Unless they’ve been living under a rock, they certainly will have seen ‘The Matrix’, so it should be a ‘safe’ question to ask and get an affirmative response.

I would say probably not. They think we’re the ones in the Matrix. They might (if they’re stupid) be surprised someone (supposedly) in the matrix would make the accusation, or they might be just smart enough to realize that everyone is going to think people who disagree with them are in the matrix.

Dvorak’s 9th symphony (“From the New World”) is extremely popular in the United States, but I like the eighth just as much.

i kind of felt bad for dvorack for a while – he seemed like he was a “found talent” that they tried to mold into making hits! he rose above it i guess you could say, but it got me interested trying to go back in time to where the musicians were just master geniuses and when the “publishing houses” snuck in and started messing up the whole process!
Beethoven wrote his first symphony, and people of his day thought it was wonderful. But he broke a lot of new ground with his second symphony, and his third…was way out of the bounds of the day.
Clearly some of the public stuck with him as unconventional as he was, but for the rest of his life he got to listen to people who wished he’d go back to do something more like that nice tidy 1st Symphony.
Before him there weren’t really publishers, per se, and every once in a while, someone will open a drawer in some antique desk and out pops an early Mozart symphony that no one knew of.
well, what i was getting at initially, which dvorak seemed to be a victim of, was that he liked what he liked, and he had influences and he tried to write his own stuff. once he was “famous” (i guess after brahams came out with support so says wikipedia) the publishing houses said “oh, this form of composition is popular now, write us a bit of this” and he would then they would say “write this” and it started to be like he was dictated financially to compose “popular music” – he seemed to be able to come out of it ok, but man, the same thing happens today!
Oh, that has hit a lot of musicians. Music by itself won’t put food on the table; someone has to like it enough to pay for it. Many musicians acknowledged as geniuses today died nearly penniless. How much they are willing to give in to the pressure, is dependent on the individual.

Steve, When I was pregnant with my son, we had practically no money, but I had an album of Classical Music with a huge range of composers. I played it over and over. After a few years I was through that as my main music, but I always smiled when my son would change the radio station in the car to classical. He grew up loving artists like Pink Floyd and Queen. I didn’t realize until after he died at 42, that a lot of their music was a type of classical music. Bohemian Rhapsody comes to mind.
I guess what we do when they are little really does impact them more than we know.
I think they even call Bohemian Rhapsody “Rock Opera.”
Certainly a lot of modern groups can do longer works with very complex musical structures, I’d add Rush (earlier albums) to that list and there are undoubtedly more I’m unaware of.
As an aside, the professional musicologists don’t use the term “Classical Music” like we’re doing; they say “Orchestral Music” (music performed by an orchestra) because “Classical” to them means a specific era, 1750 (the death of JS Bach) through about 1820 (with Beethoven classed as both Classical and Romantic era).
But then one goes to Wikipedia and their article is titled “Classical Music” and includes a lot of music that doesn’t require an orchestra, they define it, basically as Western “art music.”
(Yeah, I know, Wikipedia, but I find them pretty good on non-political topics.)
And I should add that I’ll take any of them over what is called “Modern Classical Music” which is oftentimes just an aimless wandering over the musical landscape with no cohesion at all. Other times it’s deliberately “a-tonal” (I haven’t figured out precisely what that means other than “sounds bad”). Apparently the modern classical composers believe that if the music is hard to write, it should also be hard to listen to.

I lived in the LA area when Andrew Lloyd Webber was a big thing. I saw pretty much everything he did starting with Cats and Phantom of the Opera. I saw Starlight Express and Evita in London in 1985. I enjoyed them but the thing that struck me as odd was that there was only one or two songs that I remembered from each one. The staging was excellent and the casting and costumes were great. Starlight Express had the train tracks that ran all over the theater. The music was good but it was not timeless. I saw each of them once. I was not inclined to buy the albums.
The Nutcracker is a ballet I have seen many times and still enjoy. I sang in Handel’s Messiah and other classical choruses and remember those lyrics by heart.
I still know a lot of the music from Hair, South Pacific, Student Prince, Carousel, Oklahoma, Showboat, State Fair, Sound of Music and Westside Story by heart.
Webber was a little bit of a disappoint to me although I still paid to see his plays at the theater.
Some of the modern classical music is more of an exercise in discord. At least Webber didn’t do that.
Steve, baroque is my real love, and chamber music.
I don’t know a lot of baroque–just some of the really famous pieces like the Brandenburg Concerti, Four Seasons, some Handel–but I’m familiar with Mozart’s quartets and quintets. Pieces like that were very popular back then because it was cheaper to hire four or five musicians than a small orchestra–and if you didn’t have it live, there wasn’t any Memorex to make up for it.

