over time. If it fails, then (1) looks more reasonable by all accounts.
I suspect I know your inclination, but let me ask EVERYBODY. Is a 6-24 hour downtime acceptable?

It’s interesting to note that Gab started out with up/down votes – separated – and got rid of down votes.
I could go with just upvotes and use the “thumbs up” icon, and it would basically be a “Like” button.
I also note that almost nobody has used the down vote feature so far.
I think the upvote is all we need. As I said, it changes the character of a site. People can just mosey on if they don’t care for a comment, or they can respond with their thoughts – better discussion values. But eventually, downvotes bring a negativity which, IMO, is good to avoid. Downvotes begin to set a different tone and atmosphere on a site.
I’m trying to stay positive and hang out where it’s a good place to be. But that’s just me.

The new Q tree won’t let me post now, then I noticed I was logged out. So I tried to log in, and it won’t let me log in on the page where I’m trying to post (in the text boxes below my post), and it won’t let me log in if I right-click on the ‘log-in’ and go to a fresh log-in page.
I tried entering my WP screen name and then my pw, and it didn’t work. Then I tried entering my WP email address and my pw. still no go. Two tries left before I have to wait 20 minutes.
Should I just use the ‘can’t find my pw’ option, or is something else going on?

Well, how many times have you seen someone comment that they cannot like a comment? They’re not mad at the poster, they are mad at the news the poster is relaying. A dislike might get used by this person and be taken the wrong way.
So now under those circumstances someone might hit dislike and it might be taken the wrong way, not as an indictment of the latest Deep State fuckery, but rather as a slam on the poster.

If the standard “Like” is available and shows who “Liked” a post, just like we have here, that one gets my vote.
‘Liking’ someone’s post is a way of showing you agree with or support that person, or what he or she said. If you can see who ‘liked’ a post, it has meaning. It’s a very ‘human’ thing, and a positive one.
If it’s just a ‘+’ sign, that’s very impersonal.
If I agree with what someone said, or I want to show support or appreciation or thank them by clicking the ‘like’ button, they ought to know who is agreeing with them, or thanking them for their contribution. The system we have now makes that easy to do.
And if you receive a ‘like’, it’s always nice to see familiar ‘faces’ (avatars usually), and you get used to associating specific avatars with specific screen-names.
If I have ‘likes’ on one of my posts, I can see at a glance who liked it, mostly just by the avatar, without even needing to read the screen-name.
It’s a very human thing, a way to identify (and identify with) other people 😁

An audit of 1,440 Nevada mail-ballots suggests that 2 percent of the ballots were cast on behalf of voters who never received a ballot in the mail and one percent cast on behalf of voters who said did not vote at all.
Baselice and Associates conducted the audit for the legal team representing the Trump campaign in Nevada. The firm called up the voters identified on each mail ballot. The findings suggest that 3 percent of the ballots were cast by someone other than the person identified on the ballot.
The legal team presented the findings during a call with reporters on Dec. 2 during which attorneys previewed the outlines of a lawsuit pending in Carson City, Nevada. A court hearing on the case is scheduled for Dec. 3.
The judge in the case ordered on Dec. 3 that the Trump team be allowed to inspect election machines. The legal team said that while they requested to perform a forensic audit, Clark County officials merely provided “a guided tour.”
“Machines were not usable, and we were not able to make a determination about the accuracy and integrity of the election process based on this inspection,” a press briefing from the team states. “We are entitled to a computer forensic inspection in accordance with the judge’s order. We were prevented from doing one. This was a digital election and we were not allowed a digital inspection. The ‘inspection’ today was like trying to determine if a car had failed brakes without getting underneath the car”.

I probably got a red alert on my file for that. lol

I tried to get a very routine blood test at a hospital satellite center today and called ahead to inquire about wearing a mask. They asked if I had a medical reason not to wear one and I replied yes. Put on hold …then told I would not be allowed in without a mask. My response…you are telling me that you are going against my own doctor’s advice not to wear a mask? Answer..you are not allowed to enter without a mask.
It’s that way at our medical facilities here, too–no options for those who can’t wear masks—–unbelievable. Guess they want those of us with breathing problems to suffocate.

