2026.03.31 Daily Thread: The World According to Trade(Bait)

Today we are going to discuss – BUDGETS! Yeah! Everybody loves a budget. Right?! No?! Wut? You don’t love having a budget or even talking about them? Dang. Maybe I can change your mind. Maybe not.

With all of the unnecessary drama about the funding issues caused by Demoncrap politics and R-con pansies primarily in Club Senate, we need to remember all of it can be fixed if We the People keep the hammer down on ALL elected officials. I will be suggesting a couple of methods further down in this text for when America First MAGA decides to wield its power on the elected officials nationwide.

But first, let’s see what The Word has to say about a related subject. First from the Old Testament in Proverbs 21:5.

“The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.”

The next is from the New Testament in Luke 14:28.

“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?

We see that the prudent person makes plans that leads to success while the impulsive goes broke. In keeping with that, if you are planning to build or do something, you need to know how much it will cost or else it may not get done.

So plan for success. Check. Determine the cost and how much money you need to get it done. Check. Yeah, you know that means to BUDGET.

Simple concept to understand and execute if we are disciplined enough to do it. The problem is the majority of humanity rarely does. The attitude is “We don’t need no stinkin’ budgets (badges)!”

Budgets

I am not going to bore readers with a discussion on how to budget. You know how, you need to just do it. Below are some recommendations of types if you need them.

https://www.thrivent.com/insights/budgeting-saving/types-of-budgets-5-most-popular-methods-examples-who-theyre-best-for

Wifey and I have never budgeted annually. Instead we plan and do our version of the No-budget Budget continuously as in the link. Which means planning long term for purchases, investments and other major uses while controlling spending to build surpluses. Then we spend the money at the right time and always look for the low point in pricing of whatever it is, which can be on sale, seasonal, negotiable, etc. We do not agonize over spending the funds since we planned and did our due diligence about a product or purpose. This method works for even emergency usage purposes. You simply think through what could happen and plan for possible emergency needs along with allocating funds to savings over time.

However, the budgeting I am primarily discussing today is our nation’s.

Federal Budgets

When was the last time a full budget of our federal government was approved by both houses of Congress and signed into law by the POTUS on time before the fiscal year began, which means without use of continuing resolutions (CR’s)?

No fair cheating and asking AI. Well, OK, go ahead if you must.

The year was 1997. Yup, about three decades ago. So let’s revisit some headlines from those days.

Slick was still doing the dirty with Monica.

Sorry, couldn’t resist. 😂

Ireland granted a divorce for the first time in its history, Notorius B.I.G. was shot to death at an LA stoplight, Heaven’s Gate cult members committed mass suicide in SoCal, Timothy McVeigh was convicted of the Okie City bombing,

Tiger Woods won his first Masters. Shockingly, he is still alive after winning more and blowing up his body and personal life multiple times.

Hong Kong was returned to China, Princess Di died in that Paris car crash, John Denver died in a private plane crash, Elton John hit the top of the charts with Candle in the Wind, and the Titanic mega movie hit theaters.

The economy was buzzing. Newt’s Contract with America was paying big dividends and Slick was staying out of the way while taking all the credit; which was always the Clinton’s favorite move. The GDP had grown to a dazzling (for them and then) 3.75% range and markets were good with the Dow Jones Industrial Index closing at 7908. My own small business banking career was beginning to take off. Life was good in general for much of our population. The following Fed annual report can inform anybody who wants to know more about our nation’s financial condition.

https://www.federalreserve.gov/boarddocs/rptcongress/annual97/ar97_02.pdf

Fast forward a half dozen years and the trends may start making you depressed as you remember then and now. Look at how much the deficit has increased since the last annual budget surplus was achieved in 2001. Since that point our nation has experienced 9/11, forever wars, the debt markets collapse and Great Recession beginning in 2008, Russia Russia Russia, the COVID scamdemic, openly stolen elections and lighting a match to more money than we can count supporting Nazis in Ukraine. It has been almost like we were in a controlled state of demolition as a country. Right?

Well, what nation or nations rose during that period? Yup. What elected officials aligned with those nations during the period? What industries and companies benefitted the most from the answers to those questions? What events distracted We the People from the answers to those first two questions?

It has been as simple to analyze and understand as answering those type questions.

Today

We the People have learned much through those 25 years. We learned that the old rules, thoughts and ways of doing things are no longer productive or necessary. Citizen ownership of guns and concealed carry permits/licenses have exploded. We learned that many kids did not succeed in public schools or live well after getting shot up with endless vaccines. Prepper supplies and info sold like hotcakes. We have learned that Big Pharm, CDC, FDA, NIH and a sundry of medical professionals as well as related industries, organizations and schools are extremely dangerous scam artists and liars who are willing to commit genocide for a buck. We learned that some believe there are dozens of genders with matching pronouns, you can mutilate a human to make it a different sex to affirm the “dignity” of the person, that sexual perversion is cool and normal, that you can dress like an animal and use a kitty litter box instead of a toilet even in public schools, that baby parts and blood help old human demons stay alive, and so on.

You get the picture.

We also learned about a guy named Trump. Boy, did we ever learn. The entire globalist world upchucked on itself when #45 happened. We MAGA types could scarce believe our good fortune. We knew we were cooked as an independent nation without a force such as him and the patriots taking over. He brought incredible economic growth despite all of the skullduggery of the wicked globalists who opposed his every move and tried to take him down.

From these experiences we also learned on a more mundane business of We the People level that the nation does not need an annual federal budget since there has not been one that mattered even when eventually one would get done well into a fiscal year THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PERIOD.

A few years of stupidity is one thing, a quarter century of it should be enough for everybody to admit that things have to change.

It no longer mattered because the federal government ALWAYS spent far more than the revenues they forecast or received because investors and other countries continued to invest in our debt (Treasuries). At least they did when the Treasury and Fed were not issuing and buying back their own debt. Say hello to quantitative easing. Had the inflow and creation of funds out of thin air stopped, the excessive spending would have stopped and the complicit businesses that caused the fiscal nightmare to the economy would have hit the bankruptcy courts. But the politicians could not have that because there personal incomes would take a hit.

America provided foreign investors a perceived safe harbor such that they made an acceptable rate of return orchestrated by a compliant and complicit Fed, which is not controlled by the POTUS or Congress despite being technically under the U. S. Treasury. That was the brilliant evil that came from the globalist ghosts of Jekyll Island. Ot course the politicians have been all too happy to play along with the scam as they became richer and richer.

Some created funds usage went for nefarious purposes of weakening our nation’s economic condition to the delight of the Uniparty, War Pigs and other enemies of the Republic who benefitted. Trump and patriots are dismantling one of their primarily beneficiaries – the Islamic Republic of Iran, before our very eyes today. The international corruption became business as usual, entrenched and built into the system that eroded the wealth of our middle class. The national debt and annual deficits exploded.

The submitted budgets from Congress and Presidents never practically balanced and there have been no restraints. They were fantasy and lipstick on the pig. It was all SWAG based using phony baloney projections and assumptions cooked up by partisan political hacks and backed by the Dem controlled Congressional Budget Office (CBO) and other swamp critters. The Republicons never cared enough to clean house when they won elections, they wanted theirs as well. Congress continued to spend like drunken sailors with no thoughts of tomorrow or We the People because most were in on the money grab. Explain the massive fortunes these elected officials accumulated during their times in office any other way. Their operatives made out like bandits as well in high paying, fake government jobs which led to the radical blue area support in DC, northern VA, Maryland, Delaware, etc.

All of it proves we do not need to keep doing annual budgets in our status quo halls of Congress since they have been weaponized against We the People. It will remain that way to some degree until/if a balanced budget amendment is passed. Until then, I suggest we think outside the box and upset the Deep State apple carts permanently with the following.

Perpetual Budgeting

Sometimes known as a continuous budget in the spirit of our personal budget model discussed above; the perpetual budget provides for updating on a regular, usually monthly or quarterly, basis as well as when major plans and changes in budget are approved and implemented. In this case that latter point would happen as major legislation is passed that requires budget adjustment. As an example, when one month or quarter is completed another is added. There would be no requirement that a budget of that type be done only on an annual basis. It could be for two or four years as examples, if at all after the initial one is passed. There is no Constitutional requirement for an annual federal budget. That is an outgrowth of the House of Representatives being granted authority over the purse. It is a practice that is lawful, but without specific provision.

https://law.stackexchange.com/questions/101136/does-the-united-states-constitution-impose-an-obligation-on-congress-to-pass-a-b

For what it is worth, in my best Scott interrogation of Chat GPT, I took it down and made it apologize for saying there was a Constitutional requirement with its first response.

