It has taken away the simple tools and replaced them with a bunch of needlessly complicated BS.

When you’re in WordPress making your Monday thread, if you click on the three vertical dots at the top right of the WordPress screen, you’ll get a new column appearing to the right of the screen.
If you’ll go to the bottom of that screen, you’ll see an option to switch to the Classic Editor.

Type “image” into the search at the top of the toolbox! Then select the one retrieval. From there, you can enter a URL, choose from the media library, upload, etc.
I don’t have one of those.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, I’ll show you a picture. But this is in the block editor, adding a new block, e.g., by hitting Return and then clicking into a line. You see the “plus” on the right end. Then you click on that, and you get a SMALL collection of items to choose from.

Yeah, the new toolbox sucks. Fastest way to a tool you like is to SEARCH for it. But the “commonly used toolbox” is way too small, so I’m constantly searching for ones I just used. It’s pretty ridiculous.

I’ll bet FL Melania has to get him new clothes all the time.
For example, that white jacket looks like it just barely fits him…when it probably fit him just fine a few months ago.
Younglings like to wear big, oversized jackets.
And when you get up above 6′ 2″, it’s harder to find the bigger sizes.
By the size of his feet…I think Barron is going to still keep growing.
It’s hard not to be a bit ‘clumsy’ when you’re growing that fast.
And self-conscious.
People think being tall is great.
But unless you’re a basketball player…it’s not really all that great.
I had a post-college roommate (I moved back to the place I went to college after a year in the real world) who was something like 6’11”. He wore size 17 shoes — when I first saw one of his sandals, I thought it was a D&D prop.
It gets difficult after about 6’2″; it gets ugly after about 6’9″ — and only certain manufacturers make up to a size 17 shoe — if you’re size 18, there’s nothing but custom. If he weren’t the son of a billionaire, I might worry about that.

The guy I knew grew up in the Central Valley of California, in a pretty rural portion. When he’d go home from school…….oh, wait…..
One time we went on a road trip in my car — a 1979 Ford Mustang. The sun had set, so we thought that he could spell me for driving. So, we’re zooming down the road — he’s got the seat back as far as it would go, and he’s got the seat back somewhat reclined to give himself more space, a little bit hunched over because his head hits the headliner, but he’s sitting dead upright on the reclined seat…..because every time his torso reclined more than an inch his left knee turned the headlights off. That didn’t last very long.
So, my bud drove a pickup most of the time, because it was something he could drive without contortionism. And when he’d drive home from school breaks, there was a particular flower stand outside town where he’d stop and buy a bunch of roses. He’d stop in at female friend’s houses along the way and see if they were home, and — if they were, they got a rose. When he got to his parents’ place, his mom got all that were left. Just a super-nice guy — and not only to the fairer side. If you needed anything, he was always ready to help — and good company if you were just shootin’ it.
Mind you, I gradually learned details like the time some classmate decided to tease him and take his stuff — and got shotputted into some bleachers (ending up in the seventh row). But I never knew him to be less than extraordinarily kind.
I don’t think my friend was outright monetizing his size. But I think his size did force him to develop in ways he otherwise wouldn’t have. And that led him to be the friendliest, most reliable, nicest person possible.
Your buddy sounds a lot like my big sweetie.
He brings me flowers for no reason and is the most kind and considerate gentle giant I have ever met.
He will take abuse from shorter guys, because “They’re too little to hit”…and he doesn’t want to take a chance that he would put them in a hospital.
After we were first married, I noticed that he would sometimes get up suddenly, leave the room, stand there for a few minutes…then come back.
So one time I asked him…”Did you forget why you got up?”
Him: “No dear, I had to fart and I didn’t want to subject you to it.”
Having grown up in a house full of boys who engaged in farting contests…that struck me as extraordinarily considerate.

So I have to watch him when it comes to our finances.
But he is my dearly beloved and I feel so fortunate that we found each other.

We have a couple of male friends that are gentle giants….one was the state police body guard for a NY Governor…pretty intimidating.
. The other, a much closer friend with whom we traveled, showed us a lot of “size challenges” …can only shop in the a Big and Tall stores, have only own the oversized Wagon-type cars, then there’s beds, toilets, close quarter accommodations (such as on a cruise ship) to be endured, and he traveled a great deal in his business…okay when you can fly First Class but those little commenter planes are impossible, etc. First time I visited Japan with the “bathing stools” about 1’ from the floor and sitting/kneeling on the floor for so many things…I thought “Xxxx could never come here!”
We “shorties” have our own challenges, as well, but I think not as many as the tall folk.
He’s carrying himself as if he were 20 in that shot. Very impressive. I wonder if mom has him running around the White House balancing books on his head.
I’ve heard a rumor that he is a rated chessplayer. He’s getting educated in the old and classic ways.
Maybe one of his secret service guys doubles as a coach…and keeps him active.
I dated the son of a very rich guy when I was a teen…and his bodyguard also served as his ‘trainer’.
The bodyguard taught him martial arts and weapons handling too…which is something that most teenage boys are eager to learn.
Sometimes it was like that movie where Kato would attack Clouseau to keep him on his toes.

