DEAR KAG: 2021-03-12

It’s Fight Like a Flynn Friday at Wolf’s Pub. Welcome back! I think you would agree there is freedom, and then there is FREEEEDOMMM!

What does it mean to be truly free? Can the body be imprisoned but the mind free? How does one free the mind? Are there things worse than death? Is freedom worth dying for? How do we learn freedom?

I believe the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights attempted (and mainly succeeded) in enumerating how a self-governed nation would operate. Maximum freedom of religion, speech, self-defense, assembly, and then freedom FROM unlawful search and seizure and so on.

General Flynn had a compelling op-ed in the Western Journal a couple days ago that is worth taking the time to read and ponder. This stood out to me:

“Though the battle for the soul of America is fierce before us, we cannot afford to look away in hopes of finding retreat. There will be none.”

Speaking of the soul…for your listening pleasure, here is Loreena McKinnett singing “The Dark Night of the Soul”, a poem by St. John of the Cross, a 16th century Spanish mystic. It speaks to the time preceding the union of the soul with God, when the darkness within drives the soul to leave earthly things and seek God. I would say union with God is true freedom.

Lyrics:

Upon a darkened night
the flame of love was burning in my breast
And by a lantern bright
I fled my house while all in quiet rest

Shrouded by the night
And by the secret stair I quickly fled
The veil concealed my eyes
while all within lay quiet as the dead

Chorus:
Oh night thou was my guide
of night more loving than the rising sun
Oh night that joined the lover
to the beloved one
transforming each of them into the other

Upon that misty night
in secrecy, beyond such mortal sight
Without a guide or light
than that which burned so deeply in my heart
That fire t’was led me on
and shone more bright than of the midday sun
To where he waited still
it was a place where no one else could come

(Chorus)

Within my pounding heart
which kept itself entirely for him
He fell into his sleep
beneath the cedars all my love I gave
From o’er the fortress walls
the wind would brush his hair against his brow
And with its smoothest hand
caressed my every sense it would allow

(Chorus)

I lost myself to him
and laid my face upon my lover’s breast
And care and grief grew dim
as in the morning’s mist became the light
There they dimmed amongst the lilies fair
there they dimmed amongst the lilies fair
there they dimmed amongst the lilies fair

In honor of the Spanish mystic, our special tonight is the Spanish Tempranillo wine, a bold tasting and vibrant grape that may have been brought to Spanish shores by the Phoenicians thousands of years ago.

You can learn more here with the added bonus list of 40 of the top-rated Tempranillo wines from Spain. Unfortunately, a good Tempranillo can be hard to find. The ones in the local grocery store are usually the lower end of quality, with bitingly sharp tannins and sometimes murky overtones.

That said, if you can find a good Spanish Tempranillo wine, it will often be a reserva (aka more expensive). We happen to have all 40 of the top-rated wines on hand tonight (wink, wink), so feel free to browse through the list and order a bottle for your table.

HOUSE RULES

Before we get back to Fight like a Flynn Friday, let’s review the rules. Make nice. Easier said than done in these trying times but give it your best shot. In case you feel like getting ugly, there’s the Utree. The Utree has more than one purpose, too. It is also a rendezvous place in case something happens to this site. Thanks Coothie, for reminding us that we have another place to gather in the event we can’t gather here.

Now, back to Gen. Flynn’s op-ed in the Western Journal. He describes how our nation was founded on faith in God as the bedrock of our freedoms.

“Faith and freedom can never be separated

from one another.”

General Michael Flynn

And then he begins to urge us to take in hand and read again our founding documents and the writings of the Founding Fathers.

“Anyone can learn more about our nation’s founding. Start simple. When was the last time you read the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence?

We tend to forget just how easy it is to read the Constitution from cover to cover. President Obama’s Affordable Care Act was more than 314,000 words long, but the document that frames our entire system of government is only 4,500 words in length. The average American can read it in half an hour.

Of course, if we really want to get into the mindset of our Founding Fathers, we must dig deeper. “The Federalist Papers,” de Tocqueville’s “Democracy in America,” Paine’s “Common Sense” and the writings of John Locke are all well worth the read.”

He goes on:

“There is a reason why the forces of darkness are trying so hard to eradicate the family as we know it. They see how powerful the bond of family can be, so they want to redefine it, water it down and replace it with a dependency on the state. We cannot allow them to destroy the family. As long as marriages and families are strong, freedom will always have a fighting chance. Never concede to those who say they know how to raise your children better than you do. God entrusted the care of children to parents, not to governments.”

General Flynn mentions the importance of friendship and the will to fight against the forces arrayed against America. He asks us:

“Will you join the fight?

For the sake of our children and grandchildren, I pray you will.”

Tragically, most of our children have not learned what it means to be free and the cost of it, and the history of it. They’ve been fed a load of crap in our schools for several generations now. Let’s face it, we have been allowing the enemies of freedom to indoctrinate our children for decades.

I found this video of five libertarians (as near as I can tell) enjoying a wide-ranging discussion about educational alternatives. It’s an hour and a half, but it discusses so many issues, mentions so many good resources, and addresses so many of the facets of educating one’s own children and grandchildren, that I urge you to give it a listen.

https://lbry.tv/@UnlooseGoose:9/episode-6-educational-alternatives:b

In a 2017 article at the Federalist, Mike Sabo wrote:

“But if recent findings are any indication, Americans’ acquaintance with the founders’ principles and practices seems to be at a nadir. According to a report of the American Council of Trustees and Alumni, a majority of college graduates can’t recall “the substance of the First Amendment, or the origin of the separation of powers.” Perhaps most alarmingly, “nearly 10% say that Judith Sheindlin—‘Judge Judy’—is on the Supreme Court.” A big part of the problem seems to stem from the fact that of the 1,100 “liberal arts colleges and universities” surveyed, just “18%” require students to take a course on American history or government before graduation.”

WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF EXCUSES

The folks in the video above talk about a plethora of educational options for getting your kids out of the government schools. We talk freedom, but the government schools (yours included) have been teaching servitude, and our children have been learning to LOVE IT.

At the end of the book by Viktor E. Frankl, “Man’s Search for Meaning”, Sigmund Freud is quoted. Freud basically believed that the primal urge of hunger would bring uniformity to a diverse group of people. Frankl writes:

“Sigmund Freud once asserted, ‘Let one attempt to expose a number of the most diverse people uniformly to hunger. With the increase of the imperative urge of hunger all individual differences will blur, and in their stead will appear the uniform expression of the one unstilled urge.’ Thank heaven, Sigmund Freud was spared knowing the concentration camps from the inside. His subjects lay on a couch designed in the plush style of Victorian culture, not in the filth of Auschwitz. There, the “individual differences” did not blur but, on the contrary, people became more different; people unmasked themselves, both the swine and the saints. And today you need no longer hesitate to use the word “saints”: think of Father Maximillian Kolbe who was starved and finally murdered by an injection of carbolic acid at Auschwitz and who in 1983 was canonized.

You may be prone to blame me for invoking examples that are the exceptions to the rule. ‘Sed omnia praeclara tam difficilia quam rara sunt’ (but everything great is just as difficult to realize as it is rare to find) reads the last sentence of the Ethics of Spinoza. You may of course ask whether we really need to refer to ‘saints.’ Wouldn’t it suffice just to refer to decent people? It is true that they form a minority. More than that, they will always remain a minority. And yet I see therein the very challenge to join the minority. For the world is in a bad state, but everything will become still worse unless each of us does his best.

So, let us be alert—alert in a two-fold sense:

Since Auschwitz we know what man is capable of.

And since Hiroshima we know what is at stake.” (My bolding above)

As we now face a global enemy that seeks to deprive us of every one of our God-given freedoms, of even mental autonomy through the great evil of transhumanism; that seeks to control our movements, our medical decisions, our financial and political decisions, we have no choice but to join the fight with Gen. Flynn.

The Cult of Globalism believes

REASON IS TREASON

Let us fight for our freedom and for our children’s freedom by freeing their minds of the poison of globalism, socialism, progressive theories, and communism. The ruling elites are eaten up with a soul sickness that will not hesitate to reach beyond the depths of the Holocaust.

WE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE CAPABLE OF. We have seen them kill off thousands of vulnerable seniors and others through the CCP virus. We know of the trafficking of children and women, of the vaccine injuries inflicted thoughtlessly on African children by psychopaths like Bill Gates. THEY WON’T STOP. The only way to stop them is for the United States of America to remain FREE. The battle must be engaged. Search your soul and find where God will take you in this battle. And then get to it. Politics, education, religion, agriculture, business—whatever your bailiwick—turn it to the battle for freedom.

And fight like a Flynn.

OK. Here it is.

But if it seem evil to you to serve the Lord, you have your choice: choose this day that which pleaseth you, whom you would rather serve, whether the gods which your fathers served in Mesopotamia, or the gods of the Amorrhites, in whose land you dwell:

but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

Biden Removed From White House After Biting Aide
March 9th, 2021

comment image

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Biden has been removed from the White House for evaluation by a team of physicians after biting one of the aides.

“We are so shocked,” said Chief of Staff Ron Klain of the incident. “He has always been so docile and well behaved– always limiting his interactions to sniffing and friendly licks. He’s never bitten anyone like this.”

Experts have suggested that the new environment and activity has been traumatizing to the President, and are suggesting adjusting his diet and perhaps a few weeks at obedience school to remedy the situation.

Turns out that Ivermectin study seems to have been so poorly constructed that the results mean nothing. But it’s being used to cast shade on this treatment.

Protocol violations in López-Medina et al.: 38 switched ivermectin (IVM) and placebo doses, failure of blinding, widespread IVM sales OTC in Cali, and nearly identical AEs for the IVM and control groups
March 11, 2021
https://osf.io/u7ewz/

Abstract

A randomized controlled trial for treatment of mild cases of COVID-19 conducted in Cali, Colombia reported no statistically significant differences in outcomes for its ivermectin (IVM) and placebo arms. A striking anomaly, however, was that certain adverse events (AEs) that are distinctive for the study’s high-dose IVM use occurred at nearly identical rates in its IVM and placebo arms. The backdrop for these indicators of IVM use in study controls was widespread sales of IVM for COVID-19 in the Cali area during the study period, with 1.6 IVM doses sold over the counter for each case of COVID-19. The study compounded these risks of contamination of the control arm with critical errors in blinding and segregation of IVM v. placebo doses. A labeling error substituted IVM for placebo doses of 38 patients. Also, 5% dextrose solution was used for several weeks as a placebo, easily distinguishable from bitter tasting IVM. Given widespread availability and sales of IVM in Cali, lapses in segregation and blinding of IVM and control doses, and IVM-characteristic AEs in controls, the integrity of the study’s control arm was violated. Some useful information can nevertheless be salvaged from outcomes of this study’s IVM treatment arm, which had 0 deaths and generally mild symptoms, with AEs typical for high-dose IVM (replicated in the control group) that were generally mild and transient.

We need to SHAME these FRAUDS posing as researchers at every turn.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Fake science won’t admit to these things, quite frankly. They had to be dragged over hot coals by outsiders to retract Lancetgate, and NOBODY in charge has ever admitted to the Lancetgate Effect in countries that banned HCQ temporarily and saw deaths rise – and then fall when HCQ returned.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

This is going to be an increasing problem in science, as many people lose inhibitions against rigging studies. I believe that “assassination studies” like Lancetgate, and clearly sabotaged studies like this one, as well as politically contrived studies like the ChiCom (in America) Zhang mask study, are all going to become more common.

cthulhu

The replication crisis tilled the soil; the politicization of science seeded the ground. We’re going to enjoy the crop for some time to come.

Biden’s nominee for top civil-rights post hyped the Jussie Smollett hoaxTuesday, March 9th 2021, 7:51:27 pm

President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Justice Department’s civil rights division boosted the now-debunked claim that actor Jussie Smollett was the victim of an anti-gay, anti-black hate crime, saying on Twitter in January 2019 that the actor was attacked by two white men. See more at WND

I’ve been following this story closely from before the marriage. The goal is to insert her into political office. She needs to have her title removed by the Queen first. What I cannot figure out is if the BRF is ‘for’ or ‘against’ her.

Ok I should know better than to post so early and without reading da link. Disregard all my Markle posts. Not relevant to the story. Apologies.

But still true, though! Double true! I loved the irony – Markle is every bit as dangerous as a Soros DA – maybe MUCH MORE dangerous!

I wonder who her backers are.

Why am I not surprised.

To defeat woke tyrants, the rest of us must treat them like the monsters they are
By Glenn H. Reynolds March 11, 2021

comment image

Most Americans hate woke politics — and most minorities don’t share “woke” priorities. Indeed, according to pollster David Shor, woke excesses are causing black voters to flee the Democratic Party. Despite endless charges of “racism,” former President Donald Trump took the biggest share of minority voters of any Republican in my lifetime.

Woke tyrants ride high, even so; according to a Cato/YouGov poll, 62 percent of Americans self-censor their political expression. Only a tiny minority of consumers care about Mr. Potato Head’s toxic masculinity, about “Aunt Jemima” as a brand or about the #MeToo aggressions of Pepé Le Pew. Yet corporations, universities and governments rush to placate that minuscule slice of the population, trashing large chunks of our culture in the process.

It’s happening not because anybody voted for it, but because a small but determined and vicious minority is bullying people to go along, relying on cowardice and groupthink to achieve ends that could never happen via majority vote: How do you think Dr. Seuss would have done in a referendum?

How does this happen? To some degree, the woke abuse the good nature of Americans. For the most part, Americans want their fellow citizens to be happy. If they hear something makes others unhappy, they generously look to change things.

And there’s fear. Writing about the goings-on at New York’s Dalton School, Bari Weiss notes that even parents who think the political correctness has gone too far are afraid to speak out: They think their kids’ shot at the Ivy League could be at risk. And it’s not just Dalton.

Weiss quotes one mother: “I look at the public school, and I am equally mortified. I can’t believe what they are doing to everybody. I’m too afraid. I’m too afraid to speak too loudly. I feel cowardly. I just make little waves.” Another says: “It’s fear of retribution. Would it cause our daughter to be ostracized? Would it cause people to ostracize us? It already has.”

In his book “Skin in the Game,” Nicholas Nassim Taleb writes about the surprising ability of small but intransigent minorities — 3 percent to 4 percent is enough — to change the direction of entire societies. He writes: “The most intolerant wins. . . . Yes, an intolerant minority can control and destroy democracy. . . . [I]t will eventually destroy our world. So, we need to be more than intolerant with some intolerant minorities.”

Does this mean we should be less tolerant of our own minoritarian tyrants? In a word, yes.

I don’t mean that they should be forced into camps, or even driven from their jobs and from polite society, as the woke are all too willing to do to their opponents. But they need to be deprived of the thing that is most important to their self-image: moral credibility.

The woke think of themselves — and want everyone else to think of them — as deeply moral. If they have a flaw, it’s that they just care too much. They’re too idealistic, too empathetic, too eager to make the world a better place.

That’s bulls–t (pardon my French, Pepé!). If you look at what they do, rather than what they say about themselves, it quickly becomes obvious that the woke are horrible, awful, people, and they should be treated as such and reminded of this whenever they raise their head.

Historically, it’s not the good guys who are out burning books and censoring speech. It isn’t the caring, empathetic people who try to destroy lives based on something someone said years ago, often while young, often taken out of context. It isn’t the good guys who take undisguised glee at the ruining of lives, families and careers.

You know who does these things? Horrible, awful people. Selfish people. People with serious mental and emotional problems who seek some sort of vindication for their deficient characters by taking power trips while imposing suffering on others.

Treat these tyrants as what they are: awful people who shouldn’t be listened to and who need to work hard on joining the better half of the human race. And remind them of it, over and over. Because it’s true. Deep down, they know it, too.

I did a lap on the Disneyland Railroad one time, and (IIRC) the Fireman had a de-odored skunk as a pet.

From him and others, they reputedly make very engaging pets — in their mind, they still have their species’ natural defense, so they have no fear of humans and rather appreciate attention.

Even if aware they can’t spray, their other patterns wouldn’t change as they’re largely instinctual/temperament. As long as they’re not taught a lesson (e.g., an abusive owner), there’s no reason for it to change, even if they know they can’t spray.

Leave Dr. Seuss for Dead
By Edward Welsch

https://www.intellectualtakeout.org/leave-dr–seuss-for-dead/
comment image

One of the most prominent children’s book authors of the 20th century, Dr. Seuss, suffered a double blow to his legacy this month. His estate said they would no longer publish six of his children’s books that contained depictions of Africans and Asians that are “hurtful and wrong.” The Biden administration followed by unceremoniously dumping all of the doctor’s books from its annual “Read Across America Day” book list.

Conservatives tore their shirts in anguish over yet another example of cancel culture and political correctness gone mad. Fox News ran segments lamenting the left’s suppression of Dr. Seuss all day on March 2. “People are too scared,” Fox & Friends co-host Ainsely Earhardt said. “The places we are going in this country right now!”

It is ironic to see members of the right run to the defense of the dear doctor, who himself was one of his era’s greatest cancelers of conservatives. Dr. Seuss was the lead cartoonist during the interwar years for PM, a leftist New York daily tabloid dominated by Communist fellow travelers. He routinely used his post to smear conservatives opposed to the Roosevelt administration as racists and anti-Semites, and the paper’s editorialists aggressively lobbied Roosevelt’s government to shut down conservative media.

Moreover, in his role at PM, Dr. Seuss was one of the most effective propagandists advocating for war and internationalist foreign policies committing American troops and treasure abroad. An enemy of the original “America First” conservative populist movement, Dr. Seuss was not just an advocate for America’s early entry into WWII, but for a permanent internationalist foreign policy posture after WWII, and for the re-education of people worldwide into the ideals of American democracy.

