DEAR MAGA: TGIF Open Thread 20220701

Before digging into the meat of this post, we take time to pay our respects to the man who went up against the medical industrial complex and led the resistance to the COVID narrative.

Dr. Vladimir ‘Zev’ Zelenko passes away

Statement by Zelenko Labs on the Passing of our Founder Dr. Vladimir “Zev” Zelenko

It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of our founder Dr. Vladimir “Zev” Zelenko. Dr. Zelenko was a physician, scientist, and activist for medical rights who touched the lives of millions of people. Some were saved as his role as a doctor, and even more were inspired by his words. His “Zelenko Protocol” saved millions and earned him a Nobel Prize nomination and the admiration of a U.S. President among other prominent world leaders.

May he rest in peace. He did good during his time on Earth.

Okay, here we go. Diving in.

An American cocktail for which I can find no image:

J. R.s Revenge

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 oz Bourbon
  • 1/2 oz Southern Comfort
  • 2 dashes Bitters

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes combine all of the ingredients
  • Stir well
  • Strain into a cocktail glass for this cocktail.
  • We recommend using a cocktail glass for this cocktail.

Starting with the good news:

Sanity Prevails, Supreme Court Strikes Down EPA Cap and Trade Scheme for Power Plants

The Environmental Protect Agency (EPA) was attempting to restrict the energy production from coal-based power plants through a regulatory cap-and-trade scheme intended to limit the emissions from electricity plants. However, by a 6-3 vote the Supreme Court said today the Clean Air Act does not give the EPA broad authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from power plants. [pdf Ruling Here] The regulation -if any- must come from congress, not regulatory fiat from an executive agency.

Yes, it was a narrow ruling that could have had far more scope when it comes to reigning in regulatory agencies. It is still a victory.

Another take:

The incrementation of this issue is now a thing of the past.

The not so good news from SCOTUS:

Biden v. Texas: Remain in Mexico May End,
But Main Issue Is Unresolved

Washington, D.C. (June 30, 2022) – The Supreme Court’s decision in the Remain in Mexico case leaves the main question unresolved.

The Court finds that the Biden administration may end the program (formerly known as the Migrant Protection Protocols, or MPP) and the lower court’s injunction against it is invalid. The case now goes back to the circuit court to decide whether the program was terminated properly.

More important: The lower court also has to decide whether federal law’s detention mandate for illegal border-crossers is really a mandate and whether DHS is violating the law by releasing most illegal aliens instead of detaining them.

In other words, the plaintiffs’ argument is that the law requires either detention or Remain in Mexico for border-jumpers, with the limited exception of parole in extraordinary cases. The Biden administration has made that exception the rule and is releasing almost all illegal border-crossers (who aren’t expelled under Title 42, which it is also trying to end), and that is the central issue, still to be decided.

Also of interest when it comes to the Supreme Court:

Supreme Court won’t hear challenge to New York vaccine mandate for health care workers

Supreme Court to hear case on GOP ‘independent legislature’ theory that could radically reshape elections

AOC may want to get rid of SCOTUS, but they are already cutting out their work for themselves.

Other headlines:

FBI’s response to attacks on pregnancy clinics draws scrutiny

U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, sent a letter to FBI Director Chris Wray this week calling for a briefing on the issue and urging Wray to ensure these “violent attacks are recognized by the FBI and are being properly investigated for what they are – cases of abortion-related violent extremism.

“There have been at least 40 violent attacks on crisis pregnancy centers, religious institutions, and other pro-life entities since the Dobbs leak and before the Court even issued its final opinion,” Grassley wrote. “This violence continues to cause injury, damage to property, and interruption of constitutionally protected worship services all across the nation. In fact, it substantially accelerated last weekend, after the opinion was issued.

“Current threats from abortion extremists are impending, serious, and dangerous,” he added.

Pro-life groups say they fear the attacks will escalate into worse violence. They argued the media has given little attention to the attacks, which took off after the controversial leak of an early draft of the Supreme Court opinion that overturned Roe v. Wade weeks before the official decision was released.

Oops.

TRUE TRAGEDY ALERT!

Fourth of July Fireworks May Not Happen on July Fourth

Across America, Fourth of July fireworks won’t fly on the Fourth of July.

Some cities and towns are rescheduling their Independence Day fireworks shows because of a shortage of fireworks or workers.

The city of Ottawa, Kan., couldn’t get fireworks in time for July Fourth. So it is shooting them into the sky on the fourth of another month: September.

The two-month delay is because the fireworks ordered in February are still stuck on a ship from China, held up by supply-chain issues that have also caused shortages of pet foodfurniture and other products. The new date—Sept. 4—is the day before another holiday: Labor Day.

We can get the little stuff in the grocery stores here, so that might be it for us.

Trump Slams National Review, Noonan, Will for Not Seeing ‘Potential Greatness of Our Country’

Former President Donald Trump criticized three nominally conservative pundits as well as National Review magazine on Sunday following their recent dismissive pieces of the former president.

