On this day and every day –
God is in Control
. . . and His Grace is Sufficient, so . . .
Keep Looking Up
Hopefully, every Sunday, we can find something here that will build us up a little . . . give us a smile . . . and add some joy or peace, very much needed in all our lives.
“This day is holy to the Lord your God;
do not mourn nor weep.” . . .
“Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet,
and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared;
for this day is holy to our Lord.
Do not sorrow,
for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Joy Again, Still . . . Always
The word joy appears over and over again in the Scriptures. For instance, the Psalms are filled with references to joy. The psalmists write, “Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning” (Ps. 30:5b) and “Shout for joy to God, all the earth” (Ps. 66:1). Likewise, in the New Testament, we read that joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22), which means that it is a Christian virtue. Given this biblical emphasis, we need to understand what joy is and pursue it.
Sometimes we struggle to grasp the biblical view of joy because of the way it is defined and described in Western culture today. In particular, we often confuse joy with happiness. In the Beatitudes (Matt. 5:3–11), according to the traditional translations, Jesus said: “Blessed are the poor in spirit . . . Blessed are those who mourn . . . Blessed are the meek . . . ” (vv. 3–5, emphasis added), and so on. Sometimes, however, translators adopt the modern vernacular and tell us Jesus said happy rather than blessed.
The word happy in our culture has been sentimentalized and trivialized. As a result, it connotes a certain superficiality. For example, years ago, Charles M. Schulz, in the comic strip Peanuts, coined the adage, “Happiness is a warm puppy,” and it became a maxim that articulated a sentimental, warm-and-fuzzy idea of happiness. Then there was the catchy song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” released by Bobby McFerrin in the 1980s. It suggested a carefree, cavalier attitude of delight.
However, the Greek word used in the Beatitudes is best translated as blessed, as it communicates not only the idea of happiness but also profound peace, comfort, stability, and great joy. So, we have to be careful when we come to the text of the New Testament that we do not read it through the lens of the popular understanding of happiness and thus lose the biblical concept of joy.
Think again about McFerrin’s song. The lyrics are very odd from a contemporary perspective. When he sings, “Don’t worry, be happy,” he is issuing an imperative, a command: “Do not be anxious. Rather, be happy.” He is setting forth a duty, not making a suggestion. However, we never think of happiness in this way. When we are unhappy, we think it is impossible to decide by an act of the will to change our feelings. We tend to think of happiness as something passive, something that happens to us and over which we have no control. It is involuntary. Yes, we desire it and want to experience it, but we are convinced that we cannot create it by an act of the will.
Oddly, McFerrin sounds very much like the New Testament when he commands his listeners to be happy. Over and over again in the pages of the New Testament, the idea of joy is communicated as an imperative, as an obligation. Based on the biblical teaching, it is the Christian’s duty, his moral obligation, to be joyful. That means that the failure of a Christian to be joyful is a sin, that unhappiness and a lack of joy are, in a certain way, manifestations of the flesh.
Of course, there are times when we are filled with sorrow. Jesus Himself was called “a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief” (Isa. 53:3). The Scriptures tell us, “It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting” (Eccl. 7:2a). Even in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” (Matt. 5:4). Given that the Bible tells us it is perfectly legitimate to experience mourning, sorrow, and grief, these feelings are not sinful.
However, Jesus’ words could be translated as “Joyful are those who mourn.” How could a person be in mourning and still be joyful? Well, we can unravel that knot fairly easily. The heart of the New Testament concept is this: a person can have biblical joy even when he is mourning, suffering, or undergoing difficult circumstances. This is because the person’s mourning is directed toward one concern, but in that same moment, he possesses a measure of joy.
How Can We Rejoice Always?
In his letter to the Philippians, the Apostle Paul speaks about joy and about the Christian’s duty to rejoice over and over again. For example, he writes, “Rejoice in the Lord always” (Phil. 4:4a). This is one of those biblical imperatives, and it leaves no room for not rejoicing, for Paul says Christians are to rejoice always—not sometimes, periodically, or occasionally. He then adds, “Again I will say, Rejoice” (v. 4b). Paul wrote this epistle from prison, and in it he addresses very somber matters, such as the possibility that he will be martyred, poured out as a sacrifice (2:17). Yet he tells the Philippian believers that they should rejoice despite his circumstances.
That brings us back to this matter of how we can be joyful as a matter of discipline or of the will. How is it possible to remain joyful all the time? Paul gives us the key: ”Rejoice in the Lord always” (emphasis added). The key to the Christian’s joy is its source, which is the Lord. If Christ is in me and I am in Him, that relationship is not a sometimes experience. The Christian is always in the Lord and the Lord is always in the Christian, and that is always a reason for joy. Even if the Christian cannot rejoice in his circumstances, if he finds himself passing through pain, sorrow, or grief, he still can rejoice in Christ. We rejoice in the Lord, and since He never leaves us or forsakes us, we can rejoice always.

Glory to Almighty God, who still loves us no matter how much we screw up.

Snoozer.
^^^ This. It has been a full time job for Him to clean up just my messes.
This is the first part of a long, well-written article. This first part covers what prison will be like for Steve Bannon.
NAOMI WOLF: Stand up for Steve Bannon lest it be you next
I feel powerless to do anything about Bannon or Navarro’s incarceration, just as I am powerless to do anything to free the J6 prisoners. I imagine that many of us are hoping that Trump will win, will decimate the Deep State, will pardon the prisoners, and will restore America, with our help. Until that happens, I don’t know what we can do to stop this.
Her article continues with more examples of abuses and with warnings that it is only escalating, and she is correct.
“I feel powerless to do anything about Bannon or Navarro’s incarceration, just as I am powerless to do anything to free the J6 prisoners. I imagine that many of us are hoping that Trump will win, will decimate the Deep State, will pardon the prisoners, and will restore America, with our help. Until that happens, I don’t know what we can do to stop this.”
Federal government does anything it wants to do.
“Elected” officials do not represent the citizens.
2024 election is being set-up to steal the election, through illegals voting, fraudulent counting, prolly mass mail voting fraud…

