Nice summary, Michael. I agree that China is probably very related to the shutdown. We have too many traitorous congresspeople who are in bed with China. But none of the DS entities want the wall. That’s where all their human trafficking and drug profits flow from. POTUS is closing down all their sources of income and their slush funds. The shutdown even keeps tax dollars out of some of those slush funds. If Q is right, and I think he is, they are very desperate and in panic mode. I’m sure that Pelosi and Schumer are both knee deep in it.

Somebody here wrote on it in the last week, the next thing(s) that need to be watched are the ports. Los Angeles would be a target since the rail lines are readily available going EVERYWHERE and that place is massive. I’d think Houston, Philadelphia, Miami and the other super big ones would be large enough to camouflage operations. The Florida Keys alone would be hard to watch as well as the bayous.

My “favorite” false meme after 2016 was the one that went around claiming that only 57 counties had voted for Hillary Klinton, with a county by county map. People reposted it endlessly on CTH after the election, and I kept calling them on it, to no avail.
The problem was, that map was ORIGINALLY posted to make the claim that half the population of the US lived in these 57 counties. I was able to find the meme with both captions.
The reason I immediately knew the 57 counties for Hitlary was a lie was my county was colored on it, and the reliably Democrat one to my south wasn’t. I was also aware that over 20 counties in Colorado alone voted for Hitlary, leaving only 37 in California and zero in the rest of the country to go for Hitlary. Plus, it was easy enough to find the real red/blue map.
Irritating on another level was the fact that county by county votes are even less meaningless than the aggregate popular vote, but people were jumping up and down as if it makes Trump the real winner (no, something else did!). All it does is point out that Leftism is a largely urban-sourced cancer, a useful observation in itself but one not at all surprising.
I say “aggregate popular vote” because, the way electoral votes are determined is on the basis of fifty six separate (some overlapping) popular vote counts. (And no, I’m not having an Obola moment, but rather accounting for the slightly different rules in Maine and Nebraska, that allocate a total of five of their nine EVs by congressional district.) The fifty six separate popular vote contests, weighted, decide the election, the aggregate (total) popular vote does not…and that’s a very good thing.

I don’t think she can go too wrong by going over President Trump’s executive orders and what they contain – which does look like what the title says.
She is very enthusiastic, but the piece is short on evidence backing up its claims. Just because an executive order might seem to enable the president to do something, that doesn’t mean he will do it, and it doesn’t mean it’s being planned at the moment. We might not even be interpreting the EOs correctly.
For example, #23 says the President must do the following actions to defend America, and then it’s her list of what she thinks should be done — not a list of things mandated by an executive order. Nor is it a list of things Pres. Trump has said he will do, nor is it a list of things Q has said must happen. Yet, at the beginning she says “Executive Orders show clear plans for MASS ARRESTS & MILITARY TRIBUNALS.” Well, not necessarily. EOs could be used to threaten mass arrests to accomplish a goal, without the arrests taking place. There are probably many possibilities for what might be going on.
This is the kind of thing that people use to say Q is a kook and a hoax and his followers are mad. We need to be very careful. Things are not always as they seem on the surface. They are often more complicated than we think because we lack insider knowledge.

Yes, and I can think of a number of possibilities that don’t involve those people actually being in jail.
It could be a warning to them about something else going on at the time, like a potential action they might take or instruct others to take, that they are being warned not to do.
It could be a warning to subordinates of those people who could spill the beans to keep THEMSELVES out of jail.
It could be a simple declaration that Pres. Trump knows those people belong in jail and he is doing all he can, but it doesn’t mean those particular people will necessarily go to jail. Pres. Trump can’t put the handcuffs on them himself, and the justice system’s requirements for evidence might not be met. Even if they are met, some conservatives like Dan Bongino don’t think Hillary will go to jail. He thinks some people in the FBI and DOJ are in major trouble and could serve time, but he doesn’t think those who pull the strings — or those for whom others have been pulling strings — will end up in jail.
I’m just saying that we need to use our imaginations, not to make things up, but to understand that things aren’t necessarily always as they seem and there are more possibilities than we realize.
I am thinking it’s quite likely he’s got some way of accomplishing that short of a declaration of martial law.

That has crossed my mind from time to time. And if there is an event that triggers the declaration, it will be compared to the Reichstag Fire, with the insinuation that it was a false flag on our part. PDJT had better be prepared with solid evidence that it’s not or some on our side might even wonder.
These two put together are why I can’t quite believe this is going to happen. We (as a nation) are just not psychologically prepared for it, and I would expect open revolt against it, maybe even from many people in the military. At the very least, many in the military will be profoundly uneasy about it.

