In researching for the prayer post earlier this week, I came across the following story of a family returning to their home town in Iraq after ISIS was finally driven out. It is told from the perspective of the young daughter and includes video of earlier interviews from the time when her family was in exile in Egypt.
This is a beautiful story of resilience anchored in hope.
Assessing Situations
The lyrics from Kenny Rogers song, The Gambler, succinctly sum up the necessary task of discerning the right response to a high stakes environment. If you judge the situation correctly you can sometimes take in big winnings, just stay in the game for future wins, move on or live another day.

Jesus’ Parable About Investment
Jesus often taught principles of the Kingdom of Heaven using stories (parables). In the following parable, Jesus is gently directing his disciples attention away from their expectation of God’s immediate judgment coming to earth, wiping out their enemies, and the restoration of Paradise for the righteous among them.
As you read through it, consider your own expectations. What you expect from God. From the White Hats. And, most important of all, what do you expect from yourself?
11 While he had their attention, and because they were getting close to Jerusalem by this time and expectation was building that God’s kingdom would appear any minute, he told this story:

26 “He said, ‘That’s what I mean: Risk your life and get more than you ever dreamed of. Play it safe and end up holding the bag.“

And so we come to the very heart of this exploration.
How do we assess the appropriate response when the place where we live is in outright rebellion to our Heavenly King and His ways?
Whether it’s Baltimore or Broward County, Cleveland or California, the right move for you and your family will require discernment. We can all agree that these places come with a higher level of toxicity than other places.
What is a Toxic Environment?
Chernobyl comes to mind. But did you know that plant and animal life around the reactor is stronger and more diverse than before the accident? From an Institute for Creation Research article just published this week (emphasis added):
“Interestingly, in addition to this innate resilience to radiation, some plants in the Chernobyl exclusion zone seem to be using extra mechanisms to protect their DNA, changing its chemistry to make it more resistant to damage, and turning on systems to repair it if this doesn’t work [added emphasis].” His observations coincide with research on the progeny of Arabidopsis plants from Chernobyl.
Several Russian scientists discovered that when exposed to high radiation there was a resistance to mutations through a more than 10-fold decreased frequency of extrachromosomal homologous recombination, major differences in the expression of genes controlling DNA-repair and for proteins removing dangerous free radicals, and a higher level of global genome methylation.
Other research on several bird species at Chernobyl found that they also have internal mechanisms for detecting free radical molecules that are a byproduct of radiation exposure and then up-regulate mechanisms for DNA repair.
Because all DNA damage was repaired more quickly, radiation-exposed birds surprisingly “may even obtain beneficial hormetic effects following an adaptive response.”
It is now obvious that creatures have innate mechanisms that enable them to self-adjust to a higher range of radiation than anticipated. The existence of these systems precedes radiation exposure—Chernobyl was a unique radiation producing event—as there has not been enough time for them to have developed due to evolutionary “tinkering” via “trial-and-error” struggles to survive.
… [T]he Institute for Creation Research has been promoting an organism-focused, design-based model of adaptation called Continuous Environmental Tracking (CET).
This model explains what organisms are doing when they adapt. The organism-focused arm of the framework hypothesizes that: organisms possess internal mechanisms that enable them to actively and continuously track environmental variables and respond by self-adjusting to changing environments—which results in their adaptation.
The other design-based arm assumes that these internal mechanisms utilize the same engineering principles that constrain how human-designed objects self-adjust to changes.
CET postulates that how organisms adapt is via innate systems with elements analogous to those within human-engineered tracking systems, namely: input sensors, internal logic mechanisms to select suitable responses, and actuators to execute responses. CET, therefore, expects that the creatures’ self-adjustments would be characterized as regulated, rapid, and targeted to specific challenges.

The Foolish Servant
In the parable above, the foolish servant was a complete failure at adaptation. Maybe he saw the rebellion fomenting and buried his master’s money in hopes of cashing in if the rebellion succeeded. Maybe he just was really afraid of loss and that’s why he hid it.
But look at the admonition of the King to this foolish servant, “Why didn’t you at least invest the money in securities so I would have gotten a little interest on it?”
Apparently, Jesus wants his followers to understand that He rewards smart risk taking for potential gain and will be more pleased with someone gaining a little in a very safe investment rather than not investing what they have been given at all.

His work reminds me of a story that takes place during the settling of the “promised land” by the Israelites. Certain tribes wanted to settle on the east side of the Jordan river which had already been conquered. This would be allowed, but the stipulation was that they had to agree to send their fighting men to the west side to help take the whole of the land for their nation before they could enjoy the peace of their own territory.
Your wives, your children and your livestock may stay in the land that Moses gave you east of the Jordan, but all your fighting men, ready for battle, must cross over ahead of your fellow Israelites. You are to help them until the Lord gives them rest, as he has done for you, and until they too have taken possession of the land the Lord your God is giving them. After that, you may go back and occupy your own land, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you east of the Jordan toward the sunrise.” Then they answered Joshua, “Whatever you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.”

