MATTHEW 11:25-30

25At that time Jesus declared, “I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes; 26yea, Father, for such was thy gracious will. 27All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and any one to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Still alive and well, knock on wood! Making big progress on the biggest of my wifely tasks. I miss commenting greatly. Hoping to return a.s.a.p.

Thank you for these awesome dailies, DePat. My deepest appreciation!

Interesting about the Danchenko case. I think it may be possible that the FBI asked Danchenko the bad question about “talking” to someone (to whom he had written) in order to cover up the latter. FBI wanted a “no”, and they got one by artful questioning.

“M&M’s adds new purple candy character to represent ‘acceptance and inclusivity’ ”

_________

Those poor little purple political hostages.

I send the purple ones back with a rejection note demanding emancipation and reassignment to a normal M&M color.

TheseTruths

I think it’s kind of funny because people are just going to eat them. Most people won’t have a clue what the purple ones are supposed to represent. “Oh look, a new color!”

slowcreekno

Looks like they have the rainbow selection now. Or if they are considered to be color coded, now #7 has been added. The similarity to vintage polyester capacitors remains strong…

I remember when the blue ones came, that the light brown ones went away, so there was still only 6 different colors. There might have been manufacturing reasons for that, that only 6 different ones at the same time are supported. So which one will go away this time?

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Only plain m&ms had the tan color. Peanut m&ms never did (unless that’s something from 1956 that went away before 1970 or something like that).

I can’t imagine them ditching brown, but I can’t imagine them breaking the almost-complete rainbow either. So I’m guessing this color will be in addition to.

Is it a lavender or a dark purple? None of the other colors are “pale” so for consistency it should be a darker purple (not as dark as plum though).

Ah yes, the tantalum capacitors look even more similar to the candy.

As for selenium, that is a smelly element — even the pills I have here for mineral supplements give that whiff, like a (thankfully, quite strongly) attenuated version of the magic smoke from a late rectifier.

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/10/big-lie-constantly-refer-actually-big-lie-reverse-president-trump-releases-statement-cnn-lawsuit-come/

This afternoon it was announced that President Trump was suing CNN for $475 million in damages for the manner that they reported on President Trump and his followers, the largest political base in US history.

This evening, President Trump released a statement where he shared why he was suing CNN and why other entities and the Jan 6 Commission may be next. [emphasis added]

“A lawsuit was filed today against CNN, the once prestigious news channel that has devolved into a purveyor of disinformation, defamation, and Fake News, at a level which the American Public, and indeed the World, will not even believe is possible. For years I have watched this take place, often in disbelief, but the time has finally come to hold CNN responsible and legally accountable for their willful deception and defamatory statements made about me and both, directly and indirectly, my strong, devoted, and patriotic supporters—People who love the United States of America, but have been treated very unfairly, at so many levels. “The Big Lie” that they constantly refer to is actually “The Big Lie” in reverse. They know that, and it will be proven in Court!

“In the coming weeks and months we will also be filing lawsuits against a large number of other Fake News Media Companies for their lies, defamation, and wrongdoing, including as it pertains to “The Big Lie,” that they used so often in reference to their disinformation attack on Presidential Election of 2020.

“Likewise, we may bring appropriate action against the Unselect Committee of January 6thbecause, notwithstanding overwhelming evidence, they REFUSED to investigate the massive Presidential Election Fraud which took place, but only investigate and harass the people and Patriots who complained and asked questions about it. The rigging and stealing of our Presidential Election was perhaps The Crime Of The Century, and look at what is happening to our Country now!

“The Unselect Committee has refused to acknowledge, as was done by the Biden Inspector General at the Department of Defense, and others, that days ahead of January 6th, I recommended and authorized thousands of troops to be deployed to ensure that there was peace, safety, and security at the Capitol and throughout the Country. That offer of National Guard was rejected by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and Mayor Bowser of Washington, D.C.—the law requires their request, they failed to make one, and in turn failed the Country.

“I am proud to file today’s lawsuit in order to begin the process of standing up to Fake News and the Mainstream Media.”

I hope it will be allowed to proceed. He certainly should have standing.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

If a judge throws this one out, I will once again make the case that judges are getting told by Dodge and FIB that the “coup” was legalized by Roberts and FISC, and that the recipients have to stand down on any Trump countermoves.

scott467

Why would FibDoj telling a judge anything matter?

The judicial branch doesn’t take orders from the executive branch agencies, the branches of government (judicial, legislative and executive) were created as checks and balances against each other.

And if one branch tries to strong arm another branch, they don’t usually take having their independence or authority tread upon by others lightly.

In other words, FibDoj can tell a judge whatever they want, and the judge can tell FibDoj to go take a flying leap.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

That’s certainly the way it’s supposed to be.

Gail Combs

AHHHHhhh but the FISA Court Judge APPOINTED BY HEAD Supreme Court Justice Roberts is the one telling inferior courts to stand down.

TradeBait2

This ^^^

Pecking order. If the chief justice is compromised, DODGE and FIB can indeed tell the judiciary what to do.

