LIVE THREAD: Nad-less Versus The Honey Badger

NEW EDIT: It’s on for today, just delayed. Welcome to the discussion.

As Mr. Nadler reportedly was in a car accident this morning, the hearing has been postponed. When it actually happens, I’ll revive the thread.

Are we ready for this? Are we ready for Attorney General William Barr to sit before the man who calls Antifa a hoax to answer questions on…well, whatever petty little insult Jerry Nadler, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, who has been in the House of Representatives for entirely too long can come up with. in relation to Russiagate. I mean this is the man who has some serious issues with reality.

Deh Nile ain’t just a river in Egypt, folks.

Okay, so I may or may not be around to moderate this morning as I hear my sister has plans for me outside of the house, so here’s the live thread for all note taking, Tweets, video clips, and high and low lights of the main event. I will find a live thread or two before heading out.

I put this in the comments, but it should be here as well. This is the PDF of Honey Badger’s opening statement:

Maybe we’ll get lucky and get another one of these moments:

Pretty, huh?

Okay, viral video of the day if you haven’t seen it. This was live streamed from in front of the Supreme Court building in Washington, D.C. A number of physicians from all over the country came together to talk some truth about COVID-19. By far the star of the show was Dr. Stella Immanuel, a Nigerian native who now lives in Texas. Her remarks begin just after the three minute mark of this particular video:

The original Breitbart video of this presentation was taken down for “violating community standards.” If this video does not appear, it will be replaced. There are multiple links to the five minutes of magnificence.

6:52 am EDIT: All online videos of that press conference are being HEAVILY censored across the Big Club Family of social media platforms. The physicians’ information presented is being labeled “misinformation” and false even if there is documented evidence it is not. Here is a presentation on the censoring:

I found this in my Twitter feed last week. It’s worth your time.

A little mood music:

And a reminder to take the pledge:

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

And now for the nitty gritty of the Q Tree 5 minute, stand up, Tuesday morning meeting version of the Daily Thread.

Ahem.

The discourse on this site is to be CIVIL – no name calling, baiting, or threatening others here is allowed. Those who are so inclined may visit Wolf’s other sanctuary, the U-Tree, to slog it out with anyone who happens to still be hanging out there.

This site is a celebration of the natural rights endowed to humans by our Creator as well as those enshrined in the Bill of Rights adopted in the founding documents of the United States of America. Within the limits of law, how we exercise these rights is part of the freedom of our discussion.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

JER 14:17-22

Let my eyes stream with tears
day and night, without rest,
Over the great destruction which overwhelms
the virgin daughter of my people,
over her incurable wound.
If I walk out into the field,
look! those slain by the sword;
If I enter the city,
look! those consumed by hunger.
Even the prophet and the priest
forage in a land they know not.

Have you cast Judah off completely?
Is Zion loathsome to you?
Why have you struck us a blow
that cannot be healed?
We wait for peace, to no avail;
for a time of healing, but terror comes instead.
We recognize, O LORD, our wickedness,
the guilt of our fathers;
that we have sinned against you.
For your name’s sake spurn us not,
disgrace not the throne of your glory;
remember your covenant with us, and break it not.
Among the nations’ idols is there any that gives rain?
Or can the mere heavens send showers?
Is it not you alone, O LORD,
our God, to whom we look?

As always, prayers for the fight against that which seeks to enslave us are welcome. Via con Dios.
