Dear KAG: 20230719 Open Thread

Cover image somewhere in the Ozarks:

Yeah, that’s what the rivers look like.

Long day. Zonked out. This is a placeholder. I’ll put links in the comments once it is up.

Have a good day y’all.

(I don’t remember who brought this to a daily in the comments, but thanks.)

And, of course, the obligatory George Carlin:

Per the Boss:

And now for the obligatory message from our sponsors:

Here at the Q tree we believe in the concept of CIVIL open free speech and the discussion that fleshes out ideas. When commenting and participating in the OPEN discussion on this thread all comments MUST NOT CONTAIN personal threats, baiting, name calling, or other anti-social words fomenting hate, violence or destruction. Our host Wolfm00n has strict rules about that.

Fellow tree dweller, the late Wheatie, gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone

Please, stock up on blanks for celebratory gunfire, be ready to swing from the chandeliers…and no messing with the nuclear weapons.

Please remember to remain locked and loaded and ready for trouble should the insurrectionists try to invade your space.

Those who have things to say that do not fit the generally accepted limits of “civil” discussion, Wolf has provided a venue known as the UTree. You’re welcome to visit over there and say hi to anyone hanging out over there. The “Rescue Thread” is also over there. In the event a rendezvous of the tree is needed, please check it out, as well as the newest rescue venue.

Auntie DePat’s requests:

If you see something has not been posted, do us all a favor, and post it. Please, do not complain that it has not been done yet.

The scroll wheel on your mouse can be your friend. As mature adults, please use it here in the same manner you would in avoiding online porn.

Thank you so much for any and all attention to such details. It is GREATLY appreciated by more than one party here.

One other vital note:

Please, review these rules that our host Wolfm00n outlined toward the beginning of the growth of the tree itself. it won’t take long.

PSALMS 103:1-4, 6-7

1Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name! 2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, 3who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, 4who redeems your life from the Pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, 6The LORD works vindication and justice for all who are oppressed. 7He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel.

As always, prayers for the fight against that which seeks to enslave us are welcome.

Please include: President Donald Trump, the Q team, our soldiers in the field, special forces, tactical units, first responders and those working behind the scenes…and any and all people with family members in the hospital, COVID or not.

And…members of the QTree who no longer participate for one reason or another.

It is quite clear, as per Wolf’s message from July, that we are under spiritual attack. Building up a robust arsenal of prayer and discipline is a must in fighting the enemy and his minions.

In that spirit, the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel from Tuesday’s threads, and the Breastplate of St. Patrick, not to mention the Litany of Humility are favorites recommended by exorcists in spiritual warfare.

Thank you, DePat, for this Wednesday thread that arrived RIGHT ON TIME.

cthulhu

Action shot of someone trying to put together a thread like DePat —

scott467

The pros do it uphill.

Gail Combs

Yeah, it is called Telemark skiing.

The Ups and Downs of Telemark Skiing Being a cheapskate I really loved Telemark skiing — lift pass? Nope!

Actually I was practicing on a bunny slope in NH one day and ended up as the ‘ski retriever’ for a group of amputees. With Telemark skies I could go up or down slope with equal ease without leaving foot prints so it was a natural fit.

That was in the early 1980s. The gear has evolved a bit since then.

My introduction to Telemark was via a caving buddy who taught the technique to the British Army recruits. He had me learning on the top of mtns. in the Canadian Rockies up near Alaska. I was skiing in snow that was well over my head. I know this because I managed to ‘fall off my skies’ and then had to get back on the bloody things with nothing to stand on but fluffy powder snow. 🙄 Obviously I finally managed the feat, but do not ask me HOW I did it.

cthulhu

My heart just bleeds.

Voter rolls are garbage across the nation, and ProPublica runs a dozen sob stories against trying to clean them in Georgia. Then says, “the people trying to clean them wouldn’t talk to ProPublica”, as if that’s a surprise.

What’s worse, half the sob stories sound like totally legit reasons to drop people off the rolls.

scott467

“This is one place where everyone, left and right, should be in full agreement – clean voter rolls.”

___________

Why would Left ever want voter rolls cleaned?

Conservatives win when the voter rolls are ‘clean’.

The Left wins when voter rolls are ‘dirty’.

The last thing in the world the Left wants is a fair fight, because in a fair fight, the Left gets annihilated.

And they know it.

It’s only Marquess of Queensberry that wants a fair fight, that way they can lose with virtue, which is what really matters most to them.

TradeBait2

^^^ This. From personal experiences going back over 45 years.

It has always been about the ballot, not the vote. Local participation in the election system is a must by patriots.

The fight is against the Uniparty system of retaining power. Which is centered around cheating the vote as necessary.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

You’re assuming both sides value the integrity of the system more than winning.

phoenixrising

There is only ONE side — not two

Ross Perot screamed it in the ’80s … RON Paul joined his choir and has never changed his tune …

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Your point that it’s a uniparty is true, but I was talking about us vs. the Uniparty.

phoenixrising

Sorry … reading comprehension problem …

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Fair enough!

