Dear KMAG: 20250303 Trump Won Three Times ❀ Open Topic

Joe Biden never won. This is our Real President – 45, 46, 47.

AND our beautiful REALFLOTUS.

This Stormwatch Monday Open Thread remains open – VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA/KAG/KMAG world (with KMAG being a bit of both).

And yes, it’s Monday…again.

But we WILL get through it!

We will always remember Wheatie,

Pray for Trump,

Yet have fun,

and HOLD ON when things get crazy!

We will follow the RULES of civility that Wheatie left for us:

Wheatie’s Rules:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

And while we engage in vigorous free speech, we will remember Wheatie’s advice on civility, non-violence, and site unity:

“We’re on the same side here so let’s not engage in friendly fire.”

“Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven that Wolf has created for us.”

If this site gets shut down, please remember various ways to get back in touch with the rest of the gang:

Our beloved country is under Occupation by hostile forces.

Daily outrage and epic phuckery abound.

We can give in to despair…or we can be defiant and fight back in any way that we can.

Joe Biden didn’t win.

And we will keep saying Joe Biden didn’t win until we get His Fraudulency out of our White House.

Wolfie’s Wheatie’s Word of the Week:

terrine

noun

  • earthenware jar or dish
  • a covered clay pot or mold
  • a traditional French dish
  • a loaf of forcemeat or aspic cooked in a terrine
  • a loaf-shaped, layered, savory dish of meat or fish and sometimes vegetables, cooked in a water bath and served cold

Used in a sentence

She cooked the terrine in an actual French terrine, this time, instead of the Pyrex dish she had always used before.

MUSIC!

OK, this is interesting – a mixture of Jefferson Airplane, epic music, and Matrix visuals.

Which led me to another…..

Which led me back to the original. Which seems very strange now.

THE STUFF

Why is AI being used to create fake stories about Elon Musk?

I find this sort of fake story to be much more annoying that AI country music.

OK – let’s wash that away with some reality – the study of “perfect” numbers! (I may have played this topic before, but whatever – let’s play it again!)

Six is a pretty cool number – but 28? And 496? And (2^82,589,933 – 1)?

Just sayin’!

And remember…….

Until victory, have faith!

And trust the big plan, too!

And as always….

ENJOY THE SHOW

So I made some chicken soup. I was cutting up the chicken and cooking it in a wok before dumping it in the Instant Pot. The first batch I used some turmeric and the chicken predictably turned out yellow. I thought that was funny, so I cooked the second batch with paprika and other chiles so it turned out red. Along with onion, bell pepper, carrots, wine, garlic, and herbs…..

So now everything’s orange……

cthulhu

When I tasted it, it was low in salt, so I gave it just a bit of soy sauce and it came out really tasty.

not any better, but I am a plain Jane type–no ketchup, mustard, salad dressing, etc. I like to taste the food.
but that’s a unique cake–good for April Fools Day!

WSB

pf, I create a freeform meatloaf, on a parchment topped foil covered sheet pan.

Ground beef or meatloaf combo (Beef, veal, pork)1-1 1/2 Lb)

Campbell’s French Onion Soup (half can)

Herbs, poultry seasoning, parsley, grated onion, garlic salt, pepper

1 Egg

1 Cup Bread crumbs, Italian

1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

1 cup each – grated Parmesan, Vermont Cheddar Cheese

Whisk egg and soup. Lightly fold all other ingredients together. Meatloaf will be tough if over-mixed. If too wet, add bread crumbs or more cheese.

I form it as a lozenge on the covered sheet pan. Heavily drizzle Ketchup over the entire top and sides. Streak with a fork all over, opposite direction.

Top with half slices of bacon…about six or so. Cover ends with bacon as well.

Bake at 350 until bacon is crispy. About 1 hour to 1:20. When the bacon is crispy, not burned, it’s done! Set for 5 to 10 minutes. Ketchup will have carmelized.

Absolutely wonderful Meatloaf!!!!

gil00

Thats a lot of meat.

TheseTruths

I’ve never eaten terrine, and I’m not sure I would want to. 😅

cthulhu

I could eat all sorts of things cooked in a terrine, but I’d be hesitant to eat a terrine no matter what it was cooked in.

TheseTruths

Yeah, I’ll take your orange chicken soup over terrine any day. 🍜

GA/FL

The collagen in a terrine might be good for old folks like me…same with other organ meats, if they came from safe sources.

I bought some Braunschweiger and ingredients to make a sandwich spread, but let it expire before I got up the courage, and the time with Sally care, to make it. I grew up eating liverwurst, so why not now?

We also ate deviled ham, Vienna sausages, creamed chipped beef on toast, but all that is out of fashion nowadays.

Valerie Curren

Creamed chipped beef on toast was part of my childhood too 🙂

Hope you & Sally are doing well. God Bless

bakocarl

In the ’50s, we had our creamed chipped beef for supper over mashed potatoes with peas on top. Still have it that way . . . not for breakfast.

Valerie Curren

Wow, I’ve never heard of that before. My mom thought she was getting fancy if she chopped up some hard boiled eggs into the sauce 😉

patfrederick

bakocarl

I’m halfway through a pound of Braunschweiger right now. It certainly won’t be the last.

Aubergine

Braunschweiger is actually pretty good. It’s like a poor man’s paté to me.

WSB

If you have eaten liverwurst, you would love a paté or terrine.

Paté is more spreadable. Terrine is more solid. Both meat.

Cuppa Covfefe

Is that anything like Colonel Lee’s Mongolian Barbeque on Castro Street in Mountain View? 🙂

Cuppa Covfefe

Years ago I used to go there, and put a couple of scoops of “Spicy, but not hot” oil on my meat and veggie bowl (before they fry it), and about eight or ten of their super-hot oil… 🔥

The person next in line, and the poor guy stir-frying it all got the full force of my “seasoning” whether they wanted it or not 😆 😂 😮

A few times my wife was the one behind me 🙂 But she didn’t complain (too much 🙂 )…..

They had a soft ice machine in the back with a cone dispenser like the one in Weird Al’s “I Love Rocky Road” …. helped to cool things down after all of that heat…

(there’s a few interesting cameos in there, too 🙂 )…..

Ivan Raiklin:

Breaking! On @joerogan, @elonmusk for the first time explains publicly why he has not yet released the “Mother of All Twitter Files” and the “Fauci Files”.

Basically, Musk says in a somewhat lighthearted way that if he pushes too hard he will be assassinated. I think he is dead serious, no pun intended.

The first thing he said is that the wealth acquired (I’m guessing by Congress) is not just from insider trading and that it’s much more than that. He says the insider trading is easy to trace.

I think there is going to be a BIG reveal. Just don’t know how they will stage it. GITMO bed count increases is not just for criminal illegals. I have my reasons for saying this, but this movie has been staged over a decade IMO. At any point in time it could get stalled or modified as we saw, but I truly believe now nothing can stop what is coming.

What a great time to be a Son or Daughter of Liberty!

I will just leave a couple comments on real things because I know the enemies already know. The Marine units have been quietly deployed to the Caribbean basin. Know that as fact. Remember the presser disaster of Barr/Milley in the first term. They told everybody what team they played on then unless devolution is true. The military has been deployed to the southern border. Homan has already told the world what will happen with the cartels, so Mehico is on notice. They better choose wisely because they will be caught in the middle of a pincer move from all sides now that we have a true ally in El Salvador who will be most happy to take the scum they capture for the money. Other central American nations such as Panama are getting back on board, which was needed to move naval assets east-west.

The big play has been Chyna for some time and that is underway big time. FAFO is the code word for all MAGA now.

And it feels good…

Aubergine

I think it is all about cleaning up the cartels. China, through Mexico, is killing Americans with fentanyl. And the biggest no-no you can do to Trump is kill an American. He’s made that perfectly clear, over and over again.

When it happens, it’ll be fast and comprehensive. The cartels have already been declared as terrorists. We’ll probably hear that various terrorist heads are dead and that x-number of their minions have been rounded up and taken to Guantanamo.

The Marines in the Caribbean, the troops at the border, and the government of El Salvador stand at the ready.

I guess we’ll see if I’m right.

kalbokalbs

Timing coincidence, I am sure… Same or preceding day

Cartel bank accounts mysteriously emptied. Bitcoin and the like, liquidated.

Aubergine

Interesting…

Homeland Security:

In a single month under @POTUS Trump and @Sec_Noem, we’ve arrested more than 20,000 illegal aliens. That’s an astounding 627% increase over the previous administration. We’re delivering on the President’s promise to the American people to carry out mass deportations, starting with the worst of the worst first.

https://twitter.com/DHSgov/status/1896273097335935234

patfrederick

it’s a great start!

Aubergine

Not enough. Not even close to enough.

I don’t mean to be a downer, but 48 months of 20,000 is not even a million.

Robert Baker

Maybe they need to measure border enforcement by a different measure. Perhaps comparing the human traffic entering Mexico or Canada versus the traffic entering the US. I think that might give an idea of the effectiveness of the self-deportation theory.

Aubergine

Good thought.

WSB

When do people self-deport when the money is cut off?

mollypitcher5

A problem with self deportation for millions that were bussed or flown into the country is the vast distance mileage wise to get home.
It was a psy op that these people walked for 2 or3 thousand miles from Ecuador or Guatamala or that Somalis, Kenyans, Chinese paid thousands of dollars for safe passage.