. . . By the end of the war, Geisel was well-off from plying his trade as a skilled propagandist for various internationalist socialist causes, wealthy WASPs, oil companies, and the U.S. military. But he truly struck it rich as a writer of children’s books. His 1956 hit, The Cat in the Hat has sold millions of copies and is still in print today. Geisel has admitted that his children’s books are themselves propaganda. “I’m subversive as h—!” Geisel said in an interview published in Jonathan Cott’s 1983 book Pipers at the Gates of Dawn. “I’ve always had a mistrust of adults.…The Cat in the Hat is a revolt against authority.”

The last thing to note about the recent handwringing over Dr. Seuss is that he isn’t truly being canceled. He was forgiven in the ’70s for his racist statements on and depictions of Asians, which were arguably much worse than what Charles Lindbergh said about the Jews (and for which Lindbergh has never been forgiven). Seuss’s image is merely being scrubbed clean this month. Six books that contain uncomfortable depictions of Asians and Africans were merely taken out of his canon. The rest remain favorites of the neoliberal establishment. As former President Barack Obama said in 2015: “Most of what you need to learn you can actually just read Dr. Seuss.”

TheseTruths

As a child who loved his books, none of that mattered to me, of course, since I had no clue. As an adult who knows how it is still the case that none of that matters to children, and the benefit that children still receive from his books, I’m not comfortable with censoring them. Children learning to read know nothing of propaganda, questioning authority, racist depictions, international politics, and the like. They just see a fun and rewarding way to learn.

Sadie Slays

Given the man’s military connections and career as a literal propagandist, I strongly suspect he was positioned as a children’s book publisher by the early intelligence agencies of the time. He didn’t just write books; he had a powerful position editing and publishing other children’s authors.

What did children read before there were Dr. Seuss books? More specifically, what did Dr. Seuss books replace in the average child’s education? Serious questions. I honestly don’t know the answers to them. I ask because I wonder if his position in children’s publishing was used to keep pro-Christian, pro-America, and pro-anything inconvenient to the cabal agenda out of children’s books.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Great thinking! He was an AGENT OF SECULAR MORALIZATION. Yes – you NAILED IT. I was a kid at that time. My mother was still adjusting to American culture as an adult, returning from Hitler’s Germany and Poland after the war – she sucked up the Dr. Seuss and trendier crap, but I had friends and baby sitters with more traditional stuff because they had more grounding in the culture. Much more classic stories and religious stuff – Bible stories – etc. At that time libraries were becoming more leftist, and the “new” kids books were all the bright and shiny!

Oh, this is all making sense now!

Sadie Slays

I had friends and baby sitters with more traditional stuff because they had more grounding in the culture. Much more classic stories and religious stuff – Bible stories – etc.

Yeah, this is what I suspected. They’d rather have the children reading about green eggs and ham rather than the Bible or Western civilization classics like Brothers Grimm fairy tales. They want to erase history and tradition almost as badly as they want to erase Christianity.

Kids, though, when they are little, can’t learn to read using Grimm’s Fairy Tales, which can be pretty grim.

That’s part of the appeal of the sing songy rhyming of Dr. Seuss. And you can always add more reading to counter any messages not desired.

para59r

Yep. The Dr. Suess books promoted literacy and after your first few months with them you were branching out to more varied reading.

Absolutely.

How did children learn to read before Dr. Seuss? What beginner books did they start with? I’m not being a smartass here. I’m genuinely curious what Dr. Seuss replaced.

I had a college professor from Russia who said “The Cat in the Hat” is actually about how to be afraid of your mother.

That being said, the simple rhymes and ear candy worked to help one of my nephews learn to talk. He’s clueless about liberalism, etc., at this point.

If people want Christianity and traditionalism in their children’s reading ciriculum, then add it. Leaving such education to others without discernment is a cop out.

Unfortunately, a good Tempranillo can be hard to find. The ones in the local grocery store are usually the lower end of quality, with bitingly sharp tannins and sometimes murky overtones.

I’m guessing that would also be the case for places like Spec’s. The prices appear to be in grocery store range.

cthulhu

Actually, there are a variety of Mediterranean wine grapes that are very forgiving, prolific, and almost impossible to make really bad wine with. They include Tempranillo (Spain), Sangiovese (Italy — the primary component to Chianti) and what became Zinfandel in Yugoslavia.

Trader Joe’s has a variety of drinkable versions of these for about $4 a bottle.

By contrast, Northern European wines tend to be tempermental and vary in character from vintage to vintage. I’ve had expensive Merlots that were over-sweet in an odd syrup-y sort of way. I find most Cabs undrinkable as sold (lay ’em down for 3-5 years and they start getting good)….

And, then, there is the Great Divide between varietals (based on one kind of grape, as above), and regionals (based on a region’s preferred style, with a mix of grapes). Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Chianti are all regional wines.

It’s like the difference between single-malt Scotch and Chivas Regal.

cthulhu

Mediterranean wine grapes show up in the house wines of many taverna. As you take a sip, you may think, “this is a fine vintage — perhaps five weeks ago….stomped by….yes, Maria!”.

cthulhu

It’s actually a mixed bag. The University of California at Davis has a department — https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UC_Davis_Department_of_Viticulture_and_Enology — that is top-tier, if not the best worldwide, in understanding what makes palatable and fine wine. That said, there was a scandal some years back where a Gallo hired/interned a bunch of them to do a batch of “Hearty Burgundy” that contained no actual grapes…….

The UCD program is a major reason that California wines are competitive with (and frequently better than) European wines. But it also meant that the wines produced by wineries got to be conjured-up to spec by marketing people.

It’s not that winemaking is particularly broken….it’s more like “strictly business”.

Deplorable Patriot

Strictly business, and definitely NOT the French model.

gil00

Gallo? No grapes ..wow

gil00

Yes. Theres a bunch of wineries in my region and brew rooms. All kinds of etoh tourism. People were renting busses just to go around to every one and get loaded. Very classless people and they were caysing fights etc.
Most of this is better.
RN, the issue is blm adherents coming from L.A. and renting yuge winery houses from air bnb and having house parties over a weekend with hookers and all. They completely destroy the homes.

Normalizing Deceit

When the media lies like this, the media normalizes deceit, and the word “liar” loses its sting. Lying becomes part of the New Normal.

When government lies as well—Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction, Assyd’s use of chemical weapons, Iranian nukes, Russian invasions, Russiagate—lying becomes ubiquitous. Truth becomes so discordant that truth is discarded.

Truth-tellers become dissident “conspiracy theorists” who are guilty of trying to shake the population’s confidence in the ruling lies. They are censored, and if they persist they risk becoming labeled “domestic terrorists” and “enemies of democracy.” Orwell’s 1984 is our reality.

Newspeak is used to restrict grammar and limit vocabulary in order to diminish the range of thought and communication. Thus, gender terms become impermissible, and language cannot be used to identify gender. The Democrat House has even passed House rules to this effect. A granddaughter is a grand-sibling, a stepbrother is a step-sibling, terms that obviously convey far less information.

The feminization of university life and society in general results in feelings replacing reason, bringing an end to independent thought, which is confrontational. “Tone” becomes more important than content. With math and physics demonized as tools of white racism, society is on its way back to the dark ages. (See https://www.chroniclesmagazine.org/blog/an-unleashed-feminine-mystique-is-destroying-higher-education/ )

These facts of our time make this website important to those who value truth and wish to live a life outside The Matrix. For this reason, readers should support this website.

society is on its way back to the dark ages

The irony of this statement being that the Middle Ages were actually a time of great discovery in some parts of the world.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

“Dark ages” is a term not favored by historians now. It originally referred to an era we couldn’t figure out much about, because they left few records (being too busy trying to survive). And, contrary to popular belief, it generally only referred to about 400-800, not the entire medieval period, the latter portions of which had surprising technological innovation and of course the beginnings of the university system.

There has even been speculation that the 20th century will be looked back on as a dark age, because so many books then were printed on acid laden paper and will disintegrate.

But the term now means any period of collapse, and can serve as a generic for any similar period (whether or not it’s global). In that sense…maybe we’re headed for one.

What’s the best way to determine how much each president has contributed to our nation’s nearly $27 trillion in U.S. debt? The most popular ways to do so involve comparing the debt level from when a president enters office to the debt level when they leave, and comparing the debt as a percentage of economic output, which takes into account the size of the economy at the time the administration accumulated the debt.

Fact Check: About Those Viral ‘Trump vs. Biden’ Economic Charts…
Guy BensonGuy Benson| @guypbenson|Posted: Mar 11, 2021 10:25 AM

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2021/03/11/about-this-chart-n2586028

Lefties and journalists — often one in the same, of course — have been sharing charts on social media purporting to illustrate how much better Joe Biden’s first major legislative achievement (‘American Rescue Plan’) will be for average Americans than Donald Trump’s opening foray (‘Tax Cuts and Jobs Act’). Because they appear to confirm typical partisan stereotypes designed to reflect poorly on Republicans, these have rocketed around the internet:

First off, we are comparing apples to oranges here. The Trump/GOP tax cut reduced Americans’ tax burdens and simplified the tax code overall. It did not represent the government mailing one-off (taxpayer-funded) checks to people; it implemented a new policy to allow American families and businesses to keep more of the money they earn every year (reminder: the economy grew and government tax receipts increased after these tax cuts). Second, there are reasons why the data points above look the way they do. The so-called “COVID relief” bill will send direct one-time payments to Americans earning under a certain income threshold, excluding wealthier Americans. The tax reforms and cuts necessarily impacted higher earners because they were — and still are — paying disproportionately high percentages of all federal taxes:

[A telling part of this story:]

The New York Times even felt compelled to produce a fact check to disabuse large numbers of Americans, including a large share of Democrats, of the false notion that they were not receiving a tax cut from the GOP-passed law. Democrats and their media allies had lied to them so incessantly that people simply did not believe the factual truth about what the law actually did, weirdly clinging to a semi-religious belief that the new law did nothing for the non-rich — or even raised their taxes. This was simply untrue, the Times reported, triggering a wave of fury from blind ideologues incensed by their own financial benefit.

EXCLUSIVE: Taylor-Greene Bill Calls For FULL Biden Immigration Moratorium, Cessation Of All Migrants Into USA.
MARCH 11, 2021 STAFF WRITER

https://thenationalpulse.com/exclusive/mtg-immigration-bill-calls-for-moratorium/

Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene is set to release a bill calling for a full moratorium on migration into the U.S. and several other America First immigration measures, The National Pulse can exclusively reveal.
In addition to the moratorium, the bill would also reinstate hallmarks of the Trump presidency: the zero-tolerance policy, termination of chain migration, constructing a wall on the southern border, and more.

The bill focuses on protecting American workers and national security, as the moratorium would last throughout Joe Biden’s presidency and until Americans are able to return to work. The bill would also do away with Biden-era executive orders that have allowed for crime and human trafficking to increase at the U.S. border and reintroduce Trump-era policies.

Taylor-Green’s legislation comes as President Biden’s relaxation of Trump’s policies triggered a crisis at the border, including increasing durations of stay for unaccompanied children past the federal limit and over 100,000 migrants attempting to cross the border in just four weeks.

The bill also shortens the removal period for illegal aliens from 90 to 30 days, strip “sanctuary cities” of federal funding, and terminate Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

Concerning the southern border, the bill would either improve existing portions of wall or construct new panels through a 22-billion-dollar fund housed at the U.S. Treasury Department.

To enforce the variety of strict measures, Rep. Taylor-Greene would prohibit financial aid to countries whose citizens are either detained or deported by the U.S.

The Biden regime is not a sustainable political entity. It cannot continue to exist in its present state because it will collapse under the weight of its own spectacle. As a result, it needs a catalyst to move its increasingly unpopular agenda forward. The catalyst they are trying to create is a defined internal enemy. A bogeyman they can use to justify tyrannical “emergency” actions, which mask the truth of the regime’s activities and enable it to eliminate any credible political opposition.
Since the national security apparatus is the primary regime backer within the permanent bureaucracy, you can expect it to use the provocation-reaction-counteraction template that is the favorite of organizations like the FBI. They provoke and harass the target until it punches back—at which point the target is labeled a threat and a counteraction is justified.
Traditional Americans need to recognize this tactic because they are the antagonist in this regime’s Greek tragedy. If the regime’s enforcers can get traditional Americans to look like they are about to commit violence, then they can justify the passage of the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act and can implement draconian gun control policies. Once they’ve attained the legal authorities to neuter their political opposition, they can move to further isolate them under the guise of national security.
Keep in mind that agents provocateurs and government informants are now a part of the political landscape. The regime wants to restrict or eliminate constitutional rights it deems problematic, including the Second Amendment. Don’t make it easy for them by following their agents provocateurs. Those who continuously espouse violence are poseurs and provocateurs. Government informants are paid to lie for their handlers. Treat both of them like any other undesirable character and walk away.
Remember the old Russian proverb: “Three men sit down to talk about revolution. Two are police informants, and the third is a fool.”
Traditional Americans can win this battle, but they need to be smart about it. They should understand the tactics that the regime will use and not fall into the trap that is being laid. We, traditional Americans, can do this by using a layered defense-in-depth that capitalizes on nonviolent political action.
There is a certain kind of personality that is attracted to Washington, D.C. That personality may be vain, self-serving, power-hungry, and even psychotic, but the one thing it will always do is try to position itself next to the winner, the one with the power. If traditional Americans want Washington to do their bidding, then they need to look, sound, and act like winners. Traditional Americans need to demonstrate that it is the people who have the power and that the people are the ones to be feared . . . thus liberty.

Now is not the time for impotent tough talk and posturing with weapons at protests.
By Max Morton March 9, 2021

In America, firearm ownership is a right—not a privilege. It is guaranteed by the Second Amendment of the Constitution’s Bill of Rights and backstopped by the Supreme Court’s decision in District of Columbia v. Heller. Traditional Americans view the Second Amendment as one of the most important in the Bill of Rights. It is a part of American culture; a unique individual right of self-preservation and protection that is now either nonexistent or heavily restricted in most other nations.

Over the past several years, as the woke cultural revolution intensified, conservative conversations focused on the Second Amendment as the final defense against the tyranny that may result as progressives march toward authoritarian-style government. In response, right-leaning and independent-minded citizens have shown up at protests to exercise those Second Amendment rights by posturing with firearms and assorted tactical equipment. Regardless of the prudence involved in such actions, we are now treading on new ground.

Following the November 3 election and subsequent January 6 protest at the Capitol, the current regime set out to eliminate political opposition by casting them as “white supremacists” and “domestic extremists.” They intend to use the legal authorities, tactics, and techniques that were previously employed against Al Qaeda and ISIS against those ordinary Americans who refuse to accept the ruling elite’s political ideology.

Simply put, the most deadly counterterrorism machine from the world’s most powerful country is coming for you. You, ordinary American, are the target. Now is not the time for impotent tough talk and posturing with weapons at protests. The Second Amendment, and all of our rights, are critical to a free society, and we should seek to understand how best to exercise and defend them from authoritarian factions of the ruling elite. This is the time to get smart on how to counter this assault on liberty and avoid falling into the traps the ruling elite are setting for traditional America.

Choose Your Ground – Now is not the time… but it’s the only time your going to get.

Yes the provocation-reaction-counteraction template is in play, however the roads back to normalcy and democracy are being closed down as well. Resistance needs to harden and society must become very brittle to the snapping point unless the left decides to soften and when and if they do we need to keep pushing back and keep pushing back all the time expecting everything to snap. Back lash by the government needs to met with more and more indignation not less. Support for those under pressure is required and condemning those that put them under pressure needs to be the order of the day.

Faux-Con Watch: David Brooks.

Opinion
Joe Biden Is a Transformational President
We’re seeing a policy realignment without a partisan realignment.
By David Brooks
Opinion Columnist
March 11, 2021

*https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/11/opinion/biden-covid-relief-bill.html

The Covid-19 relief law that was just enacted is one of the most important pieces of legislation of our lifetimes. As Eric Levitz writes in New York magazine, the poorest fifth of households will see their income rise by 20 percent; a family of four with one working and one unemployed parent will receive $12,460 in benefits. Child poverty will be cut in half.

The law stretches far beyond Covid-19 relief. There’s a billion for national service programs. Black farmers will receive over $4 billion in what looks like a step toward reparations. There’s a huge expansion of health insurance subsidies. Many of these changes, like the child tax credit, may well become permanent.

As Michael Hendrix of the Manhattan Institute notes, America spent $4.8 trillion in today’s dollars fighting World War II. Over the past year, America has spent over $5.5 trillion fighting the pandemic.

In a polarized era, the legislation is widely popular. Three-quarters of Americans support the law, including 60 percent of Republicans, according to a Morning Consult survey. The Republican members of Congress voted against it, but the G.O.P. shows no interest in turning this into a great partisan battle. As I began to write this on Thursday morning, the Fox News home page had only two stories on the Covid relief bill and dozens on things like the royal family and cancel culture.

Somehow low-key Joe Biden gets yawns when he promotes progressive policies that would generate howls if promoted by a President Sanders or a President Warren.