The Left is trying to make it okay to censor conservative speech in all forms and to marginalize us so more and more people will think it’s acceptable to mistreat us and even harm us. They are also trying to intimidate people into not wearing Trump gear so it will look like Pres. Trump has lost supporters for the upcoming election. They want us afraid to speak up and to show support for all good things: American principles, the MAGA movement, Christianity, nationalism, etc. They want us to think our ranks are shrinking. The fight is only going to get more intense, and I think each of us will need to step up and do more in whatever form that might take. Unceasing prayer is needed, but also action and displays of support for Pres. Trump and our country. I’m encouraged by the young people I’ve seen lately wearing gear, standing up to bullies, making videos, and otherwise speaking up.
I swear, I don’t even like to wear hats, but I think I have to get a MAGA hat and wear it.

The whole thing is puzzling. All I see is pure hatred for Pres. Trump and his supporters. I don’t think the rank and file Leftists would be in on a big secret pertaining to RBG. They are just so blinded by hate that they can’t admit the truth. They are trying to turn America into a secular nation, so they hate Christians. They’re scared the SCOTUS will go conservative, and they are losing their minds. They have no grounding in any religious foundation that teaches humility, kindness, truth, selflessness, and sacrificial submission to a higher power. They become more like rabid animals every day.
As for RBG, I don’t understand how people think she could have died. How many people would have to be in on such a scheme? Every member of her immediate family for sure, and at least some of the SCOTUS justices. I would think Chief Justice Roberts, at least, would have spoken with her during all this time. Then there are the clerks and other helpers who would be perpetrating such a hoax by pretending RBG was working at home. It just doesn’t make any sense to me. The risks to those trying to pull it off are enormous and life-changing. If someone can outline how such a thing would work, please do. It would be very interesting.

Furthermore, who would get to decide who is a legitimate candidate deserving of government funding? I guarantee you no outsider and no third party candidate would ever receive a dime, and they’d probably be forbidden to spend their own money to make it fair between publicly funded candidate H and billionaire T.

Yes, I DO think employed 18-year-olds have the emotional maturity to vote.
I am always cautious about restricting votes of 18-year-olds and over. (That said, I was 21 when I was first eligible to vote. That was the law at the time.)

This notion of restricting votes is a slippery slope and is VERY LIKELY these days to skew LEFTWARD, regardless of what the hell it looks like on the surface.
For at least two decades, if not more, a not insignificant number of Englishmen would like to see it restricted to property owners ONLY, which would skew election results to the Left or to the elitist Right (globalist conservatives).
Here’s another European perspective. I had a conversation with a young Dutchman two years ago. He told me, ‘I cannot believe your country voted for Brexit’ followed by ‘Most people are TOO STUPID to vote’. Meaning, people who voted for Brexit — and, otherwise, the Conservative Party.

approximately 2 weeks ago or maybe 3, i made a post that got lost at the end of a daily thread. i then copied and pasted it into two other threads a few days later. the post was highlighting a 4chan thread i had read about this HR1 the very day it was first introduced (basically jan 3 or 4) and the bill text was not even on the congress website yet, but had been released from some office.
in that 4chan thread people were going through the document section by section detailing each item.
this bill is a whopper.
it codifies and protects ALL THEIR VOTE FRAUD TACTICS and takes away ANY repercussions, or investigative avenues that could find and track.
i suggest people read this bill – think everything we know about vote fraud, illegal alien voting, absentee ballots, early voting, and PROVISIONAL VOTES. imagine if they did away with provisional (which are supposed to be held aside and not counted until they are verified) and all became verified immediately? imagine if you could walk in and “register” without ID day of voting and be given a ballot right then and there. then you could go to the next town… the big issue with that was always the “CHANCE” you could get nabbed doing it when they checked your provisional data… not anymore.
This can’t be allowed. These people are a true threat to We the People.

