Understanding the Dynamic of the Bolshevik Capital Versus The Nation and The People: The Tambov Rebellion

Header Photo – Alexander Antonov, Leader of the Tambov Rebellion, and his staff.

Even our movies from Hollywood communists lied to us about what happened, as they glorified and romanticized a catastrophe spawned from the depths of HELL.

There is a bit of history that our communist educators never taught us.

The INTERNATIONAL (i.e., “globalist”) BOLSHEVIKS used chemical weapons against the people of Russia.

Yeah. Your DEMOCRAT teachers never let you know about THAT one.

See this and many more amazing quotes at https://www.azquotes.com/author/13869-Aleksandr_Solzhenitsyn

I have GOVERNOR COMMIE BLACKFACE of Virgina to thank for this new knowledge. You see, because he has turned almost his entire state into a SECOND AMENDMENT SANCTUARY, people there are skittish. So when they saw that the UNITED NATIONS…..

….is now recruiting ENGLISH-SPEAKING DISARMAMENT WORKERS – well, they are not particularly trusting of the SNEAKY U.N. BOLSHEVIKS.

Why Is The UN Hiring English-Speaking Disarmament Officers In New York?

It’s an interesting read. I’m not convinced that the U.N. has discrete thoughts of disarming Virginians, but you never know. They were pretty sneaky luring us into bait wars in Asia during the 1950’s, when they were still rather freshly minted. Frankly, I don’t trust them, and I am ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that the EVIL DEMOCRATS will call on the U.N. for help if they pull off any kind of COUP. BANK ON IT.

There was an interesting comment on the article:

Internationally sponsored Bolsheviks did the same thing in Russia while consolidating their power.

Read up on the “Tambov Rebellion” that sent 50,000 civilians into a rebelious region of the USSR.

It culminated in over 300,000 dead in under a year including the rebellions leader Alexander Antonov.

Well, I’m always willing to “take a cue from Pikachu”, so I dug. What I found shocked me.

Tambov Rebellion

To describe it quite simply, the Bolshevik insanity of centralized government was killing Russia, and the people of Russia’s equivalent of the agrarian Midwest had quite enough of the insanity, so their version of Tulsi Gabbard (Antonov, apparently the only semi-sane one in the bunch) tried to lead a rebellion that ALMOST WORKED.

The problem was, there was NO DEPTH TO THE EVIL OF THE BOLSHEVIKS.

So they used TORTURE, MURDER, SUMMARY EXECUTIONS, CONCENTRATION CAMPS, and even CHEMICAL WEAPONS on the rebellious Russians.

YES – the Bolsheviks set up concentration camps – in 1921 – the year in which Hitler actually rose to the top of the fledgling Nazi Party. [As an aside, I hope you know that the Nazis got the idea of mobile execution from the Bolsheviks, who used truck exhaust to kill prisoners and save bullets.]

THIS is the crucial part to read:

The seriousness of the uprising caused the establishment of the “Plenipotentiary Commission of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of the Bolshevik Party for the Liquidation of Banditry in the Gubernia of Tambov”. With the end of the Polish–Soviet War (in March 1921) and the defeat of General Wrangel in 1920, the Red Army could divert its regular troops into the area – deploying in total over 100,000 Red Army soldiers, alongside special Cheka detachments. [10]The Red Army, under the command of Mikhail Tukhachevsky, used heavy artillery and armoured trains and also engaged in the summary execution of civilians. Tukhachevsky and Vladimir Antonov-Ovseyenko signed an order, dated 12 June 1921, which stipulated:

“The forests where the bandits are hiding are to be cleared by the use of poison gas. This must be carefully calculated, so that the layer of gas penetrates the forests and kills everyone hiding there.” [10]

The Bolshevik forces used chemical weapons “from end of June 1921 until apparently the fall of 1921”, by direct order from the leadership of Red Army and from the Communist Party. [13] Publications in local Communist newspapers openly glorified liquidations of “bandits” with the poison gas. [13]Seven concentration camps were set up. At least 50,000 people were interned, mostly women, children, and the elderly – some of them sent to the camps as hostages. Each month 15 to 20 percent of inmates in the camps died. [10]The Bolsheviks gradually quelled the uprising in the course of 1921. Antonov was killed in 1922 during an attempt to arrest him. Sennikov estimated the total losses among the population of Tambov region in 1920 to 1922 resulting from the war, executions, and imprisonment in concentration camps as approximately 240,000. [8]

You will find many links to additional information in these links. This is all covered in that famous “Black Book of Communism” as well.

