This Salute to Apollo 11 Saturday Open Thread is VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA/KAG/KMAG world.
Free Speech is practiced here at the Q Tree. In fact, our host Wolfmoon encourages us to use it…and Enjoy it. “Use it or lose it”, he tells us.
But please keep it civil. Discussion of Q is not only allowed but encouraged. Imagine that! We can talk about Q here and not get banned.
Please also consider the Important Guidelines, outlined here in the January 1st open thread. Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven that Wolf has created for us.

Remember – your greatest gift to President Trump is FIVE WORDS:

I AM PRAYING FOR YOU.

For your listening enjoyment, I offer this composition from Twelve Titans Music, titled ‘Elevate’:

………………………………………………………………………..

Visual descriptions for our dear Zoe, and for anyone else who may find them helpful:
Header Image: Is a gigantic Tree, sitting on a hill in the middle of a group of buildings and homes. The Tree reaches up into the sky, it’s branches forming an enormous canopy. Underneath the canopy, there is a bright glow shining up from within the Tree. The canopy of the tree stretches out over all the structures below.
Second Image: Is a rounded doorway at the top of a stone stairway, built into the base of an enormous Tree. The doors are glass and there is a bright glow coming from beyond the doors. There are plants, vines and vegetation on either side of the stone steps.
Third Image: Is an open room with comfy-looking futons, a fluffy throw rug and large throw pillows on a gleaming wooden floor. There are glowing lanterns positioned around on the floor.
Fourth Image: Is President Trump walking outdoors, with two secret service agents behind him. He is holding up his left arm out to his side, giving a wave with his hand.

A good buddy sent this to me today:
________________________________________________________
From a 70-year-old friend (Here’s something to think about.)
I recently had to choose a new primary care doctor. After two visits
and exhaustive lab tests, she said I was doing fairly well for my age.
(I am seventy). A little concerned about that comment.
I couldn’t resist asking her, ‘Do you think I’ll live to be 100?’ She asked, ‘Do
you smoke tobacco, or drink beer, wine or hard liquor?’ ‘Oh no,’ I
replied. ‘I’m not doing drugs, either!’ Then she asked, ‘Do you eat
rib-eye steaks and barbecued ribs?’ ‘I said, ‘Not much… My former
doctor said that all red meat is very unhealthy!’ ‘Do you spend a lot
of time in the sun, like playing golf, boating, sailing, hiking, or
bicycling?’ ‘No, I don’t,’ I said. She asked, ‘Do you gamble, drive
fast cars, or have a lot of sex?’ ‘No,’ I said…
She looked at me and said, ‘Then, why do you even give a shit?’

ForGodandCountry

Exactly so.
Hunter S Thompson’s great quote comes to mind, as does Teddy R.’s “Man in the Arena”.

I will say this again: watch for the Wookie to throw it’s hat into the ring! I truly believe it WILL be the surprise entrant!
“While Bill Gates remains the most admired man, the former First Lady has usurped Angelina Jolie’s place as the world’s favorite woman.
Even Oprah Winfrey came in second to Obama, incidentally bumping Jolie into third. Former Secretary of State and Clinton administration First Lady Hillary Clinton landed in eighth, beating the likes of Madonna and Ellen DeGeneres. Melania just barely made the list at 19.
Panelists from 41 countries each nominated ten candidates for the list, whereas the remaining ten were chosen from each nation’s “popular local figures. ” The poll had two questions: Respondents could pick multiple people to answer who they “truly admire,” but only one for who they “most admire.”
Husband and former President Barack Obama came in second to Gates on the mens’ list, followed close behind by international action star Jackie Chan. But the men’s top five included some dubious entries — not the least of which is Vladimir Putin, who somehow made the top ten. According to YouGov:”
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/07/19/yougov-poll-michelle-obama-most-admired-woman-world/

NebraskaFilly

“In a USA-specific version of the poll, Obama won outright — but with President Trump at his heels in second place. Mrs. Obama retained her crown on both.
2020 Democrat contenders for the presidency showed up this year as well. “Joe Biden is the 6th most admired man in the US, followed by Bernie Sanders in the 7th spot. Elizabeth Warren also made the list, as the 13th most admired woman in the country,” YouGov wrote.”

ForGodandCountry

You are forgetting one tiny little gigantic thing.
Blacks will NOT vote for the Wookie and it’s beta male the same way they did previously. In fact, a Significant percentage of them have not only awoken to WHO Obama really is, but they are PISSED OFF AS HELL at him.
And without that overwhelming black vote, which it will NOT get, it cannot win.

NebraskaFilly

Sorry but I disagree – I don’t think enough blacks have seen the light. I hope I am wrong, tho.

NebraskaFilly

i believe there will be a boatload of virtue signalling on-going, just to be able to say they voted for the first black female President.

NebraskaFilly

And that includes ALL of the uber-progressive whites in our country.