Actually, after I was adopted between 3rd and 4th grade, I went to a Christian parochial school through the 9th grade, then to the jr. high and high school. I took voice lessons from a nun at the Catholic Church (who is still alive, btw – this was 50 years ago, around 1966, and she was old then to a 15 year old). As for studying world geographies and religions, I quit school at the beginning of my senior year so I missed all those classes, including government. I passed the test for my GED in 1974 and have had no other formal education outside of basic training and an occasional seminar or subject-specific training. It is not my intent to denigrate people from So. America but the fact is, many people in those countries are not even familiar with indoor toilets. I worked with a Salvadoran guy who used to go outside, take a dump and use the hose to clean himself off – he knew no better until someone told him. It is hard to comprehend that there are still many places like that in the world. It is a fact that many are simply not capable of living in the civilized world.

Yep, when I shop for a rifle, the sales clerk always asks me what size rifle do I need.
So I generally get a large size since they shrink somewhat once I wash them a few times.
I make sure I separate my rifles by color so they don’t run and ruin my ‘whites’.
however, I’ll need to reconsider the size of my next rifle since I’ve lost some weight the last time I bought one.
My wife buys her rifles in the woman’s section since their sizes run different than men’s ! I advise her to get a size 3 if she’s thinking of an AR-15, but a larger rifle like a 30-06 or 45-70 she’ll need a size 10.
But always keep in mind, that different brands run differently, so a Smith&Wesson is sized differently than say a Remington. Just some friendly advice for those shopping for your next rifle.

I don’t necessarily agree with the accusations in the indictments. Every interview I’ve heard with Roger Stone indicates the opposite.
Time will tell.
At this point, the fog is too thick to make heads or tails of where this came from and who ordered it. The anon indicated, that I recall, and VOAT goats also do, that Stone was one of the ones to be careful about.

Honest Research will likely show there is a connection between pushing MJ as a benign recreational/medicinal drug and the open borders, trafficking of people and substances across our borders.
Mj has never been benign. Well iver 20 yrs ago I did a college paper on legalization for strict medical purposes only. Multiple people challenged it in the classroom then one aftetward said het boyfriend was a drug dealer and it would ruin his income. Also, THC strips the fatty myelin sheath off the axon of brain cells, resulting in slower firing of said cells, ergo your increase in accidents, etc.
I have seen the damage MJ did to my neighbors who moved thank God to Florida. Drugs are very bad and one cannot just take a little . With alcohol most people can take a glass of wine with a meal and are ok but MJ or other drugs are so addictive.
Nonsense! This is not a one-way street here. Alcohol has done FAR more than anything else in life to cause heartache and despair in my family. I agree absolutely on kids. I don’t want y’all to think I am some nutjob druggie here. Over the years, I have tried a few “recreational” drugs – pot, speed, Black Beauties, LSD, coke (powdered and crack), crystal meth – and drank a LOT. Given my personal history, one would think I would be one who would be expected to be an addict or alcoholic. However, the only thing to which I have EVER been addicted is cigarettes. Somehow…..some way…..I avoided these pitfalls. I have been incredibly healthy all my life – only hospitalization was for tonsils, child birth, and measles in AIT. Never was one for pain killers or a lot of prescription drugs. Never had a problem with weight, can eat as much or as little as I like. Never been arrested for DUI, lost a job due to extracurricular activities, buy/sold anything to “get drugs,” etc. Even now, at almost 66, no health issues other than my emphysema (smoking) and minor arthritis. I have smoked pot off and on for over 40 years. I quit when I want (and yes, I do periodically quit just because I WANT to take a break – as with alcohol, over time, it takes more and more to affect you and becomes wasteful) or, in the past, if I was working at a job that tested. Why did I NOT become addicted and allow it to ruin my life? IDK – what, within myself, enabled me to not fall into that? Genetically, ALL of the women in my family are/were very, very strong willed and independent. Perhaps that is one factor.
I’m only commenting here as I’m flabbergasted. In my wildest imagination I cannot fathom ingesting an illegal substance, and I graduated HS in 1969. It’s an amazing list you’ve rattled off, a bunch of poison that you have no idea from where it came. When the SOLE purpose of a substance is to get high – as opposed to a nice wine, beer or spirit – it’s so very, very cold. I never think of alcohol on those terms “takes more and more to affect you”, as I’m not looking to be “affected”. And I completely disagree about MJ — it dulls your faculties, and your spirit as well.
Each to his own. It’s all good. I am just thankful I was able to withstand the lure of addiction. Now if I could just quit cigarettes – LOL!

In most cases of seniors who partake, you will find they treat it just like a nice glass of wine or a good, cold beer with pizza or such. I also enjoy those. They just smoke a joint or a bowl instead.