Many of us suffer now and then from too much blood in the caffeine stream.

cthulhu

Yeah, except this time our guns would be loaded.

scott467

Amazing the things he says. What an insignificant POS Kelly is.

TradeBait2

Which proves, once again, that even PDT probably did not fully understand the depth of the treason, corruption and buffoonery when he walked into the oval office. He thought the military would be in his corner.

Most of his hires felt they needed to rein him in for their own doofus or swamp reasons. Yet, ISIS was destroyed, ME peace occurred, North Korea bridge building occurred, USMCA occurred, exits of bad trade and climate pacts occurred, wall building began, the economy took off like a rocket ship, and so on. America was once again respected on the world stage and people had jobs making good money.

If that is what chaos and a gunfight delivers, sign me up.

ROBERT BAKER

Not to be controversial about this topic DP but I believe Trump was hoodwinked numerous times by a great number of people. Pence being the most obvious example of betrayal. Of course, just what I observed from my seat in the balcony.

Aubergine

An unpopular opinion, but in my view, you are correct.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

It’s only unpopular with people who think “Trump can’t possibly have made a mistake its all part of the Plan.”

Aubergine

I know. But there are quite a few of those.

Gail Combs
  1. Trump is HUMAN.
  2. The Uniparty is WIDE and DEEP
  3. The Cabal has blackmail on just about anyone who gets near the halls of power.
  4. The Uniparty Congress had to APPROVE Trump’s picks
  5. As Sundance said, MAGA resumes only made it to the circular file thanks to OH!Bummer’s plants in personnel.
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

No doubt he got fed false information, and didn’t get fed a lot of true information.

But some of the people he brought in were people he already knew, and they turned out to be backstabbers or not sufficiently MAGA.

If blackmail is as pervasive as you imply, there’s basically absolutely no one Trump can hire, period.

pgroup2

As long as he tosses NSA/NSC out of the WH, things should go smoother

scott467

He better dismantle them.

If he doesn’t, they’ll just continue attacking the Executive Branch until they win.

If people think Elon is having trouble rooting out infiltrators from Tweeter, just imagine the job of rooting out infiltrators and bad actors from the Behemoth of the Federal Gargantuan Government.

Sort of like ‘Take a penny, leave a penny’.

Aubergine

Lol, invest in dive gear.

Barb Meier

Try that in a small town.

slowcreekno

The story was interesting, of the cult that predicted the flood and how their failed prediction didn’t seem to make them start thinking that perhaps this was a fiction all the time, but instead they doubled down.

This resembles the way the climate «prophets» have been announcing one disaster after another for the last 60 years (or more), yet they never seem to stop and think about whether this is something real, or just fiction. Instead the story goes ever more like «next time is for real! Be Prepared!», and then the next disaster completely fails to appear as well. Repeat while profitable.

Cuppa Covfefe

And in the normal dry spells in between, as as happened in the Ahr valley over here the last 40 years or so, they forget about patterns, and the past, and build houses and other structures in flood plains.

Then, again cyclical, rains occur, then floods, and they declare… OOOHHHHH NOOOEES, GORE-BULL WARMING…. and cry for ever more measures against that horrible CO², never thinking about RED China, India, and all the other countries that spew hundreds of times as much as Germany. As if Germany could cancel that out.

As if CO² were even a problem.

Then, after the smoke, OK, water, clears (and nothing useful is done by TPTB, natch) they quietly walk back the BS, and start building again in the same flood plain.

Die Linke, SPD, Greens, FDP, CDU/CSU (now both greener than green) are all on the same Merkel’sche page… no logic, no background, no science, only profi for the prophets of planned doom… only the AfD (our MAGA) say anything or suggest anything useful, and they’re viciously attacked for that…

The latest on that front is that the not Cs of the traffic-light coalition are discussing taking away passports from known “right-wing extremists”, or even people possibly headed to cities where so-called right-wing extremism exists! Meanwhile, the polling numbers for the traffic-light and “I know nothink” Scholz are plummeting. Same as for the DEMONRATS, when the going gets tough, lie, cheat, steal, and harrass your opponent, at any cost (especially for them)…

That’s what they get for listening to a Demonically disturbed puppet of Satan Sauros who spends 20% of the time she should be in school (Fridays for the failure, as it were) going around preaching her enviro lies to anyone who will listen (or won’t).
Greta the Greenwasher…

Another reason to not join the “debate”.

Valerie Curren

Fun!

cthulhu

On a more cheerful and goofy tangent…..

Valerie Curren

LOL I thought for sure the biggest tire would win…it’s like failing physics all over again! I guess the big one lost momentum when crashing through a couple barriers 🙂

cthulhu

Things were headed in that direction, until the tire demolished the end of the ski ramp. Even though the “color commentary” was in Japanese, you could tell they were having a difficult time with it because they were laughing so hard.

cthulhu

Japanese media is such a delight. It is amazing that we can be friendly and enjoy each others’ quirks when, after all, we nuked them. There are places in the Balkans where they maintain 1400-year-old feuds because someone’s cousin killed someone’s uncle’s liege lord by knocking his donkey off a cliff.