Roberts is a Bush appointee. Clinton’s and Bush’s are in league with one another. Go back in time to arrive at today.

scott467

“Pecking order. If the chief justice is compromised, DODGE and FIB can indeed tell the judiciary what to do.”

__________

Sure, they can tell them to do whatever they want.

But why would anyone listen?

If Roberts tells the judges to ignore the Law, why would they do it?

If Roberts tells the judges to violate the Constitution, why would they do it?

If Roberts tells the judges to murder someone, why would they do it?

If Roberts tells the judges to order a slice of lemon with their tea, why would they do it?

Everything always comes down to a question of Authority.

It’s the same question I ask about every suspected false doctrine, i.e., by what Authority do you do these things?

And they can either point to book, chapter and verse in the Bible, or they can’t.

And if they can’t, then I know (and they know) that the thing they are doing is by the authority of Man, and not by the Authority of God.

And if it is by the authority of Man and not God, then not only can it be safely ignored — it must be.

Because the Word of God is the highest Authority there is, or ever can be.

For any judge at matters of Law, the Constitution is the highest Authority there is or ever can be.

Way above Pope Robert’s head.

So Roberts can lie prostrate on the alter of Baal if he wants to, but why would any other judge in America follow his example?

He’s not their highest Authority.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

True. Sadly, most judges fear Fake Federal Normal more than Real Constitutional Duty.

Valerie Curren

Excellent…as per usual! 😀

scott467

Thank you Valerie! 😁

Valerie Curren

YW 😇

scott467

edit / correction: “Way above Pope Robert’s Roberts’ head.”

edit / correction: “So Roberts can lie prostrate on the alter altar of Baal if he wants to,”

Two mistakes in two consecutive sentences… 🙄 😁

Cuppa Covfefe

Moreover Roberts is compromised, and therefore pwned by the Deep State…

scott467

“AHHHHhhh but the FISA Court Judge APPOINTED BY HEAD Supreme Court Justice Roberts is the one telling inferior courts to stand down.”

_______________

So if court jester Roberts tells a judge, any judge, to ignore or violate the Constitution, to violate the rule of law, does any judge who at least graduated from Kindergarten then do whatever court jester Roberts says?

Or do they do what the Constitution says?

Is Roberts a higher authority than the Constitution?

I don’t get it.

If Roberts tells a judge to murder someone, will they do it?

Is Roberts the brain, and all the judges in the land are just the automatons?

We act as if human beings are dominoes, and if one specific action takes place, all the dominoes fall after it in a precise and predictable fashion.

That might be true some of the time, but even if it was true most of the time, it will never true all of the time.

And there are too many people (there must be tens of thousands of judges in America) for all of them to have forgotten law school and everything they ever learned about the Constitution and the rule of law and three independent and co-equal branches of government acting as checks and balances to prevent exactly what court jester Roberts is suspected of doing.

So how does it happen?

scott467

Every judge in America has known this stuff since they were kids watching Schoolhouse Rock on Saturday morning.

.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

“…does any judge who at least graduated from Kindergarten…”

We know they graduated Kindergarten, otherwise they wouldn’t have had to go to law school to unlearn what they learned in kindergarten.

Gail Combs

  :wpds_lol: :wpds_lol: :wpds_lol:

scott467

By what authority would self-coronated king Roberts ‘legalize’ a treasonous act (coup)?

That would have to be at least one of the first 50 questions any law school graduate pretending at being a judge would have to ask.

Even Ivy League graduate judges know that the judicial branch doesn’t make law, the legislative branch does.

And the legislative branch can’t pass a secret, treasonous and unconstitutional law, because even if they had the chutzpah to try, it would only take one out of thousands of judges to blow it out of the water and expose the coup.

If I was a judge and any craphead from FibDoj told me I had to do anything, I would have him escorted out of the building and thrown out on the street.

After I called local news to show up with TV cameras, so I could tell the local news what these federal criminals just tried to do, as they’re being thrown to the floor like Brian by the Womans.

.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Isn’t that Bwian by the Womans?

scott467

Yes, thank you for the correction 👍😁

WSB

Assuming ethical behavior, eh?

scott467

“Assuming ethical behavior, eh?”

____________

Assuming unethical behavior for the most part, but

Due to the massive numbers of judges nationwide, they can’t ALL be corrupt.

And it only takes one in any series of cases / appeals to throw a wrench in an otherwise rigged-from-start-to-finish scheme.

And you could never keep something like this secret, if the chief injustice of the (not)supreme court had given orders to judges to violate the Constitution or observe some secret law that necessarily violates the Constitution.

Judges talk to other judges, and anything that juicy would tear through the grapevine like someone who ate bad seafood making a run for the border.

Judges who are not corrupt would naturally find themselves in league with other like-minded judges, the same as the dirty judges find themselves in cahoots with other dirty judges.

Everyone would be forced to choose sides, and even if most were dirty, it would only take a relatively small percentage of united ‘good’ judges to throw monkey wrenches in all kinds of schemes.