😂

To effect the change would mean legislative approval would be required to modify the process from the existing selected method of practice and procedure. Which is a timing issue for when a white hat GOP group of patriots gained control of Congress. When explained to American citizens it would become another 80/20 approval of the measure. The continuous haggling and posturing over budget matters would end. The fake news media would hate it and oppose. They might have to actually work as journalists to survive instead of the profiting from the Kabuki Theater we see today.

When used with a Balanced Budget Amendment (BBA) the perpetual budget would require significant proof, not faked estimates, of funds and revenue stream availability to justify any additional allocation or increase in appropriation as well as the increases in costs and expenses. There would need to be approval from Congress to make budget changes to ongoing appropriations and allocations That could potentially slow “progress” down, not a bad thing in some cases as it would slow the mischief of the Uniparty.

With the dynamics of our huge budget that has so many moving parts and the rapidly growing tariff revenues, the flexibility of continuous budgeting would put a headlock on the current and future political gridlock in Congress over CR’s and “annual” budget appropriations.

What some folks miss is that many programs and departments in the federal government have “end” (termination) dates that are forgotten or intentionally ignored. Instead they get continually renewed through CR’s and inattention. This keeps operatives employed and making mischief throughout the system to enrich the participants. In perpetual budgeting they are automatically ended unless extensions are approved in advance by Congress. We the People will know if we are provided transparent access to the financial workings of our nation, which is a goal of DOGE and U. S. DOGE Service.

It would also be an ideal weapon for PDT and future patriot Presidents to respond to opportunities throughout the globe as well as a deterrent for excessive spending by any elected officials. As an example, if American citizens got stupid and voted more criminals into power, the codifying of perpetual budgeting and the BBA would provide a good defense.

The operations of America, Inc. would take a more business as usual approach that would kill the Uniparty’s hellbent desire to spend other people’s money (ours) for personal and NGO gain. Political battles, holding payroll hostage and posturing in the media over CR’s would end as well. CR’s that have been a plague on our nation for 25+ years would have no reason to even exist.

Perpetual budgets would reduce the numbers of non-productive budget personnel in every area of government. With the new AI based operating system that is envisioned and being implemented there are less “hands” in the process as well as the till. The archaic always wrong, Demoncrap controlled CBO would be revamped to reflect current and proposed methods that actually work as well as using real time financial activity. Forecasting would become much more accurate and predictable, which would benefit all of us.

Our elected officials need to be more responsive to a rapidly changing, dangerous world while being much more responsive to We the People. The old ways and games they play need to come to an end. The Fed report I linked near the beginning is the type report and analysis they still do today. It is passé. PDT is trying to force the federal government and Federal Reserve into current times since what formerly was, is no more. Scott Bessent is being a hammer in Treasury and on the world stage. We do not need the old business as usual to throw a monkey wrench into The Golden Age. The unelected Fed would be completely removed from policy making, a goal of #47’s admin. Along with the proposed changes in the CBO, the Uniparty and Deep State would lose serious levers to their ages old political stranglehold on power and access to money to fund their devious schemes and activities.

I have provided a balanced look at Perpetual Budgeting in summary form in the link below for those who want to know more, while at the same time knowing that many readers will not do so. 😂 Perpetual budgeting does not have to be strict and narrow, it can be adapted to government accountability needs that make sense. Think practical and pragmatic, not political and corrupt. Think innovatively, not stuck in what seems to have always been. If 1913 taught us anything, the paradigms can be changed for good or for evil.

If this site gets shut down, please remember various ways to get back in touch with the rest of the gang:

Our beloved country is under Occupation by hostile forces.

Daily outrage and epic phuckery abound.

We can give in to despair…or we can be defiant and fight back in any way that we can.

And we will keep saying Joe Biden didn’t win until we get His Fraudulency out of our White House.

Wolfie’s Wheatie’s Word of the Week:

kalpis

noun

  • a water jar
  • a type of Ancient Greek water jug
  • a hydria having a rounded shoulder and a small back handle

Used in a sentence, or even a paragraph

The kalpis is a variant form of the more common hydria, a vessel used for carrying water. Often awarded as prizes in competitions and dedicated in sanctuaries, these valuable objects also served as cinerary urns and ballot boxes. Decorative appliqués or statuettes were usually cast separately and soldered or riveted to the exterior.

I love this cover (thanks, Cthulhu!) of the old Queen song way too much! Not only do these harmonic gals remind me of the “sireens” in the Coen brothers movie “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” – they remind me of various young ladies I hung out with during my misspent youth. Happy, loud, and guaranteed to make my mother’s eye start twitching!

On this day and every day –

God is in Control
. . . and His Grace is Sufficient, so . . .
Keep Looking Up

Hopefully, every Sunday, we can find something here that will build us up a little . . . give us a smile . . . and add some joy or peace, very much needed in all our lives.

“This day is holy to the Lord your God;
do not mourn nor weep.” . . .
“Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet,
and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared;
for this day is holy to our Lord.
Do not sorrow,
for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

What God Wants

What does God want from me?  The people in the prophet Micah’s day complained that God was never satisfied. They snidely asked, “Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of olive oil?” (Micah 6:7). It was their way of asking, “What does God want from us, anyway?” Some people today feel like all their striving to please God goes for nothing, and they, too, ask, “What does God want from me?”

Jesus was asked once which commandment of the Law was the greatest. He answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:30–32; cf. Matthew 22:37–39). What God wants is really quite simple: He wants us. All our service for God must flow from those two commands to love, or it is not real service; it is fleshly effort. And Romans 8:8 says that those who are “in the flesh cannot please God.”

First, God wants us to trust in His Son as Savior and Lord (Philippians 2:9–11). Second Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord . . . is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” We come to know Jesus through repenting of our sin and accepting Him as our personal sacrifice (Romans 10:9John 1:12). When Jesus’ disciples asked Him to show them the Father, He replied, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9). God wants us to know Him, and we can only know Him through Jesus.

Next, God wants us to “become conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29). The Father wants all of His children to be like Jesus. He brings situations into our lives to refine us and chip away those flawed characteristics that are in the way of our becoming who He designed us to be (Hebrews 12:7James 1:12). As Jesus was obedient to the Father in everything, so the goal of every child of God should be to obey our Heavenly Father (John 8:29). First Peter 1:14–15 says, “As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do.”

Many people, like the Pharisees in Jesus’ day, try to put the external action before the inner heart change (Luke 11:42). They place all the focus on what they do rather than who they are. But, unless love for God is our motivation, outward displays of goodness only result in pride and legalism. Neither pleases God. When we surrender ourselves totally to Him, His Holy Spirit empowers us to love God fully and serve Him from the right motive. True service and holiness are simply the outworking of the Spirit, the overflowing of a life dedicated to the glory of God. When our focus is on loving God rather than simply serving Him, we end up doing both. If we skip the relationship, our service is of no use and benefits nothing (1 Corinthians 13:1–2).

What does God want from me? The prophet Micah responded to the Israelites’ complaint that they didn’t know what God wanted from them. The prophet says, “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with God?” (Micah 6:8, ESV). God’s desire for us is very simple. People complicate things, tacking on rules and man-made laws that ensure frustration and kill the joy in following Christ (2 Corinthians 3:6). God wants us to love Him with all our hearts and let our obedience stem from a heartfelt desire to be pleasing in His sight.

David understood what God wanted when he prayed, “You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise” (Psalm 51:16–17).

What does God want me to do? For a variety of reasons. We may be facing a big life decision and truly want to follow God’s plan. Or we may be searching for God and believe that there are steps to follow or rules to keep in order to find Him. Or we may ask, “What does God want me to do?” because we can’t find purpose or meaning in our lives and suspect that God is keeping it from us. Whatever motivates the question, the Bible has answers when we are wondering what God wants us to do.