ForGodandCountry

You CAN disagree without apologizing, you know. Jus’ sayin’
I have faith in Candice Owns (intentional spelling) and Blaxit.

ladypenquin

I don’t agree about Michelle being the nominee, but not so much because of the Black vote, and you may be right – not enough have seen the light, but the loss of the White Obama voters from 2008 and 2012. He decreased several million votes between 2008 and 2012, and I believe he would not have been re-elected if a third term was possible.
Still, I am hoping that the Black voters have woken up for their sake, as much any other reason, and OTOH, I don’t think those white Dem voters who abandoned Hillary (Dems) in 2016 are going to run to Michelle in 2020.
What attracted those voters in 2016 holds even stronger sway today than back then.

Deplorable Patriot

Not as many have seen the light as we would like to think. There are segments that are very easily manipulated.

ForGodandCountry

We don’t need many. In fact, if Flep’s polls are right, not anymore than he already has since 2016.

wolfmoon1776

Let me just state this for our side:
There is no Democrat who does not have TWO Achilles heels in this race. Some have more.

Gail Combs

“… Melania just barely made the list at 19.”
Thanks alot FAKE NEWS….
Actual considering all the NEGATIVE and ZERO press it is surprising she made #19 (Too bad it was not #17)

MAGA Mom

Where did they take the survey – CA or NY?

Teagan

The better question…how many were faux votes and how much was paid.
Just like all the millions of Facebook/Twitter followers…there’s a lot of faithful robots.
In the old days, “starving” students donated blood for $$$ but now they sell their votes.

MAGA Mom

I was curious (and well trained from since ’15 to look at the methodology, the numbers behind the numbers.
From the original article:
According to a recent YouGov.com poll, which surveyed 42,000 people in 41 countries, the former First Lady topped the list as the “Most Admired Woman in the World.”
https://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/ny-michelle-obama-most-admired-woman-in-the-world-and-us-20190718-jeauicrpejeszoy4fvxonr3va4-story.html
Not based on US citizens. Wonder why? Didn’t get the numbers they wanted when limited to just the US is my first suspicious/guess.
OH!!! Yes! Pays off to look at the numbers behind the numbers!!!
Here is the sweet little tidbit that the “journalists” at both the NYDaily and (esp.) breitbart ought to have found.
scroll down to an option that lets you check the survey results by country. Obama still #1 (15%) but Melania is #3 (8%) and Ivanka is #11. Yes, Clinton and Ginsberg score higher than Ivanka but that is not the point. The point is the story is written from an international perspective because that feeds the narrative!
Another Important point is that while she is #1 she only rates 15% – far from a majority so yes, #1 but far from hugely popular or a country wide agreed upon talking point!
https://today.yougov.com/topics/international/articles-reports/2019/07/18/2019-worlds-most-admired

MAGA Mom

So focusing on America’s most popular v. the world’s most popular…2 different narratives.
Also, note where the world survey was done – it included countries such as
“All of the surveys were conducted online, and in many of the countries the internet penetration is low to the point where the sample can only be said to be representative to the online population. The countries where the online population is lower than 60% of the total are China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and South Africa.”
they provide no other info on the demographics, countries, states within the US, etc.
Lets remember than in the US many online polls skew toward the younger and therefore more liberal set. They give no other info on other questions asked, if the it was fill in the blanks or select/rank from a preselected list., etc.

MAGA Mom

Oops, sorry, I was wrong. Breitbart did touch on the US only results but failed to mention Melania was 3rd
“In a USA-specific version of the poll, Obama won outright — but with President Trump at his heels in second place. Mrs. Obama retained her crown on both.”
Wish we had more info on the “survey” so as to know how seriously to take the results

Deplorable Patriot

I would like to know how the questions were worded to get the responses, and more about the polling samples used.

kalbokalbs

^^^
No reason to take the poll seriously by me. Michael is almost as likable as Mad Max.

ladypenquin

You point out a perfect example of where propagandists use a percentage to imply worthiness, ie. Michelle only garnered 15% of the total vote – and since it was the highest percentage, they gave her the #1 slot.
Figured the poll had to be tightly controlled as regards sourcing. What matters is how this country feels.
BTW, I believe that if Melania was reported on and her photos posted she’d beat all the other women. Michelle’s are the main ones they print, posted at the supermarket checkout, airbrushed to death, etc. etc.
Melania wouldn’t even need airbrushing.

tom f

Ironically every name on the ‘lists’ of most admired has been identified as part of the problem.
Could these ‘lists’ of the best be just a subtle way to reinforce a desired narrative?
Muh brainwashing?

TheseTruths

I’m not discounting your theory that Michelle could enter the race. I have thoughts about the most-admired poll, though. I have never put any stock in those because I suspect they are the kind of popularity contests responded to by uninformed readers of fashion magazines (not ALL readers, just the uninformed ones, lest anyone take offense, LOL). (I know I could be wrong.)
Also, I wonder if “most’-admired” translates to “I think that person is qualified to be president.” Granted, the uninformed readers of fashion magazines neither think nor care about actual qualifications, but a huge portion of the American electorate does care. I think having O himself back in the WH could be a sticking point even for some Dems. They might ask themselves if they want a third term of O (which is likely one problem Biden is having, too).

andyocoregon

Well, Washington Governor Jay Inslee will win the nomination. Do you know why? He’s going to nominate Dyke Megan Rapinoe to be his Secretary of State. LOL!
https://americantruthtoday.com/left-news/2019/07/14/jay-inslee-i-ll-ask-megan-rapinoe-to-be-my-secretary-of-state/

TheseTruths

LOL! I hope they keep doubling down, though. They are digging a deeper hole.

