2024·04·06 Joe Biden Didn’t Win Daily Thread

What is it that feeds our battle, yet starves our victory?

January 6 Tapes?

Where are the tapes? Anyone, Anyone? Bueller? Johnson??

Paging Speaker Johnson…this is your conscience calling you out on broken promises.

Boebert Day

Friday was the day that delegates from all over Colorado’s 4th Congressional District met to designate a candidate. This is Ken B*ck’s old district. Lauren Boebert who now represents Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, has moved into this district believing that she has a better chance of winning here. Her election in 2022 was the closest race for Congress anywhere in the United States; she won by a few hundred votes.

OK a bit of personal background. I live in El Paso county; that’s the one where Colorado Springs is located. It’s actually the most populous county in Colorado (even beating out the City and County of Denver). As a result of the last census, Colorado gained an eighth house seat and everything got redistricted. My old congressional district, 5 (Doug Lamborn, who is also leaving) had formerly included El Paso County and a bunch of smaller surrounding counties, now CD5 can’t even cover the whole county. A bit on the west side of the county got shaved off and given to CD 7, my piece on the east, on the prairie, got shaved off and handed over to CD4.

Finding myself in Ken B*ck’s district I have said several times that I wished I were in Boebert’s district. With her making this move…well now I am…but first she has to win the election!

It’s a near certainty that the Republican nominee will win the district; the problem is to ensure that Lauren Boebert becomes the nominee.

I was an alternate to this assembly but did manage to fill in for someone who didn’t show, so now delegate SteveInCO had the opportunity to vote.

Four candidates were vying for the nomination at the assembly. Boebert, some guy named Ted Harvey, someone else named Richard Holtorf and yet another named Jerry Sonnenberg.

As it turns out, the other three are verifiable RINOs with scores in the 60s (100=perfect conservative) though in the case of Harvey I had to talk to another former state legislator who worked with him to find it out; his term was too long ago.

Of course every single one of them talked a good game…Did you know that they are all ranchers? No? You would within five minutes of arriving at the assembly; every one of their signs said “rancher” on it.

An observer from Mars would be forgiven for concluding, on the basis of their speeches, that all four were equally conservative. (This is why listening to the speeches is pointless. However, IF you’ve been around long enough to know who the old retired RINOs are, you can sometimes figure things out by watching WHO is doing the nominating.)

So after the speeches it was time to vote. (And yes one of the other three went out of his way to say he wasn’t a carpetbagger from Rifle, and I could hear people’s surprise that he would attempt to call out Boebert that way; generally candidates at these things do not sling mud at each other.)

And at 12:20 on Friday, April 5, I happily cast my ballot for Lauren Boebert.

That felt good.

And it has been many years I could feel good casting a ballot (with the exception of the presidential primary on Super Tuesday).

So here’s the deal. To get to go to this assembly, you must attend precinct caususes; each precinct is assigned a number of delegates in proportion to the number of people who voted for the Republican candidate for governor the last gubernatorial election. (That really should be spelled goober-natorial.) At the caucus they vote for people to go. I failed to get into this (but did get into county and state house level assemblies) but secured an alternate slot. If enough people from my county failed to show up I could replace one of them. As it happens, out of 7 delegates total, one did not show up, and I was the only alternate from my county, and I got “elevated”…and so I got to vote for Boebert. (El Paso County, the 900 lb gorilla of the state, only had 7 delegates here…because only a tiny sliver of the county got put into this congressional district.)

OK so here are the rules: only candidates who get 30 percent of the vote are considered “designated” and will appear on the primary ballot. UNLESS the candidate also gets an adequate number of signatures by petition, in which case the threshold is ten percent. This is a major problem, as I will explain below.

In any case the final vote tally (with 159 votes being 30 percent, or 53 votes being ten percent) is: Boebert 215, Ted Harvey 135, Richard Holtorf 81, and Jerry Sonnenberg getting 96 votes. So only Lauren Boebert would appear on the primary ballot.

Except for those damn petitions.

Under Colorado law, you can petition onto the primary ballot and completely bypass these assemblies. Almost every incumbent GOP politician does this; they’re generally despised by the party grassroots because…they’re RINOs. Or you can petition AND go to the assembly and be designated with only ten percent of the vote.

In this case, Harvey did not petition at all, so he is out of the race, and good riddance. However Holtorf and Sonnenberg did petition (perhaps unsuccessfully, I don’t know yet) and therefore WILL be on the ballot if they were successful.

There is at least one other candidate, Flora (I don’t know if that’s a first or last name) who petitioned on and did not go through the assembly; she (?) will be on the primary ballot. There may be others.

The one bit of good news is that assembly winners go on the ballot above the petitioners.

The reason I said petitioning is a problem is that Incumbent politicians use the petition process to circumvent the party grassroots. They don’t have to pay any attention to us whatsoever; they hire someone to gather signatures for them, they end up on the primary ballot with no indication of how they got there (other than they aren’t top line on the ballot), and because of name recognition they win the primary, again. Petitioning needs to either be ditched, or require a 20% showing at the relevant assembly. But this will never happen, the incumbents know they can’t get re-elected without the petition process, so it will remain required by law, because they won’t change the law.

Other races decided on Friday were state school board…where a RINO and a good candidate ended up almost tied, so both will be on the primary ballot, and my house district (at a totally separate meeting), where there were two good people and one RINO, however his home base county (whose people he has snookered) had half of the delegates in that assembly. So it was a 50-25-25 split and the RINO will be on the ballot unopposed (no petitioners for this race). The incumbent, by the way, is a RINO who has brain cancer; he opted not to run.

I still have the (unused because unnecessary) second round ballot from the House 4th CD race; it’s going to become a treasured souvenir of the first time I got to vote for Lauren Boebert. I even have a picture of it:

Saturday (today) will be the election of RNC committee people; three candidates, the incumbent talks too much about being Hispanic and endorsed RINO McDaniel in 2022 (HELL NO!), of the two others, one has managed to turn Pueblo County red (former union democrat stronghold) and will get my vote. The third one has been spamming me a lot (almost as much as the incumbent) and I’ve been ignoring her.

