But I Don’t FEEL Saved . . .

Assurance of salvation is of utmost importance for the Christian. When a believer does not “feel” saved it can cause severe anxiety. Many of us have struggled deeply with this issue. At times it may be almost crippling, spending hours in God’s Word to find what it means to be assured in Christ. The “I never knew you” verse from Matthew 7 may rest heavily on our minds.  “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.  Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’  Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Matthew 7:21-23

So, what do we do when we don’t “feel” saved?

Understanding The Realities

When we’re struggling with assurance, we’re struggling with our own hearts to know whether or not we are a Christian. Frequently, our underlying assumption may be that our assurance is directly connected to our feelings and emotions. In other words, our belief is “If I don’t feel saved, then I must not be saved.” A problem with approaching assurance in this manner is that it allows our emotions, which shift and sway daily, to govern what’s true. As people, we are far more fickle and frail than we’d like to believe. Our emotions and feelings can change on a dime. In light of this, why would we allow what we feel to shape what we believe about our status in Christ?

Ultimately our assurance lies in the promises of God in Christ, not in our particular feelings on a specific day.

Saint and Sinner

As a believer, our never-ending battle with sin is a big cause of a lack of assurance. How many times have we promised ourselves that “I will never sin in this way again,” only to fall once again the next day? Many of us fight this battle. The Apostle Paul wrote, “For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing” (Romans 7:19) about his battle with sin. It can be so disheartening to one day we find delight in obedience, only to then find pleasure in sin the next. This experience can open up a flood of inner turmoil: “Am I genuine?” and “Would a real Christian struggle this much?”

Romans 7 tells us that as Christians we are simultaneously saint and sinner. As we pilgrims travel through the Christian life, we continually struggle with sin and failure. But in all of our battle with our flesh, Romans 8:1 brings us great gospel hope: There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. “No article of faith is more difficult to believe than ‘I believe in the forgiveness of sins,’” preached Martin Luther. But the good news of the gospel is that our status in Christ is not contingent upon our best days of obedience or worst days of failure, but rather upon the perfect work of Christ on our behalf.

Outward and Upward

There’s a great Latin phrase that brings comfort to a weary heart and soul: extra nos. It means, “outside ourselves” and serves to remind us where our salvation truly lies. Often, what can cause a great deal of personal anxiety in terms of assurance is constant introspection. Certainly, there are times to look within, but when we long to find security in ourselves, we will constantly come up short. Assurance of salvation will never be found in measuring our obedience, the amount of sins we have overcome, or how holy we think we are. God’s moral standard in His Law is far too high (i.e., perfect) for us to think we can find comfort in our works.

Our assurance lies extra nos; namely, that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, on account of Christ alone (Titus 3:4-7). When we long for the comfort of being assured that we are saved, looking at our good works (or lack thereof) is like a mirage in a desert—it always promises but never delivers. Instead, the focus of the Christian life is outward and upward. When our souls are troubled and begin to doubt, comfort lies outside of ourselves in the grace of God given in Christ (Psalm 42).

Christ Alone

The great hymn writer Horatius Bonar gives us great words in the hymn Not What My Hands Have Done.

“Not what my hands have done can save my guilty soul;
Not what my toiling flesh has borne can make my spirit whole.
Not what I feel or do can give me peace with God;
Not all my prayers, and sighs and tears can bear my awful load.

Thy work alone, O Christ, can ease this weight of sin
Thy blood alone O Lamb of God, can give me peace within.
Thy love to me O God, not mine, O Lord, to Thee
Can rid me of this dark unrest, And set my spirit free!”

Some thoughts –

God made Adam and Eve the way He did, fully knowing that they would disobey His single requirement that they not eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. And yet “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.”

Ages before God “knit us in the womb”, He knew He would draw us to Himself as Christians, and He knew all of the successes and failures that we would experience in our lives. After all, God chose to make us the way He did. Our successes and failures are part of God’s plan for our lives, and, specifically, for our Christian walk. We don’t understand this now, but God assures us that “all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

We Christians are not adopted into God’s family as children because we attended church with our folks twice on Sunday and on Wednesday evenings, or because we went to a revival meeting with friends, or responded to our pastor’s invitation and said a prayer with him in front of the congregation, or because we’re a member of a local church, or because we routinely participate in some rites our church thinks are the duty of practicing Christians.

We are God’s children because God gave His Son, Jesus, to die as full payment for our sins, to absolve us of guilt, and to count us as righteous. He raised Jesus from the dead as a promise to us to be raised from the dead at the last day.  And Jesus now sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding on our behalf.

We are God’s children because God then drew us to Himself, and He will never let even one of us slip from His loving arms. All God asks of us is that we believe . . . that we have faith in His Son. And, as incomprehensible as this may sound, even the faith that we have is a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8) and is given by God’s mercy (Romans 9:15-16), by God’s election, and not by any works of ours (Romans 9:11).

All of God and none of me!