One of the most interesting parts is how the Soviets tried to hide this information. As would be expected by anybody who lived during that time.

Recovery of documents

Some documents relating to the rebellion were found by the local ethnographer Boris Sennikov in 1982 while he was engaged in clearing sand from the altar of the Winter Church of the Kazan monastery.[17] During the 1920s, the monastery had been requisitioned for use as the local Cheka headquarters and the church had served as the archive of the Tambov Military Commissariat.

In 1933, the local government decided to burn documents that could compromise the Soviet regime. However, during the process, the fire grew out of control and had to be extinguished by water and, crucially, sand. All documents in the archive were believed to be destroyed; as the church altar was not used by the archive, the surviving documents, covered by a layer of sand, had never been found. In 1982, the local archive changed its address and the church became abandoned; when Sennikov found the documents, the Tambov department of KGB opened a criminal case against him. Later, the case was closed, but Sennikov lost his job.

In 2004, the publishing house Posev published the Sennikov archive as part of The Tambov Rebellion and the Liquidation of Russian Peasantry[1] along with documents relating to the Governorate Military Commissariat (including those dealing with Konstantin Mamontov‘s 1919 anti-Bolshevik raid, and those describing the Great Purge of the 1920–30s). The documents also included Red Army orders issued during the rebellion, correspondence, reports of the use of chemical weapons against the peasant rebels, and documents of the Union of the Working Peasants.

Now, it is absolutely necessary to point out that Sennikov is a RABID antisemite. I refuse to link directly to any of his crap. He basically accuses the entire Soviet leadership of being Jewish – even Lenin, who was raised Russian Orthodox, with a Russian (or Russo-Uralic ethnic) father, and his mother being from a Lutheran family but half-Jewish through her father, Lenin’s grandfather, a converted Christian. Was Lenin Jewish? All I can tell you for sure is that the NAZIS didn’t think so. To the Nazis, Lenin was a “Mischling of the Second Degree”. But to Sennikov, he was a “Jewish Bolshevik” like ALL the rest of them!

Whatever. Lenin went nuts when his father died during his teenage years, and here we are today. One personal tragedy, improperly resolved, led to BILLIONS of tragedies – or at least joined in their making. Sounds like a few other nasty dictators we know.

The other links I’ve given above are free of Sennikov’s toxic viewpoint, but basically say the same thing. Including the number of chemical shells used – over 300. Compare to Syria, although these were older technology. Nonetheless, chemical weapons use did NOT end with World War I.

Riot of the October Revolution, 1917

The critical point to understand from reading the links above, is that an urban globalist elite, driving a Bolshevik revolution from the capital and largest cities of Russia, eventually had to quell opposition in the sensible, food-producing hinterlands. Their utter mismanagement created the very crisis conditions that led to rebellion.

If you look at the pictures of the Tambov Rebellion and the famine surrounding it, you will be shocked, and you should be. THAT is the price of SOCIALISM – COMMUNISM – WHATEVER.

We are seeing a REPLAY of the origins of these historical conditions. Not exact, but spooky enough to give me much pause.

And yet – because we have held onto our BIBLES AND OUR GUNS – symbolic of the FIRST and SECOND AMENDMENTS – we are actually in a position to STOP THE INSANITY.

When I read James Comey talking about Donald Trump and his supporters – US – I can see the same UTTER DISDAIN FOR PEASANTS that the Soviet Bolsheviks had.