And it’s not like I can say it’s because we’re both practical people. I mean……

Valerie Curren

which of course reminds me of this 😉

ROBERT BAKER

This definitely confirms that the Japanese psyche is more than 3 standard deviations from the mean of the bell curve. I am not a monster truck fan but I would buy a ticket to see the tire ski jump in the Olympics.

RAC

Am re-posting this please pay attention from 4:08 till 9:10, corrupt globo bastard smith has form.

pgroup2

It is disgusting.

Cuppa Covfefe

That is absolutely jaw-dropping.

Jack-$#!t Smith is the most unscrupulous slimeball to walk the planet since the likes of Idi Amin or LBJ or Pol Pot. And that’s what they needed to go after VSGPDJT. Someone for whom the truth has no value; only ideology, and the preservation of Satanic practices and profits. Gotta get that young blood… either as soldiers, refugees, or abortions…

Valerie Curren

unflippingbelievable 😡

Valerie Curren

Dear Q-Tree Friends,

I would appreciate your prayers for me today. I plan on attending a job fair where there are supposed to be instantaneous interviews with potentially multiple prospective employers. I’ve been out of the (paid) workforce for a few years, & frankly almost the entirety of my parenthood season. Since things have “stabilized” on the Homefront it seems like time to consider some workforce reentry.

I really desire the Lord’s protection, guidance, & leading along with open & closed doors, throughout this process. If nothing else I hope to score a few interviews & get some practice in that activity 🙂

So many of you have prayed for me &/or my family over the years & I so appreciate that support & encouragement. Thank you & God Bless You All!

cthulhu

You have prayers for immediate success, but we’ll also stand-by to assist in preparation.

What sort of gig are you interviewing for?

Valerie Curren

Honestly it’s currently nothing specific, though likely aiming at just PT options. It’s been a while & I don’t want to bite off more than I can chew, at least to start out.

I guess we’ll see what the options are at the job fair & try to speak with the ones that make the most sense.

I printed off 20 resumes last night, just in case…

With Hubby’s current work schedule, getting up at 3am, leaving at 3:30am & starting work at 4:30am, my sleep “schedule” is Literally all over the place. I could conceivably be “comfortable” on days, evenings, or even nights…but I don’t want to get into a situation where Michael & I barely see each other. On his OT days sometimes he’s only got a window of a couple hours before he’s gotta get to bed, & sometimes he’s so exhausted he even naps during part of that time.

cthulhu

Given that you’re not focused on a particular deal, I’m not sure you’ll be able to do a firm close on anything. Collect business cards and talk to people, and let us know what you find out tomorrow.

Valerie Curren

I agree, & I really was thinking of it more like an opportunity to take a mini-refresher on the job search process in general. It was something I saw on a community bulletin board last week so it hasn’t been on my radar very long.

I’ll probably be the Only person in the building who won’t be eyes glued to a cell phone, seeing as I don’t have one. I’d say that would make me stand out but since few people even look up from devices that’s probably unlikely too.

I just hope I don’t get too beat up by the process. I’ve lived in pretty significant degrees of isolation for quite a while & am even more introverted now than I used to be so that having to head out into social situations can be off-putting.

It could be interesting, so we’ll see. I’ll try to provide some type of update when I get the chance, it will really depend on how depleted the process will leave me…

Thanks for sharing your thoughts & insights 😊

My most successful interviewing technique (as an employer) was to spend 1/3 my time talking about the company and the position that we needed to fill. Then I spent another 1/3 drilling down on the resume and getting to know about the qualifications. Finally, I spent the last 1/3 talking about how those qualifications (often shorn of a bunch of BS) would fit into what we needed. Since that last 1/3 was collaborative, applicants could do well for themselves by being inventive.

Valerie Curren

TYVM

Did you enjoy the process from that side of the table?

My dad was talking Up North about his Ford days & how when they had a position to fill they had 1,000 applicants & his boss wanted 3 people from the team to go through all of the resumes each & come up w/ 3 or 5 people to interview. Then they interviewed the 3 people that were most agreed upon by the team. In a specific hiring situation they chose someone with a military background because he was willing to do anything to get the job done even though a couple people (on paper) appeared more viable.

I’ve never sat on that other side of the table so have no experience with a “boss’s eye view”…

cthulhu

Hiring sucks. It’s almost as bad as being short-handed.

Valerie Curren

LOL, better to do things yourself & see it done right than deal with some idiot off the street that might talk a good game but is likely full of crap!

Gail Combs

AND you end up having, not only to do it yourself anyway, but to clean up the idiot’s mess to boot.

Valerie Curren

100%

kalbokalbs

Hiring the wrong person IS worse,

than being short-handed.

Barb Meier

I agree. Hiring is hard.

cthulhu

This, by the way, can help you reassure hiring managers that have no clue as to how to interview (which is surprisingly common).