Some verses to think about –

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44

And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose none of those He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day. John 6:39

For it is My Father’s will that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:40

Everyone the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never drive away. John 6:37

For You granted Him authority over all people, so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him. John 17:2

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believest thou this?  John 11:25-26

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.  Romans 5:10

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?  Romans 8:32

He that believes on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.  John 3:36

On this day and every day –

God is in Control
. . . and His Grace is Sufficient, so . . .
Keep Looking Up

Hopefully, every Sunday, we can find something here that will build us up a little . . . give us a smile . . . and add some joy or peace, very much needed in all our lives.

“This day is holy to the Lord your God;
do not mourn nor weep.” . . .
“Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet,
and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared;
for this day is holy to our Lord.
Do not sorrow,
for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

A good and needed lesson! Thank you.

I always slip into the “We’re not worthy!” state, wondering what I THUS have to do to BECOME worthy. And that’s the catch right there. We’re literally not worthy! And we CANNOT do anything about it. But if we follow earnestly nonetheless, we shall not be driven away!!!

Great scriptures to help understand this!

Linda

Amen, Wolf. I do that, too, and have to remind myself that I’m not the one who did what was needed.

pgroup2

Scripture could help these guys …

Wolf Moon

A classic!

Deplorable Patriot

Hence why forgiveness is elevated to Sacrament level for many of us. The real name of the Sacrament is Penance, and we can receive it as often as we want. It feels good to get stuff off your chest, and if you’ve really made a good Confession, you know it.

singingsoul1

I always make it simple for myself. If course I am worthy I am a child of God and his beloved through Jesus Christ.
Looking at people as not worthy diminishes God’s creation. There are people who want to diminish our humanity we experience it now at this time with the tyranny.
Now is the time to hold fast on the reality that we are children of God.
God Bless you all . 🙂

TheseTruths

Thank you for all those verses, which are very comforting.

Mike Adams of Natural News has an amazing interview with Steve Kirsch – the one man who can make CDC Director Rochelle Alinsky piss her Depends every single day.

There are so many amazing thoughts in this interview, it’s hard to pick just one of them out, but I would say that if you go to 25.00 minutes, then you can hear Kirsch recommend actually GETTING Omicron and treating it, as one of the smartest ways to deal with immunity.

para59r

Well, if one is on the older side or with any of the comorbidities that we are supposed to be on the look out for, I’d hope the people going to or throwing any measle/chicken pox party thing have an adequate supply of horse paste or other such on hand along with a plan to do hospital rescue operations as needed as such would be prudent. For the younger healthier set, jump on in!

Other than that I’m fine with catching the virus should it catch me, but I’m not letting any safeguards go to make that so. It happens or it doesn’t.

In the meantime I’d suggest all lobby whom ever to get Ivermectin and HCQ sold on our shelfs without a prescription. Should be every conservative candidates platform to fight for, especially on the state level. There is no excuse for not adding it to the peoples medicine chests as it has no record of hurting and a great record of helping. How can they say no!

Hrmmm.. thinking Walmart has a lout of clout.. maybe lobby them to bring it in or no shopping there. Actually a word of demand to every grocer and pharmacy is in order.

para59r

Heck, I must be in a lobbying mood, so let me add: We should know by now that the Globalist and their minions are going to keep this silly drama thing going and care a wit about the effects as the effects are what they want. I’d hate to be here ten years from now still trying to figure all this out as they keep grinding us out of existence.

How about we start in with our city council people (anyone else would help too, neighbor or friends again and again). What are their objections to Ivermectin and HCQ? Can we make them say? Then educate them if they use BS. Once pliable, ask them what they could do to get us what we should of had all along. Of course they can do nothing alone, we understand that, but a letter of support from hundreds and thousands of them will surely have weight.

Ivermectin and HCQ on the store shelf, prescription free, should be an issue for all.

I personally think that medical freedom could be a HUGE issue in the 2022 election – and that is why the GOP Quisling RINOs will run away from it as fast as they can.

But we can really give them GRIEF about it.

cthulhu

Combine it with a crusade against the FDA and DEA.

And when Trump comes back, just wait for the “OK, I did the prison reform that previous administrations had jaw-jawed for decades, and got you all sprung for bullshit drug charges. Now I’d like a favor…..I’d like your help tearing down the system that ginned-up BS Federal crimes and put you behind bars.

The FDA needs to get out of the business of approval and disapproval, and into the limited role of “label says 1% codeine, it better have 1% codeine in the bottle.”

Wolf Moon

Amen!!!

Deplorable Patriot

We should know by now that the Globalist and their minions are going to keep this silly drama thing going and care a wit about the effects as the effects are what they want.

I refuse to participate for the most part.

Tonawanda

Love this idea!

Deplorable Patriot

Walmart is profiting too much from this whole fiasco to count on them for any help on it.

para59r

True, their slide to the left is in part from pressure by the left. Time for some pressure from the right.