When asking what God wants me to do, remember that we are not human doings. We were created in God’s image as human beings to communicate and walk in harmony with Him (Genesis 1:27). Doing is the result of being. Birds sing because they are birds; they do not sing in order to become birds. They sing, fly, and feather their nests because of who they are. So what God really wants is for all our doings to emanate from our being. He has no interest in grudging actions that have no connection with our hearts (Psalm 51:16–17; 1 Samuel 15:22; Micah 6:6–8). Whatever we do for God must come from a place of overflowing love, worship, and surrender (Hosea 6:6; 12:6).

The first thing God wants us to do is to accept His offer of salvation. We are hopeless in our sin and cannot be good enough to overcome our sin and enter His presence. That’s why Jesus came into the world to take the punishment we deserve (2 Corinthians 5:21). When we put our faith in Christ’s death and resurrection, we can fulfill our purpose of knowing and glorifying God (Romans 6:1–6). God takes on the job of transforming us so that we become more like Jesus (Romans 8:29). So the first answer to the question what does God want me to do? is to receive His Son, Jesus, as Lord and begin the journey of faith.

Secondly, after we are saved, what God wants us to do is “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). When God adopts us into His family (Romans 8:15), we begin a new relationship with Him that affects every aspect of our lives. Rather than making decisions to please ourselves, we make decisions that will please the Lord (1 Corinthians 10:31). Those decisions will be supported by the Bible, affirmed through godly counsel, and acted on through the power of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16, 25).

A quick checklist of things God wants us to do is found in Micah 6:8, which says, “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with God.”

Acting justly requires that we live with a sense of right and wrong and deal honestly and fairly with those around us. Jesus said we should not judge by appearances, “but judge with right judgment” (John 7:24). To do what God wants us to do, we must give everyone what is due them, we must live truthfully, and we must never oppress or exploit anyone. We should treat other people as fairly as we like to be treated (Matthew 7:12).

Loving mercy means we offer another chance to someone who does not deserve it. To do what God wants us to do, we must follow Jesus’ example in mercy; He was eager to show mercy toward anyone who repented (John 8:10–11; Luke 23:42–43). Like Jesus, we must forgive those who sin against us (Matthew 18:23–35). We should rejoice when someone is shown mercy, remembering how much mercy God has shown us (Luke 6:35–36).

We walk humbly with God by seeking His blessing and approval on our life decisions. God does not become merely a part of our lives, He IS our life (Galatians 2:20). To do what God wants us to do, we grow in our faith, continuing to surrender more and more areas of our lives to His control. We daily deny ourselves, take up our crosses, and follow Him (Luke 9:23). Only when we keep our sins confessed (1 John 1:9) and our lives free from idolatry, worldliness, and compromise (1 John 5:21) can we walk humbly with our God.

God wants us to impact our world with His message, the gospel. Jesus answered the question what does God want me to do? just before He ascended back into heaven. We call His words the Great Commission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:19–20). We make disciples by investing all that God has given us in the lives of other people so that they, too, become all they were created to be. When we focus on who we are in Christ and study the Scriptures, we will know what God wants us to do.

One of the most popular verses among both Jews and Christians promoting social justice is Micah 6:8. It reads, “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with God.” Many desire to know more about what this inspiring verse teaches on the issues of justice, mercy, and humility.

Micah 6 involves an imaginary conversation between the Lord and Israel. In verses 1-5 the Lord introduces His case against the disobedient people of Israel. Verses 6-7 record Israel’s response as a series of questions beginning with, “With what shall I come to the Lord?” (Micah 6:6).

Israel’s focus is on their external religious rites, and their questions show a progression from lesser to greater. First, they ask if God would be satisfied with burnt offerings of year-old calves (Micah 6:6b), offerings required in the Law of Moses. Second, they ask if they should bring “thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil” (Micah 6:7a). This is the rhetoric of hyperbole; such an offering could only be made by someone extremely wealthy or by the larger community of God’s people. Third, they ask whether they should offer their firstborn sons as a sacrifice for God. Would that be enough to cover their sin? Would God be pleased with them then?

Verse 8 follows with God’s answer, rooted in the Law of Moses: “He has told you, O man, what is good.” In other words, Israel should already have known the answer to their questions. God then says that He did not need or desire their religious rites, sacrifices, or oblations. Instead, the Lord sought Israel’s justice, mercy, and humility.

The answer to Israel’s sin problem was not more numerous or more painful sacrifices. The answer was something much deeper than any religious observance: they needed a change of heart. Without the heart, Israel’s conformity to the Law was nothing more than hypocrisy. Other prophets tried to communicate a similar message (Isaiah 1:14; Hosea 6:6; Amos 5:21). Unfortunately, God’s people were slow to heed the message (Matthew 12:7).

Act justly” would have been understood by Micah’s audience as living with a sense of right and wrong. In particular, the judicial courts had a responsibility to provide equity and protect the innocent. Injustice was a problem in Israel at that time (Micah 2:1-2; 3:1-3; 6:11).

Love mercy” contains the Hebrew word hesed, which means “loyal love” or “loving-kindness.” Along with justice, Israel was to provide mercy. Both justice and mercy are foundational to God’s character (Psalm 89:14). God expected His people to show love to their fellow man and to be loyal in their love toward Him, just as He had been loyal to them (Micah 2:8-9; 3:10-11; 6:12).

Walk humbly” is a description of the heart’s attitude toward God. God’s people depend on Him rather than their own abilities (Micah 2:3). Instead of taking pride in what we bring to God, we humbly recognize that no amount of personal sacrifice can replace a heart committed to justice and love. Israel’s rhetorical questions had a three-part progression, and verse 8 contains a similar progression. The response of a godly heart is outward (do justice), inward (love mercy), and upward (walk humbly).

The message of Micah is still pertinent today. Religious rites, no matter how extravagant, can never compensate for a lack of love (1 Corinthians 13:3). External compliance to rules is not as valuable in God’s eyes as a humble heart that simply does what is right. God’s people today will continue to desire justice, mercy, and humility before the Lord.

Trump admin. launches official WH app following series of cryptic social media posts

Following a series of cryptic social media teasers that sparked widespread speculation, the Trump administration officially launched the “White House App” on Friday.

The mobile platform is designed to bypass traditional media, offering citizens “unfiltered” access to live-streamed briefings, executive actions, and a direct messaging line to President Donald Trump.

Notably, the app also features a dedicated ICE Tip Line, allowing users to report immigration-related information directly to federal authorities.

“Live streams. Real-time updates. Straight from the source, no filter,” the White House promised from the app in its Friday announcement on X.

THUNE, Must Be Shitcanned.

53 R-Con Senators.

  • Three, Thune, Eric Schmidt, AND Bernie Moreno, conspired against 50 R-Con Senators, Trump, The House AND ALL Americans.
  • >>> Cowardly Betrayal. <<<

100% Data Republican’s X below, worth reading every word.

Hello Senator Thune,

At 3 AM on Friday, March 27th, in a near-empty chamber, you passed a bill by voice vote that excludes all funding for ICE and CBP.

Let me repeat that: voice vote. No roll call. No record of who was there. No accountability. Just you, Barrasso, and a handful of senators shuffling paper in the dead of night while America slept. You could have demanded a recorded vote. You chose not to.

You could have held the line for five more days until the House returned. You chose not to.

You could have used the same procedural tools Democrats have used against you for 40 days. You chose not to.

Instead, you gave Chuck Schumer exactly what he asked for, DHS funding minus immigration enforcement, and called it a win. Then you walked to the cameras and blamed the Democrats.

Let’s be precise about what you did:

1. You caved to a demand Democrats made on Day 1 of this shutdown. Forty-one days of supposed hardball negotiation, and you settled for their opening offer.

2. You handed them a template. The next time Democrats want to defund any agency — ICE, CBP, or anything else — they now know: just shut down DHS and wait. John Thune will fold at 3 AM.

3. You punted to reconciliation. “Good possibility,” you said. Not “we will.” Not “guaranteed.” Just maybe. Meanwhile, ICE operates on fumes from last year’s bill with no certainty of future funding.

The precedent you set:

You have argued for months that the filibuster is sacrosanct. That the 60-vote threshold protects minority rights. That we cannot bend Senate rules for policy wins.

But at 3 AM on Friday, you bent every norm that actually mattered:

• Voice vote to avoid accountability

• Empty chamber to avoid debate

• Midnight deal to avoid scrutiny

• Immediate recess to avoid questions

You’ll bend the rules to avoid a fight. You just won’t bend them to win one.

What you’ve actually accomplished:

Democrats demanded ICE restrictions. They got ICE defunded.