While everyone on both sides tries to keep the whole thing ‘secret’, as it spirals out of control.

The number of people involved seems to make the whole prospect unviable.

.

[edit: WP says “unviable” isn’t correct, but WP is wrong 😁]

Because a power failure discombobulated my router, I got a new one. As I’ve been configuring the new one (and dealing with dropouts and weird behavior from the old), I’ve also been getting a boatload of emails from Sylvia’s blog and Marica’s — despite NOT checking the “send emails” boxes (which means that “emails won’t be disclosed” is a lie — sending an email to an email addy through public infrastructure is a disclosure).

I have a bunch of deadlines and responsibilities in the next few months, and my bandwidth for things is extremely limited. I’m seriously considering routing those blogs and their emails to /dev/null.

I like the people at each blog and those who run each blog very much, but I feel like I’m hanging out with them in their email garbage can.

cthulhu

I should note that this blog sent an email or two before Wolf quashed it — my understanding was that people were about a million-to-one against doing emails.

pgroup2

That’s like not voting – you have no say, voluntarily. Ergo, nothing to whine about.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Every comment in WordPress has the “profile” used to input it, including the email address. That information is not lost in WordPress. This is why registration is just a technicality – a way of picking a stable identity so that the admins can block spoofing (quite ironic). But unless you are subscribed to the blog (or a user’s comments via the wpDiscuz or wpForo plugins), then you should not be getting email notifications.

If you have accidentally subscribed to these blogs, hopefully you can unsubscribe or turn off notifications.

In another more remote possibility, you may be getting spoofed by the feds or another player. Why? I believe someone is scamming Marica. I don’t have permission from her to tell you what she told me privately, but what she told me makes me think somebody could be scamming her. Perhaps you can get her to tell you what she told me. I believe it’s very possibly a scam to get information. I can explain if she gives me permission.

I am ashamed to be so blunt, but this blog’s sister blogs are not manned by a Holocaust survivor-trained paranoid, so they are security risks, IMHO. I do not comment off this site for that reason.

cthulhu

They are great peeps and I love ’em to pieces, but you should see my inbox!!!

And, yes, I’d believe it is spoofing.

The email addy used is theoretically unconnected with both my birth name and nic, but when it gets a hundred emails reacting to a “cthulhu” comment, that “theoretically” gets pretty threadbare.

I’m even looking at opening a new email (at Proton Mail?) and discarding this one.

Thank you for the understanding, but it’s going to have to fit in the shuffle.

I have a pressing need for surgery that lies beyond a bureaucratic tussle; I have to file 2021 taxes; I have to renew my CPA license in NC and CA; my Driver’s License expires this year (and the CA DL form wants to re-register my vote, which would happen within the period when my voter registration needs to be stable); I need to re-plumb the internal internet so it is not full of fail; when my chair collapsed (with me in it), the Fiancee randomly distributed the contents of my to-do pile across the room; I have a final inventory of my burglary that I need to get to relevant places (even after abandoning the insurance claim).

I’ve done some slicing and dicing — I did the CA DMV today so I can still vote and drive. I abandoned the insurance claim to stop the clock. I’m making progress on re-plumbing my internal internet and anticipate being done tomorrow. I’m about to route certain blogs to /dev/null. I’ve scheduled lab work on Friday, so I’ll be Xanax’d out that afternoon.

But, yeah, I’ll probably be rejiggering emails sometime soon.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.

AMEN.

http://www.theburningplatform.com/2022/10/04/batshit-crazy-ecohealth-alliance-and-peter-daszak-just-got-a-new-federal-grant-to-research-coronaviruses/
by Alex Berenson

Short summary by Yours Truly: It appears that Peter Daszak and his EcoHealth Alliance are still getting NIH money to “research” coronaviruses. The newest grant, of $3.3 Million, is for “coronavirus research on bats” in Myannar (formerly Burma), Laos, and Vietnam. Berenson wonders why Daszak is still getting federal money, “unless the NIH is hoping” that EcoHealth Alliance will “somehow” find “a plausible precursor to Sars-CoV-2 — thus solving the mystery of the virus’s origins and putting that naughty lab leak theory to bed” of the virus.

Yours Truly: The intertwined relationship between Peter Daszak / EcoHealth Alliance and NIH / NIAID / Anthony Fauci has been going on for a long time. NIH / NIAID / Fauci funded EcoHealth Alliance’s connection to the Wuhan Institute of Virology regarding “research” into bat coronaviruses. Once this connection was finally uncovered in 2020, Congress passed a bill that terminated the funding relationship.
HOWEVER, in 2019, possibly because Daszak and Fauci saw the writing on the wall about the WIV funding, Daszak created a new subgroup of EcoHealth Alliance, CREID (Centers for Research in Emerging Infectious Diseases), which would concentrate “research” on coronaviruses and the like in Southeast Asian countries. This new subgroup then started getting federal research grants.
In other words, it appears that Daszak / EcoHealth Alliance “changed the name of the brand” but kept getting federal research grants after they (and NIH / NIAID / Fauci) were caught having funded the creation of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) via the Wuhan lab.
However, IMO, this newest $3.3 Million federal grant to EcoHealth Alliance may have, can it be posited, a “hidden agenda” — not so much to “finally” discover the origins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus — but to “discover” what may be called “SARS-CoV-3.”

