DEAR KAG: 20210219 Joe Biden Didn’t Win

Friday is back at Wolf’s Pub, and it’s time for some battle Scripture before we get down to the Friday Night Special: Mead!

The Psalms are unmatched for inspiring us as we do battle with evil. A psalm a day keeps the devil away. And who couldn’t use a little inspiration right now?

Our President is currently deprived of his rightful office while a puppet is being jerked on his strings by the globalists and the CCP, and our freedoms are bleeding out upon the Dark Winter snow.

One of our champions, Rush Limbaugh, has died.

Parts of the country have been dealt a serious blow with winter weather that has strained to the limits the power grid. People have died from the cold in one of the most advanced and wealthiest nations in the world. This is unacceptable.

We have no idea how the SCOTUS will behave with the election fraud cases being heard today.

We are having to deal with the full realization of the treason that has taken our Republic and replaced it with a corporate political system that is for sale to the highest bidder.

We have been betrayed by our own, just as David was betrayed by Saul, and also by his own son, Absalom.

It is in this possible setting that David wrote Psalm 35.

I’m not going to do an exegesis of the whole psalm, but here is a link to it. I am going to concentrate on just the first verse, which when unpacked, will amaze and inspire you:

“Plead my cause, O Lord, with those who strive with me;
Fight against those who fight against me.”

(Psalm 35, NKJV)

I also have a copy of the Art Scroll Tanach Series, Tehillim (Psalms) described as the “sacred hymnal of the Jewish People. I have benefited from the commentary of the rabbis who, naturally, are steeped in the subtleties and language that give great insight to every verse of Psalm 35. The description reads in part:

“The Art Scroll Series presents the comments of the classic giants of ancient and contemporary times in a logical, comprehensible manner, like a master teacher on an exciting voyage of intellectual discovery.”

I have found this to be true. The painstaking and deeply thought out commentary is rich beyond words for those who love God’s word. I highly recommend the Art Scroll Series for any Hebrew Testament book you seek to study. They are worth every penny and more.

Now here is the same verse from the Tehillim:

“To David: Fight HASHEM, my adversaries, battle my attackers.”

Hashem’s literal translation in Hebrew is “the name,” and refers of course, to God.

And here is the same verse from the Jewish Study Bible, Tanakh Translation:

“Of David. O LORD, strive with my adversaries, give battle to my foes…”

Let’s unpack this one verse.

“Fight, HASHEM” is explained by one medieval rabbi, Radak, “as a command.” It’s possible meaning?

“Is it conceivable that a flesh and blood servant should order his master, “Go out and fight my enemies for me?’ Yet we find that the Holy One, Blessed be He, said to David, ‘You immerse yourself in Torah study and I will fight your wars.’”

(Art Scroll Series Tanakh Tehillim, p. 422.)

The Tehillim commentary goes on to link this with Moses in The Book of HASHEM’S wars, (Numbers 21:14),

“HASHEM said: ‘If you are [immersed] in the Book [of Torah study], then [your wars will become] the wars of HASHEM [and I, HASHEM, will fight them for you.]”

Isn’t that wonderful? If we immerse ourselves in Scripture study, God will fight our wars for us.

Next, we have “my adversaries.” The literal translation of this is: those who fight me. Likewise, “my attackers” has a literal translation: those who declare war on me.

Here the commentary makes an interesting observation. The attacks are one-sided. David is not attacking. He is being attacked.

“He does not say that he fights them, rather they fight him, but he does not reciprocate their hostility (Hirsch).”

(Art Scroll Tanach Series Tehillim, p. 422.)

According to one rabbi, if the adversary had been only one, such as Saul or Absalom, this would not have constituted a war, but a quarrel. However, because in both instances others joined with Saul and/or Absalom, “…the limited quarrel turned into a war. David refers to these outside interlopers as…literally those who declare war against me.” (Art Scroll Tanach Series Tehillim, p. 422.)

Here is the kicker:

Midrash Chachamin suggest that the difference between these words may be understood in the light of the fact that every war which flares up on earth is evidence of a tremendous spiritual struggle between celestial forces representing each side. David asks that Hashem first vanquish his adversaries above…and consequently this will spell the doom of those who make actual war below…his attackers.”

(Art Scroll Tanach Series Tehillim, p. 422.)

Let’s just repeat that:

“Every war which flares up on earth is evidence of a tremendous spiritual struggle between celestial forces representing each side. David asks that Hashem first vanquish his adversaries above…and consequently this will spell the doom of those who make actual war below…his attackers.”

This brings to mind:

“Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Eph. 6:11-)

And this:

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ…” (2 Cor. 10:3-5)

And this:

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed…” (2 Cor. 4: 8-9)

And indeed, Psalm 35 goes on in verse 2 to describe the taking hold of shield and armor, or as the rabbis interpret those words, as an encircling armor, denoting God’s full protection of David while his enemies are being destroyed.

It’s Mead Time

Moving on to our drink special this fine Friday, let’s learn about Mead, that fermented honey drink that is known by almost every culture the world over. Here’s a fantastic video by Tasting History with Max Miller. There’s a fun, crash course in the history of mead, and a very simple recipe for making your own. I liked this guy so much I subscribed to his channel. This video about mead has nearly 950,000 views in just a few months.

If you aren’t into making your own (but really, I think we should all be preparing to make our own mead, wine and beer as well grow our own food and raise chickens and goats and so on) you can certainly find some mead at your local liquor store. I’ve provided a link that will take you to a surprising selection of mead and mead products. Some of them look a bit iffy, but it would be fun to try a few and see how you like it.

Tonight, we have a home fermented mead made by our dear bouncer, Hans. He makes mead like a Viking. Speaking of which, here’s a fun book titled “Make Mead Like a Viking,” by Jereme Zimmerman. A taste:

“As you’re coming closer to a state of Viking Zen, allow your mind to detach itself from your body and travel back to an ancient world of fire and ice in which mythology, magic, and reality were so intertwined as to be one and the same.”

And to get us to a state of Viking Zen, I present a Nordic lullaby, The Wolf Song:

Part of the battle we are fighting against the supremacist elites in all our institutions and in business, is the intended destruction of our heritage. Whether you are English, Irish, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, German, Welsh, Scots, Austrian, Polish, Hungarian, etc., the globalists seek to destroy your western heritage, especially Christianity. We must not allow it.

We must do everything we can to preserve our heritage. Literature is key. Remember the classic legends of the Norse gods? A reprint of this wonderful book (of a series of classic literature for young people) is a potent way to learn of our heritage. I have just begun reading this one to my grandchildren. You can purchase it here. There are three volumes out now.

Bill Gates says cryptocurrency is one innovation the world could do without Published: Feb. 18, 2021
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/bill-gates-says-cryptocurrency-is-one-innovation-the-world-could-do-without-11613662510?mod=mw_quote_news

___________

I wasn’t a big believer in crypto… and then suddenly, I was.

For Billy Gates to come out against crypto is like Burgermeister Meisterburger declaring that toys are no good.

.

Why doesn’t Billy Gates just die already?

What is he, a chicken?

What are people like Bill Gates really hanging around for? They already won this ‘game’, isn’t it time they set their sights on whatever comes after?

It gets to the point where they’re just piling on, and it’s really in poor taste — especially for a eugenicist like Billy.

If billionaire megalomaniacs like Billy Gates believed even 1/100th of their own BS, they’d shuffle off this mortal coil now, to get established in the hereafter, before their competitors get there.

What they need is a good dose of FOMO… 👍 😁

scott467

If Billy and his kind are even half as clever as they think they are, then they know in their cold black hearts that they can beat the Devil at his own game, and take over his kingdom.

pgroup2

But the main thing is that they want us to acknowledge their greatness when that happens.

We won’t so we must be abused.

Deplorable Patriot

Their souls are already done to Satan. They’ve betrayed mankind. They serve a master who demands full cooperation, not in the way we who fight what tempts us have freedom and free will. It’s more consuming.

It’s a hard truth to reconcile.

suzyqster58

There master has devoured there souls. They only look human to others ,but to us with eyes to see we see the creature that lurks within. God will have no mercy upon these creatures at the judgment.

scott467

Just listen to this guy. Billy Gates is someone who knows a thing or two about criminal activities.

This from a guy who hung out with Jeffrey Epstein.

……………….
Asked during an interview published on Thursday with The Wall Street Journal what technological advancement the world could do without, Gates had this to say:

“The way cryptocurrency works today allows for certain criminal activities. It’d be good to get rid of that,” he quickly added: “I probably should have said bio weapons. That’s a really bad thing.”
……………….

This from the guy who sponsored the ‘Event 201’ rehearsal for China virus just weeks before it was unleashed on the world.

He can’t be convicted for crimes against humanity soon enough.

And as a eugenicist, he would wear it as a badge of honor.

Oh, this Bill Gates must have intel that he’s on the short list of criminals in THE COUP.

GATES : ” All Rich Countries Should Move To 100% Synthetic Beef ”

__________

Why not have all the so-called ‘rich’ countries just tell Billy Gates that they switched to 100% synthetic beef instead?

It could be another enriching aspect of his vivid fantasy life.

It’s not like Billy would ever actually interact with a normal person, and he and his cronies would never eat synthetic beef anyway, because hypocrisy is their god.

So it’s a win-win.

Billy can believe everybody follows his delusional whims, his delusional whims affect nobody (most especially himself), but his belief that people are following his whims (when he doesn’t) means he can continue to be the biggest hypocrite on the planet, which is his real objective.

Everybody wins. 😁👍

Who elected Gates? He is an example that money does not bring happiness. He is very sad person who wants to be relevant and in the limelight. He has realized money can buy stuff but not love.

If Syn Beef were so much better than natural beef, the elites would be hoarding it for themselves and we would never get any.

Sounds like BG wants the natural beef for the elites.

Connecting dots… I wonder if he is laying the foundation for syn beef because he knows there will be a beef virus to kill off our herds. Here’s the dot, he is buying up “huge tracts of land” (monty python reference lol)…for his private protected beef herd?

Gates is buying up cheap farm land so he will have control over PRODUCTION (won’t be any more of it)…and…to cover all that farmland with WEF’s idea of Happy Living : free rent housing !!

Work Is Freedom !

right ? ring any bells ?

problem is…WEF’s idea of Happy Living ! Free ! is that we will also have to relinquish our rent-free serf quarters to anyone and everyone else who might also need a space to live in, crash in etc while we’re out for a few hours…and then we come back to our free happy free space…but it’s occupied…

bummer…

oh well…we just go find someone else’s temporarily vacated space and squat there !

Most people are socialized to behave within certain norms, and to treat others people a certain way. The reason is b/c survival in a social context requires one to navigate social realities.

When people become wealthy they believe they are independent of those social systems, and superior to them. They have a lot of people sucking up to them for money and position. They feel like kings who can do as they please, and they don’t need social approval anymore to do it.

So yeah, his behavior has no social checks. Everything he does in the public eye is 100% optics and public relations (aka propaganda) right down to the Mr. Rogers-like warm globo-purple sweater and stacks of conspicuously placed books.

Oh man . . . and you know what else would be real bad, if there was a huge collapse of the hedge funds on Wall Street that sent all the tech stocks into the tank, and everyone shifted their money off fiat currency into crypto, and also bought stock in Main Street pharmaceutical manufacturers who can pop out HCQ like its candy. Man that would suck. Well, not sure it would suck for most of us, anyway.