NebraskaFilly

Yeah, I don’t put a whole lot of stock in any polls, given many people with cell phones don’t answer calls from unknown numbers. I certainly don’t. No, this is a feeling I have had for quite some time now. I just think she won’t be able to resist the lure of “first black woman President.” And far too many women out there, including whites, will vote for her just because she is a woman. I hope beyond all hope that I am wrong, TBH.

Cuppa Covfefe

Hmmmm.
Putin…
Sounds like there was some Russian collusion on that poll 🙂
(especially considering that Hill-the-BEAST, Billy-the-Babykiller Gates, Barack the cipher, and the Wøøkie placed so high in the lists)

NebraskaFilly

Could someone please provide an update on PHC? Thanks in advance.

Continued Prayer for Patrick. He is fully in God’s Loving Hanns and God knows what he needs.
Much love to Patrick and his family.

Sylvia Avery

Bless you, singing soul. Appreciate prayers for my friend.

MAGA Mom

PHC is strong (inner fortitude that is too uncommon these days!), great attitude and zest for life comes through even as his “earth suit” fails him.
(Digression: Sometimes death isn’t as hard as the illness that leads to our passing from this life to the next. Sometimes the illness makes us ready (as well as our families) for us to let go of this earthly life (as hard as that is because we love to do, to know, to see what will happen next and we LOVE our family – so hard to let go and then wait for our Heavenly reunions!) and be ready to embrace the next where there will be no more illness, pain, death, sadness, tears… Boy, do I hate the devil and all rebellion has brought!)
Plenty of joking, fun flirting going on between friends on Marcia’s blog that demonstrates PHC is as sharp, clever and humorous as ever. Funny pictures, music, keeping PHC company and enjoying friendships as well as occasional politics.
I am not in the conversations but I am a quiet visitor in the corner, checking in at least 1x, usually 2x or 3x a day, praying for him, his family and his caregivers (emotional, mentally, spiritual and physical care givers).
When I check in a Marica’s, I am glad to see he is being both entertained and comforted in the newest sapling treehouse in the online MAGA forrest (they don’t divide us – they multiply us!) while being well cared for and visited as well as cooked for by family in the “real” world.
This is not a “ground report” as I am not there in person (obviously) but this is my impression and understanding from “knowing” PHC in the treehouse community, on his short lived but infamous and memorable blog and now quietly watching from the corner of the room as the “party”, fun, entertainment and companionship continue on Merica’s blog.
others in actual contact with him may have much more to add to or to correct what I have written.
PS: By the way, I have found this to be a great book to use with children … and adults. Saw it suggested and am glad I clicked and bought. Blessing to several now.

NebraskaFilly

“Sometimes death isn’t as hard as the illness that leads to our passing from this life to the next.” This is how it was when my A-Mom had a massive stroke. Some Nigerian doctor in Omaha wanted to keep her on life support in spite of the massive bleed in her brain on the slim possibility she may recover some functions. Ridiculous! It was clear by looking at her that her essence was already long gone! She made it clear to me she did NOT want to linger like that! 24 hours later, she was allowed to pass on my instructions since I had her Power of Attorney.

MAGA Mom

You did a VERY Hard but Correct thing, the right thing, the actions of integrity and compassion –>> esp. considering her own wishes informed what you did. Good Gracious – it is so difficult to let go and adjust to walking the rest of our earthly life without our Moms or other relatives and friends to whom we are close and with whom we have journeyed through life together.
Death has lost its finality but we still miss them during the years of separation.
Hugs – You are strong person to have followed through wisely and esp. in consideration of your Mom’s desires.

NebraskaFilly

I also have an advanced living directive in place for myself.

singingsoul1

I have been told that the ultimate healer is death. We think we have so much control in life but we really do not.
Living to the fullest is a gift we can take it or not. We all see it different what it means. I have known people who were blind or could not walk who had a full life and were happy.
I have met people who had everything I thought but they were unhappy. Sesst for life comes from withn no mater the circumstances.

Sylvia Avery

Huggles, MAGA Mom!

Sylvia Avery

Thank you MAGA Mom…..he’s doing better today!

