What is all the fuss about? It does not matter if it was Noem or is Mullin leading DHS, the laws and rules remain the same. Should there be any surprises in anything Homeland Security and ICE are doing by enforcing long established laws approved by Congress and signed into law by the POTUS over decades? According to the leftists, criminals, propagandists and sheeple idgits these patriots enforcing the laws are fascists, Nazi Gestapo, KKK, and worse. That KKK description is a boomerang back on them, but they are too dumb to know it. The fake media joins in to create more chaos by telling outright lies and disinformation to clueless citizens who believe what they say. The uniparty claims it is all unconstitutional, just like their claims about the Iran war. But, is any of the protesting true?
We do not have to guess or take a media or any politician’s word for immigration laws or policies. Every American citizen as well as every person in the world with a computer and internet access can discover for themselves. How? The Federal Register is one primary source that helps as does the Homeland Security and ICE websites. Below is the FR relating to ICE related immigration notices and regulations.

So let’s go with an easy, recent notice issued on 9/8/25. How many of you were aware that for every illegal caught or ordered to be removed in absentia that the subject invader is ordered to pay $5 K to the federal government? Some will say, so what, they will not or cannot pay it. Well, that is not exactly correct. It means the feds can go after all assets, garnishee any pay, connect dots back to employers and known associates, and so on in pursuit of this fee. If convicted of a crime or ruled to be deported for illegal entry the subject also forfeits all of their remaining assets. The pursuit of those assets by authorities reveals more illegals as well as those that harbor, supply and employ them.
You did not have to hear or read that from another source, you could read it for yourself and then think it through. But there is more that is interconnected and will also stand the test of legal challenges.
Here is another one from 8/28/25 that was a proposed rule.
Unlike most nonimmigrant classifications, which are admitted for a fixed time period, aliens in the F (academic student), J (exchange visitor), and most I (representatives of foreign information media) classifications, with limited exceptions, are currently admitted into the United States for the period of time that they are complying with the terms and conditions of their nonimmigrant classification (“duration of status”). The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) proposes to amend its regulations by changing the admission period in the F, J, and I classifications from duration of status to an admission for a fixed time period.
If incorporated and you think this one through, it eliminates the perpetual foreign invader who operates under the guise of student/exchange visitor/foreign media/etc. authorization. There is a fixed leave date. To stay they have to reapply and be vetted all over again. This time, not by Demoncraps as long as the patriots remain in power.
No more spies, operatives and such being here for decades as under the previous rules. For a recent example, like a supposed former student from Portugal who remained embedded in America for over two decades. He returned some 25 years later to Brown University where he had spent less than a year in school, to murder two and wound nine students of a more conservative persuasion in a study class. He then proceeded to execute a former Portugal classmate who was a renowned MIT physicist involved in advanced fusion research and development in a different location. The latter hit was probably the real assignment of the assassin, of course.
Whether the assassin was MK’d or programmed in some other way, the weirdness and random nature of his actions over years strongly increases the odds that it was a hit job on the MIT professor acquaintance and the Brown situation was a false flag to deflect from the intended mission. You know, like the Las Vegas massacre. There was little doubt of how it all would end, because this lone wolf was destined to shoot himself in the head in a warehouse in another state. With the DHS rule change discussed above, that assassin would have been exited by patriots from America many years before the horrendous events as will future lone wolves using that immigration cheat code. Nearly always there is a simple answer to a manufactured complex issue or problem. Remember, criminals and unipartyists always use obfuscation in their methodology because they know a large number of less in formed and gullible Americans will believe their BS.