Deplorable Patriot

Their slide to the left is led by $$$. Once Sam Walton passed away, the kids dismantled his vision.

singingsoul1

It is the people who shop at Wal Mart that make the company what it is. My own husband buys cat littler there the only idem though.
If everyone has the resolve to stay away from them they would crumble.
The problem is there is no place to shop for low income people . In my case we are two hours from anyplace to shop. Those with limited income cannot afford to drive two hours maybe do not have access to an computer and not the money to buy higher price items.
I guess we each can choose to buy there or not. I never was a big fan of the store.

pgroup2

Sam Walton noticed that rural people had nowhere close by to shop. He built his stores in out-of-the-way places that were in the center of rural population pockets.

It was only after he died that the company began opening stores in the suburbs and the smaller cities.

singingsoul1

I learn something every day. Thank you 🙂

pgroup2

Well, that would surely piss off the demonics running the shitshow.

singingsoul1

We as a human specie have survived for centuries. Now than ever the believe in God is proven over and over that we are able to survive no matter what as humanity.
Yes some will die we eventually all will in God’s time.
Still no matter the scare tactics no matter the people who have a god complex wanting outmaneuver God they will loose. The Light will always overcome darkness.
There is lots of hope for humanity because we are created by God in His image.

Gingersmom2009

This is the guy who’s looking for an FDA or CDC whistleblower. His posts say “name your price”. I love it.

ForGodandCountry

Whenever I have experienced doubt in my salvation I have always found, in hindsight, that it is born from a sense of shame and guilt from something in my past. And inevitably, that has come from the enemy whispering in my ear, attempting to disturb my peace (for the enemy has no peace, and misery craves company).

When the enemy sows doubt in your mind re: your salvation, try this bit of advice…

Whenever Satan whispers in your ear reminding you of your guilty past, face him and remind him of his future…that as a Christian your sins have already been forgiven you, while his never will be. And the hour grows late indeed.

He will flee from you, his design for you flung back in his face, and your peace will be restored.

To be hyper-technical, Satan [along with his one-third of angels] had his chance to repent. He did not; therefore was cast down.

I am searching for the Scriptural authority for this.

ForGodandCountry

It is a mistake to equate man with the fallen angels.

There was no repentance for Satan or the angels who sided with him because they KNEW (and know) God, face to face. They were a part of heaven itself, unlike man. As such, faith could not be a part of repentance for them, and they well knew the consequences of failure on their part.

Satan was not cast down because he refused to repent, he was thrown out because of his vile envy and betrayal of God.

pgroup2

What I said is that all the fallen angels had a chance to repent, and did not. I regret saying that Satan had the same chance because my memory is less clear on that. As I said, I’m looking for Scriptural authority for all of it.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, amen.

As Mark Twain famously noted: history may not always repeat, but it rhymes. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has taken the leading elements of a dark time in history and now openly advocates for their repetition. Can these people not hear themselves?

This is madness.

Mrs. von der Leyen’s husband is Heiko von der Leyen, the Director of the US biotech company Orgenesis which specializes in medical research to include cell and gene therapies.

Mr. Heiko von der Leyen organizes the scientific experiments, and then his wife Ursula advocates for forced vaccinations for all citizens within the European Union; and the removal of the prohibitive Nuremberg Code.  This would be a twisted and sick plot within a science fiction movie; however, it is very real

Austria has already announced compulsory COVID vaccinations which will be enforced starting in February of 2022.  Greece has recently decided to fine all unvaccinated citizens €100 (£85) a month for their non compliance, and Germany announced Thursday a nationwide lockdown for the unvaccinated, as its leaders backed plans for mandatory vaccinations in the coming months. Germany’s incoming Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, said he supports compulsory vaccinations beginning in March 2022.

These European leaders are insane.

There is no better time than right now for Russia to invade Ukraine, and for the American people to tell our elected officials it’s none of our business. If returning to the era where Fascist government fiats are acceptable to the people in Europe, then let them fight or fall – we have our own axe handles, tar and feathers to carry.

Whatever is coming that can’t be stopped needs to come. Soon.

XVII, can we get the show on the road?

SteveInCO

Maybe this is what cannot be stopped.

Aubergine

In two years of almost unbelievable craziness, this is the craziest thing I have seen.

They want to abolish the Code that was enacted after the deaths of TEN MILLION PEOPLE at the hands of the Nazis, many of them medically experimented on.

It boggles the mind. Literally, I mean; my mind just boggles. I can’t even process the evil in this.

This nightmare has to end. NOW.

singingsoul1

” This nightmare has to end. NOW”.

In Europe it is always the same people , intelligentsia , medical community, corporations and politicians. This is like a wash and repeat.
I believe a stratified society (class system) breeds these deranged people.
A class system was created here through Ivy liege Universities. It used to be going to University was good enough then one had to go to an Ivy liege University to get the real good job. I think that is why we are now infected like Europe.

Aubergine

It is a very good thought. The “intelligentsia” is at the root of Marxism. And they infect the medical community, corporations, and politics. So they are the heart of the problem. They have taken over our educational system all the way down.

singingsoul1

Yes and they are all educated in the same places. We need to look closer though how many are foreign born? Did they come from communist countries? I have met people before who were questionable teaching.

Deplorable Patriot

The irony being they aren’t really all that intelligent.

Aubergine

Right!

Overly “educated” but not intelligent.