Sylvia Avery

Hi NF…Patrick is doing as well as could be hoped. Yes, there are issues. But his medication usually keeps the worst of the pain away. He is still bright and kind and funny as ever even as the disease progresses. He is surrounded by love and laughter. He is doing it HIS way.
Please keep him in your prayers….Thank you! <3

ladypenquin

For awareness purposes. Larry makes important points. No surprise that the GOP lags in making sure they have strong candidates running in the competitive districts. Frustrating – because state GOP entities remain stuck in their Establishment mindset. Share to spread the word. I’d like to think that as we get closer POTUS will get more help on making sure the downticket races start moving. He is going to have strong coattails – I’d hate to see it wasted.
Remember the big money numbers POTUS is collecting is happening in his re-election campaign. The numbers for the House races are way behind the Dem amounts.
It’s a thread, click on date stamp.
https://twitter.com/LarrySchweikart/status/1152575771254280194

Deplorable Patriot

My question is what do those districts have in the way of a bench in the state houses? State rep, then senate (maybe) before a jump to a statewide job where the name recognition is acquired and then on to the congressional seats is usually the way it happens when there isn’t a wave year like 2010. My district is more of an inherited fiefdom, and there are a few like that, but the next family member in line for this specific seat is in the state house right now. An old family friend’s seat flipped while being held for his son who was in the statehouse being groomed. I’m not kidding. I know it’s frustrating when there aren’t conservative candidates surfacing in the run, but they may not be there.
There’s other issues like conservatives tend to not be professional politicians, and the parties are going to back the assets they know, not someone who decides to run because they think they can help change the system. Open primaries allow the opposing party to flood the primary vote with votes for the weak candidate. That’s how Claire McCaskill ended up in the Senate the second time around (the first was on the coattails of stem cell research in a non-presidential year). Todd Akin was not the best of the lot, and the open primary gave the Democrats open season to put him up against her. And then there is the matter of conservatives who are privacy conscious not wanting their lives to be an open book. Every detail of life is examined when a conservative runs for office. The lifestyle of politics is not conducive to family life for young parents, either.
There’s a lot to consider. It’s frustrating, but at the moment, if the bench hasn’t been groomed, there isn’t much that can be done other than pray.

ladypenquin

Your situation is similar to quite a few other states. For example, Scott Taylor, who lost his 1-term seat to a Dem in 2018, could have had a chance to take it back in 2020 – we’re a competitive district, but no, his ego always gets in the way, and he decided to take on Mark Warner – the Dem Senator up in 2020 (Virginia). Taylor isn’t well-liked among the GOP, this isn’t going to help in the statewide race.
We lost quite a few of deep bench when they took out our Governor Bob McDonnell, one term limited, but destroyed forever in politics after Obama sent in the Fed goons. We’ve lost several others. Couldn’t even tell you a good conservative name with name recognition in this state. Remember, Virginia is the state that has Dems in the top 3 offices and weathered racism charges and sexual assault charges. Democrats NEVER quit. Our side does. Well, except for DJT. 🙂

Will Sommer (Daily Beast) is also a staunch supporter of Omar, one who keeps repeating “she didn’t marry her brother, that’s been debunked” (which is a lie… to the contrary, it has BEEN PROVEN she DID MARRY HER BROTHER) so that should re-enforce the notion that he (Will) is a vile being…
What has caused the de-humanization of so many of Will’s generation? (rhetorical question of course)
Please add Carpe Donktum and his family to your prayer list……………….

If I have a grip on emerging facts . . . please correct me if not . . .
Omar may have come into this country with a false name . . . Omar. She then married to evade immigration laws, not to her brother, but to a person in the family who was posing as her brother. So . . . she didn’t marry her brother.
. . . or am I discombobulated?

phoenixRising

She did indeed come into this country with a false (sur) family name……. Omar. Your next statement is not correct, nor is your conclusion. 😉
Her family (sur) name is ELMI…
Her REAL name is ILHAN ELMI.
ILHAN ELMI, along with her father and at least a sister, falsely entered the U.S. as a member of the “Omar” family who had already arrived…back in the mid 1990s at about 12 years of age. She first married Ahmed Hirsi, who is also the father of her children. She later married her brother, AHMED SAID ELMI.
Last night I posted a video/film/documentary created by Ali Alexander which lays out in a timeline her “faith” and legal marriages and divorces.

Also, David Steinberg has been researching this and wrote a piece, link below, which gives timeline.

There is some coverage of Scherie Murray, the Republican who is challenging AOC, at Citizen Free Press. I have not researched or read much about her, but I know concern has been expressed about her being a plant. There is discussion at this link about that, and here is one comment from “Luke of the D”:
https://www.citizenfreepress.com/breaking/meet-scherie-murray-black-republican-who-plans-to-unseat-aoc-hannity-interview/
“I commented several times on Sundance’s thread until he got tired of me and shadow-banned me (I honestly do not know if my comments were ever allowed through, but I got really, really angry at Sundance for playing the bullshit ‘But look, she sent one tweet congratulating AOC on winning, therefore, ignoring all other evidence to the contrary, she is a DEMOCRAT DEVIL! ADEVIL, I say!’), but if you actually read her tweets – not just that one – you can clearly see she has been a Trump supporter since as far back as July 2016 (before the election)…”
I hope we can clarity on who this woman really is.

kalbokalbs

TT,
Thanks for posting information on Scherie Murray. I was certainly one who took initial information on Scherie as she was a plant. Seems as though I was 100% wrong. SDs place no longer book marked on my PC. Doesn’t seem to be the welcoming place for honest open discussion I thought it once was. Believe it was before SD and Co. got full of themselves and very intolerant.

