Black Forest cake. Haven’t had it forever, and I don’t want to eat a whole cake by myself! I do like cherry pie though. Another thing I like to do is make chocolate chip cookies with a darker chocolate chip, maybe not so many as you would put in for a regular chocolate chip cookie, and add dried sweet cherries to the batter.
Aldi has some great cakes. I just bought way too many

Not to be the party pooper but none of that is good for you. People that die from the virus all have some form of metabolic disease which is directly related to your diet. Meaning carbs. Not saying you can never have some goodies but it needs to be once in awhile versus a regular event.

The other thing would be to find a German Bakery, slice a whole cake into four, and freeze 3/4ths of it. I do that with stuff that I like, but my wife and/or son don’t like… usually works pretty well, even if I have to add (in this case) extra Kirschwasser after it’s defrosted…. gives me a chance to, erm, test it 🙂 hic…
Hmm, I like the freezing in portions option. May do that sometime in the future, but I would make it myself.

Elastic Cord could be tied in a knot to make a loop.

I like this idea – because it would be possible to wash the cloth part in hot water to sanitize and the elastic in cold water to preserve the elasticity.
A spray of lemon juice or diluted citric acid on the outer portion – then let air dry – would provide the acid environment to kill the virus.
You could assemble several masks ahead of time and and make enough to have some in the wash and some ready to go!

These two DIY Mask videos are more involved…both are trying to create the equivalent of an N95 Mask.
They both use a ‘Hepa filter’ that is for a heating/air system in a home.

These both end up being kind of thick…so it seems like they would be hard to breathe through.
I like the idea of cutting up a Hepa filter, though, and using a piece of it in the mask.
HERE’S a quick, easy washable, versatile no sew mask using hankerchiefs and covered ponytail elastic bands. Filters can be added as desired.
It would also be easy to add bendable twist ties or pipe cleaners for nose wires when folding the handkerchief. A fabric napkin or plain woven or non-woven unhemmed fabric could also be used.
Yep…I liked the idea of using pipe cleaners for nose fittings.
Twist ties would work too.
Especially the thicker ones.
I’ll bet some tape would hold them in place, too.
Instead of using a glue gun, like that one video showed.
The wide wire that comes on the top of a coffee bag would make an excellent nose wire for the masks. I like your idea of taping them in place!

Dr Doom and those with the agenda to destroy this country do NOT want that number known, nor as I (obviously correctly) hypothesized the TRUE date and amount of people here who were infected and recovered BEFORE we shut down flights, and BEFORE we had any test, let alone an ACCURATE test.
For example, what if MILLIONS were already infected, primarily out west, and recovered. What if the same is TRUE in states that STILL have low numbers of cases and deaths. What IF the early covid cases and deaths were mis attributed by people and Dr’s alike to be the REGULAR flu, and NOT reported, and they RECOVERED.

Reporting and extrapolating deaths and cases from a HOTSPOT, and then applying it to the REST of a country of OVER 330 million is FOLLY at best, bad Science and maybe BAD INTENTIONED at worst.
Using a FLAWED model with more than ONE unknown attribute is a recipe for a DISASTER of a model. One that is NOT even worth the ink or paper it is printed with. USING that arbitrary GUESS to shut down the country is even WORSE. CONTINUING to move the goal posts, using said arbitrary model, and subsequently DESTROYING the country it pretends to be trying to SAVE is beyond STUPID, it is NEGLIGENT, and THAT takes effort and planning, not just incompetence.
Trump needs NEW and MORE advisors, and needs to STOP placing his faith and the FATE of this country in the hands of two obviously in over their heads, biased, agenda driven FOOLS. Educated and credential fools, but FOOLS just the same.

I think the post office loses a lot of money because stamp collectors have become few and far between. The post office puts out too many new stamps for collectors to gather and most times you need to buy the complete sheet, the souvenir sheet and single (to get the single you need to buy another complete sheet) for the book for each stamp issued.
I realize that stamp companies will still buy the stamps from the post office and then try to sell them to the “customers” at quite the mark up. After all they can always be used for postage. The only problem is too few people are starting to collect stamps and no one wants to buy the collections anymore, people are advised to donate them.
Think of how many stamps were printed over the years that never got used, an extra added plus for the post office.

