But not all of them.
There are abandoned school buildings all over the country.
This could be one of the reasons why Dems have done such an about face on illegal aliens.

To make up for the loss of all those aborted children that never got the chance to go to school.

Hmmmm. Let’s fill the homes, the ranches, the farms…and keep the children home, educated by their parents. Thus saith the “pioneer” mother of those who were educated from home…yes, through “high school.”
This is a choice, of course, but read the history of “public” education: the Cabal at work. We were never given children in order to relinquish them to others for educating. Want them to become competent adults? Raise them in the presence of such, rather then incubating them in pots of peers.

Some people are unable to do it, though, for various reasons.
That is why there is room for both tracks.
Roberta–I raised 3–pulled them out of Catholic School and put them in a ‘tiny Catholic school–glorified home school”– 6-8 kids in each class.. they learned Latin and Faith and Manners beyond what I could teach them..I taught the Kindergarten! (SO stinking much fun!)
My Sis has 6! She home schools/ed them all!!! Through High school as well!! She is my hero!! but honestly–I would have probably sucked at this job.

There are competing theories to the advent of public education as simply being a cabal, factory operation. One was to have a counter to parochial schools which were popping up as the immigrant communities built them in the latter part of the 19th century. But another one, and this is interesting even if it is not exactly true, it was partially to have a place to put kids who were enterprising as youths and were in business competition with adults. It’s been years now, but I read something about newsboys and the resentment that they brought about. I doubt that’s the only reason, but business sense is business sense, and those who have it will succeed and drive out competition.
I read extensively as I prepped to keep my babies home. Somewhere in the archives are the books, including histories regarding John Dewey.

Looks like a viable building to me…like it would still be in use, if there were students to fill it.
In many communities these buildings are rented out by the board owners to others…other school models (think “faith based,” and other private schools), community centers, etc. And then they become public schools again as the demographics of the communities change.
They turned my old high school into condos. It was a donation from the steel guy Andrew Carnegie built in 1898. Both Timothy Leary (of Beatles song fame) and Dr. Suess, cat in the hat fame) wandered those halls before I got there.

I visit lots of school districts for inspections. In smaller communities they typically are the largest employer. When they build new schools there is typically no buyer for their older facilities. So they either end up using them in a limited capacity or they get abandonded because they cannot afford to maintain them. But most of these pics really mean brand new schools were built to support a growing population. Lots of illegal kids. And of course with bathrooms labeled, All Gender.
You’re right about the aborted children and the empty classrooms and schools. School enrollment has been steadily decreasing, even from stable economic areas. Been happening for at least 2 decades.
By being rabid abortion supporters, the Democrat Teacher’s unions are putting themselves out of a job.

Our house is next door to the school. When we bought our house, it had been abandoned for 23yrs. The little girl who lived next door to me at the time, cried and cried when she learned I was moving into this house. A whole generation of school children thought the house was haunted. She thought I would surely die.
Many thought I was crazy to want a home next door to a school. Are you kidding? No car pools. Throw your kids over the fence. Preferred hang out for your own kids. Great meeting spot. The fact that our house was next to the school was half the reason I wanted to buy it.
Two of my girlfriends were the #2 and #3 in charge of our school district.
We had a 3 1/2 car three sided garage, which we enclosed and blew up to put a suite above it and a game room below. My two friends would pile up in that game room, smoke cigarettes, drink scotch, and write grants for the school. Writing the grants became a group effort as we pulled in other friends for expertise. We brought home millions of dollars.
Schools require unlimited attention and a bottomless pit of money.
Have to have families that care.
A community naturally centers around a school.
And yes, the unions and bad leadership have been horrible to that end.

where I used to live they took 2 of these abandoned school buildings and turned them into assisted living facilities. they are really nice–centrally located.
I used to live next to a school and they ripped the school douwn. Now there is a doctor office on the space. The loss of school changed demographic of neighborhood.
I taught my children montassori in the home. I barely spoke English but did it. When my kids got to Kindergarden all could read knew math and had organizing skills.
The kids became high achievers in school and I learnend reading with them. They corrected me if I did not pronounce properly. They are also byligual.
I taught them also every day living skills, cooking, sowing on buttons, ironing cleaning and love for gardening. My boys are the cooks in their house. They love gardening also. My daughter is an excellent cook and knitter.
We have to pas on what we learned concerning life skills that is the job as parent or grandparent.
We also need to be story teller and tell our story overcoming adversity.
Just looking at some of the photos, those are city schools. It’s also a testament to the flight to the suburbs. That’s what happened here.
In addition to schools, the imploding birth rate effected the number of clergy and lay religious. Bigger families tend to produce at least one person destined to religious life even if we do have our fair share of only children who ended up priests.
One of those schools is in Wyoming…the golden one, 3rd down from top.
Probably a ‘county school’ where kids came for miles to attend.
The top one is in a Texas small town.
Some of the abandoned schools around the country are a result of urban flight…but not all.
I said SOME were from the cities. At least two look enough like the William Itner schools in the city here, it was a dead give away.