Not reformed. Not restrained. Defunded.

And you’re out here tweeting about how Democrats are the “Defund the Police” party while you just voted to defund border enforcement at 3 in the morning.

The question you should answer:

Why did this deal have to happen at 3 AM?

Why couldn’t it happen at 3 PM, with cameras rolling and every senator on record?

You know why. Because you didn’t want your voters to see what surrender looks like.

Here’s my message: We saw it anyway.

Stop hiding behind “Democrat obstruction.” You’re the Majority Leader. You set the schedule. You control the floor. You chose this outcome.

Own it.

Burchette, amazingly calm outwardly. Likely seething inside.

WOW. Rep. Tim Burchett just ripped Senate leadership for even leaving SPEAKER JOHNSON in the dark on the DHS funding deal that omits ICE

So a SHADY deal was made behind closed doors. Now Speaker Johnson is rejecting it! “I’m a little ticked off.

I’m ticked off at the Senate leadership, how they’ve, them and the Democrats, have decided to thwart the agenda of our president!”

“Going home for two weeks, not addressing the SAVE America Act, which is of the utmost importance.”

“We need to get that in. You know, the House has a bill to fund DHS. Of course, we’ll secure the border and pay our TSA agents and fund the men and women who work to protect American citizens.”

“It’s pretty pathetic to go home at two o’clock in the morning, or vote at two o’clock in the morning, and kind of leave, well, not kind of, but really do leave the taxpayers high and dry in this great country!”

“And I don’t blame the rank-and-file members. They have no say-so in it. This is clearly a deal that’s cut.”

“Our Speaker of the House didn’t even know. They didn’t have the courtesy of making a phone call over there.”

“So it’s clear that they don’t want us in the majority. They want to, they want the status quo to continue. They apparently want to open the borders and continue not funding our TSA, because that’s the way their votes have shown.”

“So we’ll keep fighting. We’re still here!”

Unbelievable, Evil Within Our Elected Government.

On the lighter side.

Evans immediately sprang into action, diving in to rescue the girls.

When asked where his bravery came from, he replied “God gave me strength, I couldn’t let them folks die.”

Police Officer Gary Mercer assisted Evans with the rescue, but he began to drown as well when one of the panicking victims tried to pull him under.

Despite being out of breath with exhausted legs, Evans swam back AGAIN to rescue both the Officer and the 3rd teen girl.

Health Friday 3.27.2026 Open Thread: HHS is Controlled by Big Pharma, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Federal Judiciary

The vintage header image of “The Trial of the Lewis Deer Raiders at Edinburgh” for today’s offering is courtesy of iStock and Google Images.

Health Friday is a series regarding Big Pharma, vaccines, general health, and associated topics. There are Important Notifications from our host, Wolf Moon; the Rules of our late, good Wheatie; and, certain caveats from Yours Truly, of which readers should be aware. They are linked here. Note: AI-generated items in today’s offering will be cited as such. If readers wish to post AI-generated items in today’s discussion thread, they must cite their source. Thank you.

Today’s offering discusses the recent court ruling by Federal Judge Brian E. Murphy, which as effectively gelded the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) division of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS.)

On 16 March 2026, Federal Judge Brian E. Murphy, of Boston, ruled for the plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the CDC, the ACIP group of the CDC (Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices), HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, and other defendants. The lawsuit was brought by a coalition of health organizations, headed by the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics.) The Murphy ruling, among other items, enjoined the ACIP group from undertaking its scheduled meeting in March, 2026; it stayed any proposed changes to the CDC Childhood Immunization Schedule, changes that were to have been approved at this meeting; and, nullified all recommendations, directives, and other actions, made by the ACIP group since July 2025. Fierce Pharma covered the ruling here: https://www.fiercepharma.com/pharma/judge-pumps-brakes-rfk-jr-vaccine-overhaul-targering-acip-and-cdc-schedule-revamp, Eric Sagonowsky and Fraiser Kansteiner, 16 March 2026.

The ruling by Judge Murphy is here: https://fingfx.thomsonreuters.com/gfx/legaldocs/gdpzawegkvw/03162026vaccine.pdf. The list of plaintiffs, and more coverage of the Murphy ruling, are here: https://www.apha.org/news-and-media/news-releases/apha-news-releases/federal-judge-blocks-immunization-schedule-changes, “Federal Judge Blocks Immunization Schedule Changes, Stays ACIP Member Appointments”, 16 March 2026. Please see the screenshot, below, from this article:

Dr. Jessica Rose, PhD, discussed the ruling here: https://jessicar.substack.com/p/more-on-the-judgy-mcjudgefaceacip-situation, “More on Judge Brian E Murphy/ACIP situation”, 21 March 2026. Please see the screenshots, below, from this article:

Yours Truly went to the article (referred to in the post by Dr. Rose), written by an experienced practicing attorney, regarding the Murphy “ruling.” The attorney is Bobbie Anne Flower Cox, Esq. Her article is here: https://brownstone.org/articles/when-judges-go-rogue/, 23 March 2026. Please see the screenshots from this article, below:

But wait, there’s more! Judge Murphy, in his “ruling”, also “critiqued” each (then)-member of the ACIP group, finding every one of them “lacking” in what he deemed to be the “amount of expertise” to be making any decisions regarding the CDC vaccination schedule. Please see the screenshots from his “ruling”, below: Page 29 and Page 30:

And then, with even more breathtaking condescension, the following, from Page 31 of the Murphy “ruling”:

It appears that the (then)-members of the ACIP group were supposed to “present evidence” to him that they ARE qualified to sit on the committee? And, if the JUDGE deems their “level of expertise” is “lacking”, that the JUDGE can dismiss such members from the committee? Were the credentials of, for example, (then)-ACIP member Dr. Robert Malone not “good enough” for Judge Murphy? — After all, Dr. Malone discovered how mRNA can be “packaged” into a lipid nanoparticle. And why does it appear that Judge Murphy has a “particular axe to grind” regarding (then)-ACIP member Dr. Retsef Levi?

Back to the Bobbie Anne Cox article. It appears the Judge Murphy was doing all he could to find ways to “legislate from the bench.” Please see below, from Ms. Cox’s article:

Regarding the last point, about the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) having no standing: Guess what? The AAP gets large donations from Big Pharma entities, such as, Pfizer, Moderna, and, Seqirus. The AAP is completely compromised and should never have been a party to this (bogus) lawsuit in the first place. Please see: https://www.aap.org/en/ways-to-give/current-corporate-and-organizational-supporters/, from 10 October 2025:

The AAP is a direct beneficiary of Big Pharma. AAP pediatrician members make significant amounts of income from “vaccinating” children with products manufactured by the Big Pharma entities that give large amounts of money to the AAP. See how the cycle works?

If, as Attorney Cox states, the Murphy “ruling” can be overturned in court, why did HHS apparently choose NOT to fight the “ruling”, opting instead to “reconstitute” the ACIP group? Please see: https://imahealth.substack.com/cp/191534018, “Breaking News: Chairman Milhoan Confirms that ACIP Disbanded in Response to Federal Court Ruling: Sources Indicate Administration Opts to Reconstitute ACIP Rather Than Appeal”, 16 March 2026. A screenshot from this article is below:

In addition, pediatricians receive “financial incentives” from Big Pharma companies and from insurance companies via programs to ensure that children are “vaccinated.” This, despite the denials and “fact-checking” by media and by organizations such as the AAP about such “incentive payments.” In fact, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has initiated an investigation into these payments given to pediatricians in his state. Please see: https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/news/releases/attorney-general-ken-paxton-launches-wide-sweeping-investigation-unlawful-financial-incentives, “Attorney General Ken Paxton Launches Wide-Sweeping Investigation into Unlawful Financial Incentives Related to Childhood Vaccine Recommendations”, 21 January 2026. Please see the screenshot, below, from this article:

There is yet another aspect to the Murphy “ruling” situation: A combination of conflicting statements, apparent miscommunications, and what appears to be personnel from the Oval Office “taking a more active role” in HHS activities. Please see: https://www.fiercepharma.com/pharma/acip-members-miscommunication-vaccine-panels-future-adds-confusion-after-earlier-upset-court, “ACIP member’s miscommunication on vaccine panel’s future adds to confusion about ruling”, 20 March 2026, Fraiser Kansteiner. Please see the screenshots from this article, below:

Note that Yours Truly used the phrase, “appears to be personnel from the Oval Office” related to the HHS situation — the Wall Street Journal cites “unnamed sources.” However, what can be said, with a fair amount of accuracy, is that the HHS (and its CDC and FDA and NIH and NIAID divisions) have been roiling due to the attempts of HHS Sec. Kennedy, Jr., to curtail / stop, the “good old days” in the department. The “good old days” when drugs and “vaccines” were granted EUAs or Full Approval without proper full testing and data analysis; when the CDC “recommended” more and more “vaccines” for children from birth to age 18; when the FDA granted EUAs and Full Approvals for drugs and biologics that were clearly dangerous to patients (VIOXX [pain reliever]; and, Aduhelm [Alzheimer’s disease drug] are cases in point.) What can be said, with a fair amount of accuracy, is that Gain-of-Function experiments in the United States are still being funded by NIH, even though a “ban” on such experiments and funding was declared in 2025 — and, in addition, such experiments are also being conducted by other agencies within the federal government; as, for example, the H5N1 Avian Influenza experiments being conducted at the USDA Southeast Poultry Division facility in Georgia (https://jonfleetwood.substack.com/p/trump-admin-keeps-ties-to-who-influenza, “Trump Admin Keeps Ties to WHO Influenza System as U.S. Funds Bird Flu Gain-of-Function and Mass Vaccine Programs”, 24 January 2026.)

The following are the opinions of Yours Truly:

What the situation is today: Big Pharma, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Federal Judiciary, are in control of the Department of Health and Human Services. What the situation is today: HHS has opted to “reconstitute” the ACIP group, instead of fighting the Murphy “ruling” in court — in effect, acquiescing to the “ruling.” This acquiescing “kicks the door off the hinges” for any Federal Judge to stop / stay / delay, any directive, recommendation, committee, or activity of that committee, of the HHS, CDC, or FDA.

What the situation is today: Millions of children, from birth to age 18, are at risk for complications of all kinds induced by the multitude of “vaccines” that they are “recommended” to get according to the old CDC Childhood Immunizations Schedules.

What the situation is today: By HHS Sec. Kennedy, Jr., focusing on creating a new “food pyramid chart”, along with other “side-bar” programs — which, of themselves, are worthy — but not as important as focusing on completely rooting out any influence of Big Pharma and Establishment Medicine at HHS, he has allowed these entities to manipulate the Federal Judiciary into neutering the entire agency. By HHS Sec. Kennedy, Jr., focusing on other programs, he is NOT doing anything substantive regarding completely STOPPING the use of COVID-19 “vaccines” in the United States — arguably, the most dangerous, deadly, and poisonous products ever designed. By HHS Sec. Kennedy, Jr., focusing on other programs, he is NOT doing anything substantive regarding bringing those to account for their roles in creating the COVID-19 virus itself, or the COVID-19 “vaccines.”

What the situation is today: Is is more important then ever for all persons (including parents of children from birth up to age 18) to take charge of their health. To question the “why” behind a “recommendation” by a healthcare professional regarding taking any “vaccine”, let alone any drug. To refuse to take any “vaccine”, or to have any “vaccine” put into their children, that the patient (or patient’s parents) do not approve. To fight to have “vaccine liberty” from school boards, employers, and insurance companies that request “compliance” with “recommendations” or “mandates” for “vaccination.”

What the situation is today: Since Big Pharma, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Federal Judiciary are now in control of the Department of Health and Human Services — it is now the responsibility of HHS Sec. Kennedy, Jr., to stop this situation; or, for the current Administration to find someone who will.

What the situation is today: An example of the new “power base” that is in control of HHS / CDC / FDA: Pfizer-BioNTech wants the FDA to approve the company’s new Lyme disease “vaccine” (which appears to be mRNA-based) that it is developing with a French company, Valneva. The “vaccine candidate” is called VLA15. This, despite the fact that the Phase 3 clinical trial for VLA15 did NOT meet its primary outcome goal — which goal was to demonstrate effectiveness. This, despite the fact that the CDC has NOT YET “reconstituted” the ACIP group, which group is SUPPOSED TO RECOMMEND new “vaccines” for authorization or for approval by the FDA. If the FDA does not bow to Pfizer-BioNTech’s request to approve VLA15, what is to stop the company from suing the FDA and, via a Federal Judge (for example, Judge Brian E. Murphy), forcing the agency to approve the “vaccine?” Please see: https://tdefender.substack.com/cp/1921132650, “Pfizer Wants FDA to Approve Its Vaccine for Lyme Disease — But Does It Have a Shot?”, Brenda Baletti, PhD, 25 March 2026.

THERE IS NO PLACE IN THE HUMAN BODY FOR AN mRNA, A modRNA, AN saRNA, OR A taRNA PRODUCT OF ANY KIND, IN ANY FORM.

THERE MUST, FIRST, BE MUCH MORE RESEARCH PERFORMED ON THESE TECHNOLOGIES AND PLATFORMS.

THERE MUST BE, SECOND, EXTENSIVE TESTING OF PRODUCTS USING THESE TECHNOLOGIES AND PLATFORMS, WITH COMPLETE ANALYSES OF SAFETY AND EFFICACY DATA.

Dear MAGA: 20260326 ✾ Thank God ± Theistic Evolution ∈ Thursday Open Topic

This man, making Christmas calls from the White House, believes the world is a sphere. And he has even flown around it! So has our beautiful FLOTUS, who happens to be his wife!

Truth and common sense must be valued by us, as individuals, in order to lastingly disempower the authoritarian fake news media. This includes the perniciously smarmy science media, which never answers for its errors and lies. I believe that the media has been responsible not only for leftist pathologies like scientism, medical fascism, and radical gender ideology, but also for reactionary movements like modern flat Earth, rejection of all medicine, and Biblical geological literalism.

Just as Wheatie’s Stormwatch Monday Open Thread was created as a place for people to openly express their thoughts and opinions, so, too, is this Thank God Thursday Open Thread, where honest but civil discussion of all topics is encouraged. This thread is also to be known as Theistic Evolution Thursdays, due to the author’s expected “pontification” about his scientific, religious, and political opinions. You are welcome to pontificate back! Free speech matters!

Please label all AI-generated content as being such, unless it is patently obvious (e.g., humorous AI images). It is important that we as individuals not begin to pretend that socially derived artificial intelligence is actually our own, as this form of stealthy social information averaging and feedback would be one more pretense and deception between people, in service of stupid Marxist socialism, and of those who wish to substitute their communally protected lies for actual truth.

The source of alleged truth matters, not for the truth itself, but for validation.

And yes, it’s THURSDAY…again.

And that’s it. We’re done stealing from Wheatie.

OK – maybe her rules need to be posted.

Or just skip it all, if you don’t want to be exposed to the propaganda.

(4) Sometimes the whole “fusion energy” thing seems somewhat unrealistic – especially with the large installations and years of experimentation needed for conventional neutronic fusion reactions. But there is another possibility.

In contrast, the aneutronic hydrogen-boron (P-11B and D-10B) fusion reactions, which are being pursued by TAE (the partners of Trump’s media company) are moving steadily toward reality. In my opinion, it’s becoming a bit of a “Wright brothers” scenario.

Scientists Tested the Dead Sea Scrolls’ DNA — The Animal Skins Revealed Who Really [Might Have] Wrote Them (16 minutes)

The scrolls are not from one area. Most are goat skin and likely local. However some are sheepskin and the area would not support the grass needed to raise sheep. Most important, 2 fragments studied are cow skin indicating a third area.

The Hypothesis is these were scrolls hastily hidden [as indicated by the rough handling] because of Roman retaliation against the Jewish Revolt in 66 of the Common Era. Some (the sheepskin) may have been rescued from the burning of the Second Temple.

As most of you know, I worked as a chemist. However I really like archaeology and even took courses in the subject. But as the Egyptologist Barbara Mertz, who wrote mysteries under the name Elizabeth Peters, and David Ian Howe, who now is a podcaster, found out, it is really tough to get a job in that field. So I settled for chemistry because I wanted to eat.

I was watching this video and realized it had a more important lesson to teach than whether or not Monte Verde is a Pre-Clovis site. It teaches a lesson about REAL Science and TRUE scientists.