This moment is like 1981, the dawn of the Reagan Revolution, except in reverse. It’s not just that government is heading in a new direction, it’s that the whole paradigm of the role of government in American life is shifting. Biden is not causing these tectonic plates to shift, but he is riding them.

~~~
Oh it’s definitely like the reverse of a dawn there David.
He does get something right, by accident of course.
5 Cops Charged After Executing Unarmed 15yo Boy Like a Firing Squad on Video
Oklahoma City, OK — An act of capital punishment caught on video was so excessive and over the top that five Oklahoma City police officers have been charged with first-degree manslaughter. A 15-year-old boy was complying with officers’ orders before all five cops opened fire on him, executing him in firing squad fashion.
The incident unfolded on Nov. 23, 2020, when police were called to a gas station over a report of a robbery in progress. The alleged suspect was 15-year-old Stavian Rodriguez. Until now, police ran with the narrative that Rodriguez was an armed threat. However, video proves this is not true.
When police arrived, the clerk managed to flee the store while locking Rodriguez inside. Officers had the gas station surrounded when Rodriguez climbed out of a window to comply with the officers’ orders to exit the building.
“Nobody has to get hurt, just show us your hands,” police say over the loudspeaker. Later the voice repeats, “Facedown, on the ground.”
As the video shows, when the boy walks into the parking lot, he puts his hands up, shows his waistband and is armed. Officers order the boy to drop the weapon and Rodriguez complies, going so far as to grab the pistol by the extended magazine to make sure officers knew he could not shoot at them.
After dropping the gun, officers yelled at the now-unarmed Rodriguez to comply with conflicting orders. In a probable cause affidavit from the Oklahoma County district attorney, authorities admitted the officers were “simultaneously giving him varying commands.”
Clearly confused, Rodriguez appears to reach his hand to his lower back to either pull up his pants or possibly empty his pockets. But he would never finish what he started because five officers opened fire on the boy and executed him like a firing squad.
He was unarmed and the only thing in his pockets was his cellphone.
“Stavian Rodriguez had no weapons other than the firearm, which he dropped prior to being shot,” the affidavit said. “A cellphone was recovered from the left rear pocket he had his hand in at the time he was shot.”
All five officers who fired shots — Officers Bethany Sears, Jared Barton, Corey Adams, John Skuta and Brad Pemberton — face charges of first-degree manslaughter. Another officer, Sgt. Sarah Carli, was not charged because she fired a less-lethal round.
Disgustingly enough, John George, president of the Oklahoma City Fraternal Order of Police, defended the officers for executing the unarmed boy, claiming the officers, who were previously joking about the boy “calling his mom,” feared for their lives and made a “split second decision.”
Oh no. Aside from the tragic loss of life with these incidents, I’m so tired of the Left using them to divide us.
Scott467
After you get past all the bias and inflammatory rhetoric in this hit-piece designed to ignite a race riot, the basic fact is that the officers followed their training.
You don’t wait for an armed suspect to shoot at you first.
They knew he was armed because he dropped one weapon on the ground. There is no way for the officers to know if that was his only firearm.
When he reached his hand behind his back for his pocket, as an officer (or even a civilian), you can’t wait until the (reasonably expected) gun is pointed at you, because if you do, and there is a gun in his hand, you’re already dead.
It happens just that quick.
Which is why the police are TRAINED to shoot, if they have reasonable cause to think a suspect is armed, and he reaches for his pocket or his waist or wherever a gun might be hidden.
But you would never know that from this hack writer, who purposely characterized the situation as a ‘firing squad’ over and over again.
If the officers have an even halfway competent attorney, there is no way a jury can lawfully convict. Not once the jury has the LAW explained to them, and the training, and the REASON for the training.
Officers don’t have to wait until they’re dead before defending themselves.
Nobody does.
No matter how inflammatory the claims of the media are to the contrary.
pgroup2
But the civil suit will be massive, due to conflicting/confusing orders being yelled.
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
There are people out there who claim cops deliberately shout contradictory orders so they’ll have an excuse to shoot you. If you’re cop A, yelling “down on the ground”, and the guy follows cop B’s orders to “freeze!”, he’s violating your orders, so you shoot him.
cthulhu
It certainly demonstrates a lack of training and proper procedure. OTOH, it’s not where you’d find in-person LEO culpable.
para59r
Apparently the Sgt on the scene did not exercise proper command and control over the situation and since she fired a non lethal round she is not among the five being charged.
Breaking: Aussie Navy in COVID Jab Cover Up After Mass Adverse Reactions?
This is a developing story. Mainstream media pulls original story of Australian sailors on HMAS Sydney suffering widespread adverse reactions to COVID19 vaccinations. Sanitized version refers only to “mild side effects” despite the fact the ship’s crew needed hospitalization.
This latest setback for the pro-vaccine lobby follows soon after the Australian government performs a U-turn on mass vaccination policy the day after the Australian Health Minister falls ‘critically ill’ immediately after getting his COVID jab.
So, whenever the mainstream media conspires to quietly ‘disappear’ web pages of a story it has already reported on you can bet something far bigger and worrisome is being covered up.
In this latest case, the UK’s Daily Mail yesterday pulled a story from their pages about adverse COVID jab reactions among the crew of an Australian war ship.
Direct from Australia, a valued contact told us by email:
“Our health minister is still in the hospital from the day after he had his injection! Not a word about the navy hospitalisations. What a way to take out a country’s military… In just one jab!”
Our contact refers to the story earlier this week of Australian Health Minister, Gregg Hunt, who was taken seriously ill in a “critical condition” after he received his dose of the untested, experimental vaccine. In a statement on Tuesday evening his office stated that Minister Hunt had:
“been admitted to hospital with a suspected infection, he is being kept overnight for observation and is being administered antibiotics and fluid.”
Hunt’s story, like this navy frigate shocker, has been toned down for the masses. When we attempted to locate the reference to HMAS Sydney in the Daily Mail it had disappeared. Even our diligent search on the reliable Way Back Machine took us to an unrelated article. Our contact explains:
“I spent quite a bit of time searching through their headlines, but couldn’t find the story. Wouldn’t be surprised if it has been deleted, though the link is still appearing … makes me think it was probably quickly taken down after initial publication.
Choose Your Ground – American Greatness (amgreatness.com)
Now is not the time for impotent tough talk and posturing with weapons at protests By Max Morton March 9, 2021
In America, firearm ownership is a right—not a privilege. It is guaranteed by the Second Amendment of the Constitution’s Bill of Rights and backstopped by the Supreme Court’s decision in District of Columbia v. Heller. Traditional Americans view the Second Amendment as one of the most important in the Bill of Rights. It is a part of American culture; a unique individual right of self-preservation and protection that is now either nonexistent or heavily restricted in most other nations.
Defense-in-Depth
The U.S. military uses a concept called “defense-in-depth” as its primary defensive strategy. Defense-in-depth is a layered, multi-domain approach that uses numerous defensive elements designed to delay and diffuse the advance of an attacker. Rather than relying on a single, strong defensive line, the defender wears down the enemy, causing casualties while deliberately yielding space. Once the enemy has lost momentum and is under stress, the defender mounts a decisive counterattack to destroy the enemy or drive them back to their original lines.
This strategy also works in the political world and is relevant to our current situation. An effective political defense-in-depth strategy should include all mechanisms of political action to wear down the attack on our republic, its culture, and the Constitution. The term political action isn’t just limited to casting a vote or sending money to a political party. Effective political actions include protests, general strikes, walk-outs, sick-outs, civil disobedience, lawfare, and nullification.
The Polish Solidarity movement used many of these same political actions to bring down a socialist government at the height of the Cold War without firing a shot, despite having to outmaneuver rigged elections and a Soviet-style corrupt bureaucracy.
The maxim, “When the people fear the government there is tyranny. When the government fears the people there is liberty,” is instructive in the relationship between the citizen and the ruling elite.
The ruling elite watches and measures the citizenry’s engagement with the actions of government. If the ruling elite sees that the citizenry does not possess the strength of will to hold them to account, then the ruling elite will do as they wish against the citizenry. In this case, the citizenry has incentivized the corruption and tyranny from which it suffers. On the other hand, if the citizenry demonstrates the strength of will to mobilize, organize, and exert its power to hold the ruling elite accountable, then it is the citizenry who is feared . . . thus liberty.
In asymmetric political warfare [you are here], the weaker party wins by not losing. Its greatest strength is its ability to endure. The goal is to wear down the stronger party and use its own inefficiencies and weaknesses against it. The weaker party chooses the ground to fight on and avoids being drawn into a fixed battle. That means avoiding armed conflict unless the conditions for victory are ensured. This is the same strategy our enemies effectively used against us in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
The right to keep and bear arms is a righteous liberty. Of all the individual liberties, it is the one most feared by authoritarian regimes—a mobilized and armed citizenry is the universal cure for the jackboot. The use of arms, as guaranteed by the Second Amendment, is an extremely valuable and important defensive capability. Like any high-value weapon, it should not be exposed to undue danger of capture or destruction. It should be applied judiciously and deliberately to achieve a specific outcome at the critical point in a struggle.
Simply put, and as it was intended by the founders, the Second Amendment should be a last resort, and the last line in the political defense-in-depth.
The Crux
The Biden regime is not a sustainable political entity. It cannot continue to exist in its present state because it will collapse under the weight of its own spectacle. As a result, it needs a catalyst to move its increasingly unpopular agenda forward. The catalyst they are trying to create is a defined internal enemy. A bogeyman they can use to justify tyrannical “emergency” actions, which mask the truth of the regime’s activities and enable it to eliminate any credible political opposition.
Keep in mind that agents provocateurs and government informants are now a part of the political landscape. The regime wants to restrict or eliminate constitutional rights it deems problematic, including the Second Amendment. Don’t make it easy for them by following their agents provocateurs. Those who continuously espouse violence are poseurs and provocateurs. Government informants are paid to lie for their handlers. Treat both of them like any other undesirable character and walk away
Traditional Americans can win this battle, but they need to be smart about it. They should understand the tactics that the regime will use and not fall into the trap that is being laid. We, traditional Americans, can do this by using a layered defense-in-depth that capitalizes on nonviolent political action.
The thing about Amazon that most people don’t get is that the amount of income they get from delivering smiling boxes to doorways isn’t their main source of income — https://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/viewer?action=view&cik=1018724&accession_number=0001018724-21-000004&xbrl_type=v# . As a follow-on to all my kvetching about UPS, I’ve just unboxed my Raspberry Pi 400 kit. I got it for $100 from Adafruit. It includes a Raspberry Pi 4 variant built into a keyboard (remember the TRS-80?) with expanded memory and overclocked. It also includes a matching optical mouse, a cable to connect it with an HDMI monitor, a wall-wart power supply, a SD-to-micro-SD adapter (the micro SD is already in-place), and a nice-looking paperback book.
This really looks like something you can start to work with with just power, an HDMI video device, and an internet cable. For $100.
My intent is to move forward with this tomorrow as if it were my only Linux machine and I were just getting started, and leave a comment describing this. Then I’ll replace the micro-SD with a 32G with Ubuntu Mate and be on my merry way….
I have noted one defect so far — when I hit the bottom 1/4 of the “.” key on the keyboard, it ends up cocked-up. It doesn’t settle flat, it’s tilted so that the top part of the key is above the level of everything else while the bottom level is depressed. I’ll be speaking more to that when I fire things up.
A note about doing business with Adafruit….
Besides getting the Pi, and the other junk I ordered, they threw in a half-size breadboard PCB (this is not the push-in flavor, this is “the solder to it” flavor) and a black surgical-style facemask. I don’t know if I’ll ever use either, but it shows an old-fashioned “desire-to-delight” that I find laudable. Oh, and they also include something to post on your cubicle wall — for my order, it says (on a separate sheet of paper in large type): “A good scientist is a person with original ideas. A good engineer is a person who makes a design with as few original ideas as possible. There are no prima donnas in engineering — Freeman Dyson”.
So far, I’m pleased and excited.
DOJ targets 18-year-old homeschooler, suggests it’s a crime to believe 2020 election stolen
‘The Cua case has nothing to do with seeking justice … [but] has everything to do with punishing a family who dared to show up in support of Donald Trump and dared to question the legitimacy of the 2020 election.’
https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/doj-targets-18-year-old-homeschooler-suggests-its-a-crime-to-believe-2020-election-stolen
GA/FL
Global Warming aka Climate Change, Transgender, mask and vaccine efficacy – all mandatory modern myths – and they want to punish people who don’t toe the line. It’s a socialist pathological attempt to control people’s thought and speech.
Either they are ideologues and have a sick need to defend their unprovable illogical beliefs – They do get when anyone disagrees.
For some, it’s all for profit – big money in green business money-laundering.
They generally do not value human life – as we have seen with abortion and the Democrat governor nursing home murders. 47 years of legal abortion have devastated the humanity of Western nations.
Our side has adamant believers in myths and they will jump on you for not believing them. Reminds me of alcoholics and addicts….or a cult. It’s hard to traverse between the two sides.
“gender” stereotyping 🙂
Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy
Now it is totally clear what that dupey Dem Alan Alda was helping to shill……
GENDER NUTTERY and COMMUNISM.
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
Except that Klinger was *pretending* to be a gender nut, so using him as an example, we would assume they are pretending to be what they want us to think they actually are.
That’s not the message they’d want to send.
Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy
IMO the people behind the MASH franchise were conflating Vietnam anti-war back to Korea (typical left-wing revisionism), centering on doctors “because safe anti-Americanism” (difficult for them to find such attack points, but compare COVID – power of medical to enact socialism), and changed the original movie message to be less “initial propaganda offering” (where the Hollywood message was extremely subtle to pull in right-militarists for the audience) and changed it to be more blatantly indoctrinating (Alan Alda style TV sitcom humor as a vehicle). They were still (IMO) normalizing tranny behavior with the Klinger character, going for laughs, but “speaking the unspeakable” through a “good guy” to get it out there. Notice that this led to a lot of other normalizing propaganda, including Mrs. Doubtfire, which conflated trans with “men’s rights” – a brilliant propaganda move, IMO.
Last edited 3 years ago by Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I know the show was propaganda on the whole, painting the entire military as a bunch of dufuses, and of course Alan Alda got to get on his leftist soapbox.
Valerie Curren
yup, sneak it in via humor
Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy
Hollywood began this early in the 20th century in black and white fare, where it was clear they teased about adultery and trans through “innocently cohabitating via lies and cross-dressing so we can keep from looking worse than we are” characters and plot lines.
It took turning off modern fare to see how they did it in the old fare.
I watched my mother’s face change after strokes and with age. It’s the same guy – same ears – he’s just aged badly.
holly
I can agree with that, except the eye color thing is odd.
GA/FL
The lighting, photography, contacts will change the look of eye color. He may be wearing shaded contacts due to age and sensitivity to light.
Cuppa Covfefe
There are some glaucoma meds that can turn the iris from blue to brown over time (don’t it turn my blue eyes brown). That same med also is used to make eyelashes/eyebrows thicker… Not sure if he is using that… have to say, the side effects of that are gnarly…
GA/FL
Interesting, Cuppa. Are the side effects similar to dementia?
Cuppa Covfefe
Could be 🙂 Actually the med I was thinking of is bimatoprost, which is sometimes used off-label for growing eyelashes and perhaps eyebrows. Could be that they grew inward with “hands-on”…
GA/FL
Certain drugs dilate the eyes.
Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy
We went through that at the time of the debates, when he suddenly had dark eye color. Those are very likely the assistive “heads up” contacts that are essentially Google Glass in contact lens form. Facebook is working on the same thing.
Deplorable Patriot
As people age, noses get longer, not shorter. And the cleft in the chin…that’s not an aging thing.
GA/FL
Maybe Jill wanted him to get one. That Kirk Douglas look. Or maybe it was a decision by the campaign. Or – the skin sagged around the chin on both sides and made it look like a cleft. Giggle.
I could spend a million bucks on plastic surgery and still not be glamorous beautiful – always been just passable. However, after all the years of plain brown hair, GOD gave me some compensation for my sags, bags, broken veins and age spots – a sweet little ‘blonde’ streak around my face and left the rest the same. Looks like I paid the beautician to do it.
TheseTruths
Plastic surgery. As for a chin cleft, I would not put it past some people to create one to bolster their narrative. It’s been done before. But in some pics it just looks like a scar.
Plastic surgeons claim Joe Biden, 76, has undergone a huge transformation during his career through cosmetic procedures that have filled in his wrinkles, altered his hairline and made his teeth whiter
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6970041/How-Joe-Biden-underwent-cosmetic-overhaul-make-appealing-voters.html
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/its-obvious-cosmetic-surgeons-say-biden-had-facelift-before-2020-campaign
Deplorable Patriot
And how did the plastic surgeons redo his hair cowlicks? I had NO IDEA they could change how hair falls on a scalp.
I’ve spent a lot of time in theater, and watching behind the scenes make up artists, etc. I also know ALOT of people who have had plastic surgery. I cry foul. That doesn’t look right, and I don’t trust the Daily Mail.
Biden has also had caps on his teeth for at least a decade.
That’s a different person, IMO.
TheseTruths
I don’t know about Biden’s hair cowlicks, but I do know this: There are enough people who are itching to use Photoshop to make their point, even if it’s a false one. Which is essentially lying. Which is infuriating when we’re trying to find the truth. It has been provably done many times on pics of Hillary just so someone could claim there was a body double. Some people are more invested in the theory than the truth.
There are pages of search results where different plastic surgeons talk about the work Biden has had done. I trust the experts in the field, the plastic surgeons who can spot work done a mile away (and who conversely could spot it that were a different person), before I trust internet sleuths who start out with an agenda and try to make things fit it. (And I’m not talking about you. I’m talking about the people who are misleading everyone on purpose.)
I remember when Biden got the work done that made him look like he was wearing a tight mask. I thought it did him no favors whatsoever and made him look worse, and unnatural. That was several years ago. And that’s the same guy we’re seeing now. He’s the same guy who makes gaffe after gaffe.
Deplorable Patriot
I’m done with this because I’m not going to convince anyone. I know how much “experts” are paid for their knowledge, too. Don’t trust them, but I do trust my gut. Until pictures surface with the bruising from the skin being lifted and repositioned…I’m probably going to doubt those, too, since I’ve actually used Photoshop and other graphics programs to alter images.
I don’t buy it.
TheseTruths
I’m probably going to doubt those, too, since I’ve actually used Photoshop and other graphics programs to alter images.
Which is the point I’m making. People supposedly on our side do this all the time, which is basically lying, because it’s much more fun to assume there is a great mystery and something really out of the ordinary is going on, rather then it just being old Joe with his bad plastic surgery and mental decline.
Agreeing to disagree on this issue. 😊
IBM (International Business Machines)
that’s the same IBM who is partnering and collaborating with mRNA vaccine developer Moderna, as we speak…
but first, some relevant history about IBM’s background…
👉 in the late 1930s and early 40s, IBM partnered and collaborated with The Third Reich….
👉 to provide the computational machines for tracking Jews for extermination.
when the Reich needed to mount a systematic campaign of Jewish economic disenfranchisement, and later began the massive movement of Euro Jews into ghettos…and then the camps…that task was so prodigious, it required something akin to a computer..
but no computers existed in 1933…
👉 however…another invention did exist : the IBM punch-card and card-sorting system..
the IBM Hollerith Machine 🙌
IBM’s subsidiary, IBM Germany ..or Dehomas…enthusiastically custom-designed the complex and specialized applications as an official corporate undertaking…
and, notably, Dehomas’ top management was comprised of openly rabid Nazis, later arrested after the war.
👉 how did the Nazis compile all those lists of Jewish names ?? suddenly, squadrons of militant SS would burst into the city squares and post long Notices demanding compliance of all those listed to assemble the next day at the train station for deportation to the east.
👉 how did the Nazis get those lists ?? all those names ??
👉 IBM Germany’s census operations and advanced people-counting technologies.
Digital Health Pass : IBM and Moderna Hook Up To Capitalize On COVID Reset
link…
https://www.mintpressnews.com/ibm-modernas-partnership-brings-world-to-brink-of-biosecurity-state/276049/
March 10, 2021
using what have already become cliched industry buzzwords like “transparency”, “trust” and “privacy”, IBM’s Digital Health Pass marketing describes the mass tracking application as a “smart way to return to society” that allows people to “return to the activities they love.”
👉 IBM is partnering with the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine developer Moderna to track vaccine administration in real time through its various blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and hyprid cloud services.
this collaboration will focus on “exploring the utility of IBM capabilities in the U.S.”…like its new pilot program for a COVID-19 Digital Health Pass in the state of New York..
👉 which deputizes private businesses to enforce compliance with government-imposed covid vaccine regulations.
NY Gov Cuomo is totally on-board, having announced this and billed it as the Excelsior Pass back in January 2021 (his State of the State address).
👉 this is a mass tracking application….a QR code-based health data tracking app, one of multiple blockchain ledger apps IBM will leverage with Moderna…
others include the Blockchain Transparent Supply and Food Trust services… to restrict food supplies from people who refuse to comply with government-imposed vaccine regulations.
please read the article for much more info and details about how all of this works.
private businesses will become militant enforcers, powered by IBM technology.
this is medical fascism…just like Nazi Germany…but applied to the field of medicine and vaccines.
Take a look at my answer to Grandma. Things seem to be shaping up this way – that the virus escapes immunity from “leaky vaccines” – that the commies are trying to create a kind of biological enslavement.
Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy
Grandma – you do poultry – are you familiar with Marek’s disease? There are new allegations that what they’re trying to do is create the same situation with humans – where we are literally dependent on the vaccine or we will die.
In that case, NOT getting the vaccine protects humanity from BIOLOGICAL ENSLAVEMENT.
It’s a fascinating argument.
Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy
HA! I can see that!
Cuppa Covfefe
Ironic (and terrible) considering that over here there’s a HUGE PUSH to not kill off male chicks after birth due to hens being more needed for egg-laying, etc. The Greens, and the left in general (i.e. everyone except the AfD) are all in. Basically it’s become “kill a baby, save a chicken”. Add that to the incessant Vegan mantra/GreenGospel and the goals of the misanthropic Malthusian deep state show up ever and ever again.
Seems Paul had it pegged in I Timothy 4:1-5:
4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
Verse 3 seems to show their (CCP and globalists) agenda…
Concerned Virginian
Well, didn’t RobberJoe make it QUITE CLEAR in his “speech” last night that there will be NO tolerance of ANY American refusing the CCP Virus vaccine? And didn’t he backhand tie TOTAL compliance with getting the CCP Virus vaccine to his GIVING PERMISSION for the United States to return to normal daily life?
He also specifically tied the above to “doing patriotic duty” and “unity among all Americans.”
Translation: ANY American who refuses the CCP Virus vaccine is a borderline traitor who also wants American citizens to be divided.
is based on a trivial recombinant antigen that can be easily and cheaply retorted. It causes high levels of virus-neutralizing antibodies in 97% of those vaccinated and did not cause any serious side effects in the first hundred patients.
Recombinant antigens supplied from outside, such as those used here, have long been tried and tested in vaccination against hepatitis A and B, for example, and the vaccination is almost risk-free. Vaccination is done with a peptide that has already been synthesized and there is no risk of infection as with microencapsulated RNA, weakened or killed viruses or vector viruses. Since the production of the vaccine antigen takes place outside the body, there is no need to be afraid of the uncontrolled spread of genetic information introduced into the human organism.