Someone posted that she is a devout Catholic and would not leave the father of her children for that reason. TBH, I find that to be kind of ridiculous (would she leave him if he was physically abusive? if so, why not if he is emotionally abusive?) but far be it from me to tell her how to practice her faith. Regardless, it is HER choice and her’s alone. One certainly has to wonder about the negative undercurrents within that house.

She would. It’s not even a question in the current ‘system’, unless she has been caught on videotape light them on fire or something, and even then, the father would still have to prove that she meant harm with malice aforethought.
It used to be that society taught men to cherish and protect and love their wives, as the Bible teaches. And it used to be that if a woman sought divorce for a reason other than adultery (the only permissible reason given by Jesus Christ, the founder AND head of His church, and the Savior of the body, i.e., the members of His church), the children would stay with the father, because he was the financial provider and caretaker.
And this reality acted as a strong motivator to prevent a wife from seeking divorce over grounds that were not legitimate and serious in nature, thereby preserving the family unit of both a mother and father raising children together, which gives children the best chance for a good and productive life.
People can certainly take issue with certain aspects of the way things ‘used to be’, and no system is perfect, but that one worked for countless generations.
And it only took one generation to destroy pretty much everything.
The baby-boomer generation (not all baby-boomers by any means, but that generation) threw all that came before them in the trash, and lit it up like a dumpster fire at a riot.
And their manifold wisdom has been on bold display ever since.

I work very closely with another person. We research and write together. We talk almost every day, I visit her for a week every year in another state. We are distant cousins. We talk about politics, and she is as conservative as I am. But I had never mentioned Q. I wasn’t sure she would be receptive, as she is a Fox News kind of conservative, if you know what I mean.
One day she calls me, very excited. She says “I didn’t want to email this, so I called (like they are reading my emails but not listening to my phone, yeah right), because this stuff is crazy.”

I just know that whatever the reason is, it won’t apply to me.
I have many theories but don’t know for sure why people have been banned, but I saw it (and experienced it) long before Q.
The world is changing rapidly, and things are not as simple as they were even a few weeks ago. Q is an international phenomenon and a symbol of freedom.
If Q were detrimental to Pres. Trump and MAGA (as has been stated over there), Trump could disavow it in a second. Smart people will watch, listen, and observe. Maybe some egos were threatened by Q, but now it is becoming clear that being on the wrong side of the Q movement will not bode well for the future. Maybe the loss of the most insightful posters, whose ideas people came to the site to read and respond to, has been eye-opening. Just speculation….

The process of laying out all options, playing Devil’s Advocate, arguing every imaginable possibility, is fundamental to analysis and decision making….. and would be mandatory for our military to role play various outcomes to develop the best possible SOP’s.