Here’s a short article about Somali Bantus being brought here.
https://www.unhcr.org/news/feature-somali-bantus-prepare-life-america

The first stage of the Bantus’ journey is a long, dusty three-day trip from Dadaab refugee camp, near the border with Somalia, across Kenya’s bandit-ridden north-eastern provinces to the sprawling Kakuma refugee camp close to Kenya’s far northern border with Sudan, where there are few other rival Somali groups. Overall, the 1,500-km trip takes about 30 hours. It is a huge logistics exercise costing somewhere between $500,000 and $800,000.

Each convoy carries between 250 and 300 passengers. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has provided nurses, wayside watering points and places for overnight stays and – in collaboration with the Kenyan authorities – taken a number of security precautions. About 30 police in their own vehicles travel with the convoy as it moves through some of the most dangerous zones.

“These are people who have never seen an aeroplane, so everything needs to be explained, from a boarding procedure to how the social security system works over there.”

Yes, there is another software update being pushed into the NPCs. After the «Nazi Musk» nonsense ran low on steam, this is apparently the next thing. The meeting in the White House between President Zelenskyy and President Trump and Vice-president Vance where Z. provided much of the drama, has had enough fallout to run the news for a while yet. Like the «Nazi Musk» thing, the reactions to this does really show who is wheat and who is chaff.

How has BOI worked out for us since 2021? I wonder what the REAL intention was.

Paging Cthulhu!

Last edited 1 month ago by MarieUrsula
Gudthots

The initial effect was demoralization of the small business owners that have stood their ground to stay in business through everything that marxism has thrown at them since ‘bama days.

MarieUrsula

I asked a lawyer I know who serves many individuals and small businesses: [C]an you briefly explain what the effects of BOI have been?

He replied: “‘Briefly’? No. There’s a lot about it in the news, if you’re interested, but it is a requirement for every business in the country essentially to register with the feds, even though virtually all businesses are organized under state laws.”

cthulhu

A good guess might be to increase the cost of compliance for small businesses and put them at a competitive disadvantage to larger businesses.

On the surface, it looks like it might be designed to help navigate the numerous shell corporations used by nefarious actors such as the Biden family to get their 10% kickbacks……but that wouldn’t be it.

MarieUrsula

That makes sense. Thanks, cthulhu! We’ll stay tuned.

cthulhu

Another guess would be to set owners up for Alinsky #13 attacks.

How about suspending the soy with the boi, get two stones with one bird 👍😁

Lots of good news (good cost-cutting) there.

There’s an update on this:

Federal employee retirements are processed using paper, by hand, in an old limestone minein Pennsylvania. 700+ mine workers operate 230 feet underground to process ~10,000 applications per month, which are stored in manila envelopes and cardboard boxes ….

OPM [Office of Personnel Management] has successfully executed the first ever fully digital retirement. The process took 2 days and more work is needed, but this is a great improvement from the current paper solution taking multiple months. Great job by the @USOPM team.

Last edited 1 month ago by TheseTruths

No more contributing to the delinquincy of a miner, as it were 🙂

Stunning to think that such antiquated processes are still in place. Then again, no-longer-great-Britain has us beat there (probably most of Europe, as well)…

Grants cancelled by the NIH:

-$1.7M for the “China Health and Retirement Longitudinal study” at Peking University in Beijing, China

-$135K for a research grant to China Medical University in Shenyang, China

-$142K for “using telehealth to improve access to gender-affirming care”

-$1.3M for “transforming health for gender-diverse young adults”

-$120K for “personalized 3-D avatar tool development” focused on “gender identities”

-$400K for researching “sources of minority stress and alcohol consumption” among “adults who report uncertainty about their sexual orientation”

-$160K for researching “racialized sexual discrimination” among “young sexual minority men of color”

-$241K for “an intervention to promote healthy relationships among transgender and gender expansive youth”

IMO we need perpetual oversight or this will start up again.

TradeBait2

It’s all intended for kickbacks.

GA/FL

We sure do need Perpetual Financial Oversight!

REPOST:

The longer DOGE is in operation, uncovering more heinous scams and fraud and abuse of the American Taxpayer – the more I want President Trump to eliminate USAID, CFPB, and the Department of Education and to establish a permanent new Department – The Federal Agency for Financial Oversight – FAFO

comment image

The FAFO agency will have to examine and approve expenditures – before they can be disbursed by the US Treasury!

FAFO will examine and approve and publish to the public:
-every Bill proposed by Congress before it can even be voted on.
-every program proposed by Congress
-every grant proposed by every agency
-every proposal for foreign aid
-every agency’s rent, expenditures, employee hiring, firing and productivity
-eliminate frivolous spending by Congress for such as naughty boy slut payoffs.
-every Budget must be balanced before it can be approved.

Curbing Congress’ largesse and spending power and fiscal transparency will be a good thing indeed for the financial future of the USA!

Every elected official should also have to submit a full financial report of personal and ‘other’ financial endeavors such as tax shelters, off-shore accounts, non-profits, etc. They should not be allowed to get money from lobbyists, foreign governments or other corporate interests and then vote to enrich those interests.

Corporations, such as pharmaceutical companies, food manufacturers should also have to report and get approval before donating money to federal agencies such as FDA, NIH, EPA to the FAFO.

On the surface this might seem to have a kind of Israel / Iran connection to it.
But with the current standoff re EU&UK versus US&RU over ukraine I’d wonder if MI5 and/or rogue CIA might have been involved in setting it up, using the ME as a cover.

NEW: Sen. Pete Ricketts says Elon Musk and DOGE found “stunning” waste like 37,000 software licenses for a government agency with 13,000 employees.
“Many of the licenses had never been used.”
“We got 2.4 million federal employees. We have 4.6 million credit cards out there. That just leads to opportunities for fraud.”
“He said there are 22 million people in our Social Security system that are clearly dead. These are the kinds of things that open it up to fraud.”
“Subscriptions that aren’t being used.”
“You have a contract officer who retired but didn’t turn off the faucet. The money was still going out. Most companies getting federal dollars probably don’t say anything.”

Perhaps the assessment of this mineral deal between Ukraine and the UK hangs on whether or nor the UK was granred exclusive mineral rights or merely access to the minerals. Ukraine is a big enough country to sell access to rare earth minerals to more than one buyer.

FTA: A private Norwegian fuel supplier Haltbakk Bunkers, has said after the way Zelensky was treated by Trump, they are cutting off all fuel for American Ships. The Norwegian government has disavowed that policy, assuring the United States this is not a government policy and that American ships will be refueled, contrary to the statement of Haltbakk Bunkers.
Meanwhile, since Zelensky has refused to accept any cease-fire, we should expect to see the fighting now escalate. Russia has now attacked a cargo ship, Swiss-owned MSC LEVANTE F, a Panama-flagged, with missiles to “sink” it after they received reliable information that the vessel carried British weapons to aid Ukraine that included drones and weaponry loaded in Turkey before being taken to the Ukrainian city of Odesa. This demonstrates that Zelensky’s refusal to accept any cease-fire warrants an escalation that will now target the Ukrainian supply line. This is a standard military tactic, and it is surprising that Russia has waited so long to take this step.

>>>> it is surprising that Russia has waited so long to take this step.

para59r

The first couple of years of the war saw much attack of Ukrainian infrastructure, then came the cluster bomb thing along with use of longer range missiles by both sides. The cluster bombs are still in play, but the missiles used in deep attack seem to have mostly gone away and the bulk of action appears to be contained to the line of contact at the front. The ship in the harbor seems to revive the deep attack concept. They’ll have to do more in this area to deter the EU from supplying Ukraine as well as putting boots on the ground.

kalbokalbs

MeThinks.

Russia has been holding back, hoping Trump can end this Ukraine fiasco.

However, IF Ukraine does not agree to US led peace talks, Russia is gonna seriously whup ass on Ukraine.

  • Broad based attacks across all fronts.
  • Daily, massive strikes on infrastructure.
  • >>> Ports and logistics nodes destroyed.

Have been posting that third bullet for prolly a year or more.

EU and UK will never put boots on the ground in Ukraine.

  • US will never support.
  • EU and UK to weak, to stand up to Russia.
Aubergine

This is what I think, too. Russia doesn’t want to destroy Ukraine, a lot of which is ethnically Russian.

EACH DAY WE TAKE UP THE OFFENSIVE WEAPON OF THE WORD OF GOD – THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT – ONE VERSE OPENS THE DOOR TO THE CONTEXT OF THE CHAPTER MESSAGE

Verse of the Day for Monday, March 3, 2025

“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.”