TheseTruths

You’re welcome. I am learning that these days you have to dig on your own, and, as people here point out, give the news 48 hours before you believe it. I still don’t know the answers on Murray because I’m not taking anyone’s word for it and haven’t researched, myself. But I thought that was an interesting discussion. Kane at Citizen Free Press has linked to SD before, but he is thinking for himself on this issue.

President Trump will vet her and other Republican who is running, a male named Cummings I believe. PDJT will let us know which one is MAGA, border security, pro-business, etc.

Very useful post on the artistic history! These Epstein-resembling mosques are indeed much more common than I realized, and the fact that he has one on that island is very disturbing.

HOWEVER…. the “Zeus = Baal” stuff is quite simply face-palm.
Indeed, the “pedo-hysterical” religious historical revisionism I’ve been seeing is getting very annoying, and should be, to anybody who values Western Civilization. The Brock shills have done a LOT of damage.
The book “Every Historical Figure Who Is Not Jesus Is Literally a Pedophilic Satanist” is not worth reading, IMO. Just MIIIIIIGHT be a few red herrings in there.

duchess01

SteveInCO

The titles are not from Q. That’s the owner of Qmap being helpful to his reader.
For instance, Q did NOT say “If You Look Closely You Can See POTUS in the Watch Reflection”; that’s an add on by the owner of Q Map, and it represents his notion of what Q is trying to let us figure out for ourselves.

GA/FL

Thanks for clearing that up, Steve

SteveInCO

In a similar way, the chapter headings, verse numbers and even the titles of most of the books of the Bible are not original, either.
To pick an example, the earliest manuscripts of Matthew were not titled “Matthew,” they didn’t show chapter numbers nor verse numbers…in fact they didn’t even put breaks between the words. Centuries later, someone started labeling the book “Matthew” even though the book itself does not contain anything actually indicating that Matthew wrote it. It’s anonymous. (The Pauline epistles do, by contrast, name their author.)

I tend to view Gateway Pundit with a jaundiced eye principally because the writing is both over-the-top and often juvenile. Nonetheless, they often break foreign stories, especially Europe. That is the case here and the videos are self-evident. The Macron-Merkel policies continues to progress in what should have been clear from the outset.

SAVAGES!

Dora

It’s pretty hot today, you think?

GA/FL

SO FUNNY!!!
In N FL and S GA – we’ve had those heat index numbers since June!!!
SISSIES!!!!!

Dora

Alright, alright, so I’m a sissy.
But I can’t stand it any more! 🙂

duchess01

Be nice, GA/FL – you do not have temps 10 degrees below zero – so it is an extreme for them!

Gail Combs

It is the 40 below that really sucks especially when it can also get up to the 90s and even 100 on occasion in the summers.

duchess01

Most definitely – the body cannot adjust to those extremes – and some people die, too

Aubergine

I live in Montana. Sometimes it is 20-30 below zero in the winter. We commonly get 100-103 degree temps in summer.
Only difference is, it’s dry here.

GA/FL

We don’t have snow, ice, sleet either.

duchess01

Nope! Or Ice Storms – it is just hard for them – so they are not sissies – at all…just stressed.

GA/FL

We are not comparing apples to oranges, but apples to apples. Heat and humidity to heat and humidity.

duchess01

Yup – some are accustomed to the humidity – places near the water – like London sometimes – combo of both is maddening…

GA/FL

I grew up before AC in the South. We took a trip to Mexico one summer – no car AC – Brownsville and Matamoros. UNFORGETTABLE!!!

duchess01

Oh, dear – that must have been agonizing!

GA/FL

Most everybody in the south had an attic fan or window fans and screens on the windows, and opened the windows at night.

duchess01

Blowing the hot air out?

GA/FL

The attic fan was in the hall ceiling and drew cool night air into the house through the windows by circulating air up through the attic.

duchess01

Well…that works well – as long as the night air is cool – if it is humid – nope

GA/FL

We fought mildew all the time, due to the humidity.

duchess01

Horrible – mildew can ruin everything…

GA/FL

Before Electricity, folks had sleeping porches built on their houses and screens on the windows.

duchess01

Almost like sleeping outside – interesting

Gail Combs

Our heat exchanger died several years ago. We make due with space heaters in winter and a couple room A/C in summer for the two rooms we mostly use. Otherwise we cool the house with a windo fan at night and close the house up during the day (Biggest problem is the damp ==> Mold)
Out trucks including my blk pkup have not had A/C working for years.
You get used to it. I even did the cross country from Atlanta GA to LA in a jeep with no A/c packed with five cavers one summer. The back (no seats) was so blasted hot we had to unroll the sleeping bag so we did not burn ourselves on the metal.

singingsoul1

Most of Europe does not have air-conditioning. My brother was stressed a month ago because it was 40 C
I am not sure what it is in F.
St Louis can get over 100F in summer and one time I remember it was colder than Alaska. When I moved here I thought why are people complaining but soon my body adjusted and now I think 85-90 is hot.
I can take heat and cold easily my husband has a hard time when it is hot out.

duchess01

104 F – so I can see why he was stressed – extremes in temperature – even if it is from one season to another – are difficult on the mind, body, and spirit – one might think twice about being naughty – they might end up in a place where the temperature is constantly hot and uncomfortable – yes?