5th Circuit Court Of Appeals
A true judicial bombshell landed, not the grandstanding media type. It obliterated its target – leftist attorneys, judges and politicians who try to circumvent immigration laws. If challenged on the SCOTUS level I predict it will be upheld, if they agree to hear it at all. The legal basis for the decision is solid and reflects the original intent. Especially after the SCOTUS just ruled 9-0 on another case that immigration judges are the path for all asylum claims.
After reading the order I concur with the follow message, which could be addressed to illegal or wannabe immigrants as well as patriots:
“This decision is massively important – one of the most important of the year. It means that if you are an illegal alien who never presented themselves at a port of entry, and ICE finds you, you can and must be detained without bail.
The knock on effects from this will be enormous. Prior to this – if you were caught as an illegal alien and put in removal proceedings, you were entitled to bail while your lawyers string things along. You could stay out of jail for months – even years – and keep doing what you were doing in our country. No more.
Now – if you crossed illegally and ICE finds you, you’re done. You’re not walking American streets freely again unless you prevail in your removal proceeding (which is supremely unlikely). You won’t be able to go to your apartment and grab your things. You are simply done. You can either accept deportation or sit in immigration detention while your lawyer wastes their time on futile filings, and then get deported when you lose.
This will lead to a lot more illegal aliens simply giving up on their frivolous court fights and accepting deportation, which will help relieve the court backlogs. This will also lead to many more illegal aliens self-deporting. Would you rather pack up your things, settle your affairs, and get a free flight and $2500? Or would you rather try and hide from ICE, knowing that the moment they find you, you will never breathe free air in America again?
It’s a much easier choice.

I do believe that the KJV (and KJV-adjacent) translations are more inspired poetry and stir men’s hearts. Ecclesiastes is probably my favorite book of the Bible, and yet the NASB version lands with a dull thud and just lies there.
Take a look at Eccl 1:6-7 (KJV)
6 The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.
7 All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
The majestic cycles of nature: the water cycle, the winds…..and, extending the thought, the carbon cycle and the flow of nitrogen…..all should be understood as cycles, as “the sea is not full.”
Compare this to
Lost is the quixotic nature, the sense that the swirling winds and rivers may return to their appointed places in covert ways. Instead of being poetic examples, this phrasing makes the text dry and limiting.
It should be noted that rivers come from springs in popular knowledge of the time. In the KJV, rivers flow to oceans and (somehow) return as springs. In the NASB version, rivers flow to oceans and back to rivers. The NASB quashes the complexity and richness of the KJV text.

NASB has been determined by many Protestant seminary Bible scholars to be the most accurate interpretation.
NASB is considered a word for word translation as opposed to a thought for thought translation. The NIV and most other modern translations are thought for thought. I suppose it depends if a person considers the Bible as each word is inspired or the message is inspired.

The chemical composition of what is being heated by the sun CAN change. There are many differences between carbon that is buried as either carbonate rock (oxidized) or reduced carbon (coal, petroleum) vs. having it in the above-ground carbon cycle (plants and CO2). My objection to the climate hoax is the idea that we understand this enough to make only beneficial changes to our behavior by all sorts of obviously hare-brained ideas. Our plants are in a kind of carbon starvation already. Near-term ice ages may be more detrimental to humanity and life in general, than long-term warming.
IMO we need to understand the problems better, and the trade-off in being lax about CO2 levels to quickly advance energy technology to “post-carbon” is well worth the trade-off – particularly if increased CO2 levels and plant life mean less chance or delay of the next ice age, since ice ages are very destructive of life and likely risky to civilization.
Politically manipulated activist judges should not be deciding these issues. Congress needs to be doing that job, based on what WE think, based on science which is largely funded BY WE THE PEOPLE.

While Ben Carson opposes the idea of having a Muslim for president, Sam Adams would have opposed toleration for the Muslim faith in general.”