In 2020, I want to show the Soviet Democrat elite that not only are we NEVER, EVER AGAIN to be fucked with – they have seriously underestimated WHO WE ARE, WHAT WE STAND FOR, WHAT WE UNDERSTAND, and WHY THEY DO NOT DESERVE TO LEAD.

Think about it. Think about how we’re going to show these people that the false world they constructed to force socialism upon us, is headed to the TRASH HEAP with the rest of socialism.

Well, thank heavens the records were recovered.
Sand, eh?
I recall how the Euro Royalty was enamored by the Bolsheviks.
Afraid we might need to rewrite a great many history books from the last 100yrs.

Thank you Wolfie, great dig!

And not coincidentally, all the current sci-fi is in the dystopian genre.

Remember the early Science Fiction writer, H.G. Wells was a FABIAN SOCIALIST!!!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

He, at least thought that was a utopia.
I do remember when a lot of science fiction had positive, pro entrepreneurial messages, but that stuff is long gone now.
One that might resonate with many people here is “Fallen Angels,” the premise being that Earth is entering an ice age, the Greens are running rampant (there’s even a “Green Police”) and a couple of space stations were up, and their astronauts abandoned up there. They were forced to fend for themselves, and a couple of them crash landed on the North American icecap while trying to scoop nitrogen from the Earth’s atmosphere.
Sympathetic people on Earth (all science fiction fans) had to organize a rescue, and make sure they didn’t fall into the hands of the Greens…

Volumes. But it depends on the victors. And, these publishers who are laundering cash to give book deals to the cabal fellows cant be trusted to publish the real historical facts.
We need trustworthy bookmakers.

Yes. The penguin publishing ceo is retiring and part of the company is being split. But like food products, one brand of many is owned by a central Corp, and some brands arent all bad, just under a corporate thumb. Its a web!

Most excellent deep dive, boss.
😊🤓👍
When I was reflecting on the uniqueness of a year ‘Twenty-Twenty’…and thinking back to when a similar year was numbered with a repeating number like 2020…I realized it would have been ‘Nineteen-Nineteen’.
So I did a search on the year 1919, to see what happened that year.
And the standard Bolshevik stuff came up.
Kind of eerie that here we are, in another repeating-number-year…and we’ve got totalitarian tyrants trying the same bullshit that went on 100 years ago.
No wonder they are so desperate to confiscate our AR-15’s!

The new Reformation BEGINS with the end of Fake News. The Cabal realized early on, that control of information was the KEY.
MK and Monarch are the tip of the iceberg.
There’s also the gradual assault on our health that, has been taking place over the last half century. This along with the adulteration of the church hierarchy and political leadership, can only be secured if as in 1920’s Russia, the facts and truth are “buried.”
Hiding facts and truth and sowing confusion and consternation on a mass scale has been facilitated by them having co-opted the means of mass communication.
And here’s a headline from the senior Chicago “news” paper:
“Era of Recreational Pot Dawns in Illinois”
They must sedate the masses to succeed.

rayzorbak

New Reformation indeed….
The Fake news is losing control of the people just like the “church” did with Martin Luther.

I’d like to hear this new cover of a popular song in the warm-up for Trump Rallies. 20 / 20.

Gone are the fake lies

Aubergine

Thanks for the dig, Wolf. Awesome information.
As to your final thoughts, about how do we show our utter rejection of globalist socialism, I have been thinking about that, too.
One thing we do is this site. Citizen news as opposed to controlled media. We ARE fighting back, Flep and his daily truth, you and your deep dives, all the others here even in comments. Fighting back on social media to spread the truth is imperative.
The other thing we can do, and I an going to do it, is get concealed carry if you don’t have it already. Sign up and go to classes. This not only protects me and others around me, but the STATISTICS on this signal TPTB that Americans are not going quietly. Virginia is WOKE, and the bad guys know it. We should show them we ALL are onto their plots. Encourage your friends to just do it, too.
There was discussion the other day about some people not being “comfortable” with having a gun. Well, I have to admit, I’m not comfortable with them. But I’m not comfortable driving a car, either, because I’m always aware that I am in control of a huge projectile that might kill somebody if I fuck up. But I drive every day. I don’t think “comfortable” is a good place to be with guns, really. But skilled, able, and ready to use one? You bet.
Americans are different than any other people in the world. I once heard it described as “optimism,” and that is pretty close. As a group, Americans are optimists, and expect things to go our way. That is a powerful force, and has won many wars for our side. When pessimism crept in (socialists) we got Korea and Vietnam. And Afghanistan. But now we have Trump, who is the quintessential American optimist. So that is the other thing I think we can do to reject socialism, remain OPTIMISTIC, and support President Trump. Which means avoiding and shutting out the pessimists. And there are some powerful pessimistic voices on our side who used to be our allies. It’s a shame, but they’ve got to be ignored (looking at you, Sundance) and marginalized.
So that’s my two cents, for what it’s worth.