Trump excoriated Peggy Noonan, columnist for The Wall Street Journal and former speech writer for President Ronald Reagan; Rich Lowry, editor of National Review; and George Will, columnist for the Washington Post.

“I listen to all of these foolish (stupid!) people, often living in a bygone era, like the weak and frail RINO, Peggy Noonan, who did much less for Ronald Reagan than she claims, and who actually said bad things about him and his ability to speak, or Rich Lowry, who has destroyed the once wonderful and influential National Review, the pride and joy of the legendary William F. Buckley, or George Will, whose mind is decaying with hatred and envy before our very eyes, or Jonah Goldberg and Stephen Hayes, two people who are finally out of the conversation and of no relevance whatsoever,” Trump wrote in a press release distributed by his Save America PAC.

Well, alrighty then.

EXCLUSIVE: Steve Bannon Interviews the Heroic Archbishop Viganò

A “silent coup” is a coup d’état that takes place without the use of force, carried out by a government that exercises power in an unconstitutional way.

In this case the coup was carried out in all the Western nations almost simultaneously, beginning with the first years of the 1990s. For Italy, this coup began with the divestment of investee companies and the privatization of services that normally burdened the treasury, such as health and transportation services, following the directives given by high finance to Mario Draghi on June 2, 1992, on the yacht Britannia. Yes, Mario Draghi, who at the time was General Director of the Ministry of the Treasury and whom then-President of the Italian Republic Francesco Cossiga called a “cowardly businessman.” In other nations this coup took place in an analogous way, with a series of progressive transfers of sovereignty to supra-national entities like the European Commission, the European Central Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank. With the introduction of the euro [in 2002], monetary sovereignty was removed from the nations adhering to the Maastricht Treaty, transferring it to the European Central Bank, which is a private bank. This bank decides the rate with which it finances national budgets, using money that these same nations have already given it. In practice, the European Central Bank demands interest on money that it only returns a penny at a time, and only on certain conditions: reforms, cuts in public spending, the imposition of laws promoting gender equality, abortion rights, the indoctrination of children, etc. The introduction of a balanced budget requirement into the [Italian] Constitution – as if the State was a company – was also part of the silent coup.

All the members of these bodies, including the same rulers who have been appointed at the recommendation of non-elected powers or have succeeded in winning election thanks to the manipulation of information, are at the same time the servants of high finance power groups or of large investment funds – some were their employees, such as Draghi of Goldman Sachs – others became employees after their term ended. Just like the drug agencies and health organizations are composed of former BigPharma employees, who often receive consulting contracts and who are paid by the very pharmaceutical companies they are supposed to be keeping an eye on.

Up until the pandemic, power was in practice still managed at least formally by individual nations, and laws were passed by Parliaments. But for the last two years, the Parliaments have been deprived of authority, and all those whom the World Economic Forum and other lobbies have succeeded in placing at the high levels of governments and international institutions have begun to legislate against the Constitution and the interests of the Nation, obeying orders given to them from on high – “from the markets,” they tell us – which in fact is made up of a very small number of multinational corporations that engulf competing companies, flatten professional skills with damage to the quality of the product, and reduce the protection and wages of workers thanks to the complicity of unions and of the Left.

In short, we are governed by a high command of usurers and speculators, from Bill Gates who invests in large farms right on the eve of the food emergency or in vaccines just before the outbreak of the pandemic, to George Soros, who speculates on the fluctuations of currencies and government bondsand along with Hunter Biden finances a bio-laboratory in Ukraine.

One Question Could End the Biden Admin

The Fundamentalist Church of Free Trade

Since Congress foolishly delegated its powers to negotiate tariff rates to the executive branch in the 1930s (in the Reciprocal Trade Agreements Act of 1934) trade liberalism has become the norm. High-tariff Republicanism, which dates back to Lincoln, has been discarded. The very legitimate idea of protecting needy American industries, a fundamentally Hamiltonian belief, is now scoffed at by the Fundamentalist Church of Free Trade.

Certain high-ranking clergymen like Karl Rove, George Will, Bill Kristol, and Newt Gingrich will often dismiss those on the Right who speak favorably of tariff implementation as a way to facilitate a truly America-First economic agenda. Protectionist measures, they claim, are backward and “neo-isolationist.”

This is simply hogwash.

Dogmatic trade liberals completely dismiss the adverse effects of free trade. The fact of the matter is that certain trade liberalizing policies (think WTO and NAFTA) have slaughtered the Rust Belt. Many American cities which were once great epicenters of innovation and industrialization now look a lot like Aleppo. This, in turn, has led to the mass disenfranchisement of blue-collar workers who are told to enroll in largely ineffective job retraining programs.

Fragile students just need a hug

National Review’s failure to grasp the friend-enemy distinction is revealing

May I See Your ID?