Not disagreeing with Naomi or pushing back on her thoughts.
Exactly what is Naomi doing, if anything, that she is not sharing? What are we to do? What can we do?
BOP, entire Federal government is incredibly oppressive.
What was Naomi doing years ago?
My guess.
Naomi started waking up after seeing Jabs hugely damaging women’s health, reproduction…
Grateful she took on the Jabs as being totally unsafe.
She was a lefty, but got crossways with a bunch of the lefty lies.
Investigated righties and found them welcoming, intelligent, and persuasive (much to her surprise, since she had been taught they were knuckle-dragging ignorant haters).
She is not yet fully integrated into the MAGA Borg, and instinctively jumps left at loud noises. But she seems to be trying.
Her journey towards the right has been fascinating.
I agree. She is doing great work on exposing the COVID jabs. She has shown great disillusionment with her former compatriots and IMO is an important voice because she does thorough research, has excellent writing ability, and tries to look at things objectively. She is not thoroughly MAGA but has come a long way away from the liberal Left. She would probably say they left her.
Even more importantly, what was I doing years ago? What am I doing now within the limits of the law?
^^^ This.
Sort of tired at pointing at pundits and politicians who profit financially and/or with fame to lead MAGA out of the quagmire.
Thats our job. Requires effort and work. Holding elected officials, law enforcement, judiciary accountable – publicly. First amendment – use it wherever you are and whatever you are doing. It matters. If it did not matter the Dems would not be turning on Brandon.
If you are a believer – please Him by your words and actions.
I-remember different America fighting for civil rights in the sixties then against the Vietnam war, Those protests were affecting large groups of people. Bannon is only one man and does not concern most people.
In Germany first was only one Jew it did not affect most people. When they came for thousands and more it was to late,
We do not have the appetite to protest for freedom unless it affects us ?
Europe is different they know what tyranny is like.
Reflection on our times. Today young people protest injustice and for freedom for other countries. They never are put in jail and therefore they believe we are still a free country.
This current regime has no mercy for MEGA they have no clue what it mean. We se what still happens to Jan 6 attendees even those who never went into the capitol. Our house we pay for. Justice is no longer the communists took over. They do not realize they are the first to go just like under Stalin and Mao.
These days HLS, FIB AND DOJ are aligned against conservatives.
Yes I thought about that also judges.
IMO, the entire Steve Bannon situation — the “lawfare” that put him in jail — is “Show me the man, and I’ll show you the crime” — how Communists got rid of anybody in their way.
Bingo
Wolf is right maybe we already are a broken society ready for the communist domination?
No!
I do not think so because we have been WARNED!
Before Trump, I would have agreed but not now.
I hope you are right
Hopelessness and despair are the Enemy’s Weapons.
True 🤓
I’m wondering what the game plan of the War Room Posse is for communicating with Bannon. According to the rules, per Naomi Wolf:
He will have no internet access.
He can have visitors approved in advance, but a limited number.
He can have 300 minutes of phone calls per month, at a max of 15 minutes per call. That amounts to 20 calls per month.
He can write to media people but can’t act as a reporter. He can receive correspondence from the media that will be opened and inspected.
I’m also wondering if the SCOTUS decision on presidential immunity will cause Bannon’s lawyers to file some kind of motion for relief for him. Everything moves so slowly that his sentence will have been served if there is no emergency appeal (and I don’t know if that’s possible in this case).
“…I’m also wondering if the SCOTUS decision on presidential immunity will cause Bannon’s lawyers to file some kind of motion for relief for him….”
I think they did and it has already been turned down.
I will check

DreamsNightmaresA petition for writ of habeas corpus. Essentially asserts that a person is being held unconstitutionally. I think I heard that is already being done.
Good. I hope so.
Can habeas corpus apply to a sentence being served, or just the initial jailing before being formally charged and given a chance to raise bail?
Technically it’s for any unconstitutional restraint on personal liberty but I’ve only heard it used (successfully) for actual imprisonment.
You may have missed the distinction I was trying to draw.
Case A) A guy is arrested and thrown in county jail, but no charges are ever brought up and he’s never had bail set. He’s basically incarcerated for nothing in particular. His due process is violated.
Case B) A guy is charged, tried, and convicted for violating an unconstitutional statute. The process was followed, except that the law itself should never have been on the books.
Is case B a potential habeas corpus situation? I’m pretty sure Case A is.

It is getting SO frustrating as I see articles I used a year or so ago disappear OR WORSE the archived version CHANGE. 😱😫
I used to be able to use Google Advanced to search the Qtree for an old comment using key words. That does not work anymore either!
It’s REALLY frustrating trying to navigate. I was looking for a figure from the 1970s through the early 2000s in the Church, and really had to get specific to come up with just pictures.
Yeah, I do not want someone or some THING telling ME what I am searching for.
If it needs an AG to clean out an aspect of the corrupt Intelligence Agencies, he’s going to need about 20 of ’em. One to prosecute CIA interference in 2020 elections only gets you a smidgeon of the way there.
THAT is what the people in the #2 spot are for.
Each gets a specific clean-up task.

With luck the ‘hopium’ crowd is correct, Jeff Sessions & his team have a ton of sealed indictments ready and waiting with more information being added all the time. The last 4 years is about tracing the rest of the ratlines.

Washington (CNN) — It will be impossible to adequately explain in decades to come just what it was like to be alive in the exhausting first year of Donald Trump’s presidency.

For those who think that the long-term sealing of indictments is problematic for SoL, the only serious problem I see is the right to a speedy trial.
IOW, when does that time period begin counting?
I would think if you are building a case against a large organization, SEALED indictments are a MUST and it also may take years to amass all the necessary information to take down the entire organization.
How the actual laws work for that, I do not know.
I doubt anyone knows. It is not something I’ve run across during my time as a paralegal.
It might be a conflict of laws that has not yet been contested [known in the legal profession as an issue of first impression].

Perilous times for America, MeThinks.
I think the sole reason they are dumping Biden is the gap between Trump & Biden is so wide, they cannot cheat enough to win. With any of the other prospective candidates, the margins among Trump/Dem voters are small enough that they can and will prevail by cheating.
I’ve been a poll worker in my white, conservative-turning-blue county and I can tell you unequivocally that even here poll workers are closely managed so that our tasks are nowhere near the parts of the process where cheating occurs. The county claims they ‘balance’ the poll worker selection and tasks by ensuring adequate representation of GOP, Dem & Independent poll workers, and our lanyards & badges are outwardly color-coded to show our declared affiliation. BUT I can tell you from the behavior and under-the- breath comments occurring as outcomes become clear that 99% of the so-called Independent poll workers are actually far Left. That results in a 2-1 representation of poll workers (aka deciders on ballot determinations) even here in my county.
if you think places like Detroit, Philadelphia, NYC etc. are going to let ANY conservative poll workers anywhere near their extensive manipulation maneuvers, you are mistaken.
i say this not to be defestist, but the RNC and Lara Trump still don’t get it. They are recruiting for poll watchers when they really should be entirely focused in these huge urban ballot-counting centers and inundating them with poll WORKERS, not poll watchers.
“He who counts the ballots determines the outcome.”
You need to get lots of people to individually relay your concerns to Lara directly and also to the RNC generally. Do it until hell freezes.