Ask them to tell you all about the company and the job. Go over your resume, stressing the good parts and glossing the weaker bits. Spend the last bit of time talking about how your qualifications (off your resume) will solve their problems.

Valerie Curren

That would be funny if I end up spending more time putting them at ease, using my “counseling skills” LOL.

I just hope that the interviewers are older than my kids or that’s going to be a rather strange experience.

Valerie Curren

Years ago I went through the then current What Color is Your Parachute book. I think there was a section focused on “transferable skills” & that is more where I have placed my emphasis in the current iteration of my resume, having not been an employee very much over the last 3 decades…

Well I’m going to try to catch a little sleep before my day “begins” in earnest.

Blessings!

Aubergine

If I could give you only one piece of advice, it would be to look everyone straight in the eyes and give them a big smile. I, too, can be very introverted, but I stand out with this philosophy.

Smiles are free, and people enjoy cheerful people.

TheseTruths

This is excellent advice.

cthulhu

Sunday and Monday, my right shoulder ached like I’d dorked it somehow (I don’t remember a specific incident). On Monday, I tried to be easy with it and figured a good sleep should take care of things.

Tuesday morning, the pain woke me up early and I couldn’t get back to sleep, despite mainly sleeping on my left side.

If this were the front of my shoulder, I might suspect I’d cracked my collarbone, but this is around back. I can barely reach high enough to turn the key to start my car. Moving my elbow away from my body is painful.

I’m hoping that Wednesday morning will be better.

Valerie Curren

Yikes, Cthulhu, that’s a bummer. Hope you feel better ASAP.

cthulhu

It is a significant annoyance, and painful. But it’s not quite a bummer yet.

Valerie Curren

Alternating hot & cold on the affected area? Pain meds? Michael likes Ibuprophen for muscle pain though one of his trucking co-workers suggested Aleve & he tried it & likes it pretty well now. He’s also an Excedrin Migraine guy w/ headaches.

I rarely take pain meds & mostly try to tough it out. Same with fevers, unless they get out of hand–I hit 104.5 a few years back & was so miserable, plus that’s getting into dangerous territory, so I took stuff–for I think that God designed fevers as a way to kill off the bad bugs & I want that process to happen even though w/out meds it’s much more miserable…

cthulhu

I tried to do some hot/cold in the shower, but it’s in a weird place. It’s like someone tried to do a joking punch in the arm, but missed and hit about two inches further back.

Since Tuesday morning, I’ve been doing ibuprofen for pain meds. As you probably know from my repeated protestations, aspirin will break a fever for me but won’t touch pain; ibuprofen will reduce inflammation and relieve pain, and I consider acetaminophen to be toxic sludge that should be banned. I don’t have much experience with Aleve (naproxen) because ibuprofen works well with me.

It’s very position-dependent, so I keep thinking it should heal when not triggered. Getting worse on Tuesday morning was an unpleasant surprise.

Valerie Curren

I’ve had an intermittent shoulder issue for like 20 years after tripping over a baby gate at the bottom of our stairs & spraining my ankle & falling awkwardly on my right shoulder (to protect the wet towel on my head from hitting the floor if you can believe it). Nowadays that arm still bugs me at times when attempting to sleep. Using extra pillows to prop my arm, my back, my stomach, & even between the knees (done that since pregnancy 30 years ago) it’s possilbe to Eventually get into a position that relieves most of the discomfort. Sometimes it requires sleeping on the couch to get that extra back support.

Basically, do what you need to do to get as comfortable as you can, & playing enjoyable music can help you relax too…

pgroup2

Chiropractor time.

kalbokalbs

TB has excellent insights on selection. IIRC.

Gail Combs

Hot and cold alternating generally work because it brings blood (healing) to the area with the heat and then pushs the toxins away with the cold.

Most injuries are a LOT worse the second day, esp if you did not ice the injury the first day.

Check for bruises or have someone check for bruises. Also try immobilizing the arm for a day or two. More to keep you from trying to use it than anything else.

Valerie has some good ideas too.

Valerie Curren

Thanks for expanding on why alternating hot & cold is an effective approach! Tag team 🙂

Gail Combs

That’s us!!!

It is why the QTree is such a great place.

Valerie Curren

Amen! 🙂

Barb Meier

Years ago, I learned that any of our muscles can cramp and it’s really painful. Unlike the base of one’s foot, you can’t push down on the front of many locations like we can push down on the front of our feet to make a muscle relax. I found a clinical masseuse who worked in a hospital at a local salon in STL. She could feel the knots in my leg muscle that hurt and taught me to line up my thumbs on top of the muscle. Press down hard and push the thumbs apart. She said sometimes muscles ‘forget’ how to let go. Perhaps it is something like that. Stress can also cause aches and pains. We should blame OBiden. I hope whatever is causing you back pain gets better soon.

Heating pad and Emu. Trust me!

cthulhu

Assuming I could even find an emu at this hour, I’m seriously dubious about the reaction from the fiancee from bringing it into the house.