The Lübeck anti-Covid-19 vaccination causes hardly any allergic reactions, not at all to polyethylene glycol, which is used by the company Biontech to microencapsulate the mRNA, and in contrast to the vaccinations already approved in Germany, more than a hundred vaccinated people no one reported sick, but continued working uninterruptedly. Any doctor can legally administer the vaccine in their practice.
Each person is vaccinated three times 15 micrograms of recombinant RBD (receptor-binding domain, Arg319-Phe541) of the spike protein S1 subunit. Alhydrogel from InvivoGen serves as the Adiuvans. The vaccine can easily be produced in large quantities. Excellent for mass vaccinations. A single 2,000 liter reactor can produce 35 g of antigen per day, which would be enough for 1 million people. A high-density culture system creates five times the amount. Within a quarter of a year, vaccine could be produced for 80% of Germany’s population in a medium-sized laboratory.
The vaccine is shipped in a freeze-dried state at room temperature and stored in the doctor’s office at 4 ° C in the refrigerator. In contrast to vaccines based on m-RNA, the Lübeck antigen does not have to be frozen continuously.
We hope to soon find a manufacturer who will offer the antigen publicly – it is not yet a vaccine to be approved. Because approval would take too much time, years in Germany. But in the current catastrophic situation one does not need lengthy double-blind tests to precisely work out differences in effectiveness. You vaccinate the first thousand test subjects (preferably with the Lübeck method) and make them immune straight away. If that goes well, ten thousand people will get on with it, and then the rest.
This is actually very cool. What he’s saying is that the antigen does NOT need to be the whole spike protein – just the region which most of the vaccines are targeting for creation of neutralizing antibodies.
This is a valid vaccine, which is following the most cutting-edge science on the virus. Hilarious.
If it walks like a threat, talks like a threat, looks like a threat, and your gut TELLS you it’s a threat —- it’s a threat.
I held my nose and watched the RobberJoe “speech” last night. He clearly tied this threat to ALL Americans getting the CCP Virus vaccine AND “doing what Dr. Fauci and CDC say to do” about wearing masks, social distancing, etc.
RobberJoe singled out July 4th as a date that will be used for “evaluation” [about whether these threats were being taken seriously].
And, guess what? Here’s Dr. Fauci, this week, saying he predicts it won’t be until
MARCH 2022 until there’s any real return to normality.
another clueless shithead given a position of power….
This makes Becerra’s confirmation virtually certain, and that is a crying shame for America, on many levels.
First, Becerra has no medical experience and “little health policy experience.” This alone should raise alarm bells in a nominee for a key health position during a global pandemic.
Yet Becerra is also an abortion radical. In 2003, when Becerra served in the House of Representatives, he voted against the federal ban on partial-birth abortion. During his confirmation hearing, Becerra refused to name a single abortion restriction he supported, including a ban on sex-selective abortion.
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, amen.
I knew it! First they make white people odious and pariah, and then they go after the bi-racials.
You’re not black enough. hahahahha
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9352639/Bi-racial-high-school-senior-looks-white-failed-refusing-confess-white-dominance.html
William Clark, a bi-racial high school senior, who can pass as white, was allegedly failed by his teacher after he refused to confess his ‘white dominance’ during a class at his Las Vegas charter school. He received a failing grade in his Sociology of Change class after he refused to categorize and label his racial, religious and sexual identities. According to a lawsuit filed by his mother, Gabrielle Clark (left), in December 2020, William is described as having ‘green eyes and blondish hair’ and ‘generally regarded as white by his peers’. His mother is black and his deceased father was white, according to court documents. During the class, William was reportedly asked to publicly reveal his race, gender, religious and sexual identities and ‘then attach derogatory labels to those identities’. One of the exhibits that the lawsuit includes is a presentation slide (top right) that reads: ‘Racism = Prejudice + Power. Therefore, people of color CANNOT be racist.’ Now, according to his mother, it’s unclear if her son, who attends Democracy Preparatory Academy at Agassi Campus (bottom right) in Las Vegas, will be able to graduate after being handed a failing grade.
PRAYERS UP FOR STEVE AND ALL AFFECTED
Denver could get one of its biggest snowstorms since 1885
By Alex Sosnowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist & Meghan Mussoline, AccuWeather meteorologist
https://www.accuweather.com/en/winter-weather/denver-could-get-one-of-biggest-snowstorms-since-1885/912929?traffic_source=Connatix
duchess01
Amen and Amen!!!
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
Misty drizzle this morning.
The storm isn’t really supposed to hit until Saturday, but we get icy roads for this evening’s commute.  😡
duchess01
Oh – I was thinking you were busy all day shoveling out – those icy roads can be treacherous – we finally got rid of the last patch of snow yesterday – every year I pray we can get to March 15th without an Ice Storm.
Will keep you in my prayers – keep warm and toasty – got enough firewood? food?
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
Food and firewood are good.
If power goes out Darwin will have to spend his time in a tub closer to the wood stove.
And I may well be shoveling on Monday. We’ll see.
Two storms ago it was just deep enough my car would have got stuck, but I have The Beast (four wheel drive full sized pickup) for such occasions.
duchess01
Well – sounds like you are in good shape – does not sound like too much fun for Darwin – figure he would be happier in a warmer climate – but, that just goes to show you how much I know about bearded lizards – hope you have a snowblower – shoveling is great for building muscle – but, after a while – a person gets tired of that stuff.
Am thankful that 1.5′ of snow we had here has finally melted – wonder how Pat is doing – in the higher elevation – she probably still has some snow cover.
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
That’s the thing.
This snow will likely be gone by Wednesday, unless it blows and drifts.
If it does blow and drift, the direction is going to make a big difference as to what happens to me. I’ve had big storms where I just had to shovel a little bit in front of the garage door, but could then get out…and other cases where I had well over a hundred feet of two foot deep crap to deal with.
But we are expecting 50 degree temps on Monday and Tuesday. Colorado in springtime.
Darwin’s “home” is the Australian Outback. Freezing cold is not something he is likely able to deal with.
duchess01
Oh – so this is the last big hoorah – unlikely to last long – still a lot of snow to dump this late in the season – no?
Do you have a heat lamp in Darwin’s ‘bedroom’?
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
Yeah, he gets heat from a ceramic bulb at night, but of course that depends on the power staying on!
And this isn’t necessarily the last storm of the year; but it IS the normal pattern for “spring” snowstorms. Snowing like crazy in the morning, gone by sunset. Well, maybe not so fast this time, it’s going to be a ton of snow.
duchess01
According to the Denver weather report – yes – an ominous snowstorm – that is just weird – gone by sunset – Hmmm…
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
A lot less common now than when I was a kid, we’ve been going through a drought.
Denver is supposed to get hit far worse than I am actually.
duchess01
Drought? That is terrible – I thought you got your water from the mountain melting – do you store water somewhere on your property? Do you have alternate watering days for showering and laundry?
Oh well – everyone has something weather-wise to tolerate – I love the Spring and Fall here – perfect temps and plenty of sunshine – not wide about the heat and humidity of the summer months, tho’
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
Well water, none of that urban stuff applies.
But when in drought, the risk of fire is much higher.
duchess01
Good Lord – that is awful!!! Could the wells run dry, too? I was going to dig a well – but, water is plentiful here – so decided against it.
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
In theory they could. They try to decide how deep to go to hit the aquifer, so that the well is good for 300 years…but sometimes they don’t get that right. It’s one of those aquifers that’s being drawn down faster than it gets replenished (and that’s true regardless of a drought; that water has been down there for 100,000 years or so).
duchess01
Wow! Many people have wells where I live – there is even a well-digger a country block away – just not sure of the logistics here – or whether or not it would be worth it to dig one.
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
Mine is 250 feet deep. Many people in other parts of the county not over that particular aquifer have to go much, much deeper. They end up just building a cistern and trucking water in.
Semi arid places in the Western US work a lot differently than in the East.
duchess01
I guess so – like a foreign country to me – so many people from around the country visit here – interesting to note the variety of challenges we all face – including the fact that Biden did not win!!!
Did you hear any of his speech last night? I have read some snippets – just cannot tolerate the dude at all – he’s disgusting – it’s like Zero coming back to haunt us, again!!!
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
I saw nothing of it…but apparently he’s talking about requiring the vaccination for everyone.
Little Damn Hitler,
duchess01
Now – you know it is not him – he is just taking orders – after all – this has been their evil plan all along – so sick of all of this nonsense – let’s just lock them all up and be done with this intrusion on our lives – Mkay?
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
I’d love nothing better.
I just don’t see it happening.
duchess01
Well – there must be some reason they have expanded Gitmo – and I do not think they are putting in a dancing hall there, either.
I am hopeful we will see that fortress in DC dismantled – and some evil people leaving in cuffs, too.
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
They expnded gitmo before Trump was out of office. They may have expanded it, expecting him to remain in office. Then when he didn’t…it was something they built and no one was going to come.
Of course that won’t stop the other side from finding a use for the facility. WE could end up there, if that’s the case.
duchess01
Nah – PT said he was ‘not finished yet’ – and I believe him – there is going to be a ‘shaking’ – and it may not be coming from any one man .
God just might do the shaking – and it won’t be pretty, either. I do not think God has given up on America – even though the evil has risen to an alarming level.
I think it is time for God to let His people go – free them from slavery – and kick some satanic butt in the process!!!
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
The shaking may have been totally different.
As for God…he’s depicted in the bible as sometimes waiting for generations to provide relief. And we haven’t gone through anything like Babylonian captivity yet (Biden’s speech was bad, but it wasn’t THAT bad).
I can’t see any warrant in the Bible for assuming He’s going to do something when WE want Him to. (And that’s me suspending my disbelief for a moment, of course, and supposing the Bible is reliable.)
duchess01
What makes you think we have not been slaves long enough? Since 1913, we have been enslaved to a financial debt system that has strangled our ability to make an honest living.
God does not work that way – “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day” (2 Peter 3:8). He can do anything He wants in a nanosecond – He can take down the cabal with a flick of His Mighty Finger.
I, for one, will never doubt the power of God – and the Bible is filled with stories wherein despots got their just rewards in front of God and everybody.
If we have no recourse through Congress, the legislatures, the courts, and the SC – and there is infighting in the Military right now holding up the show – then – where else can we go for relief? I am putting my money on God.
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
Most people don’t perceive that as slavery. It’s certainly nothing like being in literal chains and being flogged for not doing work. (A true slave rarely has debts; he doesn’t have to worry about money at all in fact.)
He can do things in a nanosecond…or He might wait a long, long time before doing it. How long have Christians been waiting for Judgment Day after Christ implied it was imminent (especially in Mark)?
You’re still expecting Him to work on your schedule, not his schedule…which you have no way of knowing.
duchess01
Nope – God has His own timetable – His thoughts are not our thoughts – and His ways are not our ways.
Agree – people did not know they were enslaved – and now they know – however, they were able to see PT’s way as opposed to ‘their’ way – almost immediately, people lost their jobs, the price of gas went up, the alleged kids in the cages came back – AND – we are still stuck with CV and miserable.
And yet – there is FL and SD – who weathered the storm better than the other states – so there is hope there.
I cannot wait until the ‘Freaky Five’ go down – and they will – there are plenty of charges to go around for those who thought they could get away with voter fraud, too.
I think God is seeing people return to Him – becoming more reliant on Him – and believing only He can fix this mess.
I know we have said many times – God works in mysterious ways – well He does – and just because He waited in the past does not mean He will wait now.
I believe there is going to be a whole lotta shakin’ going on – and we just might ‘enjoy the show’ – Finally!
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
I’m thinking a number of things are going to happen…without Trump “magically” getting back into office.
Unfortunately, a lot of damage will be done in the meantime.
duchess01
Yes, that is a problem – but recoverable – imho – and yet – the stock market – believe it or not is up to 32,700 + – Why?
The insanity is ‘off the charts’ – something has got to give – sooner rather than later.
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
Well, rhodium dropped bigtime this last week! That was a bubble that had to burst sometime.
Still ridiculously expensive.
duchess01
Just goes to show you how worthless our fiat money is – what is ‘big time’? Does it mean it is time to buy?
Charlie
CO is a desert. Man brought in vegetation and set up a new eco system.
Snow storms are normal and droughts are caused by water being sold to other states ie. California. Environmentalists and meteorologists are no different than fear monger Fauci.
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
Anyhow, that’s me.
How is SHD today?
duchess01
I’m very sad – my cat died in the middle of the night on Wednesday – she was 16 – am gonna miss her – hard to sleep without her.
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
Ick, running out of literal bed warmers!
duchess01
Most definitely – and I really do not want to get a bed warmer, either – lol – of course – one about 6′ tall would do the trick – 🙂
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA
LOL!!!
GA/FL
Oh Duchess – that is so hard. I am so sorry for you. You had her for so long. I hope you can grieve and find another sweet furry friend to love someday not to far away.
duchess01
Thanks, Georgia – she was a real sweetheart – a loving little girl – purred me to sleep – I guess I knew it was just a matter of time – but, it still hurts when it happens.
holly
Sorry to hear that duchess. It’s so hard to loose a pet.
duchess01
Thanks, Holly – yes, it is – and there is no way around the hole left in one’s heart, either.
holly
No there isn’t. Even it you get a new cat, you will always miss your old friend.
duchess01
True – we were best buds – and I know there are so many animals out there in need of homes – this just hit me particularly hard – gonna take a little time – you know.
holly
Yes, it takes time but when you are ready giving a home to a furperson in need somehow helps. I recently adopted a cat no one wanted after my kitty died. It fills some of the void.
duchess01
I know you are right, Holly – and I am the first one to tell people to go and get another one – I don’t know what is wrong with me – I have been through this before – it just hit me like a ton of bricks – maybe, I am just tired.
holly
For me the older I get the harder dealing with loss is.
duchess01
Oh, dear – am I getting older, too?
Maybe, it is just that death is all around us – first the elderly in the nursing homes – and now – those from the vaccines – it is a real death cult – you know? Depressing!!!
holly
Ahh could be duchess. Hadn’t thought of that. It is depressing.
duchess01
If we are having a hard time dealing with all of this – can you imagine how PT and his family are feeling? It took a lot of courage to ‘walk away’ – let it all play out – and await the results.
Something is going to happen – people have had enough of this corruption – and the CV control freaks – it is like the damn is about to burst or something – what do you think?
holly
I’m just waiting for something to happen. For something to make sense. Very worried that the vaccine becomes mandatory.
duchess01
Agree with the mandatory vaccine – and I agree with the waiting for something to happen – maybe, there is something happening behind the scenes to which we are not privy.
I am sensing something big is in the works – I have no idea what it might be – but, it is not over until the fat lady sings – and she is still taking singing lessons!
holly
I just keep thinking how not normal this all is. And so we wait.
duchess01
I hear you – and none of us is buying that ‘new normal’ stuff, either.
However, I think things are going to start popping up so fast it will make their heads spin – we are already seeing them turn on each other – no a bad sign, either.
Aubergine
I am so sorry you lost your friend! She lived a good long time for a cat, but it is so hard to say goodbye.
duchess01
Thanks, Auber – Yes, it is!!! She was my comfort many times – a pretty, little girl – so feminine and lady-like – now a happy memory – my heart hurts for sure.
duchess01
Hug them for me, GMT!!! Thanks for caring!!!
When God says it is time – I will welcome a ‘new’ one to love. God provides – you know.
duchess01
Thanks, GMT!!! Yes, He does!!!
God Bless You for your kind words – most appreciated – and healing!!!
MAGA Mom
The “cure” of lockdowns has been worse than the disease, as President Trump tried to point out. The scandal of excess deaths due to the “cure” has only begun to break.
Even the CDC admits that over 1/3 of the excess deaths we have experienced are Not due to Covid19. If not due to Covid19, then what? What is killing Americans?
And we know through the very limited audits and investigative reporting that has been done that the portion of excess deaths not due to Covid19 is likely much higher than 1/3.
What is killing Americans at such an excessive rate? What explains the excess deaths? An audit of the death certificates will rip the scandal wide open. We need journalists who will start asking the right questions.
This article is a great start.
“Again, this was known to be likely before the COVID lockdowns ever happened, one reason lockdowns of the healthy have never been used before. (Another major reason is the previous respect accorded for Americans’ natural rights and civil liberties.)
Something other than reason and evidence appears to have been at work in what the world has done over the past year. And it is killing childrenin addition to millions of cancer patients, up to 500,000 additional HIV patients, more than 300,000 additional malaria sufferers per year, 1.4 million additional tuberculosis patients, and hundreds of thousands more worldwide due to starvation.
When it is all said and done, it is entirely possible that lockdowns will have killed millions of people while sparing few, if any, COVID sufferers. The situation we’ve stampeded ourselves into is horrific, indeed. Kooper and Landon could still be alive today, and so could untold numbers of others whom lockdowns will continue to kill.
Kooper’s pastor, Jotty Kinney, told MacGillis the generation their nation is mistreating under false pretenses “are the people that are going to be running our country one day… They’re going to be taking care of us one day, and this is how we’re treating them?”
“They’ll remember these times,” he said. The ones who are alive will. Of the ones who aren’t, we can only promise to live in ways that honor their memory. What we’re doing now, and have done, is the opposite of what America’s kids deserve. No kids should have to die for us to see that.”
henry
“A year ago, we were hit with a virus that was met with silence and spread unchecked,” Biden said, apparently forgetting that he called then-President Trump xenophobic for quickly imposing a ban on travel into the United States.
Such assertions were to be expected, but as LibertyNation’s Graham Noble warns, one sentence from Biden’s speech should terrify Americans:
“We will issue further guidance on what you can and cannot do once fully vaccinated.”
Not the CDC, not the science, but the government will tell you what you can and cannot do if you’re not willing to be Big Pharma’s guinea pigs. And that message was clear as the rest of the speech was basically variation of the theme:
“please, please, please, get vaccinated because it is your duty as Americans,”
Simply put, “obey” America and some of those freedoms your founders bequeathed unto you will be returned…
Between Biden’s bullshit demanding it’s patriotic to take the vax and Murphy telling us that Jesus says to take the vax…..
Neither one are just or righteous so I resist.
duchess01
MAGA Mom
CDC has admitted that 1/3 of excess deaths we have experienced since Covid19 began have not been due to Covid19. Then what?! And we are fairly certain that the portion of non Covid19 related deaths is much higher than 1/3 of excess deaths.
Government overreach, especially the “lock downs”, shut downs and essentially total control and house arrest of free Americans will ultimately be found to be responsible for many deaths. The scandal is only beginning.
Increased drug abuse, alcohol abuse, physical abuse, and suicides as well as lack of health care and lack of preventative care are some of the results of gov forced lock downs. Ongoing stress, lack of funds as people have lost jobs, businesses, homes, everything … the death and harm from lockdowns will continue even after reopening.
Merely reporting excess deaths is not enough. We have to start asking the right questions. Why have they died and what are the root causes? Lockdowns/shutdowns must never be allowed to happen again. Voluntarily staying home? Allowed and sometimes very wise. Gov enforced for weeks and months (almost a year now!) of a healthy population? Criminal.
I stand behind my comment that the lockdowns are the single worst public health mistake in the last 100 years. We will be counting the catastrophic health and psychological harms, imposed on nearly every poor person on the face of the earth, for a generation.
At the same time, they have not served to control the epidemic in the places where they have been most vigorously imposed. In the US, they have – at best – protected the “non-essential” class from COVID, while exposing the essential working class to the disease. The lockdowns are trickle down epidemiology.
Bhattacharya explained that his support of the declaration stems from “two basic facts”.
“One is that people who are older have a much higher risk from dying from COVID than people who are younger…and that’s a really important fact because we know who his most vulnerable, it’s people that are older. So the first plank of the Great Barrington Declaration: let’s protect the vulnerable,” Bhattacharya said.
“The other idea is that the lockdowns themselves impose great harm on people. Lockdowns are not a natural normal way to live.”
He also cautioned that lockdowns have aggravated economic inequality by creating an undue burden for the poor. “it’s also not very equal,” Bhattacharya explained. “People who are poor face much more hardship from the lockdowns than people who are rich.”
https://www.zerohedge.com/covid-19/stanford-medical-professor-insists-covid-lockdowns-worst-public-health-mistake-last-100
Tragic and more information of the harm of lockdowns/shutdowns will continue to emerge as this scandal is only beginning.
IDK what to believe with this guy?
His interview with VICE is completely opposite of this.
He rejected claims about Trump’s military personnel moves to bring in loyalists in the final weeks of his term.
‘There was a lot of concern that we were just some sort of Trump hatchet men coming in to do heinous things to the Department of Defense, which couldn’t be further from the truth,’ he said. He also said he would have stepped down before carrying out any unlawful orders.
‘I knew that I was not going to cross any of those lines, and if asked, I would resign,’ he said. ‘If it’s antithetical to the Constitution or the Uniform Code of Military Justice, it’s an illegal order and you don’t follow it.’
Breaking the Spell
Fighting poverty requires more than just sending money to the poor.
Oren Cass
March 11, 2021
https://www.city-journal.org/covid-19-relief-and-fighting-poverty
Once upon a time, a conservative must have greatly offended a powerful sorcerer. How else to explain the curse afflicting American politics, which condemns each generation to toil anew under the mistaken belief that fighting poverty is merely a matter of sending money to the poor? Twenty-five years after welfare reform, we seem to be back where we started, with Democrats crowing that the $1.9 trillion Covid-19 relief bill, which sends cash to every family for each of their children, will “cut child poverty in half.”
[Re: Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society. . . ] By one measure, the flood of resources accomplished its goal: the poverty rate for households headed by a single mother dropped from 52 percent in 1965 to 45 percent in 1969 and then fell a bit further, to 42 percent by 1995. But at the same time, the number of single-mother households exploded. During the 1960s, the share of all families headed by single mothers had remained basically flat, rising only slightly, from 10 percent to 11 percent. But as policy steered benefits specifically to single mothers, with no expectation of work in return, behavior shifted. By 1980, 19 percent of families were headed by single mothers; by 1995, the share reached 24 percent. We weren’t just bailing water from a leaky boat; we were ripping new holes in the hull as we scooped.
The years since the 1990s welfare reform are the happier coda to this tragedy. The poverty rate kept falling for families headed by single mothers, down to 31 percent in 2019. In fact, poverty in that group fell faster in the 23 years after welfare reform than it did in the 30 years after the Great Society’s launch. Meantime, the share of single-parent households stopped rising. The overall poverty rate for households with children thus fell to 12 percent—its lowest level since the mid-1970s.
The lesson for policymakers should be clear: helping families in poverty is not merely a matter of providing resources indiscriminately. . . The real challenge for policymakers is to help in ways that not only meet recipients’ immediate needs but also move them toward self-sufficiency—while minimizing the likelihood of others falling into poverty. Simply giving everyone money fails this test.
The conservatives’ curse is to explain these frustrating realities in a political culture that often equates compassion with cutting a check. This task would be much easier if we emphasized an affirmative agenda for addressing poverty—not just with ideas like education reform that might pay off a generation hence, or a commitment to free markets that rings hollow to those whom the market has left behind.
. . . MORE . . .
~~~