I am by no means advocating drug dealers on corners selling pot to the public and certainly not kids. And I do understand that the pot today is much stronger than years ago. I simply advocate for an individual to have the freedom to grow their own, on their own property, to be consumed in the privacy of their own home. It should not be allowed to be consumed out in the public due to the effects of 2nd hand smoke. If one’s neighbor has children, one should be considerate of not partaking in front of said children. Know your limits and don’t drive if you are too impaired to do so safely and legally. Simple, common sense rules, IMO.
The two ballot choices in Colorado were summarized as “treat pot like alchohol” and “treat pot like cigarettes.”

I am on some of the CDOT e mail lists and I was quite amused to find one of those e-mails warning people not to drive while impaired…but it was POT they were talking about, not alcohol. All the buzz words about responsible use, etc…but for pot, not booze.
One of the problems with alcohol right now is the additives like sulfates in wine. That stuff can mess with any system. Also, at this time in history the actual proof content is much higher than it has been in the past. One place I visited in Germany our tour guide told us of the sour wine everyone drank and it was their primary source of vitamin C. There are also cultural issues, namely that the taboo invites the misuse in the US. Other cultures make fun of us and our Puritanism over this.
It’s not as simple as it just being a drug. Personally, I don’t have a problem with medically controlled cannabis for a number of ailments, but I’m Leary regarding recreational use and misuse. Genetically, there is no telling what it will do to a person.
It’s tough for me to tell whether that was a simple typo for “leery” or a very, very clever pun.

In effect, the price paid for the comprehensibly attempted but partial enforcement of sobriety on American society was the utter corruption of America on all levels and in many, many ways. The worst aspects of American politics quite apart from Prohibition were a consequence of Prohibition.
Personal responsibility seems to have been subtracted from the discussion when it ought to be the central issue. The negative consequences of enforced sobriety arguably outweigh the benefits even still. And it has gotten to the point where even sensible people talk about drugs as if people were somehow helpless victims.
I’m with you sister. I’m so sorry about your daughter. I almost lost mine twice to opiate overdoses. MJ should’ve been legalized years ago. It’s safe and nonaddictive but it’s been forever used to line both the pockets of drug dealers and the legal system. It’s criminal that jails and prisons are filled with nonviolent recreational users. Legalization ends this travesty. (BTW, I’m NOT a user).

Once about 20 years ago, one of my neighbors (wealthy, good-looking, energetic petite little blonde woman) started selling ‘herbal supplements’.
Nothing would do her, but everyone buy these miraculous substances. She insisted that I must try a sample….so she presented me with what she just knew I needed.
I tried them and the first day, I completely cleaned my house from top to bottom, even washed the cars (we had two teen agers driving at the time).
Next day, I had heart palpitations and was so revved up, I thought I would die.
So I read about this ‘herb’ – Ma Huang. Turns out it is very dangerous.
When I returned the ‘samples’ to her, she was incensed – and poutingly said ‘these are only leaves and twigs’ 100% natural – nothing to hurt anyone.
Turns out – ALL – lethal poisons known to man are 100% natural. Including Ricin made from the Castor bean plant – my grandpa used those beans to kill rats.
I just don’t trust folks who say that about MJ. MJ has some caused adverse reactions, plus has common longterm negative brain/emotional/behavioral side effects – and it also might have been bad for your daughter as well.
I am so sorry for your loss. I have a daughter with a progressive neurodegenerative disease – and it’s our 35th year since diagnosis. Long haul. Lots of pain. So I have great sympathy for your pain. Hugs and love…G/F

On a side note….my one experience with chrystal meth was a lifechanger – I literally thought I was going to die. I have done NO other drugs besides MJ ever since (1982) and I quit drinking (more than once a month or so) over 15 years ago. It is our business when people take drugs even if it is Pot when it affects others.
My neighbors did pot and the kids stole broke into homes to steal. They were involved in car accidents and became losers. Our tax $ paid for treatment not once but several times. They will be in taxpayers pockets the rest of their lives. They went from Pot to harder stuff like Oxy and salts.