Deplorable Patriot

“The way cryptocurrency works today allows for certain criminal activities. It’d be good to get rid of that,” he quickly added: “I probably should have said bio weapons. That’s a really bad thing.”

Crypto also allows for unlimited surveillance.

That’s also a bad thing.

michaelh

He’s really afraid that his ill-gotten gains are going to come to naught. He’s as invested in the fiat money system and the Wall Street machine as much as anyone is.

Remember, during the crypto-coin bubble there were paper billionaires who were worth more than Gates. But he’s been passed by Elon and Jeff for the time being.

Sadie Slays

Here’s one Mockingbird meltdown over crypto. Did you know you personally kill a Uighur and the planet every time you purchase Bitcoin? Yes, it’s entirely you’re fault, and certainly not the CCP’s.

I’m super skeptical of crypto, but after seeing who is attacking it, I may have to re-consider.

Oh yeah, Bitcoin is racist, too.

LMAO!!!

I have kept my mouth shut for the most part about people saying “white privilege”, but when Nancy Mafiosa Pelosi picked that LUZIANA TURD who threw the “white privilege” card at Josh Hawley, I had enough.

Nancy Pelosi only picked that guy because he’s TOO CORRUPT – as in BAD CAJUN CORRUPT – to do anything but cover up her role in the Capitol Hill PLOT.

“White Privilege” in this case is actually caring about LAW, something Mr.BROWN SPOTLIGHT PRIVILEGE obviously doesn’t.

I will NOT respect corrupt, CHINA-OWNED military sell-outs. And anybody in the military who barks China’s Maoist CRAP is a sell-out.

It’s in a bit of a bubble right now. When I got my pocket change sized wallet I really had no idea that my $10 would turn into $25 before I remembered where I had the Bitcoin stashed. Bitcoin is the most stable and works for buying stuff the best I guess. Other coin types could be considered more speculative.

I do think it’s a good idea to pick at least a wallet app and put some money into it just to learn how it works. I would NOT put anything into it that wasn’t okay to have gone if a bubble pops.

michaelh

1) You are right to be skeptical of crypto.
2) TPTB like having control (Fed) and don’t like losing control (crypto)

This disinfo war is getting highly predictable.

Insert propositions into the public discourse that are both true, but make it seem difficult or impossible to harmonize them into a unified understanding.

Result is false dichotomies, cognitive dissonance, psychological amplification via social media, social division, and ripping at the social fabric.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Yeah, the “anti-white” stuff is becoming so embarrassingly Nazi-mirror that nobody of good faith who remembers anything about WWII in REALITY can stand by without cringing inside. It’s time to stop merely cringing and speak up.

“White-denigration virtue signaling” is literally taking on EVERY aspect of the “war against Jews”, or Klan racial “theory” of the early 20th century, yet people of all kinds just stand around and nod to save their own skins.

BS! This stuff is “evil as good”. Wicked!

American Jews in particular need to WAKE TFU now. THERE WILL COME A POINT WHERE THEY ARE “TOO WHITE”. There will be no talking the mob out of its China-stoked fury with “I’m not white – I’m Jewish!” YEAH, RIGHT. Man up now, or go down later.

Everybody tries to bargain with Bolshevism. It’s NO GOOD. Deal with Satan, YOU LOSE.

Tonawanda

With the exception of Candace Owens and some wonderful social media folks, it seems that non-white people are simply NOT going to denounce the daily hatred directed toward white people. That is not good.

And all the (many) Jews in my life (with one exception) are Trump lovers and MAGA, but they have stories to tell which helps explain why.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

The good news is that MANY “POC” do find the racial obsession and anti-white stuff completely ridiculous, but they are “more shy than shy Trump voters” about it. It’s one of those cases of “I’m not gonna say anything – I’m safe”.

But yes – as you say, they will not denounce it. They’re a lot like those who were “safe” during the Third Reich, a technique which was used liberally to gain compliance. Why send 10 people to camp, when they could merely send 1 and declare the other 9, most of whom were in violation of the rules, “OK”? It’s beyond Alinsky – FREEZE MULTIPLE TARGETS.

I only know about this hidden POC disgust with the race-crazy by knowing somebody who picks up an enormous amount of this stuff through gossip. They’ve also noted that this election really red-pilled many POC, who now sound like raving MAGA in private, but will not admit, even to my source, to having voted for Trump. My theory is that they secretly voted Trump, and are shocked that MORE VOTES FOR TRUMP lost this time.

“THE STEAL” was necessary to maintain the illusion of the Democrat / CCP party. They HAD to do it.

Tonawanda

In all fairness, there is an understandable reluctance. The least common denominator traps a lot of people into all sorts of things, and everybody must judge his own situation for himself. It’s very hard to step up.

TheseTruths

“Illusion,” perfect. The country is not far left.

singingsoul1

Civil rights apply all people to all white people unless the left thinks we are not people?

singingsoul1

Judaism is not a race it is a religion I was taught in Germany.
One cannot have it both way. If they come after Christianity they also will come after Jews. The one who are not practicing have no problem and many of those are left.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

You are seeing the problem! And with Bolshevism, Nazism, or any kind of socialism, the RULES change upon a whim.

One of the worst legacies of the Nazis was the “over-racialization” of Judaism, but that is part of the mind-control which is in fact exerted by racialism and/or racism of any kind. It created a legacy of thought in ALL who are affected. And the Nazis were very nasty this way, splitting Jewish congregations based on their race laws – pure DIVISION – life or death – which gave their terrible thinking permanence, even against the will of the victims.

Forcing focus on race makes focus on race more permanent.

We have to learn from the past and not repeat these mistakes!!!

singingsoul1

The thing about crypto is that it’s sort of like deciding that bubble-gum cards are currency. Yeah, they’re in fixed supply….but there’s no screaming thing that says, “I must be bought in BitCoin.”

Back in the day, there were things called “flower bonds”. Most bonds have a nominal value — for instance a $1M 30-year bond would redeem for $1M, 30 years from now. They might or might not pay interest in the meantime. If you want to buy a $1M, 30-year bond, it might cost you around $550K today — because there’s a lot that can happen in 30 years, and the discount implies an interest rate (about 2% in this example)

For flower bonds, the weird thing is that you could use the entire $1M to pay estate taxes by surrendering the bond……even if 30 years had not passed. In fact, if you bought one TODAY for $550K and croaked tomorrow, your estate could use the entire $1M when it filed its estate tax return (which would likely be in about a year). That’s a compelling thing that can be bought with flower bonds.

wheatietoo

The thing about crypto is that it’s sort of like deciding that bubble-gum cards are currency.

It seems like a Ponzi scheme to me.

What is crypto backed up with?

It is valuated and quantified with dollars, or other currencies too, but mainly with dollars.
Does that mean that a Bitcoin is backed up by some dollars in a vault somewhere?

There is a lot of mumbo-jumbo being used to answer these questions.
I’ve tried to understand it.
But it doesn’t add up.

Maybe that’s why Globalist Ghoul Gates is trying to destroy Math by declaring that it is “racist”.

Last year when I was searching for any info I could find out about the Three Gorges Dam in China…I learned that the majority of ‘bitcoin miners’ were located there, in the path of floodplain below the 3G Dam.

“Bitcoin miners”…?
What are those?

Those are people on computers, working to drive up the price of Bitcoin.

Come to find out…most of the ‘bitcoin miners’ are in China.

So why would the ChiComs want to drive up the prices of crypto currency?
What do they have planned for it?

The whole thing gets the full side-eye from me.

Trouble with the STOCK MARKET is also ‘miners’ – people with big money manipulating its value – AS WE LEARNED with the grand hedge funds’ short-selling scheme – that was foiled by the group of ‘outsiders’ from the internets.

I came across a tidbit some years ago that the majority of the fiat currency traders were actually working out of the Pentagon. Control a nation’s currency, and you control the nation. It’s part of how we “defeated” the Soviet Union. We bankrupted them by trading down the Ruble.

My best advice for “money” in the times to come is working out what you can BARTER.

Something you can do, something, you can grow, or something you can raise that you can trade for other things.

Bitcoin is just too “funny money” for me. What happens to to you when the power goes out, like in Texas right now?

Exactly right, Aubergine.

Hey Wolf, I discovered another “anomaly” when trying to edit my comment above. I clicked the “edit” button & kept getting the processing indicator (little black lines under the “bell”) but the edit box didn’t open up. So I kept trying to click it a few times as it kept not opening. when the edit box finally opened up it had quadrupled or quintupled my original remarks…hmmm. So I erased all but the original stuff & added the edit.

Just wanted to let you know of that bit of quirkiness here…Blessings!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

You probably walked past it on the way to the Capitol on a certain day in January.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

I tell you, it looked familiar, but when I thought about it, the first resemblance that came to mind, was to a SIMILAR museum to journalism in a foreign country!!!

But yes – I think there is MORE.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I reposted my picture of it from the 6th elsewhere in this chain. Scroll up and down and look for it.

wheatietoo

The ‘Newseum’ closed in Dec 2019.

It still has a website…but it’s news museum closed to the public over a year ago.

So that’s probably why they are disassembling the 1st Am plates on the frontage.

Valerie Curren

Thanks Wheatie

Valerie Curren

Well the “news” has been disassembling the 1st amendment for way longer than that!!!

wheatietoo

Yes…abusing it, that’s for sure!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I was wondering what that building was.

It’s on Constitution Avenue, the route I and many thousands of others took to the Capitol.

Valerie Curren

Was the 1st Amendment stuff still on display for the Jan 6 event (can’t remember if you were there)?

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Yes, and elsewhere in this conversation I posted a pic I snapped as we walked past (it also appeared in my January 9th daily).

Valerie Curren

Thanks, I saw that from today but didn’t catch it on the Jan 9th one, at least not that I recall–my memory is pretty crappy nowadays, kind of forcing me to live even more in the present moment 😉

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I know you at used least to be several days behind, trying to read *everything*, too.

Valerie Curren

That was at the very beginning of me coming to the Q Tree. I read Every Post (well at least posts that weren’t the daily threads for I didn’t realize they were each so unique), but not all the comments, to get caught up on what was going on around here. When we were a slightly smaller community there was a season where I also read Every Comment, at least some days. Now it’s very hit or miss & I only get to every comment on posts w/ fewer comments. We are overflowing with abundance around here & it’s glorious!!!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Here’s the pic from my thread on the events of Jan 6.

I don’t know what this building is but I wouldn’t be surprised if the answer indicates they defiled the 1st Amendment by putting it on there.

Grandma in Texas – this look into the Psalms from the Hebrew perspective is powerful.

Your explanation of Psalm 35 makes a lot of sense spiritually. I’ve heard preachers and teachers talk about the battle in ‘the heavenly’

This gives me a new way to study and meditate upon Scripture.

Thanks for all the links too.

Here is a treasure from the Psalms:

Frances Allitson’s hymn, The Lord is My Light – from Psalm 27 sung by two wonderful voices:

Olumide

Phillip Webb

GA/FL

Learning the meanings, roots, history of the original Hebrew words opens up Scripture in a new and deeper way.

Here is Psalm 46:10 word by word using a Concordance to find the Hebrew word and meaning.