I didn’t realize it when I was a kid, but my dad was probably a frustrated lawyer, even though he was an engineer, either that or he had terrific professors. Dad loved to ‘argue’ a point, professionally. It was never personal, though often passionate.
But we don’t argue that way anymore, do we?
During family dinners, I would mention a random event in the news or something that happened in school. Dad would seize on the issue and force me to defend my position. THEN, he would force me to defend the position of the opposition, thereby arguing both sides, critically…., which often revealed the flaws in my original position.
Light bulb moments.
The thing dad did, which frustrated me as a 12yr old, was to question my question to eliminate the presumptions/bias within my question. For example, I would say, “All white people do X”, and dad would say, “Define white people, please.”, and within moments, my argument fell apart.
It became a game between us and we would award/concede points to each other. He taught me to empathize with others (admit to another point of view), not jump to a conclusion without thinking, and make clear, rational decisions ONLY when the flaws in both arguments had been flushed.
Perfect process, right? Except when Sam Donelson was arguing with Reagan…., everything Sam said was wrong in our house.
Dinner was never a 10 minute eat and run in our family. Dinner was a discussion that often carried on through dish-washing. Dad was relentless and so was Grandpa.
When I reached college, I finally figured out dad was playing with Socratic method (question the question), when I was young. I understand it now and out of pure habit, did the same thing with my own children.
Because we’re all a product of our upbringing, I stupidly assumed all families did the same thing.
I was wrong.
Talking to each other requires an effort and listening is essential.
Recently, Son had a bunch of buddies home from college to spend the night. These are kids who have known each other since they were 2 years old, in Baptist preschool. Our house is next door to the school, thus, these young men are like my own kids. At breakfast, someone said something about guns and they launched into an hour long discussion about guns/gun laws/variations of laws, and on and on. In the kitchen, Holden was drying serving pieces for me, putting them away into the same place where they went when he was a kid. Suddenly, Holden gave me a big hug, saying, “I can’t tell you how much I miss our big talks…. like we used to do when we were kids”. He surprised me. I realized I was looking at a man, and he was no longer a kid. I also realized talking like a family was unusual to him and he treasured the idea.
After breakfast, the boys assembled in our master bedroom, taking positions on the couches and chairs, just as they did when they were kids, legs folded beneath them, feet on coffee tables, laying in front of the fire, sprawled out. The convo continued and went to other subjects, women, school, careers, parents, and cooking.
They were there for hours, in fact, until lunch.
Rarely a look at a cell phone.
Maybe we just need to start asking the right questions.
Maybe we need to re-learn how to talk to each other.
Maybe we’re expecting too much from an internet forum where glib comments are commonplace and sarcasm or tone is impossible to detect.
The boys/men had no fear of alienation/rejection as is common on the internet. I mean, they’ve known each other all their lives – alienation is not an option. Our former host would have never banished us all, face to face, and the false assumptions made about Rosey or Mueller would have been ferreted out, quickly.
Or am I still dreaming and expecting too much?

My dad bought two metropolitan newspapers every day. After he died, my mother continued the same tradition.
We always got Time magazine — which wasn’t as whacked out then (always better than Newsweek) — and my mom was the first to request the newest political tomes from the library. The librarians would say, ‘We thought you’d be adding your name to the waiting list right away. Just to let you know, this one has a two- to three-week wait.’

Just got too big for his britches, I think. Had his own show on Newsmax – he had that Harlan Hill on his show a lot and was VERY outspoken about his support for DJT. Used to irritate me, tho, when he would smugly say DJT needed to contact HIM to get the real story on immigration. I mean, seriously?

He was firmly behind Donald Trump as far back as, I believe, 2014, and well into his presidency.
However, he became very critical of Pres. Trunp due to the failure of Congress to pass immigration legislation, and interference by the district courts.

So although it seemed special at the time, and certainly was fun – the odds of those concurrences occurring would not be especially small – especially in the context of the various discussion threads.
So probably best to chalk it up to serendipity, since we discovered a mutual interest through the coincidences.

I really liked FOTM for a while, because of its Christian emphasis, but I slowly realized there was something like anti-semitism and/or racism which that I wasn’t comfortable with….I forget exactly what. From my experience, you could always make your Disqus account private – I look at that, as well as the number of comments and upvotes, to get a feel for a person commenting – if private, I have to wonder why. I prefer transparency and honesty over secrecy so I refuse to make my account private. I am not ashamed of my past posts and when someone tries to stalk me, I use the block feature. Stalk away, people – have at it! No skin off my nose.

Data is inconclusive. Some recent posts have only a very few comments, others have what looks like average (not a huge news day) numbers.
Maybe there is a comment problem, maybe numbers are down because so many have been banned/left. Hard to say.
I look at numbers also, but then scan names. Major numbers of unknowns. Far fewer regulars, but certain regulars are prolific, more than usual, which may be bumping numbers also.

