I’ll start with the not so good so we can end on a good note.
LED Bulbs to get worse for health in 2028
Current pending regulations will make LED Bulbs even more narrow spectrum (and in a very bad way), so even the better color spectrum bulbs with both aesthetic and health benefits will be banned in the USA.
This will not bother me much, since I have a lifetime supply of IC and CFL bulbs; but I might stock up on a few of the better LEDs and encourage LED using friends to do so.

For those who have not got an inventory of Incandescent bulbs: You can make work-arounds.
There are Y adapters to turn one socket into 2, then put 40 W “appliance bulbs” in it for an 80 W IC lamp. I also bought some adapters with 3 to 1 sockets and then 3 x 25 W bulbs gives you a 75 W, while 3 x 40 gives 120 W of light.
I also have 2 “three way” floor lamps and, for now, you can still find IC 3 way bulbs ( I bought a bunch of 50 / 100 / 150 from Amazon recently). Then, running it on the low setting, when that burns out, you still have a bulb of the higher wattage that works in a regular socket (since the power comes from the center pin for that filament). I use the 50W as “all day long” ambient light in my office and about once a year get a bulb with only the high power 100W setting left, and move it to the Den Lamp on a dimmer. Run at about 90% of power, they last for several years.
Finally, “Rough Service” bulbs are not “general service” so you can still get “rough service” IC bulibs. I also have some 200 W “High Power” bulbs, that, turn on a dimmer will last nearly forever (though with low efficiency, but with LOTS of healthful IR light 😉
So with some work it is still possible to bypass the lousy LED light.

There are fundamental incompatibilities between Islam and Christianity (including that the Koran says to try to convert Christians and only kill them after you give it a good attempt and they won’t pay you a special tax to stay alive… Then there’s the “kill the Jews where you find them” which sure sounds like a “hate crime” to me… and the stoning of anyone gay unless you can toss them off a high building… and more. And yes, I have read the Koran and it does say it is OK to enslave the infidel).
So John Cleese (Monty Python / Faulty Towers comedian) pointed out some of these inherent incompatibilities and the result is that the police (the Thought Police department of the Government Security apparatus) has put this 86 year old man on a potential terrorist list of some kind for speaking a truth that made someone (muslim) uncomfortable. IMHO, this will continue getting worse until one of two things happen:
1) Most likely is the collapse of European Christian Democratic Republics as Europe becomes Yet Another Islamic Mess like the rest of the Muslim World.
2) Least Likely is that the Native Europeans do what they did in the 1200-1500 A.D. era and once again drive out the invading ideology.
BOTH of them will involve a LOT of death and bloodshed. At present, with demographic collapse among the existing populations of Europe (largely due to the feminist ideology of “career no kids” and blame men), in another generation there will be a majority Muslims in Europe and they will just vote in an Islamic State. Then it will be “conversion by the sword” for any minority population of Europeans. That’s what the Koran mandates.
What would it take for a revival of a Christian Europe? Good luck with that… I don’t know what it would take, and I don’t see anyone making it happen. I do see a LOT of “import fighting age 3rd world Muslim Men”, and the fantasy that this is somehow going to end well.

A small group used A.I. to write an open source clone of Photoshop in Rust in a few weeks. The whole thing.
Software companies just took a major hit to their business model. Even if nobody makes an A.I. Windows Clone, or Micro$oft manages to sue folks to prevent it: Any group could now make a ‘work alike” that was better than their crap, and a LOT more efficient, that required minimal changes to work flow and user skills, and make it free or minimally priced.
Going to Programming Classes and “learning to code” is no longer a viable career path. Learning to prompt an A.I. is.
Expect a flood of cheap software that works FINE from places like India, China, and frankly, just about anywhere. Were I, say, the Chief Tech Officer of the Government of Some 3rd World Country: I’d NOT be cutting a check for ANY Western Software. I’d either use the existing Open Source stuff, OR if some particular need existed and no open source product existed – I’d tell my computer department staff to whip up a clone using A.I. tools.
IMHO, there will be a huge reduction in valuations of Software Companies… the survivors will make it on “consultants” and “maintenance” fees. Not a software license fee.