My wife tells a childhood tale about the school bus dropping all her sisters and the neighborhood BFFs at the end of her farm driveway. A pack of pet dogs would meet them all tail wagging and barking.
Accompanied by a full grown sheep ram who thought he was a dog. Of course the ram copied the dogs that liked to jump up on human friends. Of course the ram’s friendship target would be taken down like a SWAT arrest (ram weighed about 300 lbs).
Funniest tale of the dog-ram was getting in the car to go somewhere. Five or six kids all clambering to be in the “best” seat. The dogs would try to take advantage of the mayhem by sneaking in but a negative yell from one of the kids would back the dog out. Not so the ram. He would barge in there like he was the size of a young lamb and sit on as many laps as he needed to cover his laying-down real estate. Then the kids would have to get out of the car on the other side and the ram would follow. All but one kid would go around to the other side and get in and close the door. The last kid would race around the car and squeeze in a barely opened car door, with bleating musical accompaniment.
The ram would then realize what was going on and turn to the dogs and start playing.

Andrew McCarthy made an interesting point on one of the Stone indictments.
One charge stems from an email Stone wrote to Corsi, in which Stone said, hey, i hear info is coming out on the Clinton Foundation, we gotta find out what is going on.
FBI used this in their indictment to infer Stone had privileged information as to what Wikileaks was doing.
Andrew McCarthy points out, referencing page 4 of the indictment, Stone was blind carbon copied on an email from James Rosen (former FOX reporter who had his phone tapped by Obama Admin) to James Ortel (who had done volumes of research on the Clinton Foundation). In the email from Rosen to Ortel, Rosen says, hey, I hear info is coming out on the Clinton Foundation, have you heard anything?
Well, the fact that Stone received a blind carbon copy of the email goes to how Stone knew about anything coming out and DOES NOT imply Stone had privileged relationship with Wikileaks.
That’s one of the indictments.
Another indictment revolves around FBI claim Stone was instructed to check with Wikileaks by someone in the Trump Campaign. Jessica Tarlov claims this is Bannon, who instructed Stone. Stone says NO, and says he ‘corrected’ that misperception in his testimony, and he was NEVER instructed by anyone in the Trump campaign.
Another indictment around witness tampering centers around a talk show host Credico, and Stone’s threat to kidnap his dog. Even though the FBI maintains Credico told Stone to tell the whole truth.
Thus, no witness was actually ‘tampered’.
Let’s see what else drips out.

No, Pete, it’s boxes the Dems in. They said no negotiation unless government reopened. So it is. Now they have 3 wks to show good faith – of course, they won’t – but, that’s allows POTUS to bring in his heavy artillery. I think this move by POTUS does a lot. They keep trying to goad him into acting rashly–going straight for the throat (declare a nat’l emergency) but he has shown maturity and patience–he really wants both sides to work together imo. The left is waiting for a power grab–because that’s what they would do–but he negotiates…they can’t really sell the “chaotic, uncontrolled mind set” they need to impeach. He is acting very Presidential and not like a dictator.
Right. He negotiates and they’re stompy feet. He is also doing everything within the letter of the law and no overreach. If he goes the route of State of Emergency, “maybe” the judiciary steps in, but that’s a big problem – the Judicial branch interfering with the Executive Branch.
A lower court isn’t going to get away stopping POTUS protecting the country, this isn’t about amnesty – it’s about border security – and there’s another caravan on the way? SCOTUS gets called on? They’ve got a problem – can’t tell POTUS he can’t protect the country.
Agreed, he’s not giving up and is exhausting his own patience in this matter to demonstrate to a higher court that he tried everything to work it through the legislative branch before he has to force this by executive fiat. A higher court would want to know that he exhausted every opportunity given him.

No President in modern history has worked harder to resolve this problem.
In October of 2017, President Trump, rather than unilaterally ending DACA, gave Congress 6 months to come to a resolution and fix our broken immigration system.
The deadline was March 3, 2018.
In late January of 2018, Senator Schumer shut down the government over the issue of illegal immigration, even when President Trump offered resolution for 1.8 million DACA recipients in exchange for, border wall funding, merit based VISAS, end to chain migration, end to VISA lottery.
To avoid the March 3rd deadline, the Dems sought out a friendly judiciary, to satisfy their political goals, rather than legislating.
This January, 2019, we find ourselves in the same predicament, with a broken immigration system, and no resolution from Congress.
Our problem is Congress, and a Dem party + media, who chose to focus on the 800K fed workers as victims, rather than Americans, who are all victims of illegal immigration.