It;s not just Arthurian legend; the Britons were the original inhabitants of the British Isles, before the Saxons began to invade. They are the original Celts.

Their King was Vortigern.

The Picts are also an ancient original tribe of Britain, who lived in the far North. They were the early inhabitants of modern Scotland.

After the Romans pulled out in the 5th century, the Anglo-Saxons started to move in. My earliest “Scottish” ancestor is a guy named Thor! Doesn’t sound very Scottish, does it?

Anglo-Saxon culture is not the original culture of Britain. Maybe someday Arthur will show up and take it back.

From the article, bolding mine:

Micki Larson-Olson, 53, of Abilene, Texas, was found guilty by a jury on Sept. 29, 2022, of unlawful entry onto public property, a District of Columbia offense. She was sentenced today by the Honorable Michael O’Keefe to a 180-day jail term.

According to the government’s evidence, on the afternoon of Jan. 6, 2021, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the west side of the Capitol to assist the U.S. Capitol Police in clearing individuals from the grounds. The officers remained there for hours, clearing an enormous crowd illegally gathered on the grounds. At approximately 5:15 p.m., officers were clearing individuals from the scaffolding on the west side of the Capitol. They approached Larson-Olson, who was dressed in a Captain America costume and holding two flags in the air. Officers repeatedly asked her to leave. She refused, lowering herself down and holding onto the scaffolding with her arms and legs, actively resisting the officers’ orders. During the incident, she swore at officers and called them “traitors.” It took six officers who were forced to physically carry her from the scaffolding area as she screamed at and fought them.

Six months in jail seems like an excessive sentence, but if this account is true, this woman was acting like the worst stereotype of a “right-wing extremist.”

FOOD FOR THOUGHT FROM THE BLOG – H/T ONELASTSTAND

AFTER THE ACCESSION OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLICS TO RUSSIA, NATO FINDS ITSELF IN A DILEMMA — RT EN 3 Oct 2022 20:02 By Scott Knight

By pouring tens of billions of dollars worth of military aid into Ukraine, NATO intended to create “game-changing momentum” with the goal of throwing Russia off balance. However, by holding referendums in Kherson, Zaporozhye, Donetsk and Lugansk to reintegrate these regions into the Russian Federation, Russia has given the game a whole new dynamic of its own.

The ancient Greeks spoke of lemma as representing a logical premise, a matter of fact. This was in contrast to a dilemma or “double premise” where one was faced with an either-or choice. The Romans further developed this philosophy by referring to the “double premise” as referring to the argumentum cornutum, the “horned argument”, where by answering one argument an individual is impaled by the logic of the second. There lie the ancient roots of the modern idiom “horns of dilemma”.

This, for example, is the ultimate goal of maneuver warfare: to position one’s forces in such a way that the enemy is not presented with a good option – should they nevertheless have to react to an urgent threat, they would be overwhelmed by the other threat.

The Russian military operation in Ukraine, which has been going on for more than seven months, has provided numerous examples in which the armed forces of both sides have been faced with situations that have forced them to change their preferred tactics. The Russian diversionary maneuver towards Kyiv at the start of the military operation prevented the Ukrainians from strengthening their forces in eastern Ukraine, while the recently completed Ukrainian counter-offensive at Kharkov forced a hasty Russian withdrawal from a significant part of previously occupied Ukrainian territory.

In both examples, one side was presented with a lemma, a single problem that needed to be acted upon. But neither side was able to drive the opponent “on the horns of a dilemma” and force a response that would have resulted in immediate impaling regardless of the option chosen. The reason for this is simple: very seldom do competent military commanders allow themselves to be faced with a military problem for which there is no viable answer. War, it seems, is hard work and dilemmas don’t come out of the trees.

Or maybe yes? Since Boris Johnson flew to Kyiv last April to persuade Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to pull out of peace talks with Russia, NATO has launched a program. This program aims to provide Ukraine with tens of billions of dollars in military equipment and financial support. This also includes the transfer of modern heavy weapons and the use of facilities on western soil where tens of thousands of Ukrainian troops can be trained and organized without fear of Russian intervention.

The purpose behind infusing arms into Ukraine was to enable Kyiv not only to prolong the conflict but also to enable offensive military operations aimed at driving Russia out of those areas that View Kyiv and its supporters as occupied Ukrainian territory, including Donbass and Crimea. The counter-offensive in Kharkov in early September underscored the grave consequences of NATO’s actions. Although the Kharkov victory has the character of a Pyrrhic victory given the massive loss of life and materiel suffered by the invading Ukrainian forces, it was nonetheless a Ukrainian victory – and one that forced a Russian retreat.

