Smart, savvy, tough, loyal…these are just a few words that accurately describe the amazing Sarah Huckabee Sanders, MAGA warrior extraordinaire. How popular is Sarah?
Let’s start with the fact that, in April 2018, the UK-based polling firm YouGov published the results of its “World’s Most Admired” survey. Respondents in the United States ranked Huckabee Sanders the ninth most admired woman in the world. Heck, even Snope’s acknowledges this truth!
Part of that popularity comes from her toughness and grit….
She had an incredibly difficult job…much like being a guard at a juvenile detention center. This requires the patience of Job himself…another reason for her popularity…
But perhaps the biggest reason for her popularity is that she represented and defended MAGA and the President so well. As his spokesman, she was often asked what POTUS meant when he said or tweeted something, and though the answers varied somewhat, they all amounted to….
Sadly, all good things have their end in THIS life, and Sarah is stepping down as WH Press Secretary to go home to Arkansas and spend time with her children. We are all going to miss her, BIGLY.
That said, at last night’s 2020 election kickoff rally POTUS brought her on-stage and what happened next was entirely predictable…the crowd went totally berserk! And rightfully so.
It can legitimately be said that one can gauge the effectiveness and quality of a conservative by the amount of vitriol and hate they get from the vile and pathetic left, and going by that metric Sanders ranks right up there with POTUS himself. And so there was no way POTUS, or this crowd, was going to let her go away without showering her with some well deserved love. Listen…..
Above we asked just how popular is Sarah Sanders. Well, this video has already been viewed over 95k times already in less than 24 hours.
So, on behalf of the Wolf Den, we say…..Thank you, Sarah, for fighting so hard, being so tough, so unwaveringly loyal, and for doing such a fantastic job of helping deliver MAGA to our Republic.

I thought it appropriate on this, the 75th Anniversary of the D-day landings in Normandy….the beginning of the end of the vile evil and scourge of WWII…to single out our President’s marvelous commemorative speech, which I feel entirely deserving of it’s own post here in our space.
How good was this speech? A: even CNN’s Bob Costa praised it.
Prior to that text, however, I have taken the liberty of including what I feel are the three most important scenes from what is unquestionably and inarguably one of the finest films ever made on the subject of D-day and the momentous few days following it…Saving Private Ryan.
Not because of the film’s fictional plot, but rather because of the profound ideas and deep emotions the film so accurately and indelibly captures throughout. And it is these things that were so perfectly captured in President Trump’s remarks made today in Normandy.
I place these videos here so that they might appropriately place you correctly in both heart and mind to fully appreciate President’s historic remarks delivered today overlooking one of the landing sites.

We are gathered here on Freedom’s Altar. On these shores, on these bluffs, on this day 75 years ago, 10,000 men shed their blood, and thousands sacrificed their lives, for their brothers, for their countries, and for the survival of liberty.
Today, we remember those who fell, and we honor all who fought right here in Normandy. They won back this ground for civilization.
To more than 170 veterans of the Second World War who join us today: You are among the very greatest Americans who will ever live. You’re the pride of our nation. You are the glory of our republic. And we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Here with you are over 60 veterans who landed on D-Day. Our debt to you is everlasting. Today, we express our undying gratitude.
When you were young, these men enlisted their lives in a Great Crusade — one of the greatest of all times. Their mission is the story of an epic battle and the ferocious, eternal struggle between good and evil.
On the 6th of June, 1944, they joined a liberation force of awesome power and breathtaking scale. After months of planning, the Allies had chosen this ancient coastline to mount their campaign to vanquish the wicked tyranny of the Nazi empire from the face of the Earth.
The battle began in the skies above us. In those first tense midnight hours, 1,000 aircraft roared overhead with 17,000 Allied airborne troops preparing to leap into the darkness beyond these trees.
Then came dawn. The enemy who had occupied these heights saw the largest naval armada in the history of the world. Just a few miles offshore were 7,000 vessels bearing 130,000 warriors. They were the citizens of free and independent nations, united by their duty to their compatriots and to millions yet unborn.