Since I’m a consultant and work from home, the only time I wear a tie is at weddings and funerals.
However, since I was a wee lad that attended Catholic grade/high school (yep I’m one of ‘those people’ and I do have a smirk on my face), I had to wear a tie from first grade all the way through work retirement..many, many years. I was taught the art of tie protocol; that is when you wear a tie, the bottom of the tie is suppose to cover the belt buckle. So what I did was measure the length of his tie in that pic with two tic marks on a piece of paper and added a smidge (a highly technical term) to compensate for the bow caused by the breeze. I then placed the tic marks from the top of the tie at his neck and by golly the tip of his tie falls right at the bottom of the belt buckle. Impeccable dresser just like his wife. The 4 things my Catholic education taught me; tie protocol, how to smirk, don’t piss off Sister Mary Tabernacle, and how to sneak a sip of wine when preparing the sacraments for the Church Mass as an altar boy.

That is good to know.
If that is not true, the recent decision by SC to reach down on the Trans in the military issue that was stuck in lower courts and plucked up bodes well in crisis situation. It now allows the administration via the military to continue to implement their plan until such time as the court would hear the case in about a year. That is encouraging. Also has little doubt a very strong case can be made recognizing that we are indeed in a crisis and have been for quite some time and this crisis is not political but quite real with real world implications for the country.

My friend also pointed out that the President is a very caring person, he actually has been very concerned about people without their paychecks. She works with someone whose husband is in security in the government, no paychecks, but working.
It these working men and women of America the President wanted to help. In the meantime, he did not lose today. In 3 wks if the Dems haven’t done what’s necessary, then he’ll take the next step.
Makes no sense to throw one’s self off a bridge, just have to climb that much higher back up the cliff.

I started missing them (never thinking there was such a thing as being banned there, esp. those like Wheatietoo who had been there when I first got there in 2015) and had no idea what happened to them.
Then just happened to catch a quick comment one day where someone mentioned the missing folks had followed wolfmoon to a new site. Went back to find an old post of wolf’s with his original blog link on it, and found the folks here…and then also learned they were banned over there. My reaction: whaaaaatt????
I made a quick post here just saying I was glad to find them. Then, later that day made a post at CTH – only to discover I was suddenly in moderation. (never had been before.) Tried again later. Still in moderation. Sent an email to ad rem and was removed from moderation.
I’ve never been banned, but rarely spend time there anymore. I prefer it here. Though I don’t post a lot, I read everything posted.
Still read a bit over there, but don’t enjoy it anymore. And I can still post there.
Just putting this here so you know that you should be able to be like me – a squirrel who can jump from one tree to another. But you may also find – as I have – a growing preference for this tree.

I know it’s wrong to wish ill on anyone, especially when they just lost their jobs, but the honest part of me says otherwise. These people have been part of doing harm to not only POTUS, but to our country/culture at large.
Therefore, no sympathy. Maybe they should go to trade school, get some real training and they’ll have jobs for life.
Took a quick look over some of those let go, and it seems the papers are culling older reporters (heyyyy, I thought they were all about non-discrimination….not).

This move by the President is reminiscent of the Kavanaugh compromise, where PDJT called for another brief FBI investigation (one week) to satisfy RINO senators and call the Dems on their constant “we need the FBI to investigate” dribble! But the President stood by his man and he is now Justice Kavanaugh.
In the current situation, he has also given Congress a three week deadline to bring him a bill with wall funding, while temporarily ending the shutdown. Good news—this leaves Nancy no excuses regarding the SOTU. Bad news—the President will get hammered for a week related to “caving”, given no credit for ending the shutdown, and the MSM will own the narrative with Nancy and Chuck taking endless victory laps. It will be a long three weeks—long enough for another manufactured event by the Left to control the message!

If the President must resort to a State of Emergency declaration, it is good to know it will go directly to the SC if a legal move is made by the Left to contest his action (no 9th Circuit). Cheers Wheatie, looking at 500 – 1000mm of rainfall over the next few days here in the OZ tropics where there is no such thing as being dry at this time of year, is lovely though as brings the temp down to under 30C but living off grid have low power and roads are cut off so it’s backgammon, Yahtzee and trying to keep the dog amused! Too dark and noisy (tin roof) for anything else! Love it!

