BREAKING: Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Strikes Down California’s Ban on Open Carry – Trump Judge Issues Scathing Opinion
A US Appeals Court on Friday in a 2-1 decision struck down a California law banning people from openly carrying firearms.
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals cited a 2022 Supreme Court ruling and said California’s ban on open carry is unconstitutional.
US Circuit Judge Lawrence VanDyke, a Trump appointee, wrote the majority opinion and blasted the state of California for banning open carry for 95% of its population.
California banned open carry on all counties with populations greater than 200,000 – which is 95% of the state.
In 2019, Mark Baid filed a lawsuit against the California Attorney General challenging the state’s ban on open carry.
Judge VanDyke, a known gun enthusiast, said California’ ban on open carry is unconstitutional.
“For most of American history, open carry has been the default manner of lawful carry for firearms. It remains the norm across the country—more than thirty states generally allow open carry to this day, including states with significant urban populations,” VanDyke wrote.
VanDyke said many states allow open carry and California has a history of open carry.
“Similarly, for the first 162 years of its history open carry was a largely unremarkable part of daily life in California. From 1850, when California first became a state, until the Mulford Act of 1967, public carry of firearms in California (open or concealed) was entirely unregulated. And when California first deviated (or considered deviating) from this practice, its reasons for doing so were less than morally exemplary,” VanDyke wrote.
“In our Nation’s history and tradition, open carry was widely recognized as being central to the Second Amendment right,” VanDyke added. “A ban on that which is at the core of the Second Amendment is not a ‘minimal burden’ on the Second Amendment right.”

This analysis is a good example of what has really been bugging me lately. It’s been one year. Trump II is in the process of paradigm-shifting victories on immigration, presidential control over the executive, and the enforcement of the CRA against the many illegalities of the racial reckoning. It has demonstrated willingness to cut higher Ed’s federal lifeline to force institutions to their knees.
It’s forced the legal definition of sex back into the law. It is rooting out billions in public support for the institutional leftist machine.
Progress in each of these areas is tangible, I can list cases, firings, funding cuts, and lawsuits, not just rhetoric.
And yet people whine because the world hasn’t been completely and utterly transformed in a mere 360ish days, and there’s still work left to do. What did you expect? 20M deportations overnight? Did it occur to you that that’s a massively difficult logistical feat to organize, and would take some time even if they WEREN’T fighting a recalcitrant system? Did you think there really was a fix everything switch?

I never even HEARD of these kinds of programs. I was asking Brave A.I. about the Somali situation last night, and then I asked if similar programs were available in my state and others, and of course they are.
Dug deeper, and the State will PAY YOU to take care of your own elderly family members, either an hourly wage or a monthly tax-free stipend of between $1,680 and $1,800 per month. Per person, apparently.
So I asked if there was means-testing, and there is.
The elderly family member is allowed to own their home, but the rest of their possessions cannot total more than $3,000 including a car. If there is no car, then their total personal possessions maximum is $2,000.
BUT, personal possessions EXCLUDES everything that would normally be in a home, like furniture, decorations, TVs, beds, computer, dressers, clothing, appliances, basically all the STUFF that any normal house would have, none of that is included in the $2,000 (no car) or $3,000 total.
So the personal possessions limit of $2K or $3K basically covers jewelry for the women as far as I can tell, and/or a nice firearm (or two, pistol and rifle) for the men.
I asked what the Social Security income limit is for the elderly person, and it was $954/month. I think my Mom gets at least several hundred dollars more than that. So I asked if $954 was the max limit, and Brave said oh no, there are lots of ways to qualify even if you get up to $2,900/month (IIRC) in Social Security.
So for anyone already taking care of an elderly family member, you can sign up and get paid up to $1,800 a month.
And if you are thinking about a situation where you may need to care for an elderly parent, but your elderly parent owns too much stuff or has too much dividend income, just have them give/sign everything over to you. Now they’re below the $3,000 personal possessions threshold (but they can keep their house and everything in it!) and likely below the $2,900/month Social Security threshold, after fine-tuning it to get around the initial $954/month hurdle.