Valerie Curren

possibly referring to “blue emu”, I think, some type of product to rub on the problem area…

Valerie Curren

My parents periodically mention how getting older isn’t for wimps, & my husband & I are inclined to agree!

Soaking in a warm/hot bath w/ Epsom salts could also help as could some of those topical things like Ben-Gay or Melaleuca Oil, iirc…

cthulhu

When I build my home spa in NC, these will absolutely be options.

Valerie Curren

Well, you gotta get there first 🙂

kalbokalbs

Watching Cooth transition to NC, is like watching a NASA launch.

NASA talking head…

  • We are in a scheduled, “hold”
  • Uh, minor glitch, unscheduled “hold”
  • On a positive note, move has not been scrubbed.

Same scenario playing out elsewhere. 🙃

kalbokalbs

Oh, I 100% believe Cooth is serious, about moving to NC.

Many, many, intricate, financial and personal details for Cooth to align.

  • A tangled web of sorts. Some shared. Many not, I am sure.

If nothing else, shipping numerous Pak-Rat containers many, many months ago, IS telling. Shipping the containers is pricey enough. I’m guessing and NONE of my business, storage for full containers, month after month, can be pricey.

As screwed up as my executing a move from NV is, Cooth’s situation appears a much lmore complex challenge. Smart guy he is. He’ll get it done.

Valerie Curren

Valerie Curren

LOL perhaps “Cooth” plays a rocket scientist on TV 😉

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Yeah, but rocket science isn’t rocket science.

Valerie Curren

That’s for durn shure 😉

cthulhu

I avoid TV.

Being an accountant, I’m more likely to tell you how much a rocket costs than how it works.

“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore…”

Revelation 1:18 (KJV)

Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered !!!

duchess01

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

anyone ever heard of the Global Methane Hub? who voted for this?
FTA
We are now being told that producing food is bad for the planet. To “save” the planet, globalists insist, farms must be shut down across the globe.Under the guise of reducing “methane emissions,” thirteen nations have signed a pledge to engineer global famine by gutting agricultural production and shutting down farms. Announced earlier this year by the Global Methane Hub — a cabal of crisis engineers who exploit public panic to destroy the world food supply — those thirteen nations are:
Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Chile, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Germany, Panama, Peru, Spain, the United States, and Uruguay.
Imagine no meat production from Australia, Brazil and the USA. This is the goal of the globalists. And they admit it’s all part of the climate fraud which has been thoroughly exposed as a quack science hoax, by the way. As Luis Planas, Spain’s Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food says, “I am glad to see the shared commitment by the international community to mitigate methane emissions from agriculture as a means to achieve the goals we signed for in the Paris Agreement on climate.”
“Food systems are responsible for 60% of methane emissions,” warns Marcelo Mena, CEO of the Global Methane Hub. She is saying that farming is destroying the planet. Hence, their demand to shut down farms. Without farms, you have no food. And without food, you get exactly what Kamala Harris called for over the weekend: “Reduced population.”
The depopulation agenda is no longer even a secret. They are bragging about it.

Something like this? [just kidding!] 😀

A blonde, wanting to earn some money, decided to hire herself out as a handy-woman and started canvassing a nearby well-to-do neighborhood.

She went to the front door of the first house, and asked the owner if he had any odd jobs for her to do.

“Well, you can paint my porch,” he said, “How much will you charge me?”

The blonde, after looking about, responded, “How about $50.00 ?”

The man agreed and told her that the paint and other materials that she might need were out in the garage.

The man’s wife, inside the house, heard the conversation and said to her husband, “Does she realize that the porch goes all the way around the house?”

A short time later, the blonde came to the front door to collect her
money.

“You’re finished already?” the husband asked.

“Yes,” the blonde replied, “and I had paint left over, so I gave it two coats.”

Impressed, the man reached into his pocket for the $50.00 and handed it to her.

“And by the way,” the blonde added, “it’s not a Porch, it’s a BMW.”

Termites, or more specifically the North American version or Coptotermes lacteus, produce an estimated 150 million tons of methane annually.

The estimated number of termites per acre varies, depending on the vegetation. In a temperate area, there are about 2.43 million per acre, while in tropical moist forest, there can around 18 million per acre. The estimate for 5000 acres of cultivated land is 57 billion. That’s a lot of termites…

Plus I do not see what their problem is…
Methane emissions: don’t blame cows and camels, blame the oceans(Jo Nova)

…The annual changes in direct atmospheric methane measurements from 1986 to 2018 are shown in Figure 1 along with 12 year smoothed ice core data from 1900 to 1991. These measurements are from the CSIRO at Cape Grim and ice cores at the Law Dome in Antarctica…

And to think that the CO² measurements driving the Gore-Bull warming madness are done at the top of Mauna Kea, which has been known to spew a bit of CO² itself…….

Gail Combs

BY a method (IR) I KNOW from first hand experience is of less use than tits on a bull. IR is great for IDing an organic compound but absolutely USELESS for quantifying the amount. This is why “…large portions of raw data were rejected, leaving just a small fraction of the raw data subjected to averaging techniques…”

In other words you have a wildly inaccurate method giving a wide range of test results that are then pick over for ‘values’ that best fit the narrative.