In Scott’s case, he is traveling around the country to invest his talents in whatever way benefits all patriotic Americans. He is fighting for us! May the Lord guide, protect and equip this young man for what lies ahead in his life.

Later in Israel’s history, their land was conquered and the people were carried away captive to Babylon. God gave their prophet, Jeremiah, instructions to help them know how to respond to this upheaval.
“This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says to all those I carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: “Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce. Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease.”
Jeremiah 29:4-6
Now imagine the risk of following these instructions. What if the situation changes and you are able to return to your homeland quickly? What if the Babylonians decide to relocate you and all your work is for nothing? Quite the risky investment.
And yet, they are told to pour their sweat equity into building houses, growing food and making big families. They are to seek the welfare of the city where they have been placed–while remaining in captivity!
As it turned out, they were there for some 70 years. Those that heeded the words of the prophet would be coming out of captivity strong and prosperous.

In the case of the Iraqi Christian family returning to Qaraqosh (mentioned at the top of this article), they are returning to their hometown which has been bombed, looted, nearly destroyed–with about half of the original residents choosing to not return to rebuild. A different set of risks, but certainly made the choice to return and invest in the community they came from instead of seeking refuge in another, perhaps safer, place.
So back to that pesky question…
How do we assess the appropriate response when the place where we live is in outright rebellion to our Heavenly King and His ways?
I don’t think there is a simple answer.
It’s true that for some people there comes a point in time when they just know in their hearts it is time to leave. And for others it is just as clear that they are to stay and “pray to the Lord” on the behalf of the city God has placed them in.
Many will spend a long time working out what is right for them. But that is the journey and no one else can tell anyone what is the right path for another. I have deep respect for anyone that takes that journey. A journey of truly seeking God’s highest and best purpose for them no matter the cost.
May God grant us all discernment, wisdom, and peace in the process.

A good lesson – and not an easy one, either.
Risks and rewards are an interesting thing. I look back over my life and see all the narrow escapes – all the lucky breaks. But of all the lessons learned, the most important, I think, was the most basic – the Ten Commandments. I have skipped SO MUCH desolation – have walked harmlessly through SO MANY traps – by simply obeying the BASIC commands as requested. Trying to accomplish too much never works for me. But trying to fulfill the basics completely and strongly does.

It is not just a civil war of information. Twenty dead people yesterday, how many other dead from these other shootings? And it is not getting better.
It will be an effing cold comfort for their families to find out someday that the good guys felt they were considered acceptable collateral damage in this war of information.
And another thing, what this amounts to is the so-called white hats making judgments on our behalf and fooling us that is exactly what the evil elements in gov’t are doing. What kind of damn tipping point do they need? Who says there will be widespread chaos if the evil is exposed and stopped now? There is chaos now with every event we are seeing.
On the one hand we hear that our President is slated for another even more overwhelming win in 2020, but that’s not enough yet to do the right thing, bring the public up to speed and save Americans from frequent slaughter at the hands of our domestic enemies?
And if, as Q supposedly warned us a few days ago, if Q knows shit is going down but is either unable or unwilling to specify and SAVE us or STOP it, what the eff good is the Plan?
Q seems like the exact kind of dirty operation that is designed to keep us pacified and holding on for some eventual gamer’s dream of saving the world.

The white hats may have indications that FF are going down (Q crumb be vigilant) but they probably DO NOT have enough information to STOP or CONVICT. We have ZERO idea of just how many of these FF HAVE been stopped because that would never be made public.
From the looks of it, SEVERAL ‘Cells’ have been activated and that is why we are seeing 3 mass shootings within a week.

So so far it has not been a ‘physical Civil War’ because they Commies have, generally speaking, not managed to force Deplorables to retaliate despite provocation. And they certainly have not managed a major uprising. The Commies always seem to miscalculate when it comes to getting the ‘Working Class’ to rebell.

IF it is legal to carry, and the person is confident to carry (safety, State and local laws), then carry.
The odds of needing to defend oneself with a gun are small. Not even probable.
BUT, it is absolutely 100% possible one will need to defend themselves, family… So carry.
I have read two accounts of armed people in El Paso yesterday. One at the mall (retired Army guy) and one at the Walmart. They were not in a position to engage the shooter(s), who were apparently very much on the move.

I could posit the far larger juxtaposition of families sending their children off to die in war for some far away, amorphous purpose. How do we suggest they balance their ledger?
I have the memory of being barely out of middle school (1963) and seeing the impact on my mother as she watched a pair of uniformed Marines coming up the walk…In this instance my brother didn’t die. As fortune would have it, he would live a full though PTSD marred life, only to succumb finally, to agent orange. How do we square that ledger? That’s one family out of some 150,000 wounded and over 58,000 killed. Add to that all of our other wars and you have a breathtaking horizon.
By 1865, some 2.5% of the population, an estimated 750,000 lost their lives in the Civil War. if this was a percentage of today’s population, the toll would have been 7.6 million killed. (And we have commies demanding slave reparations…the reparations were paid by all those millions of family members who lost so much! But that’s how the design works when we are denied our own history.)
As regards the great war that we’re currently engaged in for hearts minds and souls…yeah there’s cold comfort for the families of the very real casualties. What is to be done?!
At least they signed up for it, had some idea of the dangers, and had a gun in their hand.