But for others, the misstatements are IMO deliberate distortions. That is what causes anger.

Yeah, so after last night’s debacle, I will not be partaking of the drivel Hannity serves up while anxiously awaiting some real news. I’ll DVR, wait to read confirmation that something is actually happening, and then fast forward to whatever is actually new. I do find actually watching to be preferable to transcripts as facial expressions and voice intonations allow me to skim through the little interactions with the host, which are mostly useless.
My BIGGEST pet peeve is (1) commercials and (2) talking heads who talk out of their azz. Therefore, I DVR literally EVERYTHING I may want to watch. 90% of Hannity falls under the FF button.
It was almost like Fox designed Hannity last night to be a massive insult to Hannity viewers.
I read a post from an anon last night that Q actually tricked Fox into canceling that interview. Remember how Q’s first post the other day sounded angry that there had been a leak about the whistleblower? This anon thinks that Q posted that fake tweet from POTUS to scare the Deep State. They were afraid something really damaging would come out, so they pressured Fox into cancelling it. I’m not sure if I believe that or not, but it’s a good theory.

they are really pushing this. and trust me – no matter what you think the “other guys” out there are buying it all hook line and sinker. i am hearing conversations in the halls that the economy is right on the verge of collapse all of a sudden. of course, these people said this a couple weeks back, and they’ve said it on and off, but the economy is one of the main tools they can use against the president, so it’s just a matter of time.
As soon as Bill Maher said it, I had that cold chill. Of course, they will tank the economy because they hate Trump. It won’t take that much money to do it. All they have to do is look for a low volume day and trigger auto sell algorithms.
I’m also getting the idea that the Paris Accord was something of a bailout for the EU. Without the USA money for climate change, EU economy is in the toilet + cost of the migrants.
with all the over-valued tech companies, they have untold BILLIONS already baked into the equation that they can “lose” and still not really lose any money. yes, blue collar, regular men and women who invest will lose their shirts (which is the whole point) but those at the tippy top will not and they will come out fine.

Great comments, and while I can tell you that Sundance DID KNOW there was a lifeboat, I cannot know everything he does.
Likewise, Sundance also cannot know everything that is going on with me, although I believe that he DOES KNOW SOME THINGS. Hopefully not all of it is disinformation, but some may be. We are in a very interesting time.
I have reason to believe that several attempts have been made to write me into a narrative to close out certain matters, and that such efforts not only continue, but are in high gear because of what is coming. Read that as FALSE FLAG.
Thus there is a lot of uncertainty as to how my story exits here. I’ll explain a bit more soon. But the bottom line is that Sundance does not need certain liabilities that come with me, or the rest of the Q clan, on the site.
Ride with Q, and you accept the mission. That mission isn’t an easy one. We are up against an enemy that seeks to destroy everything – even the knowledge of what we once were.
The Q theme of WWG1WGA doesn’t necessarily mean we all travel the same road to get where we are going. Some will get there sooner than others. Some will have their names blackened by the enemy – others won’t. I am thankful that I have a larger perspective on things – it gives me strength.

WOW Sylvia!! this just happened? I hope you just posted your shovel and left!
Short version is SD posted an article where he took a position on Q and basically he didn’t want any more Q talk in his house. Okay, fine. But his position was based on wildly inaccurate imaginings of who and what Q is/are and what Q has said, and he allowed ultra zealous trolls to run wild through the Treehouse for days making horrible statements and attacks on Q supporters.
Understand, I knew it wasn’t personally directed at me because I posted very little about Q if ever. What was painful was the hatred turned against other Treepers because they follow Q. It was ugly.
But it was really only the latest in a strange series of events where SD’s posts were growing more dark and despairing, troll activity was high, and regulars were disappearing from the board.
So it was basically Veteran’s Day that this happened and I ended up here. It was like I tumbled down the rabbit hole and discovered this is where everyone went who I had noticed was gone. And more have been showing up.
Around Nov. 11 there are some interesting threads here where people shared their experiences getting banned or learning they were banned. At the TH people assume you have to have been really bad to get banned. Not so much. You don’t have to have done anything at all except visit this blog and you can find yourself banned from the TH.
Anyway, your posts were always a bright spot so I’m glad you’re here.
I moved over to twitter to follow Praying medic, Lisa Mei Crowley, Brian Cates, Bill Mitchell Rex, Wictor…All peeps SD followed…But it starting getting dark and desparate with SD not believing TRUMP had a plan…
Then I watched in horror as SD started calling out good people with REAL NAMES–making fun- literally …saw a huge blowup and when the others took high road–SD took it real low.. All I ever did wrong was to suggest that Sessions might NOT be a Deep State Traitor. I explicitly stated, he might be, but I doubt it. But he might be, maybe the hyenas are correct (I did not use the word hyenas then, just now).
Posters engaged in a daily, vicious bombardment of character assassination, too vicious to really take in, so cruel and sadistic it was.
It is too bizarre and hysterical to understand, but the red line started at the proposition that Sessions MIGHT not be a Deep State Traitor, whatever else he MIGHT be.
And that was the exact point upon which Sundance attacked me personally, which seemed like lunacy to me, as well as more character assassination.