News Flash

Today, it is still the case that Joe Biden didn’t Win.

I realize that to some readers, this might be a shock; surely at some point things must change and Biden will have actually won.

But the past cannot actually be changed.

It will always and forever be the case that Joe Biden didn’t win.

And if you, Leftist Lurker, want to dismiss it as dead white cis-male logic…well, you can call it what you want, but then please just go fuck off. No one here buys that bullshit–logic is logic and facts are facts regardless of skin color–and if you gave it a moment’s rational thought, you wouldn’t either. Of course your worthless education never included being able to actually reason–or detect problems with false reasoning–so I don’t imagine you’ll actually wake up as opposed to being woke.

As Ayn Rand would sometimes point out: Yes, you are free to evade reality. What you cannot do is evade the consequences of evading reality. Or to put it concretely: You can ignore the Mack truck bearing down on you as you play in the middle of the street, you won’t be able to ignore the consequences of ignoring the Mack truck.

And Ayn Rand also pointed out that existence (i.e., the sum total of everything that exists) precedes consciousness–our consciousnesses are a part of existence, not outside of it–therefore reality cannot be a “social construct” as so many of you fucked-up-in-the-head people seem to think.

So much for Leftist douchebag lurkers. For the rest of you, the regular readers and those lurkers who understand such things: I continue to carry the banner once also carried by Wheatie. His Fraudulency didn’t win.

Let’s Go, Brandon!!

Hey China!

Or rather, “Hey Chinese Communist Party and your entire array of servitors, ass-wipers, and fellators!”

You’re not even worth my time this week. When you decide to act like civilized people, maybe I’ll give you a lesson or two in how non-barbarians behave.

Hey BiteMe!
(Or, Whoever Has Their Hand Rammed Up That Putrefying Meat Puppet’s Ass)

[Language warning]

You and yours have caused a lot of injury. Literal injury with your war on people who don’t want to take an untested vaccine. When people die in an emergency room because a hospital won’t admit them because they haven’t had their clot shot, that’s a crime.

I’m going to address here the insult on top of the injury, because I am among the insulted. I still have my health but apparently you want me to live under the 8th Street Bridge (which actually isn’t on 8th Street, but whatever, that’s what the I-25 overpass over Cimarron is called), so maybe if you have your way that won’t be true for long. Dreadful time of year to become homeless.

No, you’re just trying to make me unemployed, because I won’t take your fucking shots.

Well, that threat is NOT going to work. I. Won’t. Take. Your. Fucking. Shots.

And it looks like enough people agree, that you’re having to back down, you worthless asswipe.

You’re LOSING.

You Chinese-bought ratfucking traitor.

I would love to see you die an agonizing, humiliating death. (This isn’t a threat, because I am not threatening to cause that death. I am just announcing my intention to party if it happens.) It would be just recompense for the way you’re killing America…and millions of Americans.

His Fraudulency

Joe Biteme, properly styled His Fraudulency, continues to infest the White House, we haven’t heard much from the person who should have been declared the victor, and hopium is still being dispensed even as our military appears to have joined the political establishment in knuckling under to the fraud.

One can hope that all is not as it seems.

I’d love to feast on that crow.

(I’d like to add, I find it entirely plausible, even likely, that His Fraudulency is also His Figureheadedness. (Apparently that wasn’t a word; it got a red underline. Well it is now.) Where I differ with the hopium addicts is on the subject of who is really in charge. It ain’t anyone we like.)

Justice Must Be Done.

The prior election must be acknowledged as fraudulent, and steps must be taken to prosecute the fraudsters and restore integrity to the system.

Nothing else matters at this point. Talking about trying again in 2024 is hopeless otherwise. Which is not to say one must never talk about this, but rather that one must account for this in ones planning; if fixing the fraud is not part of the plan, you have no plan.

Lawyer Appeasement Section

OK now for the fine print.

This is the WQTH Daily Thread. You know the drill. There’s no Poltical correctness, but civility is a requirement. There are Important Guidelines,  here, with an addendum on 20191110.

We have a new board – called The U Tree – where people can take each other to the woodshed without fear of censorship or moderation.

And remember Wheatie’s Rules:

1. No food fights
2. No running with scissors.
3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.
4. Zeroth rule of gun safety: Don’t let the government get your guns.
5. Rule one of gun safety: The gun is always loaded.
5a. If you actually want the gun to be loaded, like because you’re checking out a bump in the night, then it’s empty.
6. Rule two of gun safety: Never point the gun at anything you’re not willing to destroy.
7. Rule three: Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
8. Rule the fourth: Be sure of your target and what is behind it.

(Hmm a few extras seem to have crept in.)

Spot Prices.

Kitco Ask. Last week:

Gold $2,234.00
Silver $25.04
Platinum $918.00
Palladium $1,038.00
Rhodium $5,150.00

This week, markets closed as of 3PM MT.

Gold $2,330.20
Silver $27.54
Platinum $936.00
Palladium $1,026.00
Rhodium $5,150.00

Gold has been going up, and up, and up. It touched $2300 on Wednesday, dipped on Thursday, and more than made up for the dip on Friday. And Silver Finally Woke Up. It was $2.50 over the previous week, just shy of a ten percent increase. (Gold went up less than five percent.)

Gold is well above the magic $2,067 mark. That’s the point at which the dollar is worth one cent in gold by the old gold standard of one troy ounce of gold is $20.67. Does that mean the dollar is worth a real penny? I would say it probably has more purchasing power than a cent did in the 1920s, but then we’ve gotten better at producing things…what you should see with stable money is a decline in prices as we get more productive. Instead we get a steady inflation. Sometimes very strong, but never do prices trend down. Gee, I wonder what that could be about.

(I think we all know.)

The Eclipse

Of course the big news in the hard sciences is the upcoming solar eclipse.

I won’t belabor what an eclipse is…especially since I did so a few months ago in a combined Annular/Total article: https://www.theqtree.com/2023/09/30/2023%C2%B709%C2%B730-joe-biden-didnt-win-daily-thread/ .

But I will show this map of the path of the eclipse.