Oren adds a few of his ideas later . . . but they are weak sauce and lack awareness of Trump’s economic and trade policies. This notion of “those whom the market has left behind” somehow isn’t being connected to who Trump calls “America’s forgotten men and women” and has a blind spot to things like trade policy that hollowed out the U.S. job market unfairly in the last 40 years. If people can’t find work due to a shortage of jobs then we need to increase the number of jobs and stop exporting our work to other nations. The same dynamic can be applied to the energy sector and the policy of energy dominance.

I’ll bet that Alfred Hitchcock never dreamed that ‘gaslight’ would become a verb, because of this film.

It actually was a stage play before Hitchcock made this.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_Light

Gas Light (often spelled as Gaslight and known in the United States as Angel Street) is a 1938 play by the British dramatist Patrick Hamilton. The play (and its 1940 and 1944 film adaptations) gave rise to the term “gaslighting“, meaning a form of psychological abuse in which false information is presented to victims with the intent of making them doubt their own memories, perceptions and judgements.

Scoop: McCarthy leading GOP delegation to southern border
https://www.axios.com/mccarthy-gop-delegation-southern-border-immigration-9ed5c11b-45d3-49fe-8608-c79906796a3b.html

From the article (still having spacing problem when using the block quote feature):

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy will travel to Texas on Monday with roughly a dozen Republican members to assess the growing crisis at the southern border, his office confirmed to Axios.

Why it matters: The visit comes as President Biden is under increased pressure to address the overwhelming flow of unaccompanied migrant children at the U.S.-Mexico border. Recent data shows an average of 321 kids being referred to migrant shelters each day, as Axios first reported.

What we’re hearing: McCarthy sent a letter to the president last Friday requesting a meeting with him to discuss the situation. A source familiar with the letter told Axios that McCarthy has yet to receive a response.

Republicans from the Texas congressional delegation also plan to visit McAllen, Laredo and Eagle Pass, Texas, between March 29 and 31, a source familiar with the plans tells Axios.

FBI crime data regarding 2019 hate crimes has been published.

Statistical issue is they do not list white only category. They combine white and hispanic. We do not actually know how many caucasians committed hate crimes. fake news media will take the 52.5% and run with it.

From the link:

In 2019, race was reported for 6,406 known hate crime offenders. Of these offenders:

  • 52.5 percent were White.
  • 23.9 percent were Black or African American.
  • 6.6 percent were groups made up of individuals of various races (group of multiple races).
  • 1.1 percent were American Indian or Alaska Native.
  • 0.9 percent (58 offenders) were Asian.
  • 0.3 percent (22 offenders) were Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander.
  • 14.6 percent were unknown.

Ethnicity
Ethnicity was reported for 5,443 known hate crime offenders. Of these:

  • 33.1 percent were in the ethnic category Not Hispanic or Latino.
  • 10.0 percent were Hispanic or Latino.
  • 1.9 percent were groups made up of individuals of various ethnicities (group of multiple ethnicities).
  • 55.0 percent were of unknown ethnicity.

This link lists the breakdown of crimes but what would be more helpful is the breakdown of crimes by whom.

Also, how is it determined that the crime was specifically motivated by race? Must there be proof on the criminal’s social media, books read, words said at the time, etc. or is it based on the impression/feelings of the victim?

Who were the criminals attacking Asians, Hispanics/Latinos & whites? Who were the criminals attacking Blacks?

From the link:

  • 48.5 percent were victims of crimes motivated by offenders’ anti-Black or African American bias.
  • 15.7 percent were victims of anti-White bias.
  • 14.1 percent were victims of anti-Hispanic or Latino bias.
  • 4.4 percent were victims of anti-Asian bias.

Of the 1,715 victims of anti-religious hate crimes:

  • 60.2 percent were victims of crimes motivated by offenders’ anti-Jewish bias.
  • 13.2 percent were victims of anti-Islamic (Muslim) bias.
  • 3.8 percent were victims of anti-Catholic bias.
  • 3.8 percent were victims of anti-Other Christian bias.
  • 3.5 percent were victims of anti-Sikh bias.
  • 2.9 percent were victims of anti-Eastern Orthodox (Russian, Greek, Other) bias.
  • 2.6 percent were victims of bias against groups of individuals of varying religions (anti-multiple religions, group).
  • 1.4 percent were victims of anti-Protestant bias.

Speaking of Critical Race Theory, Communist/Marxist indoctrination in the classroom(s) and DEMONRAT evil being preached from the cradle to the grave, here’s an article that should give one pause and cause for concern (H/T “smalldeadanimals” via another ian on chiefio):

https://christopherrufo.com/revenge-of-the-gods

A short excerpt (the whole article is a real eye-opener):

Next week, the California Department of Education will vote on a new statewide ethnic studies curriculum that advocates for the “decolonization” of American society and elevates Aztec religious symbolism—all in the service of a left-wing political ideology.

The new program, called the Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum, seeks to extend the Left’s cultural dominance of California’s public university system, 50 years in the making, to the state’s entire primary and secondary education system, which consists of 10,000 public schools serving a total of 6 million students.

In theoretical terms, the new ethnic studies curriculum is based on the “pedagogy of the oppressed,” developed by Marxist theoretician Paolo Freire, who argued that students must be educated about their oppression in order to attain “critical consciousness” and, consequently, develop the capacity to overthrow their oppressors. Following this dialectic, the model curriculum instructs teachers to help students “challenge racist, bigoted, discriminatory, imperialist/colonial beliefs” and critique “white supremacy, racism and other forms of power and oppression.” This approach, in turn, enables teachers to inspire their pupils to participate in “social movements that struggle for social justice” and “build new possibilities for a post-racist, post-systemic racism society.”

R. Tolteka Cuauhtin, the original co-chair of the Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum, developed much of the material regarding early American history. In his book Rethinking Ethnic Studies, which is cited throughout the curriculum, Cuauhtin argues that the United States was founded on “Eurocentric, white supremacist (racist, anti-Black, anti-Indigenous), capitalist (classist), patriarchal (sexist and misogynistic), heteropatriarchal (homophobic), and anthropocentric paradigm brought from Europe.” The document claims that whites began “grabbing the land,” “hatching hierarchies,” and “developing for Europe/whiteness,” which created “excess wealth” that “became the basis for the capitalist economy.” Whites established a “hegemony” that continues to the present day, in which minorities are subjected to “socialization, domestication, and ‘zombification.’”

“Tolteka Cuauhtin” sounds like a fabricated name… maybe a Red Chinese bot 🙂 ?
With piles of indigestible doughballs of phraseology straight out of the Kalifornistan ed biz, this palaver will probably spread far and wide like a swarm of liberal locusts, destroying any semblence of sanity and order in its path… May GOD forgive and help us all…..

A good response to Faux-Con David French’s propagandist hit piece on Evangelicals over COVID vaccination.

