Hubby actually met him several years ago in the elevator of the hospital on the day I had the 9 hr neurosurgery. Dr. Marik was talking to a statistician. Marik is highly regarded and his work on Sepsis was published in our local newspaper.
Dr. Marik’s COVID discussions are sound medically and make sense. Well worth reading.

Yeah, Marik is behind the curve on the fact that the current mRNA vaccines are actually WORSE than the disease for the elderly and immunocompromised.
We really need Novavax out there for comparison – it is likely to be the first vaccine that makes sense for what he’s talking about, BUT I am thinking that the Hotez and Stoecker vaccines are even more likely to actually work (somewhat), e.g., for certain risk populations, but even then they need to be PROVEN not to be ADE risks (Hotez is the big harper about ADE, so we have to watch that he’s not seduced to the dark side on his own vaccine if it’s a failure), and again NONE of these vaccines should be used for mass vaccination.
Ivermectin and HCQ are how to save the most vulnerable for longer, IMO.
Wolfie, at this point I doubt that I would WILLINGLY take another vaccine of any type. They have completely lost my trust!
For years, I would do the “flu snort” (FluMist) inhaled vaccine out of my own pocket rather than the injected flu vaccine (which would have been covered by insurance), because I wanted to encourage the technology.
Now, about the only vaccine I see myself getting is rabies.

You need D3 to absorb calcium. Dr. Northrup recommends eating foods with calcium as the day goes on to be sure you get enough. Spinach, dairy, broccoli are all rich in calcium.
You need to do your research on what to take together and what not to take together. For example vitamin C and Zinc should be taken separately. (1/2 hr min)
I know about taking the zinc and magnesium separately and that D3 aids in calcium absorption, but I am pretty sure I read that too much together was bad. May have been collagen…my bad.
Ask your pharmacist. IIRC they are trained to spot drug interactions that doctors would not catch.

Indeed. This is just outrageous for a leader to say.
At least that leader says it ours will not tell the truth. How are they going to get out if they cannot travel to the Airport and are held up in isolation around the city of Kabul or other places? I do not think the military is going in an look for a hairpin in a haystack.
They should have evacuated US citizens before vacating the airbases. Those who did not wanted to get out good luck but give them the chance.
Remember people were told to stay in place. They are stuck not able to get to the airport because of Taliban roadblocks. No one can help them if they did not get out to the Airport or if they are stuck in other parts of Afghanistan.

What business can a civilian possibly have, in Afghanistan, that is so important that it’s worth risking his life over, and requires living outside of a U.S. military base, which means behind enemy lines?

I suspect that Special Forces could help each and every one of them, if they were allowed to do so.
The simplest solution is to simply retake Kabul and the surrounding territory. It’s not like we don’t have the manpower, the equipment, the skills, the ability, knowledge of the battle space, knowledge of the enemy, etc.
That would be a lot easier than whatever you call what they’re doing now.
But nothing that is happening is an accident, so if they intended to save anybody, they wouldn’t have turned tail and ran in the first place.

Since yours truly isn’t an attorney, perhaps people who don’t want to be forced / coerced into getting the “vaccine” may want to consider printing a copy of the Clinical Trials documents referenced above and run them past their own attorney. However, one would think that ANY employer / school / hospital / mayor / governor, etc., that is “requiring” people to get the “vaccine” are liable for damages — since the official description of the “vaccines” to the Federal government as listed on the documents is “EXPERIMENTAL.”

As I may have said on prior occasions, I am very action-oriented. It drives me nuts to feel like there is nothing I can DO about a given situation. So I try to find the thing I can do, whatever it is.
A couple of days ago, I was getting some junk food (I know, I know) and there was this elderly man in line. The old guy was really struggling to use the card reader, to the point the management needed to help him. Of course, he was wearing a mask. When he turned and I saw it, I muttered under my breath, “take that thing off.” Which was when I noticed his UN-MASKED and obviously frustrated wife a few feet away. I am sure she hadn’t heard me, but she looked him right in the eye and said “take that damned mask off!”
Standing there, seeing her so frustrated by his fear, my light bulb went off. What could I do in that situation to help these poor old people? He is scared, she obviously isn’t, but they are both old and at a greater risk from every virus, not just covid.
And it hit me, the thing I could do. I am having a business card printed TODAY. It will have an eye-catching sunshine graphic on the back, and the following on the front:

Anybody who believes that “amnesty” would be given to ANY person connected with the former Afghan government in ANY way is a fool. Even if the Taliban were, say, bribed with $$$$ by desperate former Afghan government employees.
Anybody who believes that “nobody will be harmed” is a fool. There are already executions going on in Kabul and other locations of Afghans who were connected to the U.S. military and/or the former government.
Now, about “women’s rights under Islamic law”:
Under Islamic law (which is indistinguishable from Sharia Law), women are considered to be second- or third-class people, notwithstanding Sura verses and Hadith discussions about how females, being also creatures of Allah, must be respected.
Under Islamic law, a woman can only inherit a maximum 1/3 of her late husband’s Estate.
Under Islamic law, a woman is subject to the “direction” of her closest make relative — first, her father; then, her husband; then, as a widow, her eldest son (or her eldest brother if there are no male children). A widow can literally be forced into a new marriage if the successor closest male relative decides this.

She cannot institute divorce proceedings unless she can prove that she is not the sole reason why the marriage is in trouble.

I need help! My son and DIL are expecting their first child (a boy) at Christmastime, which puts her at about 5 months. Her family have all been vaccinated and are pressuring her to get it and she wants to get it. My son has been pleading with her not to get it. He has shown her all the videos I send him from doctors explaining the dangers of the vaccine, but she doesn’t believe them.
Her OBGYN told her, when she asked, that getting the vax would be a good idea. Every time she talks to one of her family members, they tell her she needs to get it and her pregnant friends, who’ve gotten the vax, tell her they got it and all is fine. But I know and my son knows that, in the long run, it will most likely not be fine. My son is exasperated and feels he’s in a Catch-22! He knows he will be blamed if she or the baby get sick and have complications, but also knows he could lose her and the baby if she gets the vax.
Does anyone here know what treatment for, or prevention of, Covid is safe during pregnancy? She takes prenatal vitamins, so I don’t know if any additional vitamins would be helpful or harmful. Also, is Ivermectin, HCQ, or Quercetin safe during pregnancy? Online sources, of course, say not to take Ivermectin, etc. Since she is 28, I don’t think she is at risk from Covid, but it would help us calm her anxiety if there was a known safe treatment in case she does get sick.

Just my two cents what it is worth , the decision is hers and her husbands alone if she takes the shot or not. This is not her parents decision.
This is no longer just her body it is also the babies body and since her husband is the father it is his decision also if she gets the shot.

There are some reservations re: quercetin in pregnancy, but NOT for food sources. So I could wholeheartedly recommend elderberry syrup, green tea, red onions and the like without worry.
Ivermectin is more risky for pregnancy, but hydroxychloroquine appears to be an option if she got sick, especially since she is past the first trimester:

All-in-all, I would recommend NO vaccine during pregnancy. The risk of miscarriage is just too high. And who knows the long term effects on mom or baby?

If one had to take a shot, I would consider the monoclonal antibody one called regeneron. It cost more when a friend’s dad was given it by University of Virginia hospital last year. It made him better very quickly. They gave it to him, but not to his wife who also got covid because the dad had other health issues (asthma, I think). His wife got better but very slowly. I don’t know what her treatment was. It is a more traditional shot of antibodies cloned from people who successfully got over the virus. As I understand it, our bodies learn the antibodies and only continue making them if needed. Sort of like we remember other things. Others probably know more about it and I only have this one anecdotal story from the dad of a person I’ve known for over a decade. Also, is this what they gave President Trump? Prayers for you and your family.

My opinion:
Please ask your DIL if she is prepared to cope with possible premature birth of the child. This is something for her to think about in general since she’s likely about 5 1/2 months pregnant.
If she’s thinking about getting the “vaccine”, she needs to be on 5,000 mg of vitamin C + 6,000 IU of vitamin D3 + 60 mg of Zinc per day, in addition to her prenatal vitamins.
Do not forget the green tea &/or quercetin (Blueberries apples, red onions…)

From everything I’ve read and heard at my doc appointments, once monthly Ivermectin is not nearly enough protection. FLCCC used to recommend every other week, and my husband and I were doing that when we started. But the levels would go down below what’s needed for a couple of days before the two weeks were up. So they upped the dosage to weekly.
I know that I’ve read that HCQ is totally safe during pregnancy. You could probably find that info out about Ivermectin at the FLCCC.net site.
Can’t you get your DIL to look at the CDC/VAERS stats? And stress that the numbers are probably 3x that, as the system is voluntary reporting.