I think that one might be possible every single person who screwed up the previous election has been executed. I believe that would put a hard stop to the “cheat until we win” theory, as it would make the recruitment of people to actually operate the cheat very difficult.

Great speech by the President last night. Interesting tone of voice to choose for the full 45+ minutes.
I have also noticed from election night and ever since that DJT and his team have taken a very ‘soft’ approach to contesting the election results, almost bordering on playing the victim card, but never quite.
It was very curious at first, because DJT knows for certain that he won in a landslide, and it would be very encouraging to his supporters if he and his team ACTED like it, rather than being humble to the point of sometimes looking almost unsure of themselves.
But after thinking about it, I’m sure that was a very conscious decision, for the sake of appearances, to appear sympathetic rather than indignant.
I don’t like it at all personally, I would much rather see them all be very aggressive, but they already have my full support, so they’re not appealing to people like me 😁

Dora, some of us think they might be better off not being tested. I had a pretty bad virus once, very ill for weeeks, and they never tested me to see what it was, just told me it was a virus. probably whatever was going around at the time. Gave me a prescription for an antibiotic in case i needed it to prevent secondary bacterial pneumonia and gave me a breathing treatment and prescriptions for congested cough.
Over testing IS a HUGE problem.
If one has no Covid symptoms, it IS STOOPID to test.
To me the point is about the bias about the testing. I agree with posters below that there’s too much testing. I have relatives that were foolish enough that when they were going to have a dinner together (before Thanksgiving) that they all went in to get tested even though no one had flu. because…. I still can’t figure out the convoluted reasoning why.

I spoke to an old friend last night, a Trump supporter, who was very down about the election results… and the impending doom of the Biden presidency.
He was incredulous at my certitude that not only was Trump going to be POTUS for the next four years, but that all of the famous people involved and hundreds more that he never heard of are going to prison.
He had absolutely no clue about any of it, everything I told him was news to him. More than once he started laughing and said it’s like we’re talking about two completely different realities.
He appreciated my optimism — and I told him again it wasn’t optimism, I was certain — but he said it’s just not possible.
He knows Biden cheated, but ‘he’s already been declared president-elect, and who can stop him’, he asked.
I said “Declared president-elect by who?”
He said “By the electors, it’s all over TV”.
I said the news media doesn’t decide who won the election, and the electors don’t vote until December 14th, so it hasn’t even happened yet.
Silence.

It was like I dropped into an alien world for about half an hour, and I could see exactly why he believed what he did after asking why he believed what he did, and where the information came from.
I explained as much as I could, and answered as many questions as I could for at least half an hour, and he sounded a little more hopeful by the end of the conversation, but he wasn’t convinced at all. He still believes Biden is going to be the next president, and he’s sick about it.

I watched a reality TV show featuring a young pest control guy. Coyotes were in New Orleans and he or he and his partner went down there to catch them and release them into the wild. (I can’t remember if the show featured the young guy from Shreveport or the guy from Kentucky and his sidekick.) The people were alarmed. The beasts had been roaming around for weeks.
I’ve found deer carcasses stripped of meat close to our house. One year I found the bodies of two fawns in the stream. They also kill wild turkeys. Their presence really impacts the wildlife, which will move on if coyotes are in the area.

Coyotes have been running around here in the urban PNW for a very long time. DH, when he was working, would go to work very early in the morning and would often see coyotes. They primarily eat small animals around here. I’ve not ever heard of them going after a small child in 50 years. Cougars? That’s another story.
There goes all the edible game – deer, birds on Long Island.
Coyotes have many negatives:
They will attack humans and children.
They also spread disease bearing ticks.
They are vulnerable to rabies.
We have problems with coyotes in N FL and our neighborhood homeowners association has warned us about all these dangers.
In my small lot senior citizen part of the neighborhood surrounded by woods, I have seen their tracks in my yard, heard them kill people’s pets, saw how they decimated our herds of deer in just one season.