Proverbs 29:25 (KJV)

Pulpit Commentary

Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

Verse 25. – The fear of man bringeth a snare. He who, through fear of what man may do to him, think or say of him, does what he knows to be wrong, lets his moral cowardice lead him into sin, leaves duty undone, – such a man gets no real good from his weakness, outrages conscience, displeases God. See our Lord’s words (Matthew 10:28Mark 8:3; and comp. Isaiah 51:12, etc). Whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe (Proverbs 18:10). Such trust carries a man safe through all dangers; fearing to offend God, living as always under his eye, he feels Divine protection, and knows that whatever happens is for the best. The LXX. joins this to the preceding verse, thus: “He who shareth with a thief hateth his own soul; and if, when an oath is offered, they who hear it give, no information, they fearing and reverencing men, are overthrown, but he that trusteth in the Lord shall rejoice.” They add another rendering of the last verse, “Ungodliness causeth a man to stumble, but he who trusts in the Lord (ἐπὶ τῷ δεσπότῃ 2 Peter 2:1) shall be saved.” Δεσπότης is used for Jehovah in the New Testament, e.g., Luke 2:2Acts 4:2.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

CALM MY SPIRIT – OH, MY LORD

Help me understand, Lord
What I cannot comprehend
Help me to draw inward
With what You recommend

Reason defies what we cannot see
How could this have happened
How did this have even come to be
That which has truly saddened

We cannot imagine the turmoil
That can live inside of man
The pain that can embroil
Over time it does expand

The pain it is enormous
Unruly and untamed
The situation is abnormous
No relief for the ashamed

It begins with just a sadness
A bad feeling comes about
Then grows to sheer madness
Though one may not act-out

The solemness it comes rearing
The seriousness of the claim
The ship has lost its steering
Internally comes the blame

It is not what you or I did
That created the disdain
The blame would God forbid
So from the guilt refrain

Lord Jesus healed the sick
Banished demons from the man
But no one saw the uptick
Or from where it all began

The pressure to be best
We can ever possibly be
Comes from the worldly test
That we can ever barely see

By what worldly standard
Do we step up to the plate
By what are we pandered
What drew us to the debate

We cannot know of things unseen
If not brought into the open
To what dimension we have been
Or from words that were unspoken

Though we try to make sense of it
We cannot and often fail
Only God knows the pretense of it
Obviously beyond the pale

Only God knows the why and wherefore
It is not ours to discern
So we go to the thus and therefore
We must let go of the concern

When a loved one leaves us
No matter what the cause
It truly can bereave us
Give us a time to pause

Our hearts are surely broken
What appears beyond repair
The words we left unspoken
Of those we are most aware

Calm My Spirit – Oh, My Lord
Give me peace inside of me
Help me to look only forward
Find sweet comfort unto Thee

Help me Lord to carry on
Way beyond the current day
For You are the bright new dawn
The Life, the Truth, the Way!

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE ABSENT FOR ANY REASON – WE JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW WE ARE PRAYING FOR YOU !!!

MISSING YOU

The family is quiet
I really know not why
There has been no real riot
Nothing that meets the eye

We were flourishing and strong
Even with the stress of each day
Then suddenly something went wrong
And we have somehow lost our way

Something has gone adrift
And split our family apart
There was a sudden shift
An attack on every heart

Some say life has gotten in the way
Too many distractions they bear
Some say away they must stay
And take solace away in prayer

Some are dealing with pain
Of the physical and the mental
From interaction they abstain
Thus with all we must be gentle

With whatever you are dealing
We will keep you in prayer
That God provide the healing
Be comforted and aware

If you have a problem with another
Let it not fester inside
Ask God for help with sister/brother
Let peace in your heart abide

Forgiveness is a blessing
Like no other that I know
It’s power to relieve the stressing
The hurt and pain it will slow

Please check in and let us know
You are okay and just fine
Let us hear and see you glow
Let your light for us it shine

Pray and then pray again
For God to give you a sign
Bring out the great Amen
And with us all be fine!!!

Thank you for the “Missing You” poem. It means more than I can say.

Yours Truly is in the final weeks of the tapering-down and weaning-off process for the SSRI that one has been taking — paroxetine (Paxil.)
Any SSRI is difficult to taper down the dose and wean off from. Paxil is one of the couple of SSRI’s that are most difficult.
Anyone taking an SSRI and who wants to get off them MUST do this under the DIRECT supervision of a physician — and that physician, in the best-case scenario, needs to be a psychiatrist who has experience with patients who are on SSRI prescription drugs.
Yours Truly is determined to complete this process (in her case, begun 6 months ago; the process can take that long, or even longer) and GET OFF this SSRI. Thank the Almighty God that the original dose that one was taking was WELL BELOW the lowest usual prescribed dose for Paxil.

SSRI drugs, like SNRI drugs, DO NOT CURE the underlying condition. In the best-case scenario, they may help in “managing” some symptoms. Any SSRI / SNRI use MUST BE monitored by a healthcare professional who has experience with prescribing these drugs, and MUST be accompanied by counseling therapy for the underlying issues.

Yours Truly is aware that there are some patients who have diagnosed depression or anxiety disorder or panic-anxiety disorder or obsessive-compulsive disorder, and so on, that are severe enough to require SSRI / SNRI drug use for an long period of time. These diagnoses and decisions to prescribe are up to the physician / psychiatrist to assess.

There is an additional issue, that of the age of the patient, that must be considered: for example, a “normal starting dose” of an SSRI drug that may be prescribed for a 35-year-old patient likely may be too much for a 65-year-old patient.

A Midwestern Doctor has an article about how bad SSRI drugs can be. There are links at the end of the article to others he has written on SSRI drugs.

PAVACA

Wolf Moon
Yours Truly has done a deep dive into scientific papers and articles related to increased risk of psychosis (for example, bipolar issues, etc.) and/or risk of inducing future cognitive impairment or worse, from use of prescription SSRI’s, SNRI’s, MAOI inhibitors, benzodiazepines, and tricyclics.

Here is one such paper:
https://doi.org/10.1155/2018/5315098
“Increased Risk of Dementia in Patients with Antidepressants: A Meta-Analysis of Observational Studies”
Yao-Chin Wang, et al. (Taiwan)

In addition to all the above, there are even more considerations to take into account for the individual patient, besides age:

Sensitivity to psychotropic drugs. There is a saliva-swab test by a company called GeneSight that a doctor can order, which will determine sensitivity levels in the patient and rank current psychotropic drugs in order of “least effects” to “worst effects” in this regard for the patient.
History of anxiety / panic-anxiety issues in the patient’s birth family.

4GodandCountry

All of that is avoidable with the knowledge that all emotions are a choice.

The problem is people are unaware that their feelings are actual choices that they make.

Worse, most of those choices are unconsciously made (hence: triggers), but doing the mental work in moving them to conscious choices is EXTREMELY doable, it just takes effort.

And most people are lazy. They’d rather take a pill than take ownership of their choices.

Valerie Curren

I don’t think that Feelings themselves are necessarily choices, but what we do with them clearly are. Otherwise this scripture, “be angry and sin not” or in another translation “in your anger do not sin” would make little sense.

Feelings are Not facts but they can reveal aspects of our inner life to ourselves. They can be clues to unraveling complex scenarios, etc.

“Taking every thought into captivity to the obedience & knowledge of Christ” is a tool for managing both thoughts & feelings, imo.

4GodandCountry

Modern psychological understandings and vocabulary were not available at the time the scriptures were written, but the bible is certainly FAR better understood when one combines an in-depth knowledge of psychology with scripture.

Every feeling is a choice, just as every thought is.

For most people, most of those choices are unconsciously made (hence: triggers), but doing the mental work in moving them to conscious choices is EXTREMELY doable, it just takes effort. Sometimes a GReAT deal of effort.

See: Tibetan monks who spend a lifetime learning how

Example:

Someone cuts Bob or Mary off in traffic. Bob or Mary gets angry and cusses them. Everyone empathizes.

But…

Bob or Mary later learn that the same guy who cut them off was desperately trying to get to the hospital with their 4 year old who had smashed their head in an accident.

Now Bob and Mary feel completely different. “Oh! Well, in THAT case….” 🙄😏

But what if Bob or Mary had spent a lot of time LEARNING AND TRAINING THEIR BRAIN not to automatically (ie. subconsciously) ASSUME that the person cutting them off was being a selfish ahole? How would they then be able to react to the news they later learned was true?

Studies show up to 70% of our unconsciously made NEGATIVE emotional reactions are incorrect.

But people are too lazy to do the work to take control of their subconscious reactions…even if they are aware of them.

Why?

Because taking control of them REQUIRES TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THOSE CHOICES, and it’s easier to pretend to be a victim.

When I was younger, I used to worry things in a circle and not let it go (give it to God). An ex-boyfriend once was listening and said “stop!” He explained his thinking on problems and solutions. I learned I needed to let some things go unless there was an action I could take to make my situation more acceptable for me. Nowadays, I think of it as giving the big stuff to God and accepting that I cannot fix everything and that’s okay. I do still wish for lightening bolts now and again but it is better for me to focus on fixing my own issues and thanking God for my many blessings. 😊

Valerie Curren

Amen those anxious thoughts can be killers. I used to stay awake for hours when I was in the midst of certain special ed battles on behalf of my son, trying to dissect situations from every possible angle to attempt to get an edge in deliberations. Silly me, I actually thought the school system & personnel cared about the law AND my son! Serenity prayer applies A Lot in life I think!

PAVACA

Yours Truly agrees that adults can make the choice to either follow, or not follow, their feelings.
However, there are differences regarding people under, say, age 15.
Especially in cases where the minor child witnesses things like, for example, spousal abuse in the family home.
For example, the minor child is abused and/or neglected.
These things register deeply into the child’s emotional / psychological landscape.