TheseTruths
gil00

Yikes. We are 86 in my socal area today, but we will be 93-100 every day this week. Probably have some more fires too.

para59r

I don’t remember index numbers when I was growing up so I ignore them. Meanwhile I grew up just to the north of that map, in Springfield MA. yeah we had temps in high nineties often enough in the summer so I don’t understand the concern.

Dora, I grew up in S CA…EVERY year it was at least 110 the day school started.
God bless those Teachers; we had no AC.

Parents Told They Could Lose Kids Over Unpaid School Lunches

From another Treeper…

….“A study by the Department of Children and Families in Connecticut found that out of the 88 children identified as sex trafficking victims, 86 had been involved with child welfare services prior to being trafficked.”
Northern California’s Alameda County found that a whopping 41 percent of 267 sex trafficking victims “were at one time part of the foster care system.”
The list goes on and on, state by state – to the point where former Director of the Baltimore City Department of Social Services Molly McGrath Tierney claimed in a TEDx Talk that the “Foster Care Industry” has turned their youthful charges into commodities that profit “doctors, lawyers, judges, social workers, advocates, and other organizations, an industry that can only exist by taking other people’s children, an industry that damages the very children it purports to be helping.”….”

duchess01

Why do parents not pay their bills or send kids with a bag lunch. What is wrong with parents today?
They seem not capable of anything not feeding their kids.
This really burns me they have money for all kind of other trash.

duchess01

I do not think it is intentional, sing – it may be the parents are too poor to pay – at least that was my understanding. – sometimes, a nice person gets all of the receipts – and pays for everyone – if parents are paying taxes for the upkeep of that school – those lunches should be free – imho – administrators do not need those high salaries for doing nothing but, attend meetings – but hey, that is just me…

singingsoul1

duchess01
My kids began school 45 years ago I made a bag lunch for all of them. One day a week they got to eat in school because that is all the money I could spare. I turned every penny around to make ends meet. Actually I took pride in feeding a family of 5 on $25 a week. I will not go into all details but my kids were never lacking on food and I rather would have died then rely on other people to feed my kids. They were my responsibility.
If people feel comfortable with handouts for their kids more power to them. I see what people buy and what their values are so called poor.
I have known people in the country who had very little they took care of their kids they had spotless homes were happy God fearing people . I then see people who have more are slobs squander their money on all kind of stuff and everyone feels sorry for them.
Maybe I sound hard but not really some people never learned how to manage.
I am the first one to help a truly person out who has fallen on hard times but I dislike moochers.
I used to run a pantry and saw everything.
Should kids be taken away no maybe parents need to go and be educated how to feed their kids and put them first before cigarets , booze, dying the hair and fake fingernails and make up.

duchess01

No, you do not sound hard – however – everyone is not as conscientious as you are – thrifty and good at budgeting – growing up – bag lunches were it – we could not afford to eat at school – sometimes, the poor eat at school – because that is their only meal each day – uneducated parents or other problems at home – there are slackers, too – but, most of them would pay if they could – an emergency at home might require kids to eat at school – and leave them unprepared to pay – there are all sorts of family circumstances as you have pointed out – however – I wonder why they do not sell a lunch package at the beginning of school – pre-paid – then, they could avoid the delinquency – I just think it is sad – they want to remove children from the home for such a stupid reason – I see it as an excuse to deprive parents – and/or refuse to help them – if they need it – a harsh punishment – imho

“How A Leftist Echo Chamber Became The New Norm On Campus
A pronounced and growing hostility to free markets has turned the academic humanities into an ideological echo chamber. Over the past 20 years, faculty in English, history, foreign languages, and philosophy have shifted sharply to the political left, resulting in a nearly complete exclusion of dissenting perspectives from these fields.
My previous investigation of this trend found that the most biased majors on campus are now struggling to attract new students, whereas disciplines with greater balance are seeing their majors increase. Ideological homogeneity may comfort faculty and students who already share in a common set of beliefs, but it’s also off-putting to the nearly two-thirds of incoming college freshmen who do not hail from the political left.”

Colorado State University’s online Inclusive Language Guide lists a plethora of words and phrases that should never be used by decent, tolerant, woke folk. Better still, it provides substitute words and phrases to help “communicators practice inclusive language” while ensuring that everyone on its campus feels “welcomed, respected and valued.”
The list includes the always problematic “male,” “female,” and “ladies and gentlemen,” as well as “Mr./Mrs./Ms.” (Time flies. It wasn’t all that long ago that “Ms.” was a hip, progressive, feminist term. Ms. was woke before woke was cool.) The guide helpfully points out that “male and female refers to biological sex and not gender” and proceeds to haughtily lecture readers that “[i]n terms of communication methods (articles, social media, etc.), we very rarely need to identify or know a person’s biological sex and more often are referring to gender.” Call me old-fashioned, but, whether “in terms of communication methods” or otherwise, I have found it helpful at times in my life to “identify or know” a person’s biological sex. This has been especially true when trying to reproduce.” …
“I’ll give it to you straight, normal Americans: the Left is addicted to telling you what to do — and how to act, think, and behave. We are in a culture war whether we wish to be or not. And I promise you, it won’t be a cake walk.”