Anyway, the following conversation, stripped to the essentials, took place between Yours Truly and the manager (a good guy, and I’d say twenty years younger than me) at a chain grocery store. I was buying wine.

“Do you have an ID?”

What for? I bought wine here many times and never needed an ID.

“It’s a new policy.”

Why? Don’t I look old enough?

“Well, we need the ID.”

Why? Do I look anywhere near 21?

“All the major chains [he named them in the area] are now doing it.”

That they are. But why? Do I look too young?

“It’s for your safety.”

Safety? How is it making me safe for you to see my ID?

“It’s policy.”

But why is it policy? I don’t look anywhere near 21.

The Dobbs Decision in One Easy Lesson

Now, I know that libs are mighty upset about the recent Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade. Add to this the undeniable fact that liberals, led by the likes of Crusty Joe, Dumbo Harris, and America’s favorite bartender, Ms. Occasional-Cortex, are generally none too bright.

But let’s face it, libs, angry and stupid is no way to go through life. So as a public service to dummies all across the fruited plains, I’ve put together a FAQ on the current state of abortion in the U.S.

For added realism, imagine all the questions spoken in a whiny, petulant voice by some soft, lumpen incel like, say, Brian Stelter.

AMOS 8:4-6, 9-12

4Hear this, you who trample upon the needy, and bring the poor of the land to an end, 5saying, “When will the new moon be over, that we may sell grain? And the sabbath, that we may offer wheat for sale, that we may make the ephah small and the shekel great, and deal deceitfully with false balances, 6that we may buy the poor for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals, and sell the refuse of the wheat?” 9“And on that day,” says the Lord GOD, “I will make the sun go down at noon, and darken the earth in broad daylight. 10I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; I will bring sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness on every head; I will make it like the mourning for an only son, and the end of it like a bitter day. 11“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord GOD, “when I will send a famine on the land; not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD. 12They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, to seek the word of the LORD, but they shall not find it.

That’d get ya a visit with the strap, … dad’s strap .. 😫

JW in Germany

It was a 2×4 made into a paddle and holes cut into it for aerodynamics. 😲

charlie

laughing… that paddle was used in our grade schools

wowohwow1528

Mine too, junior high in Detroit. The teacher was African American, tall guy, pleasant personality but absolutely did not take any guff. Being so tall the use of the paddle would be epically painful. He did use it too.

wowohwow1528

Mostly lippy punks who didn’t know better and learned the hard way.

singingsoul1

My kids had the best African American teacher for social studies. My they learned so much about this country. The teacher had been in the military and did not take any crap.
I admired the man so much and the kids loved him.

Yes singing 🎶, the teacher I had was a good decent man.

singingsoul1

There are still decent people and that gives hope.

Aubergine

Jeez, I had the same teacher! Lol. Gigantic black man, Vietnam War vet, third-degree black belt in Karate, best social studies teacher I ever had. He let us call him “Mr. P” in class, and if we saw him out public, we could call him “Chip.” I loved that guy.

singingsoul1

Those good people are sprinkled around the country and they do not make waves like the incompetent teachers do.

Aubergine

True.

Hey Wolf, I accidentally “followed” you & couldn’t figure out which person I’d hit. Got limited computer access but finally signed in to email & got Lots of messages about your comments. I just Unfollowed you like you’d previously requested. I’m very sorry if those finger flubs caused you extra hassles.

Hope you are having a wonderful Independence Day celebration! God Bless!!!

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Good deal! Glad you got it to work. I appreciate the effort!

Having a good time, and will have some fun tomorrow, too. Hope you’re doing well, too.

God Bless and Happy Fourth!!!

Valerie Curren

Whew! We’ve been having a nice time, but most people are returning home tomorrow & Hubby starts that New Job on Tuesday!!!!!!

Gas is cheaper in Northern Michigan again. We actually found some in the $4.60’s when it was $5ish at home…usually it’s 10 cents cheaper at home.

A nice campfire discussion w/ most of the family up here included silly stuff (like Mad Libs & tall tales from our lives) & then turned to scripture. Josiah started us on that path reading out from Genesis to the group. Last night a few 20 somethings, my kids & a nephew, spontaneously had prayer, praise, & testimonies around the fire–We are Blessed & it’s great to see that our next generation is going to be OK when we’re gone!

Apropos of not a lot, I had to get my car towed from the Oakland Hills down to Santa Clara a couple of Saturdays ago when its radiator blew up. The tow truck that got dispatched was one of those “lift the entire car up on to a flatbed” dealios, which was overlarge for the location. My car was on a compound slope in a narrow street, where it could easily have rolled forward into a high curb or backward over the edge of an embankment and 40 feet down onto Hwy 13. Even after my car was loaded up, the driver had to thread his way through some questionable alleyways to get headed down the highway toward my neighborhood.