4GodandCountry

Small children’s minds are like a blank canvas. And, they are incredible mimics, who learn by copying (especially at the earliest ages).

They spend their time learning how to see and understand the world through watching and observing the verbal and behavioral MESSAGING AND MODELING they get (primarily) from their adult caregivers (ie. their parent(s)).

If the primary caregiver(s) are deeply flawed, this is transcribed into the brain of the child. Abuse can and is a part of this “wounding” or “brokenness” in a young person mind and psyche..

Hence…

”The sins of the father (and/or mother) are carried to the 7th generation.”

Germany’s interior ministerin was warned multiple times by multiple agencies and countries that there would be huge problems this year with Fasching, it looks like she chose to ignore them. And at least two people died, with 25 or more injured, because of that.

The perp is supposedly a German citizen, but the foreign ministry are handing out passports like gumdrops (or hot potatoes). This so-called citizen, however, is VERY dark-skinned and swarthy, which doesn’t describe a typical German. As usually happens, the real truth will dribble out over the next few days, with TPTB eventually admitting it once they think everyone’s forgotten or doesn’t care (or there’s another drive-thru massacre)…

Seems TPTB don’t understand that our “Kulturelle Bereicherung” are hell-bent on attacking and conquering our culture, our churches, and our children. Moreover, it’s the beginning of Ramadan-a-ding-dong, and they ratchet up their conquest even more, for a whole month. Oddly enough, “Dubai Chocolate” has hit the stores by storm (looks like someone barfed green into a chocolate bar), and now Turkish style whatever is all the rage… kind of difficult to be a “Bio-Deutsche” when all the news, papers, stores, and illegal terrorist immigrants are against you.

And now they’ve stolen the concept of an Adventskalender and made it into a Ramadan calendar… have to wonder if there’s a bomb behind every door…

They also will be attacking anything that even hints of Easter….. 😡 😡 😡 😡

846% Tariff! US Imposes High Tariffs on Southeast Asian Solar Panels, Smashing Hidden Chinese Giants
2 Mar 2025
On February 21, 2025, the U.S. Department of Commerce made a final decision on tariffs for Southeast Asian solar panels, raising rates from 21% to a staggering 846%. This hit Chinese solar giants hard, despite their efforts to disguise operations under Malaysian and Vietnamese labels. For over a decade, companies like Jinko Solar and Longi Green Energy built supply chains in Southeast Asia, believing they could bypass U.S. tariffs. But with this move, the U.S. has exposed their strategy, making it clear that Chinese-made products remain at the center of the issue.

It would benefit all if these decisions were accurately described.

What Judge Jackson ruled is that the statute governing dismissal of Dellinger — drafted by Congress to require “for cause” only removal, and signed by Pres. Bush 43 — is consistent with decisions by the Supreme Court in other cases where similar restrictions were allowed.

The legal significance here is getting the Supreme Court to overrule its prior decisions.

Judge Jackson followed the law as it exists now.

4GodandCountry

For those playing at home, this 👆👆analysis means that the Trump admin wanted this ruling because they believe:

A) it’s flawed
B) will be overturned by SCOTUS
…and…
C) in so doing, will give POTUS much greater power and flexibility

Sidney Powell thinks the legal arguments leading to this ruling could have been defeated without going to SCOTUS. And I think she is right.

By the way, if Powell is right, that just adds to the idea that Bondi is wrong. The question there would be (assuming Powell is right):

Does Bondi not know any better, or is she intentionally delaying proceedings?

And btw…no…being a state’s AG does not truly prep someone to play ball in DC, which is a different kettle of fish. It is as good of a prep as one could have OUTSIDE of having a depth of experience playing in the DC major league, but is not the same as knowing the DoJ inside and out….like Powell does.

i did find this from shipwreckedcrew:
Shipwreckedcrew
@shipwreckedcrew
I just want to build on what Margot has posted in terms of procedure and where we stand.

Judge Jackson decided the case on the merits last night. She granted summary judgment in favor of Dellinger, keeping him in place as head of the Office of Special Counsel.

That is a final order subject to appeal, and the ink was hardly dry when the Trump Admin filed a “Notice of Appeal” in the DC Court of Appeals.

Still pending — because it was only “held in abeyance” and not decided — is the Govt motion to vacate the TRO by which Judge Jackson temporarily kept Dellinger in office while the case worked its way towards last night’s end.

Procedurally, the TRO is no longer at issue so the motion to vacate the TRO could be said to be moot.

There might be 5 votes on SCOTUS to not rule on the pending motion because it is moot, and to allow the case to proceed as normal in the Appeals Court. The problem with that approach is that it would leave Dellinger in place.

The alternative would be for the SCOTUS to issue a stay on Judge Jackson’s decision yesterday — keeeping Dellinger out of office — while the DC Circuit considers the case. The Circuit twice declined to get involved on the basis that a TRO was not an appealable order, but now there is a final order in the form of the Summary Judgment. This means the Circuit has no choice now but to get involved.

If either the Circuit or SCOTUS issues a stay, the the Office of Special Counsel would probably get an “Acting” leader. This would solve the issue of Dellinger continuing to act while Trump is trying to fire him. This would buy both courts time, and SCOTUS could decide whether to take the case up after it sees what the Circuit court does with an appeal.

All of that would be the “normal” process.

Alternatively, it may be the case where there are 4 votes to take the case up now and simply deal with Humphrey’s Executor once and for all — it is remains good law or it is struck down.

I think the Court might issue a stay but leave the case in the Circuit Court for now. Both parties will need a bit of time to study Judge Jackson’s opinion and prepare to address it.

But the other reason I think the Court will wait is because there is a second case still awaiting an Injunction ruling in the District Court — before a different Judge — and I think the two cases are going to end up being companion cases decided together. The other case is Harris v. Besset where the issue is exactly the same, but Harris is one of five members of the Merit Systems Protection Board who Trump has fired, rather than a single-person head of an entity like Dellinger and the Special Counsel Office.

Harris and the MSPB is a much closer factual analog to Humphrey’s Executor than was the Seila Law case with the CFPB and the Dellinger case.

I’ll be publishing an article on this later tonight.

singingsoul1

Dumb question how has Congress any standing to make law that takes away rights of POTUS who he firers? Maybe I misunderstood. Should it not the constitution we go by? Separation of power?

Valerie Curren

Makes sense to me. Since when do the governmental tyrants Really allow themselves to be hamstrung by the Constitution? Sigh…

patfrederick

someone commented in turley’s article that congress cannot make an inferior court that overrules SCOTUS–that would be unconstitutional. so how can they legislate an executive position that is out of the control of the President? they can’t. a court just hasn’t properly slapped them down yet.

patfrederick

and this from Turley:

Late Saturday, D.C. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson ruled that President Donald Trump violated federal law in firing Hampton Dellinger, head of the Office of Special Counsel. Jackson’s decision is forceful, well-written, and challengeable under existing precedent. Indeed, it may have just set up an appeal that both presidents and professors have long waited for to reinforce presidential powers.

Appointed by President Joe Biden (and son of the respected liberal scholar and Clinton acting Solicitor General Walter Dellinger), Hampton Dellinger was confirmed by the Senate for a five-year term beginning in 2024. He sued after receiving an email with a perfunctory termination notice shortly after the inauguration. The various inspector generals were also terminated and, at the time, some of us raised concerns over compliance with underlying federal statutes. The issue was not likely the outcome but the process for such removals. However, while many objected to the Helter-Skelter approach to such terminations, there may be a method to this madness. Indeed, this ruling may be precisely what the Trump Administration is seeking as the foundation for a major new constitutional challenge.

Dellinger’s claim is based in large part on the Civil Service Reform Act, which provides that the Special Counsel “may be removed by the President only for inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office.” 5 U.S.C. 1211(b). The notice gave none of these grounds for the termination even though “inefficiency” and “neglect” are a fairly ambiguous and malleable rationale.

Judge Jackson held that the firing clearly violated the controlling statute and that the Act itself was constitutional. She emphasized that, while there are grounds for presidents to claim the power for at-will terminations, those cases have tended to be offices that carry out executive functions. Jackson described the Special Counsel as an essentially harmless office vis-à-vis executive authority: “Special Counsel acts as an ombudsman, a clearinghouse for complaints and allegations, and after looking into them, he can encourage the parties to resolve the matter among themselves. But if that fails, he must direct them elsewhere.” She noted that earlier cases supporting the executive power to fire executive officials involved “restrictions on the President’s ability to remove an official who wields significant executive authority. The Special Counsel simply does not.”

Judge Jackson has a good-faith reliance on her narrow reading of existing precedent. Moreover, she is right that this is not in compliance with the statute. If the statute holds (and it might), the Administration will have to start the process again.

However, the precedent is far from conclusive and brushes over some striking conflicts with prior rulings of the Supreme Court. Jackson insisted that a contrary ruling would undermine the very point of the Special Counsel office: “its independence,” However, that is the very point that has irked both Democratic and Republican presidents for years.

In 1978, President Jimmy Carter objected on these grounds. The Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel explained that, “[b]ecause the Special Counsel [would] be performing largely executive functions, the Congress [could] not restrict the President’s power to remove him.” 2 Op. O.L.C. 120, 121 (1978).