There were the British, whose nobility and fortitude saw them through the worst of Dunkirk and the London Blitz. The full violence of Nazi fury was no match for the full grandeur of British pride.
There were the Canadians, whose robust sense of honor and loyalty compelled them to take up arms alongside Britain from the very, very beginning.
There were the fighting Poles, the tough Norwegians, and the intrepid Aussies. There were the gallant French commandos, soon to be met by thousands of their brave countrymen ready to write a new chapter in the long history of French valor.
And, finally, there were the Americans. They came from the farms of a vast heartland, the streets of glowing cities, and the forges of mighty industrial towns. Before the war, many had never ventured beyond their own community. Now they had come to offer their lives half a world from home.
This beach, codenamed Omaha, was defended by the Nazis with monstrous firepower, thousands and thousands of mines and spikes driven into the sand, so deeply. It was here that tens of thousands of the Americans came.
The GIs who boarded the landing craft that morning knew that they carried on their shoulders not just the pack of a soldier, but the fate of the world. Colonel George Taylor, whose 16th Infantry Regiment would join in the first wave, was asked: What would happen if the Germans stopped right then and there, cold on the beach — just stopped them? What would happen? This great American replied: “Why, the 18th Infantry is coming in right behind us. The 26th Infantry will come on too. Then there is the 2nd Infantry Division already afloat. And the 9th Division. And the 2nd Armored. And the 3rd Armored. And all the rest. Maybe the 16th won’t make it, but someone will.”
One of those men in Taylor’s 16th Regiment was Army medic Ray Lambert. Ray was only 23, but he had already earned three Purple Hearts and two Silver Stars fighting in North Africa and Sicily, where he and his brother Bill, no longer with us, served side by side.
In the early morning hours, the two brothers stood together on the deck of the USS Henrico, before boarding two separate Higgins landing craft. “If I don’t make it,” Bill said, “please, please take care of my family.” Ray asked his brother to do the same.
Of the 31 men on Ray’s landing craft, only Ray and 6 others made it to the beach. There were only a few of them left. They came to the sector right here below us. “Easy Red” it was called. Again and again, Ray ran back into the water. He dragged out one man after another. He was shot through the arm. His leg was ripped open by shrapnel. His back was broken. He nearly drowned.
He had been on the beach for hours, bleeding and saving lives, when he finally lost consciousness. He woke up the next day on a cot beside another badly wounded soldier. He looked over and saw his brother Bill. They made it. They made it. They made it.
At 98 years old, Ray is here with us today, with his fourth Purple Heart and his third Silver Star from Omaha. Ray, the free world salutes you. Thank you, Ray.
Nearly two hours in, unrelenting fire from these bluffs kept the Americans pinned down on the sand now red with our heroes’ blood. Then, just a few hundred yards from where I’m standing, a breakthrough came. The battle turned, and with it, history.
Down on the beach, Captain Joe Dawson, the son of a Texas preacher, led Company G through a minefield to a natural fold in the hillside, still here. Just beyond this path to my right, Captain Dawson snuck beneath an enemy machine gun perch and tossed his grenades. Soon, American troops were charging up “Dawson’s Draw.” What a job he did. What bravery he showed.
Lieutenant Spalding and the men from Company E moved on to crush the enemy strongpoint on the far side of this cemetery, and stop the slaughter on the beach below. Countless more Americans poured out across this ground all over the countryside. They joined fellow American warriors from Utah beach, and Allies from Juno, Sword, and Gold, along with the airborne and the French patriots.
Private First Class Russell Pickett, of the 29th Division’s famed 116th Infantry Regiment, had been wounded in the first wave that landed on Omaha Beach. At a hospital in England, Private Pickett vowed to return to battle. “I’m going to return,” he said. “I’m going to return.”
Six days after D-Day, he rejoined his company. Two thirds had been killed already; many had been wounded, within 15 minutes of the invasion. They’d lost 19 just from small town of Bedford, Virginia, alone. Before long, a grenade left Private Pickett again gravely wounded. So badly wounded. Again, he chose to return. He didn’t care; he had to be here.