These are the front lines of information warfare, where telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act

From Interview on June 5, 2016 — This Week With George Stephanopoulos.
Stephanopoulos asked Hillary, “Do you believe an individual’s right to bear arms is a constitutional right? That it’s not linked to the service in the militia?”
Her answer:
“I think that for most of our history there was a nuanced reading of the Second Amendment, until the decision by the late Justice Scalia. And there was no argument until then that localities, and states, and the federal government had a right–as we do with every amendment–to impose reasonable regulations.”
She is also DEAD WRONG!
George Mason, the co-author of the 2nd Amendment during the Virginia Convention to ratify the Constitution, 1788 made it clear what the militia is.
“I ask Sir. what is a militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effective way to enslave them”.
But Hillary rather side with someone who is not a founder of our country if it means she can regulate and later CONFISCATE guns.
GUN BAN
“If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an out right ban, I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren’t here”
– Diane Feinstein
And as asked I am passing this along:
“List of 46 Senators who voted to repeal the 2nd Amendment via the UN Small Arms Treaty.
It looks like they are all Democrats or Independents.
Pass this to all you can, so they might be informed!”

It seems to me that any man that can be drafted into military service should necessarily have the right and reponsibility to bear arms, in terms of training, capability, and practicing their national duty to exercise responsible ownership. The draft is the pool of able bodied men who can be called to serve. Men who cannot bear arms are not much use. A “militia” is trained civilians, such as the Reserves or the National Guard, which can be augmented with the draft in the event of an emergency. Do they intent to abolish the draft as well? (I know the answer to that question – it’s rhetorical.) All this business of “militia” is just playing rhetorical footsie to confuse people that all able bodied men have a duty to be armed so they can serve their nation in the event of conflict.

Gail Combs

We now have Drivers ed in schools and it is pretty much mandatory. We should have something like ROTC as a REQUIRED COURSE for all males (without criminal records) & optional for females throughout high school.

michaelh

Lol nah, forget the criminal record requirement, the commies love to manipulate that garbage. Make it mandatory for them too. Will teach them some discipline 😉

Gail Combs

Yeah, sort of like Military School. President Trump was a Hellion and got sent off and a grade school friend who was very obnoxious also got sent to a Military Boarding School. Worked wonders. Straighten him right up.

michaelh

A better way to say this:
If a man can be drafted, he’s considered part of the militia for 2nd ammendment purposes.