It is unclear whether the current Supreme Court would agree with an exception for minor or de minimus intrusions. Many scholars and judges believe that a president either has Article II authority to fire executive branch officials or he does not.

Notably, there are only four single agency heads who were given tenure protection by Congress: the Directors of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), the Commissioner of Social Security, and the Special Counsel. In 2020, the Court ruled in Seila Law LLC v. CFPB that Congress had violated Article II by granting tenure protection to that sole agency head: “The CFPB’s single-Director structure contravene[d] [Article II’s] carefully calibrated system by vesting significant governmental power in the hands of a single individual accountable to no one.” Id. at 224.

Then, in 2021, in Collins v. Yellen, the Court rejected the same claim as to the director of the FHFA. That opinion came with directly opposing language to Jackson’s rationale. The Court found that Seila Law to be “all but dispositive” on the question and expressly rejected the argument that this would change depending upon “the nature and breadth of an agency’s authority.” The Court held that the “[c]ourts are not well-suited to weigh the relative importance of the regulatory and enforcement authorities of disparate agencies.”

Given these cases, lower courts clearly got the message – a message amplified by President Joe Biden who appointed Dellinger. On the third “independent” position, the Commissioner of Social Security, Biden’s Office of Legal Counsel declared that “the best reading of Collins and Seila Law” is that “the President need not heed the Commissioner’s statutory tenure protection.” Two circuits (the Ninth and Eleventh) have ruled consistently with that interpretation in favor of executive authority to remove such officers.

Ultimately, Dellinger can be removed even if this decision stands. The Trump Administration could have easily cited a basis like inefficiency or neglect. While I know of no such allegations against Dellinger, the Administration may believe that it has a basis for such allegations. The law is vague on how or whether such an allegation can be contested.

The question is why it decided not to do so. Clearly, it could just be a chainsaw approach to cutting positions. However, it may also reflect a desire for some in the Administration to challenge lingering case law limiting executive powers. In other words, they seem to be spoiling for a fight.

The reason may be Humphrey’s Executor v. United States (1935), which established the right of Congress to create independent agencies. It found that Congress could, without violating Article II powers, provide tenure protection to “a multimember body of experts, balanced along partisan lines, that performed legislative and judicial functions and was said not to exercise any executive power.” The Court in cases like Seila Law cited that precedent for one of the exceptions to executive power. It also cited an exception for giving tenure protection to “certain inferior officers with narrowly defined duties,” under Morrison v. Olson (1988). Jackson cited both cases and those exceptions in shoehorning the Special Counsel into a narrow band of quasi-executive positions.

What may be overlooked in the filings of the Administration before the Supreme Court in the Dellinger case was this line in a footnote: “Humphrey’s Executor appears to have misapprehended the powers of “the New Deal-era [Federal Trade Commission]” and misclassified those powers as primarily legislative and judicial.” It went on to suggest that the case is not only wrongly decided but that the Justice Department “intends to urge this Court to overrule that decision.”

Described by the Court as “the outer-most constitutional limits of permissible congressional restrictions on the President’s removal power,” the Trump Administration appears set to try to redraw that constitutional map.

That is why Jackson’s opinion may not only be expected but welcomed by the Trump Administration. It is hunting for bigger game than Dellinger and Judge Jackson just gave it a clear shot for the Supreme Court.

When several dozen Democratic political operatives and elected officials gathered at a tony resort off the Potomac River last month, frustration boiled over at the left wing of their party.

Democrats had become too obsessed with “ideological purity tests” and should push back “against far-left staffers and groups that exert a disproportionate influence on policy and messaging,” according to a document of takeaways from the gathering…

The gathering resulted in five pages of takeaways, a document POLITICO obtained from one of the participants. (Not all attendees endorsed each point, and the document — and Third Way — kept the identities of participants private.)…

Among their takeaways:

• The party should “embrace patriotism, community, and traditional American imagery.”

• Candidates should “get out of elite circles and into real communities (e.g., tailgates, gun shows, local restaurants, churches).”

• The party needs to “own the failures of Democratic governance in large cities and commit to improving local government.”

The party, many of those gathered also argued, needs to “develop a stronger, more relatable Democratic media presence (podcasts, social media, sports broadcasting).”

More at the link. Good luck with all that. I just heard a Riley Gaines interview about a Congressional bill to keep men out of women’s sports. It has passed the House and needs 60 Senate votes. There are 53 Repubs, so they need 7 Dems and she doesn’t know of one solid Dem vote. So much for getting away from far-left ideology.

As long as members of Congress think their base wants radical policies, they will continue to support such policies. I think it’s going to take a change in the attitudes of the base and for them to put pressure on their representatives. That could take time.

Their real problem is, they don’t KNOW what is radical, and what is not.

The Dems think having males who pretend to be females participating in women’s sports is normal. They think having no gasoline cars, no gas stoves, toilets that barely flush, and water consumption laws that result in the Palisades fires, and on and on in the name of “climate change” is normal.

The Dems think parents who don’t want porn in their kids schools is radical. They think having paper ballots and one day voting, not wanting gun control, insisting on free speech, and not taking a poison vaxx shot is radical.

Dems don’t understand what the words normal and radical means to an ordinary average American. They can’t change, because their definitions are fucked.

For those interested – from Grok

Yes, there are laws in the United States that can be used to prosecute individuals or entities, including those at USAID, who misuse or misappropriate federal funds, such as sending millions of dollars to companies or organizations without a commensurate benefit to the U.S. These laws focus on fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement of government resources. Below is an overview of the relevant legal framework:

1. Misappropriation of Federal Funds (18 U.S.C. § 641)

  • This statute makes it a felony to knowingly embezzle, steal, or convert federal property (including money) for personal use or the use of others without lawful authority. If someone at USAID deliberately sent funds to an organization knowing there was no benefit to the U.S. and it served an unauthorized purpose, this could apply.
  • Penalties: Fines and/or imprisonment for up to 10 years.

2. False Claims Act (31 U.S.C. §§ 3729–3733)

  • This law targets individuals or entities that knowingly submit false or fraudulent claims to the government for payment. If USAID officials approved funding to companies or organizations based on falsified justifications or without legitimate public benefit, they could be liable.
  • Penalties: Civil penalties include triple damages plus fines per false claim. Criminal violations could also lead to prosecution under related fraud statutes.

3. Fraud and False Statements (18 U.S.C. § 1001)

  • This statute prohibits knowingly making false statements or concealing material facts in matters within the jurisdiction of the federal government. If USAID personnel misrepresented the purpose or benefit of funding allocations, they could face prosecution.
  • Penalties: Fines and/or imprisonment for up to 5 years (or 8 years if related to terrorism).

4. Anti-Deficiency Act (31 U.S.C. §§ 1341–1342, 1517)

  • This law prohibits federal employees from spending money beyond what Congress has appropriated or for purposes not authorized by law. Sending USAID funds to organizations without a clear U.S. benefit could violate this act if it exceeds or misaligns with congressional intent.
  • Penalties: Administrative discipline (e.g., termination) and potential criminal penalties for willful violations (fines and up to 2 years imprisonment under 31 U.S.C. § 1350).

5. Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 (22 U.S.C. § 2151 et seq.)

  • USAID operates under this law, which mandates that foreign aid serve U.S. foreign policy objectives, such as national security, economic development, or humanitarian goals. Funds must align with these purposes. Diverting money to organizations with no commensurate U.S. benefit could be construed as a violation of this statutory authority, opening the door to investigations and legal action.

6. Criminal Conspiracy (18 U.S.C. § 371)

  • If multiple individuals at USAID colluded to misuse funds, they could be charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States.
  • Penalties: Fines and/or imprisonment for up to 5 years.

Oversight and Enforcement

  • USAID Office of Inspector General (OIG): The USAID OIG is tasked with investigating fraud, waste, and abuse in agency programs. For example, in November 2024, a Syrian national was charged with diverting $9 million in USAID humanitarian aid to a terrorist group, prosecuted with assistance from the OIG and the Department of Justice (DOJ).
  • DOJ Prosecution: The DOJ can pursue criminal charges based on OIG findings or other evidence of wrongdoing.
  • Congressional Oversight: Congress can investigate misuse of funds and refer cases for prosecution, as seen with allegations of USAID funds going to questionable entities.

Examples and Precedents

  • Funds must be used in accordance with appropriations and agency regulations. If USAID sent millions to a company like EcoHealth Alliance (criticized for its Wuhan lab ties) or a nonprofit linked to terrorists (e.g., the Syria case), and no U.S. benefit was derived, this could trigger legal scrutiny. The OIG has flagged risks like inadequate vetting of recipients, which could lead to prosecution if intentional misconduct is proven.
  • However, proving intent (e.g., knowingly funding with no benefit) is key. Negligence or poor oversight might result in administrative penalties rather than criminal charges unless fraud is evident.

Challenges

  • Proving Intent: Prosecutors must show the individual knowingly violated the law, not just mismanaged funds.
  • Jurisdiction: If funds go to foreign entities, prosecuting misuse can be complex unless U.S. personnel are directly implicated.
  • Political Context: Recent criticisms of USAID (e.g., from the Trump administration in 2025) highlight waste but don’t always provide evidence of illegality sufficient for prosecution.