He was then wounded a third time, and laid unconscious for 12 days. They thought he was gone. They thought he had no chance. Russell Pickett is the last known survivor of the legendary Company A. And, today, believe it or not, he has returned once more to these shores to be with his comrades. Private Pickett, you honor us all with your presence.
By the fourth week of August, Paris was liberated. Some who landed here pushed all the way to the center of Germany. Some threw open the gates of Nazi concentration camps to liberate Jews who had suffered the bottomless horrors of the Holocaust. And some warriors fell on other fields of battle, returning to rest on this soil for eternity.
Before this place was consecrated to history, the land was owned by a French farmer, a member of the French resistance. These were great people. These were strong and tough people. His terrified wife waited out D-Day in a nearby house, holding tight to their little baby girl. The next day, a soldier appeared. “I’m an American,” he said. “I’m here to help.” The French woman was overcome with emotion and cried. Days later, she laid flowers on fresh American graves.
Today, her granddaughter, Stefanie, serves as a guide at this cemetery. This week, Stefanie led 92-year-old Marian Wynn of California to see the grave of her brother Don for the very first time.
Marian and Stefanie are both with us today. And we thank you for keeping alive the memories of our precious heroes. Thank you.
9,388 young Americans rest beneath the white crosses and Stars of David arrayed on these beautiful grounds. Each one has been adopted by a French family that thinks of him as their own. They come from all over France to look after our boys. They kneel. They cry. They pray. They place flowers. And they never forget. Today, America embraces the French people and thanks you for honoring our beloved dead. Thank you.
To all of our friends and partners: Our cherished alliance was forged in the heat of battle, tested in the trials of war, and proven in the blessings of peace. Our bond is unbreakable.
From across the Earth, Americans are drawn to this place as though it were a part of our very soul. We come not only because of what they did here. We come because of who they were.
They were young men with their entire lives before them. They were husbands who said goodbye to their young brides and took their duty as their fate. They were fathers who would never meet their infant sons and daughters because they had a job to do. And with God as their witness, they were going to get it done. They came wave after wave, without question, without hesitation, and without complaint.
More powerful than the strength of American arms was the strength of American hearts.
These men ran through the fires of hell moved by a force no weapon could destroy: the fierce patriotism of a free, proud, and sovereign people. They battled not for control and domination, but for liberty, democracy, and self-rule.
They pressed on for love in home and country — the Main Streets, the schoolyards, the churches and neighbors, the families and communities that gave us men such as these.
They were sustained by the confidence that America can do anything because we are a noble nation, with a virtuous people, praying to a righteous God.
The exceptional might came from a truly exceptional spirit. The abundance of courage came from an abundance of faith. The great deeds of an Army came from the great depths of their love.
As they confronted their fate, the Americans and the Allies placed themselves into the palm of God’s hand.
The men behind me will tell you that they are just the lucky ones. As one of them recently put it, “All the heroes are buried here.” But we know what these men did. We knew how brave they were. They came here and saved freedom, and then, they went home and showed us all what freedom is all about.
The American sons and daughters who saw us to victory were no less extraordinary in peace. They built families. They built industries. They built a national culture that inspired the entire world. In the decades that followed, America defeated communism, secured civil rights, revolutionized science, launched a man to the moon, and then kept on pushing to new frontiers. And, today, America is stronger than ever before.
Seven decades ago, the warriors of D-Day fought a sinister enemy who spoke of a thousand-year empire. In defeating that evil, they left a legacy that will last not only for a thousand years, but for all time — for as long as the soul knows of duty and honor; for as long as freedom keeps its hold on the human heart.
To the men who sit behind me, and to the boys who rest in the field before me, your example will never, ever grow old. Your legend will never tire. Your spirit — brave, unyielding, and true — will never die.
The blood that they spilled, the tears that they shed, the lives that they gave, the sacrifice that they made, did not just win a battle. It did not just win a war. Those who fought here won a future for our nation. They won the survival of our civilization. And they showed us the way to love, cherish, and defend our way of life for many centuries to come.