By transforming the Ukrainian army into a Ukrainian-manned NATO army, the US-led alliance had actually turned the game from a simple “Russia versus Ukraine military operation” to a “Russia fighting the collective West” in which the originally military resources provided by Moscow for the fight were no longer sufficient.
Point win for Ukraine/NATO.

However, Russia did not simply endure NATO’s “groundbreaking momentum”. In response to the new reality on the ground in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin chose not to simply up the ante in this new NATO-led game, but to completely change the game plan. Not only did he order the partial mobilization of some 300,000 reservists to reinforce the troops currently deployed in the military operation. Putin also authorized referendums in the four areas where Russian forces are currently fighting – Kherson and Zaporozhye, and Donetsk and Lugansk, which have been de facto independent since 2014. In these referendums, the citizens of these four territories were asked a simple question: do you want to be part of the Russian Federation, yes or no?

The referendums lasted five days, and in the end the results were unequivocal in all four territories – the participants in the referendums overwhelmingly voted for reintegration into the Russian Federation, which they did shortly afterwards. Territories of the former Ukraine have again become territories of Mother Russia.

So Russia has not only changed the rules of the game – it has changed the game itself. Henceforth, instead of Ukrainian forces fighting Russian forces on Ukraine’s territory, any future combat by Ukraine against Russian forces will constitute an attack on the Russian heartland itself.

Where does that leave NATO? The leadership of the alliance has made it clear from day one that it will not seek direct confrontation with Russia, while individual members have pumped tens of billions of dollars worth of materials into Ukraine and provided vital logistical and intelligence support. But Brussels has repeatedly and emphatically stated that it has no desire to wage a direct war with Russia and has made it clear that it would rather see Ukraine as a de facto NATO proxy in the resistance against Russia.

In assisting Ukraine, NATO has gone all out, both economically and politically, to the extent that some of its members, having emptied their own armies of equipment and materiel, simply have nothing left to give. Despite this, European political and business elites continue to express their strong support for Ukraine.

However, this support was based on the basic assumption that by providing this massive support to Ukraine, NATO would not directly engage in a conflict with Moscow. But Russia has changed the game plan, shifting the battlefield from a battlefield on Ukrainian soil to a battlefield on its own soil, where it is now defending its own territory.

NATO, so committed to Ukraine, is now “on the horns of a dilemma” – if it continues to provide massive material and financial support to Ukraine, it will effectively become a party to this conflict, something that no one in the world can imagine Alliance wants. However, if NATO pulls away from supporting Ukraine, the various Western political leaders and institutions who have made supporting Kyiv a sacred obligation will be seen as breaching their word.

How NATO will proceed remains to be seen, but there are signs it will not pursue supporting Ukraine at all costs. The lukewarm speech by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, in which he condemned Russia for the referendums while showing no enthusiasm for Ukraine’s “accelerated application” for membership of the alliance, is an indication of a less-than-firm stance in support for Kyiv.

The role of NATO is now also being weakened by the consequences of the Russian mobilization and the referendums. In a few years, when the history of the conflict is finally written, President Putin’s decision to simultaneously mobilize Russian reserves and at the same time to incorporate the territory of southern and eastern Ukraine into the Russian Federation will serve as one of the most important examples in modern history how to drive an opponent “on the horns of a dilemma”. The effective neutralization of NATO by this action will most likely be seen as a turning point in the conflict that sealed Ukraine’s fate in the face of an inevitable Russian victory.

https://chiefio.wordpress.com/2022/09/30/less-than-an-hour-the-world-changes/

He writes:

It is my opinion that we’ve seen a regular pattern / tactic from Russia. A 2 line of defense structure, leave the front thin and ready to rapidly retreat, then when Ukraine launches and offensive, fall back (creating a salient / pocket) and at the 2nd hard line, start shelling the Ukrainians like crazy. Thus the leveraged kill ratio.

Basically trade low value land (temporarily…) for an opportunity to destroy a lot of men and material when the Ukrainians attack over muddy terrain.

Russia, IMHO, knows to wait for frozen ground to launch their Winter War.

At least, that’s what it looks like to me. I’m certain reality will be different as surprises always happen in battle.

I agree with that; the feints then quick retreats (and shell like hell) are not defeats, rather they are TACTICS.

And, like Wile E. Coyote, Zelensky gets fooled by the same tactics time and time and time again, goaded by hubris and (porentially intentional) bad advice from his puppeteers… gotta get that money laundered somehow, with the requisite cut for “the big guy”…..

Short summary by Yours Truly: This is Hopkins’ description of the “morning after” for millions upon millions of people who followed along with the COVID-19 disaster, got “vaccinated”, tamely stayed home for months under lockdowns, and are now starting to realize the damage. Hopkins posits that very many of these people, however, are now conditioned to do whatever they’re told to do and/or are “psy-opted” into doing. Hopkins uses the example of the Canadian actress, Jennifer Gibson, who contracted Bell’s Palsy after being “vaccinated.” Gibson declares that she’d “do it again” (get “vaccinated”) so she “can see people.” [Problem is, there’s no cure for Bell’s Palsy, no drugs to help it, and in some cases, it is permanent. Gibson likely won’t know for months whether or not her case is permanent.]