Those who are paying any attention at all already know. If the government put out a “warning” of a potential mass shooting, somewhere in the U.S., sometime in the next week, what difference would that make? Do you think any of those poor people killed yesterday would have stayed home based on that warning? Or illegally carried a concealed weapon into that gun-free zone?
The information that WE ARE IN DANGER is widely available, and has been. These events are plastered across all media. It changes some people’s behavior, but not all.
We are having war waged against us. It’s as basic as that.
We sure as hell deserve the chance to make that decision. Lots of people with ccl don’t always carry.
But you don’t think that we deserve to know our danger…in an official manner?
I don’t care how many people understand this because of Q or whatever. As an American citizen my gov’t owes me an accurate assessment of the risks involved in going shopping while there is a war between good and evil going on in the IC.
It’s clear that the Left is using these situations to steer and control the narrative. They are being allowed to blanket the airwaves with propaganda, while suppressing those who seek the truth.
I don’t give a crap what the odds are of being involved in these situations. Tell that to the victims and their families.

I am not trying to be contrary, really. It is just obvious to me that this could happen anytime, anywhere. I don’t know this because of Q. It is frustrating, but we have to keep questioning and searching for the truth. Q encourages us, allowing us to believe that someone is working to clean things up and stop this kind of lying control over us. I know that Pres. Trump is doing his best, too. Actually, they’re the same pants – cargo pants. This is simply a lighting effect.
Allow me to explain.
First of all, by magnifying the “in the lot” picture, you can see that they ARE cargo pants, but that the POCKETS are empty when he is being arrested.
When he ENTERS (allegedly), the pockets are likely bulging because they contain at least TWO EXTRA 20 or 30 round magazines. This bunches up the fabric everywhere (I know cargo pants and the like), and this is what is creating shadows which make the following EVEN WORSE.
NOW – about the color of the pants. i believe it’s the same. Look at his SKIN. The lightening of his face from entrance camera to outdoors is approximately what the pants would be, IMO, if it’s the same pair of pants. This is purely a lighting issue, IMO.

One thing that seems a bit off…all regular news and Dayton PD, none that I’ve seen is reporting the shooter being white male. Either it’s not or they’ve gone outside the norm of immediately identifying any white shooter..as white right away.

When I got up this morning and turned on the TV news a spokesman in Ohio was referring to the Oregon District as the locale of the latest mass shooting. Since we have a town in the greater Portland area named Dayton, I at first thought there had been a mass shooting in that sleepy little burb. I was relieved to find it had been in Ohio instead.
It’s terrible these things are happening anywhere, but the farther away from me the better. Guess I’m just selfish that way. I really don’t care to get shot by some millennial moron.

There is a sickness in some young people who lost a sense of right and wrong that justifies in their mind to shoot at innocent people. They do not seem to comprehend that it is not a game . Some biogas are dangerous for some young people whose brain is not fully developed and their sense of empathy gets distorted.
There was a time one could dislike people and not act on it in a negative violent way. God is missing in these peoples life. As I was told “we take our children to church so they know the difference good from evil.”

The thing that bothers me most is that illegals are called immigrants that cheapens the legal immigrant states.
This is a supporting factor in my James Comey theory, which I freely admit is a theory. Remember when he got canned, and his office was raided and there was a ton of evidence and information there? I really do think there is a possibility that he was one of The Plan people sent in behind enemy lines early, in his case to sit on evidence that would have been destroyed or otherwise tainted in some way.
The trouble with these theories is that they turn everybody on our side into extremely long-running actors and liars, when all I have to do otherwise is come up with a similar theory where truth-tellers alone are telling the truth, and liars ALONE are liars.
I can even account for Comey keeping all that evidence – he was simply DOING A HILLARY, since hiding records is one of her primary techniques of influencing court cases and hearings.
So, feel free to argue for the “White Hat Comey” theory, but I just don’t find it compelling, personally. I can’t rule it out, but I just don’t find it compelling.

Curious about just how much of his data Google had, web developer Dylan Curran says he downloaded his Google data file, which is offered by the company in a hub called “My Account.” This hub was created in 2015, along with a tool called “My Activity.” The report issued is similar to the one Facebook delivers to its users upon request. Whether or not these reports are comprehensive is still up in the air, but Curran says his was 5.5 GB, which is almost ten times larger than the one Facebook offered him. His limitations have now become a shared limitation within the group. Those with “sensory defensiveness” truly do suffer and often become shut-ins. But the way this is being done is about the minority dominating the majority–and not in a healthy way.
Here’s a different example. If someone has multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) and they want to be part of the church choir, then every one has to avoid perfumes in order to keep that one choir member from suffering a closed airway or worse.
This is something that has to be worked out within the group or by the director of the choir. But someone is going to have to accommodate somebody else.