There is not much mention of Jill, at all. It seems to me that she is the one they should be talking to if they want JB to drop out. Maybe they are and are just not mentioning it. But I think she is the main one egging him on — which is unconscionable to me. She knows his condition better than anyone but is still pushing him to not only act as “president” but also to run again. That affects every American citizen, every one of us. IMO she is a monster.
As Zak Paine said, the whole Biden family is so deep in Schiff, that they are holding on with everything they have.
I would not be surprised if they want safe passage OUT of the USA in return for Biden bowing out.
Remember the D-Rat convention is by teleconference or some such.
Safe passage to Ukraine!
ONLY to pickup their share of the loot before a hasty departure!
The Republican congress needs to jump on this and IMPEACH BIDEN NOW! They need to get Camel-Whore into the Presidential Hot Seat.
And, BTW, make hers the face of Democratic ineptitude for decades to come.
This is the BEST time to strike at Dementia Joe if the R-Cons can get their rear ends in gear!
YES.
Everyday since r-Cons took the House, it has been time to Impeach Briben.
They won’t. r-Cons are cowards.
Just to put this out there for future fun, there is an article in the June 2024 issue of Linux Magazine (Issue 283) about loading OpenWRT on Raspberry Pi devices.
OpenWRT is a Linux distribution designed to be crammed into routers, while Raspberry Pis are designed to run Linux for general purposes. Running OpenWRT on a Pi gets you a super-fast, network optimized, minimalist Linux that can still run shell scripts and Python programs.
I can’t get to this really soon, because I’ve got things happening, but I’m really curious to know if it can run on a Pi Zero WH.
Note — the Pi Zero WH is $16. [ https://www.adafruit.com/product/3708 ] The W means it has Wireless networking, and the H means it has Hardware connections, which can be used for sensors or switches. So, for example, you could have it communicate temperatures to other systems and turn on fans….
Even when lost under the couch cushions?
Zak Paine (RedPill 78) brought up an interesting point at 21:40
https://rumble.com/v558eng-altered-state-s02e38-900-pm-et-.html
I think Zak is correct. The Biden Family is now fighting tooth and nail for their survival. Dr Jill is NOT going to allow Biden to bow out. That means the Rinos and D-Rats will have to literally TOSS him out (IMPEACH or 25th him) if they really want someone else as the candidate.
I think we are going to see a move towards the 25th as forecast by POTUS Trump.
Careful what you wish for’: Trump WARNS BIDEN — rt.com
12 January 2021 — Donald Trump says Biden more likely to be removed by 25th…
dailymail.co.uk
The 25th does NOT remove a POTUS from office. It temporarily removes the powers of the office and vests them in the VPOTUS, who becomes Acting President.
Not President.
…
Sect. 4.-1. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments, or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
2. Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within 48 hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within 21 days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.
I am aware of that. I was trying to use short hand. 🙃
The cabinet 25ths but Congress Confirms if Biden tries to fight it.
Whether President via impeachment or Acting via the 25th, Camel-Whore will be SEEN by the population AS ‘President’ and then the Cabal will have to try and keep her from falling flat on her very DUMB face.
So it makes for Fun and Games in DC.
Can they convince Biden to step down???
Can they convince Biden to walk away from the nomination?
Will they have to REMOVE Biden permanently and can they do it without needing to take out the rest of the family?
Decisions Decisions. 😂
That’s my point – he cannot be removed except via impeachment AND conviction. And none of this discussion has any bearing on his campaign for POTUS. Even if he is on temporary disability, he can still run for office. In short, he can be temporarily deprived of the powers and authority of POTUS but he cannot be forced out.
Different point.
I am talking about ‘show casing’ Camel-Whore as an ‘Acting President’ before the election.
That is NOT going to happen.
Certainly not if Jill as anything to say about it.
Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow. – KJV
Verse of the Day for Sunday, July 7, 2024
✟
“For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
Psalms 100:5 (KJV)
Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered !!!
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

GOODBYE, GARY!
Last night – we got the news – you were ready;
With Patty and Caryn – holding steady;
One last practice with the Choir you said;
Before you left us for your soft-cloud bed!
We watched you bravely fight the good fight;
As we sighed and prayed for you each night;
We tried our best to visit – and bring cheer;
Just as you did for us – year after year!
With gratitude – we thank you – for loving us;
For putting up with our foibles and the fuss;
We couldn’t seem to get it – right from the start;
But you were there to help – right from the heart!
You gave us encouragement with a sweet smile;
Whether a new member – or one there awhile;
You deciphered the musical score and more;
You were the Angel with accolades galore!
Good job – Simone and Margaret – and newbie;
Kathy, Bill, and Don – you inspired me – truly;
With that Psalm – that feeling – you touched my heart;
Just want you to know – your love set you apart!
Dependable and cheerful – we counted on you;
To give us a smile – a caring ear for us, too;
No matter how stressful – your day had been;
You had time – to hear what, where, and when!
From parents and children – to broken down cars;
To singers and musicians – and upcoming stars;
Nothing too trivial – passed by without note;
We all had our troubles – we’ve all missed the boat!
With a pat on the shoulder – a twinkle in your eye;
You ensured us somehow – this, too, would pass by;
Ever the optimist – you smiled and said;
All will be well – there is nothing to dread!
We will miss you, Gary – that – we cannot deny;
On your journey through life – we’re glad you stopped by;
To give us a song – a hand up – and a sigh;
On your way to your heavenly home in the sky!