Chris

I’ve heard it termed..packing their own legal exit parachute

Aubergine

Good way to put it. Crazy.

scott467

“This nightmare has to end. NOW.”

___________

Except why would it?

Why would it ever stop, until or unless someone makes them do the Mussolini dance?

You can’t vote them out of office, because they own the rigged voting machines.

There is no law enforcement to stop them.

And the military took a swan dive into the sea of Oblivion.

History has the answer.

And it’s the only answer, as old as time, because if there was any other answer, it would have been done before, and then that would be history, instead of the history that is.

Aubergine

Well, things are a little bit different now. We can stop it, with no violence whatsoever.

All we have to do is QUIT.

Lots of us have said it. We need to strike. Stop feeding the machine, and this is over in a couple of weeks.

scott467

“Well, things are a little bit different now. We can stop it, with no violence whatsoever.

All we have to do is QUIT.”

_____________

It seems like it would work in theory, but if that is all it takes to bring down a tyrannical regime, why hasn’t it ever happened before?

I suspect that it is practically impossible to get everyone, or even enough, people to participate.

But suppose we did get everyone to participate.

Then what?

The bad guys still are not going to leave their positions of power and authority. They would be perfectly content to live just like they do now, surrounded by body guards and immense wealth, and let the entire population descend into destitution and chaos.

They’ll be fine.

Surrounded and protected by our military 👍😁👍

Bad guys don’t leave voluntarily.

Strike or no strike.

Aubergine

I would say that more than any time ever before in history, when something like a general strike against tyranny COULD have occurred, at this time the cities are FAR more dependent on outside support.

It wasn’t that long ago in modern times that warehouses were kept stocked with weeks to months worth of groceries and supplies. Now, most businesses, including the grocery stores, have THREE DAYS of material at any given time. In one week without deliveries, the food riots start. Rich people eat, too, they just have staff to buy their groceries. And even if they have a bunker full, pretty soon they would be overrun by mobs. Hungry people are violent in ways that would put Aunty-Fa to shame.

People will get down to it when things are bad enough. They are not yet. Most people are not suffering enough, believe it or not. We are a fiesty, ornery bunch of independent cusses here, so we are madder than average. But the normies will get there. Five dollar a gallon gas in rural areas, and $18 dollar a pound hamburger would probably set it off.

That’s my theory, anyway.

Pretty lame for the Bidenese to allow this to be happening especially since our high cost of medicines subsidizes the cost of many medicines around the world.

If you could afford to have skipped a pill now and then since the start of the this Pandemic you should be able to ride out a shortage.

A complete guide to leftist argumentation and governance!

Tonawanda

When I went for my physical and told my doctor I did not want the shot, the first thing he said was “95 % of doctors are vaccinated.”

I bit my tongue, but wanted to say, “And I remember when 80% of doctors preferred Lucky Strikes.”

The big question is: is he that stupid, or does he think I am that stupid?

singingsoul1

I can see questioning your doctors intend why he took the jab.

My son an Internist and his wife a doctor also got the jab early on.
My scientist son molecular biology and his wife got a shot early too.
My daughter physical chemist and her husband got the jab also early.
My daughter ask her brother the scientist and he said to get it she did and her husband and daughter also.
Are they stupid? Not academically thy all brilliant but gullible maybe. They bought into it maybe tired of being locked down and then there was the silver bullet the jab that will change everything give back freedom. They did not question not as I do but I have a different life experience. I have seen evil.

The lock down does not affect me much I am able to entertain myself and be happy as long as I can walk around my house and garden. Dog walks all is good. I do not need movies, restaurants or travel I did all of that for years. What I need I can get on the Internet.
I think it is an age thing to be contend as is not look for the silver bullet 🙂
The older I get the more I see how life experiences shape a person also a spiritual life and faith in God.

RDS

Thank you so much for saying this. Been a tough day here, and I’m just catching up with The Q Tree now. What you say is like balm for the soul.

“I have seen evil.”

I think that sentence is missing a few words … “… up close and personal.”

singingsoul1

That is true. I also heard first hand accounts of evil.

Tonawanda

I should clarify. My doctor is not stupid, but he made a stupid argument to me. His argument was a classic logical fallacy. He, a doctor, took the shot, so I should take the shot. 95 % of doctors took the shot, so I should take the shot. That might actually be a couple fallacies. 80% of doctors, including your personal physician, prefer Lucky Strikes.

Later in the exam, he told me to stop taking a baby aspirin I have been taking under his direction for 10 or 20 years. Why? Because, he said, studies have shown that taking the aspirin was dangerous. And yet he also told me that the shots were safe and effective despite using a recent technology which had never before been used in humans. What would he say in 10 or 20 years?

The “silver bullet” idea is a powerful one, but it has just never been a part of medicine except under dire circumstances. Just the opposite. But the silver bullet idea was how the shots were sold at first. Now that we know for certain that the silver bullet did not exist in reality, other ideas are used to justify the shots, and the medical profession goes along in lockstep, with the exception of about 5% of doctors who do not. Mistakes made less than a year or two ago are not addressed, explained, or used as a basis for reconsideration.