Carbon cycle modelling and the residence time of natural and anthropogenic atmospheric CO2: on the construction of the “Greenhouse Effect Global Warming” dogma.

Tom V. Segalstad
Mineralogical-Geological Museum

http://www.co2web.info/ESEF3VO2.htm

…During the same period atmospheric CO2 measurements were started near the top of the strongly CO2-emitting (e.g., Ryan, 1995) Hawaiian Mauna Loa volcano. The reason for the choice of location was that it should be far away from CO2-emitting industrial areas. At the Mauna Loa Observatory 👉the measurements were taken with a new infra-red (IR) absorbing instrumental method, 👉never validated versus the accurate wet chemical techniques. Critique has also been directed to the analytical methodology and sampling error problems (Jaworowski et al., 1992 a; and Segalstad, 1996, for further references), and the fact that the results of the measurements were “edited” (Bacastow et al., 1985); large portions of raw data were rejected, leaving just a small fraction of the raw data subjected to averaging techniques (Pales & Keeling, 1965)….

I identify those “Migrants” as an INVADING ARMY.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

This actually happened in Russia immediately after the civil war subsequent to the Bolshevik coup. So many people moved into Petrograd/Leningrad that there was a housing crunch; of course nothing was being built in a purely socialist economy. Houses got subdivided to the point where entire families were living in one room of their (former) house and the bathroom was shared with families living in the other rooms.

Cuppa Covfefe

The Greens and SPD already want to do it in Berlin, and apartments that have been standing empty they want to TAKE AWAY from the OWNERS (it’s called Enteignung) to house refauxgees!

No country can save another country (or countries) from being a dump. Only the country itself can do something. The refauxgees coming here from MEA (Middle East and Africa) are creating slums and no-go zones just like they had in the “old country”. Why, then, do they come here?

(Of course, the bleeding heart idjiots like Faeser and Merde-Kuh give them all sorts of freebies). But, as the Gumball Lecture shows, the only way to fix this mess is for the best and the brightest of those countries to bloom where they’re planted, and “bootstrap” the culture and people as best they can.

TheseTruths

Time for the people of Massachusetts to take a stand. Do not comply, and tell them why and ask them to go first. That includes everyone on Cape Cod, too.

I don’t know if the Third Amendment would apply since it is about quartering soldiers, but even if it doesn’t, you can’t impose on a person’s domicile.

Third Amendment
No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

Epilepsy and several of its related complications are listed on the “Appendix 1. List of Adverse Events of Special Interest” in the Pfizer-BioNTech document, 5.3.6 Cumulative Analysis for BNT162b2, which the company gave to the FDA in April, 2021.

Yours Truly: Ed Dowd strikes again — this time, with data showing that claims for medical payouts for people with hematological (blood-related) conditions in England has skyrocketed above 522%. IMO, this increase is due to the negative cardiovascular effects of the COVID-19 “vaccines.” According to the BBC, almost 92% of all people over age 12 in the United Kingdom have had at least one shot of a COVID-19 “vaccine.”

Yeah, sadly many aren’t faking it, they’re actually deluded.

There was a time not too long ago when we assumed anyone making a tranny claim was a pervert who really just wanted to get into the women’s restroom. (The Left couldn’t understand this was our concern–that the tranny was faking–so they simply condemned us as intolerant.)

Now we’re realizing very little of it is fakery. So I guess the Left was right on this one micro-point, but I guess they need to be right about some things, some times, or they’d eat poison thinking it was nutritious.

At least now we can get to arguing over whether this is delusional, and both sides will actually be addressing the same point.

phoenixrising

Glad you addressed this … it exists in more than a few families today that I know! A friend’s son married and his bride was the youngest of three … two brothers and her. About 2/3 years ago her younger brother declared he wished to be known as a female (about 32 y/o at the time) … different name, etc. Her Mom nearly had a nervous break-down. How does one acknowledge a child who claims his prior existence is dead? OTOH, the sister, a decade younger, readily accepted her “sister” …

My friend, the Mom … is in mourning.

Just one example… I know of other similar situations.

There’s also the various flavors of DSG automatics, up to 12 speeds now (though I think VW is having second thoughts about that)… I have a six-speed DSG on my Touran (OK low end, but it was high-end when it came out in 2008) and it’s as smooth as silk… not as fun as a stick, but it would be hard to match the 0-100 (0-60) times with a manual…

The other kinds of trannies can go get, erm, maintained at AAMCO… or MIDAS Muffler…

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Is that the same as a Dual Clutch Transmission? Yes, they are nice. And if the car has paddles it can be almost like a manual.

Cuppa Covfefe

Yep. You could say they put the double clutch inside the gearbox, so you don’t have to 🙂

The even gears and the odd gears have their own shaft, so the transmission is always ready with the next gear. That’s what makes it a smoother mover…

Oddly enough, a loooooonnggggg time ago we had a Renault Dauphine, a three-speed stick, and some of the marketing blurb we got along with the manuals spoke of their electric gear shift which seemed to be along these lines (but being French tech…….). That Renault, even with a stick, had a lot of personality (but not a lot of power…)….