In summary, yes, laws exist to prosecute USAID personnel who send funds to companies or organizations without U.S. benefit, especially if done knowingly or fraudulently. The USAID OIG and DOJ actively enforce these laws, though successful prosecution depends on evidence of intent and specific violations.

For Mollie and anyone interested in our CA wildfires.
In socal we have had firebugs lighting small fires up and down the 15 fwy which goes all the way to the border. We had several but they dont get a lot of news. Arrests were made. See they actually say the names here. I think the press is tired of the fires too.

Cal Fire announced the arrest of Ruben Vasquez on multiple felony arson charges for allegedly starting both the Pala and Lilac fires on January 21.

According to a Cal Fire press release, the two fires started 25 minutes apart near I-15 and SR-76. Together they burned nearly 100 acres and forced evacuations for hundreds of residents.

ABC 10News interviewed some of more than 300 people who were evacuated in Bonsall during the Lilac Fire, sheltering at Riverview Evangelical Church for more than 12 hours.

“Went outside and the flames over the ridge were 60, 70 feet high,” according to Tim Krause. He said he woke up after midnight to an alert on his phone before evacuating with his dog and cat.

The Pala fire burned roughly 17 acres and also forced evacuations in the area.

Cal Fire says Vasquez was arrested on Feb. 28 and take to Vista Detention Facility. His case will be referred to the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office.

https://www.10news.com/news/local-news/suspected-arsonist-in-pala-lilac-fires-arrested

A man was arrested on suspicion of intentionally starting a brush fire in Fallbrook last week, Cal Fire officials said.

Neema Ahmadpour was arrested in connection with a fire that erupted at around 11:45 a.m. on Feb. 28, near the Santa Margarita River Trail Preserve.

According to Cal Fire officials, the suspect is also accused of threatening a park ranger with a knife.

The fire burned just a half-acre, and during the investigation, “deputies discovered multiple Molotov cocktails ready for use,” officials stated.

Cal Fire officials said other fires that were ignited on Feb. 20 and 21 were “determined to have been caused by Molotov cocktails,” and investigators are working to see if those fires are linked to Ahmadpour.

Ahmadpour faces the following charges:

  • arson to forest land
  • arson with an accelerant device
  • possession of an incendiary device
  • committing a felony during a state of emergency
  • possession of a destructive device
  • possession of an explosive device in a public place

Over all there’s been 160 fires between South and North Carolina. Many of them along the same stretch of highway. Arson likely but I’m only hearing of acreage burnt and next to nothing on homes but there’s been a lot of evacuations. Over all SC has experienced large fires in the past.

Here’s some others noticing that.

Easy solution, announce that arsonists will be treated like looters, and shot on sight.

You’ll have one or two more fires by idiots testing the new policy, and then it will all stop.

Most of the solutions are easy, it’s the lack of political will that is always the problem.

A couple of days ago there was some discussion about the Christian creeds in general and the Nicene Creed specifically. Wouldn’t you know it, this weekend I opened up my latest issue of Touchstone Magazine and there was an editorial about the Nicene Creed. It is funny how these things seem to occur isn’t it? After reading the article I though others might enjoy the opportunity.

A Creed AwakeningOn the 1,700th Anniversary of Nicaea
by Patrick Henry Reardon

If I were able to write fiction, I would like to write like Willa Cather. I never will, of course, but the spiritual appeal of her stories prompts me, somewhat boldly, to suppose that she and I have shared certain experiences of a religious/artistic nature.
What I feel here to be an affinity I can, in one case, document as a fact: Willa Cather and I have shared a common fascination with the Nicene Creed. Like her, I love to recite the Creed very slowly and thoughtfully. In my own case, it has become nearly an obsession; its text gives shape to my sense of reality; it provides my inner architecture.
I render this personal testimony as we Christians prepare, very shortly this year, to remember the Council of Nicaea on the occasion of its 1,700th anniversary. It should not go by unnoticed.

Appropriate Before Sleep?

Before commenting further on the Creed, however, let me speak once more of Willa Cather. I must confess that my approach to the Creed is not entirely identical with hers. I can indicate the difference by quoting what she wrote in a letter to her niece and goddaughter Helen Louise Cather on Easter Sunday, March 23, 1940:

I think the Nicene Creed the most beautiful prose in the world. If I am wakeful in the night and think it through to myself, slowly, I can nearly always go to sleep. There is such authority and majesty in it.

Since I was only two years old when she wrote this letter—nor, as I recall, was Willa a friend of the family—there was no opportunity to raise a question that bothers me now. From my current perspective, I would have to say, “Miss Cather, forgive my inquiry, but would you back up a bit, please, ma’am, and break that down for me. I don’t quite follow the logic here. You say this ‘most beautiful prose in the world,’ with ‘such authority and majesty in it,’ puts you to sleep?”
But then I further reflect, well, maybe it does—in a special sense. Although the Nicene Creed has never put me to sleep, I can think of no better text to recite when, at the end, I do fall asleep in the Lord.
In fact, I can hardly count the many Christians whose hands I have held, over the years, while reciting that Creed in their hearing as they released their last breath and passed on to glory. If I am the priest at his bedside, the dying Christian will always make his Passover with the Nicene Creed ringing in his ears. Perhaps its aspect of a final word is the reason the Orthodox Church prescribes the Creed’s recitation each night at Compline.
Truths Thought Through
It is my personal habit, on the other hand, to recite that Creed each morning, just before beginning the psalms of Matins. Indeed, I think of the Creed as the key to a Christian understanding of the psalms. Going from “I believe in one God” all the way to “the life of the world to come,” I cannot think of a single line that does not resonate—deeply—in sundry verses of the Psalter.
So I endeavor to begin each day by placing my own thoughts into the shared convictions of Nicholas of Myra, Spyridon of Tremithus, Hosius of Cordova, Cecilian of Carthage, and the other saintly bishops who gathered—along with the young deacon, Athanasius of Alexandria—in 325 (and later, in 381). Thereby I take explicit possession of my inheritance.
As to its content, the Creed’s third article—“I believe in the Holy Spirit”—is the theological warrant of the first two: “I believe in one God, the Father . . . and in one Lord, Jesus Christ.” The grace of the Holy Spirit, that is to say, is what prompts and enables the believer to confess, “Abba, Father” (Gal. 4:6; Rom. 8:15) and “Jesus is Lord” (1 Cor. 12:3). One cannot make these confessions apart from the Holy Spirit. Paul summarized them: “For us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we unto him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through him” (1 Cor. 8:6).
I think it imperative that these ancient and inherited—even pre-Pauline—formulations of the faith be transmitted as truths thought through, actively engaging the reflecting mind. They lie at the base of the very being of the Church. After the Scriptures themselves, this is the most important document in the bequest of Christian history.

The Danger of Thoughtless Routine

I readily admit, of course, that there is some danger inherent in reciting the Nicene Creed or, for that matter, any other formulation of faith—the danger of thoughtless routine. So I admit that recitation of the Creed as a means of falling asleep sounds a bit suspicious.
The purpose of the Creed is, rather, to wake us up. It must not become simply an accepted formula but a treasure to fight and die for—or at least a concern that deserves the best and highest resources of our minds. Surely the Creed is an instrument for loving God with the whole mind.
Nothing is more deadly than an inherited formulation that we simply accept and never think about, a formulation receiving only a torpid, thoughtless acquiescence. “Abba, Father” and “Jesus is Lord” are not just words. They are revelations given by the Holy Spirit. The Nicene Creed, that is to say, takes its rise from within the Holy Trinity. It is a formula born of a revelatory experience, the testimony of the Father and the Son to one another: “All things are delivered unto me by my Father, and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.”
As to creeds in general, it is spiritually lethal to recite them when the vigor of the mind is not engaged, when the words are received (as John Stuart Mill once wrote) “outside the mind,” when the formula never connects “itself at all with the inner life of the human being.”
It is a terrible thing to transmit a creedal faith that is, in fact, devoid of faith, a creed that does not engage the reason of the believer, a creed empty of intellect, never permitted to address and give structure to the conscience, never encouraged to hold discourse with literature, philosophy, and history, a creed innocent of imagination, inspiring no poetry and prompting no art, a creed that evokes no radical moral resolve and is expressed mainly in routine practices seldom reflected on and never understood.
God preserve us from a creed without a living faith, a faith that actually informs the content of the mind and strengthens the resolve of the will, a faith that serves as the foundation stone of decisions, a faith structuring our daily lives in the steady application of prayer and the quest for God, a faith in which we lay hold of the truths by which to live and die, a faith bearing fruit in wisdom, a living faith worth sharing with our children.

One of the important uses in the years after it’s creation was to ask anyone claiming leadership in the church to “sign up” to support, defend, teach, live by the “I believe” statement. Sort of like how American leaders swear an oath of office to support and defend the Constitution.

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

One of those odd things about oaths and pledges that I have run across from time to time, especially in churches, is that for pledges and oaths to have any usefulness the person agreeing to such things must have integrity for the oath to mean anything. Of course, if the person has integrity the pledging is unnecessary, their commitment to the project is all that is required.

Creeds are something different. They are not pledges or oaths. They are statements about what an adherent believes.

TradeBait2

I no longer need creeds, but understand fellow brothers and sisters who do. They can be good reminders of who we are.

