Own Nothing . . . Be Happy
An expression has become bandied about recently that could be a prediction or, perhaps, a policy to achieve a future goal where ownership in the world would be a privilege enjoyed only by a select group of uber-rich intelligentsia.
You’ll Own Nothing and You’ll Be Happy
The human right to property would be abolished for the benefit of a few. Whatever you need or want, you’ll rent as a service . . . but will never own.
The power of ownership would be invested in the Lords of this world, and used to satisfy their every desire and inclination while the multitude of Serfs of this world (that’s you and me) supply both the manpower required to offer services, and the patronage required to actually use those services.
This thought of abolishing ownership, except for within a select group, warms the cockles of every oligarch’s heart, as well as organizations such as the World Economic Forum, but is anathema to the practical thoughts and practices of good, honest, hard-working people the world over.
From a very different point of view, however, “Own nothing and be happy” exemplifies a goal of our Christian life here on earth. We don’t follow Christ for the purpose of gaining power, wealth, fame or physical possessions on earth. Quite to the contrary, our life on earth will be beset by troubles.
Jesus said that in the world we will have tribulation (John 16:33), and Paul instructed Timothy that there “will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power” (2 Timothy 3:1-17).
But our lot and goal as Christians is a happiness in Christ that is beyond our full understanding. “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior” (Habakkuk 3:17-18).
And Paul expressed to the Philippians that “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want” (Philippians 4:12)
Paul knew the secret, and the application of that secret in our lives is essential, so that we can count ourselves among God’s selected throng who are able to proclaim . . .

Well, IMO it appears that the author of the linked article about “Marty” let the political cat out of the bag with the slam against POTUS45 regarding the debate with HRC.
One suspects that those big eyes of “Marty” may well be recording peoples’ faces and speech, and are gathering information from non-RFID blocked driver’s licenses and credit cards carried by said people. One also suspects that if “mask mandates” come back into universal diktat, “Marty” can be programmed to point out the un-masked.

Yep, that’s kind of a must. At home too. Think thieves with an RFI reader. I have a story about that but not now.
Look what the “private, accurate, reliable” voting machines do without our knowledge. We have no idea what kind of spying these robots will be doing. If it could ever be proved that one had been used to get key information, I think it could be challenged as a violation of the Fourth Amendment — but that takes forever, and the damage would already have been done.
I hope the need for people in those positions will become apparent. Entry-level jobs are being taken.

He inventories shelves by scanning the bar code label for each product, then counts the products aligned behind the first product, knowing the size of the front for each product, thus he can order product if he is trusted that much. In some cases he is not given the permission to order, but rather it’s an alert for a manager who can order to go check the shelf.
It IS a step ahead of where Walmart was ten years ago. Perhaps still is.
Walmart would know product quantity IN the store, but NOT product on the shelf for customer selection..

I dumped Brave Search and made Yandex my default search engine. I have recommended Brave Search here in the past, but no more. I am done.
I started having doubts about Brave Search a week ago when I saw the screenshot below about their poor results for “how to make baby formula.” I tested it myself and was disappointed. Then, earlier today, I went on Brave Search to look for Revolver’s excellent reporting on Ray Epps. I’m not going to do screenshots, but all I got in the Brave search results for “Revolver Ray Epps” was the usual garbage “fact-checking” websites and propaganda. Frustrated, I went to Yandex.com, typed in the same exact “Revolver Ray Epps” search term, and found what I was looking for in the first result. That sealed it. Yandex it is.
Out of curiosity, I performed the same “Revolver Ray Epps” search on Baidu (China’s version of Google). Second result was some no-name blog with a link to the Revolver story. So yes, I had an easier time finding information about Ray Epps on a Communist Chinese search engine than I did Brave. Unacceptable!

OTOH, it’s easy to find information about the “debunking” of “trans” angle on Salvador Ramos, but very hard to find the original [possibly mis/dis/mal-] information without restricting the search, and I’m not sure if the information even CAN BE found via presearch.
Thus, my first impression is that it’s a contender, but I’m not ready to say that it’s overall better than Brave search. Very much worth continued testing and investigation, though.

This seals the deal for me. The chief was guaranteed MKed to “paralysis”. That is one of the easiest things to do with MK.

Uvalde Police Chief Peter Arredondo — who prevented law enforcement from entering the school — is reportedly a Democrat who donated to Beto O’Rourke.
Why hasn’t Beto condemned this incompetent fool for getting kids killed?
IMO this provides motive for the CoP. Also something similar will likely be found for the door stop. Why were the US Marshals there in the parking lot tazing cuffing parents? Why did Mitch bend so fast signaling he’s ready to advance new Gun Control legislation when the smoke still hasn’t cleared yet. Why is Cornyn the only one defending the PC as he talks about split second decisions. This is very wicked stuff and it likely involves both houses and both sides of the aisle.