Recipe for freedom? Be like Gary. Thank you for this poem, Duchess. Thank you for showing us how Gary lived.
Most welcome, Barb !!! ❤️ Gary was one in a million !!! 💙🧚🏻♀️💙
He now sings in ‘The
‘The Heavenly Choir’ !!! 🧚🏻♀️ 🧚🏻♀️ 🧚🏻♀️
Ah yes, and that fact makes me smile. 💙
THE HEAVENLY CHOIR
Sing a new song – unto the Lord – our God;
Just as the Heavenly Choir – gives Him laud;
Daily they praise Him – in sweet adoration;
Joyfully – their song – is just jubilation!
Glory to God in the Highest – they sing;
On their timbrels and harps – they ring;
A joyful noise – unto the Lord – in Heaven;
As their song rises – like bread with leaven!
The trumpets sound in a bountiful blast;
With triumphant blows – the effect is vast;
The Heavenly Choir sings a vibrant song;
To sing Praise to the Lord – all the day long!
Holy – Holy – Lord God – Almighty One;
A new member – we suspect – You have won;
In an earthly choir – his voice he raised;
His great love for You – in song he praised!
In the earthly choir – we lift up our voices;
In praise and thanksgiving – our song choices;
Give Glory to God – through gifts He has given;
To praise Him and thank Him – we are driven!
Nary has a voice gone unnoticed – by He;
No matter how meek or weak it may be;
For the voice of the young is strong and clear;
While the older voice – we can hardly hear!
When we earn our place in the Heavenly Choir;
Our voice is renewed at that very hour;
So while we are here – we sing songs of praise;
Till God takes us home – our voices we raise!
Imagine the sound of Praise to the Lord;
Imagine the joy to sing in His Word;
To someday sing in the heavenly realm;
The happiness is sure to overwhelm!
While we are here we do the best we can;
To praise Him in song – and instrument plan;
To be worthy someday to be chosen among;
The Heavenly Choir that leaves no song unsung!

HAVE A VERY BLESSED DAY !!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Carl, for this lesson!
Since it’s Sunday, I want to throw this out there for comment.
Last Sunday, the sermon at my church was on Matthew 14, when Jesus walks on water. As I listened and read along, I noticed in my New King James Bible a note next to verse 27:
27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, [c]“Be of good cheer! [d]It is I; do not be afraid.”
The note [d] by “it is I” reads “Lit. I am.” Meaning the literal Greek reads “I am.”
This struck me like a ton of bricks. Jesus wasn’t just saying “hey it’s Me guys;” Jesus was calling Himself by the Name of God given to Moses by God Himself.
I was extremely surprised that the translation didn’t read this way, so I resolved to do some research. In the same story in Mark, the note was not present on this verse, so I checked the verse of Mark in Greek. Sure enough, it was the same words, egō eimi. Literally, I AM.
https://biblehub.com/text/mark/6-50.htm
Oddly, even on the above Greek translation page, after ‘am’ they put [He].
I went through every translation of the Bible available on biblegateway.com and I only found four translations that used “I am” in the Matthew verse. There must be fifty different Bibles on that list, so four is not many. The four were:
Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
Jubilee Bible 2000
Tree of Life Version
Wycliffe Bible
I also checked a Greek to English translator for the words egō eimi. It’s “I am.”
To say I am amazed and puzzled by this is a huge understatement. WHY would any translation NOT accurately report that Jesus used the Name of God in this instance? They do it again in John 18:8, when Jesus was arrested in the garden of Gethsemane. He called Himself “I am.” But NKJV adds [He]:
8 Jesus answered, “I have told you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let these go their way,”
https://biblehub.com/text/john/18-8.htm
In two instances when Jesus announced Himself AS GOD, most Bibles water it down into some version of “here I am, it’s me, Jesus.” Which leads me to another question:
What ELSE does the original Greek and/or Hebrew say that the various translators have ignored?
BINGO!!!
I have mentioned before that the SCRIBES were beholden to the Aristocracy/Upper classes (including the Priest Class) and therefore certain passages could be twisted.
It is for the reason my Dad studied Greek, Latin and Hebrew.
Well, this is all the modern translations, too. The Wycliffe Bible gets it right, but that was translated in the 1300s.
If people are correct, the satanic Cabal has been around for centuries.
Amazingly, the Complete Jewish Bible states in v.27: But at once Yeshua spoke to them, “Courage,” he said, “it is I. Stop being afraid.”
I have always felt that this version of Scripture was the most accurate since it was done by a Jew [David Stern] from as much Hebrew sources as he could get.
I admire your study of this but I must tell you that I am not convinced you are correct, or more precisely I am unsure that what you have discerned is the entire meaning. If we take in the context [walking on water at night during rough seas], it seems unlikely that Yeshua would have chosen that particular phrasing [your version] to allay their fears. It seems more likely to me that He would have identified Himself as someone with whom they were familiar. IOW – as Yeshua.
I’ve also wondered how He could have been visible in the dark.
My conclusion is that He must have been self-illuminating [glowing?] enough for them to see Him in the darkness [unless the moon was full]. Also, the illumination must have been sufficient for Peter to look down and see the water in order to be afraid because the sensation of walking on the water must have been close to [or identical] to the sensation of walking on land.
There’s a lot going on here that does not lend itself to a single simple explanation.
😍
Lol, not MY version. It is the literal Greek.
And I think your “more likely He would have identified Himself” is how we got all these translations.
But I think instead of saying “don’t be afraid, it’s Me,” he was saying “don’t be afraid, I’m God and I will save you from this storm.” Which He did.
Be aware that we do not have the original Greek manuscripts of any part of the New Testament. The first thing I would want to do is a deep dive to see what variants there are of this passage in the manuscripts we do have. In general, there are thousands of variants, though the vast majority of them are obvious mistakes made by untrained scribes. Which leaves the question of how many variants there are of this particular verse.
I have no idea which variant(s) your copy of the Greek would be based on. It might actually say so in the volume’s introduction.