A bit of a joke there but it highlights the point that only totality is going to be something more than mildly interesting. If you can get to that O! M! G! stripe, do so; the closer to the center the better.

Weather is looking bad through all of Texas with slightly better chances of good weather near the border with Mexico. But chances are, we’ll have this to say on Tuesday.

As has been pointed out a solar eclipse occurs somewhere on Earth roughly every 18 months or so. These are not rare events in that sense. But it can be centuries between occurrences at any one particular spot on Earth, so they seem like truly unusual events. Most people must travel to see one during their lifetimes. (And some make it their rather expensive hobby to try to see them all; these people are called “eclipse chasers.”)

Well I am part eclipse chaser. I’m going to this just in case the weather turns out better than expected.

See you on the 9th.

Since Wednesday, January 20 at Noon EST, the bought-and-paid for His Fraudulency Joseph Biden has been in the White House. It’s as good as having China in the Oval Office.

Joe Biden is Asshoe

China is in the White House, because Joe Biden is in the White House, and Joe Biden is identically equal to China. China is Asshoe. Therefore, Joe Biden is Asshoe.

But of course the much more important thing to realize:

That is quite clever. 😆

Good report from The Belly of the Beast, where the RINOs come out to play.

Thanks, Steve!

From Badlands News Brief

Lauren Boebert hospitalized, underwent surgery for blood clot, campaign says

Rep. Lauren Boebert was taken to a Colorado hospital after experiencing severe swelling in one of her legs on Monday, her campaign team said in a statement on Tuesday night. Doctors found a blood clot, and the congresswoman was diagnosed with May-Thurner Syndrome.

On Tuesday morning, Boebert underwent surgery to remove the clot and insert a stent. Her team says the surgery was successful. Doctors at UCHealth Medical Center in Loveland say she’s expected to make a full recovery and don’t expect any long-term health effects….

Sounds NASTY! I hope it is not from the Clot Shot.

WebMDMay-Thurner Syndrome: Causes, Symptoms, Diagnosis, Treatment

April 19, 2022 –

May-Thurner syndrome boosts your odds of getting deep vein thrombosis (DVT).

May-Thurner syndrome, also known as iliac vein compression syndrome or Cockett’s syndrome, affects two blood vessels that go to your legs. It could make you more likely to have a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) in your left leg…

This condition involves your right iliac artery, which carries blood to your right leg, and the left iliac vein, which brings blood out of your left leg toward your heart.

In May-Thurner syndrome, the right iliac artery squeezes the left iliac vein when they cross each other in your pelvis. Because of that pressure, blood can’t flow as freely through the left iliac vein…

The result: You’re more likely to get a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in your left leg. A DVT is a type of blood clot that can be very serious. It’s not just that it can block blood flow in your leg. It can also break off and cause a clot in your lung. That’s called a pulmonary embolism, and it can be life-threatening….

Seems Boebert is rather young for DVT, but that is an uneducated guess.

Until Boebert with DVT, I’d have guessed Boebert was not Jabbed. Prolly is.

From what Yours Truly can find online as of today, Rep. Boebert is not “vaccinated” against COVID-19.
Does this mean that her DVT diagnosis (May-Thurner Syndrome is a rare condition that sometimes just “appears”, even in healthy people) is correct?
Or was she exposed to COVID-19 “vaccine shedding” from other people (example, “vaccinated” members of Congress), and that resulted in the DVT?

Appreciate the feedback and insights.

With your information, AND my understanding, Congress and their staff NOT required to be Jabbed. Adjusted my thought to, prolly not Jabbed.

I’m going 50/50 on her being jabbed. Some may have gotten taken in by the initial fear bombardment before a lot of info about the poison that they are came out

Unfortunately, with 70% of this country jabbed, it’s likely we’ve all been exposed to vaccine shedding and are thus more likely to get some of these health issues.

IMO, this is correct. The difference is that “unvaccinated” persons still have a chance to mitigate/reduce/even eliminate, the negative effects of COVID-19 “vaccines” elements that may shed onto them from “vaccinated” persons. On the other hand, “vaccinated” persons, especially if they keep taking COVID-19 “vaccines”, may not be able to mitigate/reduce/even eliminate, the negative effects of these products in their bodies.

This is why taking one or more in rotation of Nattokinase, Serrapeptase, Bromelain and other supplements can help clean the pipes from exposure from shedding or past jabs.

I take at least one and most days two of them every day. My blood work is normal in every category now.

Good advice.

“This is why taking one or more in rotation of Nattokinase, Serrapeptase, Bromelain and other supplements…”

Are these three essentially the same?

I tried Nattokinase for a few days, with food, and it felt like I was getting a stomach ulcer. Stopped taking it after 3 days, and a day or two later, the stomach pain stopped.

Wondering if there is reason to think the other two (Serrapeptase or Bromelain) might not have the same negative effect on my stomach.

I agree. Our immune systems have at least a fighting chance. More so if we take good care of them.

Was her ex-husband vaxxed, or that guy she was groping in the theater?

If so, she received the “hot beef injection.”

I’m dying here. :wpds_lol: :wpds_lol: :wpds_lol: :wpds_lol: :wpds_lol: :wpds_lol:

Passing thought, flashed though my mind, when I saw your second ballot. Flora is Floor nomination. Yea, NO.

Appreciate your recount of the nomination process and getting involved. Very informative. Something for me to look into when I finally land, east of NV.

I was trying to say you cannot both do and not do do not” 😉

Very cool that you got to vote for Lauren Boebert, Steve! But the system seems to be messed up everywhere. There are too many ways for what should be victories to be turned into defeats. Thanks for stepping up to the plate and getting involved, and for the report.

College majors that yield the highest unemployment rates. You can name them without looking. 😎

Note the only hard science is Physics. That is why Hubby #1 was a school teacher and Hubby #2 was a tech writer.

And yeah, both my husbands had degrees in physics.😂

Underwater Basket Weaving, includes a “basket” of degrees, of those commonly unemployed.

You get two bonus internet points for that comment.

Along with another cup of coffee, eggs AND bacon. DW paging, be shortly.

The Aerospace Engineering one looks peculiar until one realizes that the job market is a duopoly.