Dr. Todd Surovell, professor of anthropology at the University of Wyoming, who is being interviewed by his former student David Howe, is a sterling example of what a REAL SCIENTIST IS! He is unlike Mikey Mann of Hockey Stick fame or Ancel Keys and his landmark Seven Countries Study on cholesterol, both of whom came up with an hypothesis and then cherry-picked the data that supported it. Since both conclusions were useful to the Cabal, any attempt to refute them was shot down.

On top of that, this is just such a refreshing interview. No theatrics, just a discussion between two experts complete with good illustrations and photographs.

Monte Verde is no longer a Pre-Clovis site (50 minutes)

For decades, Monte Verde in southern Chile has been one of the most famous archaeological sites in the Americas. The site was widely accepted as 14,500 years old, making it one of the strongest pieces of evidence for human presence in the Americas before Clovis. But what if that interpretation was wrong? In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Todd Surovell, professor of anthropology at the University of Wyoming, to discuss new research that re-examines Monte Verde using modern geoarchaeological methods. The results suggest that the famous site may actually be much younger than previously believed, dating to the Holocene rather than the Ice Age. If true, this would mean that Monte Verde is not evidence for pre-Clovis humans in South America, and it could force archaeologists to reconsider one of the most influential discoveries in American archaeology.

Actual Paper:

A mid-Holocene age for Monte Verde challenges the timeline of human colonization of South America

A new tool I was not aware of before. It was developed in 1984 by David J. Huntley and colleagues.

optically stimulated luminescence

Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) is a scientific technique used to determine the last time mineral grains were exposed to light, providing valuable dating information for geological and archaeological studies. By measuring the amount of luminescence emitted from minerals such as quartz or feldspar when stimulated with light, scientists can estimate the time elapsed since the grains were last exposed to sunlight or heat. OSL dating is an effective method for reconstructing the chronology of sedimentary deposits, making it a crucial tool for understanding Earth’s historical events.

A second tool used was Radiocarbon dating on organic material. And the clincher was a well known volcanic ash layer, “the Lepué Tephra, a regional stratigraphic marker dated to 11,000 years B.P.”

A rebuttal

Monte Verde, one of the earliest Indigenous sites in South America, is much younger than thought, study claims. But others call it ‘egregiously poor geological work.’ | Live Science

In a study published Thursday (March 19) in the journal Science, an international group of researchers led by Todd Surovell, an archaeologist at the University of Wyoming, reevaluated the age and formation of MV-II. They concluded that Monte Verde was most likely occupied in the Middle Holocene, around 4,200 to 8,200 years ago…

Dr. Todd Surovell, and  Claudio Latorre, a paleoecologist at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile,  visited Monte Verde in 2023….

Monte Verde is key to the Kelp Highway Hypothesis

…proposes that the first Americans reached the New World by following the coastline along Beringia and into the American continents, using edible seaweeds as a food resource…

Revising Clovis First
For the better part of a century, the main theory of human population of the Americas was that Clovis big game hunters came into North America at the end of the Pleistocene along an ice-free corridor between ice sheets in Canada, about 10,000 years ago.

The alternate, earlier Clovis hypothesis: Is the Ice-Free Corridor an Early Pathway into Americas?

PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT

10 minutes — David Howe:

I don’t really see any good evidence for pre-Clovis in the Americas except in eastern Bruna in Alaska where the evidence is very clear there are sites older than Clovis something that I’ve mentioned often on this channel. Too when the subject of pre -Clovis is brought up, I often find pre-Clovis sites objectively to be very ephemeral and scant.

You can look at a Paleolithic site in France, a Paleolithic site in Siberia, a Paleolithic site in the Levant and see very stratified and defined tool assemblages, very defined technologies and very distinct cultures. And with that, following the Paleolithic tradition of sites in the old world, Clovis sites in North America often look very similar to that. They’re stratified. There’s defined tool cultures and it is a distinct culture that you can see that is kind of ubiquitous across North America and parts of South America. So with all that laid out, I asked Todd here, do you agree that pre-Clovis seems a lot more ephemeral usually and Clovis seems to be more sound?

Todd:

I would say pre-Clovis, the record of Pre-Clovis in the continental United States is very different than the record of Clovis and the record of everything that follows Clovis. So in many ways, we could just start with abundance. Yeah, there’s lots of Clovis sites. There’s thousands of Clovis projectile points. Tons of buried excavated Clovis sites. There are dozens of them. And they date in a very, very consistent time period. They’re found across the continent. And they look like normal archaeological sites produced by hunter gatherers, meaning they have chip stone, a lot of flakes, they have hearth features, they’re stratographically discreet, meaning identified components. We have human remains from those time periods. You have things like bison bone beds in the Clovis time period and from there on after.

Pre-Clovis is different. Every pre-Clovis site is a little different. Some of them have artifacts that look a lot like they could have been produced by nature and only those kinds of artifacts or cut marks on bone or other kind of bone modifications that possibly could have been produced by nature. Other ones look like maybe artifacts have moved down from younger deposits into older sediments giving the appearance of the sites being older than they actually are. In some of them there’s no artifacts, but other things like footprints at White Sands or at Paisley Caves in Oregon, there’s very few artifacts. There’s a lot of artifacts above the pre-Clovis in the Clovis. In the pre-Clovis the arguments are based on copillates, fossil feces that are argued to be human, cut marks on bone, but not the typical things we get in in hunter-gatherer archaeological sites. So yeah, it’s different. Pre-Clovis looks different.

[The argument by the pro Pre-clovis scientists is that the sites were along the coast and therefore under water. – GC]

19 minutes – Just before Covid, Todd became ‘obsessed’ with the ‘seaweed’ at Monte Verde. If it was there then it was a strong indication that humans were too. He wondered if the ‘seaweed’ was correctly identifed and came up with a chemical test to prove the specimens actually were seaweed. He reached out to Chilean Claudio Latorre to help with this project. And then they reached out to Tom Dillehay, to ask him if he wanted to collaborate on it. And Tom’s answer was that’s impossible because the seaweed burned up in a fire. It’s long gone. Nice idea, but it’s just not possible. “That was a bummer but Claudio and I were undeterred.” [HOW CONVENIENT -GC]

34:10 Howe:

… those two red arrows should technically sit below that Lepué Tephra  layer, but it doesn’t. The [volcanic 11,000-year-old Lepué ] tephra layer is found above it at Monte Verde. So that means that all that brown stuff there in the middle with that little piece of water means that sometime between 8,000 and 4,000 years ago, that stuff was washed down the creek and put into that spot where Dillehay, originally excavated Monte Verde. So therefore, Monte Verde is not 14,500 years old. It is only 11,000 years old or younger. So, as I mentioned with the carbon dating stuff earlier, the wood was carbon dated to be 6,000 years older than the last time that soil was exposed to sunlight. It’s all muddled from down the creek and put there. Likewise with the gomphotheres and the extinct camels. Those are ice age animals. They were washed from up creek down and deposited onto this site in the cut bank there where Monte Verde was found.

So therefore, it’s just a bunch of stuff washed from up the creek down onto where Monte Verde was. So that means at the time when Tom Dillehay, [an archaeologist at Vanderbilt University — GC] excavated the site, it did look ice age in nature. It had ice age animals. It had ice age deposits and things like that. But we know now with the volcanic ash dating that it can’t be any older than 11,000 years old. And that means that those [arrow & spear – GC] points I talked about too, that Dillehay claims to be Paleo-indian or ice age in typology, are not. They’re actually, as they do look, very similar to Holocene and other archaic era points in the area. [They] were washed down the creek and put on top at the site here. Their mixed context with those ice age animals. So, it would make sense that you would excavate it at the time and see it as an ice age site, but it’s not.