Thank you for speaking up. (I’ve been battling on another site today.) The kind of negativity you were responding to was not allowed at CTH when I first started reading there.
I went over there yesterday evening and read SD’s post “Post Bail – Roger Stone” article, and then this AM I see there were more last night. In the posts, he takes on Epoch Times and Jeff Carlson, @ theMarketsWork. If one goes to Jeff’s twitter from last night, you’ll see Jeff’s responses to SD/CTH. IMO, Jeff is an astute individual, also a good analyst.
That said, you say SD is MAGA, but I’m having trouble seeing that in the almost half doz. posts from him last night. Basically, it appears that SD, under the guise of wanting to keep people informed as to the truth – has thrown in the towel. Around every corner is another the Dems have won.
It’s not the commenters fault that they feeling down and out, it’s the articles themselves presenting the “We Lost” narrative.
I think SD supports the MAGA agenda as far as policies such as trade, foreign policy, immigration etc. The main difference is how he thinks the DOJ/FBI corruption will play out. Many hope there is a plan, Q for example. Declassification and document release. SD appears to believe that the politics of it all prevents PT from doing much about it.
I would just say PT has to do something about it otherwise he will not get re-elected and they will then destroy him and his family. It will just be a matter of timing.

Agency and organizational leaders are appointed officials. They are not meant to make public statements attacking elected officials. The interests of agency employees are meant to be represented by unions and ad hoc organizations, not by appointed officials.
There’s an obvious conflict of interest there.
The FBI Director has the right to let his people know that he cares and what he’s doing to see to it that they get paid. He does not have the mandate to attack government policy. Especially at a time when the FBI is already deeply politicized and has been caught participating in a coup against the elected government.
Wray expressing anger over the government shutdown and condemning the “mind-boggling” and “short-sighted” shutdown is unacceptable. It’s understandable for someone working for the government to feel that way, individually. But a public statement on the Bureau site, complete with video, is a basic violation and politicization of the Bureau’s mission.
And it’s another reason why the FBI now has a worse image than it did at the lowest point of the Hoover era.

I watched the whole video, and I understand why people are saying it wasn’t appropriate. On the other hand, I believe it was intended as an internal video for the FBI, with the director talking directly to the agents only, letting them know he understands their frustration at not being paid and that he is doing what he can to help their situation. He didn’t lay blame on anyone specifically for the shutdown but just expressed anger at the cost to the agents. His purpose was to let them know he has their back. I don’t think his purpose was to criticize Pres. Trump specifically. I’ve seen news organizations take it out of context, though, of course.

San bernardino terror attack dupe Enrique marquez wants to withdraw a guilty plea.
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (CN) – The California man who pleaded guilty to supplying the rifles used in the deadly 2015 San Bernardino terror attack said Friday he wants to withdraw his guilty plea as his defense gathers evidence that will be filed this year.
Enrique Marquez pleaded guilty to supplying the two rifles used by Syed Rizwan Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik, who killed 14 people and injured 22 others on Dec. 2, 2015, at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino. Both Farook and Malik were killed in a shootout with police shortly after the attack.
Marquez entered a not guilty plea in 2016 but reached a deal the following year in which he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists, including guns and explosives, and making false statements in connection with the acquisition of firearms, according to court documents.
Federal prosecutors maintain Marquez did not plan the shooting but purchased the guns and explosives for Farook, his childhood friend. Marquez was arrested about two weeks after the shooting.
Sentencing for Marquez has been delayed multiple times and in June 2018 his public defender Amy Karlin cited a conflict of interest and stepped away from the case. Riverside-based attorney John Aquilina was assigned from the Federal Indigent Panel.
On Friday, Marquez appeared in a Riverside federal courtroom in a white prison jumpsuit with his attorney before U.S. District Judge Jesus Bernal.
Aquilina said he plans to file evidence in May that will allow his client to request to withdraw his guilty plea to the first count. He asked for more time to collect evidence as there have been delays but expects that collection to take about 90 days.
Bernal asked about the nature of the evidence being collected. Responding in general, Aquilina said only that the evidence will support Marquez’s request to change his plea.
Aquilina expects a portion of the motion will be filed under seal which will include a declaration from Marquez.
“What is the general basis of the evidence?” Bernal pressed Aquilina.
“Mr. Marquez acknowledged his guilt. At this time, he’s denying his guilt to count one,” Aquilina said. He added the motion was not being made on a “whim” but additional time is needed because the previous evidence gathered was focused on other issues.
Aquilina said he was not able to go into detail in open court. Bernal asked if the motion pertained to Marquez’ competence but Aquilina only said not as it is “defined in the law.”
Federal prosecutors said they did not object to the additional time Marquez needs to file his motion. Aquilina declined to comment outside the courtroom.
Under his guilty plea, Marquez faces 25 years in prison for his role in the deadly shooting.