Report: Iran Using Venezuela to Install Drone Tech in Western Hemisphere
Iran is using Venezuela as a launching point in the Western Hemisphere to embed its drone pipeline closer to U.S. territory, the Center for a Secure Free Society (SFS) warned this week.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctioned a group of individuals and entities for their role in the weapons trade between Iran and Venezuela on grounds that it constitutes a threat to U.S. interests in the Western Hemisphere.
The broader list of sanctioned individuals include Empresa Aeronautica Nacional SA (EANSA) and its chairman, Jose Jesus Urdaneta Gonzalez. IMO it’s the end game of an op. Very likely MTG’s skepticism of Trump’s anti-drug moves in the Caribbean were making Trump lose trust in both her support and her judgment. He and she were distancing from each other. THAT is when somebody saw an opportunity to strike. There are many motives, including her support for Palestinians.
Based on that, one or more intelligence agencies saw an opportunity to split her fully from Trump for their own reasons. Note that you or I may regard some of those agencies as “friend or foe, foreign or domestic”. There would undoubtedly be false attribution as well. She might think Trump was potentially behind whatever scared her, but not enough to be sure.
She has a lot of stuff that could be revealed, I’m thinking, and once she thought that was in play, she may have started looking for exits. Especially if she thought her daughter might be the next step in their efforts to influence her.
I think there was some threat to her kids, attributed in some way to Trump. Somebody played her Mom strings is my best guess.

COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 119
The general scope and design of this psalm is to magnify the Divine law, and make it honourable. There are ten words by which Divine revelation is called in this psalm, and each expresses what God expects from us, and what we may expect from him.
1. God’s law; this is enacted by him as our Sovereign.
2. His way; this is the rule of his providence.
3. His testimonies; they are solemnly declared to the world.
4. His commandments; given with authority.
5. His precepts; not left as indifferent matters to us.
6. His word, or saying; it is the declaration of his mind.
7. His judgments; framed in infinite wisdom.
8. His righteousness; it is the rule and standard of what is right.
9. His statutes; they are always binding
10. His truth or faithfulness; it is eternal truth, it shall
endure for ever.
(1-8) This psalm may be considered as the statement of a believer’s experience. The soul has its tastes as well as the body. Our relish for the word of God will be greatest, when that for the world and the flesh is least. The way of sin is a wrong way; and the more understanding we get by the precepts of God, the more rooted will be our hatred of sin; and the more ready we are in the Scriptures, the better furnished we are with answers to temptation.”

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. Or even men having prison pen-pals, period.
How does that even happen?
How does an otherwise normal woman even establish contact with a prisoner in the first place?
Do prisons have websites, with a prison pen-pal page?
How do they lure women to the pen-pal page at San Quentin, for example?
Do they advertise to women on Facebook, with alluring hooks, like “Forget exotic travel… for real excitement, invite a dangerous convicted psychopath into your life?“
Check this out. I didn’t go to the site; I was just appalled at the idea of people thinking this is a healthy way to have a relationship.

How is that even legal?
This is what happens when norms and mores and values are wholesale eliminated in a society.
Prisoners are dangerous and manipulative people, they have to be, in order to survive.
Any woman, who would in no way be able to defend herself against 99.9% of male prisoners, who chooses to contact and develop a relationship with a prisoner, has rocks in her head.
Such a woman is literally the definition of ‘a danger to herself’, and ought to be protected from contact with the most dangerous people in the country.
This is the kind of garbage that happens when strong men aren’t in charge.
How do we know?
Because men would never think to create or allow a scenario where actual prisoners could contact, manipulate and then, with 99% certainty, harm innocent (and clueless) female civilians.
Even if the men weren’t stopping it to help women, men wouldn’t allow it anyway, just because it’s insane.
There is no good thing that can come of it, and only bad.
It is an abdication of leadership and responsibility to allow or promote situations where only bad and no good can result.
It’s creating problems where none need exist.
Responsible men don’t do that.
Men are problem solvers.
And the best way to solve a stupid self-inflicted problem like ‘prison dating’ is to never allow it in the first place.
Sick anyone would create such a site. Sick anyone goes to the site.
My friend’s divorced mom met her second husband (an inmate) while she was involved in prison ministry. When my friend didn’t want her “step-dad” to walk her down the aisle at her wedding, she wanted my dad who’d been an influential man in her life, her mom refused to come to the wedding of her only child. They were estranged for Many years but eventually had some type of reconciliation.
