Okay, so here’s the deal. This is the open thread. This is where we all come to get the news that other Q tree inhabitants think is worth knowing and sharing. Please, post links to any “news” stories quoted, and ask for help if you are stumped as to how to do that. We’re a friendly lot. Someone will be with you shortly, and there is no reason to have to press one for English.
Free speech, and the open exchange and hashing out of ideas is not only allowed, but encouraged. If we all don’t use it, we’re going to lose it. There are, however, limits to civility, and those limits are strictly observed here. We are all on the same team. No personal threats, baiting, name calling and other behavior your mother and grandmother told you not to do while calling you by your full name is allowed. This, seriously, could happen.
There is absolutely no reason for infighting to result in burning down the tree, house up in the branches and all. Yes, it can be rough to temper speech. However, those who would like to slog it out from the comfort of the seat behind your keyboard, Wolf has provided a venue known as the UTree. Please, take it there.
And now for some house keeping:
There are a few rules here in the branches of the Q Tree. Our host, Wolfm00n, outlined them in a post on New Years Day 2019. Please, review these rules from time to time. When the gaps between the floats at the Rose Bowl Parade get bigger would be alright.
Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:
- No food fights.
- No running with scissors.
- If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.
Steve suggests – to be accurate – no shooting at the nuclear weapons, but to be safe about it, don’t event point firearms toward them. I, Deplorable Patriot, bossy chick that I am, request no teasing the animals, pets and wildlife alike. FG&C asks that you wash your hands and take some vitamin C. Daughn suggests you whip the sugar with the shortning (butter) before adding the flour.
Teasing and trolling the lefties and their bastions, on the other hand is a moral imperative.

Shokin’s witness statement was submitted to the court as part of Joel Caplan’s motion this week to try and become a party in Roberts’ paternity case with Biden.
He claimed in Monday’s filing that he wanted in on the case so he could get his hands on Biden’s bank account records in order to prove he allegedly received $1.5 billion from Chinese companies that ‘hustled Americans out of their life savings’.
Caplan told Judge Don McSpadden to ‘follow the money’ and in a 30-page filing, lays out how he was allegedly swindled out of 10 years of his life savings in a ‘multi-billion dollar stock scheme known as the China Hustle.’
Caplan, who filed papers from Jerusalem, Israel, claims many Chinese nationals made fortunes from the ploy, which involved presenting fake company documents and claiming they were genuine investments when they were actual frauds.

St. Charles County. No kidding. Where people won’t live on the other side of the Missouri River because of crime. And the police are stealing from them.
Yet another story that tells me all is not what it’s reported to be out there.
And, honestly, I don’t know anyone who has been pulled over for not driving on the right side of the road. On this side of the Missouri River, you don’t because of the number of exits, especially when they are on the left side of the highway.
Colorado is bad in this respect…but I’ve seen much, much worse in Missouri, like a line of cars in the left lane piled up behind some slowpoke…with the right lane wide open.
Why no one just passes the schmuck is beyond me, unless Missouri puts people in jail for passing on the right.
Colorado used to have signs that read “Slower Traffic Keep Right” but then, with much fanfare, began to replace them with “Keep Right Except To Pass” which was, at least, more direct and to the point than the preceding (many people would justify staying in the left lane as long as they were doing the speed limit with the old signs). I may even have seen a trucker get pulled over for violating the second sign once; I passed him on the right doing the speed limit while he was ten under, and HE got pulled over.

I’d have to look next time I’m on the road to Columbia, Jeff City or somewhere past St. Chuck, but I don’t remember seeing signs like that.
Of course, it’s been a while since I’ve driven out there. In the STL region, like I said, you drive according to the exits. I mean coming west from Illinois over one specific bridge, you have to be in the left lane or you end up in the middle of downtown or on I-44.

Having events in their parks, you have to have health department sign offs. Nobody else around here does that. And then they start complaining when those bridges that EVERYBODY pays for and they abuse fatigue faster than the replacements are scheduled to be built. And, of course, we can’t extend the mass transit system out there with commuter lots because, well, people from North County and city are going to take it – with surveillance cameras EVERYWHERE – out there to rob them. If it doesn’t happen on this side of that river where people have a lot more money, what makes them think it’s going to happen on that side.

This happened to my Dad in upstate New York in the late 1960s. He was almost home and changed lanes without signalling. They hauled him 90 miles back to Syracuse BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF HIM,tossed him in jail and DISMANTLED his car. They found NOTHING!
Mom took him to the doctor when he finally got to call her to take him home. The doctor was livid and photographed his injuries. BUT they could find NO LAWYER willing to take the case. Luckily the car was a company car so my parents did not have to eat the cost of the distruction of a BRAND NEW CAR.
Realize my Dad was 63 at the time and did not even have a traffic ticket to his name. He never swore and hardly ever drank. So when these Asshats complain about the Police ‘targeting’ blacks I LAUGH IN THEIR FACES. Dad was blond and blue eyed.