PSALM 46:10 – BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” – ESV

“Let us be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!” – Amplified

“Desist, and know that I [am] God, I am exalted among nations, I am exalted in the earth.” – Young’s Literal Translation

Surrender your anxiety! Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God. I am the God above all the nations, and I will be exalted throughout the whole earth.”  – The Passion Translation

He says, “Stop your striving and recognize that I am God. I will be exalted over the nations! I will be exalted over the earth!” – NET Bible

WORD BY WORD TRANSLATION

Rapha – H7505 – Stop, cease, let go, as in death.

Yada – H3045 – Know completely with certainty, intimately as in marriage

Kiy – H3588- Truly, absolutely, assuredly

ANO – H595 – I AM

Kiy – H 3588 – Truly, absolutely, assuredly

Elohiyim – H430 – Holy, Good, Redemptive, Omniscient, Omnipotent, Sovereign GOD

Ruwm – H7311 – Rise Exalted Above, Rule over

Gowy – H1471 – People, nations, multitudes, peoples, movements, hearts, souls, spirits.

Ruwm – H7311 – Rise Exalted Above, Rule over

Erets – H766 – Earth – All Creation – Heaven – Space – Sheol – All physical forces, dynamics, material and celestial entities, all time and eternity.

Now, thanks to Grandma in Texas – I want to read some of the ancient and modern Rabbis and early Christian expositors of Scripture.

It would be great to take Hebrew and Greek classes, either online or at my local Biblical Studies center.

MAGA Mom

Sometimes finding the time to go to a class is tough due to other interests, health issues, life demands &/or work schedules. And now in the days of wuflu restrictions even tougher due to community center rules etc.

1 idea is to shop homeschool curriculum for learning. You will be self paced, it will be interested v. dry college level learning and it will be from a Christian point of view. Plus, you can start almost immediately.

I watched some “video” of this thing….. It shows a parachute.
I thought mars had very little atmosphere?
How would a parachute work with little air?

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

There’s enough to help…some. It’s about 0.6% of our air pressure, though it depends on the altitude. Mars has a huge range of altitudes. They arbitrarily picked one specific altitude to be zero (“datum”), so that stands in for “sea level.” Some places are 8 kilometers below datum, the summit of Olympus Mons is 20 km or so above datum. Like on Earth, the lower, the thicker the air.

Many of the rovers get sent to the lowlands, where the air is considerably thicker.

OK, here’s the scoop from Wikipoo: Earth at Sea Level is 101.3 kiloPascals. That’s convenient; 1kPa is 1% of one atmosphere, well, close enough for government work. The top of Olympus Mons on Mars is 0.03 kPa. The average is 0.6kPa (20 times thicker), while the bottom of Hellas Basin (which is actually in the Southern Hemisphere; it’s the bottom of a BIG impact crater) is 1.675 kPa (another factor of over 2 1/2), which is still like being 35 km above sea level here. But notice the huge variation, fiftyfold, in the atmospheric pressure, far more so than on the surface of the Earth (and that would be true even if the ocean beds were dry).

The air is mostly (96%) carbon dioxide. In fact there’s more CO2 in that atmosphere than there is in our own. Manned missions could conceivably mine the atmosphere for carbon and oxygen, break apart the water in the ice to make hydrogen, combine the hydrogen and carbon to make methane, and make methane/oxygen rocket fuel to come back with. That would cut down the cost of such missions enormously, since we wouldn’t have to put the return fuel into earth orbit from the surface, then on to Mars. (Every gram of payload reduction reduces the amount of fuel enormously. If you want to meet someone who knows what it’s like to be a miser, talk to someone who has to design spacecraft.) Even before we found out there was water on Mars, the thought was to just send the hydrogen (and not the carbon and oxygen) to Mars with the mission; that would still have been a huge savings.

rayzorback

Thanks

piper567

Steve, many thanks for your post here…I was wondering ab the reverse thrust to soften the landing.
Much appreciated.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

We seem to have settled in on this particular mode of landing a probe (one time we used airbags!), to have something come in and at the last moment lower it on a rope as it thrusts like hell to stay aloft, all after aerobraking (a huge cost saver) and parachutes. If Mars had no atmosphere at all it’d be a lot more expensive to go there, because we’d have to use fuel to do ALL of the stopping, and then we’d have to use more fuel and bigger rockets just to boost that fuel to Mars!

piper567

Steve, gotcha.
thanks.

Oh Grandma that was so inspiring. Our Lord fights our battles! I have come to realize that this is huge huge war going on and its spiritual in every sense. My 80 year old mother called me last night and she rarely calls anyone so i was surprised to hear from her. She asked if could pray for my aunt and uncles who are in poor health age related which i was pleased to do, and i put her in my prayers also. We all need to pray for one another and you are right we need to be merciful towards each other and stand with each other in this battle of battles against evil.I have been a curmudgeon of late and the Lord has pointed out to me this no way to behave and I apologize for my bad attitude here some days. I have been quite terrified of late in watching our country go up in flames ,watching as an imposter has been undoing all the wonderful things our rightful POTUS has done for the country.
Its a new day and our Lord will be fighting along side of us this day and I have nothing to fear. All things will work out the way the Lord will have it! Amen!

Pat Frederick…post here!

duchess01

Thanks, Steve – will look – * Smiling *

duchess01

Oopsey – I thought she posted – * Sigh *

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Maybe she has and I just haven’t seen it.

duchess01

No – she has not posted – will pray – something is not right – if that were not the case – she would be here.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Maybe she got buried under a banana avalanche yesterday?

duchess01

Banana Runs are on Wednesdays – could be they had some additional snow – it has finally stopped snowing here – dunno what is going on there – they usually get it worse than we do – in the higher elevation where she lives – I think they are having a power problem – since their power company is in NY – they have slow service – it could be an ice problem, too.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I guess you don’t get the lake effect?

duchess01

I thought that was what we have been getting all week – although it did snow for hours on end – unlike with lake effect where it turns on and off – just weird.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I’m not personally familiar with the lake effect (we don’t leave liquid water lying around on the ground here), but I’ve heard it leads to fecal tons of snow.

duchess01

It can dump a ton of snow – yes – then again – sometimes the lake protects from getting major snow – in between snow belts – we are

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Thanks!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

We get monsoons here sometimes.

Surprising, but it’s technically the same effect as hits southern Asia. (But not nearly as much rain.)

duchess01

That is strange – guess given the right components/conditions – anything weather-wise is possible – or a variation thereof – still cannot understand what happened in Texas – how or why – not normal – at all – weather modification?

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I seriously doubt we can do that much, honestly.

Valerie Curren

When we lived in Gaylord, MI, the snow capitol of the lower peninsula, our last winter there saw nearly 250 inches of snowfall. Gaylord is nearly perfectly equidistant from the Mackinac Bridge, Lake Michigan, & Lake Huron so gets lots of lake effect snow. Now that we live in Metro Detroit (not far from where I grew up) it seems winters are mostly pretty lame. Compared to Up North the lake effect snow in Detroit is quite minimal. & we aren’t all that far from Lake Earie here either…hmmm

One of the last winters I lived at home, before heading off to college (& a decade) in Oklahoma we had record setting snow. In our front yard the walk to the house being shoveled meant walking through a tunnel of snow above my 5 1/2 foot head. That kind of snow fall was what stuck w/ me in OK where winter was so incredibly lame. I actually hated the weather there for pretty much any season because my tastes were firmly persuaded by near perfect 4 seasons in the midwest…

There are pictures in old photo albums of snow in Gaylord drifted to the eaves of the house. They once had to remove the screen door to get out of the house since the snow was higher than the door, which couldn’t be opened as it swung outwards! That type of snow is the stuff of legendary childhood memories!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Hopefully, though, SHD is doing well?

duchess01

I was – but, some here are upset with a picture from a video – they cannot erase from memory – agree – it is grotesque – but, there is great content in this video – oh, well.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Oddly enough when I went back to an earlier page the other day the big butt woman was gone, replaced by something else.

duchess01

It was? Interesting – someone took it down.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

It didn’t disappear, some video took its place. Maybe they just changed the cover for the video?

duchess01

Dunno – have not seen it – did not even flinch when they made fun of me – just saying…

Guess they will figure out how to get rid of the present picture of concern.

https://www.texastribune.org/2021/02/18/texas-power-outages-ercot/

Texas’ power grid was “seconds and minutes” away from a catastrophic failure that could have left Texans in the dark for months, officials with the entity that operates the grid said Thursday.
,,,

As natural gas fired plants, utility scale wind power and coal plants tripped offline due to the extreme cold brought by the winter storm, the amount of power supplied to the grid to be distributed across the state fell rapidly. At the same time, demand was increasing as consumers and businesses turned up the heat and stayed inside to avoid the weather.

ERCOT has three emergency procedures to balance the equation between supply and demand. Grid operators can call on other grids for help — Texas’ grid has limited connections to the eastern U.S. and Mexico. But in this week’s storm, so much power went offline that other grids couldn’t close the gap, in part because those grids were being stressed by the same storm.

Gingersmom2009

So what corners were cut with these coal and gas plants, that they figured they could save the money and throw it toward more solar panels?

Supreme Court Procedures
https://www.uscourts.gov/about-federal-courts/educational-resources/about-educational-outreach/activity-resources/supreme-1

Background
Article III, Section 1 of the Constitution establishes the Supreme Court of the United States. Currently, there are nine Justices on the Court. Before taking office, each Justice must be appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. Justices hold office during good behavior, typically, for life.
The Constitution states that the Supreme Court has both original and appellate jurisdiction. Original jurisdiction means that the Supreme Court is the first, and only, Court to hear a case. The Constitution limits original jurisdiction cases to those involving disputes between the states or disputes arising among ambassadors and other high-ranking ministers. Appellate jurisdiction means that the Court has the authority to review the decisions of lower courts. Most of the cases the Supreme Court hears are appeals from lower courts.

https://www.fox8live.com/2021/02/19/some-republicans-criticize-censure-sen-cassidy-state-gop-chairman-denies-there-is-rift/

Louisiana GOP Chair Louis Gurvich does not think there is a rift.

He told FOX 8, “The party is in excellent shape and it continues to grow strongly, and we win far more races than we lose. I have observed no major rifts within the party, our pro-growth policies are right for the country.

And Gurvich says he sees no signs of rifts between pro-Trump and anti-Trump forces in the party.

Concerned Virginian

And here’s the takeaway statement from QUIN HILLYER, a Republican Party operative. One suspects that Hillyer got a “friendly phone call” from RONNA MCDANIEL or her deputy. Remember what she said about “keeping Trump supporters in the fold” at the RNC winter meeting breakfast last month.

Quin Hillyer’s response after being asked “where does the Republican Party go from here?” —
“I wish I knew where the Republican Party goes from here. The Republican Party needs to go to a place where yes, it stands for conservative or center-right principles but that it does so in an inclusive way that it attracts more people and serves more people. Not one that becomes like a mini-Politburo.” said Hillyer.

What one sees here is what appears to be the encapsulation of what the the REAL RNC, the RNC of the backroom meetings, the RNC of the major donor lists in every Rolodex, is aiming for — an “inclusive” CENTER-RIGHT organization.

Hillyer is also making sure that the “great unwashed” of the Republican Party understand that, as far as the GOP elites are concerned, REALPOTUS Donald Trump did NOTHING to “attract” more people to the Republican Party.