Today, as we stand together upon this sacred Earth, we pledge that our nations will forever be strong and united. We will forever be together. Our people will forever be bold. Our hearts will forever be loyal. And our children, and their children, will forever and always be free.
May God bless our great veterans. May God bless our Allies. May God bless the heroes of D-Day. And may God bless America.”

It is my habit, at the Memorial Day parade I always attend, to RESCUE and BRING HOME those tiny, cheap American flags that get dropped on the ground for one reason or another. Sometimes broken, sometimes forgotten, sometimes dropped by a baby or stolen by a happy dog. It doesn’t matter why. I pick them up, bring them home, and THOSE FLAGS take the place of honor as my most important flags for the coming year.
If you think that’s a message, then I hope you read this post. Treat any imperfections as the ones found in Navajo rugs – proof of authenticity, and recognition of the Creator.

When I was a young boy my father, who was an aviation enthusiast, would take me to airshows, and he passed his passion on to me. As far back as I can remember I have loved ANYTHING to do with flight. I would spend hours and days gluing together Revell model airplanes that I bought with money I made mowing lawns and doing chores, painstakingly painting them as accurately as I could using pictures from magazines and books, then hang them from the ceiling in my bedroom. At night after I went to bed, I would stare up at them and imagine myself being one of the pilots of these awesome machines.
Back in those days, the new heros of flight were the Mercury and Apollo astronauts…but they themselves came from the ranks of men who willingly strapped themselves into several tons of finely machined metal and dared to challenge the harsh and unforgiving ethers above the earth.
For me, both then and now, this was where GIANTS tread.
Men of such courage, ability, fortitude, and character that today their feats are FAR too many to list here, their accomplishments and sacrifices SO IMPOSSIBLY GREAT…so well known….worldwide….that even a shmuck like me is granted some of the respect THEY earned…..simply because I, too, am a pilot.
Bullshit. I am not even a pimple, ON A pimple, on such men’s behinds. Reread that.
It is not an exaggeration to say that most of today’s federal aviation regulations are written in blood. Hard lessons learned and iron-clad rules set in place from tragic circumstances that cost people their lives….and most of those came from the blood of military pilots and test pilots. For one thing, you must remember that for most of avaiation history aircraft design was done BY HAND…there were no computer models/modeling to test equipment before it was tried out for the first time in actual flight….all too often at the cost of a courageous man’s life. Back in those days, HALF of all US test pilots lost their lives. 50% of them!
Then, too, there were the combat pilots…especially those of the 40’s through the 60’s. This was the time when piston-driven aircraft had reached the limit of that kind’s performance, followed by the subsequent birth of turbine engines (jets) that would rocket man beyond the speed of sound. Try as I might, I cannot possibly convey to you how dangerous and challenging these times were for the young men who had the fortitude, courage and ability to face the odds and learn how to push the edge of a high performance aircraft’s envelope…to do that IN COMBAT…and try to survive.
However, there is one statistic that might give you some idea, some inkling, of how dangerous it was in those days.
Think of all the kinds of combat taking place in WWII. Sailors, marines, army. Submarines, for example, where one small breach of the hull at depth would send the vessel and all aboard into the crushing pressure of the deep. Or how about soldiers and marines in landing craft, daring to land on a beach while facing a hail of enemy gun fire and artillery as they rushed through the open to try and find some kind of cover and survive. Brave, courageous men….all of them!
That said, of all the different types of armed combat during WWII, which one was the most dangerous for the US serviceman….the one with the greatest casualties out of them all?
Was it the virtually fearless US marines landing on islands across the pacific, facing the fanatical Japanese? How about our troops going up against the Nazis in places like Bastogne? Or the aforementioned submariner forces in the Atlantic and Pacific?
Nope.
The single most dangerous combat job during WWII was to be a crew member of the US 8th Army Air Corps…the Mighty 8th…flying daylight combat missions over occupied Europe. Of ALL combat units of ALL types and service branches during WWII, the Mighty 8th suffered the highest casualty rates of the entire war.