Every year, we here in western WA state have an unclaimed vets run on Memorial Day weekend.
Started out with mostly motorcycles but now is a mixture of all vehicles.
Begins with a ceremony at the Kitsap County Coroners Office. Then all the unclaimed remains of military vets over the past year are loaded onto a loaned SUV from a local car dealer. That is the lead car and it is followed by as many cars as want to join. One year we hit 400+ cars all in a row – the longest funeral procession I’ve ever seen.
The line proceeds onto SR3 to SR16. Off duty motorcycle cops provide escort. From SR16, the line crosses the Narrows bridge and merges with I-5 until it gets to SR18 which is the last leg of the trip to the destination – the military cemetery at Covington WA.
Total distance – over 40 miles.
And every bridge along the route has many people waving American flags at honking drivers below. Once there were a half-dozen bikes with riders all standing and saluting us flag wavers. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.
And as far as I know it is the only coroners office in the state which does it. 😇

Here’s a bit of a cautionary tale. Hubby & I both set up “doctor’s” visits so that we could continue to get a “discount” on health insurance through his employer. We had both been seeing the same family practice doc for some years but he died (suddenly of a likely shot-exacerbated) brain tumor last year. So I went to a fairly shoddy operation that was very local & Michael returned to the old clinic but saw either an NP or a PA. We both had routine blood work done.
There were some areas of concern in Hubby’s blood so he was being referred to a Hematologist for “Monocytosis” while I was told that my labs were “normal”.
Hubby has been feeling poorly for a while, for a few weeks more so of late, so we thought the “low white blood cell” situation might be reflective of that. He ended up staying home one day last week with this heavy fatigue & worked on getting his specialist appointment set up. Ultimately they got him in to “the first available” appointment which is in early July–yikes.
So one of the things he’d been battling of late was some seemingly faulty theology on display at the church where he’s been regularly playing the bass. Add that to the fact that he is now the age that his mom was when she died, of cancer, & she didn’t get the care she needed due to biblical distortions that she clung to, on top of his SAD (seasonal affective disorder) well it kind of all became too much at once.
So, just to try to make sense of what Might be going on with him physically I asked him to pull up his lab reports so we could compare his data over a few years to see if that would shed light on how his body has been doing, per labs, over time.
Well the first thing that leaped out was that the standards on the arenas where his lab reports were “outside of the norms” were different now than they were in his 2024 & 2025 lab reports…hmmm. Could these standards have changed due to age or perhaps were the guidelines “tweaked” for “some reason”.
Color me suspicious cat here…
Two of his numbers that were “out of range” were perfectly in range if one used the standards in place in 2024 & 2025. Other numbers that were slightly outside the norms in years past did Not generate referrals to specialists nor did wider variances in other areas.
So we also reviewed the referral paperwork & it was just listed as “routine”. So what they said to him at the appointment practically put his hair on fire, thinking he could be facing a serious medical condition (& even be a risk of dying young like his mom did) but when we compared the labs from a couple previous years & looked at the trends a number of things were trending better than before & none of the outliers had previously be a concern for specialty care…Maybe seeing a health practitioner who practices Under a doctor is why these mostly lesser lab issues lead to what appears to be an unnecessary referral, like the lower level staff couldn’t look at the trends & take numbers into context so generated a referral for butt coverage purposes…perhaps.
By contrast, we pulled out my “normal” lab report & saw multiple areas that were slightly out of range yet generated no “hair on fire” attitudes from my sub par provider.
I skimmed the narrative report of Michael’s visit & questioned him about the different physical areas that were allegedly evaluated per the verbiage & other than the heart & lungs ALL of the write up was false for they didn’t examine Any of the things that were written about (I guess they assumed all the domains were “normal” & did boilerplate info)…sigh…
One notable area where the labs had significantly changed the standard was the LDL measure. Here are his numbers in that domain (’24, ’25, & ’26) 130, 148, 127. Well the standards for 2024 & 2025 were <130 but in 2026 it was <100. So even though his LDL is better this year than the previous 2, per the new standard they could press him to deal with it, likely to push Statins or similar to “fix” what is likely not even “broken”…grrr!
Bottom line, we dealt with days of stress & upheaval because of labs that were no more out of range, & sometimes less, than prior years, but we had to do the comparative analysis on our own to get that Physician Heal Thyself peace that (almost) passes understanding. I guess, like always, it’s still buyer beware!