This segued into a discussion of how people who knew how to do things were continually second-guessed by politicians who had shit for brains, and how “the old ways” were not being passed down. I was informed that many newer cars (e.g. Prius, Tesla) had no spare tires, and how they were supposed to be foamed if punctured. Mind you, Larry had a multi-generational attachment to Oakland, California…..but we had a lively, friendly, and vivacious conversation.

He told me that I’d get a survey message and he’d appreciate a positive review.

I visited AAA today to renew my auto registration, but I also took the time to ask why I’d never been asked about my experience with Larry. The AAA employee who renewed my DMV said that she’d had a similar experience a couple of months back and never could give feedback. I noted that it seemed important for Larry, and that made it important for me.

So, I now have an address and some trouble to make. Seriously, if you’re stuck in Oakland hoping for a tow, I hope you get Larry — he’s great — …..and can get him just a slight bit closer to a red pill…..

Cruel and Unusual Punishment: DOJ Instructs VA to Suspend All Benefits of January 6th Prisoner Held in DC Gulag – This is What Happens When “Vindictive Leftists get in Charge”

Pretty sure DoJ does not have authority to boss the VA around. [both are cabinet agencies]

Demmunists.

para59r

Okay, but which part of weaponizing the govt are we not understanding?

Loui Ghomert was quite clear that there were many other vets still locked up but it hadn’t happened to any of them and he suspected that it was because his wife was making noise.

Unfortunately if you tunnel through the maze of bureaucracy and regulations that are part of (any govt entity) the VA’s regulations and directives you can finally arrive at the spot that allows for what happened to this vet. The thing being someone took the time to do this and did it to just this one guy even though it might be considered premature and was certainly all based off of Trumped up charges.

mollypitcher5

I’m going to add the question…which way will a corrupt weaponized govt will be used against each one of us ….it IS going to happen.

They are evil. Louis Gohmert “is working to address the situation with Republican colleagues after it was brought to his attention earlier this week, according to The Epoch Times.” I hope he can get this reversed.

para59r

Hopefully yes, but they are going to have to find their own lever of pressure to make that so. Mean time The Epoch Times provides a link the givesendgo account page and it shows that the wife is 2/3rds the way to her modest goal. https://www.givesendgo.com/G22ZH

Another post chock-full of good content. I have one wish, though, and that is if the authors or sources of the articles linked in blue could be posted as well as the titles. It would help to know an article’s source without having to click on the link, especially when there’s not time to read everything. Thanks for your consideration!

Are you? 🤣

That’s a good idea, TT! I would never have thought about the benefit, though I do note the source and author and take their past work into consideration when deciding on a piece’s likely validity.

Alison

Agree, DP. Your contributions here are above and beyond, and I don’t say often enough how much I appreciate you AND your links. It’s a bit like you’ve incorporated Flep’s work into yours (remember his arrays of tweet info?) and we all benefit.

Barb Meier

Thanks for gong through all the “cathartic pablum”. I do think it is a good suggestion for myself since I sometimes share things on FB with family and don’t give an intro… no offense to you intended, DP. 🙂

TheseTruths

I do note the source and author and take their past work into consideration

Yes, me too. Since I know that anything posted by an author here would be from a reputable source, that is not the issue. It helps me to know which one. Some sources have a particular frame of reference. I will use Wolf’s suggestion.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Does your browser have a “hover” feature that shows the URL when you hold the pointer over the link? That’s what I use.

For the record, I’m neutral on this. “Author freedom” is extremely high here.

SPEAKING OF AUTHORS…..

I will be looking for people interested in authoring very soon.

TheseTruths

I checked, and there is a hover function that I haven’t used before. The source is so tiny, at the bottom of the page, that I never noticed it. I will use that. Thanks!

Valerie Curren

I hope some of the existing authors take the time to do another post too! I need to tweak a couple that have been on the back burner. Seeing your comment I Really hope I might get the draft one involving my dad’s view “done” while we’re still together Up North, but it Really depends on our energy. In God’s hands, like Everything!

Crackpot SCOTUS Justice Warns Eastern US Could be “Swallowed by the Ocean” in Minority Dissent to EPA Ruling

June 30, 2022, 9:56 pm by Jim Hoft

It’s hard to believe that anyone really thinks that. They are either that ill-informed or they are globalists, which means they are not America-first, which means they have no business having a position of power in this country. Osatan, yes. And we just swore in another one. Her speciality seems to be race and gender issues.

Unfortunately the next cartoon on this subject will likely be Administrative Tyranny rising from the dead as a freaking ghoul waving it’s sword around once again. These types don’t take no for an answer and it would be no skin off their backs to continue with the abuse until they are driven from their offices or people rise up in mass and gather up all the bureaucratic nonsense and burn it in the street.

Kind of like with what’s happening here.
Dutch farmers are pissed off… Flipping police cars… where the govt is wanting a 30% reduction in live stock farming.