In fact, it was SO bad…so incredibly dangerous….so UNLIKELY for someone to survive….that the US high command instituted….for the very first (but not the last) time….a maximum number of combat missions to be flown before a crew member was deemed to have fulfilled his wartime service obligation and get sent home.
The magic number? 25 combat missions.
Just 25.
Sounds easy, eh? Well, statistically speaking, every single person who stepped into an Mighty 8th airplane and flew combat missions over occupied Europe would get killed by the 13th mission, if not sooner. So they took that number and doubled it to 25, with the belief that if you could survive 25 missions, you earned the right to be honorably discharged and sent home.
And just to drive the point home…no other military occupation across all branches of service was afforded this priviledge. They called it “The Mighty 8th”, but in reality it was the Bloody 8th.
WATCH….
At 25,000 feet….5 miles above the earth….the altitude most World War II bomber missions were flown….air temperature ranges from -30° to -45°F. Modern aircraft have sealed cabins and heaters to protect pilots and passengers from wind blast and cold air. Not the crews of WWII. Pressurized cabins hadn’t been invented yet, and it wasn’t until the development of the B-29 (of “Enola Gay” fame) that bombers had such a luxury.
If the enemy fire and flak didn’t get you, the lack of oxygen and/or cold air could….and all too often did.
Have a look at this chart…these guys were regularly flying in the dark blue and purple parts at the right side. Note the amount of time it takes for exposed flesh to suffer frostbite.
Moreover, where can you take cover in a thin aluminum skinned aircraft? A: you couldn’t.
These planes had no armor…THAT was too heavy…and that weight was needed for the bombs and defensive machine guns. There were no foxholes or brick walls or trees to hide behind. No, you were stuck there, with your proverbial ass hanging out in the breeze, hoping it didn’t get shot off…that you could make your 25 missions in one piece and go home.
Here…have a look…this is not too far off from what it was like. See if you can count ALL the dangers present in this short clip…
Mind shattering.
My point is simply this.
This weekend we historically honor those who have lost their lives in service to our country. And I wanted to give you a taste of the dangers some of them faced and all too often fell prey to.
They did it for us, the next generations to come. They did it because they loved America, for the deepest and most cherished hopes they had for this country, and all this country has historically stood for.
It is for such heros….who fought and died to establish, protect, and grow our nation…that we honor and remember their sacrifices this weekend.
And some do it every day, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Today, some of America’s finest young warriors have emerged to carry forward the legacy of the men and women who came before them. And they have put their creed into word and sealed it with their own blood, spilled often and only rarely known by us.
This is their sacred code….written with the sacrifices of all those who came before them firmly in mind….
This weekend is a weekend of the fiercest PRIDE…
….of the most breathtaking AWE….
….of inexpressible GRATITUDE…
…..and undying APPRECIATION…
…..for all those who have ever fought and died to establish, protect and defend our great nation. The greatest nation the world has ever known.
To be an American is nothing less than knowing that, regardless of your personal circumstances, we are among the Lord God Almighty’s most highly favored children. And this is NOT our “right”. No. It is a terrible privilege of the most profound kind.

Two important articles out by the Washington Examiner make it clear that inside members of the “small group” behind the “Big Ugly” are now terrified. So much so that they are now trying to get out “in front” of what they know is coming….indictments and perp walks.

Baker was appointed FBI general counsel in January 2014 and reassigned by FBI Director Christopher Wray in December 2017. Last year, it was reported that Baker was resigning, and since has been employed by Benjamin’s Wittes’ Lawfare blog and joined the R Street Institute.

Horowitz’s investigation is particularly focused on alleged FISA abuse and the reliance on British ex-spy Christopher Steele in FISA applications targeting Trump campaign associate Carter Page. Steele’s dossier was funded in part by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign through the Perkins Coie law firm and the opposition research group Fusion GPS. The investigation is expected to finish in May or June.