The only hazard is sometimes the transmission guesses wrong as to whether you will be wanting to shift up or down, then it takes more time.

The Acura ILX (the distant descendant of the Integra) had a DCT. The revived Integra has a CVT (unless you get the high end model and take the manual transmission).

What I can’t wrap my brain around is why a CVT would need paddles.

WHY NATO WAS OBSESSED WITH UKRAINE AND IS NOW IN A PANIC
18 July 2023 by Larry Johnson

To answer the question in my title you need only look at two numbers — 1) Ukraine’s rank in terms of natural resources and 2) the size of Ukraine’s Army in February 2022. Since the end of World War II the West has viewed Ukraine as a critical piece on the global chess board for attacking and defeating Russia. The joint CIA/MI-6 effort to destabilize the Soviet Union, which started in 1947 with the provision of funds, weapons and training to Stefan Bandera’s organization, was crushed by the Soviets by 1952. It was shortly after that, following the death of Stalin in 1953, that Khrushchev gifted Crimea to Ukraine (1954). Was it a reward for Ukrainian assistance in wiping out the CIA-backed OUN uprising?
How is it that on the eve of the Russian Special Military Operation in February 2022 that Ukraine was the poorest country in Europe but was ranked number four in the world in terms of natural resources?

Just come out with it already, Patrick! IMO, statements like these start to look like attention-getting measures.

What does anyone expect Jack Smith to do as a result of this? Drop charges against Trump, when the entire Leftist cabal is counting on Smith and his charges as part of their plan to take him down? I think the Left would turn their backs on Smith and let him be destroyed. If there is really something on Smith, he’s in a tough spot.

The head of the British MI-6, Richard Moore, called on the Russians to cooperate with the intelligence service and put an end to the “bloodshed”. According to him, Russia has little chance of restoring its position in Ukraine. “I invite them to do what others have done over the past 18 months and join us. Our door is always open. Their secrets will be safe.”

If Russia had “little chance” of regaining ground, you, Richard Moore, would not have made such a fuss.

As for “open doors and keeping secrets”, you might have been believed if you had presented the Skripals. Usually those who believed and trusted you, you destroy in the first place.

▫️ Accordingly, the countries of such vessels will be considered to be involved in the Ukrainian conflict on the side of the Kiev regime.

▫️ In addition, a number of sea areas in the north-western and south-eastern parts of the international waters of the Black Sea have been declared temporarily dangerous for navigation. OH MY! Disorder Breaks Out as Marjorie Taylor Greene Holds Up Sexually Explicit Photos of Hunter Biden During IRS Whistleblower Hearing (VIDEO)

MTG brought the receipts showcasing Hunter Biden’s criminal behavior with prostitutes, possibly involving him in human trafficking violations.

The Democrats shouted at Marjorie Taylor Greene as she held up the photos.

Marjorie Taylor Greene said Hunter Biden paid for a plane ticket for a woman, likely for sex, potentially violating the MANN ACT.

One of the Dems said, “Should we be displaying this…?” I think there was some rule about it, but the chairman said the photo had been public for years, and allowed it.

MTG:

Here is proof Hunter Biden paid prostitutes through his law firm, OWASCO PC, and trafficked his victims across state lines in violation of the Mann Act.

Not only that, IRS whistleblowers confirm Hunter Biden committed tax fraud by deducting payments to prostitutes from OWASCO’s taxes.

They had the same “cash for clunkers” scam here in Germany, and there are still ads begging for cars, running or not, to be sold and shipped to MEA…

We almost took up a cash-for-clunkers bid from VW themselves (a factory car with maybe 10 miles on it) but it wasn’t really the one we wanted. Might not have been a bad idea, though… get a(n almost) brand-new car for basically 50 percent off, €2500 cash for the clunker, and the “satisfaction” of having done a good deed…. then the thought came that our old “rote flitzer” might end up as a car bomb somewhere in the middle east…

A year later we got a great (again, factory) deal on a VW Golf VI Plus, and it’s been a great car. The “rote flitzer” didn’t go the way of C for C’s, but it didn’t meet mr. crusher, either… or Mr. MoHo…

Gail Combs

I am still driving my ‘clunkers’ I LIKE not having a COMPUTER in my vehicle with an idiot light and an idiot computer that tells you to fix this and then this and then that and you STILL can not pass inspection.

A friend is going thru that hell with her VW right now that has been stuck up on a lift as it spams out code after code after code…

Cuppa Covfefe

Have you read Chiefio’s tale of woe with his mercedes SUV that was to be his tow vehicle for moving stuff from Kalifornistan to Florida? Seems it had multiple brains (like some old dinosaurs) that were equally dumb… and sensitive to water incursion, etc.