Gosh, I thought the world was experiencing food shortages? Oh wait… that’s only the normies that are seeing that. Media and the govts are mostly silent on this issue as they are the cause of it. Unless they think some pandering with the masses needs to be done we don’t seem to hear a peep and then we see lips moving and little else.

BTW, noticed that the babyfood aisles where we shop have had zero improvements.

Biden Takes Aim at America’s Largest Oil Field, Threatens to Stop Production, Sending Gas Prices Soaring

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is preparing to cite the United States’ largest oil field for violating ozone pollution standards, a move that will threaten the end of oil and gas production in the region.

According to the Texas Governor’s Office, the proposed regulations will directly affect the Permian Basin, the largest oil field in the United States, accounting for 95,000,000 gallons of gasoline per day or 40% of the oil produced domestically.

(Watch them ignore the Supreme Court decision on this and continue to push this junk.)

This after the Federal Govt has been looking into the impact on the economy that 200 a dollar oil barrel prices will have.

It’s in the depop plan. They are following and will continue to follow the depop plan. Build Back Better is for Them and Not Us.

“Trump DESTROYS Jan 6th STAR witness who absurdly accused him of hijacking The Beast”

_____________

And yet he just keeps the controversy going, he doesn’t end it, when he easily could.

I meant to include that DJT’s limo had a “smoke button” along with the “drop oil” and “drop tire spikes” button. I was only half-way kidding about the oil and tire spike buttons, but we can now confirm that it does have a “smoke-screen dispenser” 👍 😁

Boot: Firefighting system, tear gas and smoke-screen dispensers.”

Rear Compartment: Seats President and up to four passengers with glass partition — only Trump has a switch to lower it.”

comment image

.
.

Apparently the rear compartment seats 5 people. The POTUS and another passenger at the rear facing toward the front of the limo, and seats immediately in front of the glass partition that face toward the rear of the car, which can accommodate up to three people.

Here is the driver’s compartment:

comment image

Appears to be two seats (not a bench seat) with the headrests sticking up well above the bottom of the glass partition.

.

I found a better view of the driver compartment:

comment image

.

Best view of the glass partition area I could find:

comment image

.

So if DJT lowered the glass partition, he would have to get past whoever was sitting in front of the glass partition, then DJT (age: 76) would have to crawl THROUGH the opened partition window, and pull himself down into the driver compartment.

At that point, there would be three adults in the driver compartment, which only has two seats. So best case scenario, DJT is sitting on the communications console between the seats, while overpowering two Secret Service agents.

After overpowering the Secret Service agent who rides shotgun, then DJT could proceed to incapacitate the driver and, finally, grab the steering wheel.

But he can’t get to the gas or brake pedals because the driver’s body is in the way.

And he can’t move the driver’s body out of the way (remember, all of this is supposed to be taking place while the car is moving), because he would have to move the driver’s body over his OWN body first — but then there’s the problem of the first agent he overpowered (the one riding in the passenger seat).

The unconscious body of the agent that was riding shotgun is still in the passenger seat, so POTUS could not pull the Driver out of the driver seat, over his own body, and into the passenger seat, in order to slide behind the wheel and take control of the Limo himself.

So not only is the whole story silly, it’s not even feasible. 😁

DJT could easily point all of this out, but he doesn’t even try, so for whatever reason, he appears to want to keep the story going on purpose.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.

AMEN.

Brinton was supposed to give a talk at Rensselaer on his political experiences and LGBTQ advocacy. Nope. Instead, Brinton talked about “kink sex” He also “demonstrated” various kinds of “equipment” and “appliances” that are used.

TradeBait2

Great start to Friday, DePat. Enjoyed it!

Day 8 of no A/C on the main floor of the house. Fortunate to have a basement villa with another A/C to handle the bottom floor where we spend most of our time away from the oppressive heat. So circling around the fan is a reminder of how it really was as a youngster, but also how it is when on the main floor today.

Point being our problem is a supply chain issue. Have everything now but the coil, which it must have, along with the hydrostatic air filtration. Estimated date of install is a week from today unless the parts can be located sooner. This is for a quality Trane product, not the lower end of HVACs.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Good to know!

TradeBait2

They are. Good to hear about your dad’s. We installed them at our previous home 25 years ago and really liked the system. We’ve had another good brand, American Standard, that was installed during construction by the builder developer here. But they are base models that are of the 15-20 year variety and not particularly good with the SEER with rising energy costs. So the first and only call was to the reputable local dealer/servicer for Trane.

cthulhu

Johnson Controls makes the York, TempMaster, Coleman, and certain Hitachi AC units. We were going to get a York but subbed in a Coleman and saved $$$. In this case, you may also be able to save lead time.

Linda

I’m having the same problem, TradeBait. I’m still waiting, after a week, just to get an estimate on a new A/C. They told me what a new compressor would cost, but it’s on backorder and is almost as costly as getting a new A/C. So I’m going for the new if the cost is reasonable.