Greetings Q-Tree friends & family,
Thank you for praying, again, for my family. My daughter & her brand new baby boy came home from the hospital Friday & mother & baby plus dad & big sister all seem to be doing well. Josiah & I stopped by to bring a new cot that Michael ordered so Clarissa can sleep in the baby’s room until she’s healed enough to do stairs to her bedroom upstairs, & we had a brief visit with the family. I finally got to hold my first (known) grandson (don’t know if heavenly grandchild is a boy or girl) too! We’re thankful that David’s lung situation cleared up enough to be with mom in her hospital room for hours before they were able to head home too. The hospital also did an Echocardiogram on the baby because of a heart murmer but I guess that didn’t generate further concerns.
Speaking of Echos, Josiah has one this week along with another Pediatric Cardiologist visit. I’m anticipating his heart conditions to be stable but plan to ask the doctor for a referral to someone to get his knee situation evaluated. His right knee is now collapsing multiple times a day, even when he wears the brace &/or uses the cane. He is now often falling a few times a day because of this & has bruised or scraped up knees, shins, hips, & his back. Hopefully we can then get some answers & help for him soon…
Hubby & I met with a financial advisor this week & we are now hopeful that we should be able to secure both the Cottage & “Hilton” hunting “cabin” from my dad’s estate/trust & these transactions should play out within the next 2 months. Funding still partially/largely depends on the closing of the sale of my dad’s house, which still pends. We are both feeling so much better about the situation after our meeting this week. There are still quite a few moving pieces but there appears to be a viable pathway forward so we are thankful.

He should be using his free hand to touch [not put his weight upon] stable things – walls, tables, chairs, etc. This supplements his middle ear balancing mechanism which eliminates one task that he might not realize needs help.
He also needs to move more slowly and deliberately, thinking consciously about each step in the process.
I have found that I can prevent falls by forcing myself to go step-by-step on those movements that I used to perform almost instinctively AND by touching secure surfaces/objects to reinforce my sense of my center-of-gravity.

Those are good suggestions but this doesn’t (usually) appear balance related, though he’s had those problems in the past. This appears to be mostly mechanical as in he’s walking along & then the knee just gives out, as I’ve seen it happen multiple times. Last night it happened on the stairs & even though he was holding the railing he still fell down three stairs 🙁 Compounded with his ongoing emotional pain about his marriage & still refusing to communicate wife he’s usually hurting all around 💔
Exactly. He’s walking along as he always does – NOT THINKING ABOUT WALKING!!! It is a balance issue or he wouldn’t fall [he’d just stumble and be able to shift his weight].
As far as falling on the stairs, it reinforces my advice – he needs to learn how to walk in his current condition.
Trust me on this – he has balance issues. If he follows my advice, he might never fall again.

Yours Truly agrees with pgroup’s reply. This brings up, IMO, another question (one which may have already been dealt with) — is there some kind of inner ear / vestibular issue with your son? Not saying that such an issue would affect his knee, but it could affect balance in general.

He historically had some vestibular issues when younger but I don’t think that is currently (much if any of) a factor. Most of those balance issues seem to be more connected with low blood sugar nowadays, though he did have a vertigo day a few weeks back, bad enough to keep him home from work & out of the car too…
Hopefully you are aware that low blood sugar is caused by eating carbohydrates. (Sugar & Statch)
I am very sensitive and have given up most carbs and went Keto at 19 years because I hate the crash after I eat carbs.
If I do eat carbs (CHOCOLATE!!!) it is at night.
Yeah, Hubby & Josiah have hypoglycemia so have to eat mostly fat & protein. They usually handle things pretty well but if either are more active than typical they need to eat more accordingly. Peanut Butter is their fast safety net, or nuts, protein bars, &/or jerky.

The first 2 years, dinning was formal and upper classmen taught manners to the incoming classes. Then the Civil Right Act passed and we got ferals from the inner city, so it went cafeteria style. The BLACK upper classmen were disgusted with the situation BTW.

COMMENTARY FOR 2 TIMOTHY 4
The apostle solemnly charges Timothy to be diligent, though many will not bear sound doctrine. (1-5) Enforces the charge from his own martyrdom, then at hand. (6-8) Desires him to come speedily. (9-13) He cautions, and complains of such as had deserted him; and expresses his faith as to his own preservation to the heavenly kingdom. (14-18) Friendly greetings and his usual blessing. (19-22)1-5 People will turn away from the truth, they will grow weary of the plain gospel of Christ, they will be greedy of fables, and take pleasure in them. People do so when they will not endure that preaching which is searching, plain, and to the purpose. Those who love souls must be ever watchful, must venture and bear all the painful effects of their faithfulness, and take all opportunities of making known the pure gospel.