Gail Combs

That was actually a good article. AND Schlichter reframed from bashing Trump, even a little.

He’s capable of good articles, and is trying to lose that reputation.

Valerie Curren

Thanks for articulating your RNC process & getting to vote for Boebert. I hope she ultimately wins the primary for she seems to be MAGA most of the time.

I’ll be looking forward to your eclipse pics soon too! Metro Detroit is not in the path of the totality but I’ve heard on local TV news saying that we’ll have 100% eclipse, clearly a stretch. I’m guessing it might be better than 95%. Our city’s library is having an “eclipse party” on their grounds & I hope to attend 🙂 I’m currently distracted by doing taxes, ugh!

If I were as near as you are, I would try very hard to make it to somewhere with totality.

Incidentally, I just got a 1099 today…..nice job on timely reporting, guys!

Valerie Curren

I found a few unopened packs of 2022 tax forms that I ordered last year that were all postmarked in May. I’m still lacking a few forms for this year but have enough to do most of what needs to be done & can print off the missing ones if need be.

Thanks for the eclipse advice but we’ll probably stay close to home. Our one car needs work that we’ve been putting off until the next credit card billing cycle so we try not to drive it & increase the repair issues. When Hubby gets home from work, 2:30pm at the earliest, he’s beat so there’d be just time for me to pop over to the library, if that…we’ll see…

Valerie Curren

Well it won’t be my first…or my last. Thanks for your perspective 🙂

Gail Combs

Valerie, see if you can car pool/van pool with others.

Valerie Curren

I guess I could see if any of my kids are interested in doing so 🙂 or my parents, for that matter 😉

Gail Combs

Always try to think outside the box. That is what humans are very good at. Otherwise we would still be shivering in caves. 😆

Valerie Curren

LOL I’m not sure I can spare that much time from my procrastinated & Hated tax duties 🙁

Having seen the eclipse in 2017, I agree with Steve.

I felt the power of God in the universe like nothing else when the world hushed in the darkness. It was unreal. A transformational experience. The thousands of people I was among just went silent, as we witnessed it.

Trust me. Make the drive. Ask a friend to drive. Whatever. Just go.

^^^ THIS. ^^^

>>> Eye Popping, WTF. OMG. E V E N T. <<<

NEVER FORGOTTEN, that ya witnessed a Total eclipse.

^^^ Transformation into Total Eclipse, Total Eclipse.

If I were not literally packing up our stuff, I’d make the drive.

~17 years until the next Total Eclipse in 2043, that passes over the US.

There’s that number again.

Thank you.

Lol. Thanks, Steve. Of course you caught that.

Valerie Curren

That’s beautiful A. So glad you found it so meaningful

Valerie Curren

See my reply to Cthulhu 🙂

95%. Gosh, with a little effort, ya ought to be able to get in the Total area. A bit more, in the middle of the 100%. Somewhere I read, Total is 115 miles wide.

OK, glanced at Steve’s map with NOPE and OMG.

Perhaps in your case a boat ride would be part of the deal.Still worth a drive if ya can swing it. My way of thinking. Yea, it may not be practical in your neck of the woods and circumstances.Eclipse party. 2017 in Idaho. DW & I situated in a large vacant lot across from a rural gas station / convenience store. Pulled out a couple lawn chairs. Rural highway had steady line vehicles on the side of the road.

Unwise or not. We had them viewing things (throw away paper / plastic glasses) they sell at stores. Forget which state we passed through, along I-80, visitor center was giving them away.

Chose to not used them.Intentionally did NOT stare, as the eclipse started or ended. During the total eclipse, staring safe. Or so I had read.

Earlier, a cousin shared a FB post talking about glasses being sold that are being recalled. I did a search and saw some AAS discussions. They have a list of 100 approved ones and say lots more are good. So I shared that back with her to add more data to the mix.

Valerie Curren

Thx KBK. Our car situation & hubby’s work schedule will keep us from doing that, but I appreciate the sentiment & insights. Glad your adventures worked well for you & wifey last time!

Reality rules. Just as we will not make it this time. Reality. :wpds_wink:

Try having eight aged ponies on special diets because they have no grinding teeth left. 🙄

Round trips have to be less than ~12 hours.

On the other hand I get to go to lots of birthday parties. 😉

Gail, you guys and the ponies ARE the party !

She’s the party here too, w/ or w/out ponies!

Why do they have no grinding teeth left?

Does this happen to all equines?

Valerie Curren

Yep 🙂

Valerie Curren

Can you modify your intended destination a bit? Give yourself the best shot at a clear viewing?

….maybe head to Detroit?

Valerie Curren

NObody does that by choice nowadays since we’re clearly no longer “the Paris of America” as some historical traveler once described Detroit (Day-Twah) 😉 😉

See if you can crash on De Pat’s couch.

That’s funny. :wpds_lol:

Hubby has rubbed off on me…oh wait…is a “bad” influence 😉

Laughing. Wish I knew ya better. Got a few great one liners.

I take it all in a positive light.

Looking forward to whenever you let any drop 😂

I learned about Betty Lou Oliver today.

I was talking to my Mom on the phone and she mentioned an earthquake in NYC that had been on the news. She was surprised no buildings had fallen.

That reminded me that the Empire State Building had been hit by a WWII bomber near the end of the war, and it apparently did not do too much damage (didn’t knock the building down, anyway), so a mild earthquake shouldn’t be a problem.

She had never heard of the bomber hitting the Empire State Building, so I looked it up online while I was on the phone, and read her the details.

On July 28, 1945, a B-25 Mitchell bomber of the United States Army Air Forces crashed into the north side of the Empire State Building in New York City while flying in thick fog.

The crash killed fourteen people (three crewmen and eleven people in the building), and an estimated twenty-four others were injured.

Damage caused by the crash was estimated at US $1 million (equivalent to about $17 million in 2023), although the building’s structural integrity was not compromised.”