One possible recourse (It is a bit risky) is for your son to make an appointment with the doctor AND CONFRONT HIM WITH THE INFORMATION! Also to ASK the doctor what type of compensations he has gotten from the drug companies.
Your son also needs to check with a lawyer to see if the DOCTOR is liable if he pushes AN EXPERIMENTAL DRUG and there are adverse affects.
It is a full frontal attack and could backfire depending on how arrogant and pigheaded the doctor is.
The doctor didn’t bring it up until she asked him if she should get it. Since he didn’t bring it up for the first half of her pregnancy, he probably isn’t militant about it, but since she asked he probably had to say what he said or lose his career. Most people can’t fathom that doctors now make more money from the pharmaceutical companies than from their patients.

It seems to me that pleading is rarely if ever helpful. It is operating from a position of weakness, and relying on the other person to do what you want, for no other reason than to appease you.
The person doing the pleading also surrenders his part in the outcome or decision, abdicating whatever authority he had. That would seem to be a mistake, considering that she is his wife, and the child is his child also.
Such weakness is instinctively (and harmfully) provocative, and given her likely heightened emotional state, why would she appease such apparent weakness, instead of satisfying her family members’ perceived strength?
Why does this apparent ‘power struggle’ dynamic exist in the first place?
It may be hard to know which issue came first, the weakening of the team unit (husband and wife) or the meddling of family members.
I have a more direct way of handling the situation, but that’s probably not going to be very helpful here 😂
So we’ll give a more tactful approach a try.
I would identify who the primary troublemaker is on her side of the family. Who is the leader of this insurrection, this violation of the sanctity of your home, your marriage and the life of your unborn child?
THAT is at least one person I want to talk with.
And since we’re probably trying to be nice, I would do it nicely. I would say that I respect your views, and you must respect mine also. Respecting each others’ views is easy when we agree, anyone can do that. It is only when we disagree that such respect has meaning. You presumably have evidence for what you believe, as do I. You have reached a different conclusion than I have, and all of that is fine and natural.
She is your daughter (or sister, or whatever the relation may be), but she is also my wife. How would you feel if, however well-meaning, I was undermining your relationship with your husband (or wife), and telling your spouse what to do?
Can you imagine, for just a moment, what that would be like?
The reason for bringing it to your attention is so that you would consider it.
We are a family, and I want all of us to be a big and happy family. But our personal family decisions — including medical decisions — are for us to make. It has to be that way.
This is a very difficult time for us. Your daughter (or sister, etc.) is five months pregnant. We are living in very strange and potentially dangerous times. We could sure use your support, but what is happening instead is causing distress.
I want and hope for everyone to get along, I want and hope what is best for everyone. My thoughts on the vaccine are very simple to understand, and therefore so is my conclusion.
1) the survival rate for anyone in our age group who gets Covid is 99% or higher, according to the CDC’s own published statistics
2) there are at least two different therapies (HCQ and Ivermectin) which have proven extremely effective in treatment of Covid, with multiple peer-reviewed studies, which I can provide
3) the vaccines are untested and experimental, meaning there have been no long term human trials to prove their safety
4) there is already a significant number of documented adverse reactions to these vaccines. Previous vaccines have been pulled from the market after fewer than 60 directly related deaths. The number of deaths due to these Covid vaccines is in the tens of thousands
5) by their own admission, the vaccines don’t work. They didn’t work for the Wuhan variant, which required a second dose, and the second does didn’t work which required the booster, and the booster doesn’t work against the Delta variant. The majority of the people being diagnosed with Covid today are people who have already been vaccinated
So the vaccine is unnecessary (99% survival rate), there are proven treatments which likewise make the vaccine unnecessary, the vaccine is untested and experimental (making the recipients human guinea pigs), the vaccine has harmed and killed thousands of people (which means the vaccine is dangerous), and by the CDC’s own admission, the vaccines don’t even work.
For these reasons, I have chosen not to expose myself to this untested and experimental vaccine, and considering the potentially deadly affects, I hope you can understand the level of anxiety being created, when my pregnant wife is encouraged to take this dangerous and unnecessary vaccine.
In fairness, we have to recognize that it is possible either of us could be wrong. If I am wrong, my wife and unborn child still have better than a 99% chance of survival. Better than 99 to 1. And it is not as if we have taken no precautions, we have obtained one of the treatment therapies which has been highly successful in multiple peer-reviewed studies.
If you are wrong, your grandchild could be spontaneously aborted, and your daughter may experience debilitating side effects for the rest of her life.
Why should she, or our unborn child, take that chance?
And if she takes this untested and experimental vaccine based on your advice, and something does go terribly wrong, are you prepared to live with that?
I’m glad we could have this talk. As I am sure you know from experience, this is a very difficult and stressful time for us. That stress is many times greater with other people, though I know they mean well, pressuring [her name] to risk taking this vaccine.
I want everyone to be well. I love you, I love our extended family, and I want everyone to be safe and happy. And I hope and pray that you would still be there for us, while respecting our privacy in this matter.