TradeBait2

The infernal “backorder” during supply chain disruptions is a nightmare.

Best idea to go new depending on the age of your existing unit IMO. An older unit when you just replace the compressor – what happens to that newer compressor when the other major parts go out on the older unit and you are faced with replacing the entire thing in the near future You just paid for an expensive compressor that is no longer useful.

If your unit is newer, then it probably makes sense to just replace the compressor.

cthulhu

It helps to have a general understanding of how AC (or, for that matter, a heat pump) works. It’s all about High School Physics. If you compress a gas, it gets hotter — particularly if you compress it so much that it turns liquid. This is why you submerge SCUBA tanks in water when you get a fill — going from 15 psi to 3000 psi is a lot of compression and your tanks get quite warm [it also helps in case your tank decides to go foom during the fill].

You now have this very heated compressed gas. If you run it through a radiator, a lot of the heat will be radiated. If you have AC, the outdoor “compressor” unit has the compressor pump, radiator, and a fan all in one unit.

You then pump the (still warm) compressed gas into the house. HVAC units have segments — first, a filter, then a heater, then an AC segment, then an “air handler” (I may have the order wrong). These are separate boxes and largely do not interact. When we moved our forced-air heating into the attic, we put an empty box in place of the AC unit — so it was extremely easy to add the AC four years later.

When the warm compressed gas goes into the AC unit, it is trickled into an evaporative coil, where it is allowed to evaporate when the pressure is released. Just like putting a wet towel on something, this cools the coil — and excess cool gas is sent back outside to the compressor to start over again.

That is the basics of AC and refrigeration. Pump it hot, radiate it, move it, evaporate it, then send it back to the pump.

A lot of the fancy stuff that also happens involves condensation. If your AC system doesn’t move sufficient air past the evaporative coil, moisture will condense on the coil and freeze — impeding further air movement. In a refrigerator, there will often be “defrost cycles” — and then weird ducting to take the melted icewater and dump it somewhere people are unlikely to notice. You may have noted a similar situation when you park your car on a hot day and find that it has tinkled in its parking space. Home AC systems typically have drain pits 2’x2’x2′ for the primary condensation drain, with a second drain line that runs in front of a door or window in case the primary gets clogged. When running your AC, it is vital to maintain air filters so that they provide little or no resistance. Amusingly, running forced-air heat with a slightly clogged filter makes the distributed air warmer.

Replacing one segment of an HVAC system shouldn’t be all that frightening — each segment is largely self-contained. Then, again, I’m the guy whose car radiator just ruptured.

Pulling Back The Curtain On The ‘Real’ US Economy

“Revised numbers on US GDP from the Bureau Of Economic Analysis indicate that the economy faces a deeper contraction than originally reported.  GDP shrank in the first quarter of 2022 by 1.6%; this is an impressive and sharp reversal from the fourth quarter of last year, which saw GDP grow by 6.9% due primarily to the continued circulation of covid stimulus dollars and consumer credit spending.

It’s important to keep in mind that this plunge in GDP occurred BEFORE the Federal Reserve started raising interest rates.  Meaning, the Fed did in fact raise rates into economic weakness, much like they did during the onset of the Great Depression, causing even more damage to the economy in the process and prolonging the effects of the crisis. The difference this time is that we do not face a standard deflationary threat, but a stagflationary one. It’s a completely different ballgame.

Calls for recession are ample from the mainstream financial media and many alternative analysts, though the assumption among many is that price inflation will track down as the recession pressures grow.  This may not be the case.

JJ Sefton’s ‘Morning Report’ this a.m. is bang on!

FTA

snip … “Recall in 2007 the horrendous SCOTUS decision that declared the EPA can regulate carbon dioxide as an atmospheric pollutant that contributes to “global warming.” The chief perpetrator of that was John Paul Stevens, with henchmen Anthony Kennedy, David Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Stephen Breyer concurring. Roberts filed the dissent with Scalia, Thomas and Alito concurring. Aside from the fact that manmade global warming/climate change is a complete myth, labeling CO2 as a pollutant is an equally dangerous bromide. Along with oxygen, CO2 is essential for life on earth to exist and therefore is not, never was and never will be a pollutant given the biology of this world, and given the fact that every living thing on this planet is carbon based. That said, virtually every industrial process, every engine and indeed all forms of animal life on this planet emit CO2 to one degree or another. You can well imagine the consequences if it were to be regulated by individuals with the mindset of Scoldilocks Greta Thunberg and worse Gina McCarthy.