michaelh

I’m not disagreeing, but I think it pretty well OBLITERATES the leftist talking point about “militia”. Frankly, every adult male over 18 that is registered with Selective Service as required by law is in fact, by definition, a card carrying member of the Federal militia.
Now of course there are laws about how SS is used and when people are released from draft and warfighting requirements. But NB: The SS does not expire! It is still present and a matter of record – still registered with SS. It is public information and can be easily verified online for employment. Your membership in the federal militia doesn’t expire.
That means the “every adult male” as a member of the federal militia is codified in LAW. There is NO weaseling out of that with some leftist “militia” mumbo-jumbo.
Further, the SS registration is required for government jobs. That means that every male leftist government worker might have an epic snowflake meltdown if they realized that they were actually registered members of the militia.
It also ties the 2nd to clear legal precedent. The leftists want to deny the existence of a militia or its necessity that underlies the 2nd amendment. But the fact is that legally the system does exist, and like it or not, all you leftist male snowflakes including Beto O’Rourke are members. That’s a VERY strong argument and not one I think any court could easily refuse. The left have backed themselves into a corner with the militia requirement of the 2nd amendment
You know those feminists that want to legalize the draft for women? Karma.
Remember why they said they wanted the voting age lowered to 18? Presumably so that young men who are drafted as soldiers could be allowed to vote? If young men are required to exercise their duty as citizens to serve in the military, they should have a right to vote. Well, if they have a duty to serve as called upon, then the 2nd amendment right also applies.
Imagine what would happen at one of these gun control town halls when the leftists on stage (“stage” because it’s a theatrical performance doncha know) make a strong argument that the 2nd only applies to “militia” and so there’s no reason for unlimited firearm access.
Then a man comes up to the mic, calmly reads the history of the Selective Service program (ala “Miracle of 34th Street”) and explains the law that every male age 18 or over is required by law to register. Show the legal connection between SS and militia. Then he holds up his draft card and says clearly “Every man who is registered with Selective Service is a card-carrying member of the Federal militia, and his responsibility and duty to our country to exercise his 2nd Amendment rights shall not be infringed.”
Boy howdy, that would be a bad day for the gun grabbers on stage. It’d go viral.
So this argument may not be “good enough” to meet a more expansive interpretation of rights but remember, it’s foundational to understanding the purpose of the 2nd Amendment and it’s interpretation, which is precisely where the left is attacking it from. They can’t simply get around the “right” by invoking the “militia” clause.

Gail Combs

Actually I tossed a screaming fit when my husband started Concealed carry classes. I DO NOT WANT TO BE ON ANYONE’S LIST PERIOD!!!
This article tells WHY:
Registration: The Nazi Paradigm
(American Rifleman, Vol.149 No.6, June 2001, page 52.)
By Stephen P. Halbrook, Ph.D., J.D.

New research into Adolf Hitler’s use of firearms registration lists to confiscate guns and the execution of their owners teaches a forceful lesson — one that reveals why the American people and Congress have rejected registering honest firearm owners.
It would be instructive at this time to recall why the American citizenry and Congress have historically opposed the registration of firearms. The reason is plain. Registration makes it easy for a tyrannical government to confiscate firearms and to make prey of its subjects. Denying this historical fact is no more justified than denying that the Holocaust occurred or that the Nazis murdered millions of unarmed people….

The cautionary tale of Alfred Flatow, Gold and Silver Olympic Medal Winner in gymnastics.
Flatow, a Jew, dutifully REGISTERED HIS GUN in January 1932, complying with the pre-Hitler anti-firearm decrees of the Weimar Republic. When ordered he turned in his fire arm AND WAS ARRESTED AND LATER SENT TO A CONCENTRATION CAMP. In December, the 73-year old Alfred Flatow died at the camp, of starvation.

…By fall of 1938, the Nazis were ratcheting up measures to expropriate the assets of Jews. To ensure that they had no means of resistance, the Jews were ordered to surrender their firearms.
Alfred Flatow walked into a Berlin police station to comply with the command and was arrested on the spot, as were other Jews standing in line. The arrest report confirmed that his pistols were duly registered, which was how the police knew he had them. While no law prohibited a Jew from owning guns, the report recited the Nazi mantra: “Jews in possession of weapons are a danger to the German people.” Despite his compliance, Flatow was turned over to the Gestapo….
In 1942, he was deported to the Theresienstadt concentration camp, where he starved to death.
What thoughts may have occurred to Flatow in his last days? Memories of the Olympics and of a better Germany may have flashed before his eyes. Did he have second thoughts on whether he should have registered his handguns in 1932? Or whether he should have obediently surrendered the guns at a Berlin police station in 1938 as ordered by Nazi decree? Did he fantasize shooting Nazis? It is difficult to imagine that he had no regrets….

