Well, I bought a fancy DVD/VHS combo machine where I can record those tapes onto DVDs. Mmmm….that was six years ago and how many tapes have I transferred, you ask? Exactly 0!!!! ROFL

I don’t think there was any doubt that we are all on the same team. SD’s short piece on the despicable Romney is nothing new for that site. I’m glad you got to post there, but it doesn’t change the way so many of us have been treated. That site used to be like this one, but is no longer. That doesn’t mean it isn’t pro-America, but it has changed to the point that many would not go back. That said, I hope it will keep supporting MAGA.

In the comments to that thread, there was a dust-up about Q and Ad Rem deleted some comments. So I don’t think a lot has changed.
This is not a criticism of you, Linda; this just seemed a good place to make this comment, and perhaps the post is now too old for anyone to see it! But the wounds from OT seem to be painfully slow to heal for many.
Dave Hayes (PM) has written about our expectations, specifically in regard to Q, arrests, etc., but his wisdom applies to any expectations.
If we have strong expectations and hold tightly to them (in this case, hoping or expecting that OT will revert to what we thought it was), we set ourselves up for disappointment if our expectations are not met. If we simply “let it go,” have gratitude for OT in its place and time that blessed us, pray for relief of any evil that may be being brought to bear there, and focus on what we now have, we will not be disappointed. And, we shall be far less likely to 1) waste precious resources, 2) revisit old wounds, 3) be tempted to bitterness.

There have been occasions where I wanted to agree with a post Sundance made, but quite frankly I can get more exposure for that agreement HERE than I can THERE. The only reason to post it there is so Sundance can see it, but frankly he’s too busy to look in the comments anyway. I think he turned over the Q-busting to Ad Rem and we’re GONE.
We’ve been “Q-ed out” and that’s the way it is. I still don’t know why we all got back in for a day, but it was some kind of fluke.

Yesterday’s focus was stocks, bonds, mutual funds, things to do with IRAs and a trip onto the roof of the house to cover turbines before a big storm. (Probably should have done that quite a few months ago.)
Spent today in the kitchen with a friend trying out recipes with modifications. Came out with fairly reasonable quiche lorraine and key lime pie. Only do-over was whipped cream believe it or not. First attempt used “just like sugar” for sweetener. It’s not.
Tomorrow might just include ladders and power tools at some point. 🙂

Also preparing for a storm (tropical) come back from house sitting to a mouldy house from over a metre of rain, lime tree is heavy so if you have a good recipe for key lime pie would love it!
We were working from a 1972 edition of the Joy of Cooking but tried coconut sugar instead of the standard white sugar. Tasted okay but was brown like milk chocolate. Whipped cream helped. Nothing to write home about. Ask the internet. I’m sure there are some great recipes out there.
Looked at a few on the net but there’s nothing better than a home/family recipe. Lemon Meringue Pie is an Aussie staple but only heard of key lime pie when I started reading blogs from US! As far as tuna fish sandwich goes..hmmm. Tuna with chilli, lime and salad is a typical work lunch…have never done mayo so will have to take a pass on that.
Mayo is one of the Three Proofs of The Existence of God, along with beer and bacon. Heathen!

You said “recipe” so now I have an excuse.
My mother’s Tuna fish recipe:
* 3 Cans of Tuna Fish (tuna in water – typically the ALDI “Northern Catch” cans which are well priced)
* Mayonnaise as a base (ALDI “Fit and Active” Light works well. I recommend actual mayo – Miracle Whip is too sweet.)
* Chopped Dill pickles (I prefer to use Dill Relish with Pimentos, if you can find it.)
* Hard Boiled eggs, diced (ALDI has a great price. We hard boil half a dozen at a time for salads and kid’s snacks.)
* Chopped onions (I skip this part. I hate raw onions.)
Mix thoroughly to taste. Serve anyway you like or eat it straight with a fork.
Obviously you can add variations to this, for instance if you like chopped celery or dill sprigs.
I like mine on sandwiches. The Pepperidge Farms Oatmeal bread pairs very well.
Add lettuce or tomato if you like – I prefer mine plain.
My wife loves to put a slice of avocado on hers – try it, you might like it!
For work I take about a cup’s worth in a Ziplock/Tupperware container, and put them on the bread when I eat it at lunch. Otherwise the bread gets soggy.
Variations to try: mustard, minced garlic.

That sounds really good. I often like to toast my tuna fish sandwich with some nice variety of cheese.
Not sure if this blend would be good toasted considering it has eggs and dill pickles. Maybe I’ll give it a shot. If not I’ll eat it cold. Yum.
Tuna (squeezed until dry), Hellman’s used sparingly, + celery seed and a little bit of pepper – chill it. Oatmeal or wheat bread.
Stunningly good ham salad = Remove all obvious fat from leftover ham (render it if you want to- it’s better) about 3-4 lbs, grind in a food processor. Add Claussen pickles, chopped finely about 1/2 of large jar, plus 1/3 cup of pickle juice. Add approx. 1 3/4lb finely grated Baby Swiss. Combine with 1 1/2 – 2 cups Hellman’s Light Mayo.
I’ve made many mortgage payments on the Ham Salad recipe.
Egg Salad – 30 eggs add to cold water, turn stovetop to high for 20 minutes = done. Peel eggs and chop in a food processor. Add 1 jar Hellman’s light + salt and pepper. CHILL. It’s perfect.
I wish you people would stop it- I don’t need any more excuses to overeat!!

This man seems to have been too normal to have died suspiciously.
Think of how many people knew him from his beat and watched him on television.