I might get an OBDII interface (and software) for an old laptop we’ve got here so I can read and reprogram our cars (both over 10 years old, so wayyyy out of warranty). The newer ones are almost impossible to deal with, as with everything you change (e.g. from regular to LED indicator bulbs or vice-versa), you have to tell at least one, if not more, of the onboard control units what’s going on… Criminy, they should be able to figure that out themselves…

The old cars, in particular pre-electronic ignition, were much easier to deal with. And the older diesels as well (my wife’s nephew had an ancient Mercedes running on used vegetable oil – smelled like French Fries every time he drove by) would run on almost everything (which is how Rudolf Diesel intended)….

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Unfortunately the fancy German cars are, from a reliability standard, now absolute crap after 100,000 miles and not so good before. And very expensive to fix.

Cuppa Covfefe

I had a 1995 VW Passat VR6 Wagon that went 200K miles, then further still after we gave it to a friend of the family, who put a trailer hitch on it and went over the Alps a couple of times with it… fortunately the timing chain waited to fail until he was at a shopping center one day 😮 He sold that to a fellow in Holland who repaired it and who knows, it might still be going. Was a great car, but it had reached the point where repairs were getting too expensive and too frequent.

Kind of crazy, that was a very well-traveled car. From Emden to Kalifornistan and 100K miles, back to Germany and another 100K, and off to Holland, for who knows how many more… many trips to IKEA, garden and building supply stores, etc. Maybe the fact that I often used it like a truck made it last longer… and that car could fly down the Autobahn… (and I-5 when no-one was looking 🙂 )….

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Some of the newer units will at least give you all the codes at once.

Which is something at least.

Posts reveal little to nothing about IRS whistleblower testimony today.

Saw the MTG thing / TW.

Guessing it was a bust. (One the road most of the day.) Heading out to look around.

TheseTruths

I watched part of it. I think the information is highly significant, and that’s where we are at the moment:TONS of huge information on a lot of fronts, and things need to be done.

In the hearing, the Dems were highly defensive and several didn’t address the subject at hand. They tried to highlight “similar” offenses on the Repub side, or supposed hypocritical concern by Repubs. One of them didn’t even ask the witnesses any questions but just droned on for five minutes.

Bumbling Democrat Dan Goldman Brings in Witness Testimony at IRS Hearing that Joe Biden and Hunter Talked About Foreign Business Deals, Contradicting Joe’s Denials

YIKES: Rep. Dan Goldman was trying to prove that Joe Biden was not implicated in the IRS Whistleblowers’ allegations, but instead accidentally showed that Joe Biden did discuss foreign business dealings with his son Hunter. pic.twitter.com/6nyEhfm36G

— Townhall.com (@townhallcom) July 19, 2023

Liberal law professor Jonathan Turley caught Goldman’s error trying to defend the Bidens, “Rep. Goldman just tripped the wire on Joe Biden. In trying to grill the whistleblowers to show that there is no evidence that Joe Biden was involved, he elicited an answer that the witnesses established that Joe Biden did discuss business deals of Hunter with the Chinese……Goldman was trying to show that the witnesses did not mention a substantive role of Joe Biden, Shapley immediately noted that it did mean that he came to discuss one of the Hunter’s deals. The President continues to deny that fact……Goldman prompted a sworn statement from the investigator that Biden did indeed discuss his son’s business deals. In doing so, Goldman may have delivered one of the most damaging moments in the hearing for the Bidens…Unfortunately, time ran out. With a few more minutes along this line, Goldman could well have sealed the case for the appointment of a Special Counsel.”

kalbokalbs

Thanks.

Goldman’s blunder was a gift of sorts.

Did see several reports from the hearings. All good information to get out in the open.

Hopefully the hearing will result in ACTION.

Odessa.

Couple brief videos at the link worth a look.

FTA

The targets were the infrastructure of the ports of Odessa and the region, industrial zones adjacent to it, military airfield and oil depot on the railway station.

“The mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, announced the largest attack on the city since the beginning of the special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine

‘One of the worst nights… We don’t remember this scale of attack since the start of a full-scale invasion’, he said.”

Russian Defense Ministry:

“Tonight the Russian Federation Armed Forces carried out a group strike with sea- and air-based precision weapons against military industry facilities, fuel infrastructure and ammunition depots of the Ukrainian military in Odessa vicinity, as well as against the Kanatovo air base of the Ukrainian Air Force in the Kirovograd region.”

“Regarding the strikes on Odessa and elsewhere: It bears mentioning that these are not yet the ‘strikes of retribution’.

All these—admittedly massive—strikes were planned in advance. Nothing of this magnitude happens as a knee-jerk reaction to a terrorist act. As always, targets must be ascertained, verified, confirmed. The amount of planning that goes into these types of combined strikes is not done in a day.”

Russia has been long planning the exit from the ‘grain deal’ and how to do it.

“The destruction of the Ukrainian ports is an inevitable consequence of Russia’s decision to leave the ‘grain deal’ behind. Rather than try to police any ships with crews foolish enough to attempt docking in Ukraine, it’s best to simply make it impossible to dock in Ukraine.”