All the witenesses were good, including this lady.
however I enjoyed the two ladies, one before and one after her, much more. Both were Indian immigrants but had very different personalities, the first was so sweet and down to earth grandmotherly type and the other a super sharp IT professional business woman with an impressive memory and command of facts. Both were excellent. If one only has time to watch one (v. 5 hrs of hearing) I would recommend the latter. she also touches on the racism displayed on election night and deals with the dems on the panel very well.
There was an IT man who testified to the data/Dominion aspect of MI. I just listed to a couple of minutes of that one but he seemed to know what he was talking about, raise excellent points and handle the hearing well.
Interesting was that the GOP chair of the hearing mentioned several times that Dominion had refused to come and testify.
I liked the MI hearings because they had only a handful of witnesses chosen from the many who have submitted sworn testimony and that allowed each witnesses that did testify to thoroughly present their case.
To me it seemed better to have fewer presentations that were told thoroughly than many 3 min. presentations because in the 3 min. testimonies only the headlines are stated v. completely explaining and telling complete stories.
The fewer witnesses but longer time period for each approach allows what is presented to get that much more of a solid proof on the record and for people to hear and then ending with saying “and we have X # of more sworn testimonies just like these” really makes an impact.
These longer stories seem like proof v. accusations or brief claims in the 3 min. testimonies we saw in other states.
I liked the MI better than either the AZ or PA.

My thoughts about this document are a bit different.
In it, it talks about something called the “blue shift.” This is described as the phenomena “whereby adjustments in vote tallies during the canvassing of returns tends to advantage Democratic candidates.”
“Explaining” the so-called “blue shift” seems to me to be the cheaters trying to get out in front of the cheat. In other words, they are trying to say the cheat isn’t really a cheat, it’s a legitimate phenomenon that happens for some unknown reason in elections. I say, yeah, right, tell me another one!
I think this is “out there” on purpose, to gaslight people.

One of my grandsons came to me and told me he is pretty sure a large garter snake was under our rain gutter extension. I told him to pick up the extension and I will grab the snake. It was the fattest snake I ever saw in our yard ever. We also had the greatest number ever of toads that season, and we lived her for 50 years at the time.
Anyway, I grabbed it by head and tail and could barely control it, it was so strong. I wowed the grandsons. About two Sundays later we had dozens of baby garters in our yard while the same crew of grandsons were here. They had a ball chasing them, as did I. DH was revolted. Lololol.

They DON’T CARE that they’re ruining lives and businesses, and trampling the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Also: The Los Angeles lockdown is a PRECURSOR to what Joe Biden WILL do, like he promised, NATIONWIDE, if, God forbid, he ever sets foot in the Oval Office.
Something else is going on. Think MONEY. These states are deep in debt, losing revenues daily with these lockdowns, while people are fleeing in droves. POTUS and Senate will not bail them out. Yes…the states are really deep in debt…and some of us out here are looking at having to replace a bridge over the Mississippi River. It’s a few years off, but one of the big ones was closed recently for repairs in the steel. That’s usually the first sign.
I do not live there, but those bridges over the Mississippi are vital. If that sucker, say, fell into the river, we’d feel the effects all over the country, we just wouldn’t know it was that bridge that did it.
Exactly. I’ve joked that there is a privately owned rail bridge right near the brewery that if it fell, you’d basically bisect the country. Not kidding. All rail lines use it, and it goes into the river between the Missouri and the Ohio, barge traffic will be hit pretty hard.
For the Interstate bridges, the fed – sometimes – pays for the span to be built, but the states are on the hook for the approaches, and repairs. I mean, the new I-70 bridge over the Mississippi, the federal government paid for the span. The states paid double for the approaches. The replacements for the I-70 and US-40 bridges over the Missouri since then, I think, the state of Missouri paid for. I know we’re paying for a lot of the upgrades on the Poplar Street, which is currently I-64, 55 and 44 over the Mississippi. Of course, that’s the one with the heaviest traffic.
The bridge that had the issues in the last 18 months or so is the Jefferson Barracks (JB in local terms) which is the I-255/270 outerbelt bridge south of the city. The next one south is in Cape Girardeau, and that’s about 100 miles. When that puppy went down, the traffic mess was just unreal.
Missouri and Kentucky, I believe, border each other on the Mississippi. There’s no bridge joining the two states, so there’s no way to drive from one directly to the other.
EXCEPT THAT, it turns out that because the river has changed course a few times, parts of Kentucky are west of the Mississippi and can be driven to without crossing water.
It is ALWAYS about the money, THEIR money. They ALL have a price for their souls. SAD.
It wouldn’t surprise me a bit to discover the mayors and governors are getting $$ from the CCP to break our major cities.