The medical profession has become debased and dishonest in recent decades. The patient is now only an excuse or opportunity. But the silver bullet approach in my experience has never been tried on this massive scale. I do not doubt that 95% of medical professionals abandoned all previous medical practice to embrace this unethical approach. That shows that even otherwise highly intelligent people can be stampeded, or complicit.

You have the wisdom of maturity and spiritual inclination. That is obvious all the time, reflected by your insights.

But our society as a whole has been radically degraded so wisdom and spiritual inclination are not part of what influences younger people anymore, even highly intelligent younger people. I have had the opportunity in life to see the degradation, and the effects of the degradation, on younger people. The reality is harrowing.

IOW, it is not hard to believe that the silver bullet approach should have been so readily adopted. It is the triumph of feeling, emotion and psychology over objective factors, including professional ethics and hard-earned knowledge.

All the professions have been degraded. And in all the professions you see the daily use of logical fallacies in how things are analyzed and presented.

Used by the best and the brightest, which is by far the most disturbing aspect.

Thank you for your thoughtful post 🙂
You wrote,
“His argument was a classic logical fallacy. He, a doctor, took the shot, so I should take the shot. 95 % of doctors took the shot, so I should take the shot”. A good doctor will not do that. My husband has 4 doctors not one questioned him about the jab or suggesting him getting it.
My doctor told me it was my decision if I wanted the shot or not.
When I was leaving he said “see you next year”. He saw my war chest of vitamins specially the D3, C, Z. Q10 and cod liver oil.

Some reasonable doctors here. Being in NY is a little different one might think your doctor is influenced by politics? I am in OH where I live the majority of people voted for Trump. Doctors should not be influenced by politics but they are human. Good for you standing your ground that it is your choice.
Baby aspirin has prescribed for my husband for years but 2-3 years ago the doctor told him to stop because of new findings. He is also on blood thinners so the aspirin is maybe a mood point.

Last edited 8 months ago by singingsoul1
Tonawanda

No question in my mind that he is influenced by politics, and more so because he is in NY.

Interesting that your H’s doctor told him 2 or 3 years ago about aspirin, and mine just told me 2 or 3 weeks ago.

singingsoul1

Yes my husband had an irregular heart bead and it was fixed. He was put on another medicine. The kidney specialist took him off the aspirin and said studies show it does not help. He wants to keep my husband on minimum meds and it is helping. Keeping is diabetics numbers low and is careful what he eats and drinks a lot. He drinks a lot Pellecrino that helps the kidney. He improved his kidneys.

Are you not aware that it’s not even a ‘vaccine’ in any traditional sense of the word?

Are you not aware that the CDC has changed the definition of ‘vaccine’ so it would more closely approximate what the clot-shot actually is?

Are you not aware that countries with nearly total vaccination are still getting China virus?

I decided to NOT turn the occasion into a confrontation.

He had not heard of VAERs. True. When I told him what it was, he said doctors were too busy to make the required reports. True. He made my point for me without realizing it.

When I asked him about ivm, he very firmly said “no.” He told me it was unproven AND dangerous. Right there I knew he was incapable of having a rational discussion. But I asked him about Uddar Pradesh and ivm, and he did not have a clue. True. Alas.

If it’s required, then he can’t be too busy… too busy is not an excuse…

Tonawanda

This is EXACTLY the thought which I had about him and other doctors. Why did you become a doctor?

TradeBait2

We have these same convos around here in east TN. Same deal. They make money pushing that crap, which tells you what their priority is and how much you can trust them.

How many PCP’s, NP’s, etc. follow up with each patient to see how they are doing after any kind of treatment or exam?

None of ours do anymore. Not in years. But walk in the door and they are ready to push any vaccine or med they can justify. They read your file in the exam room with you, never prepare in advance. They use their positions of trust to achieve the ends of the practice and medical community.

The only doc we’ve had in years to prepare in advance and offer his number to call for concerns after hours was my wife’s orthopedic surgeon this year. Total professional, and a major exception to the rule.

Stop trusting people who don’t have your best interests at heart.

scott467

“When I asked him about ivm, he very firmly said “no.” He told me it was unproven AND dangerous. Right there I knew he was incapable of having a rational discussion.”

_____________

So the untested experimental thing that is killing people is ‘safe’ because 95% of the doctors fell for it…

…and the thing that has been used safely for decades with billions of doses taken worldwide is unproven and dangerous.

Alrighty then… med school is really paying off… 🤣😂🤣

So, back in March of 2020, I confronted my doctor about Covid. I quickly realized I knew more about it than she did. I relentlessly asked for HCQ until she wrote the prescription.

In March of 2021, I confronted my doctor about the vaccine. I quickly realized I knew FAR more about it than she did. She actually told me it was “just like the flu vaccine.” I told her that was incorrect, that it was an experimental, never before tried in humans non-vaccine. I did my best to set her straight. I told her about extra payments to hospitals for people who died “of Covid.” I told her she should do some research.