Let’s Not Assume ‘Christian Vaccine Refusal’ Is A ‘Spiritual Problem’
While David French and those like him are free to adopt every line the CDC manifests, there is room for well-informed and well-meaning Christians to disagree about COVID vaccinations.

https://thefederalist.com/2021/03/12/lets-not-assume-christian-vaccine-refusal-is-a-spiritual-problem/

It’s surprising how unsurprising it is when white evangelical David French takes an opportunity to swing at other white evangelicals, as he did once again over the weekend with an article asking why “so many white Evangelicals [are] reluctant to consider the health of their community.”

The article is about vaccines, of course, but it’s mostly about how Christians who are even hesitant to receive one have a “spiritual problem.” Before anyone accuses me of cherry-picking from French’s article to manufacture outrage, note in French’s own words what he describes as his article’s one takeaway: “Evangelical vaccine hesitancy is both an information problem and a spiritual problem.” It doesn’t get much clearer than that.

. . . What French and others need to understand is that Christians who disagree with them are not necessarily adopting a “Don’t tell me what to do” or survival-of-the-fittest attitude. We all have people we love and want to protect. While French and those like him are free to adopt every line the CDC issues, blanket guidelines that far too often ignore data and nuances leave room for well-informed and well-meaning Christians to disagree about mask-wearing and vaccinating.

. . . Christians are sinful and selfish. But faithful believers are doing our best, without blindly following government agencies, to make sense of the information we’ve consumed and to make choices we believe are in the best interests of ourselves and those around us.