IMO, there may be a few things going on regarding the lab results discrepancies and the “recommendations.”
One is the fact that the American Heart Association, the AMA, and other entities, have continued to “consensus lower” the “acceptable range” for things like blood pressure, blood cell counts, etc., over the past few years.
Another is that the “acceptable lower amount” of LDL has, in fact, been “consensus lowered” over the past few years, little by little, to the “best practice” score of 100.
However, the third issue is the increasing use of AI in medical practice.
AI algorithms that are being used more and more for diagnostic and treatment “recommendations.” And what are these AI algorithms based on? — the latest “consensus best practice” numbers / treatment options.
AI-generated “analyses” of test results, and AI-generated “recommendations”, are being used by many clinicians. This spares the clinician from taking the time and effort to analyze test results and come up with “recommendations”; instead, leaving these to the AI algorithms were installed on the computers in the medical clinic / office.
IMO, it’s time for patients to think about challenging any results, “treatment recommendations”, or referrals, that spark the “Suspicious Cat” reaction. Especially if the patient has records of results spanning a few years that indicate otherwise — and if the most recent physical exam went well. (Good idea to keep medical tests / exams / procedures and operations, results records, IMO, for at least 5 years.)

Physician assistant education programs usually take at least 2 years of postbaccalaureate study, while a doctor has four years of medical school postbaccalaureate study in a science-related field such as biology, chemistry, or biochemistry. PLUS a doctor has to take a residency program, which can vary in length from three to seven years depending on the medical specialty chosen.
Believe me the ‘science’ a nursing student takes is closer to a high school class (or worse) compared to that of a BS degree in a science. At least in the school I went to. LOTS less math required.
It’s a pretty alarming trend given the expected health crises coming for all the shot damaged people out there…plus shedding AND long haulers 😡

IMO, there are additional things that may well be going on:
One: It appears that the practice of medicine is increasingly turning into a situation of, “do what the ‘Trusted Messenger’ (the clinician) says, or the patient could die, and the ‘Trusted Messenger’ (and what they “recommend”) cannot be blamed.”
Two: It appears that the practice of medicine is increasingly turning into a situation of, “the patient cannot be trusted to do ‘the right thing’ for themselves, and will need the ‘Trusted Messenger’ to guide them.”
Three: it appears that the practice of medicine is increasingly turning into a situation of, depending on the services of NON-physicians (PAs, NPs, etc.) to do most of the work with the patient.
IMO, it may well be the case that the patient needs to demand that a physician take over if the patient is not satisfied.

Another aspect of the situation with your husband, IMO, is the combination of the stress being associated with a church with which there may be “doctrinal differences”, plus the (subconscious / emotional) stress of being the same age as when his mother passed away without having had proper care.
Yours Truly had to make the decision, years ago, of whether to stay with the university teaching position she had in a department that had different standards of faculty support for those members who did not have PhD degrees, as compared to those who did hold that degree (among other issues.) I had taught there for 12 years. My students were trained well. But I did not have a PhD. I was passed over for promotion. Etc.
I quit. The head of the department spent weeks trying to get me to return — “something can be worked out.” Nope.
The other aspect — that of the parent who died — is one that can show up, even if the surviving children “have made peace” with the parent’s health situation and death. This is because the subconscious mind and the emotions run on very different “tracks” in human beings, as compared to the cognitive mind. It can be that the subconscious mind and the emotions, since these hold lifelong memories, also can “grieve” far longer than what would be “expected.” There is no defined “what would be expected time period” in terms of grieving for these parts of the mind. This is unique to each individual person. This is despite the Biblical “Do not dwell on the past.” The subconscious mind and the emotions basically do that all the time, and when they want to. IMO, the Biblical injunction refers to the cognitive mind.
This subconscious mind / emotional “rumination” can present in various ways:
Anxiety;
Loss of appetite;
Nightmares;
“Am I next?” thinking;
Fatigue;
Blood pressure changes;
and more.
A book, “You’re Not Crazy, You’re Grieving”, by Alan Wolfelt, PhD, really helped me after my brother died in October 2024. I agree with PAVACA’s thoughts on this. When a man confronts his mortality, as your husband is right now, having reached the “milestone” age of his mother’s death, it is a very traumatic time. And men don’t share their emotional inner life very well. They just suck it up. Which affects the body terribly.
And don’t discount the power of SAD. I have it very bad. If hubby will take vitamin D, he should. And I changed every light bulb in my house to full-spectrum light a few years ago. It helped.