I just need no reminders of who I am to Christ. I have lived so much life where He carried me through. Life in Him is just like breathing and it brings me peace to remember scripture and go through the day with Him at night. That doesn’t make me a saint, it just make me a believer and follower of the King who wants to do right by Him.

Religion is not part of my needs anymore even with my participation in church activities. I enjoy attending, serving, teaching, and so on; but it is only because it provides comfort and lifts Him up.

Robert Baker

From your comments I would say you are well along Christian’s path in Pilgrim’s Progress. CS Lewis would say you practice Mere Christianity. Congratulations. Fewer people than one might think make it that far along the path. From what I have read on this forum there are some others who have made it to your general vicinity. That strikes a chord of hope in my spirit.

Thank you for so stating this 😇

At the time when the council agreed on the wording for the “I believe” statement there was a genuine threat by those preaching that Jesus Christ was a created being.

What Makes Arianism Such a Dangerous Heresy?

Christians have debated many things over the centuries. However, one of their earliest debates, one that some consider the first proper heresy that the church faced, was over an idea called Arianism.

:

Arianism is named for Arius, a main proponent of the idea that Jesus was God’s first and greatest creation. He was a prominent teacher in Alexandria, Egypt, in the early fourth century. He made his case at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, arguably the most important of the early church’s councils. He was condemned as a heretic because his belief undermined the Trinity.

Arianism was one of the main topics at the Council of Nicaea. The council sought to clearly define the Trinity in a way that combatted Arianism and earlier heresies about the Trinity. The definition they came up with was that Jesus was “Very God of Very God,” “Begotten, not made,” and “of one substance with the Father.”

https://www.christianity.com/wiki/cults-and-other-religions/arianism-heresy.html

TheseTruths

Because this history is not taught in many churches, a lot of people have no knowledge of it. And those who believe that every single thing must come from the Bible do not accept that God could have worked through those early councils to clarify the faith for the people of those times as well for all times. They do not accept that He could have worked through the participants to “get things right” according to the faith, and that the pronouncements of the councils, while not Scripture, are important because they were directed by Him.

Gudthots

It’s difficult because we don’t really believe that God meant it when he commands us to “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you.”

Giving honor isn’t the same as overlooking their sins or mistakes. But this commandment seems pretty important.

If somebody said they came up with some thing that was a requirement for anyone to lead the church, I would say great.

Just show me book, chapter and verse for this thing, and we’ll get ‘r done 👍

But if you can’t, then by what Authority do you do these things?

And that’s when the fun begins.

It’s like playing wack-a-mole. There is plain Scripture against most of these things. Sometimes I have to wonder whether the men of old ever even read God’s Word.

Because I’m no expert, I’m not living in a monastery (btw, no Scriptural Authority for that either) studying God’s Word all day, so if I can point out black and white Scripture showing the error of these things, then why didn’t they?

.

“But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.” (James 5:12, KJV)

“But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: [35] Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. [36] Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. Please, go on and be happy with your viewpoint.

And then perhaps remember that you are choosing to look at this from a specific viewpoint that is very recent in the history of the church.

And perhaps what you think this is about might not be what it is about at all.

It’s the text of any such creed, that is a statement of faith based on Scripture and that in some cases quotes Scripture directly, that people might use as a litmus test for someone who wants to lead a church. If someone disagrees with any of the Scripturally-based tenets, then they are disqualified.

There is no need for Scripture to say, “Here, use this creed as a litmus test for a leader” when the creed lists core beliefs, taken from Scripture. It’s akin to what I’ve seen a lot of churches do: list the things they believe. People who join those churches, and especially pastors, are expected to be in accord with those beliefs. In this instance, those things happen to be listed in a creed.

I noticed that the “oath of office” can be modified to “affirm” if someone does not want to “swear” to uphold the Constitution. What would you choose if you were appointed to an office requiring you to “swear in”?

I think the Nicene Creed the most beautiful prose in the world. If I am wakeful in the night and think it through to myself, slowly, I can nearly always go to sleep. There is such authority and majesty in it.

____________

It’s literally the words of men.

She has God’s Word, the whole Bible at her fingertips, but the most beautiful prose in the world (to her) is a creed written by men.

Then she attributes ‘authority’ and ‘majesty’ to these words of men.

And then people wonder how doctrines, traditions and commandments of men lead entire churches straight into apostasy.

It’s like she’s explaining to us exactly how it happens. They take the words of men, attribute religious authority to them, give them ‘majesty’, and then follow the words of men as if they were the Word of God.

It would be funny if it wasn’t so ridiculous. It’s like something out of The Life of Brian (Monty Python, 1979).

I should thank her. Rarely has anyone made it so easy to point out.

The text of the Nicene Creed is supported by Scripture, so it consolidates the tenets of the faith into one statement that serves as a reminder to the Christian of the basis of their belief. I have found it to be affirming and comforting.

“Authority” and “majesty,” if one wants to use those terms, should be attributed to the Scripture and the reality that is the basis for the creed.

This is one “creed-like” pronouncement in the Bible. No doubt it served to preach the Gospel and to confirm people’s faith since they did not have Bibles:

1 Cor. 15:3-7, “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.”

scott467

If I am the priest at his bedside, the dying Christian will always make his Passover with the Nicene Creed ringing in his ears.

_____________

Why?

Who wrote that creed?

I’m not sure anyone actually knows the names, so let’s say it was Tom, Dick and Harry.

Did Tom, Dick and Harry die on a cross for you?

No?

Then why do you want their words ringing in your ears as you go to meet the Lord?

It’s just baffling.

Gudthots

You have so much curiosity.
Your choice to not find the answers yourself is baffling to me.

scott467

“You have so much curiosity.”

_____________

Curiosity killed the cat.

It also gets a lot of people in trouble when it comes to religion, almost as if God’s Word just isn’t enough for them, so they need to fill in all the blanks.

And that’s where the trouble always starts.

.

“Your choice to not find the answers yourself is baffling to me.”

______________

What, you want me to argue with myself? 😂

The answers to most of the questions I asked should be self evident, it’s a rhetorical device to help come across as less confrontational.

I’m not trying (or wanting) to make anyone upset. I don’t even expect it to register with most people, I know better, ever since covid.

Everyone is going to believe what they want to believe, and then comes the Judgment.

It’s pretty depressing, actually.

But maybe, just maybe, it plants a seed. And maybe somewhere down the line, someone else makes a similar point, and if it comes from someone they trust or respect, and because it’s not the first time they’ve heard it, maybe it gets through. I don’t know exactly how it works.

Seems like it’s a good idea to believe God, I haven’t heard any argument against that — and the only way we can know what God wants us to believe is in His Word.

I see some really obvious problems with certain things people believe or practice, things which defy logic or reason, often things which are clearly emotional (either in the reason for their creation or in the reasons for adherence to them), things for which there is no Authority in God’s Word to do, and which the people who do and practice them can’t defend.

Most of the time they don’t even try, because what can they say, if I am pointing to the Authority of God’s Word, and they can’t?

Sometimes I don’t speak up, I just let it go, because chances are it’s just going to upset someone, and I don’t want to do that, and it’s probably not going to change anyone’s mind anyway.

But it’s like watching someone walk out in front of a bus. The instinct, the reflex is to shout a warning to them, or grab them and pull them back to safety.

It’s hard to ignore that all the time. I don’t even think we’re supposed to ignore it (cf. James 4:17).

Safety is in God’s Word.

All that other stuff, which can’t be defended or found anywhere in God’s Word… that’s the bus.

Everyone is going to believe what they want to believe, and then comes the Judgment.

Including you. 😊

A lot has happened with God and His church that you are willfully ignoring. That is your choice, but just as you “see some really obvious problems with certain things people believe or practice,” others see the same in your pronouncements.

Because you use “curiosity killed the cat” as a reason not to learn about early Christianity and related topics, there are things that you are ignorant of. There is “safety” in sola scriptura, but it keeps you from seeing the bigger picture. (And this is not about the Catholic Church.) To each his own, but there is no need to fervently question what others believe when you haven’t investigated it for yourself and have closed your mind to anything they have to say.

Gudthots

Actually he might have been mocking himself in saying “curiousity killed the cat,” since I was complimenting him on being curious.

4GodandCountry

Moreover, and to your point, there is a reason why…in some bibles… Christ’s words are written in red, and all else is in black.

It’s the red that matters most.

Gudthots

The person who shared the Gospel with me gave me a red-letter Bible to read. At first I wasn’t sure if I could trust all of the Bible due to bad information given to me by a heretic. I would only read the red letters.

My encounter with Christ, my “yes,” was the transforming event. Then the words of Christ, as I read them in the Bible, was my only “church” for the first year of my walk. And as the Bible says, those red letters gave me the “[cleansing] by the washing with water through the word,.” (Eph 5:26)

I am so thankful for that red letter Bible.

But it is ALL His Word, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and God, being perfect (cf. Deuteronomy 32:4, 2 Samuel 22:31, Psalm 18:30), and who cannot lie (Titus 1:2), does not contradict Himself.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (2 Timothy 3:16, KJV)

“For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.” (1 Thessalonians 2:13, KJV)

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” (John 17:17, KJV)

“Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” (1 Corinthians 2:13, KJV)

As to creeds in general, it is spiritually lethal to recite them when the vigor of the mind is not engaged, when the words are received (as John Stuart Mill once wrote) “outside the mind,” when the formula never connects “itself at all with the inner life of the human being.”