Living our lives according to the most terrified voice in the room or to the gospel of political expediency doesn’t equal Christlikeness. Human beings have lots of spiritual problems, but let’s stop assuming a Christian’s hesitancy to vaccinate is necessarily one of them.

~~~
I do not see good motives in French’s attacks. IMO this mess started in his rush to parrot Bill Kristol’s leftist talking points that backfired on him. We know where he is taking orders from.
If he does have good motives then he can find a better way to encourage people to vaccinate than slandering their spirituality and engaging in guilt based manipulation.
(“Guilt” is always a red flag of manipulation when the target audience is Evangelicals. Instead of appealing to grace, fakers appeal to “guilt” pretending they have been given the role of the Spirit to convict others of supposed sins. Guilt manipulation exposes rhetorical dishonesty.)
It is disappointing that French doesn’t apply his own question “How can I serve you?” to his own actions – does his piece exemplify “love our neighbors”?
Especially when the entire premise of the piece – getting a vaccination will prevent the virus from spreading – is still being widely questioned by the “experts” and repeated in the media?
Vaccination is self-protection based on the media narrative – and given the relative scarcity, it seems more loving of others to pass on vaccination for those who are low risk to ensure that the people who need it most – older Americans, at risk groups, medical and front line workers – have access to it.
No one was thinking that not receiving a vaccination was selfish until David French framed it up that way with a constructed moral imperative sharing great common ground with other failed lines of reasoning from the socialist playbook of the religious left.
Short answer: Battered Evangelical Syndrome.
If you fight back you’re automatically one of those horrid Fundamentalists.
Almost everything wrong with Evangelicalism since 1925 can be understood by the fear and psychotic need to be considered acceptable by the broader culture, particularly avoiding the dreaded “F” word.
As far as defining the term, Martyn Lloyd-Jones does a good job tackling the core issues.
Unfortunately it’s been 50 years since this been and there’s been a severe bout of stupid since then.
Manhattan DA Leading Trump Investigation Announces Intention to Leave Office
The district attorney leading a high-profile investigation into former President Donald Trump plans on leaving office later this year.
Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance, a Democrat, told the New Yorker that he will not seek reelection and plans on retiring on Dec. 31.
Vance said he’d essentially made the decision before taking on the Trump case.
The 66-year-old cited the pressure of being the Manhattan district attorney.
“It turned out to be tougher than I thought it would be,” he said, adding: “There’s nothing worse than a politician who doesn’t know when to leave.”
Vance is conducting a secretive probe of Trump. He has repeatedly declined to shed insight on the investigation, though court filings indicate prosecutors believe the former president may have falsified records and committed fraud.
Every voice counts — unless it’s to recall the governor of California
by Stephanie H. Freedman on March 11, 2021
https://www.aim.org/aim-column/california-recall-gov/
Currently, California Gov. Gavin Newsom is being considered for a recall. Politico originally reported the bar is extremely high since organizers would need to collect nearly 1.5 million “valid” signatures. Outlets including the San Francisco ChronicleABC and more echo the same sentiment.
Just a couple months ago, news outlets across the nation disparaged any attempts to question the validity of votes or signatures. The Los Angeles Times even reported that “rejecting ballots isn’t fair to voters”.
Since November, the media has been talking about how “every vote counts” and voter suppression is a major issue affecting our democracy. NBC reported on court decisions to “prohibit counties from rejecting ballots if the voter’s signature on it does not resemble the signature on the voter’s registration form”. The Atlantic bemused that signature matching is like “witchcraft” and could lead to thousands of legitimate ballots being thrown out. Vox wrote a lengthy article on how to check and fix if a signature was rejected. Slate speculated the signature matching process disportionately hurts minorities
After only a couple months, the coverage on signature verification quickly changed. With the signature deadline looming March 17, the Associated Press acknowledged “the need for a surplus of signatures since signatures are sure to be disqualified”. ABC News reported while the recall seems likely, the signatures still need to be verified. The Hill reported the recall effort “says” they have enough signatures, but the state will have to still confirm the signatures are legitimate voters
Having been well pleased with the flexibility in voting methods the pandemic allowed them, and certainly with the results of the 2020 election, party leaders decided to make these changes permanent. The result was the passage of H.R. 1, the “For the People Act of 2021,” by the House of Representatives on Wednesday.
Noting the gross overreach by the federal government in the bill, the attorneys general of 20 states penned a letter to Congressional leadership which can be viewed here.
This group of top law enforcement officers wrote that “it is difficult to imagine a legislative proposal more threatening to election integrity and voter confidence.” They make the case that H.R. 1 strips the state legislatures of their constitutionally granted authority to determine how elections will be held in their states.
Don’t Remove Margaret Sanger from History. Condemn Her
By WESLEY J. SMITH
March 12, 2021 10:50 AM
https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/dont-remove-margaret-sanger-from-history-condemn-her/
. . . Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, is usually touted as a paragon of feminist valor, a woman of courage who fought off the forces of reaction in her decades-long birth control campaign that liberated women from the tyranny of biology. At least, that’s the story Hillary Clinton likes to tell.
But Sanger had a very dark side, usually omitted in all the posthumous praise. She was a blatant eugenicist, and indeed, her birth-control campaign was not primarily focused on empowering all women, but rather on tamping down procreation rates for categories of women she considered the unfit — including African Americans.
With that history finally coming to the fore, some want Sanger erased from Women’s History Month. . .
. . . I don’t see how any Women’s History Month would be complete without discussing Sanger’s birth-control campaign. Sanger changed the country profoundly and there is no denying that the place of women in society was altered profoundly because of her efforts.
So, no. Sanger should not be erased from Women’s History Month. Just stop sanitizing her. Tell the truth about her motives and deeds, and let people come to their own conclusions about her legacy.
Elizabeth Carter
Michael, I studied Sanger for a while. She was a mass murderer and is still lauded by many. She has had a terrible impact on the world.
The Population Control Agenda
Beyond Birth Control:
by Dr. Stan Monteith, M.D • September 1, 1997
Planned population control including genocide is a difficult concept for Americans to accept. Even though the U.S. government helps finance the Red Chinese program of forced abortion, sterilization and infanticide, and helps finance the United Nations “family planning program,” most people find it impossible to believe that such programs are really part of a larger plan to kill off large segments of the world’s population.
“How can you possibly believe that?” I am frequently asked. The answer is quite simple: I have read the writings of those who intend to depopulate large segments of the earth and I believe them. They have written of the necessity of reducing-by force if necessary-the world’s population.
Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood
Our tax money finances Planned Parenthood, an organization founded by Margaret Sanger. In Planned Parenthood’s 1985 Annual Report, its leaders proclaimed that they were, “Proud of our past, and planning for our future.”1
How could anyone claim to be proud of an organization when history records that its founder wrote of the necessity of “the extermination of ‘human weeds’…the ‘cessation of charity’…the segregation of ‘morons, misfits, and the maladjusted’ and…the sterilization of ‘genetically inferior races?'”2
During the 1930s Margaret Sanger published The Birth Control Review, in which she openly supported Nazi Germany’s “infanticide program” in the 1930s, and publicly championed Adolf Hitler’s goal of Aryan white supremacy. Prior to World War II she commissioned Nazi Ernst Rudin, director of the dreaded German medical experimentation programs, to serve as an advisor to her organization.
In Killer Angel, George Grant chronicled the life and writings of Margaret Sanger, including her plans for genetically engineering the human race. Margaret Sanger’s The Pivot of Civilization called for “the elimination of human weeds,” and the “cessation of charity” because it prolonged the lives of the unfit. She called for the segregation of the unfit and prohibiting them to reproduce.
In 1939, Margaret Sanger organized the Negro Project, designed to eliminate members of what she believed to be an “inferior race.” She justified her proposal because “the masses of Negroes… particularly in the South, still breed carelessly and disastrously, with the result that the increase among Negroes, even more than among whites, is from that portion of the population least intelligent and fit…”3
She then went on to reveal that she intended to “hire three or four colored ministers to travel to various black enclaves to propagandize for birth control…The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”4
As Margaret Sanger’s organization grew, she wrote of the necessity of targeting religious groups for destruction as well, believing that the “dysgenic races” should include “fundamentalists and Catholics” in addition to “blacks, Hispanics, [and] American Indians.”5 As the years passed, Sanger became increasingly obsessed with occult beliefs and hostile to Christianity and the American precept of individual freedom. Her distaste for America is evident in her writings:
“Birth control appeals to the advanced radical because it is calculated to undermine the authority of the Christian churches. I look forward to seeing humanity free someday of the tyranny of Christianity no less than Capitalism.”6
Just like Adolf Hitler, Margaret Sanger was a disciple of Theosophy and its founder, Madame Blavatsky. Both Sanger and Hitler were involved in a religion that worshipped Lucifer and were energized by the same dark, spiritual forces.
Lucis Trust is a prominent modern day representative of Theosophy, an extension of the Lucifer Publishing Company, which is also a United Nations NGO. Lucis Trust was founded by Alice A. Bailey during the early 20th century. Bailey was a disciple of Madame Blavatsky and nominal leader of the Theosophical Society in the early 1900s.
Because the name “Lucifer” had such a bad connotation, Bailey changed the name of her organization from the Lucifer Publishing Company to Lucis Trust. The nature and beliefs of this organization, however, have always remained the same.
Lucis Trust is one of the major front groups through which Theosophy influences life in America. Publications from Lucis Trust regularly refer to “The Plan” for humanity that has been established by “The Hierarchy.” Sanger’s disciples are alive and functioning today, influencing national and international population control policy.
David Graber, a research biologist with the National Park Service, was quoted in the Los Angeles Times Book Review Section, October 22, 1989, as saying, “Human happiness and certainly human fecundity are not as important as a wild and healthy planet. I know social scientists who remind me that people are part of nature, but it isn’t true…We have become a plague upon ourselves and upon the Earth…Until such time as homosapiens should decide to rejoin nature, some of us can only hope for the
right virus to come along.” 7
In The First Global Revolution, published by the Council of the Club of Rome, an international elitist organization, the authors note that, “In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine, and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention… The real enemy, then, is humanity itself.”8
On April 5, 1994 the Los Angeles Times quoted Cornell University Professor David Pimentel, speaking to the American Association for the Advancement of Science, saying that, “The total world population should be no more than 2 billion rather than the current 5.6 billion.”
In the UNESCO Courier of November 1991, Jacques Cousteau wrote, “The damage people cause to the planet is a function of demographics-it is equal to the degree of development. One American burdens the earth much more than twenty Bangladeshes… This is a terrible thing to say. In order to stabilize world population, we must eliminate 350,000 people per day. It is a horrible thing to say, but it’s just as bad not to say it.”9
In The Impact of Science on Society, Bertrand Russell said, “At present the population of the world is increasing…War so far has had no great effect on this increase… I do not pretend that birth control is the only way in which population can be kept from increasing. There are others…If a Black Death could be spread throughout the world once in every generation, survivors could procreate freely without making the world too full…the state of affairs might be somewhat unpleasant, but what of it? Really high-minded people are indifferent to suffering, especially that of others.”
Negative Population Growth Inc. of Teaneck, New Jersey recently circulated a letter stating their long-range goal: “We believe that our goal for the United States should be no more than 150 million; our size in 1950. For the world, we believe our goal should be a population of not more than two billion, its size shortly after the turn of the century.”10
This amount is impossible to achieve by means of normal attrition and birth control and there is sufficient evidence to indicate other plans are afoot.
More New Age Influence
Speaking at Gorbachev’s State of the World Forum in San Francisco in 1996, New Age writer and philosopher Dr. Sam Keen stated that there was strong agreement that religious institutions have to take a primary responsibility for the population explosion.
He went on to say that, “We must speak far more clearly about sexuality, contraception, about abortion, about values that control the population, because the ecological crisis, in short, is the population crisis. Cut the population by 90% and there aren’t enough people left to do a great deal of ecological damage.”
Dr. Keen’s remarks were met with applause from the assembled audience of New Age adherents, Socialists, Internationalists and occultists.
Next month, we’ll explore some specific cases of covert as well as blatant population control, including the link between abortions and breast cancer and what really happened during the Rwanda massacres.
‘It’s Appalling’: Mollie Hemingway Calls Out Corporate Media Spin On Biden’s Threats
MARCH 12, 2021 By Jordan Davidson
https://thefederalist.com/2021/03/12/hemingway-biden-was-ungracious-in-dark-threatening-speech/
“It’s appalling. The White House told reporters that they wanted them to say that this speech was uplifting and hopeful and so reporters did that or these propaganda outlets did that, when in fact it was anything but. It was remarkably ungracious, there was no mention of what the previous administration did. The only thing that has really worked in this entire coronavirus pandemic is developing the vaccine,” Hemingway continued.
She also noted that Biden traded gratitude for the previous administration’s efforts to facilitate and distribute a safe and effective COVID vaccine for threats.
“There were these threats that if you didn’t do what Joe Biden wanted, you might lock the country down again and then to pick Independence Day as the day where he says he might allow people to gather is just so un-American. And just, you know, Joe Biden doesn’t get to tell me when I can have a barbecue in my backyard, and certainly not to tie that to Independence Day,” Hemingway said. “It does feel like we’ve lost something as a country that so many people are willing to do this type of draconian restrictions from the government for this level of a problem. If they’re willing to do it for this situation for this length of time, it’s a very bad sign for the days to come.”
No trees? We have evergreens lining the property – cuts down on the snow drifts – and wind in the spring – trouble with evergreens is – they have a bad habit of leaning over – they do not have deep roots – which ruins the landscape – my neighbor had an aging evergreen that snapped and fell on one of mine on the outer rim – what a mess it made, too – long cleanup.
I love trees – in the summertime – they cut down the backyard blistering heat – it is like a tanning salon – just kidding – the backyard gets very hot from April to October – one could literally get a tan nearly year round – lol
Wonder how much the shanigans regarding certifying Mannis as a bona fide Republican play into this issue? Also, if you are in TN, please be in contact with your SEC members about the rules committee issues with Mannis as a prime example of what can go wrong. There is MUCH controversy behind the scense and the MAGA SEC members need support while the squishes and swampers need to be identified and defeated in their next election. Critical race theory (CRT) is a divisive, discriminatory ideology that judges people on the basis of their skin color. It has penetrated our society—it’s in federal agencies’ and federal contractors’ “bias training,” in school curricula and many corporations’ “diversity training.” Few are willing to speak out against it for fear of being labeled racists or white supremacists. Asian Americans, however, have emerged as a powerful voice against this pernicious ideology.
The Chinese American Citizens Alliance of Greater New York (CACAGNY) delivered the most vigorous rejection of CRT yet, calling it “a hateful, divisive, manipulative fraud.” CACAGNY is one of the oldest chapters of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance, which was founded in San Francisco in 1895 to respond to nationwide discrimination and violence against Chinese Americans. For more than a century, this organization has helped Asian Americans, especially Chinese Americans, to “quicken the spirit of American patriotism” and to “insure the legal rights of its members.” CACAGNY speaks out against CRT now because Asian Americans have experienced its harm firsthand.
According to CRT’s victimization ledger, all whites are oppressors, and all “people of color” are oppressed. CRT argues that unequal economic outcomes among different races in our society result from white power and white privilege. Asian Americans punch a big hole in that worldview. As a group, their economic achievement has surpassed that of all other racial groups, including whites. Last year’s Department of Labor statistics even showed that the median weekly earnings of Asian women surpassed white men’s earnings.
Values drive Asian Americans’ economic success. Many believe in education attainment, stable marriages, delayed gratification, hard work and meritocracy. CRT attacks all these as “white” values, and the people who practice them as acting “white.”
Because Asian Americans’ economic achievement and educational attainment resist CRT narratives, irritated activists have tried to eject Asian Americans from the “people of color” category. Last November, the North Thurston public school district in Washington state released an “equity report” in which it grouped white and Asian American students together, while placing everyone else in the “students of color” category. The school district only apologized after an outcry from the community’s Asian American families.
Even as victims of hate crimes, Asian Americans discredit CRT’s assertion that racial prejudice only goes one way—from white people to people of color.
I was pulled over for speeding about 10 yrs ago and I never even saw the officier’s face. Hands at 10 & 2 except when handing him my info which I had ready. We spoke but I looked straight ahead and he stood slightly to behind me. Very nice, just a warning and ended with a comment that he liked my bumper sticker (Trump 2016 during the primary). But I had Zero idea what he looked like. And I had no problems with him either. They have a tough job and our full cooperation makes it a little easier.
(I knew I was 5 miles over but turned out speed limit was 10 miles less than I realized so I was 15 miles over! But I had a clean record and was fully cooperative, etc., so thankfully, just a warning)
The long term shutdowns were pointless – they did not save lives from Covid19 but they did cost lives.
Excess deaths … from what? From gov overreach and shutdowns. The “cure” worse than the disease.
Why did we have excess deaths in 2020 and why will we have them in 2021?
Do not settle for the answer “covid19” as that is not a proper, full explanation.
I am putting together a list of organizations and news sources for my county GOP members. It seems like every member has The issue that the county GOP ought to focus on &/or be active in and no, we can’t do it all or even half.
We have our own mission statement, vision statement and purpose.
So, putting together resources on a variety of issues, conservative groups, issue based groups, variety of ways to be involved more deeply outside of (and hopefully in addition to as I wouldn’t want to loose all of my best volunteers!) the county GOP.
Examples include the blogs and news sources I shared already today as well as specific organizations such as TN Eagle Forum, TN Sentinals, TFA (TN Firearms Association), TN Stands (new as of last summer), etc.
Each org and each issue needs volunteers and then bring back the top news, calls to actions and events from the various specialties so that the general GOP membership has an idea of what is happening on all issues.
Might be helpful for other MAGA conservatives to put together such lists of resources for their own state/city/county/region. And if any other Tennesseans are reading this, helpful suggestions to add to the list appreciated!
A little hyperbolic, but definitely keeping a close eye on rising food prices.
Global Food Prices Rise for Ninth Straight Month
Rising food prices could exacerbate social and political unrest around the world
MARCH 11, 2021
https://www.morningbrew.com/daily/stories/2021/03/11/global-food-prices-rise-ninth-straight-month
comment image
In February, global food prices rose 2.4% for their ninth straight month of increases. While there’s never a good time for food to get more expensive, one year into a crushing pandemic definitely counts as worst-case.
Adjusted for inflation, prices are at their highest point since 2014. Cereals/grains, vegetable oil, and sugar have especially spiked in recent months (see the chart above from GZERO Media, whose geopolitics newsletter is a favorite among Brew writers).
Over the short-term, consumers in wealthier countries typically remain insulated from price increases. But if prices stay inflated, that Aldi receipt may start resembling a Whole Foods haul as companies pass down costs by raising prices, shrinking portions, and cutting back on promotions.
  • General Mills and Conagra, the parent of brands including Chef Boyardee, have floated price hikes for 2021.
Zoom out: The pandemic pushed an additional 13+ million Americans into food insecurity, but the situation is even worse in the world’s poorest countries. In the past, spikes in food prices have contributed to social unrest (think 2011’s Arab Spring).
Cuppa Covfefe
A trend we’re starting to see here is stores remodeling, with snazzier displays, etc., hiding the fact that they have a smaller selection than before, and lower inventory than before, almost as if they’re using JIT (just-in-time) inventory practices with food and non-foods.
ALDI, for instance, has applied enormous pressure to its suppliers, demanding120 percent of normal supplies (as compared to other stores) to be delivered by the various vendors (who have basically told them to take a long walk off a short pier). In spite of this, many items are either low in stock, or downright missing. Specials in their weekly flyer have flown off the shelves by Wednesday…
The latest trick was with the temporary reduction of VAT from 19 and 7 percent to 16 and 6 percent, respectively (the lower rate being for unprocessed food products). These lower rates ran from July to December of 2020, resulting in some very odd prices (not ending in 9, for once 🙂 ). As soon as January 1st rolled around, the prices went back up. But not by just 3 or 2 percent, but more like 10 percent. The stores probably figured we wouldn’t notice as we were busy applying our sheeple hard/soft ware (masks) resulting in low oxygen content in our bloodstream/brains…
Add to this the impossible-to-ignore push for the cult of Veganism… enforced compliance via vegetarianism and Soy products…
I found an answer to what American children read before Dr. Seuss: McGuffey Readers. Even more interesting, I learned that the cabal printed revised editions decades later without the author’s permission that toned down the Christian elements. I’m trying to track down the original 1836 edition online. The 1879 revised version is online, but I want to read the original. Will post a link here if I find it.
McGuffey established a reputation as a lecturer on moral and biblical subjects while he was teaching at Miami University…The series consisted of stories, poems, essays, and speeches. The advanced Readers contained excerpts from the works of well-regarded English and American writers and politicians such as Lord Byron, John Milton, and Daniel Webster.
McGuffey is remembered as a conservative theological teacher. He interpreted the goals of public schooling in terms of moral and spiritual education, and attempted to give schools a curriculum that would instill Presbyterian Calvinist beliefs and manners in their students. These goals were considered suitable for the relatively homogeneous America of the early- to mid-19th century, though they were less so for the increasingly pluralistic society that developed in the late 19th century and early 20th century.
The content of the readers changed drastically between McGuffey’s 1836-1837 edition and the 1879 edition. The revised Readers were compiled to meet the needs of national unity and the dream of an American melting pot for the world’s oppressed masses. The Calvinist values of salvation, righteousness, and piety were excluded from the later versions, though they had been prominent in the early Readers. The content of the books was secularized and replaced by middle-class civil religion, morality, and values. McGuffey’s name was featured on these revised editions, yet he neither contributed to them nor approved their content.
Quality books:
I have shared this link before but posting again in case helpful to someone who missed it earlier.
This dear lady put together some fantastic book lists, authors, series, and publishers. Sadly, she had an abusive husband and seems to have abandoned conservativism along with abandoning (deservedly) her abusive husband. Put her booklists are just fantastic.
This is a newer homeschool company and they are publishing excellent books at a great price. Some are original and some are reprints to which they add illustrations and artwork. (Also love their curriculum – lovely, quality and easy to use. Just wish I had found them when son was younger)
https://www.goodandbeautiful.com/library/
We have also enjoyed a number of books from here:
https://www.milestonebooks.com/list/Christian_Storybooks/
Find many of the same and some others here:
https://christianlight.org/shop-books/storybooks
(also love their curriculum as easy to use/low stress)
While I am sharing homeschool options … this website doesn’t have many books but does have quality curriculum at affordable prices (as do all of the above) and is easy to use. Low stress, ready to go curriculum is a must for me and I have learned the hardway to avoid the curriculum that are project based or too teacher intensive because
a) my health
b) son is a strong willed, independent child
Sometimes its good to remember that simple can still be good quality and sometimes these curriculum choices are deceptively easy – they seem so easy that one wonders if they are really learning but they are!
https://www.masterbooks.com/
I wish I could keep up with curriculum that is more complicated, like Winter’s Promise or Trail Guides, with more moving pieces, projects, art, cooking, etc. but I just can’t. 🙁 and we are happier when life is simplier … because it is never actually simple.
Another company I just love and use is:
A lot of folks in the homeschool community have done tremendous work finding and preserving older books and educational materials.
Not all, mind you – one of the effects of the surge in homeschooling is that shifting cultural sands are affecting the homeschool community and curricula. It’s not a huge problem seeing that choosing homeschool materials always requires discernment – but there are many parents who are not terribly discerning when it comes to what their children learn.
One of the problem areas is history curricula – where more parents don’t want “white-washed” history (apparently now we’re supposed to have a color-washed history). Or similarly, a lot of the curricula are being asked to release editions that while not explicitly secular do not present an emphasis on Christian themes.
I’m not making a judgement on these trends yet. If someone wants to woke homeschool their children frankly that’s their right. With massive growth comes opportunities as well as challenges.
Cuppa Covfefe
Exactly! My grandmother and her ancestors taught from the old ones (long, LOOONG ago). There was a Christian website (Tim Challies? Paul Proctor?) a while back that explored the different versions of them.
Seems Rockefeller and Fosdick and Mann (there’s that name again) didn’t want “Fundamentalists” (in reality, “normies”) trying to make the schools a safe place to learn.
Sadie Slays
In my earlier comments, I suspected that the original agenda behind Dr. Seuss was to remove pro-Christian, pro-America, pro-anything that would hurt the cabal elements from children’s literature. Apparently it was happening as early as the 1870s. I’m not sure why I’m surprised, but I am.
Karl Marx was influential – even corresponded with Abraham Lincoln.
MAGA Mom
I try to find old books for quality reading and for teaching. Ordered several history books, middle and high textbooks from 1920s. Even then one must be very careful as the curriculum was starting to be twisted at that time. They were introducing brand new ideas and explaining them. Not all curriculum but some curriculum was starting to be written and produced that was the early steps on the down hill road to socialism. And very intentional.
Interesting to read them and yet sad as I know the slippery slope they were on.
Cuppa Covfefe
Considering what the presstitutes did to Lincoln back in the day, I’m not too surprised. I suspect it’s been going on since the Garden of Eden… Even discoverthenetworks.org has a profusion of articles about CRT and “wokeness”…
Item Name:             DVD – History of American Education: From Harvard Scholars to Worker-Bees
Category:                   Cutting Edge
Item Number:             WOP-04-DVD
Price:                          $19.99
In this eye-opening video, based on Psalm 78 and Judges 2:10, you will learn about America’s first school, first school law, first school text book, first teachers’ union, and their Christian foundations. Try to pass a first grade test from New England Primer and Webster’s Blue-Backed Speller. Discover classic McGuffey Readers and Webster’s 1828 Dictionary. See Americans’ first law-books, Blackstone’s Commentaries on Law, that used Bible verses for footnotes.