Today, I have it on good authority she is prescribing the FLCCC protocol to her patients with Covid. My efforts seem worth it now. I don’t know if I influenced her or not, but I’m sure it didn’t hurt.

cthulhu

Talk about logical fallacies….Adams is saying “some people guess x and some people guess y” like it’s flipping a coin. How about those who sought EVIDENCE, then made HYPOTHESES based on the EVIDENCE, then CHALLENGED the HYPOTHESES? How about evaluating the strength of a hypothesis by how many challenges it has survived?

It’s not like we were all sitting next to Newton and guessing “it’s earth-suck!” or “no, it’s apple-love!”

scott467

I kind of got the impression Adams is toying with his audience, trying to provoke the exact kind of outrage at his idiocy that he is provoking… causing his audience to recite the facts and make their case against Adams, just as Karl did 👍😁

scott467

Adams is an expert at persuasion, it’s his favorite subject, he has written multiple books on the subject, so he’s always engaged in manipulation with the purpose to influence or persuade.

scott467

He considers humans as ‘moist robots’ who rarely engage in critical thinking, so he doesn’t bother engaging with people in ways that require critical thinking for the most part, because it’s just not effective.

And it’s hard to argue with him on that point!

Humans are emotional and the large majority of their decisions are emotion-based, so he uses that to his advantage and engages humans on an emotional level, not a logic level.

Wonder what else they have in mind that they need to abolish the Nuremberg Code?
Are they going to roll out new jabs and experiments over and over ? They know they are doing wrong and because they know and do it anyway the punishment will be harsh for them. They cannot claim ignorance.

para59r

“They cannot claim ignorance.”
Yes, it certainly seems to be an admission of guilt.

Meanwhile the Code it self is not something ratified by Congress as many leftists on the internet will be quick to point out.

However!

The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) has been ratified by Congress and Article 7 of the ICCPR reflects the full faith and spirit of all that the Nuremberg Code laid out.

Article 7 prohibits torturecruel, inhuman or degrading punishment and non-consensual medical or scientific experimentation.[25] As with Article 6, it cannot be derogated from under any circumstances.[18] The article is now interpreted to impose similar obligations to those required by the United Nations Convention Against Torture, including not just prohibition of torture, but active measures to prevent its use and a prohibition on refoulement.[26] In response to Nazi human experimentation during WW2 this article explicitly includes a prohibition on medical and scientific experimentation without consent.

Additionally

The ICCPR is part of the International Bill of Human Rights, along with the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR) and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).

singingsoul1

Seems to be all there just enforcing the code might be a problem in this climate.
Once the globalists have a defeat and that be coming that is justice will be served it always comes to that in the end.

Something has been on my mind for several days.

A few threads on Free Republic today were relevant to what I have been mulling.

In these very bitter and angry threads, Christians got very nasty and condemnatory with each other.

For the past couple of years, at first unintentionally and then deliberately, I have looked into the history of Christians killing, tormenting and condemning each other. It is not pretty.

I have no desire to evaluate the disagreements, let alone judge them. That does not mean I do not have my own definite opinion on some issue or another.

Carl’s post is a wonderful one. FWIW (maybe not a lot to others) having a personal relationship with Jesus solves a lot of complexity, and that relationship very much means taking Him at His word. I sincerely rely on His reassurance.

Over at FR, a person said he was never going to watch The Chosen because the producer said something the person thought was too off base for a Christian. That is not a reason I would use to deprive myself of watching a beautiful portrayal of Jesus.

God bless us, everyone. May the Holy Spirit guide us all.

Deplorable Patriot

The online wars over Christianity actually inspired me to know more about my faith and be more active in it. Learning how to defend the teachings, and just what they are and why they are there, has been quite the challenge. We weren’t really prepared in school, and it is up to us to rise to the challenge.

It’s stunning the fallacies that are out there. I’ve found lots of help, though, as many of us were put in the same position.

ForGodandCountry

There was a lot of infighting over the movie “The Shack” when it came out in 2017, one of them being that God was portrayed as a black woman (played by Octavia Spencer).

Dr. S.M. Lockridge (who I consider to be the greatest preacher of the 20th century) had some things to say about such arguments within the faith, none of them flattering to the church body as a whole.

Deplorable Patriot

Oh, and as for “The Chosen,” I choose not to watch. If the series leads people to the Truth, great. But, there is a lot of source material which will be ignored as it is not from Scripture in favor of artistic interpretation. The artist may be on the money, but then again, I opt for caution on being true to the real story.

“If shuttering Keystone didn’t convince you that Biden wants to hamstring America, what would?”

“Would that convince you?”

____________

It’s a great question.

It causes one to consider what we think or believe, and why, and what kind of evidence or reasoning it would require to move us from our current position. That is valuable information to know about oneself.

But almost no one ever answers that question, because it puts the person who is asked in the position of telling you how to convince them to change their mind. It’s like handing you a cheat-sheet, and they don’t want to change their mind anyway.

So the real answer to the question, usually, is ‘nothing’.

Nothing would convince them.

But they can’t say that, because it would be conceding that they have a closed mind, and nobody wants to admit they have a closed mind. So they just don’t answer.