We’ve only been keeping records on these things for a few hundred years.
This is not even recorded temperature.
It is “adjusted” temperature.
It is selectively selected temperature readings, which they claim needs to be “homogenized” against “nearby” (often hundreds and even thousands of miles away) stations. This in reality means an upwards adjustment when the readings do not conform to the pre-detirmined increase.
This can be verified by taking the raw preadjusted temperature measurements of a station and comparing this to the final adjusted value, which often turns a temperature decrease in an increase or at least increase a moderate increase value into a steeper one.
And I’m not sure I’d trust those older measurements. And Death Valley probably only has records back to the 1850s or so anyway.
I get kind of impatient with hottest ever claims, even when they’re technically true. When I hear a claim like that about our local weather, It invariably turns out it was only the “hottest August 16th” in history. There may have been hotter August 15ths and August 17ths within the last five years, is the difference between August 15th and August 16th really meaningful? Is a difference of a week even truly meaningful? Is it meaningful to rave about how July 3rd was the hottest ever this year when last year July 5th was even hotter?
Especially since, if this had not been a leap year, yesterday would have been August 17th, not 16th? (In other words a one day difference that makes all the difference to people willing to proclaim a heat record often depends on the accidental fact that leap years fall on years divisible by 4 (for the most part) rather than those with a remainder of 1, or 2 or 3 when divided by 4.) So because Julius Caesar did his thing in reforming the calendar in 45BC instead of a year earlier, or later, it has an effect on which actual days you’re comparing, year to year.
As it happens, the hottest temperature ever recorded, on any day, anywhere on earth, was Furnace Creek, at 134 °F (56.7 °C) on July 10, 1913, as well as the highest recorded natural ground surface temperature on Earth at 201 °F (93.9 °C) on July 15, 1972. So they are making a big deal about the hottest day ever recorded in August anywhere on earth.

In your house is fine, no plastic bag, no excess humidity. It spins up and gets pretty warm inside laptop during processing, so even if your home heats to 85 degrees is should be ok. Just not next to fireplace or hot water heater, and NO dishwasher! 😜

I began reading CTH & Q Tree after the Sundance & Q split. I only know the general info is that Sundance does not tolerate anything about Q. I read both but don’t deep dive into all the info or try to decipher the Q Nostradamus-like postings, nor follow those that try decipher Q’s enigmatic postings. I found both very interesting. So I’ve been thinking….
Could Sundance and Q be connected? People working together to wise up people to how deep is the Deep State? Sundance seems to concentrate on documented evidence of the evil doings of Obama’s CIA/DOJ. Q seem to be more focussed on the child trafficking, which Sundance doesn’t ( I have not gone years back in the CTH postings). Sundance’s vituperation of Q is over the top and Q doesn’t refer to the CTH or Sundance. Two different ways to appeal to different types of people.
I’m just wondering and probably way off base on my musings.

He says the fight with the CIA started in the mid 1950s when President Truman asked his grandfather, Joseph Kennedy, to serve on a commission called “The Hoover Commission.”
Their task was to look at the CIA, because the CIA was not originally chartered to engage in paramilitary activities, fixing elections, murdering world leaders, and interfering with the democracies of other countries.
Mr. Kennedy mentioned that the CIA was created with great reluctance by both Democrats and Republicans, because the precursor to the CIA, the “Office of Strategic Services,” a military secret intelligence agency, was liquidated after WWII, because the belief at the time was that secret police organizations were inconsistent with a democracy ruled by a Constitution.

But Alan Dulles, the first director of the CIA, apparently had other plans, and soon they were overthrowing democracies in Guatemala, Iran, and all over the world. So when Joseph Kennedy was on the Hoover Commission, he recommended dismantling the CIA.

Over the weekend, San Juan Mayor and noted Trump-hater Carmen Yulín Cruz of the Popular Democratic Party (PDP) was defeated in her primary bid for the Puerto Rican governorship to Carlos Delgado.
As of Sunday night, Delgado led with 60% of the vote, followed by Senator Eduardo Bhatia with 23%, and Cruz received only 13%.

Instructing anyone to hinder an FIB investigation (I’d be surprised if there has been any real FIB investigation in a hundred years, if ever) is textbook obstruction of justice, and unlike ‘collusion’, I’m pretty sure ‘obstruction of justice’ is a real criminal offense.
Anyone following such an instruction, and actually hindering an FIB investigation, would likewise be committing ‘obstruction of justice’.
It seems like poor strategy to commit felony obstruction of justice pursuant to attempting to overthrow the President of the United States, in order to get fired.