This is an odd point of what, evaluation, assessment, judgment, wonderment.
There have been certain – – as the hoity toity say – – “inflection points” scrubbed out of recent history, but significant to those paying attention.
Waco I was one of many.
To my mind, Waco II was a significant point, for many reasons far different from Waco II, or Ruby Ridge or others.
Waco II is/was unique, but sharing.
Sundance was brilliant in his analysis. supported by common everyday brilliant people like OldIowaGuy (probably wrong on the handle).
Then Sundance precipitously dropped the whole thing. He had some obscure explanation like “these are biker gangs, so what” but he intimated something else.
The sheer tyranny of Waco II has never been refuted, that I have seen.
The two Wacos were so emblematic of what America is NOT about, regardless of the non-government participants, that is shocked me that Sundance gave up the pursuit of Waco II.
But I did not question him or regard him badly. A man has his reasons, whatever, and a man is a man. Let the man’s reasons be his reasons.
Sundance is not engaged in a game.
A while back before I rejected Sundance, he has an unusual post alluding to two songs pertaining to himself. I cannot remember what those songs were.
But he said: this is me, every line.
So I listened to the songs, and read each lyric, keeping in mind the revelation Sundance had made.
And I saw and accepted what Sundance was saying about himself.
That is just so peculiar. I just really can’t get over it. And then to have people on the board who have no clue what has happened be all fat, dumb, and happy theorizing that us miscreants must have really misbehaved to get 86’d, or we left in a huff because SD tried (so kindly, so gently–gag–so compassionately) that Q is not real and we just couldn’t handle reality.
It is maddening. But of course, they don’t know. How could they know? But they are so prejudiced against Q followers or Q tolerant people that they ignorantly assume all sorts of awful things.
And how do people revere SD so very much when he does stuff like that? Okay, I admit, as much time as I spent over there I didn’t see SD go after very many people very often. It was pretty rare. But I will say in most cases it seemed like he came down HARD on people who hadn’t done anything wrong or their transgression seemed pretty minor to me.
Sundance had his Captain Queeg moments.
I remember when he so vividly expressed his disgust with the WHOLE board, EVERYONE, and “threatened” to require a password (“wolverines”) to post.
And one or two other occasions where he expressed his DIGUST with a post and my reaction was: how would anyone have possibly known what they said was wrong?
I just let that pass.
Inexplicable.
I remember having the same feeling when I saw him go off on someone–how was someone to know what they said or asked was wrong, because it wasn’t obvious to me. I just remember thinking, “wow, glad that wasn’t me–whew.”
So okay, now that I think about that a bit, WTH was the matter with me that I looked up to him so much? Yeah, he does good research if he wants to and his analysis is pretty good. I learned a LOT about trade and economics. I’m really grateful for that.
I got banned for sticking with the sting theory – which in broad seems to be correct. I may have been wrong on the details, cause looks like POTUS was “Stinger in Chief” – but that is in fact A GOOD THING – means the sting was not obvious.
But the comment that got me banned on that thread was when I said to SD that it was ironic that an Aussie appeared to have more faith in his POTUS than SD. I felt bad as I hit send, but my blood was up.
I apologised later by email – got no response.
I no longer feel bad for that comment BECAUSE IT IS THE TRUTH. SD’s words and actions since my banning prove me right. I will not apologise for the truth. I will send them an e-mail withdrawing my apology.
the ONLY time SD replied to me was when I posited that Trump interviewed Mueller and the very next day RR appointed him special council–musing–NO Coincidences with POTUS TRUMP!
He replied in ALL CAPS! SOMETIMES ITS JUST A COINCIDENCE!!!!!