The Incident

On Saturday, July 28, 1945, Lieutenant Colonel William Franklin Smith Jr., of Watertown, Massachusetts, was piloting a B-25 Mitchell bomber on a routine personnel transport mission from Bedford Army Air Field in Massachusetts. Due to thick fog, the aircraft was unable to land at LaGuardia Airport as scheduled. The pilot requested to divert to Newark Metropolitan Airport in New Jersey.

Smith asked for clearance to land, but he was advised of zero visibility. Proceeding anyway, he became disoriented by the fog and turned right instead of left after flying dangerously close to the Chrysler Building on East 42nd Street.

The plane embedded in the side of the building.

At 9:40 a.m., the aircraft crashed into the north side of the Empire State Building, between the 78th and 80th floors, making an 18-by-20-foot (5.5 m × 6.1 m) hole in the building into the offices of the War Relief Services and the National Catholic Welfare Council.

One engine shot through the south side opposite the impact, flew as far as the next block, dropped 900 feet (270 m), landed on the roof of a nearby building and caused a fire that destroyed a penthouse art studio. The other engine and part of the landing gear fell down an elevator shaft. The resulting fire was extinguished in 40 minutes. The Empire State Building fire is the highest structural fire to be brought under control by firefighters.

Between 50 and 60 sightseers were on the 86th floor observation deck when the crash happened. Fourteen people were killed: Colonel Smith, Staff Sergeant Christopher Domitrovich, and Navy Aviation Machinist’s Mate Albert Perna, who was hitching a ride, and eleven civilians in the building. Perna’s body was not found until two days later, when search crews discovered that it had entered an elevator shaft and fallen to the bottom. The other two crewmen were burned beyond recognition. Approximately twenty to twenty-four others were injured as a result of the crash.

Elevator operator Betty Lou Oliver was thrown from her elevator car on the 80th floor and suffered severe burns. First aid workers placed her on another elevator car to transport her to the ground floor, but the cables supporting that elevator had been damaged in the incident, and it fell 75 stories, ending up in the basement.

Oliver survived the fall due to the softening cushion of air created by the falling elevator car within this elevator shaft; however, she had suffered a broken pelvis, back and neck when rescuers found her amongst the rubble. This remains the world record for the longest survived elevator fall.

Despite the damage and deaths, the building was open for business on many floors on the next Monday morning, less than 48 hours later. After the debris had been cleared away, Armand Hammer purchased the damaged 78th floor, refurbished it, and made it the headquarters of his United Distillers of America.” — Wiki

That’s a pretty incredible story. So I searched for Betty Lou Oliver, and here she is:

Guessing those are photos from after she was recovered well enough to leave the hospital.

My Mom wondered what happened to her after that, thinking she must not have lived very long after such severe injuries, so I looked and found more interesting details at findagrave.com:

Betty Lou Gower Oliver
Birth: 16 Jul 1925, Arkansas, USA
Death: 24 Nov 1999 (aged 74)
Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas, USA

“As a young 20 year old bride, Betty Lou Oliver was the elevator operator of elevator #6 in the Empire State Building when Lt. Col. William F. Smith’s B-25 hit the north side of the building between the 79th and 80th floor on July 28th, 1945.

Seriously injured, she was put in an elevator for evacuation to medical help. Unbeknownst to everyone, the right engine of the plane smashed its way through an elevator door and went crashing down the elevator shaft, severing cables as it went. This was the very same shaft of the elevator that Betty Lou Oliver had been put in.

The car and elevator operator plunged 1,000 feet (75 stories) into a sub-basement. The freefall of the elevator was broken by the massive coils of cables that had fallen to the bottom of the shaft. Despite suffering a broken back and legs, the operator survived. She had to be cut from the mangled wreckage.

July 28th was supposed to be her last day on the job. She recovered in less than eight months, and returned to Ft. Smith, AR, with her husband Oscar Lee Oliver. She had three children and seven grandchildren. She died November 24, 1999, and is buried alongside her husband (who died in 1986) in the Ft. Smith National Cemetery, Ft. Smith, AR.”

Wow, that’s some amazing history!

One of my ancestors arrived in Watertown, MA about 1640, as that town hit a memory.

Pretty rough last day of work!

Seems odd that they would put her on an elevator by herself, after being seriously injured from the plane crashing into the building, but I didn’t see any mention of anyone else being in the elevator with her when it dropped 75 stories down an empty elevator shaft.

1640 is pretty early!

I think my ancestors on my Dad’s side of the family arrived here around that time.

I recognized “Watertown” from an old Harry Chapin song that I’ve known since I was a kid, but I just checked, and the Watertown in the song is Watertown, NY (not MA).

Harry had the best story songs, lots of them 🙂

I’ve never heard that one before–TY for sharing 🙂

You are very welcome!

Actually saw him in concert with his brother back in my college days in the early 70s. Fabulous concert. Have his anthology disc set for posterity. One of my faves that is the lesser known is Mr. Tanner.

I saw him in a small venue concert with my girlfriend. We met him after in the lobby and got his autograph. He then planted an unrequested, long, deep kiss on my gf’s mouth.

She became a former girl friend shortly thereafter, right?

Thinking as I did way back then, ~50 years ago.

Was not interested in long term anything. Damn sure not a keeper. But. BUT, there were other short term, shallow considerations. Thankfully, I transitioned out of that immature outlook.

I’ll leave it at that.

For a long time, I thought you couldn’t drown in the shallow considerations end. Found out differently.

LOL. Nah I laughed if off as a fun and interesting experience with a celebrity. She felt a little violated and put off by his aggressiveness … at least that is what she said 😉

I was going to post the video for Mr. Tanner too! Then I thought two songs in a row might be overdoing it. Mr. Tanner is right before A Better Place to Be on the Greatest Stories Live album 👍

My parents had the Harry Chapin album Portrait Gallery (1975) since it was released, so I heard that one a lot when I was a kid. It doesn’t appear to be considered one of his best albums, but I know every song on it by heart, and every one is a classic:

Side one
1) Dreams Go By (4:46)
2) Tangled Up Puppet (Harry Chapin/Sandy Chapin) (3:45)
3) Star Tripper (4:19)
4) Babysitter (4:36)
5) Someone Keeps Calling My Name (6:30)

Side two
1) The Rock (4:16)
2) Sandy (2:48)
3) Dirt Gets Under the Fingernails (3:48)
4) Bummer (9:55)
5) Stop Singing These Sad Songs (2:59)

Dreams Go By and Dirt Gets Under the Fingernails are the two wistful upbeat songs (and two of my favorite Harry Chapin songs). Someone Keeps Calling My Name too.