See what caused the radical turning point of the ‘Dumbing down of education’ by two left-wing socialists, Horace Mann and John Dewey, in the mid 1800’s and early 1900’s. You will be shocked by ‘Prayer Police’ in our schools, a textbook with a ‘Witch License Application,’ and a tenth grade English assignment on ‘How to kill your best friend’ plus the myth of ‘Separation of Church and State’. Discover the horrifying agenda of the National Education Association, Kinsey Institute, S.I.E.C.U.S., and also the homosexual agenda to teach preschoolers the ‘ABC’s of being gay’ and first graders’ ‘Gay-Ed for Tots’.
See how the gradual infiltration of secular humanism, values clarification, situation ethics, alternative lifestyles, progressive education, and behavior modification led to well orchestrated take-over of our schools.
See an 18 page letter to Hillary Clinton on how to take over our schools Marxist-Lenist style. Understand the real role of ‘Goals 2000′ and ‘School-To-Work’. Learn how U.N. ‘World Core Curriculum’ and its philosophy came from a ‘demon spirit guide’ through a channeler named Annie Besant.
(Two full hours)
They have a lot of more information about attacks on our culture and Christianity in general. Some of the articles are dated, and others might be considered “out there”, but all-in-all the site has a lot of info. Good articles on the Klintoons, for instance, dating back to the early 1990s…
And a great article from invisibleserfscollar.com (Robin Eubanks)
Promulgating a Personality Manipulating System However One Regards Cries of Structural White Supremacy
http://invisibleserfscollar.com/
An excerpt (hopefully not too long):
That’s where ISC comes in as usual using my quite literally huge library of materials, which I mine to put things into perspective. The category White Supremacy is an example of an idea being used in the same twofold process first described in a Dutch book by Fred Polak from the 1950s called The Image of the Future. It won lots of European awards and fellowships for its author, including one at the inaugural program of the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS) in 1954-55. Polak became close friends with the same Kenneth Boulding (see tag) who would create the systems science vision of education and helped found the social science-oriented General Systems Research Group that same year with fellows at CASBS. Kenneth’s wife Elise taught herself Dutch in order to be able to translate and abridge Polak’s book into English. That’s what I am quoting from:
Man’s attempts to push back the frontier of the unknown…can be seen as a twofold process: the development of ideas concerning the ideal future as it ought to be, and the unfolding of the real future in history, partly as a result of man’s purposeful intervention…The relationship between conceptions of the time-dimension, the future, and the idealistic ethical objectives of mankind for that future, has been a neglected one and offers a fruitful field for research.
Well, it’s no longer neglected and has been a major source for behavioral science research of the kind laid out in my book Credentialed to Destroy and now on ISC where we cover the twists and turns of a new vision of education and student learning. Neither actually seeks a return to the past or a ‘classical time.’ Rather, this new vision seeks concepts and images that:
picture a radically different world in an Other time, and they are imaginatively shaped in a way that they can be applied on behalf of mankind…The more general theory of images may be thought of as ‘eidetics’. This concept, derived from the Greek eidelon, ‘image,’ has a long history…[Not] enough emphasis [has been put] on the significance of the time-dimension in the dynamics of image formation and image propagation…attention must be given to the dynamics of image formation, both in the public and private mind, and the function of images in the economy of the individual personality and the social, national, or cultural group.
What do images mean, how are the meanings transmitted, and how do they affect individual and social behavior? Under what conditions do images change, and why? What can accelerate or retard these changes? How amenable are they to purposeful manipulation, in both the short and the long run?
The answer to the last question is quite amenable to purposeful manipulation, which is precisely how we should start seeing the New York Times’ 1619 Project or Howard Zinn’s work as well. It’s not about history as a body of knowledge, where someone is erroneously changing the facts of the past. This is actually about how education, as a social science, is a tool to where “social science is increasingly making use of these images to increase its analytic power.” That analysis is only the beginning though as this later quote recognizes. The point is to “control social processes” and redirect them to what john a. powell [see tag] described in his 2012 book Racing to Justice: Transforming Our Conceptions of Self and Other to Build an Inclusive Society as the use of allegations of White Supremacy to change our categories of thinking to force “a renewed commitment by all of us to fulfill the promise of a truly democratic society.”
Letter from ACI’s Founder and Chairman, Dr. Ben Carson
When speaking to people across the country, one of the questions I am asked most these days is “why did you start American Cornerstone Institute?” It’s a question I love answering. America is the greatest country on earth, and it has been since its founding. It was founded on principles that have guided us through ups and downs; principles that have allowed our people to be resilient in the face of any challenges that were thrown at them.
But recently that has changed. Americans are moving away from the principles that made this country great in the first place. We need to get America back on track, and the best way to do that is to make everyone realize the importance of the cornerstone principles that made us into the country we are today.
Last week cancel culture took the news by storm. It began last Sunday when the United States Soccer Federation Athletes Council removed a member for speaking out against repealing a ban on kneeling during the national anthem. By mid week Dr. Suess found his way into the mob’s sights. Cancel culture is real; it is becoming a daily occurrence and it is scary. I joined Martha MacCallum recently on Fox News to discuss this disconcerting trend.
The American Cornerstone Institute will always promote policies that encourage freedom of thought, expression, and speech. It is time to cancel “cancel culture.”
Faith. Liberty. Community. Life. These are the cornerstones this country was founded on. These are the same cornerstones of the American Cornerstone Institute. As a country, we’ve moved away from those core values and we’ve seen the devastating effects of that as a culture. It’s time to get back to that. We are at a critical moment in our country.
ACI is a different kind of think tank. As my friend Glenn Beck said, it’s a ‘can-do’ tank. We will be taking our ideas to as many places as possible. To the halls of congress, to grassroots leaders, to communities, and to schools across the country. This will be a huge endeavor, and it will take a lot of work, but I’m confident in the American people, and I’m confident we will make a difference.
DANGER TO SOCIETY Mum decapitated by ‘demon’ cannibal daughter was still alive for the first 90 knife blows in desperate struggle for life
Two forensic psychiatrists told the New South Wales Supreme Court, Australia, the daughter was suffering from substantial impairment of the mind.
The court heard that the attack had been launched in a fit of rage to prevent being sent to hospital for psychiatric treatment after a series of acts, including threatening to “shred” the heads of strangers.
Camilleri used seven kitchen knives in the onslaught, four of which broke due to the force used, before severing her mum’s head and carrying it outside their home in St Clair and putting it on a footpath on July 19, 2019, where she was arrested covered in blood.
Land On Your Feet: 7 Great Career Choices For Laid-Off Journalists
March 12th, 2021
comment image
https://babylonbee.com/news/land-on-your-feet-7-great-career-choices-for-laid-off-journalists/
So, you’ve just been laid off as a journalist. Sad. Not good! But you need to buck up, because there are a lot of great career choices for you that can leverage your unique skills as a reporter and a destroyer of people’s lives.
Try your hand at one of these seven trades, and you’re sure to land on your feet in no time:
1. A programmer. We’re absolutely not telling you to learn to code, because that would be hate speech. But we might be suggesting you acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to develop and program software for computers and other electronic devices. MAYBE.
2. Learn to build solar panels. Sucks that your job got cut. But look at it as a positive: you can just pivot to building solar panels. Always gotta look on the bright side.
3. Official spokesperson for the Chinese government. You’ve got lots of experience in this already! China is probably hiring.
4. An essential worker. Do something actually essential for society, like driving for UberEats or DoorDash. You’ll contribute a lot more to society than ever before!
5. Just cut out the middle man and go mob people in their homes directly. You have a lot of experience doxxing people in hopes of riling up a mob to take them down. Why not get your hands dirty and just go attack people in their homes yourself? Cut out the middle man!
6. Take a gap year and search through old tweets for old time’s sake. You don’t need to jump right into a new career. Take your severance pay and spend a year looking for bad tweets people posted a decade ago just for old time’s sake.
7. Try your hand at writing hilarious satire. Your pieces in HuffPo already read like satire — why not just keep writing the exact same kind of pieces but label them as satire? As a parody of terrible woke journalism, it just might work!
Good luck — it can be brutal out there!
Biracial student fails Critical Race Theory class for refusing to confess his ‘white dominance,’ mom claims
The boy’s mother says the school has threatened to keep the high school senior from graduating
BRECK DUMAS March 11, 2021
https://www.theblaze.com/news/ready-biracial-student-fails-critical-race-theory-class-for-refusing-to-confess-his-white-dominance-mom-claims
A biracial high school senior is being threatened with not being able to graduate for failing a Critical Race Theory class at his school because he refused to confess to his “white dominance” as part of the course requirement, the boy’s mother claims.
Gabrielle Clark says that her son, William, was forced to take a mandatory “Sociology of Change” course at his school, Democracy Preparatory Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A crowdfunded profile of the situation posted by the Foundation Against Intolerance & Racism explains: “In the class, William, along with all the students, was asked to publicly reveal his race, gender, religious, and sexual identities, and then attach derogatory labels to those identities. Students were then asked to ‘undo and unlearn’ their “beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that stem from oppression.”
“William was understandably reluctant to label himself as ‘privileged’ or an ‘oppressor,'” the profile goes on to say, adding that “while William is the only student in the class who appears to be white — he has light skin and green eyes — he is, in fact, mixed race.”
William was given a failing grade in the course, and his mother filed a lawsuit against the school in December to protest the curriculum of the Critical Race Theory class and to seek damages after the school allegedly threatened to not allow William to graduate.
The lawsuit states that the Clarks are seeking “monetary damages, including compensatory and punitive damages, for the damage done to William Clark’s future academic and professional prospects, and for the Defendants’ deliberate and protracted harassment, emotional abuse, and violation of Plaintiffs’ Constitutional Rights.”
Crowdfunding for William Clark:
https://www.fairforall.org/fundraiser-for-gabrielle-clark/
William Clark is a senior at Democracy Prep, a public charter school in Las Vegas, Nevada. William is mixed race. He lives with his mother, who is biracial. William’s father died when he was young.
By any normal standard, William Clark is not privileged. Quite the opposite.
But apparently that’s not how his school sees it.
Last year, William took a mandatory, yearlong class for all Democracy Prep seniors called Sociology of Change. In the class, William, along with all the students, was asked to publicly reveal his race, gender, religious, and sexual identities, and then attach derogatory labels to those identities. Students were then asked to “undo and unlearn” their “beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that stem from oppression.”
William was understandably reluctant to label himself as “privileged” or an “oppressor.” And while William is the only student in the class who appears to be white — he has light skin and green eyes —  he is, in fact, mixed race.
William objected to the mandatory class exercises and was punished with a failing grade.
William and his mother, Gabrielle Clark, filed suit in the Federal District Court of Nevada against Public Charter School Democracy Prep et al., claiming the school violated William’s First Amendment rights by “repeatedly compelling his speech involving intimate matters of race, gender, sexuality and religion.” It further argues that the school created a “psychologically abusive” and a “hostile educational environment.”
William and Gabrielle’s case will proceed to an expedited evidentiary hearing and trial, tentatively scheduled for April. This is a landmark case against Critical Race Theory (CRT) curriculum, which forces students to categorize and label their racial, religious, and sexual identities with derogatory labels and asks students to affirm beliefs contrary to their personal conscience.
The Clarks need your help.
pgroup2
They also need help from ACLJ.
Abbott Targets Free Speech Platform
The Texas governor’s crosshairs are now focused on a free speech competitor of Big Tech.
By Robert Montoya | March 11, 2021
https://texasscorecard.com/state/abbott-targets-free-speech-platform/
During the Big Tech purge of 2021 when social media sites banned a slew of non-leftist voices, including President Donald Trump, citizens fled to smaller competitors such as Gab, which Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is now targeting.
In a Wednesday evening Twitter video, with State Reps. Craig Goldman (R–Fort Worth) and Phil King (R–Weatherford) on either side of him, Abbott claimed Big Tech competitor Gab was “antisemitic” and that such companies “have no place in Texas and certainly do not represent Texas values.”
He offered no evidence to back up his claim against Gab. He also praised legislation from Goldman and King “that fights antisemitism in Texas.”
“I’m not on Gab a lot but I wouldn’t consider the platform as ‘anti Semitic’ …and I’m a Jew,” a citizen named Lisa replied to Abbott’s tweet. “Stop this nonsense.”
Gab recently skyrocketed in popularity, claiming more than 2 million new users in January after Twitter permanently banned then-President Trump and Amazon, Apple, and Google teamed up to shut down conservative social media app Parler.
Abbott’s attack on the free speech platform contradicts his words from last week when he defended free speech and berated Facebook and Twitter for their censorship.
“They are choosing which viewpoints are going to be allowed to be presented,” Abbott said at the time. “Texas is taking a stand against Big Tech political censorship: We’re not going to allow it in the Lone Star State.”
The TASB Two-Step
What to Know: The Texas Association of School Boards is awash in public money. According to TransparencyUSA.org, TASB is one of the chief taxpayer-funded organizations hiring lobbyists in Texas. Not surprisingly, TASB argues that school boards should continue spending tax dollars on lobby groups and calls the possibility of a ban “bad for local taxpayers.”
The TPPF Take: The fox is guarding the hen house. TASB and other taxpayer-funded groups aren’t watching out for taxpayers so much as they’re protecting their bottom line.
“Texans expect their tax dollars to be spent on potholes and police, not on lobby groups that argue for higher taxes, more spending, and bigger government,” says TPPF’s James Quintero. “Groups that hire registered lobbyists at taxpayer expense, like TASB, are promoting a false narrative. It’s wrong and must not go unchallenged.”
. . .
They’re Burning Your Money: Taxpayer-Funded Lobbying
Chances are you wouldn’t torch your cash. Oddly enough, that’s exactly what happens when local governments pay high-priced lobbyists to advocate for higher taxes, more spending, and greater regulatory authority. It’s wrong to ask taxpayers to fund lobbying activities that go against their interests and it needs to stop.
Via Supermarket News – slide show collection with detailed COVID news items affecting the grocery industry in the past year:
A year of COVID-19: As pandemic overwhelmed the nation, the grocery industry faced up to the challenge
Russell Redman, Michael Browne | Mar 12, 2021
https://www.supermarketnews.com/coronavirus/year-covid-19-pandemic-overwhelmed-nation-grocery-industry-faced-challenge
One year after the coronavirus was deemed a national emergency and lockdowns began, SN takes a chronological look at how grocery retail was impacted and responded
Beginning in January 2020, word began to slowly spread in the United States of a mysterious and deadly virus in Wuhan, China, that was threatening to extend to other parts of the world. It didn’t take long — within a month, the coronavirus had reached Europe and the United States and its tragic toll was beginning to be felt. On Feb. 6, the first American died from COVID-19 in Santa Clara County, Calif.
It was the beginning of a devastating pandemic that would eventually take more than 500,000 American lives and sicken nearly 30 million people in the country. The impact on all Americans was swift and staggering — as the pandemic was deemed a national emergency by the White House on March 13, schools and businesses were closed, lockdowns and social distancing guidelines were implemented throughout the country and health care workers faced a crisis of staggering proportions.
Amid all this chaos and tragedy, the grocery business found itself in a challenging position. While most businesses and restaurants were closing in the spring, supermarkets — as essential businesses — stayed open to keep the country fed and supplied, and quickly turned their focus to safety, adding measures to protect workers and customers, while struggling with supply chain issues, panic buying by the public and a labor shortage caused by the increased demand for workers to clean stores, stock shelves, care for customers and, increasingly, to fulfill online orders, which became a huge part of their business virtually overnight.
As we look back on one year of COVID-19 in the United States, Supermarket News offers a timeline of key events throughout the pandemic — and more specifically, critical moments showing the impact and response of the food retail industry — to offer a sense of how the crisis developed and how Supermarket News covered the major issues relating to the pandemic.
TX HB 3 is an attempt to provide legal justification for Gov. Abbott’s COVID orders, enacting bad law that takes power from the people.
Via Texans For Fiscal Responsibility:
Yesterday HB 3 by State Rep. Dustin Burrows (R-Lubbock) was heard in the Texas House Committee on State Affairs.The committee spent a good amount of time listening to concerns grassroots activists had on the bill.
  • John Smithee (R-Amarillo) gives Burrows a lesson on the unconstitutional nature of HB3.
  • Eddie Lucio (D-Brownsville) admits that democrats are rejoicing at the removal of the mask mandate.
  • Donna Howard (D-Austin) tells Burrows she did not have one call in support of his bill out of hundreds she received.
Chairman West’s Testimony Against HB 3 to the Texas House State Affairs Committee
POSTED 3.11.2021 – by RPT Staff
comment image
Austin, TX, Release: March 11, 2021 For Immediate Release
Below is Chairman West’s testimony to the Texas House State Affairs Committee, where he argues against HB 3. Our Chairman stands against executive overreach and abuse, and the Texas GOP stands with him. We cannot allow our liberties to be stolen by any executor or government official.
Chairman West’s Testimony:
“Chairman Paddie and Members of the Texas House State Affairs Committee,
I am deeply humbled and honored to appear before you today. I rise before you to speak against HB 3. In a previous life, I once sat in a position as you as a legislator, a congressional representative. I understand the legislative process and I also understand the rule of law, the Constitution, which my life has been dedicated to supporting and defending.
HB 3 will codify unconstitutional actions by an executive into law. No emergency is grounds for the suspension of the rule of law. And no executive — at any level of government — is above the rule of law. HB 3 will elevate the state executive over the rule of law and make orders, mandates, decrees, and edicts equal to law. HB 3 relegates the legislative branch irrelevant and no longer a co-equal branch of government. Only the legislative branch has the enumerated power to make or amend the law.
As well, there should not be any designated ‘committee’ that is empowered to speak above the collective legislative body to adjudicate executive powers.
Once there was a piece of legislation signed into law called the Patriot Act, which included the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court. In response to the terrorist attack of 9-11, that seemed a great endeavor. However, we have seen how the power of the FISA court has been abused. The Texas legislature should be assessing how to curb executive overreach and power, not enable it, nor abdicate their constitutional duty.
I humbly ask the Texas House State Affairs Committee to vote down HB 3 and partner to develop companion legislation to Texas State Senator Brian Birdwell’s, which ensures no Texas State executive, current or future, can define an emergency and suspend our rule of law, and individual rights, freedoms, and liberty.”
Humbly submitted,
Lieutenant Colonel Allen B. West (US Army, Retired)
Member, 112th US Congress
Chairman, Republican Party of Texas
Twitter using Section 230 immunity as defense in *****-**** case
Sued for not responding to complaints of videos on platform
Bob Unruh By Bob Unruh
Published March 12, 2021 at 4:43pm
A lawsuit in federal court in California alleges Twitter allowed *****-**** videos and images to remain on its platform after receiving complaints, because the posts didn’t “violate policies.”
The social-media behemoth is trying to get out of the case entirely by relying on the immunity from libel litigation it is afforded from Section 230 of the federal Communications Decency Act, reports the Red State Nation blog.
The law grants social-media platforms immunity because they are regarded as neutral platforms for the flow of information rather than publishers. However, many Congress members argue, Twitter essentially has acted as an editor by censoring or flagging as “false” certain controversial viewpoints.
Twitter allegedly refused requests to remove the ************ content, including of a 13-year-old who was tricked into sharing explicit videos and then blackmailed with them. The videos eventually were removed after an agent of the Department of Homeland Security intervened.
Texas AG Vows to Fight Democrats’ Federal Takeover of Elections
“Should it become law, I will use every possible resource to protect our elections, state sovereignty, and the rights of all Texans.”
By Erin Anderson | March 11, 2021
https://texasscorecard.com/federal/texas-ag-vows-to-fight-democrats-federal-takeover-of-elections/
Texas is vowing to fight a federal takeover of state elections being pushed by Democrats in a massive anti-election integrity bill now moving through Congress. The bill would seize power from state legislatures to set their own election laws and lock in voting rules that created chaos in 2020.
H.R. 1—a top Democrat priority that seeks to transform how American elections are run by mandating a left-wing wish list of lax voting processes—passed the U.S. House on March 3, with all Republicans and one Democrat voting no.
“As a matter of election administration policy, it is difficult to imagine a legislative proposal more threatening to election integrity and voter confidence,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and 19 other Republican state attorneys general said in a letter to U.S. House and Senate leaders following the bill’s passage.
The state officials also say H.R. 1—labeled by Democrats as the For the People Act of 2021—includes “several Constitutional deficiencies and alarming mandates that, if passed, would federalize state elections and impose burdensome costs and regulations on state and local officials.”
“Congress is not acting as a check, but is instead overreaching by seizing the role of principal election regulator,” the letter adds.
“This Act fails to live up to its name. It does not empower the people; it places them and their local leaders directly under the thumb of the federal government,” Paxton said in a statement:
Our Founding Fathers intentionally excluded Congress and gave state legislatures the authority to run state elections. Instead, this Act flips the Constitutional script and empowers the federal government to act as the election regulator for states. The Act opens elections in every state to widespread fraud, mixed messaging, Constitutional violations, and shuttering of speech.
“Should it become law, I will use every possible resource to protect our elections, state sovereignty, and the rights of all Texans,” Paxton added.
Texas Bill Opens Up Loophole on Biden: The Border Wall Might Get Built After All
By Jack Cowhick
Published March 11, 2021 at 6:27pm
https://www.westernjournal.com/texas-bill-opens-loophole-biden-border-wall-might-get-built/
Texas state Rep. Bryan Slaton filed a bill in the Texas House of Representatives on March 4 aimed at creating a fund to pay for “border security enhancement projects.” As an Op-Ed from The Blaze’s Daniel Horowitz explained, it could even lead to the construction of the border wall in certain states.
Slaton’s bill would use state funds to complete the border wall in Texas and would require the governor to seek reimbursement from the federal government. In short, if the bill passes in the Texas legislature, the state would be able to construct a border wall system along its southern border using money from the Biden administration.
The bill would also strengthen Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s existing push for border security, reinforcing “Operation Lone Star” which launched this week and deployed National Guard and Border Patrol agents to protect the southern border against incoming drug cartels.
So, some notes on firing up the Raspberry Pi 400.
The provided micro SD is a standard SanDisk Edge 16G A1 Class 10. I’ll be dropping a fast 32G in tomorrow with Ubuntu MATE. Taking a peek at the SD on a different computer, it appears that it is the NOOBS software from 8/20/20 — there have been a number of updates since. Since I don’t intend to run this much and am trying to show how to get a pi going, we’ll just go with what came in the computer.
Made sure I had video and stuff all connected correctly (and NO INTERNET yet) Booted right up, dumped me in the custom GUI. If you click on the Bluetooth logo, you can turn the Bluetooth off.
Section 1 — “Where am I?”
Using the standard menu, under preferences, I select Raspi-config — then tab over to localisation. I change the country from the UK to US, the time zone form Europe to US (Pacific), the keyboard from En(UK) to En(US), and the wireless standards from UK to US. After this, I go back to the first tab and disable the splash and the autologin and change the computer name. All pi computers initially think they are named “raspberrypi”, and have a user “pi” with a password “raspberry”. All the computers here have two letter names, with the name written with a Sharpie on the top and side of the network jack for pi’s. Because this computer has more extended space, I decide to name it “MN”.
*reboot*
Section 2 — “Who am I?”
As previously noted, all pi’s initially have the same user and password. We’re going to change that. All the users for this computer will have a username that goes “mn###”, where the #’s are numbers. Just like you’d expect a CPA to do, I have a little form where I can say what computer this is, what the username is, and what the password is, then what special circumstances may apply. I could, for instance have user “mn123” which is for a young kid to run educational software; and a different user “mn625” for running everyday tasks, and a user “mn222” for maintenance. It helps to have that form at hand going forward.
First, we have to drop into a CLI (Command Line Interface) window. It’s one of the choices in the title bar, looks like a little blackboard. It’s also sometimes called “Terminal”. Type the command “sudo adduser mn222” and follow the prompts for password and such (I generally leave things like name and telephone number blank). The “sudo” part of that essentially asks the computer to let you run this task as if you were “root”, a user with the ability to run anything. If you tried typing the command without, you’d get some variant of “Permission denied.”
You next type “groups” to find out what groups you (as “pi”) are in. There are about 15. You will next use the command “sudo usermod -a -G group1,group2,group3 mn222″ — and this is where you get to experience Linux. If you forget the “-a”, you will not add the user to these groups, you will replace any groups the user is in with these groups. If you do not use -G, it may modify the given user in other ways. The output of groups was group names separated by spaces, but you must separate the groupnames with commas in this command — and if you put comma-space, it will think the thing after the space is the user to be modified. You can add as many groups at a time as you’d like — I did ’em in two batches — but you only want to add as many as you are comfortable proofreading.
*reboot*
Log in as your new user. We’re now going to kill off the user “pi”. First, we’re going to run “sudo usermod -L -e1 pi” (locks the account and expires it), then “chage -l pi” (which expires his password before Linux existed), and then we’ll use the nano editor “sudo nano /etc/passwd”: scroll down to pi, and replace “/bin/bash” with “/usr/sbin/nologin”. You hit CTL-X to exit, Y to save buffer, and return to accept /etc/passwd. This last bit makes it so that pi, if he were to get operating on the system, wouldn’t get a nice prompt to respond to.
Section 3 — Operating safely.
Log in and get to the GUI, and open a terminal window. You next want to do four things as quickly as possible — they’re the equivalent of running from the pool to the locker room after your swim suit fell off. *plug in the network cable* and wait for the network indicator next to bluetooth to stabilize; type “sudo apt update” in your terminal and let it do its thing; type “sudo apt install ufw” and let it do its thing; and type “sudo ufw enable” and let it do its thing. When it says “Firewall is active and enabled on system startup”, the rush is over.
As you might guess, ufw is “Uncomplicated Fire Wall” and handles policy regarding the internet. Its default policy is “this computer can initiate communications, but will ignore all communications from outside that are not part of an existing conversation.”
With a new name, a new password, and an operating firewall, you now have a working pi.