All of the major police shootings dating back to 2014 happened in deep Blue cities where we all know damn well that the police chiefs wouldn’t have been hired in the first place if the local D machine didn’t approve of it first. North America has a couple of places where the tectonic plates of the world are smushing together — one such spot creates the Rockies. Another such spot creates the Sierra Nevada Mountains. A much older version created the Appalachians. The Cascades is where one plate is being shoved under another.
Africa has a region where the plates are being pulled apart, known as The Great Rift. In this rift, there are several lakes, three of which are world-class — Victoria, Tanganyika, and Malawi (North to South).
I’ve spoken at some length about Tanganyika and Malawi and shown video. Today, I’ll talk about Victoria.
In surface area, Victoria is the largest of the Rift Lakes. It has, in fact, the largest surface area of any lake in Africa and the second-largest surface area in the world (after Lake Superior in the US). It is yuge.
Unlike Tanganyika and Malawi, Victoria is not a deep north/south crack in the rift. It is, instead, a great basin. Its maximum depth is around 270 feet and its average depth is about 130 feet.
Further, Victoria does not have many rock walls and sandy bottoms, but its bottom is thickly blanketed with mud and its sides with reeds. This is one reason why diving videos are in short supply — the visibility is generally poor. In addition, the lake is thoroughly populated by the Nile crocodile and hippopotami. The salinity and hardness that protect visitors to Tanganyika and Malawi from local parasites are also lacking.
At one point in the last century, Victoria exhibited the same type of cichlid explosion as the other two lakes, and had fish found nowhere else, like —

When the topic of Lake Victoria comes up, tropical fishkeepers tend to get quiet and sad. There used to be 500 species of unique cichlid fish there, and it is thought that more than half are extinct. Two great waves of this were intentional introductions of foreign species into the lake.
In the 1950’s, it was thought that Lake Victoria could use a game/trophy fish that Europeans could catch on lines, so the Nile Perch was introduced —
It promptly ate everything it could in the lake — and when that was done, began to eat its own, finally rolling off its population growth in the 1990’s. Many of the local fish were long gone.
To add insult to injury, the water hyacinth (native to South America) was added to “pretty things up” in the 1990’s. Instead, it created “dead zones” and mats of plants that interfered with boating, water circulation, and industrial intake.
From 1950 to today, Lake Victoria has become barely recognizable, and much of its genetic diversity is gone for good.

Garland and Uvalde are two Texas communities with similarities common to small towns across America. Their residents are traditionally patriotic, hard-working, overwhelmingly Christian, and conservative both fiscally and socially, and they are targets for the leftists in this country who wish to change the very character of what makes Texas, well, “Texas, it’s a whole other country!”
For full disclosure, I am a Texas lover. The first fall night that I spent under a big Texas sky beside a mesquite fire, watching more shooting stars in five minutes than I had ever seen in my entire life growing up in light-polluted New Orleans, I fell in love with the place.
I am going to compare and contrast the attacks that both Uvalde and Garland endured, separated by just over seven years, with vastly different outcomes.
On May 3, 2015, two Muslim jihadists drove from their mosque in Phoenix, Arizona, to Garland to attack a gathering at the Garland Convention Center (GCC). Why? The shooters were upset that two anti-jihadists, Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller, were sponsoring a “Draw Mohammed” contest at the GCC

As readers may be aware, Muslims believe that it is blasphemous to render a likeness of their prophet. They are less likely to wish to discuss the fact that their prophet married his second wife, Aisha, when she was six years old, consummating the marriage when she had reached the relatively mature age of nine. But I digress.
The two shooters had been well equipped by their fellow believers with the very best body armor and weaponry. Nothing is too good for those who carry on the jihad. Besides the support of their mosque, these jihadists enjoyed the support and counsel of none other than the FBI.
Yeah, you read that right: The Federal Bureau of Investigations. An agent had been assigned to shadow the jihadists and support their efforts, urging them by text to “Tear-up Texas!” My Texas? Are you crazy? I guess they are. By the way, the FBI agent was actually arrested by the Garland Police Department as he fled the scene of the gunfight that I am about to recount.
What happened next? The mess was cleaned-up (in more ways than one) and the contest continued. And what did the FBI tell the press to explain exactly why the FBI was aiding Muslim jihadists? In fact, James Comey neverprovided a statement or explanation. To this day, the MSM has never pressed the FBI for an accounting. Please recall that this all transpired during Barack Obama’s administration. Enough said.
Unfortunately for the 19 children and two adults in the Uvalde attack, no Garland traffic cop was present when they desperately needed one. Instead of swift, decisive reactions, the law enforcement officers in Uvalde seemed to have taken seriously BLM’s preaching when faced with dangerous criminals. Sadly, that day, Hispanic lives did not matter to them.
Doesn’t the training manual for the Uvalde police state that an active shooter is to be met with overwhelming and unrelenting force until he is taken out? Yes, as a matter of fact, it does. What impact on this nation will desperate 911 calls from ten-year-old kids under siege have? That’s hard to say except I hope that it will be positive.

How does the Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable searches play into this, if it does? Since people are voluntarily putting the information out, I suppose it is fair game. But what is to stop the spying? I personally don’t have the capability to spy on all the social media users of a particular group, so why is it okay for some entity to do it?
Another issue is whether monitoring the social media posts can lead to information that would not otherwise be available. In other words, you don’t give out certain information, but it can be gleaned by doing detective work on your posts. The only answer I see is not to post.
Does that mean they’re searching through millions of users on every social media site on the internet, or is it something that only applies to laptops or other machines supplied by the school which may be jigged in some way…

I’m a retired teacher. You can’t control kids without being observant. Perhaps since the entire school is ESL, the grade level/ages are not normal. Although in the district I taught in some schools were 75% hispanic, with Bi-Lingual classes only available through 3rd grade. The kids were not old for their grade in these classes.
One question that comes to mind is if J6 detainees are being detained under emergency Executive Orders related to these secret laws that are so secretive that Congress has not seen them.

Despite the enormity of her diagnosis, it was not as big for her as her love of family and enjoyment of the things she was able to do.
I have to concede the truth within the aphorism, “when you’re up to your ass in alligators, it’s easy to forget you came to drain the swamp.” You’ve been knocked from one complication to another for months now and are probably pretty tired and frustrated….but once you get to the other side of such life-threatening annoyances, you can have a quality life.
And in getting from here to there, you have all these weirdo “friends-in-a-box” who will help.