The latest edition of the Greek New Testament: Apparatus I have is the 5th edition from 2014. If there are any later editions, I do not yet have a copy. There do not seem to be any notable variants of verse 27 since it is absent in this edition.
They left out verse 27???
They only look at verses with variants in the manuscripts.
I should have included /s.
I am sorry.
You are right p, I missed it entirely. Most of the time I can read the room but I missed this one.
See now THIS is the sort of deeper dive I was hoping for (complete with citings of which manuscript(s) variants appear in).
Thank you.
Cool! Thanks for that information.
I will check this out. Thank you!
In any case I don’t see the relevance of a Hebrew source for the NT which was originally in Greek. Your methods make more sense when dealing with the OT.
Allow me to argue that the NT in Greek is based on the manuscripts that we know about. I find it hard to accept that Christian guys living 2000 years ago were using Greek to carry on their daily affairs. If they lived in Greece, sure. But I can’t imagine people raised with Hebrew as their first language would record things in Greek. Why would they do this? You wouldn’t write a book in Russian or German, would you?
As far as Hebrew goes, I think what is important about CJB is that David Stern [there is a long preface that describes his sources and a lot more] is a Jew who was raised in Hebrew ways [traditions] and did his translations from a Jewish/Hebrew point-of-view. It’s about the subtleties IMO.
And there is your first mistake. The actual commoner’s language at that time and place was Aramaic.
Second, you’re inferring that the original must have been in Hebrew (or Aramaic), for some reason yet not one single copy has survived, though we have hundreds of Greek manuscripts.
Unfortunately the best scholarship out there is quite confident that the original language was Greek; it reads far too well in Greek, there are passages that would not make any sense in languages other than Greek (such as Nicodemus’s confusion over “born again” versus “from above”) and of course there are all those times when an Aramaic word appears in the text and is then helpfully translated by the author. If writing in Aramaic in the first place, they wouldn’t have done that and a translator into Greek would simply have translated it straight since the word we now see in Aramaic wouldn’t have stood out.
This seems wrong to you because there’s simply no way that people like Matthew, Mark and John would have been writing in literate Greek in preference to Aramaic. Well, yes. There’s a contradiction here, or at least you have to imagine someone took college-level courses in Greek later in life just so they could pen the Gospel. But remember that all of the Gospels were written anonymously; they were credited to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John *centuries* later. Maybe that suggests an answer to the conundrum.
Understood.
Maybe God doesn’t want us to solve it; rather He simply wants us all to face in the same direction towards Him.
Furthermore, let’s assume that you are right and it was originally written in Hebrew then translated into Greek, with the original text lost.
What value is there in translating the Greek back into Hebrew and then the Hebrew into English? At best you’ve taken the risk of introducing errors going from Hebrew to Greek and then back to Hebrew…then going to English; you’d be better off going from the Greek directly into English since you can’t access the (putative) original Hebrew. And it’s only worse if the original language were Aramaic; you’re going from a putative original Aramaic text, to Greek, to Hebrew, to English. Three translations where two would be better.
And if it were, as almost everyone maintains, originally in Greek in the first place…Greek to English is best if you don’t want to learn Koine Greek
If I implied that a translation was made from Greek to Hebrew and then to English, then I have misled you and I’m sorry. I meant that he made it a point to use the oldest manuscripts available [from whatever language] for each book of the Bible. I am biased because he is a Messianic Jew which I believe that is the most accurate way to view the relationship between God and man.
I am most certainly not trying to debate a point; merely trying to show other viewpoints in order to enhance understanding.
By that rationale, for the NT you want the Greek, and for the OT the Hebrew.
But there is an interesting wrinkle with the OT. Our oldest complete OT is a Greek translation (the Septuagint) made sometime before Christ, whereas our oldest Hebrew copy (called the Masoretic) is about a thousand years newer. So one can argue the Septuagint might be superior. With the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, however, we have a *partial* Hebrew text almost as old as the Septuagint (and there are differences between the DSS and the Masoretic–lies told by some people to the contrary).
Most likely, in my opinion, there was a document in Aramaic or Hebrew that wasn’t a Gospel, but a record of teachings of Jesus. Scholars call this the Q Source. There is another speculated source known as M.
I think Matthew wrote Q and probably M, which were something like crib notes. Then later, he either wrote or dictated his Gospel in Greek.
And only in America do people only use their native language for everything. In most other countries, English is a “universal language.” Greek was a similar thing in the ancient world. It was the language of scholars. Like students studied Latin even in America 150 years ago.
Anyway, that’s my two cents.
Yeah and there’s a lot to what you say.
Q is a (hypothetical) source that both Matthew and Luke used, directly, and shows up largely in things Jesus said in those two gospels, there are known non-canonical gospels that are essentially nothing but (alleged) Jesus quotes and Q might have been one of these “sayings gospels.” M is a source (or group of sources) that only Matthew had access to, and L…you guessed it, a source (or group of sources) that only Luke had access to.
Why are they so certain that Matthew and Luke used Q in common? Because those parts of Matthew and Luke are verbatim exactly the same. That would not happen if they were recounting the same incidents in their own words (Luke doesn’t claim to be an eyewitness anyway; see the first couple of verses).
As for pointing out that many people back then (and today, in other parts of the world) often spoke more than one language, that’s true…but what you will oftentimes see is they are absolutely fluent in one or two, and had to learn a smattering of others to get by on (say) market day. The Gospels (to be clear, the four canonical ones) were written in *very* literate, fluent Greek. What are the chances that people in the sticks (i.e., very little contact with Greeks) who were probably illiterate even in Aramaic, would go on to be able to not just speak and read Greek, but compose a Gospel in it? Even if they had to dictate it, composing coherently at that level is a learned skill.
What you say is true. I would point out, however, that the Jews of the time were probably the most literate people on Earth as a group. Jews studied Torah from childhood, and were very attuned to their written history.
Remember, too, that Jesus and the disciples spent time in the Decapolis. This was a region composed of mostly Greek cities:
https://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04664b.htm
Don’t discount the fact that, just like writers today, the writers of the Gospel could have had help. Just because there is no “dedication” or “thanks to” page doesn’t mean there weren’t helpers.
Matthew was most certainly educated: being a tax collector was a big job that would have required math, writing, and record-keeping skills. Luke was highly educated, being a physician. Mark’s Gospel is the simplest; he was a companion to Peter, and wrote Peter’s story. We don’t know who he was, but scholars generally think he was Jewish, and his first language was not Greek:
“The traditional view recognizes Mark as a Palestinian Jew who wrote his Gospel using Peter as his source. Most scholars believe the Gospel of Mark demonstrates a writing style and literary syntax exposing the author’s first language as something other than Greek. In fact, the writing style seems to indicate the author’s first language was probably a Semitic language such as Aramaic. This would be consistent with the idea Mark, a Palestinian Jew (who most likely spoke Aramaic) was the author of the Gospel. In addition to this, the Gospel of Mark includes a number of vivid and tangential details unnecessary to the narrative, but consistent with observations of an eyewitness to the events. This would indicate the author had access to an eyewitness such as Peter.”
https://coldcasechristianity.com/writings/good-reasons-to-believe-peter-is-the-source-of-marks-gospel/
Mark’s Gospel contains the same words as Matthew, I AM, when Jesus spoke as He walked on water to the fishermen in the boat.
And don’t forget, these people were at the very least highly motivated by, if not (I believe they were) directly inspired by God. They were writing the most important document in human history, and I think they knew it.
Think of it this way; if you KNEW FOR SURE that what you were writing down was the literal eternal salvation of humanity for all time, how dedicated, motivated, and inspired would YOU be to do it perfectly? We have no idea how long it took to write each Gospel. It may have been a process of many years to get the first original onto parchment.
Thank you for engaging me on this subject. It makes me think and crystalizes my ideas into words. This is not the first time I have noticed a translation in the Bible that seems to me to be the result of an agenda rather than a mistake.
And…just no.
Best estimates of literacy rates in Judea are around 3% and that mostly concentrated in the cities, thus some towns had rates less than 1%. (Heszer, Jewish Literacy in Roman Palestine.) Further, the Talmud addresses cases where only one person in the entire synagogue could read.
Even someone like Josephus (with an elite education) couldn’t write literary Greek without assistance from Greek speakers (Contra Apionem 1.9). Most Jews in Judea/Palestine would have only “a rudimentary knowledge of Greek.”
Lol, ok. I still maintain that help from Greek speakers was available to the writers of the Gospels if they wanted it.
Most studies show that very few in Judea where educated; those who were would have been taught Hebrew (not Greek) to enable reading the Torah…unless they came from a truly upper crust family in a major city.
Composition was taught as a separate skill from reading, and most of the 3% who could read could not compose a sentence or a paragraph; those who could compose a paragraph could mostly not compose a book, and those who could compose a book could not do so in a foreign language like Greek. And most of those wouldn’t compose it in elegant Greek as seen in the Gospels and 1&2 Peter.
So was Peter, a rural fisherman, somehow one of the lucky people who got educated to the point where he could write Greek elegantly? Especially given Acts 4:13 states he was illiterate.
