Dear KAG: 20200813 Open Thread

Quick author note: many thanks to our host, Wolfm00n, for covering in emergency circumstances. My neck of the woods was sans electricity (we say “power” in these parts, Coothie) about 38 hours following a tree branch falling on the 220 line (it took four splices to put it back together). At this time, the ice maker is productive, and the dogs are no longer panting for being way too hot in the middle of the night. Here’s to a decent night’s sleep…last night I was longing for an old fashioned sleeping porch.

Look out, y’all. I found a new Youtube parody channel:

More of this patriot’s work appears at the bottom of this post. In the meantime…..

All this isolation and idle hands is just inviting…well, this:

Yeah, the virus is smaller than anything coming out of an aerosol can. Some of us actually did pass physics a long time ago. Really, this guy just wanted to play with fire.

Anyway, here is the anti-COVID 19 narrative sing along song.

Bop, bop, bop

Feel free to hold hands, and touch. But, please, wash them afterwards.

As usual, this is the daily thread, the place to put all information that needs to be out there – Q drops, Q drop decodes, riot information, rumors about MAGA rallies starting up again, news flashes, Chy-na flu updates, fashionable mask photos, satire, memes, and of course cute animal videos.

In the meantime, the short and sweet version of “THE RULES” is here borrowed from Tuesday:

Guidelines for posting and discussion on this site were outlined by our host, WolfM00n. Please, review them from time to time.

The discourse on this site is to be CIVIL – no name calling, baiting, or threatening others here is allowed. Those who are so inclined may visit Wolf’s other sanctuary, the U-Tree, to slog it out.

This site is a celebration of the natural rights endowed to humans by our Creator as well as those enshrined in the Bill of Rights adopted in the founding documents of the United States of America. Within the limits of law, how we exercise these rights is part of the freedom of our discussion.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

Since it is almost the weekend, the reminders are in place to not swing from the chandeliers, wash your hands and face, and be nice to the liberals whether they deserve it or not. Making your bed, OTOH, is optional.

From Psalm 78 (77 in the Douay-Rheims)

[52] And he took away his own people as sheep: and guided them in the wilderness like a flock. [53] And he brought them out in hope, and they feared not: and the sea overwhelmed their enemies. [54] And he brought them into the mountain of his sanctuary: the mountain which his right hand had purchased. And he cast out the Gentiles before them: and by lot divided to them their land by a line of distribution. [55] And he made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tabernacles.

[56] Yet they tempted, and provoked the most high God: and they kept not his testimonies. [57] And they turned away, and kept not the covenant: even like their fathers they were turned aside as a crooked bow. [58] They provoked him to anger on their hills: and moved him to jealousy with their graven things. [59] God heard, and despised them, and he reduced Israel exceedingly as it were to nothing. [60] And he put away the tabernacle of Silo, his tabernacle where he dwelt among men.

[61] And he delivered their strength into captivity: and their beauty into the hands of the enemy. [62] And he shut up his people under the sword: and he despised his inheritance. [63] Fire consumed their young men: and their maidens were not lamented. [64] Their priests fell by the sword: and their widows did not mourn. [65] And the Lord was awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that hath been surfeited with wine.

[66] And he smote his enemies on the hinder parts: he put them to an everlasting reproach. [67] And he rejected the tabernacle of Joseph: and chose not the tribe of Ephraim: [68] But he chose the tribe of Juda, mount Sion which he loved. [69] And he built his sanctuary as of unicorns, in the land which he founded for ever. [70] And he chose his servant David, and took him from the flocks of sheep: he brought him from following the ewes great with young,