My opinion: Individuals who are associated in any way with the current Republican Party need to understand the undercurrents, keep an eye open, and keep asking themselves if they’re being used.

Today is the 19th – and it’s the day our Supreme Court Justices will meet to consider the cases that Sidney Powell and others have submitted regarding the 2020 election fraud.

Here is the prayer:

Dear Lord,

RUSH, WE HARDLY KNEW YE

I knew this day was coming, I knew Rush wouldn’t live forever, but I’m sadder than I thought I’d be, and I can’t stop thinking about him being gone. First Trump gets schlonged by the Deep State and now this. The only good part of 2021 so far is the implosion of the Lincoln Project, but even that is small compensation. I have a number of things to say and it will take more than one rant to say it all.First, let’s talk about the snobbery of Con, Inc.

Ace touched on this yesterday:

I’m very, very tired of the Snob Jocks.

This is a claim these Twitter Intellectuals make — they read and you don’t. They write and you don’t.

And yet, they seem to spend all of their time “reading” and “writing” on… Twitter.

Which is not generally considered a medium of belles-lettres.

… the greatest fear of these pencil-necked weaklings is to be mistaken for one second, even if it’s just online, for a member of the (shudderworking class.

Yes, but I don’t think this is something new. This goes back to rich kid William F. Buckley, son of an oil magnate, went to school in London, Paris, etc. Very high-class, very hoity-toity. And this is reflected in National Review during his time as editor/publisher.
Rush once told the story of him being invited to visit Buckley at his home in Connecticut. This was just after his show went national and he was a conservative phenom.

“This goes back to rich kid William F. Buckley, son of an oil magnate, went to school in London, Paris, etc. Very high-class, very hoity-toity.”

As opposed to our President who is the son of a Scottish Highlander (Mother from the Western Isles) who just gets shit done and doesn’t care what the snobby rich kids think!

I’ll follow the Highlander before a so-called ‘principled’ republican soy boy/girl….
where’s my kilt and broadsword….are ready for battle….Aye!!!

From another Highlander Scotsman – ‘what are you prepared to do?’

Not so sure that was quite thought through, as Buckley was descended from Irish Catholics.

When people say this is a battle of Good v. evil, the *order* is wrong.

It is *evil* which fights *Good* … FIRST!!!

We respond, of course, to fight BACK – but it isn’t we who started the battle. Rather it is THEY who cause the strife.

First, they fight US.

I would try this outside before trying it indoors, and then only on hearth tile indoors in front of the fireplace.

Texas Was “Seconds And Minutes” From Complete Disaster
Tyler Durden’s Photo
BY TYLER DURDEN
THURSDAY, FEB 18, 2021 – 19:22

https://www.zerohedge.com/energy/texas-was-seconds-and-minutes-complete-disaster

One week ago, long before almost anyone else realized just how serious the situation in the plains states in general and Texas in particular would be as a result of the cascade of soaring nat gas prices, we warned that all hell was about to break loose. But not even we had any idea just how close to total collapse the system nearly was.

On Thursday, ERCOT officials said that the Texas power grid was “seconds and minutes” away from a catastrophic failure that could have left Texans in the dark for months. They should know: ERCOT is the entity that operates the power grid that covers most of the state.

comment image

The Texas Tribune reports that as millions of customers throughout the state begin to have power restored after days of massive blackouts, officials with the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, or ERCOT, said Texas was dangerously close to a worst-case scenario: uncontrolled blackouts across the state.

Maybe if they had read our warnings, none of what happened this week would have been a surprise. Alas, that was not the case. So in hopes to frontrun a wave of lawsuits, they spun their quick reaction as the only thing that prevented an even more catastrophic scenario: according to the Tribune, “the quick decision that grid operators made in the early hours of Monday morning to begin what was intended to be rolling blackouts — but lasted days for millions of Texans — occurred because operators were seeing warning signs that massive amounts of energy supply was dropping off the grid.”

“It needed to be addressed immediately,” said Bill Magness, president of ERCOT. “It was seconds and minutes [from possible failure] given the amount of generation that was coming off the system.”

With energy prices exploding to record highs, and with demand soaring, grid operators had to “act quickly” to cut the amount of power distributed, Magness said, because if they had waited, “then what happens in that next minute might be that three more [power generation] units come offline, and then you’re sunk.”

Magness said on Wednesday that if operators had not acted in that moment, the state could have suffered blackouts that “could have occurred for months,” and left Texas in an “indeterminately long” crisis.

In other words, the millions of households left without power – in some cases for days – were sacrificing for the greater good.

comment image

So by manually shutting down entire parts of the grid, ERCOT avoided the worst case scenario: one where demand for power overwhelms the supply of power generation available on the grid, causing equipment to catch fire, substations to blow and power lines to go down.

If the grid had gone totally offline, the physical damage to power infrastructure from overwhelming the grid would take months to repair, said Bernadette Johnson, senior vice president of power and renewables at Enverus, an oil and gas software and information company headquartered in Austin.

“As chaotic as it was, the whole grid could’ve been in blackout,” she said. “ERCOT is getting a lot of heat, but the fact that it wasn’t worse is because of those grid operators.” If that had occurred, even as power generators recovered from the cold, ERCOT would have been unable to quickly reconnect them back to the grid, Johnson said.

And since nobody can disprove a negative, one just has to take them at their word that dozens of people died so that millions more could live… or something.

. . . MORE . . .

One of the questions is why Texas could not purchase electric capacity from other grids.

* The Texas grid does not have interconnects to other grids. It is a separate grid.

* He mentions the Federal Power Act. Texas power companies avoided Federal regulation via “interstate commerce” by not selling to other states. God Bless Texas! I wish more industries in Texas would do the same. Texas is large enough (geography, population, economy) that it could be largely independent and self-sustaining, and could avoid the problems of Federal interference. Economic s3c3ss10n rather than political s3c3ss10n, the later being impossible to achieve apart from the former (cf. 1861-1865).

* Not mentioned but worth noting, other grids are having load problems too! It’s not like there is a abundance of power in the region at present.

A handy quick summary of the problems being experienced by the energy mix:

* Coal is freezing and they don’t have the equipment to unfreeze the piles. (Not surprising.)

* Natural Gas lines are unable to keep pressurized due to lack of insulation & winterization. (Again, not surprising.)

* Nuclear Power plants are shutting down b/c the cooling ponds are freezing & don’t have heaters, nor do the pipes that move the water have insulation tape. (This is a little bit odd, but apparently they didn’t get dinged by the NRC on it anymore than Fukishima did for not having a tsunami disaster plan.)

* Wind Turbines are freezing because they don’t have “cold weather protection like antifreeze and heating elements within the turbine blades” that are required in places like Iowa and Denmark.

The last one is not surprising, since the know-it-all-listen-to-no-ones installed the wind farms undoubtedly cut every corner they could so they could bilk the government for subsidies, leaving Bill Gates the talking point “they could have winterized them” to sound smart to the low-info masses but completely miss the point of out of control private-public partnership corruption that caused the wind farms in the first place. But then again, if wind power requires heating elements, we come back to, what’s the friggin’ point again?

In short, Texas has suffered from an appalling yet completely and totally predictable lack of extreme contingency planning, in no small part amplified by the MCM’s incessant harping on “global warming” and the “humanitarian disaster” every time a hurricane blows in from the Gulf. Politicians chase the narrative like a trained dog chases treats, and fail to keep their eyes on the big picture. This has been a known problem for DECADES and yet they continue to get caught every time this happens.

Please

Here’s another explanation by an insider that sounds legit. My TLDR – It’s a complex issue and not just one thing is at fault. Wind power isn’t at fault. It comes down to cost/risk in safeguarding the system.

Cut/Paste:

Ok. Opening up, Full disclosure, I am in the solar industry. I have built about $1.5B of wind, and I spent 5 years doing transmission development in ERCOT.
My transmission experience made me open to any technology that works.

1/
The ERCOT grid is a very complex beast. It can’t call on other grids for support (but that is a bit overrated as typically when you need power so does your adjacent region, but that’s later).

2/
The Texas market consists of Generators, Transmission Owners (incl Distribution), Retail Providers (who you pay for power), and ERCOT that manages all those.

This is a similar setup that you’d see in any region (SPP, MISO, PJM, CAISO).

3/
ERCOT is a 501c3 nonprofit that is charged with managing the market, but above all, reliability (keeping the lights on). In my experience some of the smartest people I’ve ever met work there. Wish I could name some of them because they’re absolutely brilliant.

4/
Transmission and Distribution is regulated. They get a guaranteed rate of return ~10% for every dollar of capital they spend to keep the system reliable. So they always want to build new projects.
Distribution is where most outages are because 1) there’s so much of it and 2)
5/
2) they’re smaller lines and substations. So trees, squirrels, and snakes can cause an outage.

Transmission is 69kV and up.

6/
Generators in Texas and any market since FERC order 888 are independent power producers. Every plant is its own company. So a single gas plant is looking at its own profit and loss statement and has its own financiers.

This means that upgrades are paid by the specific owner.
7/
Retail guys, municipalities, and cooperatives are the guys who buy power wholesale and sell it to the end user (residentials, commercials, industrials).

Retail outside of municipal or cooperative areas can shop for a retail provider.
8/
Those retail providers are bidding on a very low margin and buying at day ahead and spot prices heavily. So they’re going to be the biggest losers but had the least to do with everything in all this.

9/
Getting really in the weeds but I’m getting there.
10/
So…every year power plants take outages to do maintenance. The best time of year to do so is Feb-April. That’s because most cold weather events in TX are handled with natural gas and propane heat. Not electricity. My February bill every year is one of my lowest.

11/
This year, ~20,000MW of (gas and coal) Power plants requested an outage. ERCOT runs an outage study looking at demand and other available resources, and then says yes. (They make sure all the plants in Houston aren’t out for example because that would jack up Houston rates).
12/
Last week, we look at the forecast and see some cold coming. Everyone goes and buys milk and eggs. ERCOT calls the 20,000MW and says “can y’all come back on?”
Some say yes (5000?). Rest can’t. Once you start a major outage you can’t get back up in a month. Much less a week.
13/
If those plants could be back up they would’ve because they want to make big money.
So, Feb 11th, we go to bed, wake up to a coating of ice. This ice is thick and persistent.
Next day, sun is out, roads are good. Maybe we’re through the worst?

14/
Wind farms have some icing issues on the 12th but they’re back up and spinning after a few hours.

Solar panels in Texas tilt so they tilted away from the sideways-blowing ice and back to the sun in the morning and generated well thereafter (little yellow bumps).

15/comment image
Then Feb 14, snow.

Then the temps drop to single digits.

On the night of the 15th, between midnight and 3 am, 8000MW of gas, 1200MW of Nukes, and 2000MW of coal trip off the grid. Culprits are frozen gas pipelines and water for steam. (Note the Big gas drops)

16/comment image
Steam is still how we turn turbines in plants that burn stuff. Gas plants burn gas, coal plants burn powdered coal, nukes use the radiation to heat the rod then the water. The steam turns the wheel where the hamster would go and that turns the gyros.

17/
So no water through the pipe, no steam. No gas no gas to heat that water.

That trip caused a lot of the outages and most of the outrage.