Very true. He would not. And in most cases, that is not what got people banned. In fact, I think it is fair to say most of us don’t know why we were banned, or we were banned after making a very innocuous comment, or were banned after posting here.
I should add, I really feel for the moderators over there. Their job has to be a nightmare.

Easy.
Because SD’s prejudices and biases aligned with their own prejudices and biases, and reinforced them.
‘We’ were the targets, but ‘they’ are the choir.
So ‘we’ have a very different perception of the ‘events’ as they unfolded than they do.
What always stands out to me is their certitude, their absolute certainty that they are ‘right’, without having done hardly any due diligence.
And even when you have done your due diligence, one has to allow for the possibility that you could be wrong.
You don’t have to believe that you are wrong, in fact it’s very hard to operate on the assumption that you are wrong (I think Greg House, M.D. made a similar observation 😉 ), but you have to allow for the possibility and consider it.
Because when you don’t — when you forget to allow for the possibility that you could be wrong — that becomes a HUGE blind spot in your analysis. And that is when you are most susceptible to going the wrong direction, rushing over the cliff with the entire herd of lemmings.
For someone who runs his website in a somewhat authoritarian fashion — or anyone in a position of leadership, for that matter — it’s those who are willing to question or challenge that provide a figurative ’emergency brake’, a reason to pause and reflect on the possibility that one could be wrong, or at the very least, another point of view might have merit.
If you purge all of those people, all you’re left with are kiss-asses and yes-men.
And those people will never tell you anything they think you don’t want to hear.
SD is certainly smart enough and experienced enough to know all of this, to recognize all of the red flags, and yet he’s ignoring all of it. He’s letting it happen. He’s helping it to happen.
And that is very strange conduct for someone as capable as he is.

If you can remember what the two songs were, please post them, that would be a fascinating insight to his view of himself, and might explain some of his behavior (in that context) that is otherwise inscrutable.
Now that I think about it, it seems like maybe I do remember something like you described, but I can’t be sure if I’m remembering it, or just thinking I remember it because I’m thinking about it now.

Searching the site seems to only bring up titles with the search terms…nothing rang a bell. Trying to remember…on or about his birthday…picture of whiskey and cigars I think. Song from his youth (1960s I guessed) and cultural change? And then another, newer song. Two different genres. Classic blue-pill reaction.
When the truth is not ‘comfortable’ or does not reconcile with their preconceived notions, they just ignore it and make up their own explanation to reconcile with what they want to believe, one that makes them ‘feel’ better.
Then another one comes along and builds on that false foundation. And another.
Pretty soon the comfortable ‘error’ or false belief becomes the accepted belief, and discussion changes to different thoughts and opinions about the implications of the false belief, a sort of variation on ‘making the buyer think past the sale’.
It’s an entire psychology of coping with conflict or ‘unpleasantness’ or ‘inconvenient truth’ by refusing to accept reality or even look closely at it. The condescension (references to Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy) and the enabling of SD’s conduct by spinning it as some kind of passive-aggressive ‘fatherly love’ (and SD letting that garbage stand) is like watching a train wreck.
They will let no one come between them and their blue pill. 🙂
To me, Q is actually more a symbol of “up yours” to the people who try to ban him, than someone I’m going to place huge faith in (though it’s fun to read and extend on peoples’ interpretations).

Interesting thing about Eustace Mullins’s books is that they were published in runs of 10,000, and then bought up the next day and destroyed. What copies that are left are the ones that either he owned or would have gone to the complete repositories. There aren’t that many of them any more. The Library of Congress is one.