Doing fieldwork in Mongolia (Photo: Todd Surovell)

My work in Mongolia (Dukha Ethnoarchaeological Project) stems from work at the Barger Gulch site, a Folsom site in Middle Park, Colorado – this site was spectacular. The site was shallowly buried so we were able to open up big areas to look at space. This site really grabbed my attention. Because it was shallowly buried and we saw big clusters (of artifacts) over a large area, we really saw the opportunity to look at questions that hadn’t been explored a lot in Paleoindian archaeology… What I found was that people have developed models of how houses were used but they are very generalized. That further inspired me in this really simple idea of wanting to go and see people living a lifestyle similar to this and map them… LINK

[So Todd was very familiar with Folsom points among others. — GC]

Howe:

As well, we mentioned that twine and the stuff that was tied around the tent stakes that if it is twine that was tied around the tent stakes, sure that makes sense if it’s a Holocene era site. If it’s seaweed from a medicine bundle, it was seaweed chewed by people after the ice age, not during. And that twine too. If you see all the wood and the planks and stuff and the twine and the reeds that are up the creek of the site, a lot of that is just washed down the creek and wrapped around that possible tent stake and then fossilized over years becoming and looking like something like a tent stake. It’s either stuff washing down the creek wrapping around that wood or it’s stuff that maybe it was a tent stake and even if it was it doesn’t date to the ice age. It is Holocene in era. What this means here too, and just to reiterate, Monte Verde is no longer solid evidence for people in South America 14,500 years ago. Instead, it does though fit neatly into the middle Holocene era archaeology of Chile and the surrounding areas. It makes sense for that.

As such, the artifacts that I talked about do compare well to other Holocene era sites. So, all that said, this forces a re-evaluation of everything we know about the peopling of the Americas. Yes, other pre-Clovis sites in North America and some in South America might still have some validity, but sites like this, like Monte Verde — this is why intense scrutiny and skepticism when they come out is important. Because things like this can be found in Geo-archaeology. And other different types of sampling can be done to understand that they’re not exactly what they seem, especially when we only see clickbait titles in the news.

Whether or not this reopens the Clovis-first model or makes that the dominant model again, I doubt people will believe that. But it does open the doors to that being a possible claim again. So the bottom line here though, and I wrote this down, Monte Verde artifacts don’t prove Ice Age settlement. They’re from a much younger context. The Ice-free Corridor hypothesis was abandoned because of Monte Verde specifically. So the idea that people were coming across the Bering Land Bridge into the Americas was defunct and a lot of people say that it’s not true anymore because of Monte Verde specifically. However, Monte Verde is not an ice age site at all. Forget it exists. It’s just a later Holocene era site. That stuff might still be true.

So, with everything I just laid out with the methods and the results of this paper, let me just ask Todd, what was your goal with this paper? What were you trying to accomplish?

From: Paleoindian Archaeology, Pleistocene Extinctions and Mongolian Use of Space: An Interview with Dr. Todd Surovell

The University of Alberta Association of Graduate Anthropology Students will be hosting the 24th  Annual Richard Frucht Memorial Lecture Seriesfrom March 2-4, 2016. The distinguished speaker for this year’s conference is Dr. Todd Surovell of the University of Wyoming. I had a chance to interview Dr. Surovell about his research ahead of his upcoming visit to Alberta and he offered some fascinating insights into North American colonization, the extinction of North American megafauna, and his observations of household space use by Mongolian reindeer herders as a means to inform archaeological interpretations…

38:05 — Todd:

What’s my goal? Okay, Let me answer that [in] a couple ways. Yeah. Look, science is the pursuit of truth, right? I just want to know when people arrive in the Americas. It’s kind of a dumb simple question but one that’s vexed us for a long time. So [on] the one hand I want to know and knowing the age of this site helps us to answer that question.

I think there are a couple lessons here.

One, sometimes science gets it wrong but science is a really remarkable self-corrective process. In the long run in my opinion it always gets it right. And in what this study really shows is the value of independent evaluation or independent replication.

You know that in laboratory science that’s normal. You do some experiment on a bench in your lab. You write up the methods. Anybody else with a lab bench and that equipment and those materials can do the same experiment and replicate (or not) your results.

In archaeology, we are really bad at this. We’re really bad at allowing this. There’s a culture of ownership of sites, of ownership of collections that tends to prevent this kind of work, right? And again, I’m not even saying we’re right. All I’m saying is when we did try to do an independent replication, we failed and we came up with another story. Our work also should be subject to the same process. Other people should go in and do it. But in general, when you’re making extreme claims that are paradigm changing, those especially should be subject to independent verification. That is not what happened in 1997. Those people were not allowed to collect samples anywhere they want. They were not allowed to do excavations. They were not given unfettered access to the collections.

That’s the case at many pre-Clovis sites. And I really think we need to change the culture of archaeology. And this [Monte Verde — GC] is an excellent example of this. Maybe this is not the right parallel to make, but I’m sure you’re familiar with the case of Piltdown Man, right? It was supposed to change the story of human evolution, and was supposed to be the missing link between apes and humans. Turns out the whole thing was a forgery. You know why it took something like 40 years to figure that out? Because the scientists at the Natural History Museum in London who controlled the specimen would not allow access to it. And it wasn’t until he [Probably Sir Arthur Smith Woodward — GC] passed away that scientists got access to it and very quickly it was discovered the entire thing was a fake.

I’m not saying Monte Verde is a fake, but what I am saying is that when you put sites and collections under lock and key and prevent independent evaluation, it slows the progress of science, you know? So to me, like that’s the most important lesson out of this. Yeah, Monte Verde may not be as revolutionary as we thought it was, but it really should be a lesson to our discipline. It’s time to change how we do things.

41:18 — Howe:

It seems to me like a lot of pre-Clovis sites and things like that, even if there’s a piece of evidence, say its debitage, a bone, or something ephemeral, it always gets eaten up and swallowed by mainstream media. And I’ve seen like Sain was on ESPN news. I was saying that was really like a banner at the bottom unless I’m in a picture of it. But like Sain for example or Topper comes to CNN and then it [has] archaeologists baffled. Monte Verde was a site like this. So for people that are going to watch this video of me interviewing you here. Coming to be like well that can’t be true like Monte Verde is the site that makes like what? Do you see where I’m going with that?

41:40 –Todd:

I do. Yeah.

Look I told you in 1994 Tom Dillehay gave an incredibly compelling talk to me about Monte Verde that inspired my entire career. 30 years later, I decided he was wrong. Whether you think I’m right or wrong, I encourage you to figure out a way to evaluate what I’m saying. Right? You know, become an archaeologist. You can look at the data we’ve published. You can look at that and you can evaluate it yourself. You can look at all the data that has been published on Monte Verde, there’s a huge amount, and become an archaeologist. Get a permit, collect your own samples. I encourage that. I have no ownership of this, nor do I want any. Please test everything we’ve done. That’s the simple answer. Okay.

But what I want to say when you mentioned like Sain showing up on ESPN, the ESPN crawl or whatever about how all these sites are splashed across the pages of the New York Times and there, you know, they make the nightly news and things like that. In my experience, when scientific claims reach that level of publicity, they’re usually Bull Schiff. I’m not saying they’re always. Certainly, groundbreaking discoveries do happen. But let me put it to you this way. In terms of like thinking about finding the oldest site in the Americas, we’ve been looking now for a long damn time. You know, if we talk about since Folsom, nearly 100 years, but we were looking long before that. So, let’s say we’ve been looking for the oldest site for 150 years. In that process, we’ve investigated, I would say somewhere between 50 and 100 thousand sites.

It seems like with a sample of that size, you ought to be pretty close to the damn answer, right? And that you really shouldn’t expect something to come along that’s just going to blow everything out of the water that’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen. It’s just incredibly unlikely at this point. It was likely in 1928 and it sure happened then, but it’s really not likely anymore. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but it’s really, really unlikely. So, when you see these really extreme claims, your first position should be skepticism. I’m not saying disbelief. I’m saying skepticism.

44:00 – Howe:

Sure.

If you’re familiar with my channel, you know I don’t often talk about this. It’s not really in my wheelhouse. It’s not really something I like talking about, but it’s just something that I think is important to mention here. Monte Verde is something I see discussed all the time among pseudo-archchaeologists. But not just pseudo-archchaeologists but advocational archaeologists, alternative archaeologists, alternative historians, people on the internet, people in my comment sections like you will point out that Monte Verde is the smoking gun that establishes Clovis-first as gone or negates the Bering Land Bridge theory and all that. So, I asked Todd here as an establishment Clovis-first, Clovis mafia archaeologist, why should these people listen to you and why is this research important for them to take into their understanding even if they don’t agree with it? Anything else you want to say to that?

Todd:

I guess to the Hancock people.