18/
ERCOT has 2 connections for more power. Mexico which is a buyer of our cheaper power and Oklahoma (that sucks) that was also having rolling outages due to this winter storm.
These are DC ties. That can go either way.
Total, I believe there’s less than 1000MW of ties.
19/
So ERCOT’s only options in these situations is:
1) cut off a big chunk of the customers.
2) let the whole system trip and take months to get back to normal.

So they disconnect grandma.

It sucks. But it’s their only hope.
20/
Thing about the outages, they’re not spread out because there are areas that have a weaker system than others. I never lost power. My poor parents have been off a lot and my dad is piiiiissed!
This is a distribution thing and it’s a lag between the growth and the system.
21/
Almost done. So, what the fix?

Depends. Is it worth it to winterize a plant?

Cost of winterization = X

Benefit = $9000/MWh x hours we’ve had this pricing (80?) x MW at the plant

Is Benefit > Cost???

22/
Last thing. In 2011. We had a bad winter but it was followed by a drought and the worst summer ever. Power plants didn’t have water in their lakes to run the plant. 100 days over 100°.
The grid focused on that issue instead of the cold.

So, I guess we’ll see how this goes.
23/
Questions?

Some of the changes are doable. The cooling ponds at the nuclear plants should be achievable. I suspect there are some low cost options that would address the coal as well.

Retrofitting natural gas lines is a no-go – has to be a rip and replace effort as part of standard maintenance. That would be a four decade long operation.

Retrofitting the wind turbines? Ugh. Why don’t we just take them down? It’ll take longer to retrofit them than their operational life. Again, for what?

The Feb 2012 ice storm was an extreme event, and he is right that it came off of the extreme 2011 summer where Texas had weeks of triple-digit heat getting up as high as 115. I had a contractor from Utah fly in for two days onsite and he complained about the heat – I told him it was only 104 and he came when we finally had a “cold spell” from the heat! Ironically, one of my projects was working on a DoE compute cluster at the time.

(The drought was terrible but even more pronounced in Oklahoma which was in the national news for weeks. When the drought finally broke, Oklahoma had widespread flooding followed by a round of widespread minor earthquakes, which only proved to the left that they needed to ban fracking to save the planet.)

But the summer of 2011, the power grid and ERCOT was also a topic of conversation, precisely because of Zero’s EPA putting the squeeze on electric production, and there was so little margin left on the grid.

After the summer ended, many of those power plants were finally able to go through their maintenance. There was a palpable sense of irony that we had been talking about power and water during an extreme summer only to have outages during an extreme ice storm.

RF121

I don’t believe the gas pipeline stuff. I do inspections at gas compressor stations. These lines have been buried for decades. The issue was more likely with the compressor stations going off line and not with the pipes that are buried. Some stations are self powered, others use the gas to run generators to run the plant. Lots of mis info coming out.

Winterizing wind turbines is just more expense. Looked at a 33 unit install in NH last year. Biggest annual cost is ice damage repair to blades.

michaelh

Very good point!

And yes – who wants to winterize a wind turbine? They are nothing but money sinks!

RF121

One facility I went to in one year had $5 million in turbine blade damage from ice. They were looking into blade heaters but not sure how much that was going to cost.

Add in one more. Guy called into talk show on the radio. Said he did maintenance on a variety of conventional energy generators. Said the newest model he worked on was from 1985. Meaning that they’ve not been replacing older generators or putting money into newer models of the conventional type of generators as one might suspect they would. Instead they’ve just been phasing them out in anticipation of bringing the wind/solar stuff on line instead.

And since nobody can disprove a negative, one just has to take them at their word that dozens of people died so that millions more could live… or something.

Actually, it’s no one can prove a negative. I can’t prove “there are no black elephants.”

I could disprove it, in principle, by finding a black elephant.

Actually, that’s easy. The GOP is chock full of black elephants. Black-hearted, that is.

Please consider writing your Congressman and Senators about vaccine mandates.

Here is a model letter I found online – to modify as you like:

Dear Congressman______

Please immediately sponsor and pass the COVID-19 Vaccine Bill of Rights memorializing resolution to re-affirm your commitment to individual rights of conscience, assembly, and movement.

The Vaccine Bill of Rights contains six general categories of protections for individuals against government overreach and attempted interventions by private businesses and organizations.

These are:

– No persons will be mandated, coerced, forced or pressured to take a COVID-19 vaccine.

No physician or nurse shall be asked by their employer to promote a COVID-19 vaccine.

– All persons reserve the right, at all times, to determine what is in their own best medical interest without threat to their livelihood or freedom of movement.

– All persons must be given access to independent information to help them determine what is in their own best medical interest, including the risk of death based upon age/condition from contracting COVID-19 naturally. This information must include information from sources that are independent of a conflict of interest such as a government, political or commercial entity. Such information can be included but cannot be the sole source of information.

– The elderly are additionally entitled to a knowledgeable, independent advocate with medical training to help them determine their own medical interest.

– Private businesses operating within the jurisdiction have no legal authority to require or mandate or coerce medication or experimental medication for any persons.

Our state representative’s commitment to individual liberty and medical ethics is very important.

Intimidating Americans into taking a vaccine for a virus with a 99.7% survival rate not only is damaging to individual liberty, it also contradicts safe medical practice.

Please enlist other members of Congress to sponsor the Vaccine Bill of Rights today and oppose unconstitutional and scientifically dubious COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

Thank you for your timely consideration of this urgently important matter.

Sincerely,

Henry

Royce Pierce told Newsweek he owes electric company, Griddy, $8,162.73 for his electricity usage this month. He said that’s a massive increase from his usual $387 bill

“It’s mind-blowing. I honestly didn’t believe the price at first,” Pierce said.

He needs to calculate that bill in each day’s cost. Then multiply that dollar amount by the number of days without power and subtract that total from the bill amount.

The result is what he should pay.

https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/news/344014/mob-destroys-monolith-over-illuminati-fears

The mysterious 12ft metal structure, which appeared on a roundabout in the capital city of Kinshasa at the weekend, immediately drew both concern and intrigue, with some locals turning out to take selfies and others expressing concerns over who or what had put it there.

So great was the paranoia surrounding the structure that by Wednesday a large mob had descended on the area. Armed with torches, they lit the monument on fire and started tearing it apart.

Some believed that the structure, which turned out to be comprised of an interior frame covered with thin metal sheets, had been placed there by a secret cabal or organization.

Some were even concerned that satanic worshippers or extraterrestrial visitors were responsible.
“We woke up and saw this metallic triangle,” local resident Serge Ifulu told Reuters. “We were surprised because it is a triangle that we often see in documentaries about freemasons or illuminati.”

Mayor Babylon Gaibene has since sent some of the material away to be scientifically analyzed.

Yeah, whoever took those pictures showed up early. An hour later it was just shelf.

Went to three super stores on the outskirts of S.A. Tx. arriving at the first when it opened at 11 AM. HEB, Walmart and the Commissary. No meat or dairy, not even produce of any sort. Bread aisle the same except the Sara Lee guy showed up and was immediately surrounded and made to surrender his bread cart. That lasted about 3 minutes. Other sections sporadically wiped out depending on what ever was in the space. Two smaller stores the same way. It seems obvious these stores did not get replenished in any meaningful way from the previous days. Worse was the long lines to get into the stores. I’m pretty sure the Safety Nazi’s had some thing to do with it since they kept shutting down the highways at night when trucks normally make their large deliveries because of fabled black ice. I say fabled because sure if you have some melt it will freeze but for the most part the streets are dry. A reduced speed may be in order but to just shut down the highway from all traffic is not a good balance.

My biggest worry though was that my cookies were fully stocked. What in the heck is wrong with my cookies that no one is buying them???

It certainly is! We are certainly being tried in many ways. Those of us who are trusting in the Lord need to stand steadfast as did Job, but also realizing that the Lord is doing many other things. There are so many things I can see it is hard to describe. He is answering prayers, chastising His flock, showing He is “I AM”, blessing us, teaching us, as well as vanquishing evil. There is so much going on it is mind boggling, and humbling. All I’m able to do is thank the Lord, pray for many things, and trust in Him for guidance. Thank you again, and blessings on all.

Linda

Thank you, Grandma, for your wonderful opening. It was very comforting. I’ve just been through a 6 day power outage and finally am back online. I can definitely sympathize with the people of Texas. Ours was caused by freezing rain. A good whack of western Oregon has been out of power and is just now getting back on.

The damage to our little city has been heartbreaking. Thousands of trees came down, and many thousands more limbs. So many beautiful old oak and cherry trees. You can’t drive down a street without seeing limbs everywhere. A bunch of power poles also came down into streets and on top of houses. My power was out because of a pole laying in the middle of the street about 6 blocks away. I kept driving by there to see if it was being fixed. Finally, they started working on it yesterday afternoon. But I know it was like that everywhere. It’s really weird to live in a city and have everything pitch black at night.

I love blue collar men! I had a big fir tree in my front yard come down Friday night (thankfully it didn’t land on anything). This neighbor down the street started at the top of our hill with a chain saw and cut up everyone’s trees and limbs for them. Then the next day, he went out and got a trailer and started loading up all the debris and getting rid of it. I had called several of the companies that clean up downed trees and they were all booked up for weeks. So John was a Godsend. My whole back yard is covered with fir limbs, but I’ll slowly get that cleaned up. I’m just really thankful for all the good neighbors who watched out for each other while this was going on.

I’m totally behind on the news, so that will take me awhile to catch up on. I did hear that the Senate didn’t convict our POTUS. (Lucky for them). It’s great to be back to the Q Tree where sanity always reigns!

Linda

Yes, in a crisis, most normal people don’t worry about politics, they just help each other. My brother got 12 inches of snow in Portland of all places. At least he had his power and could just stay home. A good part of western Oregon was hit. I just finished throwing out most of what was in my refrigerator and freezer. I need to get to the store and restock some of it.

We got over a foot here on the Key Peninsula WA. Tacoma got 10 inches.

Sidney Powell has found the actual results of the Presidential election – Wow!

By Laurie Roth
January 18, 2021

http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/roth/210118

Sidney Powell says people in Germany saw these results before the Dominion machines were seized:  Trump: 410 Electoral College votes, and Joe Biden: 128 Electoral College votes. Trump even flipped the “un-flippable” liberal stronghold of California to Republican.

America and the world have now seen the unbelievable election crimes using the Dominion machines, Italy’s Leonardo satellite, and a criminal cartel throughout the world. In their criminal arrogance, the perpetrators are too stupid to realize that the end is coming swiftly to them, and the world will soon know the details of their crimes. Trump is our president and had the biggest election victory in U.S. history. America and our military must stand with President Trump and hold to account those who have committed treason and massive election crimes.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

“Trump is our president and had the biggest election victory in U.S. history.”

Really?

Have people forgotten 1984 and 1972 that quickly?

duchess01

Do you have the stats for those years, Steve?

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

1984: Reagan, 525, Mondale 13
1972: Nixon, 520, McGovern 17, 1 faithless elector who voted for John Hospers of the brand-new Libertarian party.
There is also:
1936: Roosevelt 520, Landon 8, total 531 (there were 7 less EVs then because DC didn’t get its three until later, and there were only 96 senators back then, that plus 435 reps totals 531. Number of electors always equals number of senators plus number of reps, plus 3 for DC since the 23rd amendment was passed)

And of course 1788 and 1792 were unanimous George Washington victories, 69-0 and 132-0.