Another serious reason to stay out of Mexico. It seems as if a “fight” is instigated in order to insure a visit to the hospital for organ harvesting.
Unfortunately it makes one wonder if there is not a parallel system here in this country. Graph in this country is much more sophisticated due to numerous laws but the criminal element usually finds a way around the laws so as not to b detected especially when the pay out is great enough. Example might be cash strapped hospitals. Another reason to think twice about putting organ donor down on your driver licence.

You could say the “tan” made us “bark” after that 🙂 Barely avoided having our hides tanned… No wonder they don’t have those kind of playgrounds anymore. Then again, no risk, no fun; and no creativity or innovation, either.
We didn’t want helicopter parents; we wanted parents who were there when we needed them (sometimes after our “adventures”), but who gave us room to grow, and occasionally, to attempt to fly…
My Dad, born in the early 1920s, lost two older siblings to an epidemic, so his mother was always extra careful with him, “don’t do this, you might get hurt, don’t do that, it could get you killed, etc.). She was understandably worried about the prospect of losing a third child.
Nevertheless, my Dad worked around these restrictions 🙂 and legend has it that he once rode his bicycle BACKWARDS, DOWNHILL, on a SNOWY, ICY day. And it was quite a steep hill. And he lived to tell about it. Much later he walked off a roof while picking cherries off a tree that overlooked it. Landed in the freshly-dug dirt underneath it, accompanied by just a few scrapes and scratches, a somewhat bruised ego, and some nervous laughter. “Need a warning track on that roof”…
Hmmm. No idea where I got my sense of adventure from. And my mom was equally one to advise me not to take the risks she had, growing up in England. “Hmmm. Does 240VAC make bigger sparks than this?”
Found that out later, by mistake… fortunately I wasn’t functioning as circuit ground in that situation…

If you can get hold of some elderberry syrup, take a tablespoon twice or three times a day. It is GREAT for colds and flu, natural, and will boost your immune system. Most health food stores or Whole Foods will have it.

We have 2 cats and my wife brought home the sweetest puppy last summer, it’s fun to watch them interact. The cats don’t think he’s the sweetest but he is.
I’ll have to figure out how to post pictures. He’s beautiful, green eyes, pure white fur with orange markings on his face and ears and the faintest of spots. Turns out he’s 35% Red heeler, 27% Amstaff and 17% Great Pyrenees and 100% clown. I take him to work, chain him to the rig and he’s a great companion and watches my back, nobody’s gonna sneak up on me when I’m drilling. Guess I like bragging about him (our cats are awesome too 😬)

Mixed breed dogs are usually so much smarter than pure breeds…and have great personalities.
I hope your kitties are nice to him!
I like Cats, a lot, and have had lots of them over the years.
And they can be affectionate at times.

Here’s an idea for restaurants and establishments everywhere. Disallow ALL men’s hats regardless of political or sports affiliation, and make an effort to put the guys back on the path to gentlemanly behavior.
Caps and hats at the dinner table or in a dining room drive me insane.

While I hate non-apology apologies, “I am sorry for my recklessness” is actually pretty close to a sincere expression of remorse.
I am going to sound like a neanderthal here, but actually think this type of behavior arises because we now live with millions of people who have not learned when a violent response is appropriate. There was a time when a person would not reasonably expect restraint from another person when threatening to get physical with them because of a hat they wore (and yes physically removing someone from a building is threatening to get physical). Indeed, a threat to get physical was usually met with a physical response. And neither the police nor the legal system was going to come to your rescue if you instigated something without a good reason.
This expectancy often resulted in folks thinking more carefully about when to physically confront another person. And on the other side of things, good manners combined with the desire to avoid constantly being engaged in fights usually engendered restraint in terms of insulting behavior.
Now, even when acting in a way reasonable people would not consider insulting, ordinary people may be confronted with bile, hatred, threats and even violence.
I think this restaurant owner did not learn in his youth that when you threaten to get physical with someone you should expect a response in kind, and this is why he felt free to get physical in response to such a minor provocation. As a child he learned that mommy or a teacher would step in to protect him, and he continues to expect this protection in adult life.
I recall being called by my son’s school because he had gotten into a fight. “Is my son ok? What happened?” “There was a fight and we cannot condone that. He is not hurt.” “Yes, I understand you don’t condone fighting, but why was there a fight?” “We expect our students to find other ways to resolve their differences.” “Do you know what happened?” “We need you to teach your child not to be violent.” “I will speak to him.”
Well, it turns out that one of the druggies in my son’s school was picking on a student with a stutter, and my son told him to knock it off. He persisted, so my son became more persuasive.
So I told him. “Well done. Oh and the school doesn’t like it when you fight.”