By contrast, I think Citizens United was decided correctly, and most campaign finance laws are the problem (e.g. “What is a ‘Super Pac’?”)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Super PAC – Ballotpedia

A super PAC is a political committee that can solicit and spend unlimited sums of money. A super PAC cannot contribute directly to a politician or political party, but it can spend independently to campaign for or against political figures. These committees are also called independent expenditure-only committees.

Unlike super PACs, traditional PACs have a $5,000 per person cap on donations and cannot accept money from corporations or unions. On the other hand, regular PACs may contribute directly to a politician or political party, whereas super PACs are limited to spending independently of such campaigns.[5]

Super PACs are also exempt from requirements to immediately report funding sources.[9]

So the only restriction is it can not give money DIRECTLY to the candidate. HOWEVER a corporation/union/NGO can literally spend MILLIONS to get a specific candidate elected. (Think George Soros installing DAs and Judges)

What did our founders think of Corporations? Well aside from dumping the tea of the British East Indies Corporation into the Boston Harbor…

Boston Tea Party | Facts, Summary, & Significance | Britannica

Boston Tea Party, (December 16, 1773), incident in which 342 chests of tea belonging to the British East India Company were thrown from ships into Boston Harbor by American patriots disguised as Mohawk Indians. The Americans were protesting both a tax on tea (taxation without representation) and the perceived monopoly of the East India Company.

What The Founding Fathers Thought About Corporations

…After the nation’s founding, corporations were granted charters by the state as they are today. Unlike today, however, corporations were only permitted to exist 20 or 30 years and could only deal in one commodity, could not hold stock in other companies, and their property holdings were limited to what they needed to accomplish their business goals. And perhaps the most important facet of all this is that most states in the early days of the nation had laws on the books that made any political contribution by corporations a criminal offense. When you think about it, the regulations imposed on corporations in the early days of America were far harsher than they are now….

In an 1802 letter to Secretary of State Albert Gallatin, Jefferson said,

[QUOTE]

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them (around the banks), will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”

[UNQUOTE]

John Adams also had an opinion.

[QUOTE]

“Banks have done more injury to the religion, morality, tranquility, prosperity, and even wealth of the nation than they can have done or ever will do good.”

[UNQUOTE]

Abraham Lincoln — one of our great presidents, though not one of the founding fathers, said:

[QUOTE]

“The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace and conspire against it in times of adversity. The banking powers are more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, more selfish than bureaucracy. They denounce as public enemies all who question their methods or throw light upon their crimes. I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me and the bankers in the rear. Of the two, the one at my rear is my greatest foe.”

[UNQUOTE]

And in a November 21, 1864 letter to Col. William F. Elkins, Lincoln wrote,

[QUOTE]

“We may congratulate ourselves that this cruel war is nearing its end. It has cost a vast amount of treasure and blood … It has indeed been a trying hour for the Republic; but I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. As a result of war, corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands, and the Republic is destroyed. I feel at this moment more anxiety for the safety of my country than ever before, even in the midst of war. God grant that my suspicions may prove groundless.”

[UNQUOTE]

President Grover Cleveland witnessed how corporations treated its labor force and had this to say in 1888,

[QUOTE]

“As we view the achievements of aggregated capital, we discover the existence of trusts, combinations, and monopolies, while the citizen is struggling far in the rear, or is trampled beneath an iron heel. Corporations, which should be the carefully restrained creatures of the law and the servants of the people, are fast becoming the people’s masters.”

[UNQUOTE]

Founding Fathers Spinning In Their Graves As SCOTUS Rules That Corporations Are People Too

….However, no matter how the 5-4 majority of Supreme Court Justices wish to parse it, the Court has, this very day, destroyed the true nature of the corporate entity—a legal fiction created by government with no capacity to possess feelings, beliefs, emotions, etc. while existing solely as a piece of paper filed away in a drawer in the Secretary of State’s office in each of our 50 states.

If you doubt that this is the reality of what a corporation was intended to be versus how today’s Supreme Court decision—coupled with their Citizens United ruling — has “morphed” the nature of an American corporation…

why should it occur to the Founders that a corporation might ever be perceived as one of “the people”?

Yet, today that is precisely what has become the case. A corporation now not only enjoys many of the same protections as a person under our law but is crafted to remove obligations a person would ordinarily have but for the shield of the corporate entity such as personal liability for a corporation’s bad behavior….

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

So let’s look at what the Supremes actually wrote:

SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES
Syllabus CITIZENS UNITED v. FEDERAL ELECTION COMMISSION APPEAL FROM THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA No. 08–205.