Great points, Aubergine. I have noticed, at least on Twitter, that some of the trusted MAGA/Q people have taken a pessimistic turn…very similar to OT.

Wow. Just incredible. Will the crimes of Communism ever be completely exposed? I was well into adulthood before I learned of the Holodomor – the forced starvation, in the 1930s, of millions of Ukrainian peasant farmers who fought against the Communist collectivization of their farms. When I read your post about the Communists crushing the Tambov Rebellion, it all came together. Free men and women cannot be tolerated in a statist society. All rebellion must be crushed without mercy.
Wolf, it is so important to write and speak of these atrocities, and attribute them to the evils of Communism. I don’t even give Socialism a pass – it’s statism and leads to no good end. We must do everything we can to make sure this doesn’t happen again.
Teaching government and world history in our dinky school, my students learned of this. During one year, Jordan Peterson had just written his new forward to the 50th anniversary edition of Gulag Archipelago. There is a 45-minute youtube video where he reads his entire forward, which I showed the class (all three of them). That alone gives high schoolers a brief intro into one man’s experience with those evils.
Gulag Archipelago is required reading in Russian high schools. It should be here, too.
Thanks so much for continuing to educate us.

I thought I would add something to lighten the mood.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I read once, sometime before 1989, that the communists’ number one commandment was never to surrender any power.
If, for instance, someone invaded and forced you to the negotiating table, surrender territory, 90 percent of it if you have to, but retain absolute, total power over some territory. That gives you a base from which to begin expanding again.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Opposing the commies were my “cause” back in college. I loathed all the front groups, and fought like hell against the “Freeze” movement. Or anything else that could help the nuclear blackmail the Soviets dearly wished they could inflict on us.

Jordan Peterson has been so great educating this generation with that book. We all grew up with the USSR and Pravda and knowing people who had been or still were in the gulags. Our children’s generation did not and found Gulag Archipelago unbelievable and soul rocking because they heard nothing about it all through school.

In that case… 😁
I will take it you are already familiar with G.Edward Griffin and Congressman McFadden on the Federal Reserve and the connections to the Communists.
And that you have also read my commenton why I think Karl Marx was a puppet of the European Bankers and Aristocracy.
Here is more from my notes about the time coming after the Federal Reserve was foisted on the USA.
1. Harry Dexter White worked at the U.S. Treasury Department from 1934 to 1946. He was “the chief force behind the post-World War II Bretton Woods arrangements, which created the World Bank and the IMF. He was, therefore, a principal architect of the Cold War-era global capitalist economy. Most important, White was the highest-ranking American government official ever to have been reliably accused of being a Soviet spy.”
http://www.lawrence.edu/news/pubs/lt/summer05/hdwhite.shtml

Then, in 1996, as Craig writes in his recent book Treasonable Doubt, the public release of previously classified materials known as Venona — Soviet cables intercepted and eventually decrypted by U.S. counter-intelligence — “blew open the case, leaving little doubt of Harry Dexter White’s complicity in the Soviet underground.” Evidence from Venona is supported by limited information from KGB archives presented by the historian Allen Weinstein in collaboration with former KGB official Alexander Vasilliev in their book The Haunted Wood. Taken together, these new sources appear to confirm that White was involved with the Soviet underground in Washington from the mid-1930s until Chambers’ defection in 1938 and again during the Second World War. They thus corroborate Chambers’ and Bentley’s claims.

So the World Bank and IMF were the results of the work by a TRAITOR.
Do not forget his counterpart, John Maynard Keynes, was a closet Fabian.

The draft hands effective control of climate change finance to the World Bank; would abandon the Kyoto protocol – the only legally binding treaty that the world has on emissions reductions; and would make any money to help poor countries adapt to climate change dependent on them taking a range of actions.

This sounds a lot like the World Bank/IMF much hated Structural Adjustment Programmes (SAPs)
Please note this is the end result of the bankruptcy of any country. The World bank/IMF moves in and take control of a country’s economic policies. This is the direction our politicians are driving the EU, USA and Australia towards. (Is U.S. already ‘bankrupt’?) The word traitor again comes to mind.