Once that is accomplished, either they will respect your wishes, or they won’t. If they do, then you will have salvaged the family relationships, and if they don’t, then at least you gave it your best shot.
Your wife requires a different approach.
Assuming you have already tried reason, and assuming she is at least somewhat emotional (or more emotional than usual) due to the pregnancy, I would appeal to her emotions, which may be the only avenue available to you at this point.
I would print out articles about pregnant women who have had adverse reactions, including miscarriages, after taking the vaccine. Let her read the horror stories. Fear is a powerful motivator. And I would leave them around the house where she will find them. In doing so, you demonstrate, over and over, your concern for her well being, and your concern for the baby. Let those actions speak for you. She may not say anything to you about it, but it will have an impact.
I would also research Ivermectin and HCQ with regard to pregnancy, consult a doctor on the FLCCC.com list about it, and if there is no significant issue related to pregnancy, I would obtain either HCQ or Ivermectin now, so that I would be prepared in the event that she gets Covid.
All of these things would demonstrate your care and concern, in a way that may not be getting through in conversation, especially if a reflexive dynamic of disagreement has developed around this subject matter. Doing these things — tactfully dealing with meddling family members, warning about the dangers of the vaccine through the testimony and tragedy of real people in the articles, and securing an effective treatment remedy — will also demonstrate leadership, which will almost certainly be more effective than pleading.
If she is operating out of a sense of fear, then having a proven and safe treatment already in your possession should go a long way toward alleviating that fear.
And alleviating that fear removes the incentive to get the vaccine.
That is the whole reason why TPTB have done everything possible to suppress and discredit HCQ and Ivermectin in the first place.
If the truth became widely known and believed, the market for the vaccine would evaporate overnight.
Anyway, those are just my thoughts, trying to step into someone else’s shoes and apply my own life experiences to it.

Good news on kiddo having legs casted…got his last pair on today. Ankle contractures have really released and he will be done with hard casts next week. They began making the orthotics today which he may wear up to a year depending on him and his stretching. So, daddy left the pool up abd he will have another month of swimming before it gets too chilly. He just wants to get his legs and feet soaked in the tub!
I hope SC is getting into nice evening weather. No more too humid.

Well guys, I just got home from a local school board meeting. There was public comment on their basically incoherent mask plan for this school year, so you know I had to run MY big mouth. The meeting was very civil; but remember, our schools were open the entire school year last year, so people are not as mad.
The plan they are proposing contradicts the local health department, the state School Superintendent, and the Governor, all of whom say “masks optional.” They want masks on K-5 in “common areas outside their cohorts,” and optional masks on 6-12 students, which makes no sense at all. They say it’s because those kids can’t have the phony vax.
I am waiting on tenterhooks to see their decision. The public comment was going on forever and getting repetitive, so I left. I’m glad I went and spoke my piece. I mainly spoke about the fact that children have almost zero chance of dying from covid and don’t spread covid, and the psychological, physical, and emotional damage masks do to them.

The head of the local teachers union polled our teachers. Over 60% voted for “mask optional.” Two teachers who spoke brought me to tears. They were pleading to be able to see their students faces to be able to teach them, communicate with them, and love them properly. It was beautiful.