I had a huge crush on my babysitter when I was about 7 years old, so the song Babysitter always made me smile (didn’t turn out as well for me as it did for the 12 year old boy in the song though 😂 ).

Bummer is a harrowing tale of a Vietnam veteran who is killed in a shootout with police.

Sandy is a beautiful song about his wife.

The Rock is like an intense fable, an amazing song to visualize as a child as he tells the story of a huge boulder perched on the side of a mountain above a town. The central character tries to warn everyone, but no one believes him that the rock is going to fall. One day when he’s examining the rock it begins to fall, and he throws himself under it, trying to stop it. Nobody in the town knows what happened to him, they just thought he was crazy and wandered off.

The last verse of the song:

But high up on the mountain
When the wind is hitting it
If you’re watching very closely
The rock slips… a little bit

Stop Singing These Sad Songs is poking fun at himself, because practically ALL of Harry’s songs are sad songs 😂

What a great album, every single song.

That was the only album (and songs of Harry’s) I knew besides Cats in the Cradle from the radio, until I was maybe in 7th grade, when I bought his album Greatest Stories Live.

That’s when I first heard A Better Place to Be and Mr. Tanner, Saturday Morning, I Wanna Learn a Love Song, Let Time Go Lightly, W.O.L.D., Circle, 30,000 Pounds of Bananas, and another one of my favorites, Taxi.

So many great songs, and he has more that I haven’t even discovered yet.

I would love to have seen Harry Chapin in concert, that must have been amazing 👍😎

Thanks for sharing, Scott. I played his music over and over for years. Absolutely one of the best story tellers. A Better Place To Be is also a great one. Mr Tanner just stuck with me because I grew up with the people around Dayton, OH and could picture this dry cleaner owner singing in his shop. Of course Taxi was the groundbreaker for him. Once you have that one in your head you simply have to follow up with Sequel. Genius.

You should have heard all of us laughing when he did 30,000 Pounds of Bananas. In person it was beyond hilarious, better than the album version because he could play off the audience and would just crack up as he performed it. His brother Tom would also sing the higher, female parts really well in his songs. Tom played a half dozen instruments. He had the Sunday morning children’s TV show, Make A Wish back then. Such talent.

Harry sat on a stool part of the time and just rolled them out one after another. Always etched in my memory. I was so bummed when he passed in that car accident, about as much as I was when Jim Croce passed in that plane crash.

Then there was the Billy Joel concert that was held the same year in our school’s concert series. The Piano Man himself playing it and Captain Jack with all the other hits off his first album.

Memories. Wish that type music would take hold again.

Thanks for your post – you made my day as I finish it listening to Harry.

Valerie Curren

Hubby plays Piano Man almost weekly & we both regularly get those dusty eyes. Great Stuff! We taught our kids to love the older stuff too so their musical tastes are Quite Eclectic 😎

This story should have its own link in the sidebar. In fact, we should push for a Betty Lou Oliver Day and spread her miracle story far and wide.

Valerie Curren

Perhaps, add it to your Americana site? She sounds Incredibly Resilient & should be remembered!!!

Barb Meier

Okay, I’ll do that! I’ve been so busy on the cleaning, packing, selling house side of things I haven’t done stuff on the website.

Gail Combs

Good luck with the moving. I did it over 40 times. Now it will take a stick of dynamite to get me to move.

At least you do not have livestock to move. The guy across the street moved in with a herd of cattle, chickens and dogs. He is a real sweetie with a lovely wife and now has 2 little kids.

Valerie Curren

That’s Entirely understandable. Hope your process is going as smooth as possible. found a place to buy yet, or a buyer for your place?

The Rampant Practice of Mocking The Rapture Should Remind Us That Time Is Running Out

Amir Tsarfati

take heed.

They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 2 Peter 3:4

this is one my favorite reasons for belief in The Rapture (pre-trib)…

The Jewish Wedding and The Rapture

The Church ….(body of believers, those who have confessed out loud their sinful nature, their need for Christ’s redemptive power and their heartfelt belief that He died, once, for our sins and was resurrected in Victory over evil, death & sin)… is The Bride of Christ.

we are in the last days of The Age of Grace.

He will come for His bride before the Wrath, before The Tribulation and before Armeggedon.

that’s why it’s called, not only, The Rapture…but also The Blessed Hope.

those who long for it, long for Him.

He will reward that.

He notices.

He has prepared a place for us.

when He returns at Armeggedon, He will not be as a Bridegroom.

He will be a Warrior.

be ready.

it’s only The Father of The Bridegroom who knows the exact hour for the bride.

*eclipses notwithstanding.

My husband just reiterated this Bride of Christ view of the Rapture to me a few minutes ago…He is firmly persuaded, while I remain uncommitted to any specific End Times viewpoint. Jesus is Lord!

See my reply to smiley.

Did you know that the “Rapture” is not in the Bible? That is has not been Christian belief since the beginning, but was introduced as a thing in the 1830s by a man named John Nelson Darby?