Dan Bongino was talking about this on his podcast yesterday. I’m not sure whether it’s the same university, but they were banning singular pronouns (he, she, her, him) in favor of the plural (they, them) because those are gender neutral. The woman who was announcing the change broke her own rule when she referred to someone as “she.” So if you’re talking a about a female classmate, for example, you have to say “They are in my class” or “I am going to study with them after class” when you are talking about only one person. What they are doing is destroying the clarity of the language. This is not only destructive, but dangerous. Can’t wait for linguistics professors to weigh in.
It’s so utterliy stupid that it won’t last. Beyond that, I (and millions of others) won’t comply. They are making complete fools of themselves.

Paging the Big Tech Censorship Counter-Narrative… Please pick up a white courtesy phone for an important message…
The, AHEM, conservative case for giving up your freedom…
Posting here as a WARNING
Don’t buy the conservative censorship complex’s Big Tech narrative
by Casey Given | July 20, 2019 05:30 AM
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/dont-buy-the-conservative-censorship-complexs-big-tech-narrative

On Tuesday, executives from several major tech companies testified on Capitol Hill in three separate hearings about a variety of issues, ranging from the supposed lack of competition in the tech industry to the alleged censorship of conservative speech online. The hearings didn’t go too well, with several congressmen continuing to turn up the heat and blasting the executives, likely in preparation for their regulatory proposals.
They should not be so hasty. Most tech companies such as Facebook and Google are by no means monopolies, and calls of censorship are often made by actors looking to boost their public profiles, and sometimes their wallets, too. For the sake of consumers everywhere, the government should stay as far away from the internet as possible.
The prevalence of competition in the tech industry was a constant theme throughout this week’s hearings, with several key witnesses refuting the narrative that the major social media platforms are monopolies. To give one example, Facebook Director of Public Policy Matt Perault cited a laundry list of other products that have overlapping, competing functions:

Facebook faces intense competition for all of the products and services that we provide. To name a few examples, Twitter, Snapchat, Apple, iMessage, Pinterest, Skype, Telegram, Viber, Google, YouTube, and Amazon offer photo and video sharing, messaging, advertising, and other services that compete with Facebook.

It’s inherently difficult to give a perfect apples-to-apples comparison between any two tech platforms. There is no competitor to Facebook that performs all the exact same functions as Facebook, for example. If one did exist, it wouldn’t exactly have a compelling business plan since it would just be a carbon copy of a better known, more established platform. Big Tech is not like the major industries of yesteryear, where the government could simply break up a big company like AT&T or Standard Oil into several smaller ones performing the same functions as one another.
And while it may seem like today’s tech companies will last forever, the lesson of history is clear: AOL, Netscape, LiveJournal, Myspace, and so many other tech companies of the past seemed unbeatable at their heights, only to be taken down by new competitors.
So rather than promoting competition, potential government action would likely have the opposite effect, enshrining tech giants’ position of power, as regulatory red tape hurts new startups the most. As Perault correctly observed, there is still plenty of competition among tech firms; it’s just not the same type of competition as in years past.
As for complaints of censorship, the evidence simply does not pan out. A study from the Economist, for example, found no evidence of ideological bias in Google’s search results. Nevertheless, there is a clear motive for conservative pundits to claim such bias: money and fame.
Conservative commentator Dennis Prager, for instance, testified during Tuesday’s hearing before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee about Big Tech’s alleged bias. His complaints center around YouTube’s decision to not air approximately 20% of his PragerU videos for users in restricted viewing mode.
Considering that the channel deals with sensitive subjects such as the Holocaust, it’s hard to see why, for instance, computer users at elementary schools, churches, public libraries, and the like should be allowed to stumble upon his often controversial videos. Indeed, this seems to fly in the face of the very conservative values of individual autonomy, family values, and community decision-making that conservatives like Prager value. Indeed, it’s hard to take cries of “censorship” too seriously from a man whose YouTube channel still receives millions of views on almost every video.
But, of course, there’s a clear reason why Prager would cry wolf: There’s currency in victimhood. Complaining conservatives have only boosted their profiles (and thus their profits) by crying censorship and are sometimes ironically making the same calls to break up Big Tech as their political foes such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts.
Congress should know better than to give into their game. The tech industry is by no means perfect and should absolutely face intense scrutiny from consumers. However, getting government involved with the internet will have disastrous consequences — and won’t make the net a more competitive, fairer place anyway.
Casey Given (@CaseyJGiven) is a contributor to the Washington Examiner‘s Beltway Confidential blog. He is the executive director of Young Voices.

Deplorable Patriot

I need to read the rest of it, but this sentence stopped me cold.
“Most tech companies such as Facebook and Google are by no means monopolies, and calls of censorship are often made by actors looking to boost their public profiles, and sometimes their wallets, too.”
Facebook and Google are the Anheuser-Busch of the big tech world. They may not be complete monopolies, but they do have far more in the way of market share than anyone else.