___________

All of this, I guess it’s a doctrine, is according to whom?

Is it according to God? If so, there should be book, chapter and verse for at least the following:

1) creeds

2) the spiritual lethality of reciting a creed without vigor of the mind (that’s a Doozie, it’s like something right out of Indiana Jones)

3) a ‘formula’ having to do with connecting the inner life to words of men

But all of this stuff is made up of whole cloth, there’s no Authority in God’s Word for any of it.

If we were standing before Jesus at the Judgment, and He asked us point-blank why we were creating and following and obsessing over words of men that we called ‘creeds’, what would we say?

What could we possibly say?

We’re certainly not going to be able to say “I learned it from your Word, Lord”.

It will be something like “Well, me and the boys got together and, if you think about it, there’s a lot of stuff You left out of the Bible, so we thought we’d add some stuff that sounded good to us.

Other people thought it sounded good too, so we all decided we would adopt it and follow it and make our own words our Authority in matters of God, sort of like how a lot of times we make up our own religion.

Then we added it to all of the other doctrines, commandments and traditions of men that You warned us against doing.

I guess that’s about it.

No problem, right?”

How’s that gonna go over?

What are we doing here?

My father is color blind. Somehow he made it through life pretty successfully even working on electronics in the Navy back when you had to read the colored bars on the resistors. He wasn’t born knowing that other people saw colors that he could not see. He was blind to certain colors and didn’t know they even existed.

When I read your questions, to me they seem something like that. You have the perspective that you are seeing all the colors. My very basic research over the past few years says that authentic Christians all through the ages have followed Christ, lived and died for Christ, with a larger range of colors that the ones “allowed” within your world view. Romans 14:4 (in context below) gives me pause whenever I am tempted to think my form of Christianity has the exclusive approval of the Lord.

Romans 14

1Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. 2For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. 3Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. 4Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

5One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. 7For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. 8For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. 9For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

10But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

11For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

12So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

13Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way. 14I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. 15But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

16Let not then your good be evil spoken of: 17For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. 18For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.

19Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. 20For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. 21It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. 22Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. 23And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

FG&C and others were discussing venison and why to discard the fat when processing deer meat. Last night I got to wondering because I had recently cooked up some lamb ribs from Alderspring and there was a LOT of fat after cooking. I researched and decided to make lamb tallow and it is awesome. So, what about tallow from deer fat? Yes, it is done.

Here’s not only a recipe but some explanations about the taste of tallow and how the animal’s diet affects things. And what options there are to make it most usable.

The first time I had someone I considered a close friend act like I was their enemy for some reason or another I was shocked.

My family always seemed to believe the best in others and work to find ways to understand or hold their peace. At least in my experience of it. I suspect there were things underneath that weren’t so great.

I didn’t have combative siblings. We were on the same team. We had a great time together (or so I thought anyway). I am grateful for that. But it did not prepare me for the ways of the world where people seem to eat their own.

Valerie Curren

I can somewhat relate to this. I was a fairly young teen when a girl at church “befriended” me, basically because she had a crush on my brother & wanted to get closer to him. Whenever her interest in him waned she dropped me like a hot potato, never spoke to me again, & even acted like I didn’t exist. There was a season where I didn’t know how to deal with this, & maybe I still don’t. Using others is outside the family wheelhouse…

Aubergine

I also don’t want to hear “it was on her desk, she didn’t read it all.”

How many things would we guess are on Bondi’s desk about now? How about illegal immigrant deportations, the assassination attempts on our President, the illegal activities in our own government, just for appetizers.

The woman has been on the job for two damned weeks. Most people couldn’t find the mail room in their first week.

BREAKING: Head of FBI field office in New York *resigns* after the Department of Justice accused his office of hiding thousands of Epstein documents.

James Dennehy says he was forced to resign in an email to staff.

“Late Friday, I was informed that I needed to put my retirement papers in today, which I just did. I was not given a reason for this decision,” Dennehy said.

Dennehy had previously told his office to “dig in” after Trump was elected.

The resignation comes after AG Pam Bondi instructed FBI Director Kash Patel to launch an investigation into claims that the New York field office was hiding thousands of documents.

Bondi said a source came forward claiming the field office had thousands of pages of docs.

“I repeatedly questioned whether this was the full set of documents responsive to my request and was repeatedly assured by the FBI that we had received the full set of documents,” Bondi said.

“Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York was in possession of thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and indictment of Epstein.”

“Despite my repeated requests, the FBI never disclosed the existence of these files. When you and I spoke yesterday, you were just as surprised as I was to learn this new information.”

kalbokalbs

…I was not given a reason for this decision..

If Dennehy truly does not know why he was asked to resign, then Dennehy is too ignorant to work for, “the premier law enforcement agency.”

People want instant gratification after all these years of corruption and evil, especially at the SDNY of anything. I get that. But PDT calls the shots. His cabinet runs everything past him of substance. How much has he had on the plate since he walked into the Oval Office again? His cabinet gets the work done the way the Boss wants it, comprehensive and documented before discussing. It passes through the hands of the inner circle and applicable cabinet head. The decision is made and executed.

Bondi, Kash, Bonginio and crew are doing what they are supposed to do. The mutinous response by FIB to the declass/disclosure order gave them grounds they needed to take the next step without judicial interference, and if tried, will be overturned. That is why it was released in Phase One, Phase Two.

TheseTruths

If that guy was hiding the documents, then I wonder who became in charge of them after his departure and if Bondi has them now. That would be a quick turnaround for what seems like a lot of documents.

BOI is dead, it was shut down by Bessent and Trump. Now is the time to hold onto gold and crypto. Trump has trapped the EU, they are now divided and half want peace and the other wants war. NATO is not what it seems, this the [DS] NATO World Order. Money laundering tracker is currently being built to track down who is receiving the funds. Psalm 42
For the director of music. A maskil[c] of the Sons of Korah.

As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?

My tears have been my food
    day and night,
while people say to me all day long,
    “Where is your God?”

These things I remember
as I pour out my soul:
how I used to go to the house of God
under the protection of the Mighty One
with shouts of joy and praise
    among the festive throng.

Why, my soul, are you downcast?
    Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
    my Savior and my God.

My soul is downcast within me;
    therefore I will remember you
from the land of the Jordan,
the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.

Deep calls to deep
    in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
    have swept over me.

By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.

I say to God my Rock,
    “Why have you forgotten me?
Why must I go about mourning,
    oppressed by the enemy?”
10
My bones suffer mortal agony
    as my foes taunt me,
saying to me all day long,
    “Where is your God?”
11
Why, my soul, are you downcast?
    Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
    my Savior and my God.

She has to figure out who she can trust. Calibrate wobbly ones. Build a case and shitcan as needed.

Incredibly difficult situation.

Have not heard Bongino making his presence known. Guess Kash and Bongino will make a ruckus when they have a firmer footing.

That is good news, get her out of jail and redress the damage as best as can be done, financially for her and legally against her oppressors.

TheseTruths

This answers my previous question about where the documents are now.

Collin Rugg:

BREAKING: Attorney General Pam Bondi says a “truckload” of Jeffrey Epstein files arrived on Friday, says FBI Director Kash Patel is looking through them now.

“We got them all Friday at 8AM. Thousands of pages of documents. I have the FBI going through them.”

“It’s now in the possession of the FBI. Kash is going to get me a detailed report as to why all these documents and evidence had been withheld.”

“We’re gonna go through it as fast as we can…”

https://twitter.com/CollinRugg/status/1896754684708188658

They still have to go through these documents to protect the victims.

TheseTruths

Other things that can be redacted are grand jury and national security information. But Bondi sounds committed to releasing as much as possible. She also mentioned the JFK and MLK files and “all of these cases.”

Bondi says they will not be pulling pages out for redaction, as has been done in the past. “If something is redacted, you will know the line and you will know why it’s redacted,” like a victim’s name.

Gudthots

Some say we should respond in kind to Alynski’s rules for radicals (posted by Wolf again today). I thought I would ask AI what the Bible says about mocking others.

Bible Verses About Mocking

The Bible provides several perspectives on mocking others, generally advising against it and emphasizing the importance of treating others with respect and kindness. Proverbs 17:5 states, “Whoever mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker; whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished,” indicating that mocking others is a form of disrespecting God Himself.

Additionally, Proverbs 14:6-7 advises staying away from a mocker because knowledge is not found on their lips.

The Bible also warns that mocking others can lead to strife and division within communities. Proverbs 22:10 notes, “Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife; quarrels and insults are ended,” highlighting the disruptive nature of mocking behavior.

Furthermore, Proverbs 29:8 warns that mockers can stir up a city, while the wise turn away anger.

Jesus’ example [when] mocked on the cross: He responded with forgiveness, as recorded in Luke 23:34, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing”.

Overall, the Bible encourages humility and kindness, advising against mocking others and instead promoting respect and understanding.

I liken the situation to war, where of course you do not want to commit murder but sometimes the rules of engagement require it. I believe mocking the enemy is justified when done for the right cause and done not for the sake of being “mean” or for personal gratification, but for the sake of defeating evil.

We are not called to be doormats. If the enemy is using mockery against us, I think we can use it against them in order to defeat their evil schemes.

Valerie Curren