The equally crucial issue that the link discusses is the effect this ruling has on the power of the bureaucracy itself. The Politico headline says it all: “How SCOTUS’ upcoming climate ruling could defang Washington.” Starting with the 16th Amendment and certainly with FDR’s new deal — all the way up to the EPA itself (thanks, Tricky Dick) — the very foundations of American government, wherein political power was supposed to be vested primarily in the citizenry and then the states with certain very limited powers delegated to a federal government, was turned completely upside down. Since that time, and metastasizing like cancer, a giant unelected, unaccountable bureaucracy in Washington issues edicts and regulations that have the force of law behind them. No one voted for that. And yet, you defy a governmental agency in any way, shape or form and you’ll wonder what fell on you. Funny, we fought a revolution and won our independence from a tyrannical monarchy on the very same grounds. “No taxation without representation” should ring a bell, unless your main textbook in school was Ibram X. This is what Facebook DOES – PSY-OP.

Just read this excerpt:

Since Trump’s 2016 victory, this fluid consortium has built structures that match powerful funding—with fringe ideological activists, with government offices—in an effort to create a narrative that nothing was ever wrong with American elections. These structures also reorient the administration of elections in ways that benefit progressives, such as wide use of automatic mail voting.

Extraordinary efforts were made in 2020 to claim mail voting was problem-free despite the evidence and despite elections in New Jersey being overturned because of mail ballot fraud.

Note the invitations were sent to criminal prosecutors at both the FBI and Department of Justice.

If there was no voter fraud, as Brennan Center hacks claim, then why were the prosecutors invited to the party?

This is how they created a psychological stonewall of BELIEF.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Yup.

Here are my thoughts.

(1) Good guy, no record – now protected by constitutional carry. Having a pistol in his car is not a crime, but he likely had no training, did not understand. GET TRAINING, PEOPLE!!!

(2) Did he fire at cops, or just have an accidental discharge in the car? Sounds like he fired at them – max stupid.

(3) Fleeing the cops is ALWAYS a bad idea. Stupid. THIS IS WHY.

Black has nothing to do with it.

(A) Fleeing the cops is a crime.

(B) Shooting at the cops is a deadly force crime, that allows them to shoot back.

(C) FREEZING upon capture is advised. If you’re confused by cop instructions, it is better to DO NOTHING for as long as it takes. They’re not shooting because of what you’re doing now, so KEEP DOING IT. Absolutely don’t move.

I have questions, too. Just traffic tickets, legal gun legally carried. If he had played correctly, zero problems except maybe a ticket or warning.

“(2) Did he fire at cops, or just have an accidental discharge in the car? Sounds like he fired at them – max stupid.”

__________

Or did he fire at all?

How about a gunshot residue test on the suspect’s hands?
(of course, if it comes back negative, they’ll just lose that report on the double quick-time, so the test will only matter if the results bolster’s the state’s case)

Did the suspect even have a gun?

After they went all Pinochet death squad on the guy, it would look at least a tiny bit less bad if they dropped a back-up gun in his car and then claim the driver fired a shot in some vague direction.

TradeBait2

Don’t own or carry a gun if you are untrained in its use. Period. The game was over the second he fired at them with a high speed chase involved. Doesn’t matter if he tried running away unarmed. He set events in motion and the officers would not know if he had additional weapons even if they were aware of the gun in the abandoned vehicle.

Just pull over. Let the officer know you have a legally purchased gun. Take it from there. Live another day after dealing with the issues at hand. As Wolf posted, minor issues that may have resulted in a ticket; not death.

Sadly TB2, all these race pimps have brainwashed the black community. They’ve taught them to hate and disrepect the police, that ACAB and if they get pulled over they’ll be killed. EVERY last one of these black deaths are a result of them disobeying orders and not submitting to authority. They hustlers are killing their own.

TradeBait2

And laughing about it as they pursue the legal settlements in the aftermath. Right, Crump?

Evil.

We had a 17 year old HS student bring a gun to school in the past year. Left his classes, went to the parking lot, got a gun he bought off a thug, came back in mad at the world or his girlfriend, holed up in the restroom, a student reported him, 3 police officers entered, try to take the gun away, he shoots the gun and hits one officer in the leg as he entered, two other officers got to him in a stall and wrestled with him taking the gun away as he continued to shoot, the kid grabs at one of the officer’s guns, and the third officer who is at his back pulls his weapon and puts him down – dead. All on body cam. Most law abiding citizens hated that the kid was that wild and stupid, but applauded the officers for facing down a serious threat and saving innocent lives.

You would have thought the kid was valedictorian model student and person with how some people and the media acted. They tried so hard to make it out to be something it was not week after week, month after month. Of course the DA ruled favorably for the officers after a thorough investigation. But during the process here came Crump and the other hustlers. He left quickly when he figured out he was getting no traction, which meant no money. The deceased’s family sued anyway before the statute of limitation ran out to try to scam some money from the school system. Don’t know how that went, but I would have told them to go pound sand and here’s the bill for all pf our costs for cleaning up their son’s mess.

The sad thing is that community, known for its violence through the decades, have seen a half dozen of their kids killed by thug and gang violence in drive-by shootings. Yet, they will not report the culprits because they “are not snitches”. Sick and stupid.