ADD: 1820 was 231-0 for James Monroe. Four EVs were not cast at all, three due to the electors dying in the meantime, I don’t know what happened to the other.

Last edited 3 years ago by SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
duchess01

Wow – I have never seen those numbers before – however – considering some 128 Electoral Votes allegedly went to Biden – I am not certain even that number is correct – considering the massive fraud – these are just the numbers they recorded before the ‘steal’ – how much of the vote was manipulated before that point. Some of the blue states were way ahead of the curve – imho – they had their mechanisms in place for years – so there was probably little attention paid to them – just wondering…

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

We will never know what actually happened. This 410 number presumably was the machines corrected for built in re-weighting, but how did it account for the ballot box stuffing with “absentee” ballots?

duchess01

I don’t know – but, I understand that happened AFTER they took this reading – remember – they worked through the night – and for days afterward to cover for the MASSIVE vote for Trump – let us say – this reading was taken around 10:00 PM – they did not even count the absentee ballots or all of the mail-in ballots – imho – that is all with which they had to manipulate – to the point where they brought in enumerable ‘blank ballots’ and ran ballots through the machines numerous times – many of the mail-in ballots were not even mailed – ‘pristine’ condition – and – we really do not know how many votes they ‘flipped’ without a paper trail – they made a real mess.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Perhaps now you understand why I get impatient with people who insist 2016 was a “landslide.” Trump eked that win out and was only 100,000 votes or so from losing it. As I said (replying to myself, so you might not have seen it), every one of the elections between 1928 and 1944 (inclusive) was won by well over 410 electoral votes (one was Hoover, the other four were FDR, with 1936 being the most lopsided).

duchess01

I can understand that, Steve – however – remember the registration rolls were not scrutinized – dead people voted – felons voted – and a tremendous number of illegals voted (more of them here than are reported) – so – no – it was not a ‘landslide’ – it was a miracle – considering the fact that this system was in place at that time as well.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

The best term for it was “upset” because so few expected it.

I really didn’t. Even reading alternate sources I gave him one chance in three.

duchess01

I think he had some pretty savvy campaign strategists – not many candidates went through the careful analysis his campaign performed – that made me hopeful – plus I believed God had a hand in all of it.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

That was the very definition of “leverage.”

He pushed hard in some states he had reason to believe were razor-thin. And probably had the most lopsided popular vote “loss” of any winner as a consequence.

Of course the Dems learned their lesson from this. They made sure to “campaign” hard (by hacking machines) in those same narrow-margin states. Except that instead of convincing voters, they convinced the machines.

duchess01

I still do not believe the ‘popular’ vote was accurate – mainly because they found ~ 3M illegal votes in CA alone – there definitely could have been some in other states – not to mention the fact that they REFUSED to scrutinize the voter rolls – they pulled out all of the stops in 2020 – registered voters from parking lots and post offices – not to mention the number of dead voters – and the voters who voted in duplicate states (primarily in 2016) – what about that stupid rule of registering voters in GA on the day of the election – they keep lousy records – many people were not eligible to vote in GA – and on and on…

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

The popular vote in the end doesn’t matter. But it is now the official popular vote (2016 I mean), and even if it was largely fraudulent (and I agree it was), that just makes the leverage that much cleverer. Give up on CA, it’s a lost cause…earn votes elsewhere where a little bit of effort can tip double-digit EVs.

duchess01

I believe that is what they did – knowing NY and CA were not in play – as for TX – they certainly tried there – but, failed – now with the current weather conditions and lack of power – I am sure they will never side with those idiots.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

That depends greatly on who manages to convince the people there is to blame.

I read one person, who I have fairly high regard for, claiming more green power would have helped Texas. (WRONG!!!) But even non-green power had issues! About the only thing that wouldn’t have been affected by the cold was solar…and snow covered those panels. That’s easy to fix (a broom and a masochist willing to go out and sweep them off). Frozen water lines isn’t, not on the spot it’s not.

duchess01

When, in the history of weather in Texas, have they had to deal with that all at once.

Tell me – don’t the solar panels and wind machines depend upon electric to power them – change angular positions – keep the running?

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

The wind machines, as I understand, pivot, just like a weather vane.

Solar *can* be set up to track the sun, or not. A lot of installations don’t, they simply pick the best one angle and deal with the loss of efficiency by installing more solar panels. It’s sometimes actually cheaper that way. But even the ones that turn, could certainly use the power the panels themselves generate (it’s not much to turn the panels). It’d only be a tiny fraction of what the panels generate to work a motor that pivots 180 degrees in twelve hours (then back again right after sunset).

duchess01

Hmmm…I just never thought of them as self-sufficient – if one puts a panel on the house – it is immovable – however – was not sure how they managed them on the farms – and why they have to install so many power stations near them – it is not like they are transferring power – is it?

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

A lot of people get the panels and still tie to the grid. The power company sells them power when the panels aren’t delivering (at night), and the people sell power TO the electric company when the panels are running. They’re basically using the grid as their storage battery (and this is expensive for the power company, by the way). Other places are disconnected from the grid and store energy in batteries. Either way, with solar, you have to take DC and convert it to AC to power your house. That’s a wasteful process. Batteries themselves suck; they’re expensive, they go bad, and they too waste energy. Still, it can sometimes be cheaper to be off the grid than on it in rural settings where the power company wants to charge 20,000 to hook you up when you build a house.

duchess01

Oh, my – then there is a way to connect to the power company – just not in the way I envisioned – that is highway robbery – hardly worth the trouble – if you ask me – I want no part of that deal – Nope!!!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

What I meant was, it’s expensive for the power company to set themselves up to be able to buy power from what is normally the “load” (i.e., you and me) not that they charge a lot. Though they do have to pass those costs on to everyone.

The $20,000 setup fee is if they have to run a mile of telephone poles out to some place that doesn’t have power but wants it. That’s not a ridiculous amount to charge for the materials and labor, honestly. I had to pay about $3,000 for them to run about 1000 feet of underground cable, and sign away my right to be reimbursed for some of it if someone ever tapped in halfway along it. (That was a no brainer, those thousand feet are all on my property and my neighbor already has his power, so it would never happen.)

RF121

Solar panels lose efficiency when it is too cold or too hot. Just like wind power, too much wind prevents them from running just like too little.

Fossil fuel power did ramp up above usual supply but they just do not have enough capacity. Plus with the fuel supply outages that happened due to the extreme weather they got in trouble.

Base load power must come from nuke, natural gas or coal. Then you can run all your green energy that you have and throttle the base load up and down as the green energy comes and goes.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Reasonably accurate summation…but there’s more. Apparently water supply lines froze, and water is turned to steam and used to drive the generators, except (maybe) in natural gas plants. Without water, you have to shut down.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

You could, theoretically, win a presidential election against ONE opponent with less than 25% of the popular vote, by just barely winning 270 EVs worth of states, and getting zero votes anywhere else.

If those states have lower turnout than the others you can even win with less than that.

duchess01

True – however – that is a risk one might not want to take considering what was at stake – most people had no idea what was at stake – they voted a certain way all of their lives – and thought that was all that mattered – what they did not realize was they were not voting for the ‘same’ party – the party had drifted so far left – it was unrecognizable – this did not happen overnight – it happened over years of programming.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Oh, there’s no way I’d actually WANT to try to do that. It’s much, much more unlikely than, say, having 100,000 ballots show up all for Biden!

duchess01

* Sigh * – What a mess!!! Election Integrity will not be easy. Every time I see a picture of those two – I want to hurl – I am not surprised the Turtle Turned on Trump – he is knee-deep in China – and the others are up to their necks in corruption – I wish we could just send in the Military and haul them all out of there in cuffs!!!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I share the sentiment.

We can no longer trust the process. Well, we couldn’t really, before, but now a large percentage of the population knows it.

Once that many people start thinking of the government as illegitimate, it’s in deep doodoo and so is everyone under it. They’ve lost what China (yes, I know, but that doesn’t make this wrong) calls the “Mandate of Heaven” and that usually precedes civil war and nasty times.

duchess01

I read somewhere 67% of Congress could be removed – where they got that number – I have no idea – but, I do not doubt – that is how many of them are corrupt.

That does not take into account those who are working for our enemy at the state and local levels.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

but, I do not doubt – that is how many of them are corrupt.

Now there is where you are totally wrong!!!!

It’s more like 97%. 😀

duchess01

Not my number, Steve – what I read – somebody else gave that number.

There are many new additions to congress this year in particular – so it could be less than 97%…

Deplorable Patriot

I tend to agree. The 400 figure may well be low. BUT, to beat out Reagan in 1984, POTUS would have to take Illinois, New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey let alone Oregon and Washington. Not sure those were in the cards. Well, not all of them, anyway.

duchess01

Rumor has it – there was more there than meets the eye – not saying he took those states – just wondering how much of it was underreported – or just plain fraud – the truth is – the majority of the country DID NOT want HRC – so how much of what she allegedly earned – was through fraud – not sure if they have that info or not.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

We had a really odd situation in 1872. One of the major parties got NO EVs. Because their candidate, Horace Greeley, died between election day and the day the electors cast their ballots. His electors voted for four different other people instead.

duchess01

That is definitely a unique situation…

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Just in case you think 2016 or 2020 was an unprecedented clusterf*ck.

Though 2020 seems to have had the most blatant fraud ever.

duchess01

I think fraud has always been a part of the process – I think ‘they’ knew what the bad guys were going to do in 2020 based upon data compiled from both the 2016 and 2018 elections – yes – it was blatant – but, mostly because they had too much ground to cover – they stupidly overcompensated for the huge discrepancy/gap in votes.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

It aint stupid if it works.

And it worked.

duchess01

True – that – unfortunately – is the thought process.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

And also…the elections of 1928, 1932, 1940, and 1944 were all won (by Hoover in the first case, FDR in the others) were all won with more than 410 EVs.

Thanks, Cooth!!! I have never seen those numbers before.

para59r

While SP mentions much about electoral votes in this statement, I’m fairly sure she’s talking about the popular vote count in the last paragraph. Only way it makes sense and is true.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Without exhaustively going through the Wiki pages on election results again, I can’t check that, but again, I doubt it.

para59r

Over 81 million votes cast in 2020 election(SP would dispute in that more votes cast both in the election and for Trump). Obama 2008 election was almost 70 million votes cast (less in 2012 and Trumps 2016 election. Numbers were 69, 65, 62, 81 million) These are the things that I believe she is speaking about in the last paragraph but it’s not made plain so can’t say for sure.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_presidential_elections_by_popular_vote_margin

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

You can’t compare absolute number of votes by the victor, because our population is increasing. It’s unfair to, say, Nixon, to compare his 1972 vote count (47 million) to Obola’s (69.5 million) in 2008, for instance. Nixon won with 60% of the popular vote (a true thumping) where Obola only got 52%.

In assessing the popular vote, I’d want to see percentages.

para59r

While all these current numbers are cloven from falsehoods their usefulness seems rather tarnished. Tarnished so much that even the numbers that came before 2020 become suspect as well.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

At that point, under those presumptions, you can’t compare anything to anything and a meaningful comparison is impossible.