Structural Adjustment Programmes
…. the immediate effect of a SAP is generally to hike prices up three or four times, increasing poverty to such an extent that riots are a frequent result.
The term “Structural Adjustment Program” has gained such a negative connotation that the World Bank and IMF launched a new initiative, the Poverty Reduction Strategy Initiative, and makes countries develop Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers (PRSP). While the name has changed, with PRSPs, the World Bank is still forcing countries to adopt the same types of policies as SAPs.
For more information on SAPs, read SAPRIN’s report, “The Policy Roots of Economic Crisis and Poverty”, a four-year, multi- country participatory investigation into the effects of specific structural adjustment policies on a broad range of economic and social sectors and population groups….
In the dozens of countries where the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank have imposed structural adjustment programs (SAPs), the people who have seen deterioration in their standards of living, reduced access to public services, devastated environments, and plummeting employment prospects have not been passive. The pages of newspapers, magazines, and academic journals (those that can survive in depressed economies) been filled with damning analysis of structural adjustment. More important, people have been organizing to combat the pillaging of their lands and livelihoods. This organizing has resulted in mass movements and protests on every continent, but they are not often reported on in the mainstream press.
The following selection of notable struggles in the last 20 years of fighting structural adjustment follows was culled largely from the work of George Caffentzis and Silvia Federici of the Committee for Academic Freedom in Africa (CAFA) and by 50 Years Is Enough in Washington, DC.

The World Bank and Economic Growth: 50 Years of Failure: The data show that most long-term recipients of World Bank money are no better off today then they were when they received their first loan. Many are actually worse off. And based on this track record we are going to hand them the control of the carbon funds???

#4. IPCC is left out of the current talks and a World Bank report is used instead. See WUWT
#5 yet as the World Bank is clubing politicians at DOHA over the head with a 4-5C castrophic warming they have INCREASED loans for Coal plant construction from 100 Million in 2050 to $4270 million in 2010! The US finances these loans at between 12% and 20% Between FY 1993 & 1995, the U.S. contributed an average of $1.2 billion/year to the World Bank.
#6 And just in case you wondered about what would happen to all that US coal, Just like in Australia, Coal’s not dying — it’s just getting shipped abroad
And remember all the flak in the USA about the Canadian oil pipline? Well Canada is signing a one-sided Canada-China trade deal – Ottawa capitulated to China on everything.
The killer confession:

Top Senate Democrat: bankers “own” the U.S. Congress
Sen. Dick Durbin, [has been the Senate Majority Whip, the second highest position in the Democratic Party leadership in the Senate, since 2007.] on a local Chicago radio station this week, blurted out an obvious truth about Congress that, despite being blindingly obvious, is rarely spoken: “And the banks — hard to believe in a time when we’re facing a banking crisis that many of the banks created — are still the most powerful lobby on Capitol Hill. And they frankly own the place.” The blunt acknowledgment that the same banks that caused the financial crisis “own” the U.S. Congress — according to one of that institution’s most powerful members — demonstrates just how extreme this institutional corruption is.
The ownership of the federal government by banks and other large corporations is effectuated in literally countless ways, none more effective than the endless and increasingly sleazy overlap between government and corporate officials. Here is just one random item this week announcing a couple of standard personnel moves:
Former Barney Frank staffer now top Goldman Sachs lobbyist….
….Paese went from Chairman Frank’s office to be the top lobbyist at Goldman, and shortly before that, Goldman dispatched Paese’s predecessor, close Tom Daschle associate Mark Patterson, to be Chief of Staff to Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, himself a protege of former Goldman CEO Robert Rubin and a virtually wholly owned subsidiary of the banking industry. That’s all part of what Desmond Lachman — American Enterprise Institute fellow, former chief emerging market strategist at Salomon Smith Barney and top IMF official (no socialist he) – recently described as “Goldman Sachs’s seeming lock on high-level U.S. Treasury jobs.”….
Sen. Evan Bayh’s previously-reported central role on behalf of the bankers in blocking legislation, hated by the banking industry, to allow bankruptcy judges to alter the terms of mortgages so that families can stay in their homes.….