Many docs are changing to seek low CALCULATED values of LDL and VLDL and ignoring measured low values of HDL. IMO this is a “silent objection” to statins, which they know their patients hate, and probably don’t need.

Here’s my similar story:
I had a bone density scan last year. When the report came, they said I had some osteoporosis. I went back to my previous bone density scan to compare them.
The one I had done in 2019 had TWO sets of numbers. One was comparing me to a thirty year old person. That one showed I had some osteopenia (pre-osteoporosis) comparatively. The other number showed me compared to others my age. That comparison showed normal.
The test done in 2024 only showed the comparison to a thirty year old’s bones!
So I called my doctor, who of course thought I should be taking drugs, and demanded the numbers comparing me to others my own age. Because ALL people’s bones change from age 30 to age 60!
She said she’d try to get them, but then a few days later told me I’d have to contact the hospital lab for the numbers. That took multiple phone calls! They REALLY didn’t want me to have those numbers, because they are NORMAL.
Modern medicine is about nothing but money, period.
That is beyond unethical, my gosh! These people & industries are Sick if not straight up Evil! 😡 😮 😡

It caused me to create speadsheets for both of us. We have used the same doc office for nearly 40 years, which is not owned by corporate chain. Taking into account their lab may have changed along with testing protocols and reporting through the years. That may impact the ranges. When done I was able to compare every marker over 20+ years. For example I could tell when wifey began taking a fluid med, and later, Amlodipine for BP. It changed the results in applicable areas. Noted the recommended cholesterol range changes you did and chose to simply go with monitoring the ratios while focusing future efforts toward increasing HDL.

Our fairly long term doc that died last year was a pretty good guy. You could tell that he genuinely cared about his patients even though he got on the shot-shilling band wagon during the covid crisis AND mask nazification in his office at the time. He tried to get me on “the standard of care” for Type II Diabetes so I did fill prescriptions I was hesitant to take. For the statin, having read here of some of the dangers, (also for Any new med for a family member) I requested the “package insert” info from the pharmacy which I read in detail & marked up like my college textbooks that I owned. When I next saw that doctor I went over my concerns on the statin & informed him I wouldn’t be taking it. His jaw almost hit the floor but I think he also had some reluctant respect for me as well. On the meds I was willing to take he was kind enough to prescribe them at the highest dosage, so my monthly refills would get the most meds, but trusted me to “titrate them up” in a way that he indicated so that I had control over that diabetes management to some degree. We will continue to miss him as he was gone too soon & one of the good ones seeming to walk the tightrope between care for patients & accountability to overlords. He also printed out things on the discharge paperwork that weren’t overtly discussed, like taking Vitamin D & Vitamin C, so seemingly was bucking some of the control systems rather gently.