Likewise the Gospel authors (with the possible exception of Luke). Even a tax collector like Matthew wouldn’t necessarily know anything about composition.
OK, so maybe they had secretaries. And yes they wouldn’t necessarily credit the secretary. But really what would be needed in many cases was a ghost writer. A ghost writer in languages the apostles could only speak rudimentarily.
Far easier to just suppose that non-Jewish converts (“Greeks”) wrote the Gospel accounts, based on stories they had heard about Jesus, and more than likely earlier written accounts, quite possibly by other non-Jews. Remember that NONE of the Gospels actually states who wrote it. The names we use today were attributed centuries later; in some cases we have early church figures referring to Gospels by name, but their descriptions of the Gospels don’t match up well with the current Gospel by that name.
“Far easier to just suppose that non-Jewish converts (“Greeks”) wrote the Gospel accounts, based on stories they had heard about Jesus, and more than likely earlier written accounts, quite possibly by other non-Jews.”
EXCEPT:
That would make what they wrote a LIE.
John 21:24
“This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true.”
Luke 1 1:4
“Inasmuch as many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us, 2 just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us, 3 it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus, 4 that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed.”
Understanding that these were the very most religious writers ever, they wouldn’t lie. It would be the gravest sin, bearing false witness about the Messiah. They would NEVER do that. I will not accept that they would.
AND:
There are very early references to who wrote the Gospels. For example:
“In one of the most famous passages quoted by Eusebius, Papias indicates that instead of reading about Jesus and his disciples in books, he preferred hearing a “living voice.” He explains that whenever knowledgeable people came to visit his church, he talked with them to ask what they knew. Specifically he spoke with people who had been “companions” of those whom he calls “elders” who had earlier been associates with the disciples of Jesus. And so Papias is not himself an eyewitness to Jesus’ life and does not know eyewitnesses. Writing many years later (as much as a century after Jesus’ death), he indicates that he knew people who knew people who knew people who were with Jesus during his life. So it’s not like having firsthand information, or anything close to it. But it’s extremely interesting and enough to make a scholar sit up and take notice….”
“This is what the elder used to say, “when Mark was the interpreter [Or: translator] of Peter he wrote down accurately everything that he recalled of the Lord’s words and deeds – but not in order. For he neither heard the Lord nor accompanied him; but later, as I indicated, he accompanied Peter, who used to adapt his teachings for the needs at hand, not arranging, as it were, an orderly composition of the Lord’s sayings. And so Mark did nothing wrong by writing some of the matters as he remembered them. For he was intent on just one purpose: not to leave out anything that he heard or to include any falsehood among them.” (Eusebius, Church History, 3. 39)”
https://ehrmanblog.org/who-wrote-the-gospels-our-earliest-apparent-reference/
Papias’ knowledge of Jesus and His disciples definitely did come down to him from others. As the article states, it was from “people who had been “companions” of those whom he calls “elders” who had earlier been associates with the disciples of Jesus.” So not “first hand,” but still like listening to your grandparents tell about WWII almost eighty years ago.
Also, if you were going to try to fool people, why make the Gospels written by lowly fishermen, or pariahs like a tax-collector? Why not attribute one to someone like Nicodemus?
It is important in my mind to bear in mind the gravity with which these people must have told their stories. How seriously do you take the scientific information that you impart to others? It is what I call “core belief.” It matters so much to you that when it was trivialized, you stopped doing it. Which I totally get, by the way.
These people would have been the same. They were carrying the weight of the salvation of mankind in their hearts as they understood it. That is a serious, serious load. To lie about it, enhance it, make up stuff about it, or prevaricate in any way would seem to be anathema even to me, a baby Christian.
Honestly, I don’t think it matters “who” wrote down the information. Back to my comparison to your work; in 2000 years, will it still be “correct” in line with current science, even if your name is not attached, but it is attributed to Wolfmoon? Of course it will. And it will still be just as valid however it is attributed.
I think I have a more “psychological” view of the Gospels than some. I imagine and internalize the psychic responsibility of what they meant to their authors and purveyors over the first couple of hundred years of Christianity. It’s easy for me to imagine the writers as real people. I’ve had a lot of experience doing that as a genealogist; that’s why I’m good at tracing people through history. They aren’t just names on a page or numbers in a census to me. I “live” their lives as I study them, which often leads me down paths to find them that others have missed. Put yourself in their sandals; they believed this was the truth:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Believing that, how seriously would any of us take telling the story of the Man who said it?
“why make the Gospels written by lowly fishermen,”
The gospels themselves don’t name their authors. Attributions to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John came centuries later.
No, not centuries. Matthew’s Gospel was attributed to him very early:
“According to the resources available to us, Papias (the Bishop of Hieropolis in Phrygia ca. AD 130) was the first to associate the apostle Matthew with this document. Eusebius, the early church historian, records Papias’ account: “Matthew collected the oracles (ta logia) in the Hebrew language, and each interpreted them as best he could.””
https://www.blueletterbible.org/study/intros/matthew.cfm
Yeah unfortunately Papias’s descriptions don’t seem to gibe well with the Matthew we have.
Do you think Papias might have been describing Q or M?
No reall idea. IIRC his descriptions sounded like a “sayings gospel” (which Matthew wasn’t, but Q likely was) so it *could* be Q.
In the context of things, I think that makes sense. Logic matters to me. I am a believer, but God gave me this analytical brain. I think it was for a reason 🙂
Funny, by the way, you should read the rest of that blog entry where he calls Papias into question, with arguments to back it up…and in his next post: https://ehrmanblog.org/is-the-gospel-of-mark-papias-refers-to-our-gospel-of-mark/
I did read it. Ehrman makes some conclusions I don’t agree with. But some of his information is good. I “read around.” I don’t just accept one person’s conclusions, ever.
14:27. Jesus’ answer is literally “I am”; although this can easily mean “It is I,” it may also allude back to God’s self-revelation in Exodus 3:14 and Isaiah 43:10, 13: “I AM.”
Craig S. Keener, The IVP Bible Background Commentary: New Testament (Downers Grove, IL: InterVarsity Press, 1993), Mt 14:27.
Keener is one of the most respected of the modern New Testament scholars. My last information had him teaching at Asbury Seminary in Kentucky. I have corresponded with him in the past but not for some years.
Thanks! I have done some reading about this subject, but not from him. I will check him out.
I think I have an answer. In LATIN, which is what just about everyone in the 17th century was using to translate from since the Bible they would have been using was a copy of the Vulgate, that verse reads:
Statimque Jesus locutus est eis, dicens : Habete fiduciam : ego sum, nolite timere.
Which translates to:
And immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying: Have confidence: I am he, do not be afraid.
The Douay Rheims, which is a direct translation from the Vulgate, reads:
And immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying: Be of good heart: it is I, fear ye not.
I don’t know why St. Jerome would have translated it that way from Greek to Latin when he put together the Vulgate. There has to be a reason.
On the other hand, there was Erasmus (1469-1536) who put together what he believed to be the “original” Greek text, this became known as the Textus Receptus and many Protestant Bibles used it as the basis for further translations. (E.g., the King James Version.)
As more older manuscripts came to light it was eventually realized that there were thousands upon thousands of minor variations between the manuscripts (the first scholar to point this out in detail (John Mill, 1645-1707) was (figuratively) shot for being the messanger), and the Textus Receptus had unfortunately been based on only a handful of manuscripts. Post 1900 translations such as the RSV, NRSV, and NIV were able to benefit from this larger “base” of manuscripts but of course that just means more footnotes highlighting variations with “or…” or “other ancient authorities read…” etc.
Thank you! That is a good explanation, and goes along with some thoughts I have been pondering. Now I have more to think about!
DP, I went to a Latin to English translator.
“ego sum, nolite timere” translates to “I am, do not be afraid.”
Jerome didn’t add the “He” or “I” that others did. He translated it directly.
Yeah this sounds like a Big Deal (and I am on the outside looking in). I checked my NRSV copy–and it tends to have a high reputation among scholars (the sorts who’d rather just read the Greek in the first place). Not even a footnote. Which is just enough to make me keep in the back of my mind that there might actually be a good reason to translated it the way they did, even though you’ve made a good case that there isn’t.
It feels like a big deal to me, but I am still studying. See what DP had to say. That is where I think it started. And now I have to think some more.
Thank you for this, Aubergine!! Improving our understanding in a critical message.
In my New Living Translation Bible, Matthew 14:27 is “… I am here!” with this footnote: Or ‘The I Am’ is here; Greek reads I Am; See Exodus 3:14
Upon looking up Exodus 3:14 it reads “God replied to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM.’ with a footnote I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE.
I do pay attention to the footnotes but I don’t know if I would have understood how important this distinction is without your comment.
I’m happy it set you on a quest, Alison! This is the kind of study I enjoy.
What’s very illustrative of the degradation of our culture is that ‘I am who I am’ was used almost verbatim in the old Popeye cartoons – ‘I yam what I yam.’
Too close to be a coincidence, in my book. That was deliberately placed by a believer in Christ IMO.