Wittes said that Baker “had expressed great confidence in the way you guys conducted yourselves, in the integrity of these fundamental judgments, in the opening with respect to two separate investigations and with the respect to the handling of this FISA application.” Wittes then asked Baker: “So, how nervous are you about the IG?”
Baker said he is “always nervous about the IG,” adding that “they’re coming in after the fact to look at what we did.” At the time, he said, the FBI was “trying to do it in real time and having the pressure to deal with these threats as they were coming.”
Baker contended that he was “confident in the judgments that I made at the time based on the information that I had available to me.” But he left open the possibility that others may have engaged in wrongdoing, saying, “I’m sure they will find things that I didn’t know at the time and maybe that others didn’t know at the time.”
“There were facts that existed in the Bureau that were known by certain people that weren’t known by others including me, that’s certainly possible and that happens frequently,” Baker said. “And so, I’m assuming that they will dig and find stuff like that.”
Baker said the FBI was careful in the way it used Steele’s reporting. “We have an obligation to take that information seriously and to be highly skeptical … You go to work … You try to validate it … We don’t just swallow it hook, line, and sinker. … We spent a lot of time trying to vet that information line by line,” he said.
“We are the Federal Bureau of Investigations, not the Federal Bureau of Conclusions,” Baker said defensively.
Baker mentioned that he’s faced investigations before. “I’ve been investigated — or matters that I’ve worked on have been investigated — many times by the Inspector General. It’s not a pleasant process. It’s just not. The people are pleasant but the process is not the most enjoyable,” he said.
Baker may have been referring to an alleged criminal leaks investigation that had been opened on him, which had been reported on as early as December 2017. He confirmed the existence of an investigation but declined to provide many specifics, saying, “Yes there is an investigation with respect to matters in which I was involved that is still open that I have cooperated fully with. I met with the investigative team for many hours over many days. That took place about a year and a half ago.”
“I haven’t heard anything since then … other than to hear from the Department that the matter is still open.” Baker said. “I am confident that I did nothing wrong and nothing illegal.”
As the event ended, Baker summed up his thoughts on all of these investigations. “Hindsight is 20/20,” he remarked.

And then Monday the BEA came out with consumer spending results for the first quarter that defy expectations. Consumer spending on goods increases 1.7%. Overall spending +.09 in March, reaches highest gain in ten years. Meanwhile core inflation drops to 1.6%.
Guess what? The pundits are shocked. SHOCKED, I say!
Now, leftists are scared….truly scared….because nothing spells S-E-C-O-N-D T-E-R-M like a roaring economy. Hey, even CNN agrees…check this out…
Now, if you talk with them (and I do) the precious snowflakes love to describe this economy…and it’s attendant stock market….as a “sugar high” that is quickly going to sour. To which I say…Ha! Kinda like all their other failed predictions, right? Remember how the stock market was supposed to crash right after the election because OrangeManBad? And let’s not forget that, according to them, the polar caps should have melted by now and we’re all supposed to be under water!
In other news, on the very same day that an unhinged leftist wacko shot up a synagogue in Poway, California, the good folks that run that flagship of liberal propaganda…the NY Slimes…decided that this week would be a great time to inform the world that not only do they hate PDJT, but also Jewish people, too. The excellent watchdogs at Judicial Watch released over 300 pages of emails from Nellie Ohr, proving she was far more involved with the creation of the “Muh Russia” coup attempt than anyone thought. These emails also prove she purjured herself giving Congressional testimony, so guess what??
Wednesday was also a YUGELY interesting day as AG Barr testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee chaired by Sen. Lindsey Graham. This was his first appearance before Congress since the release of the Mueller Report and the AG’s summary of it. During the AG’s 5 hour testimony, the democrats established their new narrative post-Mueller report…to wit, that AG Barr is corrupt, is acting as POTUS’ personal lawyer, and is a liar…..the messaging of which was inarguably closely coordinated with their media allies. Believe me when I say the left is well aware of all that we already know re: the Obama administration’s corruption and Spygate.