Argued March 24, 2009—Reargued September 9, 2009–– Decided January 21, 2010

…..2. Austin is overruled, and thus provides no basis for allowing the Government to limit corporate independent expenditures. Hence, §441b’s restrictions on such expenditures are invalid and cannot be applied to Hillary. Given this conclusion, the part of McConnell that upheld BCRA §203’s extension of §441b’s restrictions on independent corporate expenditures is also overruled. Pp. 20–51. (a) Although the First Amendment provides that “Congress shall make no law . . . abridging the freedom of speech,” §441b’s prohibition on corporate independent expenditures is an outright ban on speech, backed by criminal sanctions. It is a ban notwithstanding the fact that a PAC created by a corporation can still speak, for a PAC is a separate association from the corporation. Because speech is an essential mechanism of democracy—it is the means to hold officials accountable to the people—political speech must prevail against laws that would suppress it by design or inadvertence. Laws burdening such speech are subject to strict scrutiny, which requires the Government to prove that the restriction “furthers a compelling interest and is narrowly tailored to achieve that interest.” WRTL, 551 U. S., at 464. This language provides a sufficient framework for protecting the interests in this case. Premised on mistrust of governmental power, the First Amendment stands against attempts to disfavor certain subjects or viewpoints or to distinguish among different speakers, which may be a means to control content. The Government may also commit a constitutional wrong when by law it identifies certain preferred speakers. There is no basis for the proposition that, in the political speech context, the Government may impose restrictions on certain disfavored speakers. Both history and logic lead to this conclusion. Pp. 20–25. (b) The Court has recognized that the First Amendment applies to corporations, e.g., First Nat. Bank of Boston v. Bellotti, 435 U. S. 765, 778, n. 14, and extended this protection to the context of political speech, see, e.g., NAACP v. Button, 371 U. S. 415, 428–429……

The Court set up the strawman Corporation = Human Being by using the word ‘speaker’ and then argued that the Constition gave the right of free speech to Human Beings.

In closing, BARRING Corporations, Unions, NGOs… from campaign contributions and speech DOES NOT infringe on the free speech rights of the CEO, President or anyone else. What it does is PREVENT a corporation from TAKING MY MONEY and giving it to a candidate or party I DO NOT SUPPORT.

You want ‘EQUALITY’ then BAR Super Pacs and large donations and lobbying. Make DC answerable to the PEOPLE and NOT to corporations or NGOs.

Also remember that Lincoln was a RAILROAD attorney, and may have been placed in office for the business deal of a lifetime with the Trans-Continental Railroad… I understand that Ulysses Grant may have also been part of this business venture.

Will post the name of the book my friend just finished regarding the arrangement.

Mind you, I have no problem with corporate charters of fixed duration and limited scope. I merely have a firm bias against censorship in any form. Further, every “campaign finance” regulation that I’ve ever seen has effectively been an incumbent protection plan.

Gail Combs

I have a strong bias against Corporate-Government Governance.

As I said, the CEO and board of directors — AS INDIVIDUALS are not censored at all. Just a large non-human entity with lots of money and no loyalty to the USA.

Reported 18 hours ago that Sweden has sent a diving vessel to inspect the damaged pipeline. Am surprised that Russia wasn’t straight in there looking for forensic evidence, for sure there isn’t many countries that would not cover up anything detrimental to nato.

phoenixrising

Optics perhaps ?… I’ve read several places that RF already has proof …

litenmaus

If Russia provides data proving that the pipeline was purposely detonated, the West will tell the world that it’s propaganda…

Hence…Sweden being chosen to do an inspection.

My thought is, the Swede’s better come back with some very clear photos to support their findings on whether the pipes were imploded from outside sources or exploded from the inside by the gas in the pipes.

kalbokalbs

External explosion. Some may call it terrorism. Act of war, IMO.

Internal explosion. Not conclusive either way.

  1. Innocent screw up my maintenance weenies. IF that is technically feasible. I assume it is.
  2. IF 1 above is feasible. IC from whatever government, bribed maintenance weenies to blow up the pipelines.
  3. IF 2, then them maintenance weenies pushing up daisies.
para59r

4. Outside hackers. We know they all practice finding back doors into each others system’s infrastructures. After all we’ve seen tons of stories about it both being warned against and the actual fall out of such after happening for the last ten or more years.

The only thing that makes me lean toward 2 through 4 is the the story about the sudden drop in pressure the day prior (which do we really know if that was true or a planted story… not being true might lead me back to external.

Because of the timing of the event and pre threat warning by Biden and Nulan and the post statements by the Polish ex official along with Blinken, number 1 deserves to be canceled completely unless it comes with a bridge I can buy. 😁

I was hoping for identifiable bits of whatever weapon was used.
Only guessing, but don’t think bits would be flung as far as they would be in air.

It would be great if they could recover debris from the explosion. No idea what the current may have done to move debris. Wash away residue. Way above my pay grade to sort out.

WHOO-HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About damned time!

TheseTruths

Wow! It’s not about votes, just election workers’ data, but it’s a start. The arrest is by the LA County DA’s office concerning workers in their jurisdiction.

This investigation is concerned solely with the personal identifying information of election workers. In this case, the alleged conduct had no impact on the tabulation of votes and did not alter election results. But security in all aspects of any election is essential so that we all have full faith in the integrity of the election process.”

https://da.lacounty.gov/media/news/head-election-worker-management-company-arrested-connection-theft-personal-data

Aubergine

Yes, but it makes the FIB look like SHIT, AGAIN.