Here is an example of how out-of-context Scripture perpetuated the idea:

“There are two primary passages where Rapture theology is purported to have emerged: Matthew 24 and 1 Thessalonians 4. Let’s look at Matthew 24:40-41 first. This is a passage people point to and say, “See, look, that’s the Rapture.” Jesus says, “Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left.”
The question that must be asked when looking at these verses is this: who is taken and who is left? Is the believer taken or left? If you hold a Rapture view in your head before reading this passage, it is easy to say, “The believer is taken.” But is that what the context of the passage leads us to conclude? Let’s look closer.
Before we get to Matthew 24:40-41, we need to read verses 36-39. Jesus says, “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.”
Notice carefully how Jesus teaches. He says nobody will know the day or hour of his return. Then in verse 37 He compares it to the days of Noah. He said the coming of the Son of Man will be like the days of Noah. That’s significant. So we should ask: “In what way?”  He tells us. He says in verse 38 that in those days before the flood, people were living their lives like normal. People were eating and drinking. They were getting married. They were just living their lives and going about the course of their days. This is how we are living now. Jesus says the times will be similar when He comes. Now watch what He says in verse 39. The people were unaware of the judgment coming until the flood, and the flood came and swept them all away. Who got swept away in the days of Noah? The unbelievers. The wicked sinners. Who remained when the flood came? Noah and his family. They were left here. The wicked were swept away. Jesus says this is the way it will be when the Son of Man returns.
Okay, so return to the verses often used in support of the rapture, verses 40 and 41. “Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left.” Jesus just told us that His coming will be just like the days of Noah. The wicked were taken away, swept away. The righteous remained. Then He says that two men will be in the field, and one will be taken, one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill, and one will be taken away and one left. So I return to the question: “Who is taken and who is left?” I believe the most natural, commonsense answer from the text is the believer is left and the unbeliever is taken away. It is a picture of judgment. They are cast away from the presence of the Lord. The only reason one could read it the opposite and say the believer is taken away and the unbeliever remains, is because that person already has the internal bias of a rapture ideology in his or her head before reading the passage. The entirety of the passage itself and its full context gives no reason to interpret it in that way. Additionally, nowhere in this passage do we read that “taken away” means “disappears.” Again, this is something that has to be inferred into the text because of a preexisting bias that has been imbibed from Rapture theology. The text doesn’t say this.”

I am sure there will be an explosion of disagreement here about this. But I believe that taking Scripture out of context leads to all kinds of misunderstanding of it. And this is an example.

Hmmm … it’s 7:15 PDT. Where is this explosion of which you speak? 🤔 😍

The following provides summary information and scripture for most of the views of the rapture end times. Personally, I take no position on it publicly. I do not “know” with certainty. So I stand down and study, leaving it up to Him. I assume you are discussing pre-tribulation and the Darby view that was put forth in the 1800s.

The word “rapture” is not in the Word, just like the word “trinity”. The concept and reality however are discussed. The words of Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 of being caught up or taken away is in line with the word rapture. I Thessalonians 1:10 removes believers prior to the wrath of God that is to come. I Corinthians 15 provides clarity.

It is also found in ancient Latin and Greek texts going back to the 4th century prior to English translations, if the information in the attached link below is correct.

Wifey and I have differing views and we both may be right or wrong. I go with the second link above as there is room for discussion and it provides clarity that I believe is accurate scripturally. All I am certain of is the resurrection of Jesus ensures my salvation as well as those of all believers. I am good with that.

If you read the whole (admittedly long) article I posted, I Thessalonians is addressed. We meet the Lord in the air, along with the resurrected dead.

But Jesus reigns on the Earth. And I Thessalonians 4:17 says:

17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

We will always be with Him, and He will reign on the Earth.

Rev. 21:3 states that God will be among us, in New Jerusalem.

Yes. Thank you.

IOW, we ain’t goin’ nowhere! 😆

Valerie Curren

How is that known? Intriguing 😉

That’s interesting!

Like you, however, I am not certain of anything except salvation.

I tend to avoid the absolutes of scripture in many areas. As soon as I think I have it right I learn something that indicates I did not. The challenge is our dependence on others to provide their understanding of the original text from Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic within the context of the day and situation each was written. I would never be able to learn those languages at my age, so I am dependent on their interpretations. Since there are multiple doctrinal views who provide evidence of their claims relating to the same scriptures, I have chosen to opt out as I have aged.

Just like the happiness versus joy thing we discussed awhile back. Why go anti happiness when it is frequently a synonym for joy and represents being blessed in Greek and Hebrew? For thousands of years happiness was used until that same period in the 1800’s when the self proclaimed doctrinal experts’ views changed. That people also use the word for the temporary state does not matter, the same applies for the temporary giddiness that joy provides.

I guess I will remain blissfully, temporarily happy in my perceived ignorance.

Scripture is full of surprises . I have heard it say it is the living Bible. Living Word of God, Living Christ.

Valerie Curren

Valerie Curren

Wifey and I have differing views and we both may be right or wrong…All I am certain of is the resurrection of Jesus ensures my salvation as well as those of all believers. I am good with that.”

Similar to my husband & I. Rapture & End Times theology appear to fall into the convictions & opinions aspect of faith rather than an absolute, imo. Jesus substitutionary death & resurrection & being under the Blood is necessary to rescue us from destruction. How God will do that in the fine details of our individual, or collective church, lives is open to interpretation & observation…

However we Think things might go it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if All views are at least partially inaccurate. We want to box God in to the place of complete human understanding & that’s not realistic this side of the veil (now we see through a glass darkly). His thoughts are Much Higher than ours!

Valerie Curren

TY for the link to an interesting read & your insights–much appreciated.

I find this topic fascinating.

Valerie Curren

It is also controversial in my home LOL Our biggest “hostile” discussions have been years ago when Hubby would get Pissed when I didn’t have a similar End Times view as he did 😉

Usually, if we are talking about “end times” at my house, it’s me threatening to blow the house up! Some days, this 125+ year old home is a real pain in the ass.

Valerie Curren

I find his choice of words interesting and also inaccurate. He says (emphasis mine):

To scoff or mock the teaching of the rapture of the church is to not endure sound doctrine

I don’t know of anyone who mocks the concept of a rapture. Many people don’t agree with the theory, but they don’t mock it.

He also says:

When you talk about Christ and you deny His resurrection, your whole faith is basically gone. But when you talk about Christ and you don’t deny His resurrection but you deny His coming back to take us, then what’s the point of His resurrection?

The author seems to equate belief in a rapture with belief in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. IMO that is presumption on his part. Christians through the ages have believed in the Second Coming without believing in a rapture in the sense that it is taught today.

Yes Christ comes to take us.
I have been with people who die and Christ is always present to take them.