I actually welcome this news. I wrote an account yesterday about a trip to Walmart. People were not social-distancing, the aisles were crowded so shoppers bunched together in some cases, some people were talking in groups, etc. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. It was as if people had been quarantined for a while and had run out of some things and were tired of the “rules,” so they just broke out.
And on a different recent occasion, I was in an aisle with a mom and three small children. No one had any awareness of distancing. The kids were wandering and touching things and talking, with no supervision from mom.
Mine has to stay next to me, hands in pockets, no touching. But thats me.

Im in southern California. Puffed up is a term for authoritarian, slightly too much for the situation. The armed security guard looks like an ex thug. And, security guards are not cops. The standards are dar far lower.
Approved to walk in means you are standing in a steel barricaded line and cannot enter the store until the walmart employee with an ipad says you are allowed to do so.
No I didnt talk about looting in my neighborhood. I talked about social unrest with people out of work. Alcohol sales are way up and domestic disputes are climbing as well.

There’s something really odd, a profound disconnect of sorts, between what the media is sharing and the reality of what the general public is reporting from their own experience.
According to most national media hospitals are overwhelmed with coronavirus patients.
U.S. media claim doctors and nurses are collapsing under the stress and strain of conditions they describe as “war zones” in the battle against COVID-19.
Media are now reporting about nurses and doctors committing suicide as they try to deal with severe PTSD, and psychological trauma, as a result of endless shifts in overcrowded hospitals filled with desperate and dying patients. Additionally, refrigerated trailers now fill with piles of dead bodies as the morgues are overwhelmed with deceased coronavirus patients.
Influencers, perhaps people with an interest in pushing an agenda, are sharing videos of nurses and doctors pleading for help and crying under duress amid their struggle. It all seems rather sad and unnerving. Additionally, professional instability that severe seems a little disconcerting…. That said, that’s one summation of a recent 24-hour media cycle.
However, there is a disconnect.
I’m not talking a little disconnect; there is a profound and entirely opposite set of reports from nurses, doctors and healthcare workers –in multiple states– who are being laid-off, sent home, told not to come in; and doctors worried of losing their practices because hospitals, and their offices are completely empty.

Meanwhile people who need to go the hospital for other reasons are denied or postponed. Even my primary care physician has shut down for at least two weeks. However I was able to go to the package store and stock up on wine.
I don’t know for how much longer they can pull off this charade. People are going to get restless…and cranky…and hungry…and then angry.

People like Fauci need to spend time BEING ‘dying people’ in order to see the light.
At the rate were going now you won’t have an economy in 12 months.
Meanwhile the media refuses to ask those kind of questions. It should be all about how can we sustain ourselves over the next 12 to 18 months while we wait on this magic cure which will likely only give half assed results.

I have successful infiltrated Kansas from Colorado for work tomorrow. It is about a 5.5 hour drive to Dodge City from the Denver area. Saw very few face coverings. Nice to see the people ain’t sheeple as in most cases the social distancing is sufficient. Luv’s truck stop had installed big plexiglass sheets up for the cashiers which was sensible. Coffee had to be poured by an employee which made sense also.
Oh by the way. Someone posted on my twitter feed a pic of an obese woman that was pumping gas. She had her right hand inside the back of her pants scratching her ass. I now use gloves when I pump gas. $1.69 by the way.
Have to do the PPE thing for my location visits but that is fairly standard except for the N95 mask. A lot of companies I visit have us fill out questionnaires regarding health, where we have been, covid contacts etc. Still healthy but looking forward for an antibody test to see where I stand.
Will have to hit a couple of stores tomorrow on the way home for any TP. We are good for awhile but that is the one product that seems to be struggling to re-stock.