I’m not super educated about the Hancock stuff, but I saw the part I guess in the discussion with Flint Dibble where he says there’s still people questioning whether Clovis is first and that’s been settled for a long time. [Response to Joe Rogan Experience #2136 -Graham Hancock & Flint Dibble From Powerful JRE in the comments –GC]

Look, if you read the popular accounts, the Wikipedia pages, the archaeology textbooks, seems like it’s been settled for a long time. I will tell you being a professional working in this discipline, this is my specialty. And there are a lot of us who have long felt it hasn’t been settled. Talking to the people with true expertise people who really dig sites of this age. People who go and look for them, this has not [been] settled. It isn’t, and I can show you example after example from the scientific literature, legit stuff published before Monte Verde and since Monte Verde making arguments that Clovis-first is still very much alive and well. And by the way, for really good reason because the vast majority of evidence supports it. There’s just these weird little anomalous things that don’t.

I don’t know what to say about Hancock. I hope criticizing me becomes a standard part of his discussion now. I don’t mind that at all.

46:20 – Howe

So, with everything we just laid out, this will obviously cause a firestorm in the news and at least if not the news, the archaeological community and might send shock waves to be honest. So with all that said, I asked Todd, can you speak to that? And why are you in the news? And why should people listen to you?

46:30 — Todd

A major field of science got it wrong for a quarter century. Not only got it wrong, but was pretty convinced they had it right. This was almost portrayed to be unquestionable fact of science and we got it wrong. So, I think have a skeptical mind. Don’t believe experts. I am one. So, I understand the irony there, but have a skeptical mind.

47:05 — Howe

With all of that said, I’ll give you my opinion based on what I’ve seen here and the stuff in these graphs and the stuff in the pictures and all the excavations and all the sampling work I saw that Todd showed me. It does seem that Monte Verde is no longer a viable pre-Clovis site. However, as Todd said, [we will] leave that up to you. That is up to you to determine if you want to replicate this again. If you want to do the sampling and the site stuff, become an archaeologist, test it out yourself, see what you think.

And hopefully, as I said with most stuff, and I say this with every huge article that comes out, and as Todd pointed out, this stuff can be clickbait, huge headline, first people’s dates pushed back stuff is often because a few weeks later or a few months later, a rebuttal will come out that says the complete opposite. But the rebuttal, of course, doesn’t get the media attention and the clicks that it deserves, because the other stuff is more sensationalized. And I get that. My whole career works off of making clickbait titles. You probably clicked on this video for that same thing. So, we’re all guilty of it. It’s just kind of how the world works.

But when you look at the science and you see the science that’s packed into this stuff, make your own decisions. And I hope that you read. I hope that you take into consideration the stuff that Todd said, take into consideration stuff that you know about the People [of] Americas already and form your own opinion like I have now.

… And if you have comments, questions, or concerns, please, please put them in the comment section. I’ll send them to Todd for him to look at or he can look them up on my YouTube channel if he wants to. If you want to contact Dr. Todd Surovell, he is a professor of anthropology at the University of Wyoming and you can find his contact information there and I’ll put it in the description.

So, with all that, thank you very much for watching. Please leave those questions and comments in there. And if you have questions about other Clovis sites or other pre-Clovis sites that you think might be possibly incorrect or false or misleading, put those in the comments and let us know. Thank you very much.

2026.03.24 Daily Thread: The World According To Trade(Bait)

Slow Guy is ahead of the game. 😀

Posts from 3/21 Daily Thread:

“Along those lines, I offer another big revelation.

Lloyd’s, London, England…manipulating the world.

  • THIS will end.”

And…

“100%. In the very short-term, Lloyd’s will deliver the insurance.

Then American capitalism will, take over the market. T A W.

Yup. I am just surprised more have not figured it and the bigger picture out yet.

Game over, redcoats.

It’s about America, Inc.

When a world leader is an elite businessman and deal maker, most paradigms will change. Historical context becomes limited in value except when dealing with detractors, seditionists, etc. such as the hurdles caused by the Uniparty and SCOTUS. However, there are historical processes that actually have worked successfully in the past such as tariffs that can be brought forward to orchestrate a paradigm shift.

President Trump told everybody as #45 that peace would come from being successful. He believes in the same thing I have been posting from my own life experiences – abundance over scarcity. It is a Biblical concept that has been proven true forever. You will find good, white hats, love, acceptance, peace, security, prosperity and so on – success – from sharing within the abundance approach. God provided for everybody. More than we ever dreamed possible is sitting right at our figurative feet. Satan, his demons and all of the black hats sell scarcity. They want people to believe there is only so much. They then go about taking all of it they can by whatever means they need to use. That promotes feelings of insecurity and impotence, which makes their looting even easier.

Explain what you see from the Democrat Party any other way. They are after power and money at all costs. Screw everybody and anything else.

That is until they breathe their last breaths.

We have arrived at our nation’s inflection point. Definition – “A moment of dramatic change, especially in the development of a company, industry, or market.” Except in this context it is a nation and world inflection point.

#47 has been taking America and its allies back to the big time growth stage of the life cycle. Some are being forced while kicking and screaming like spoiled brats. America was in a major decline stage. So many Americans were in that same sad condition as many Europeans.

Think Bell Curve – left to right. Emerging, Growth, Maturity, Decline (Dead Dog – hence “we were a dead country and now we are the hottest” comments from #47).

Life Cycle

#47 is taking us from a deep dive on the right back to about mid point of the trajectory up on the left. When radical moves like that are made, which we voted for, it requires radical change to build the foundation for the growth that is to come. We pushed the button, #47 implemented the America First master plan. All of it is well underway today. The top of the curve is the sweet spot for the elimination of all national debt. At that point, we will be loaded and flush with funds just as this country was in the later quarter of the 19th century. We the People receive the ultimate benefits, but the rest of the world that plays along also greatly benefits.

Forward Prediction

The world as we know it will be about regional polarity. Donroe is for our hemisphere – our sphere of influence and leadership. Europe gets to slug out theirs with Russia. China and India take Asia and the pacific rim other than Japan, Philippines, etc. Our ancestors bled out too much to walk away from them and their strategic value. We will always counter balance aggression with strategic alliances throughout the world including Africa.

As an example, Australia and NZ have been cozying up with China for quite some time. NZ is the desired escape destination for many wealthy leftists, who are in China’s pocket as we know. As a result Five Eyes should die along with the move away from propping up NATO.

The other major world leaders will not be hostile enemies in this scenario. However, they will be in the ‘verify before trusting’ category. Our resources will be reserved for our interests and not be given and thrown away as they have for over a century. BRICS will become unnecessary now that the globalists are being vanquished. The world economy will implement blockchain. As long as adequate, preventive capabilities and provisions are implemented against hacking, it creates a level playing field worldwide. It eliminates intermediaries. It also destroys the central banks of the world’s power and control. If the downside risks from electronic/digital criminal activities are addressed, the exchanges can take place in nanoseconds worldwide as well as be based on agreed worldwide exchange standards whether that may be gold, silver, oil, whatever.

It is easy to see a future where peace and productivity are greatly rewarded instead of penalized by taxes, government/NGO graft and fraud, and forever wars.

Abundance is win-win. Win-lose is scarcity. Choose life, not death. Choose abundance.

We continue to fight, fight, fight. Do not get weary, the effort will be worth it.

Remember Wolf’s site rules. Note and label all AI. Please be kind to one another, we are all in this together. May God richly bless America and all of you.

Before all things and people – In God We Trust. Also, trust Trump and the plan.

Dear KMAG: 20260323 Trump Won Three Times ❀ Open Topic

Joe Biden never won. This is our Real President – 45, 46, 47.

AND our beautiful REALFLOTUS.

This Stormwatch Monday Open Thread remains open – VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA/KAG/KMAG world (with KMAG being a bit of both).

And yes, it’s Monday…again.

But we WILL get through it!

We will always remember Wheatie,

Pray for Trump,

Yet have fun,

and HOLD ON when things get crazy!

We will follow the RULES of civility that Wheatie left for us:

Wheatie’s Rules:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

And while we engage in vigorous free speech, we will remember Wheatie’s advice on civility, non-violence, and site unity:

“We’re on the same side here so let’s not engage in friendly fire.”

“Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven that Wolf has created for us.”

If this site gets shut down, please remember various ways to get back in touch with the rest of the gang:

Our beloved country is under Occupation by hostile forces.

Daily outrage and epic phuckery abound.

We can give in to despair…or we can be defiant and fight back in any way that we can.

Joe Biden didn’t win.

And we will keep saying Joe Biden didn’t win until we get His Fraudulency out of our White House.