And as a footnote:
Watch Out: The World Bank Is Quietly Funding a Massive Corporate Water Grab

My battery pack started shrieking just as I was going thru and disabling the links so I quickly posted the comment before it was lost.
Now I am back on Hubby’s machine.

The area I live in was settled by Mennonite farmers to a large part. Wonderful, hardworking people with great Christian values. They are from the east of the Tambov, in the Samara area. They lived fairly communally and had amassed huge wealth, having their own schools and religion and customs. Because they were free and wealthy and Christian they had to be crushed. The great grandparents (lots are dead now but passed down the stories) still talk of being overrun by the Red army and the White army, over and over again. They were pacifist and suffered greatly. A dear friend of mine always quotes her mother who lived on a large farm with amazing wealth, “Just understand, everything can all change in a moment. It can all be gone in the snap of a finger”. This was her family’s story. They moved to Canada with nothing, grateful for their lives, many male members had been killed. They started again, working the jobs their servants had in Russia for food and a roof over their heads.

I suspect if Tambov had happened after 1926, it would be fairly well known, as the Soviets could then have blamed it on Stalin.
Holodomor, which was definitely Stalin’s doing, is commonly ignored, especially by the Left, but at least it is known to a fair number of knowledgeable people; it’s not completely buried. Tambov would probably be there, were it not something that Saint Lenin ordered.
(The Commie-suck-up narrative is that Lenin was good, but didn’t see Stalin for what he was, and Stalin corrupted the whole system.)

One thing I knew about long ago was Lenin having political prisoners stuffed onto barges that were towed out into the middle of Lake Ladoga…then sunk.

A worthy book set in early Soviet Russia was Ayn Rand’s We The Living. She herself emigrated in 1926, and promised to try to tell the outside world of how bad it was. That was her attempt to do so.
She said that the story was fiction…but the setting was real.
It portrays ordinary life for people there. Not prisoners, not the elite. Ordinary life was bad enough; it might remind some of stories coming out of Venezuela.

Apparently she had extended family in Chicago, and by sheer chance was able to get an exit visa.

When Mussolini’s Italy was fighting the Soviets, it was chosen by his authorities (on the strength of its potential to deliver an anti-Communist message) to be made into a major motion picture.
A team of freedom-lovers led the production team, and they managed to attract the support of a relative of Il Duce to provide political cover. All the leading national stars vied for roles in their project.
The result was Noi Vivi, considered to be one of the great classics of the Italian film industry. It is documented that Italians stood in lines wrapped around city blocks to get into theaters showing it.
Decades later, an American couple, friends of Rand, found some of the last surviving prints in a vault while they were vacationing in Rome, and arranged for them to be transferred to her as part of a copyright settlement. (During the war, she had never been notified of, or paid for, the use of her intellectual property.)
Rand arranged for another of her associates, the award-winning director/producer Duncan Scott, to restore the classic for the American market. She herself wrote the English subtitles. The restored version was shown here in theaters, and was transferred to DVD.

As I understand it, the Fascists (name-brand, Italy invented the term) eventually realized the people of Italy loved the movie so much because they took it as a criticism of the Italian government, too…and stopped showing it.

I’ve heard that too, Steve. But I’ve also heard that it was debunked.
Not sure which is true.
Until we get this damnable Mockingbird Media situation cleaned up, AND the people become less epistemologically complacent, and more active in assessing the provenance and credibility of the claims made to them, there will unfortunately be many issues like this for which my brain must remain in a superposition of eigenstates.

“superposition of eigenstates”
That’s one way to put it! Schroedinger’s cat certainly doesn’t have your tongue.

Lol!
I meant it metaphorically, not literally.
I’m sure quantum phenomena are relevant to the operation of mind, but not in the “simple-minded” way that was popular in speculative non-fiction when I was in college.
