I saw a tweet that said rioters were breaking into people’s homes. I couldn’t make out what the video was showing so I didn’t post it, but I would not be surprised.
Calibrating the level of force of response is a bit of an art, but it is well-defined, and moves smoothly from force to deadly force as needed, and it is legally justified the whole way.
People need to be mentally prepared to kindly warn away hooligans, but to likewise be ready to flip into lethal force against multiple attackers in the space of a heartbeat. For many women, sadly, this is not possible, as it’s cold logic, and must not be driven by emotion, despite “reasonable fear” and other emotional concepts being part of the equations.
The Rooftop Koreans were exemplary in how they drove back waves of rioters with warning shots. That is difficult, but not always necessary, as allowing criminals to push too far and reap their just reward is an option for those who have provided sufficient warning, and are up for the job.
I had hoped this stage would be avoided, but at this point I feel it is worth investing the study time in learning to be Rittenhouse.

If they are dangerous enough for you to discharge your weapon, you should shoot to kill. Not warn, not wound. Kill the threat.
Like I said, it’s difficult territory – just like Rittenhouse – who did NOT use warning shots, and IMO may (or may not) have actually paid a price for it. As you likely noticed, it was extremely difficult to tell that he was purely defending, just by analyzing video clips out of their totality, and I have tended to believe that the constant ambiguity of his trained response is a large part of why he was indicted.
I’ve been studying some difficult cases (one of which will be presented) where warning shots were used, and IMO resulted strongly in favorable judgment for the innocent party being attacked. In those cases, the home-defending party was never indicted, and the attacker was quickly identified as such.
Not that I seek to automatically disagree with Google and/or AI (LOL), but I personally believe that the communists have been pushing gun owners and police into the current binary dialectic on firearm use for exactly the purpose of protecting their foot-soldiers AND effecting social change that they desire. Thus, I disagree with the “common wisdom” on both “intent to wound” and “warning shots”. I believe that both evolved policies are designed to assist leftist causes.
But, as I said, it’s dangerous territory. There is a difference between acting in compliance with the law, acting in compliance with “thou shalt not kill”, acting in compliance with “won’t get sued”, and acting in compliance with “won’t be indicted by communists or weak RINOs”.
The Rooftop Koreans operated in a situation where the other white-hat option – killing rioters by engaging them as they attempted entry, and waiting for deadly force to be obviously justified (I believe it was fully justified – just not obviously so) in each case – would have likely resulted in firebombs – also a bad outcome. I believe that the outcome shows that the Koreans were correct to choose the path they did, engaging with restrained deadly force in the absence of defense by police.
I’m not taking Google’s advice on this one. However, for people who have not thought deeply about these issues, and particularly how to deal with riots (which are different from most situations), I would recommend, instead, to explicitly follow the advice of people like concealed carry trainers, pro-gun lawyers, etc., for “normal” force/deadly force situations. That will fail, to some extent, in riots, but it’s better than nothing.
I think Google, the MSM, etc., put a fearful spin on the law, with political intent. Better to go straight to the advice from people without an anti-gun agenda.
I was trained to shoot to kill, and not fire warnings, by two old guys with years and years of experience training people to use weapons. They are the ones who told me
1) Carry concealed, not openly
2) Don’t fire a warning
3) Shoot center mass, every time

Congresswoman Omar is certainly not the first member of the federal government to have been accused of committing identity fraud. Although the corporate “news” oligarchy and the political Establishment did their best to cover up the story, there were serious allegations against Barack Obama, including claims that he was not born an American citizen and was therefore ineligible to become president of the United States. As the propaganda press and the Democrat Party are doing today with regard to claims of immigration fraud against Omar, those institutions have told the American people for two decades that doubting the authenticity of Obama’s Hawaiian birth certificate is an act of “racism” and “white supremacy.”
However, as investigative researcher “Sundance” over at The Conservative Treehouse has long argued, there is a lot of circumstantial evidence suggesting that former CIA Director John Brennan conspired with others to scrub records from federal systems that showed Obama is not exactly who he claims to be.
Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Joe Biden had oversight over the Foreign Service and passport office and was in charge of the investigation into the breach of Obama’s records. Obama chose Biden as his vice presidential running mate.
Later, State Department employee Lt. Quarles Harris, Jr. – who apparently penetrated the database and likely scrubbed Obama’s records – was found dead. He had been shot twice in the head (described as “execution style”), but his death was ruled a “suicide.”
Barack Obama successfully hid his identity. Perhaps Ilhan Omar has John Brennan on retainer, too. We’ll see.