It’s profoundly disappointing.

Mostly it seems to indicate that they don’t have much confidence in what they believe, because if they did, then they wouldn’t be afraid, they would think about it, and just tell you what it would take to convince them otherwise.

Even if the answer is something far-fetched, we should at least try to answer the question. It’s an excellent thought-experiment, if nothing else.

But if they tell you, and then that thing occurs, then someone could hold them to it and they would have to change their position, and they don’t want to change, so they won’t tell.

If they even know what would convince them.

Which they probably don’t.

Because they’ve probably never thought about it before, and they don’t want to.

It’s much easier to just to believe whatever we want to believe, and then get defensive or angry at anyone who questions it… 👍😂

The Gateway Pundit: Impotent Critic or Worse? Refuses to Name Wood While Defending Flynn With No Defense at All

TGP offers timely aggregate reporting from a slate of sources it monitors and links to its content. Much of TGP’s reporting has delivered evidence in support of the work at Moonshine.

Last evening, Joe Hoft penned a piece entitled, ‘In Defense of General Michael Flynn‘ and in it, Hoft appeared to go after Mr. Lin Wood contextually but indirectly because the piece refused to name Wood. It’s worse.

How do I know Hoft was targeting Wood?
The context gives it away. I’ve written three in-depth articles on the Thanksgiving holiday explosion of fractured leadership and infighting that stands to detrimentally impact or perhaps derail any 2020 election remedy:

1- Fractured Leadership: Tumultuous Wood, Powell and Flynn Dynamic Causes Byrne and Obamagate to Resurface Leading to More Questions About Barr and Durham

2- Fractured Leadership: Part II – Wood, Flynn, Powell, Byrne and Trump Dynamic Unravels to the CCP’s Benefit Under the Cover of Another National Holiday

3- Fractured Leadership: Part III – The Full Slate of Claims by Wood Against Flynn, Powell and Byrne

These articles not only examine the matters in detail, but they extrapolate the important aspects to other interrelated components while evidencing those relationships.
It’s the third article that puts the final leg under our stool allowing us to stand tall on it in criticism of Hoft and TGP. It’s explained below.

It also causes a whole bunch of problems for Flynn and Hoft because Wood has the receipts; has posted them in full transparency; and has extended invitations for his detractors and critics to return to Tomotley for another visit; and for the purpose of publicly reconciling their differences while endeavoring to shine light on the full spectrum of truth.
Not surprisingly, no RSVPs have been received as of this article.

The problems for Hoft include that Wood is the nation’s preeminent defamation attorney; hence his obvious reluctance to directly state what is required to be stated by most measures; like naming the subject of ones accusations and the basis for ones story.
That is unless you’re trying to avoid walking head-on into an oncoming defamation suit.
If you ask me, that’s exactly why Hoft chickened out. His piece is fluff. It’s a bunch of rhetoric and unneeded Flynn praise as backdrop to nothing substantive. Obama excelled at such.

Hoft didn’t name Wood for fear of Wood turning back on him – ask WaPo, CNN and others about that.

It caused Hoft’s so-called defense to be no defense at all. Even worse, Hoft undid himself before he finished penning the title; much less the intro, body and conclusion.
Hoft’s piece goes on to read like cover for Flynn that was penned for low-IQ readers exercising no discernment.

Is TGP interested in the truth or is it interested in maintaining Flynn’s favorable status with a concerned public in the light of serious allegations by Wood?
Or is it that Hoft is interested in maintaining his own favorable status with Flynn?
It’s likely both.

Here’s a question for Hoft. From whom or what are you defending Flynn as per the title?
A defense is normally taken in response to a specific attack. Who is the attacker and why didn’t you name him, her or them?

WaPo, CNN and others can answer the last question.

How do I know I’m correct? Logical deduction; as always. That and the evidence in the three articles linked above.

Hoft opens in adoration of Flynn for a couple of paragraphs before getting to his pillow fight,”

Please.

It’s a soap opera for the anons to get us to divide.

Personally, I’m ignoring it.

I agree with you, DP. I see no benefit from renting my headspace to that kerfuffle.

From what I read here, Moonshine is spot on. Hoft was being uber-careful. At least he was smart enough not to mention Wood.

People want their conservative leaders to stay on their pedestals so we can all move on and continue trusting them. I am unable to do that because trust has been broken, IMO, and I want to know why. I want to know why all the conservative pundits jumped on the bandwagon of lies about Lin Wood without talking with Wood first. I want to know why Tucker Carlson produced that hit piece without presenting Wood’s side of the story, and why he never contacted Wood even after Wood said that Kyle’s statements in Tucker’s piece were false. I no longer trust Carlson at all. I want to know why Flynn and Powell didn’t contact Wood. I want to know why Dan Bongino believed Kyle’s story and wouldn’t contact Wood even after Wood said it was false. And none of those people have retracted any statements they’ve made against Wood. I have lost all respect for them (with the possible exception of Powell; I don’t know enough about her participation in all this).