Amplification two, the blog post by Steve Kirsch, additional sauce for the above:

“German CDC documents show politics drove COVID response, not science”
25 June 2024
Yours Truly: A group of journalists in Germany sued the German government under their FOIA laws to have internal documents released regarding the German CDC’s response to COVID-19 in Germany and the government’s push for COVID-19 “vaccination.” (the German CDC is called the Robert Koch-Institut [RKI].)
The initial documents “release” was heavily redacted (sound familiar?).
After more pressure, the documents were “un-redacted.”
The Kirsch article has an embedded video by Prof. Dr. Stefan Homburg regarding these documents. The video is in English, with references to the RKI documents in German (with English translation.)
The bottom line: the German government knew the truth about the COVID-19 virus (elderly and already-sick people were the most at risk), and the truth about the COVID-19 “vaccines” — and consistently lied to the German people about both.
The un-redacted report (in German) is linked at the Kirsch blog post. However, Frank Ploegman created a summary list of the key points. A screenshot image of this list is below:
Yours Truly again: IMO, substitute “DoD”, “Big Pharma”, and “Deep State” for the words “experts” and “government” in the Ploegman list above, and a clearer picture of what occurred in the United States is a result.
I am getting image not found…

The Ploegman list above was done by making a screenshot from the Kirsch blog article, then saving the screenshot and naming it as a JPG, then posting the JPG via https://postimg.cc/
I am getting:

Normally I do not.

I just typed in the URL for the Ploegman list on my computer, and it came up.
Here’s the PostImg URL, with extra spaces in the URL so it would show:

Thank you, you are very kind.
Reading that just fired a thought in a sideways direction.
They are, I believe, trying to fudge the excess death rate numbers, but have they considered that the average life expectancy, if records are kept on that, will be coming down as younger people fall victim to the jab.
I think I saw that US numbers WERE coming down.
This shows a dip and then a rise for 2024.
https://database.earth/population/united-states-of-america/life-expectancy
It shows a bit different numbers than this:
COVID-19: Reversing A Decade of Increasing American Life Expectancy
And this shows the life expectancy has been falling for a while. From 2014 to 2018.
https://ourworldindata.org/us-life-expectancy-low
Obamacare…
I would not be at all surprised. Thanks for making that connection. It makes sense.
NOW you can not go to a specialist. Instead you get a Nurse Practitioner🙄 And BEG to be sent to a specialist.
ALSO if you are over 70, you are BARRED from certain tests and such as my husband found out!
He has had a hernia for YEARS and they just sent him home and told him to wait until it gets worse. Luckily there is an inventor who came up with a belt for 3rd world farmers who can not afford a hernia operation. He is using that but it takes about an 1/2 hour to an hour to get it adjusted correctly.