TheseTruths

Re: the biggest election victory, I thinik PDJT had more votes than any previous candidate, once you get the correct tallies.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

And there are more people in the US, too, so that’s not really a good metric.

Some combination of turnout percentage and percentage of the vote would make more sense; that would give you a sense of the percentage of people who actually support him enough to bother to vote.

TheseTruths

Yes. I think there are more leftists/socialist now too, so that is a factor, as is the in-your-face fraud this time.

I’m not making comparisons, except that I like the idea that PDJT got more actual votes than any candidate in history. (At least, I think that happened.) Ergo, many, many people support MAGA, while the Left tries to deceive us into thinking the opposite and steals the power.

All will be disclosed – Nothing will be hidden – Stand fast

By Laurie Roth

Luke 8:17 – “For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the light.” The Holy Bible

America has seen evidence of the international, illegal coup that stole the election from Donald Trump. Brave attorney Sydney Powell has dug deep and exposed fraud and the illegal votes on many levels. I shared a few weeks ago her findings of the actual Electoral College votes. Trump had won in a landslide and Biden didn’t even get close. Trump – 410 and Biden 128.

Though election criminals and Deep State operatives thought they had hidden the truth, it came out in the open. What has additionally been coming out is how the Courts, House, Senate, Vice President and even Supreme Court have willfully looked the other way and allowed this illegal coup to take place.

Now, more criminals are coming into the light, which begs the question. What can we do now? Is it all over and we must lower our heads in defeat? Is our only option to surrender to Communist China and their bought and paid for man in the White House?

What we are seeing – History repeats itself

The Temporary Collapse Of Texas Is Foreshadowing The Total Collapse Of The United States
February 18, 2021 by Michael Snyder

http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/the-temporary-collapse-of-texas-is-foreshadowing-the-total-collapse-of-the-united-states/

We are getting a very short preview of what will eventually happen to the United States as a whole. America’s infrastructure is aging and crumbling. Our power grids were never intended to support so many people, our water systems are a complete joke, and it has become utterly apparent that we would be completely lost if a major long-term national emergency ever struck. Texas has immense wealth and vast energy resources, but now it is being called a “failed state”. If it can’t even handle a few days of cold weather, what is the rest of America going to look like when things really start to get chaotic in this country?

At this point, it has become clear that the power grid in Texas is in far worse shape than anyone ever imagined. When extremely cold weather hit the state, demand for energy surged dramatically. At the same time, about half of the wind turbines that Texas relies upon froze, and the rest of the system simply could not handle the massive increase in demand.

Oh good grief.

I’m going to DIE from all the hyperbole.

There are a few interesting data points but, dang, get a grip on yourselves you nuts.

As I’ve already pointed out, the problems with the Texas power grid are known and have been known for years. Despite its problems it does have a history of being an incredibly reliable grid and I wouldn’t trade it for CONED, ever.

Deplorable Patriot

I wouldn’t go that far, but I was just talking to my sister about you all in Texas. How can we in other parts of the nation help rectify the electricity issues?

I mean, here, we’ve had outages for multiple days mostly due to ice and downed trees, but not the whole friggin’ state.

Or is this just a matter of leaning on the state people, and outing Warren Buffett as a power profitteer.

BTW, this time around, we’ve been okay here. But, 14 years ago, not so much. We were out for two days with a dog who was dying, and the chimney needs a liner, so we couldn’t make a fire.

It was just a mess. This is why we ALWAYS now have a supply of camp lanterns if nothing else.

singingsoul1

I just want our TX friends here to know that I am praying for you each time my radiators hum, or I turn on water . I pray with heart and mind that you all go back to normal get warm have water and food.

michaelh

Honestly, the U.S. has neglected infrastructure across the board.
comment image

Remember Katrina? Politicians diverting federal levee money. Same kind of hand-wringing then too.

The Northeast grid is in dire shape.

Cuomo is blocking a pipeline for heating oil from reaching New England.

Buffet is blocking Keystone XL.

No new refineries in 50 years.

No 3rd or 4th gen nuclear power plants.

DFW used to be a beautiful airport.

California used to have the finest water management infrastructure in the world.

Heck, California used to have enough electricity until someone started raiding PG&E for a piggy-bank.

Check out the condition of the waterway infrastructure along the Mississippi.

I have friends in USACE – they told me stories of what was going to happen in Houston if they had a major hurricane. That was before Harvey.

Forty to fifty years of leftism takes a toll on a nation.

The Khmer civilization failed because they did not maintain their reservoir infrastructure. It happened in less than two generations as their water system filled with silt.

A lot of what is happening in Texas right now is planned disaster from Zero. It’s just that now they’re getting around to exploiting it.

We need a major infrastructure work.

Gates, Buffet, Zuck, Cook, Jeff, Jack, George should pay for it.

Until the corruption is outed, failing infrastructure creates politically useful crises to exploit. Like Flint, MI.

The left NEVER wants to fix problems. They only create problems to exploit, steal from people, and break things. That’s all they know how to do. That’s all they can do.

Some people’s answer is to get “off grid” – if you can be self-reliant that can take care of a lot by itself. But not everyone can do that – not everyone is a strong smart mechanically abled man who can fix anything themselves when it breaks. So I don’t think that’s a 100% realistic path. So in short individuals can be prepared – something that most in the South, Midwest, and along the East Coast already know how to do.

The power problem in Texas is two-fold. We need to get control of the State Legislature, which the RINO-Dems have locked in. This has been a multi-decade effort and we’re still not there. Every single good bill DIES in committee. Every single one. Every last one. Committee is where good bills go to DIE. The Dems control the calendars and they kill things by not putting it on the calendar. So far this legislative session, the Texas Legislature has met for a total of FOUR HOURS.

The second is ERCOT mismanagement – tell the Governor, Legislators, and Attorney General to address it. Abbott has more control here than he lets on because HE appoints people to the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) which oversees ERCOT. They need to require ERCOT officials to be residents – the idea that it is just a good old boys club is absurd and against the original intent. Ken Paxton is already taking action against ERCOT. I’m inclined to watch what happens, but we also need to keep the pressure on. Lives have been lost due over this, not to mention BILLION$ in damage and lost productivity.

I think the Texas Railroad Commission (oversees oil and gas) has a lot of responsibility too and is avoiding accountability.

Remember – it’s not just the Grid. The Gas system is also under severe strain and shortages. Atmos Energy needs to give some accounting too.

More sunlight is definitely a good thing. I mean, we have problems with the Texas Pharmacy Board (HCQ) to the 100% corruption Texas Association of Business. Connecting with Empower Texans / Texas Scorecard and Michael Quinn Sullivan is critical – he’s the #1 political watchdog in Texas. Frankly, we need to clone MQS and send him to all 57 states.

But the big problem is an out of control unaccountable EPA that is governing far beyond their legislative mandate. That’s going to require major public policy shifts.

* Need executive reign in of EPA, like we saw during the first Trump administration
* Legal battles where lawyers battle it out. Problem w/ this is the EPA is out of control and has deep pockets – average Americans don’t have the money to fight and the EPA know they can bully anyone
* Congress to their job on oversight or reform. No one takes oversight seriously when congressional investigations mean NOTHING.

We also have to eliminate green energy subsidies – not likely to happen with Congress in its current state. But certainly the executive has some power to manage them more effectively.

I don’t know if I’ve answered your question but there’s a lot of ice cold anger about what’s happening and getting connected with the grassroots processes are going to be key going forward on everything from election integrity to government corruption to making Texas resilient to Biden’s dark winter.

People I know in Harlingen – practically in Mexico it’s so far south – haven’t seen cold like this in decades. It almost never freezes and ices down there. Heck, if they have a single good rain storm it floods – and everyone’s roofs start leaking b/c it happens so rarely. Last July the flooding was severe and I have pictures as it got up to one family’s doorstep. They were one of the lucky ones. Lots of people left the valley and took shelter in Corpus Christi. Most of the people down there are in poverty – but they knew all the oil business was good for them and that’s why there was a 55 point swing for Trump. The valley needs industry badly. The best jobs to have down there are teaching and law enforcement, which should tell you something.

The left wants us to be second class citizens, just as we were before Christ walked on this earth and gave us women a voice. Read the Gospels. Christ did not put down women and, in fact, gave them important work to do. The left wants us to just be…well, not the accomplished individuals so many lay religious women were in the Middle Ages, and professionals outside of that.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

There are passages in the New Testament that imply women should (to paraphrase) shut up in Church and do nothing to lead, but it’s pretty clear from some of Paul’s letters that he expected women to take a much more active role.

Deplorable Patriot

Depends on the translation. “Subjected to” from the Douay-Rheims is NOT the same as subordinate as the more recent translations, including the error riddled King James, claim.

Frankly, Catholic and Eastern and Greek Orthodox women are nowhere near as “subservient” or “subordinate” as those who are not are.

My mother’s mother – daily Mass goer and Rosary warrior – wasn’t “sub” anything. She was known in the family as “Sarge.”

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Now I have to look up what I was thinking of, which was different. (You seem to be thinking of women vis-a-vis their spouses; I was talking about their role in the church.) 1 Timothy 4 seems to be a lot of it. Now I just got through saying Paul expected women to take an active role, and 1 Timothy is supposedly written by Paul…but most scholars who aren’t fundamentalists don’t believe it actually was. Too many differences in diction, style…and too many anachronisms, it was written later.

Gudthots

Some Bible teachers propose that Paul’s letter to the Corinthians included quotes from a letter they sent to him and that the part about being silent was a quote that he responds to.

I remember some big-ass special tax/bond issue passed in Colorado about 20 years ago…two billion dollars. Someone was going to try to sue in the State supreme court to overturn it on procedural grounds. I told a lawyer friend of mine there was no way they’d succeed. even though they had a good case. No way the justices won’t be bribed or coerced when that kind of money is at stake.

She said that was cynical, and seemed stunned (as did everyone else in the discussion group) when I actually said, “yes it is.” People were surprised that I’d own up to being a cynic when it came to the legal system.

The suit went nowhere. And recent events have done nothing to convince me the judiciary isn’t corrupt, stem to stern.

para59r

For one thing, they need not fear a violent mob attacking the Supreme Court now. I wish that would help with their deliberations but somehow I doubt that.

Part of the problem with these new Justices is they actually seem to believe in Climate Change and COVID. Fix that and maybe (if they are just not plain old corrupt) we’ll see good decisions.

Six Capitol Police Officers Suspended Without Pay As Feds Investigate Roles In Jan 6 Breach

February 19, 2021

https://bit.ly/3qG7hpR

Six Capitol police officers have been suspended without pay and are currently under investigation for alleged conduct during the Jan. 6 riot, according to Axios.

According to a spokesperson, the suspensions and investigations are related to a directive by acting Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman to reprimand officers who did not properly respond to the riots. Pittman told Congress past month that the Capitol police “failed to meet its own high standards” during the incident and did not take the necessary steps to prepare for the “strong potential for violence.”

Customs and Border Protection experienced a massive uptick – nearly 100 percent – of meat contraband imported to the U.S. from China.

“In calendar year 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of shipments containing prohibited pork, chicken, beef and duck products arriving from China intercepted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agriculture specialists in Los Angeles, nearly doubled compared with the previous year,” CBP notes.

