We’re still here. Kudos to the diligence of those still following the Great ShaMMMpeachment of the Congress. Forget Water-Boarding as a method of torture, watching ShaMMMpeachment would make criminals sing and confess loudly, anything to stop the whining of Congress critters who waste our time and money. Today will be a non-stop bloviating of 100 Senators all desperate for their chance in front of a camera.
Remember when you were a kid, kept in school for too long and anxious to get outside and play on the first warm day of Spring? Yeah, that’s what the American People feel like after ShaMMMpeachment. We’re ready to go back to work, buy a house, start a business, hire someone. Congress droning on and on, pushing propaganda, lying about events, considering hearsay as fact, demanding the President of the USA PROVE innocence rather than the prosecutor prove guilt. It’s an unending loop of Charlie Brown’s teacher.

By law: When the House presents impeachment articles to the Senate, the Senate must immediately stop any work on legislation….Had they opted for witnesses and documents, the Senate would have been unable to appoint any further judicial appointments as long as the impeachment trial was still in process….for years…the Dems would have shut down the Senate…..

He believes Trump abused his power by withholding aid for his own political gain. Not above the law….heard testimony, he too took notes….compare this to vote to send people to war….there was little transparency, shortest Trial ever, if we have good information, the President needed to cooperate…No witnesses, no documents, no information from the executive branch…Has seen no sensitive information…..no need for redactions….There’s no doubt the President obstructed the Senate from doing it’s job….

The high bar for removal for office when the impeachment is for a difficult non defined fact. I do not believe the house proved that the President must not remain in office one day longer. The 33 day delay destroys this argument. She will acquit on Article I
Obstruction, the House withdrew a subpoena from Charles Kupperman, the House chose not to issue a subpoena to John Bolton who the House has identified as a key witness. The House should have remedied the issues. In making these choices, the House chose speed over adjudication.
She will acquit on Article II.
It is her judgement that in except in extraordinary situations, we should let the people decide who should lead their country.

Ohio Senator Rob Portman. He’s been consistent in his belief that what PDJT did was wrong, but that doesn’t rise to the level of an impeachable offense.
In the two articles of impeachment, there is no criminal offense. Without a crime, there is a higher bar for conviction. Even tho’ delayed, aid was released and investigations not undertaken. Portman is a strong supporter to Ukraine. He asked Obama to provide lethal aid.
There is the question of the legitimacy of the House investigation. Instead of using the tools available, the House sped through the process and then withheld for 33 days. They didn’t even issue subpoenas. It is incomprehensible that the House leaked testimony, and didn’t allow due process.

The accusations that the Senate is engaging in a cover-up is wrong on the merit. …he quotes Nanzi Pelosi from October….’shouldn’t go down that path’….This case is not overwhelming…..must move on and getting work done for American people….

Lankford goes through the timeline, due process not allowed. PDJT has honored each court decision. Separate between factual issues and political issues. Not a simple process. Do the facts line up…no do they not…There will be more accusations, but at this time, I choose to acquit the President.
I have only counted 51 Senators delivering their speeches so far, 52, if you count McConnell’s short speech this morning right as the session began.
They are going to have to work hard to finish before 4:30 pm tomorrow and still attend the SOTU tonight at 9:15 pm.
As far as I can tell, the Democrats are making a stellar case to the country for voting each of them out of office and to never again allow them a majority in either house, never again vote for one for President, and actively work to get them out of our judicial system and educational institutions.
They put party over country, self interest over national interest, and lies and disinformation over truth.
They steal as soon as they are able to get control of other people’s money, and they accuse and destroy the lives of the innocent over crimes they themselves are guilty of.
While there may be exceptions, I can think of very few. To attain power in the Democrat party seems to come at the cost of personal integrity.
We have to work like crazy to defeat these people in 2020 and well beyond that. We can never forget.