Probably on ADHD or mood drugs, as well.

mollypitcher5

It’s the rap culture too…glorifies guns and being outlaws.
All the damn balloons that get released in honor of dead thugs has probably killed tons of little creatures or sea life.

Yes ma’am.

“Don’t own or carry a gun if you are untrained in its use. Period.”

__________

I dunno…

If he had to be instructed not to shoot at police, it could be that firearms training wasn’t his highest need… 😂

TradeBait2

🤣

“Sources say some of the last shots were fired while Walker’s body was on the pavement. Walker was on the ground dead when medical help arrived.”

_____________

I’m impressed that they weren’t still using the body for target practice when medical help arrived.

Surprised the cops didn’t hand guns to the medical help and encourage them to get a little impromptu practice time in.

Actually, I’m surprised the cops didn’t follow the ambulance to the morgue and shoot the corpse some more. And handcuff him again.

.

“Autopsy records show he was handcuffed after the shooting.”

_____________

That’s some genius police work right there.

Everybody knows unarmed corpses riddled with 60+ bullet holes need to be handcuffed immediately.

And then stand back and shoot it a few more times, just to be sure

.

“He was not armed at the time he was shot, sources said.”

_____________

Well of course not. If he had been armed at the time he was shot, they would have put at least a 1,000 bullets in him.

Maybe 2,000.

Why didn’t they use a bazooka on the lifeless body?

SWAT team has bazookas for blowing up dead citizens, don’t they?

😁

TradeBait2

Well it is the hot summer time, a time noted for looting TV’s and such. Need to gin up some outrage…

mollypitcher5

A bazooka finale would be a nice touch and pro tip to the officers…maybe after the corpse is handcuffed do a swahili circle dance around it…that might help in the insanity determination phase of the trial

scott467

Some found footage, apparently a neighbor complained that the suspect’s car had expired plates.

Cops take that seriously in Akron.

Looks like the suspect tried to escape in a bus, but the cops wuz waitin’ for ’em:

Ground report –

Last day of month used my fuel points for .40 off/gallon. Got a little over half a tank, 12.85 gallaons @$3.91 for $50.35. Thank God I didn’t need a full tank!! Sooo grateful not to be in Californistan!!

More Good news:
My $1.39 eggs that sky rocketed to $3.39 decreased to $2.99.
Green grapes (4th of July special) went from not available to $5.50/lb to .97/lb. 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️ I stocked up! Have been a red grape biggot for the last 25 years, but surprisingly this past year my palette changed. In the summer they’re YUGE and have no seeds unlike my seedless red grapes which always have seeds.🥴😕🙃

They’re pushing pork this holiday. Loin, ground, all forms discounted. Snagged some ground for $2.99/lb on sale. Current price is $4.99, many moons ago it was $2.79.

I HATE BIDENFLATION !!!

HAPPY 4TH EVERYONE!!!🎆🎇🧨✨

Thanks for the report, and Happy 4th! 🇺🇸
Seedless red grapes aren’t supposed to have seeds. 😊🍇 I haven’t had that issue with them.

singingsoul1

I grow my own grapes. They are big and purple. The other grapes are green yellow and smaller and very tasty.

TheseTruths

Sounds wonderful!

singingsoul1

Wonderful and sometimes messy. If I do not get them the raccoons have a feast. They suck out the grapes and spit out the skin 🙂

phoenixrising

You never cease to amaze me! Learn something interesting from you frequently!

I just do how my grandmother grew her garden and grapes. She was one step ahead of me made wine. Believe me if I did not have my husband I would be the strangest person you ever know. He says “he saves me from me.” 🙂
Growing grapes is so Biblical and the metaphors are wonderful. They grow over head of my pergola that hangs on a small slope. I love being out there having grapes growing above when eating. I keep pretending I am in Southern France 🙂

phoenixrising

How lovely. a pergola and grapes … pretending to be in Southern France. These times require a ‘happy’ place … so glad you have one!

singingsoul1

Yes I love building outdoor rooms 🙂 I have two one secret with a fountain stone table build from OH stone . That hideaway has clematises climbing roses two different grapes growing up. It can rain and it is dry underneath. Love the place.Nice for meditation or being creative drawing or writing reflections and poetry. It is a place where I feel one with nature it is a thin place. 🙂 We all need a place like that I think to feel whole at least I need it.

phoenixrising

Yes, and I am glad you have yours. You are a beautiful Soul … we are so lucky to have you among us. 😉

singingsoul1

You are one of the treasurers here 🙂
I am lucky to be here among all your wonderful souls. What a beautiful people how lucky can I be? God is good 🙂

YUMMY! It gets too hot here

singingsoul1

We are hot right now but maybe not where you are. One cannot kill these grapes they are Concord a person gave me a little stalk and a year after it was growing up my Pergola, I have made grape jelly if I pick them before the raccoons enjoy them 🙂

Aubergine

I grow grapes, too. There are only a few varieties that will survive a Montana winter, though.