COMMENTARY FOR 1 THESSALONIANS 5
The apostle exhorts to be always ready for the coming of Christ to judgment, which will be with suddenness and surprise. (1-11) He directs to several particular duties. (12-22) And concludes with prayer, greetings, and a blessing. (23-28)
1-5 It is needless or useless to ask about the particular time of Christ’s coming. Christ did not reveal this to the apostles. There are times and seasons for us to work in, and these are our duty and interest to know and observe; but as to the time when we must give up our account, we know it not, nor is it needful that we should. The coming of Christ will be a great surprise to men. Our Lord himself said so. As the hour of death is the same to each person that the judgment will be to mankind in general, so the same remarks answer for both. Christ’s coming will be terrible to the ungodly. Their destruction will overtake them while they dream of happiness, and please themselves with vain amusements. There will be no means to escape the terror or the punishment of that day. This day will be a happy day to the righteous. They are not in darkness; they are the children of the light. It is the happy condition of all true Christians. But how many are speaking peace and safety to themselves, over whose heads utter destruction is hovering! Let us endeavour to awaken ourselves and each other, and guard against our spiritual enemies.
6-11 Most of mankind do not consider the things of another world at all, because they are asleep; or they do not consider them aright, because they sleep and dream. Our moderation as to all earthly things should be known to all men. Shall Christians, who have the light of the blessed gospel shining in their faces, be careless about their souls, and unmindful of another world? We need the spiritual armour, or the three Christian graces, faith, love, and hope. Faith; if we believe that the eye of God is always upon us, that there is another world to prepare for, we shall see reason to watch and be sober. True and fervent love to God, and the things of God, will keep us watchful and sober. If we have hope of salvation, let us take heed of any thing that would shake our trust in the Lord. We have ground on which to build unshaken hope, when we consider, that salvation is by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, to atone for our sins and to ransom our souls. We should join in prayer and praise one with another. We should set a good example one before another, and this is the best means to answer the end of society. Thus we shall learn how to live to Him, with whom we hope to live for ever.
12-15 The ministers of the gospel are described by the work of their office, which is to serve and honour the Lord. It is their duty not only to give good counsel, but also to warn the flock of dangers, and reprove for whatever may be amiss. The people should honour and love their ministers, because their business is the welfare of men’s souls. And the people should be at peace among themselves, doing all they can to guard against any differences. But love of peace must not make us wink at sin. The fearful and sorrowful spirits, should be encouraged, and a kind word may do much good. We must bear and forbear. We must be long-suffering, and keep down anger, and this to all men. Whatever man do to us, we must do good to others.
16-22 We are to rejoice in creature-comforts, as if we rejoiced not, and must not expect to live many years, and rejoice in them all; but if we do rejoice in God, we may do that evermore. A truly religious life is a life of constant joy. And we should rejoice more, if we prayed more. Prayer will help forward all lawful business, and every good work. If we pray without ceasing, we shall not want matter for thanksgiving in every thing. We shall see cause to give thanks for sparing and preventing, for common and uncommon, past and present, temporal and spiritual mercies. Not only for prosperous and pleasing, but also for afflicting providences, for chastisements and corrections; for God designs all for our good, though we at present see not how they tend to it. Quench not the Spirit. Christians are said to be baptized with the Holy Ghost and with fire. He worketh as fire, by enlightening, enlivening, and purifying the souls of men. As fire is put out by taking away fuel, and as it is quenched by pouring water, or putting a great deal of earth upon it; so we must be careful not to quench the Holy Spirit, by indulging carnal lusts and affections, minding only earthly things. Believers often hinder their growth in grace, by not giving themselves up to the spiritual affections raised in their hearts by the Holy Spirit. By prophesyings, here understand the preaching of the word, the interpreting and applying the Scriptures. We must not despise preaching, though it is plain, and we are told no more than what we knew before. We must search the Scriptures. And proving all things must be to hold fast that which is good. We should abstain from sin, and whatever looks like sin, leads to it, and borders upon it. He who is not shy of the appearances of sin, who shuns not the occasions of it, and who avoids not the temptations and approaches to it, will not long keep from doing sin.
23-28 The apostle prays that they might be sanctified more perfectly, for the best are sanctified but in part while in this world; therefore we should pray for, and press toward, complete holiness. And as we must fall, if God did not carry on his good work in the soul, we should pray to God to perfect his work, till we are presented faultless before the throne of his glory. We should pray for one another; and brethren should thus express brotherly love. This epistle was to be read to all the brethren. Not only are the common people allowed to read the Scriptures, but it is their duty, and what they should be persuaded to do. The word of God should not be kept in an unknown tongue, but transplanted, that as all men are concerned to know the Scriptures, so they all may be able to read them. The Scriptures should be read in all public congregations, for the benefit of the unlearned especially. We need no more to make us happy, than to know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is an ever-flowing and an over-flowing fountain of grace to supply all our wants.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