A meteorite touched down in Cuba around 1:15 p.m. on Friday, according to reports.
The National Weather Service in Key West, Florida, says it received reports that a meteor was seen in the sky across the Florida Keys and that it crashed in Western Cuba.
The meteorite ripped through the sky before exploding and raining debris on homes in Cuba, according to The Sun.

Residents reported hearing two blasts as it broke a part and left a trail of smoke in the air.
A local newspaper reported a “fireball” was seen as walls shook and wonders were shattered.
The meteorite reportedly fell in the area of the “mural de la prehistoria”, or a huge rock painting of dinosaurs – which were themselves wiped out by meteors.
Images show the black and white rocks are roughly the size of a smart phone or of the palm of someone’s hand.
The National Weather Service in Key West, Florida reported that a meteor was seen over the sky in the Sunshine State.
They tweeted: “It appears that a meteorite impact occurred in western Cuba, near the town of Vinales, Pinar del Rio, earlier this afternoon.”
Researchers said a satellite that covers the western hemisphere detected an apparent meteor flash.
Dagoberto Valdés, director of the Coexistence Studies Center, based in the provincial capital told local news outlet El Nuevo Herald: “About 1:15 p.m. we felt a big bang and we went out into the street.
“Since then, people have not stopped asking questions but we have not heard any official information about what happened.”
There have been no reports of injuries.

Plus, they take HUGE cuts of the profits.

I believe most public schools in the US use Pearson textbooks, which are even worse. From 2013:

For the last quote, this means that books are ALSO the most important weapon to COUNTER propaganda.
I am an “aspiring” author; I believe that the subject / content of my prospective book is a powerful “counter”, and so, the stranglehold would catch me (no publish / shelve; impossible “terms”; against the cabal’s agenda).
I’ve been very reticent about hooking up with a comped publisher. And in they case they ALL are, even MOAR caution is warranted, IMO.
I’m looking into other options, a few of them WAY off the beaten path. I suspect one of them will be the way I choose to go.
Can’t have truth, when relying on the cabal! My book is about truth. I mustn’t use them, in any way at all.

Emeraldstar, I know nothing about publishing but the way St8ble Genius laid it out was so interesting. She has way more available brain cells than me and when I started digging further, “enmeshment’ came to mind as i followed the intertwining of entities, subsidiaries, imprints (had never heard that term) and distribution channels. Some appeared circular so that you would not be able to even determine all who are involved besides the CIA funding through publishing houses so some authors have no knowledge of that back channel.
Just know your words were given by God and the perfect path to publish will be provided by Him and you will know it when it comes to you! 😉

Last week, there was a conversation on RMC (talk radio), and the discussion centred around this: ‘If there are so many national newspapers and magazines, why do we only get one point of view? The Right says the same as the Left and vice versa. Something’s wrong with this picture.’
The same goes with books and, last year, the French newsweekly magazine, Marianne, recommended self publishing or going with a reliable independent online publisher. They, too, complain that a handful of mega-millionaire publishers control the whole stable of printed publications.

Seeing this has to agree. Very possible a tragedy of epic proportions. Sad. At least their side of the story that casts doubt on what may of actually happened has been brought to light.

I also think there’s something not right about the case. I have read that police say they had made two undercover drug buys at that home before the raid. So if that’s true, they must have had pretty good evidence. Also the fact that neighbors had been complaining about the activity there — which conflicts with reports that they lived quietly and had few visitors. It doesn’t all add up.
Another thing that does not add up is a drug dealer who would come out shooting when they didn’t have any stash at the house. No black tar heroin found.

If this couple were dealing drugs, it’s unlikely their neighbours would mourn their loss. In reality, their neighbours really valued the couple as friends. I wonder how much of that made local news?
