Besides, simply asking for additional information, seems harmless. More like, most appropriate. Seeking information from one with additional insights, knowledge… is a compliment.
It’s interesting that some immediately assumed that was a joke. Yet there are no smiling, winking, or laughing emoji. On its face it looks like a disparagement of some of the people in this community.
There have been plenty of indications from the past to take it at face value, which are apparent when looked at without filters.
Seeing things without filters is what we need people to do politically so they can understand what’s really going on. We also need to do that in our daily lives. We might find that our assessments of the motives and character traits we think people possess need to be adjusted.
As a Tech Writer/Editor at Dell, our Pubs Lead encouraged us to boost the communication method when there was a risk of misunderstanding the intentions of a written communication. So, if someone’s written words seem harsh, give that person a phone call or stop by their office (if possible) to speak face to face. Increasing the ability to discern someone’s vocal intonations or facial expressions often clarify intent.

On my iMac’s Calendar application, it lets you subscribe to different calendars and create them. I have not done that in a long time. We could create a MAGA calendar and add it there to let others subscribe. I’m sure MSoft would want to do feature matching, but I don’t keep a windows machine running here unless I am doing a Windows-based project.

i was tying to remember our kids’ high school graduations. they were always in the evenings because parents work. but perhaps it’s the travel time to get there (?) that is the sticking point?
college graduations were on Saturdays or Sundays.
high school was easy–they both went to the same high school (we are a blended family) but college was difficult. hubby attended one and i attended the other…not optimal but they were on the same day.
On article indicated the ceremony will be on May 17❗️, which is a Friday. I don’t know what time.
I remember it the same.
3 of our kids’ HS graduations were at a community amphitheater belonging to the city. When our youngest graduated the city had rented facilities at a neighboring community center as our old place was torn down & the new one was either under construction or perhaps didn’t even include such a large amphitheater. It would be a pretty big deal to attempt to change a date/time &/or venue so close to when the event is already scheduled.
Depending on the venue, that might be a challenge. My class graduated on a Sunday afternoon at what we call the Old Cathedral on the Arch grounds. The Church had been reserved for well over a year. The next year, my sister’s class refused to go to the Old Cathedral, and wanted to graduate from the Cathedral (it wasn’t designated a basilica yet). Our school’s time slot had been given to another school. In the end, a new slot was created, but only because the time was open.
One of my nephews went to a private school and they graduated from a ballroom at a private club in New Orleans.
Two of my brothers graduated HS from the Symphony Hall. It’s a big tradition.
Barron goes to a private school. If they don’t have the space for the ceremony, and are renting one, just changing the date and time could very well be an issue.

I’m not saying Flynn is not a patriot. All I’m saying is that the arguments presented don’t hold water, IMO.
I don’t know that Flynn self-inmolated, knowingly and on purpose, in a plot to save the country. Maybe I’ve forgotten details, but I don’t know how the events surrounding the accusations against him furthered the cause of restoring America. I don’t remember anyone saying, “Thank goodness that happened to Flynn; otherwise, this other thing would not have been accomplished.”
Theories of people sacrificing themselves, their reputations, and even their livelihoods abound, with no evidence. Mike Pence is not a hero who acted to wake people up or save the country. Neither are others who people, without evidence, decide must be part of a plan.

I imagine he is privy to a lot of classified information, but I don’t know what, if any, role he might be playing. If anyone can describe how things are different and how America is in the process of being saved because of Flynn and what has happened with him, please post it.
The only thing I can say about Flynn is an observation of my own.

I didn’t see your bleach comment before writing mine 🙂 I thought of it because I was at my oldest son’s earlier tonight & their oldest daughter suffers from a similar skin condition that her mom & mom’s bro also had as kids. They have tried many things, none of which fully work. Lately it’s a bleach bath twice a week (w/ a teaspoon of bleach per gallon of water, iirc). That’s what had it on my mind 🙂

Wife watches all those korean cooking channels. Started to Insist on vinegar 2yrs ago. Last I remember in the 80’s korea was using human waste for fertilizer (not charred bodies, like they are starting to use here in WA and NY I think… ) so maybe they still use that and then need it. For me, if you wash it with water and it squeaks when you rub it, it’s clean, but not going to argue with her or I could end up planted in the garden. 😆

For those who remember the entire rhyme, there’s also “w”.
My favorite hangman word is “cwm”, which is an alternate spelling of “coomb”, and means a rounded valley. Make sure it’s in whichever dictionary is being used before you spring it on someone. It is featured in “CWM FJORD-BANK GLYPHS VEXT QUIZ” — a mythical headline for an article about a game show host being annoyed by mystic writings where a rounded valley meets an inlet from the sea — and is also an expression which uses all 26 letters of the alphabet once.
People generally avoid playing hangman with me. I’ll whip out things like “rhyme” and “zymurgy” in a friendly game, but drop words like “why” and “cwm” if things are serious.

One of the fun things about making model engines is learning about materials choices — and how, sometimes, they are quite arbitrary. In the case of Dr. Bob’s engine, the decision was made to make the crankcase and heads out of air.
Mind you, it’s kind of tricky to do so — the crankshaft bearings have to be high quality and able to run dry, as do the camshaft and valve lifters — normally, these are just immersed in a bath of lubrication.
But it makes for a cool demonstration engine.
You could chamber it in .9mm.
(It’s a running joke amongst gun people now since some news media graphic referenced .9mm and .223mm. Apparently someone decided all calibers start with a decimal point and end in mm, rather than just one of the two options.)