Yes. It takes months to snag an appointment with a specialist.
And — MD’s are now using Physician Assistants or Certified Medical Assistants to do a lot of the work that the MD used to do. The doctor comes in to “ratify” the exam and recommendations of the P.A. or the C.M.A.
Thanks for bringing this subject today, carl. It brings up an important distinction in doctrinal views of The Word.
Just my opinion, we should not surrender the timeless words and meanings found in The Word, we should fight against those would would misapply and misinterpret them. I guess that puts me at odds with accepting a different version from a brief period of world history as Spoul believes we should from his statements.
His words:
“The word happy in our culture has been sentimentalized and trivialized. It suggested a carefree, cavalier attitude of delight.”
Gay is not a synonym for homosexual as an example. The perverts in this case do not get to hold words captive unless we allow it. The same applies above in my and many other people’s worlds. Sproul has accepted their version and I firmly disagree with that approach. Depending on translations selected, the word “happy’ is used over 230 times in the Bible.
https://biblehub.com/hebrew/835.htm
https://biblehub.com/greek/3107.htm
Happiness is clearly in the condition of being blessed and is frequently synonymous with same. It is also frequently synonymous with joy in scripture.
So I will keep on being happy and joyful and blessed in the faith and hope others are as well.
Got room for me in your lifeboat of joy & happiness? 🙂
Absolutely, my friend!
I dislike the newer versions and will hold onto my old King James version.
It is the COMMUNISTS who are always TWISTING WORDS.
For example Fascist is now considered ‘far-right’ or some such. Yet it is actually socialist in nature. The word got such a bad reputation after WWII that Gibbons (Univ of London Director) Ex-prime minster Blair and Clinton re-labeled the concept “The Third Way”
I will just say this:
I doubt that the population took that to seriously mean happiness is superficially a warm puppy or anything akin to that. I think Schultz was expressing one aspect of happiness, or temporary joy, with a childlike simplicity, akin to the song “My Favorite Things” (raindrops on roses, whiskers on kittens). A puppy often does bring comfort to a child. I have even said “Happiness is a warm puppy” to my dog, meaning that it is a comfort to pet and hold him and that I am thankful for the privilege.
As you say, “Happiness is clearly in the condition of being blessed…” To be in the moment and recognize that happiness and blessing is one of the joys of life.
Since my system does a “reset” whenever I close the browser window (or the long version: I visit Q Tree in a specially configured disposable that wipes cookies and history but leaves me logged in), I am probably the only one still getting the Subscribe popup.
Just so you know it’s still out there.
I just got it earlier. After I re-login, I have to refresh pages, and yeah, it popped up. Ignoring it.
OK so it’s not just weirdos running funky disposables in QubesOS.
That might make it important.
It’s pretty obviously a WP install. What they would be doing with the data….
I’m still seeing it as well!
It keeps popping up whenever I open up the tree.
Same here.
You’re the lucky one. 😂
Same here.

I am reasonably certain there is a relationship drama behind this story.
Yeah, … the relationship between egotistical officeholders and power.
I had the same thing happen to me.
Before buying I asked at the town’s building Inspector’s office if horses were allowed on that property and if I could build a barn. The answer was yes.
Then when I went for the actual permit the answer was ALWAYS NO!
So I had a friend get a permit for a type II shed and AFTER it was inspected, I added the stalls. 😆
I just did a refresh and got:
“Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue
Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to http://www.theqtree.com because this website requires a secure connection.”
(I’m posting this from Brave.)
….and, now, it’s working again.
Yesterday about that snub to the black girl…this has more. It has a second part showing them bringing the girl down to the front row. They wanted her as a prop which he ignored!
It also shows how tiny this crowd or at least this section of the crowd really is.
Lastly cnn of course tries to refute the story by showing him engaging with her BUT that means that his team had him reverse and go back down the row to greet the prop.
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=biden+snubs+black+girl
It’s all theater!
I wonder what her take-away from it is.
No clue but it sure ought to be that black ‘folk’ are pawns
And the cnn rebuttal is back to the old protect Biden format…you didn’t see what you saw
She should be recruited to be a spy for us.
Funny not funny.
Was she a cheerleader in HS?
Homeland Security?
High School, you know the cheerleader who’s really into the jocks on the teams.
😆
Or them into her, more literally.

“And if opposing a piece of legislation qualified as an act of treason, we’d be executing half of the people in the Swamp on a regular basis.”
I must be in the running for Slow Guy, because I’m not seeing a problem here…..
Couple thoughts.
I would say DELIBERATELY BRINGING IN TERRORISTS, OVERLOADING WELFARE SYSTEMS and CITY’S INFRASTUCTURES come DARN CLOSE to “actions constitut[ing] treason.”
Death penalty for voter fraud doesn’t sound like a bad idea, either…..
Agreed.
At least for the ring leaders.
In a sane world with an ethical and honest DOJ those would be treasonous actions
“attempts to disrupt the government’s authority”
IMO, undermining the Constitution fits the bill for disrupting the government’s authority.

Making heads or tails of this is rather difficult but we’ve all seen it happen before, so no real surprises. I suspect though the beast within is weakened and if they can hold together and find their center they might be able to kill the beast. Just not yet.

To help make more sense of it…
Not good news. 😢
They just need to keep punching away. They are weaker than last time and this new coalition is extremely fragile.
I sure hope so!
Isn’t the new coalition heavy with islamist votes? Their invasion preceded ours by years. Now it’s taken root.
Not at all saying that it wasn’t a rigged election but the foreigners are imbedded now and forever more will grow stronger..imo
Not sure how that works…hasn’t heard about the vote being given to them, but like you said, they’ve been there many years now. Surely some have it if not more. Also in areas controlled by them they likely give it out regardless of law. So Ackkkk! Likely.
C Treehouse had a lot of street scene pics in the comments. They’re breeding quickly too. Kids everywhere, pregnant women.
Sounds similar to what happened in 2020 here………
Yup.
SCHIFF, SCHIFF, SCHIFF!!!
For what it is worth, CannCon (Brian Lupo @ Gateway Pundit) and Ashe in America mentioned the SAME GUY showed up at EACH of the critical counties in 2020 for the Election Steal AND IN UKRAINE!!!! He testified against Kari Lake too.