As long as we live, we must still learn. The apostles did not neglect human means, in seeking the necessaries of life, or their own instruction. Let us thank the Divine goodness in having given us so many writings of wise and pious men in all ages; and let us seek that by reading them our profiting may appear to all.
14-18 There is as much danger from false brethren, as from open enemies. It is dangerous having to do with those who would be enemies to such a man as Paul. The Christians at Rome were forward to meet him, #Ac 28|, but when there seemed to be a danger of suffering with him, then all forsook him. God might justly be angry with them, but he prays God to forgive them. The apostle was delivered out of the mouth of the lion, that is, of Nero, or some of his judges. If the Lord stands by us, he will strengthen us in difficulties and dangers, and his presence will more than supply every one’s absence.
19-22 We need no more to make us happy, than to have the Lord Jesus Christ with our spirits; for in him all spiritual blessings are summed up. It is the best prayer we can offer for our friends, that the Lord Jesus Christ may be with their spirits, to sanctify and save them, and at last to receive them to himself. Many who believed as Paul, are now before the throne, giving glory to their Lord: may we be followers of them.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. • Hamilton doesn’t fit a pattern of presidents. There would be no reason to include him with four of the greatest presidents we have ever had, two of whom were assassinated and two of whom had assassination attempts—and not include other non-presidents who had assassination attempts.
• Garfield was in office less than four months. It would not make sense to include him with the other presidents.
• Only two of the men depicted were actually assassinated.
None of the proposed theories makes sense except that this picture depicts our greatest presidents.
I most certainly do not consider Reagan among our greatest presidents. That is what threw me off.

That’s what I’m saying: People have “assassination” on the brain, but I don’t think it’s about that. I think it’s about the greatest presidents, in the artist’s opinion (even if it’s AI/SI).
“Coincidentally,” some of the most consequential presidents who were doing the most to preserve and restore America are the ones who have been targets. But I don’t think that’s what the painting is emphasizing. the most simplistic characteristic of everyone in the picture (except the President and Mrs Trump) is that they’re all dead. is this a threat? it struck me as so, even though the poster at tcth hasn’t made any threats before. something about this strikes me the wrong way.
I can see why one could consider that to be possibly ominous, but I think it’s just including PDJT with an elite group of presidents, like we do when we “place” him on Mt. Rushmore (also with dead presidents

I also think the fact that they’re in a ballroom, which presumably is a WH ballroom, emphasizes “presidency.”

I understand, but IMO the inclusion of Washington, who was not assassinated, was our first president, and who is considered among the greatest if not the greatest—and who, as a Founding Father, was a patriot’s patriot—dispels all those other considerations.
We are “living through history” and we know that our current president, who is unique in his fervor, dedication, and ability to get things done, has many enemies who want him dead; so many of us are on edge about that and are defensive of him, which is understandable.

On the one hand, because so many of the presidents who were working in the best interests of America have had attempts on their lives or have been assassinated, it’s easy to see that in the picture. But if assassinations and attempts are the point, it’s not complete.

And many other attempts, including Reagan and Trump, and Washington’s perils on the battlefield.

The intention of Zelenskyy’s targeting is obvious to anyone who has followed the conflict between Russia-Ukraine and the involvement of EU-NATO countries in keeping maximum conflict at the forefront. They do not want a strategic agreement between Putin and Trump.
Hours before the Ukraine targeting of the NZNP export terminal, President Trump announced a strategic agreement with President Putin for refined diesel exports over the next six months. This Trump-Putin agreement was against the interests of Zelenskyy and specifically against the interests of his benefactors in London, because Putin and Trump are working outside the “western market pricing system”.
To fully understand what is happening, I strongly suggest you spend the time to read my previous articles on the dynamic as outlined below in sequence.

Trump is aligned ideologically with the BRICS position on energy exploitation. However, it’s actually more consequential than just an alignment of interests. The biggest economy in the world, the economy that establishes the currency used in most global trade, is now aligning in common purpose against the financial schemes of London, while RETAINING the dollar as the central trade currency.
Trump is telling BRICS there’s no reason to replace the dollar, we can just replace the manipulation.
London must be going bananas, and Zelenskyy is their tool to stop Trump.

Another treasonous judge who ignores the fact that said illegals voluntarily entered Mexico (and likely multiple other countries where they could have applied for ‘asylum’) before arriving at the border…and the reality that we have embassies in every country they came from, wherein they could have applied for asylum. Choices have consequences.
Then there is the simple matter that it isn’t our responsibility to care for people who aren’t citizens. It’s really strange in another way as well. Where are the type of places that large numbers of illegal aliens flooded to? NYC and other high crime areas – places far more dangerous than most of their native towns.
Reality is that they are economic migrants – who have zero right to ask for asylum or be in our nation.