In Los Angeles alone, from January 1st to December 31st 2020, CBP issued 1,049 Emergency Action Notifications (EAN) compared to 527 in 2019, constituting a 99 percent increase. EANs are used in response to meat contraband attempting to breach the U.S. and require either destruction or re-exportation.

Bill Gates Bankrolling Educational Organization That Says Math is Racist
Pathway group says minorities getting answers wrong is because of “white supremacy.”
19 February, 2021 Paul Joseph Watson

https://summit.news/2021/02/19/bill-gates-bankrolling-educational-organization-that-says-math-is-racist/

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is bankrolling an activist educational group that believes math is racist and that arriving at an objective answer is an example of “white supremacy.”

Yes, really.

A conglomerate of 25 educational organizations called A Pathway to Equitable Math Instruction asserts that asking students to find the correct answer is an “inherently racist practice.”

The organization’s website lists the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as its only donor.

“In fact, over the past decade, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has awarded over of $140 million to a variety of groups associated with Pathway. Their “antiracist resources” are at the epicenter of a new training course for teachers offered by the Oregon Department of Education throughout the state,” reports National File.

“Three of the most prominent organizations receiving grant money from the Gates’ are The Education Trust, Teach Plus, and WestEd, all non-profit 501c organizations.”

. . . MORE . . .

duchess01

Who would want ‘MORE’, Michael? Is this just another organization set up to facilitate money laundering – moving money from one organization to another – accomplishing nothing ‘more’ than to annoy and control the slaves?

These two have nothing better to do than to concoct these obnoxious initiatives.

LOL fair point – I just post that to say there is more content for anyone looking for details.

An objective answer is an answer that stays the same no matter how many times the question is being asked.

Wait until the black black braintrust figures out that Bill and the others really are lining their kids up on a slippery slope toward illiteracy. They will have no more understanding in 8th grade than they did in 1st.

gil00

Exactly. I see them in the industry of protest, shouting and screaming and acting like rioting animals. All the while only select people attached to the groups are being educated.

mollypitcher5

Right?!
It’s a set up for personal failure but also on a societal level. If the grocery store sign says 10 for a $1.00 and they can’t process that and keep demanding that 11 is the correct # @ .10 a piece………………..can you say…throat punch, knock down etc etc

gil00

I know. Just void of developing their intellect and the system is forcing others to quit or adhere.
I think independent study will birth many new intellectually significant people, but the transition, esp with the wrong people in the right positions, is a dangerous time.

Someone thinks employers won’t see “merit” in women and minorities, so they have to force people to hire them. Identity politics is a way to keep dividing people and to make things run inefficiently. It rolls out the red carpet for corruption, too.

mollypitcher5

LOL..yes! They cannot be criticized or instructed on anything and know it would take act of congress to fire them and we know they aren’t going to do that.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

scott467

“We must defeat this or die trying.”

____________

😂🤣😂

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Problem: “Corrections” to management “imbalances” are ABUSED to install politics instead of merit – and the communists KNOW IT.

Reason: Intelligence is increasingly unable to see intelligence as it differs from itself, so when tasked to do so, it defaults to simplistic task expectations – and in the case of political taskmasters, the metric of intelligence becomes – falsely – fluency in the task narrative.

Translation: In the absence of an ability to see intelligence in women or minorities, the ability to see conformance with the political narrative will be substituted.

Solution: If you want to ACTUALLY hire meritorious women and minorities, hire more culturally fluent meritocrats to find them, NOT politically fluent activists.

michaelh

Yeah it’s all about the commies war on meritocracy. We can’t lose site of the fact they want merit based systems including free markets destroyed. Everything is political. Anything based on Merit must be CRUSHED according to them.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Yup. The leftists SABOTAGE merit by warring on conservative women and minorities, and excluding THEM from power FIRST.

Lin Wood on Telegram re: SCOTUS today. I don’t know if it’s accurate that we have to wait until Thursday to hear anything. Everything below is from his Telegram.
https://t.me/s/linwoodspeakstruth

Lin Wood
Many are watching and waiting on the U.S. Supreme today. In its conference, the Court will decide whether the cases from GA, Michigan, and Pennsylvania will proceed.

If the Court says NO, we will know the majority of the Court is corrupt. The cases are based on established, black letter law. The elections in those states were illegal and unconstitutional. They changed the election rules without approval of the state legislatures.

If the Court decides the cases will proceed, we will not know for sure if a majority of the Court is corrupt until final decisions are issued which could take months. Remember the decision in Obamacare?

Maybe the Court will allow the cases to proceed and buy time before the corrupt justices are exposed.

If the majority in the Court is not corrupt, a ruling should be issued today in Pennsylvania case. GA and Michigan should have cert granted with a reversal and remand to follow law in Pennsylvania case.

We are going to learn a great deal about the majority of our Supreme Court justices today whatever the rulings may be.

Keep praying that justice is done today.

God bless you. – Lin

__________

No word from SCOTUS yet on whether they will allow the election cases to proceed.

The cases were set for conference today and while I claim no firsthand knowledge of how the Court operates, I assume the Justices confer together in private.

Perhaps we will learn the decisions on Monday on whether the writs of certiorari will be granted. If so, the cases can proceed.

A grant of certiorari requires that a minimum of 4 Justices vote in favor of granting the review.

Hope that helps.

__________

Thanks for sharing the notice below, Holly. My educated guess form this notice is that ORDERS granting or denying certiorari review will be issued Monday. OPINIONS in certain cases will be issued next Thursday.

SCOTUS has very little transparency in how it functions. In my opinion, ALL courts should be considerably more transparent. I believe public confidence in the judiciary would increase as transparency increases.

After all, We The People pay their salaries and let them wear fancy black robes to convey in part that Justices are important,

Are they that special and important? Yes and no. We need referees to honestly enforce the rules but the game belongs to the players, not the referees.

Judges and Justices are no better than any one of us. They are people too. We just let them be referees.

Maybe the answer is to establish courts that truly answer to We The People. Perhaps a network of “Courts of the People” where disagreements can quickly and fairly resolved without the expense and delay that results from lawyers being involved.

Then we could enact my “Modified Shakespearean” rule. We could get rid of 95% of the lawyers. Wow. Wouldn’t that make our country less litigious and more civil to each other?

Maybe its my advocacy for serious reforms in the legal profession that has the State Bar of Georgia up in arms against me?!?

Uh oh, fewer lawyers would reduce the Bar’s revenue from license fees. etc.

Lawyers Club of Atlanta would also have fewer members and could not serve as much free booze and fancy foods at its annual “Holiday” party . . .

Just sayin’ . . .

This is what I’ve been wondering, and IMO is the meat of the issue. Lin Wood thinks the decisions should look like this:

Right. This looks like the Left’s big chance to “put the election to rest.” If SCOTUS rules against us, that will be the talking point and excuse for continuing to label us insurrectionists and conspiracy kooks. I don’t know where we would go from there, but we have to do something.

Putting it to rest is the LAST thing it would do, if the SJW’s on the (not)Supreme Court ignore the most massive election fraud in American history.

It will only turn the flame up HIGHER, which is why I hope they do it.

So, admittedly I’m not super comfortable w/ “negative” emotions & have habitually suppressed them, often as a survival mechanism to get through some very intense seasons in my life…so I am continually surprised at how many times I’ve been moved to tears since Kathryn Limbaugh opened Rush’s Wednesday show with news of his death.

I guess this is just a season of mourning & it will take whatever course it must as we adjust to a “new normal”. It seems that vulnerability to sorrows is more amped up as we are biding time watching the apparent Communist takeover & destruction of our beloved land, not knowing if this is a nightmare from which we’ll awaken when the “white hats” finally swoop in, or if we will have a front row seat to the end of days as biblical prophecies are fulfilled & foretold horrifying events play out around us, or if this is all an overblown reaction to the inevitable “slouching toward socialism” that the elites have been perpetrating on fly-over country for generations…

So no matter what is Really happening, not holding back the tears seems a relatively healthy response when the sorrows become directly impactful. So I’m going to share a few music videos that tap into that painful place with artistry & outlet, so we can partake of the cleansing of the soul that can accompany unimpeded grief.

Admittedly this would be a better fit for the “Irish Wake” page but today’s a new day & as usual I’m out of step with other’s timetables 😉

This first song I recently re-heard on the ClassicChristian247.com internet radio station.

I forgot which was we’re supposed to use for a video so hopefully it will play here…

Here are the lyrics from the youtube site too

Guardian “See You in Heaven”

LYRIC:
it’s hard to say goodbye, my friend,
but this waiting can’t last forever;
sooner or later the sun must set
ending this time together.
i wish that i had one more chance
to spend another day with you,
and even though i know i can
i’ll see you in heaven.

the only thing that hurts more than losing you
are all of the years of living without you.
i wanna run back to you
and show you the life i’ve lived without you,
’cause living without you is the only thing that hurts
more than you.

i see a picture of a little child,
standing alone, wondering where you are.
i can’t believe how this child has grown,
living this life, sometimes so alone.
wishing i had one more chance
to have you hold me once again,
now even though i know you can
you’ll hold me in heaven.

i’ve let so many years of life go by
thinking it’s all worked out.
now i realize i do now
to say that it’s over and let you go for now.
still, i wish that i had one more chance
to say i love you one more time,
and even though i know i can
i’ll say it in heaven.

i’ll see you in heaven . . .

This song is the only thing keeping my life together. I lost both my parents, my wife and my son 3 years ago in an accident. I listen to this song twice a day, morning and evening and cry my damn eyes out. Its the only thing that gives me strength and power to still raise my daughter. Not a day goes by without i still think of all of you that i lost, not even an hour. I cant remember the last time i dident cry myself to sleep. My daughter always ask me why i cry and i dont know what to tell her. I dont know if its sad or good that she was to young to know you, in some selfish way i think it might be. But all the love she’s missing out on is unfathomable.

Im still here, to the end for my daughter. For my family, a million miles away.. i will see you again when im just an empire of dirt.

Yes, agreed…& I’m not even really much of a Cash fan. I can imagine Rush, having had such a public life for so many years, feeling like so many of his accomplishments were a pile of dirt compared to what/who would be experienced in glory!

Beautiful song. She was great. Gone too soon

Valerie Curren

Thank you that was incredibly beautiful, not a song I’d ever heard before. It came across to me as if she were praising or singing a prayer & it’s so profound that that song is her last recording in this life.

I’d wanted to share this song by Whitney also, which I love

What an iconic voice & such a haunting song from beyond the grave…

Valerie Curren

I first heard this version of this song by someone sharing the video at CTH. I’ve listened a number of times & even cried alongside my mom when watching this video on her laptop at my parents’ cottage in Northern Michigan.

The artist died young, from cancer, I believe, & that understanding of her no longer being with us lends an even more haunting aspect to this song. As she sings it I often get the impression of people who have long loved each other (spouses in my mind) where their life-experiences unfold at different rates & one leaves the other behind as they move on to glory.

This is truly great art & incredibly timeless…

This is one to listen to till the end. Robert David Steele, IMO, needs to watch the pride a bit, and his knowledge of Catholicism and the Jesuits is more of the conspiracy BS variety than reality (the Jesuits are a religious order, and therefore the members are not married, are all men, and have no women counterparts – and if Antonin Scalia was a pedophile protector of whatever, why have him assassinated).

However, there are several data points here worth fishing out of the overall interview.