Valerie Curren

A staff person (aide or nurse?) comforted my mom after my grandpa died there in the care facility. Mom was never sure about her dad’s salvation as it wasn’t a topic that was discussed in their less demonstrative Finnish home. Both of my mom’s parents were heavily involved in “good works” in their Lutheran church but didn’t freely discuss issues of faith like my mom did after her come to Jesus encounters at an independent Spirit-Filled church they still attend.

Anyway the staff person said that she had witnessed many deaths or the recently deceased in that nursing facility. The ones who did not know Christ tended to die horribly with gruesome, fearful expressions on their faces. Those who knew the Lord, even if they no longer recognized themselves or loved ones died with such peaceful expressions. This staff was Convinced that my grandpa had died in Christ because of the peacefulness of his passing.

This info provided Great Comfort to my mother & us all, but not to the degree that we wouldn’t have preferred to hear from my grandpa his profession of faith.

Beautiful sharing 🙂

Valerie Curren

Yes she really ministered to my mom & by extension to me & others 🙂

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Thank you for these. Prayers ongoing for you here and at Marica’s blog. Be well.

Father God:

We come to you before the Throne of Grace on our knees to ask You lay Your Healing Hands on our Beloved Brother, Wolf.

We give You all Honor and Glory and Praise as we put our trust in You to hear our prayer.

You know only too well the trials and tribulations of our Brother Wolf who suffers daily physically, mentally, and spiritually.

He rarely complains unless we need to understand something he has gleaned from his suffering we need to know and for that, Father God, we ask You to bless him.

You know all, see all, and control all in this world so his suffering is well known to You and he knows that trials work patience.

We ask for Your patience with us because we are impatient for Wolf to heal so he may glorify, honor, and praise You another day.

Pour Your Healing Oils over his body, Father God.

Strengthen his lungs and breathe new life into them, Father God.

Comfort him daily as he brings forth the truth, Father God.

Guide him daily in Your Truth, Father God.

Bless him daily for fighting the good fight, Father God.

Let him know You have not abandoned him, Father God.

Make his sleep restorative and refreshing, Father God.

You are the Heavenly Physician who heals all wounds whether they be physical, mental, and/or spiritual.

We trust You will increase Wolf’s faith as he puts his trust in You and You alone.

We lean not on our own understanding because Your ways are not our ways.

We acknowledge You in all of our ways because You and only You will make our path straight.

We ask you to make the path straight for our Beloved Brother Wolf and that with each step he takes, he can feel Your Healing Power.

We ask it all in the Precious and Holy Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Amen and Amen!

Valerie Curren

Amen. My husband, son, & I shared this prayer just now. TY Duchess for your ministry of grace, truth, & faith. May the Lord continue to guide, direct, restore, & refresh you. In Jesus’ Love

That is certainly a new metaphor for Silicon Valley.

This is why I live out in the woods on the Key Peninsula [halfway between Port Orchard and Olympia, as the crow flies]. The judges are immune from suit; why they put up with this freak in their courtrooms is a mystery.

Excellent video. IIRC, we’ve seen this video a month or so ago. Perhaps also before then.

Absolutely worth listening in. Ed Dowd always does a great job.

Dutch says next one will be in vic of border between NC and SC. Dutch is heavily shadowbanned. Interesting stuff.

This is from his yesterday’s podcast. Short clip on the next prediction. Might have to search him up on youtube for full show but just tried that. Little luck, it’s shadowbanned or it’s his for pay podcasts that won’t give you most recent posts… Ackkk!

Doing more searches on twitter… finds yesterday’s podcast (the first posted was the day before on the 4th, wanted the 5th) but when clicking to open they all say deleted by owner…

Do you know why he would delete them?

I looked youtube. He has a subscribe page for something like 4 dollars and change. That’s the only reason why I think he’d do that. Fair if he’s trying to make some money off his podcasts. To even up the score he has a small series of vids that explain how to do the predictions he does.

Overall I think it’s him providing subscriber content free when it suits him and I still think there is some shadow banning going on there. He is still considered to be controversial as he claims he can forecast earthquakes based of of previous quakes. No one else does this apparently. Always seemed accurate to me. His next test will be NC/SC border with about a 4.0 That’s not an earthquake zone so it will be very telling if it happens within the next week.

He also looks for things on the ground in the vicinity of the quakes that may of assisted the quake. He did it with his 5 Apr podcast that was deleted. Found a transmission station in the vic but he looked for another and did not see one.

Thank you for this information.

Well we need to make sure all breakables are not sitting near the edge of shelves…

Zorro rides

I have a kittycat who ensures breakables do not sit near the edge of shelves, counters, and table tops. Excellent at her job, I might say.

For which she is not paid, I presume.

My foundling kitty has been acting really weird the last 2 days…all jumpy and needy. His neighborhood frenemy was sitting on a meter box across the road today making the strangest noises.

If a quake happens I want these factoids entered as proof of detection !! 😎

In what state is this happening?

South Carolina

Maybe they want to pack people in closer together for the event and all it entails 🤔😯 Meantime, that is the best map I’ve seen. Zoomable to street level.

And! https://www.independentsentinel.com/joint-intelligence-bulletin-terrorism-warning/

So lets pack em in close! 😁

Between MSN AND the headline, I thought, Seriously.

100% NOT smart on this stuff.

But, I’d bet the Total Eclipse path is set in stone.

Pravda News will spin whatever it takes to Skeer folks AND promote clicks.

Joint terrorism warning. More of the same . Stopped at the link headline.

Perhaps I am missing a lot. Again.

Edit. Just listened to the video at the link. ABC.

Potential for terror, since the ISIS attack in Moscow a couple weeks ago.

ISIS? Feds can’t even tell the truth about the Moscow terrorist attack.

The changes were based on more recent measurements of the sun’s size (older/NASA stuff uses measurements from the 1800’s) & more precise topography for the moon, which appears to Slightly adjust the path of the eclipse. Source was from NY Post w/in MSN, fwiw.

I’m suspicious also.

There’s too many enthusiasts out there to have gotten this wrong…

Do you have a link for the zoomable to street level map? Everything I clicked on at the site enlarged on one click & the next click shrunk it…

yes, it’s in that story. But let me give it to you from outside the story if I can…

Meanwhile Gateway Pundit also has the same map.