COMMENNTARY FOR JEREMIAH 1:5
Jeremiah was a priest, a native of Anathoth, in the tribe of Benjamin. He was called to the prophetic office when very young, about seventy years after the death of Isaiah, and exercised it for about forty years with great faithfulness, till the sins of the Jewish nation came to their full measure and destruction followed. The prophecies of Jeremiah do not stand as they were delivered. Blayney has endeavoured to arrange them in more regular order, namely, ch. 1-20; 22; 23; 25; 26; 35; 36; 45; 24; 29; 30; 31; 27; 28; 21; 34; 37; 32; 33; 38; 39; (ver. 15-18, 1-14.) 40-44; 46-52. The general subject of his prophecies is the idolatry and other sins of the Jews; the judgments by which they were threatened, with references to their future restoration and deliverance, and promises of the Messiah. They are remarkable for plain and faithful reproofs, affectionate expostulations, and awful warnings.Jeremiah’s call to the prophetic office.
(1-10) A vision of an almond-tree and of a seething-pot, Divine protection is promised. (11-19)1-10 Jeremiah’s early call to the work and office of a prophet is stated. He was to be a prophet, not to the Jews only, but to the neighbouring nations. He is still a prophet to the whole world, and it would be well if they would attend to these warnings. The Lord who formed us, knows for what particular services and purposes he intended us. But unless he sanctify us by his new-creating Spirit, we shall neither be fit for his holy service on earth, nor his holy happiness in heaven. It becomes us to have low thoughts of ourselves. Those who are young, should consider that they are so, and not venture beyond their powers. But though a sense of our own weakness and insufficiency should make us go humbly about our work, it should not make us draw back when God calls us. Those who have messages to deliver from God, must not fear the face of man. The Lord, by a sign, gave Jeremiah such a gift as was necessary. God’s message should be delivered in his own words. Whatever wordly wise men or politicians may think, the safety of kingdoms is decided according to the purpose and word of God.
11-19 God gave Jeremiah a view of the destruction of Judah and Jerusalem by the Chaldeans. The almond-tree, which is more forward in the spring than any other, represented the speedy approach of judgments. God also showed whence the intended ruin should arise. Jeremiah saw a seething-pot boiling, representing Jerusalem and Judah in great commotion. The mouth or face of the furnace or hearth, was toward the north; from whence the fire and fuel were to come. The northern powers shall unite. The cause of these judgments was the sin of Judah. The whole counsel of God must be declared. The fear of God is the best remedy against the fear of man. Better to have all men our enemies than God our enemy; those who are sure they have God with them, need not, ought not to fear, whoever is against them. Let us pray that we may be willing to give up personal interests, and that nothing may move us from our duty.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. The International Energy Agency will convene an extraordinary meeting of its member countries Tuesday to discuss a possible release of oil stockpiles to address the supply disruption triggered by the Iran war.
The more than 30 members will “assess the current security of supply and market conditions to inform a subsequent decision on whether to make emergency stocks […] available to the market,” IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol said in a statement.
IEA members are advanced economies primarily in North America, Europe and Northeast Asia. They collectively hold about 1.2 billion barrels of oil in reserve. Another 600 million barrels are held in industry stocks under government obligation.
Oil prices fell more than 11% as the market anticipates a release oil stocks. Prices had surged to a high of nearly $120 per barrel on Monday due to the supply disruption.
Energy ministers from the Group of Seven nations met earlier Tuesday to discuss options to address the supply disruption, Birol said. The G7 members are Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. They are also IEA members.
The U.S. believes a joint release of 300 million to 400 million barrels, representing 25% to 30% of the 1.2 billion barrels held in reserve, would be appropriate, sources told CNBC on Monday.

Loving Lord, as the day is coming to an end, I want to thank You for being with me in all that has taken place today. I also want to lay the whole day before You, asking that you would show me if there is anything that I have done to hurt or harm another person unknowingly, or if I have done anything that is displeasing in Your sight, or quenched the work of the Spirit in me, so that I may turn away from such things in the days that lie ahead.

If they refused to name the father, they were given away into indentured servitude. Their children were often indentured, too. There is a case in my family tree of two sisters who had children out of wedlock, both refused to name the father. How much do you want to bet that the shame of naming their FATHER as the father of their children outweighed whatever they faced if they didn’t name him?
In another case, a female member of my family inherited her husband’s wealth, but others coveted it. So what did they do? Well, they declared her “insane,” and committed her to the asylum! Much better!
Or, even more exciting, let’s call her a witch because she won’t give her son the cow she inherited when his stepdad died. Yep, true story. And eighty+ year old lady survived torture for witchcraft over a cow, after being “convicted” by a jury of her “peers.” all “upstanding” white men, of course.
Sure, a white guy might go to jail. But a slave, or Native American? Nah, no jail, we’d have to feed ’em! They just get lashes, stocks, or beatings! Way better.