The federales had their shot at this, and not only passed, but turned it back on Engelbrecht and Phillips. They are a partisan political group, not investigators or law enforcement.

The FIB should be disbanded.

TheseTruths

Yes. This is just LA County. I imagine there are election workers in other counties and states whose data was stolen and sent to China. Where is the FIB?

Aubergine

Of course there are. It’s nationwide. But the feds don’t care. They care about carrying out their marching orders from the left. That’s it; that’s what they do.

Aubergine

Oh, and the LA County DA’s office website is down.

I’m sure something is happening with that.

And in the story is what has become a standard broiler plate response, no not the FBI backed away from the investigation part again, though there is that, the “and it did not alter the out come of the election” part.

We get that every time. Maybe it’s time to stack all those “it did not alter the outcome of the election” statements up and put them in a nice video so American’s can judge for themselves.

Seriously you think they might be getting a bit nervous always saying “it did not alter the outcome of the election”. Talk about excuses wearing thin. 😕🙄😵😠

Just got back from a Rt. 66 vacation which was supposed to end with a full week in Florida. Unfortunately, my wife and I got chased off of Clearwater Beach by hurricane Ian. God Bless those who lost everything.

On our way north on I-95 a week ago Monday—days prior to the storm making landfall —we saw several convoys of power line trucks heading south to help with the aftermath to come. The trucks and crews were staged and ready long before the storm hit.

Despite all of the blame DeSantis rhetoric…people had plenty of time to evacuate. We were sitting in a hotel in Charlotte long before Ian arrived.

para59r

Apparently some of the unique things that Desantis did in preparation for the hurricane was to provide every retirement home in the State with back up generators and he had on hand mobile cell towers that could be erected for areas where communications went down. I’m sure there was much more, but those slipped to my attention and are worth mentioning.

kalbokalbs

^^^ Good stuff. FL likely has a huge revenue surplus over the past several years AND should have been prepping.

But it reads like 101.

  • Generators are an obvious one for EVERYONE. Generators should be mandatory for retirement homes and the like.
  • Mobile cell towers should be standard stock in FEMA. Pre positioned. Since we can’t rely on Feds, FL, AL, GA, MS, TX, SC, NC should have their own stocks.
Barb Meier

Gov Desantis said they created an emergency fund for disasters and it has $500 million they are using to set up all the pre-planning and post-disaster things faster. They are using it to help Florida’s citizens. They’re paying for extra linemen to get them to the needed places, they are going to build temporary bridges to the islands so people can get to/from their properties. It’s a long list. They are setting up “one-stop-shops” where FEMA, the orgs, insurance, and even driver’s license replacements can be obtained there. They have distributed food, water, tarps to cover lost roofs, and much more. I applaud the Gov and his wife who are working with non-profits to use donations quickly to help when gov has too many hoops and takes too long.

kalbokalbs

Yup. Wasn’t trying to take away from DeSantis. Think the world of everything DeSantis has accomplished for FL. Not in the bash DeSantis camp.

Guvners (R-Cons and D-Rats alike), could learn from DeSantis, if they cared about their states.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

kalbokalbs

Good.

Gail Combs

I just talked to a lady who moved from FL to NC. She and her Hubby had gone down to FL in their mobile home for a Vaca and got chased out by Ian after three days.

So yes, people had plenty of time to leave. I spent a day re-arranging livestock and another making sure all the equipment was under cover and we had generators at the ready.

What Happened to Rep. Jim Jordan? What Is His Hesitancy with Big Tech?
Attorney Mike Davis shared on the War Room, the House’s efforts to pass three anti-censorship bills in the House that would have prevented Big Tech from censoring conservatives. After discussing the bills that were presented to the House, Davis shared what happened to the bills in the House.

There’s no reason that House Republicans should have opposed these bills. But only 39 House Republicans joined these bills because Congressman Jim Jordan whipped so hard against these bills and it is baffling to a lot of people that he’s doing this because he pretends like he is this champion against Big Tech when in fact he takes Big Tech money and his staff takes Big Tech trips.

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/10/happened-rep-jim-jordan-now-side-big-techs-censorship-conservatives/

Apparently Jordan supports McCarthy for Speaker.

scott467

Ouzo is what one of my friends in college who was a muslim drank, when he could get it. He drank beer too, but Ouzo was his favorite. It seemed that being muslim was more of a cultural thing than a religious thing for him. I wouldn’t have even known he was muslim, if he hadn’t mentioned it every now and then. He was glad to be in America, not anti-American at all.

This was several years before 9/11, before ISIS, before islam forever branded itself as the most evil and hateful murder-cult on the planet.

Back when if I encountered someone who was muslim, there was no instant negative association. I had no negative association at all with islam back then.

Hard to believe that was ever the case, considering all that has transpired since.

It’s sad, like so many things are now.

I hope my old friend is well.