For the above reasons, I think this story is a big deal. And it’s an even bigger deal if someone who has gained the trust of conservatives who are trying to correct the 2020 election is actually working for the other side. I don’t know that to be the case, but it bears investigation, because too many things are questionable.

So IMO, this is not just an internecine fight. It has huge implications. Some trusted people are working against a person who has done nothing but speak out for fixing 2020, and I want to know why. They have some ‘splainin’ to do.

I tried to avoid this whole thing and hoped it would go away, because it’s just another unresolvable rabbit-hole, but so far it won’t go away.

There are big problems with all of it, it seems to me.

Start with this, the title of one of PM’s articles:

Fractured Leadership: Tumultuous Wood, Powell and Flynn Dynamic Causes Byrne and Obamagate to Resurface Leading to More Questions About Barr and Durham”

Fractured leadership?

LEADERSHIP?

If the future of the Republic hangs on Flynn, Byrne, Powell, Wood (and a guy who sells pillows), and it’s them against the Global Cabal who control the governments (and therefore military and intelligence agencies) of every western nation on the planet, along with the biggest multinational corporations, Big Tech, the banks and the media, then it’s already over.

If that’s the case, there was never even a credible ‘fight’ to begin with. It’s ludicrous. Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy vs. the Bag Guys is a cartoon, not a national defense… 😂

The Bad News Bears would have a better chance against the MLB World Champions.

I don’t know who Patrick Byrne is, except that IIRC, he was CEO of Overstock.com, until he was ousted for some kind of sketchy conduct.

Sidney Powell seems (seemed?) to be a credible attorney, but the best attorney who ever lived can’t defeat a corrupt judicial system, and that’s what we have. I don’t have a Telegram account, so I haven’t followed the comments closely that Political Moonshine refers to. Reading the most recent article is like trying to jump into a movie franchise in the 4th sequel. I don’t know who did what to whom. If I ever find the time, I”ll go back and read all of it, but I don’t have much motivation to do so, because in the end, I don’t know what’s true and what isn’t. And if the last five years are any indication, we’re never going to find out. We’ll all be dead and gone long before there’s a resolution to anything, and even if there is a resolution to anything, how will we ever know?

Everything is like a moving target in a hall of mirrors.

Next, Gen. Flynn. I don’t know what’s going on with this guy, or who he is, or who’s side he’s on. And there’s a good reason for that, it’s because that’s the way he wants it. I suspected he was playing games after his first year of silence while the 4-year coup unfolded.

Because if Flynn was even 1/100th the patriot his part in this ‘movie’ makes him out to be, then any gag order by Judge Sullivan wouldn’t have mattered in the least. The fate of the Republic is infinitely bigger than Judge Sullivan’s gag order.

His own freedom and the outcome of his case is irrelevant when stacked up against the survival of the Republic. And the longer he remained silent while the Republic slipped away, the more red flags I saw (and continue to see) around Flynn.

I hope he’s a white hat. But he doesn’t act like one. But then he’s a spook, so everything he does is an act (and therefore suspect). For all I know, the speech he made that caused the latest controversy, invoking some prayer that originated with some cult lady from the 1980s, was completely scripted and pre-planned to cause this whole controversy / distraction.

It could be that Powell, Wood, Byrne and Flynn are all working together to orchestrate this controversy, or the controversy could be real, but either way it doesn’t matter, because if the fate of the nation hangs on the Dynamic Cuatro of Powell, Byrne, Wood & Flynn, then the Globalists already won a long time ago, it’s all over except the crying.

It’s insane to think P,B,W&F are the “leadership” of anything that is going to take down the Global Cabal. Like a bad after-school special where Wonder Boy the high school nerd takes on the city’s most notorious gang and defeats them. It’s stupid.

As for Lin Wood, I never heard of the guy until his name started being mentioned here. He comes across as a genuine guy for the most part, but there’s something very weird about Flynn, et al moving into his house for a couple weeks, presumably working on undoing the stolen election (as Wood claims he believed), but Wood says he never asked them what they were doing.

If they were coming to my house for a week or two, and working out of my home, I would know what the people were doing in MY house, or they wouldn’t BE in my house.

But whatever they were doing, I certainly wouldn’t have assumed or believed they were going to rescue the Republic by working out of my basement. It’s stupid. It’s bad theater. It’s Patrick Macnee and Diana Rigg (a.k.a. The Avengers) vs. real life south American drug cartels. It’s “Mr. T” vs. real life intelligence agencies. It’s fantasy.

Nobody is going to take down the Globo / CCP cult without control of nation-state level resources. So Mike, Sidney and Pat having a slumber party at Lin’s place and riding around in the Mystery Machine van with Scooby and Shaggy just isn’t going to cut it.

Not even if Juan O. Savin joins their plucky little band of rapscallions. It’s farce.

Either the military is involved, in which case we’re back to the giant ‘sting operation’ narrative, or it’s already over.

IMO, of course 😁

Don’t forget they locked out the Biden people.

I wouldn’t worry about the show the military and defense people are putting on in public.

We’ve only been talking about that here since January 20, 2021.

Welcome to the end of the thought process, America.

Glad you could make it… 🤣😂🤣