So she did something wrong, according to whatever the laws were of the time. They can’t just bring her into court if no law is broken.
Yes, she had help, an accomplice, but that does not mitigate her own accountability.

In the cases you describe, the woman clearly chose to withhold the name of the father, knowing that he won’t be held accountable until or unless she does.

Assuming the examples you refer to are from long time ago in American history.
In a world where resources are truly scarce, and there is no government safety net, someone has to PAY for her care.
I don’t know the complete picture of the circumstances. Maybe her family rejected her out of the shame she brought on the family, so if she won’t name the father, who is going to take care of her and the unborn child?
Clearly someone will, they are not just going to banish her to the woods to die.
Someone in the town or village or city will take her in, provide her shelter and food and whatever pre-natal and post-natal care was commonly available for the time.
But unless whoever takes her in is an outright charity, then in exchange for providing for her wellbeing and the wellbeing of her unborn child, the person who took her in is going to require that she doesn’t sit on the couch all day, smoking cigarettes, drinking strawberry Boone’s Farm and watching Jerry Springer. Or the 1700s equivalent, whatever that might be.
She’s going to be required to do some kind of work, until she is no longer able, due to the pregnancy.
That may be called indentured servitude, because she’s not volunteering — but on the other hand, nobody is volunteering to take care of her for free, either.
This system, and others similar to it, worked very well, for thousands of years.
It’s easy to argue that it was a much better system, more fair and just, than the unmitigated disaster of the modern welfare state.

Okay, we’re getting kinda deep into the weeds here, with admittedly unique and unusual examples.
I don’t know the circumstances surrounding this case, or who did what to whom.
If someone makes an accusation of witchcraft, we’re no longer in the realm of jurisprudence, we’re in religious territory — unless someone comes up with a scientifically repeatable way to prove someone is a witch.
So now it sounds like we’re talking about a community that has fallen under the mass-formation psychosis of witchcraft.
This is not a protected-class issue in any way similar to the protected-classes of the past 50+ years, whose impact on society and in the courts is ubiquitous, not some odd occurrence where an old woman won’t hand over a cow.

OK – here is a question for all of you. I’ll repeat it tomorrow.
If you all would like to get rid of “full posts” on the front page, and replace them with excerpts like we used to have, I can do it by changing our site “theme” from “Independent Publisher 2” to the original “Independent Publisher” theme.
For the most part, it keeps almost all of our work on the site.
HOWEVER, there will be some slight changes.
What do you all think? Do you want to try this alternative theme?
I, for one, prefer to read the posts off the front page, in their own post page with comments. The trick for me is to quickly find the link off the front page. Is there any possibility of putting that link at the top of the article instead of at the bottom?
‘Cause if I didn’t have to rapidly scroll through the entire article to get to the link to the post’s own page with comments, I wouldn’t have any concern with the front page’s presentation either way.
You will probably like the changed theme. I’m also thinking about doing it with “sidebar at the end, even on computer screens”. That is very clean.
Scratch that. The new theme has issues that are not acceptable.

You might take into consideration how the site presents on a cell phone screen. I’ve shared Q-Tree links with family before & they have a hard time finding the right spot, even when the link is to a specific comment, because there is so much scrolling involved.
Personally I think it would be nice to have a “collapsing the conversation” button, like how the spoiler toggles on & off, so that it can be an easy scroll through the top level comments, especially if the convenient yellow background would indicate that there is a new remark within the collapsed discussion.
However, even if such a tweak is possible, I wouldn’t want you to go to extreme measures to make it happen. The site is pretty great as it currently is & we’re all used to it’s current idiosyncrasies 🙂
To get the post. I go to the Home Page and then right click on the title and bring it up in a new tab. OR just click on the title.

I’m not sure.
Picking a new, modern theme and rebuilding the site is an option, which MIGHT make WP more cooperative for authors, but it might do nothing except create confusion.
The fact that our commenting plugin doesn’t work with this other, older theme is not very encouraging, but if it’s just because that theme is old, then we might be OK moving to a newer theme that has fewer problems with modern WordPiss.