Update…My letter to the editor about masks, quoting Dr. Hodkinson extensively, was printed in our newspaper today. Since several previous ones had never been printed, I was surprised. In he past week there were been 2 other anti-mask letters, but more on their personal opinion and not with any medical data.

Update…now Snopes (I know!) is trying to debunk this doctor. But, my brief read shows you
need to read between the lines. For example, he says the COVID is a hoax…the Royal College of Medicine says that is false. matter of opinion, but Snopes counts it as discrediting the doctor.
Another point disputes he was chairman of a Pathology group in Alberta that no longer exists….however, it may have at the time. I haven’t checked the years.
They are really trying hard to discredit him…and perhaps he did, in fact, “enhance” his credentials…I do not know, but it would be incredibly foolish in his part. I personally think it’s a matter of debunking his opinion by smearing him.

Quick Status Update. Lost connectivity (broadband) Monday. Only tether to the world has been the radio and data eating phone which wouldn’t let me comment as the type response window was pushed past the margins (gave up on the phone yesterday as I watched my data drop below comfort levels). AT&T finally repaired me after many calls. Seems that the fiber optic cable to the house became exposed and I cut it while mowing the grass, (on them, cable should of been buried much deeper). Anyway, is back and will get started with the President’s Address from yesterday. Any more must know about recommendations appreciated but I know we have a habit of repeating things often so I hope to catch up by the end of the day.
We had a piece of fiber cable that ran over a very large rock that eventually got mowed and then needed repairing. At one point, I remember one of the phone company guys took a picture to post as an example of what not to do!
The NON English speaking idiots buried our cable a few inches deep in the drainage ditch that runs along side my driveway. My 1700 foot drive is now a complete MESS because Hubby would not let me take the tractor and reditch the drive.

You will possibly be able to look at both planets SIMULTANEOUSLY with a telescope, depending on which lens you are using. I have some lenses that allow one to look at the entire moon; they will certainly work.

They are quite distant from each other in reality, Saturn is hundreds of millions of miles further away from us than Jupiter is, and even if they actually occupied the same exact spot in our night sky, there’d be no collision; Saturn would appear to pass behind Jupiter.

Real life is real life, and I’ve been out in the field every day for the last 8 months. You’re right, a lot of people are scared. But a lot of people aren’t. Expecting mass compliance of these rules is a pipe dream. The politicians lost control of the messaging a long time ago.

Learned all about this when they were saying all the Texas hospitals were full. BS. Went to Med Ctr online, it was only a cluster of their hospitals. They run 70-80% ICU utilization on purpose. When COVID cases started rising, then they hit 100%. They temporarily went to Phase 1 overflow by adding beds. Never went to Phase 2. But that 100% full NEVER was all COVID patients, maybe 30-35% tops, of over 2,000 beds.

PELOSI has had plans in place for some time about removing (by armed force if necessary) POTUS Donald Trump bodily from the White House and having Joe Biden “inaugurated” as the 46th President on January 20, 2021.
If that scenario doesn’t work out exactly according to her plans, PELOSI then has Plan B ready: Forcibly remove POTUS Donald Trump from the White House according to the 25th Amendment and replacing him immediately with Mike Pence as Acting President and PELOSI as Acting Vice President. From there, to then remove Mike Pence in his capacity as Acting President and PELOSI then assuming the office and duties of Acting President.
Regarding AG BARR: Either he fishes or he cuts bait. POTUS will decide in a few days as to whether or not to show Barr the door.
Side Note: Looks like PELOSI had a facelift, browlift / outlining very recently. And hired a better makeup crew.