Deplorable Patriot

“And while it may seem like today’s tech companies will last forever, the lesson of history is clear: AOL, Netscape, LiveJournal, Myspace, and so many other tech companies of the past seemed unbeatable at their heights, only to be taken down by new competitors.”
And that doesn’t touch all the services Google owns that were developed individually, and were bought.

wolfmoon1776

The trouble is, once intelligence agencies have their hooks deeply into big tech players, they DON’T undergo natural turnover.

Linda

They cited an Economist study to show their is no bias??? Isn’t that a Rothschild rag?

michaelh

I don’t know who owns it, but to paraphrase, yet they quoted a known LEFTIST source to magically prove that Conservatives are wrong. Nevermind the blatant media bias.
Yes, this is why I wanted to get this article out there – IT IS REALLY THAT BAD.

Casey has also served as director of communications at Students For Liberty and as a state policy analyst at Americans for Prosperity Foundation. Casey holds a Master’s in Public Policy from The George Washington University and a Bachelors of Arts in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley.”
My best guess is that he is living in the libertarian dream world where companies left to themselves will practice an ethic of do no harm. The facts on the ground, as well as prior history (the era of yellow journalism) show this to be completely wrong in practice. Saying “the internet doesn’t need regulation” is not the same saying “tech giants are abusing their power to swing elections in repeated, verifiable, documented ways, acting as publishers while enjoying the legal benefits of being a platform, and need to be reigned in.” The leftists that run these companies do not respect the libertarian ethos.

wolfmoon1776

Modern libertarianism has proven empirically to be the perfect perfect to kill its own good.

michaelh

Yeah it’s hardly any wonder they wanted to pair it with conservatism.

A ‘noose’ found last month at the University of Michigan Medical School turns out to have been a practice knot used in fishing after an employee came forward to ‘clear the air,’ according to MLive.
“An investigation by UM’s Division of Public Safety and Security concluded the spool rope used for medical procedures was being used by a person on a break to practice tying a “Uni Knot,” which is a type of knot used for fishing. After the spool was returned to the storage area, the knot was still in place and discovered the following day by an employee. -MLive”
The ‘noose’ was fashioned out of a rope typically used for traction following surgical procedures, according to DPSS Director of Strategic Communications Heather Young, who noted that the loose end of the rope was tied in the knot while still connected to the spool.”

The moral hysterias of the godless left are now CLEARLY among the nuttiest of all time, despite the fact that Marxists of the 60’s and 70’s accused religion over and over of owning the craziest moral hysterias in history.

It’s been a LONG TIME since critical thinking and logic were required in the undergraduate curriculum.

“Missing Minnesota Toddler Drove Himself Down to County Fair On His Toy Tractor
How far can a little one really go?
A toy tractor that a 2-year-old boy drove to a local fair is seen in a photo provided by the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office on July 18, 2019.
Well, one determined Minnesota 2-year-old got himself all the way down to the county fair, according to the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office received a call Friday night about a missing toddler, according to a Facebook post from the office.
But the determined tyke wasn’t in danger — he just decided he wasn’t done at the fair.
The young boy hopped on his battery-powered John Deere tractor toy and drove it down the sidewalk to a back entrance of the festivities, according to CNN affiliate KMBC.
The journey was a little over a block, according to Sgt. Jason Foster.
Sheriff’s deputies found him next to the Tilt-a-Whirl, his favorite ride, the station reported.
“He was reunited with Dad,” the sheriff’s office said, “who promptly suspended his son’s license by removing the battery from it.”comment image

Goal is to use XMPP with end to end encryption. Mastodon’s DM system is horrendous and has massive privacy flaws. Please be patient as we work out an encrypted solution to enhance your privacy on Gab in DMs.
-Start looking into improving threading and the reply sections

Androgynization of Humanity is their goal, clearly.

michaelh

“Androgynization of Humanity is their goal, clearly.”
Yep.
“Souls are neither male nor female, when they no longer marry nor are given in marriage; and is not woman transformed into man, when she is become equally unfeminine, and manly, and perfect?”
– The Gospel of Thomas, saying 114
The Gnostics were keen on eliminating female to only male. Today’s goal is the same, though the means is different: eliminate male to only female.
The ancient world considered men superior, while the contemporary world sees men as inferior. See, that’s considered “progressive”.

Sometime this summer I’m going to have to try to photograph the Milky Way. In the northern hemisphere the central portion (in Sagittarius) tends to be low in the southern sky. (I’ve got to somehow make it to a star party in Australia someday.)

Well when you put it THAT way, TTT, we can wait an eternity 😊✝️

I’ve had some real busy Saturdays more recently… Had already picked a topic earlier in the week, but still needed to pull my story together. Thanks for understanding!

wolfmoon1776

Not a problem! Don’t mind the kids waiting just outside the kitchen for the hot cookies! The waiting is part of the deal! 😉

Uh, Oh, why do I foresee bad things being done with this invention?