I did two massive posts of Roscoe’s thread on CCP CORNEA CRUD and it looks like they god tossed. The rest of my comments took about 10 minutes to appear.
We only have one movie theater in our small town…been closed for weeks now. I keep thinking about how it could be “repurposed.” One thing we do need, IMO, is a conference/events center. There are an abundance of hotels for the many various events our area draws tourists, and if there was a conference center for meetings, small conventions, events, etc. it would be an ideal “marriage.”
Would take some $$$, obviously and perhaps an add-on catering facility and a large events room but like most movie theaters there’s good parking, extra space, and in safe areas.
We also have a LifeLong Learning program at the University on the other side of town, using classrooms not occupied…a constant juggling of space. An unused movie theater could be ideal for the LLL classes.
Probably other possible uses to serve a community’s needs… such as renting out on Sundays for religious services, etc.
I could even see a major company buying up large numbers of the theaters and going into a community to pitch the idea of remodeling them and even managing them…much like they do for small country clubs, grocery stores, hotels, shopping malls, etc,
But, I would not like to see the Chinese do it, so don’t tell them! 😃
Assuming chinee own AMC or a significant purchase, a buying opportunity for capitalists. 🙂

OK – I have VERY good news.
We will move TONIGHT!!!
Also, it won’t take long. If I start at 1 AM, it should be done before morning.
So basically about an hour after grandma’s Friday post goes up, I will shut down both sites, move the recent data to the new site, and open up the new site. I will leave our forwarding address at the old site (meaning this site).
I just got “currency importing” to work – meaning I don’t have to import the whole old site again – just in units of MONTHS. I had to do some very clunky removal of existing data to make the programs not balk on me, but once it worked, it worked GREAT.
This solution is easier on PEOPLE. It’s not as clean as “starting over”, but it doesn’t force people to go through the hell of re-registering to get BACK on the new site after it gets wiped. We may lose a handful of very recent comments on very old posts, but it’s like a 99.999% copy of the old site.
Get ready to spend a few hours elsewhere tonight, from 1 AM Eastern time until maybe 6 AM or so.

As far as I can tell, Danny Crenshaw is a Deep State shill / mole.
During the whole ‘Groyper’ thing (this past spring?) there was some townhall where Crenshaw stood for every RINO position, in opposition to vocal members of the audience.
Then, IIRC, he made some kind of anti-Trump comment.
And he’s a member of the criminal Congress.

IMO, Lin Wood has serious legal battles to wage and should not be distracted by people claiming to be on our side by having to defend his character and support for the President.
The issue right now is the election.
I think LW has by now made it clear that Republicans and all who support the President who are able to legally vote in Georgia should do so.
And he has defended his support of the President. Going back years into any of our lives would reveal things we regret and now consider unwise. I am having trouble thinking that I actually really supported W Bush.
Now he should be allowed to get back to work to support the legal re-election of President Trump. This stress is enough for anyone to engage in, I question the efforts underway to discredit this very fiery, effective legal warrior for the President.

I have a weird personal superstition that nothing good ever happens on Mondays or Fridays. Simple little things become complicated, complex, and full of pitfalls. Maybe it’s just me.
Depends on when you work. For me Friday is get ready day, Weekends are do gigs and Monday is ‘dead day’ aka recovery day.
Even if your personal work isn’t keyed to Mondays and Fridays, a lot of the people around you are. Certain freeways in certain directions get weird — even if you’re just popping out for a magazine. Tech support calls that are supposed to be manned 24/7 go into weird waiting queues. If you expedite items at a “will-call” window, it may be shuttered and locked when you get there.

You should create your own blog on WP. Use it as a staging area to design your posts, then just copy over to QTree. They have a button that copies it over. That way you can work on it any time.😉
I created one just for media. It’s a PITA to get iPhone pix into WP. So I put them in the blog media bucket so I can use here. EZ PZ.
I *do* have a blog, and that’s where I store all media I personally have to create; though in order to put it in a post header it has to be in this site’s media as well.
If I think of a coin topic I can at least search for pics and the like (often the most time-consuming bit) while the site is down, but last I tried I couldn’t embed the pictures of them anyway.
And I can always write in mousepad (text editor for Ubuntu); I’ve done so in the past.
If all that shows up is “China is asshoe” that works for everything that’s going on!!!!

Well, I’m downloading system updates, and this one package, 3.6MB in size showed as downloading 4.0 MB, then the number dropped back all the way to 3.0 MB.
It looks like Dominion is in charge of downloading software too.

If you’re running Firefox, I am READY for the next version to roll through because this one sucketh mightily. I’m so annoyed that I’m considering reversion, which screws up your update behavior in a big way. I could also see sideloading seamonkey or palemoon just to avoid this Firefox release.