I remember the state GOP apparatus trying to “make room” for the Tea Party in 2010, only to reject social conservatives in favor of “economic conservatism” thinking it would be a bigger unifying platform that could allow the conservatives and libertarians to have common cause. Well, it worked, and they scuttled the social conservative agenda entirely and worked ineffectively against the left. And guess what? The “economic conservatives” were able to find a common cause – with the Neo-liberal left including the Clintons! The radical left loves to criticize HRC’s economic record of being too in bed with Wall Street interests like Goldman Sachs. But it is astonishing the degree to which the Tea Party movement was subverted by the party apparatus time and time again.
Now it is much clearer to everyone that the “economic conservatives” were not “conservative” at all but selling out the interests of Americans at every opportunity – it was just a cynical power game that blunted all the force and impact of conservatism while enriching the establishment ruling class.
But for years all the economic orthodoxy from every quarter and every side was “free trade”. No conservative, NONE, could talk about economic policy without talking free trade. Granted that there were a number of really good economic analysis coming out during that time – in so far as they contrasted with the radical socialist policies of the Obama Administration, they focused on the fundamentals. But they certainly had NIL understanding of trade – yet simultaneously everyone knew there was something deeply wrong and broken with our internal trade particularly with China.
Meanwhile the social conservative issues CONTINUE to get the short shift by an establishment that cares nothing about the moral character of the nation, without which the nation not only cannot thrive but will not survive. The establishment, like the Whigs of old, is not explicitly secularist, but they are still secular. The Democrats were the pro-slavery party and the Whigs were the “we won’t take a stand on slavery” party. Today’s GOP are the Whigs all over again. If it were up to me the GOP as it exists now would be completely swept away replaced by a party like the Old Republican Party that actually understood that our nation rises or falls on the moral character of her people.
Since Old Testament times – ‘social’ ‘liberalism’ has failed every time – and brought about GOD’s displeasure, loss of security, attacks by pagans, captivity, and many other woes.

So, if I read this correctly we are both correct.
There is a Free Mason group who are highly ethical Christian people and within that group is a Cabal of nasty SOBs. Sort of like Skull & Bones, is an undergraduate student society at Yale University.
Actually when we look at our entire society we see the same pattern. A small evil cliche in each group… Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Catholic Church, Lutheran Church, American Chemical Society, Organic Consumers… These people then work to grab the reins of power and subvert the entire group.

Anyone who understands even basic Freemasonry, is confronted with their adherence to “universalism”—that all religious books of all faiths are welcomed on the altar of Freemasonry AS TRUTH.
The York Rite is supposedly the Judeo-Christian leg of Freemasonry (a very loose Christian theology, just enough to deceive!). Most the Masons I know who are concerned about the appearance of their Christian faith, belong to both the Scottish and York Rite.
Jesus Christ said—“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6). His meaning is very clear and very exclusive—He does not include Mohammad (Allah), Buddha, Confucius, Hinduism, et al. Only One Way…One Truth!
Masonry/the Shrine is all about “good works”—it is in essence a religion of good works (a humanitarian group).

He wrote at least fifty symphonies. At some point, someone (not Mozart) numbered them, 1-41, but people kept buying antique furniture, opening a drawer, and finding Yet Another Mozart Symphony (meanwhile it turned out that #2, #3, and #37 were not actually by Mozart), and for a while these were given numbers, too, at least up to 50. We’re pretty confident he wrote none after #41, but have no idea how many he wrote early in his career.
He wrote his first one when he was eight. The description given in the story of him writing it doesn’t match up with the symphony currently numbered as #1.
I grew up on his symphonies. I can’t see the number and necessarily know what it will be, but I knew that when I hit “play” I’d recognize it instantly, and this is one of my favorites from his early symphonies.

Hope you will continue through time to favor us with some of your favorites. I grew up on classical music, but not on anyone composer in particular, and have no special knowledge of Mozart… I do so enjoy his music.
I’ve diversified, lately.
I can’t quite get into Haydn; he sounds to me like Mozart on a relatively lackluster day. And it seems like the only Bach I like are the truly famous pieces of his…when I go looking for an obscure piece to broaden my horizon, I end up knowing why it was obscure. But I’ve pursued Chaikovskiy (The only reason the T is there and the Y isn’t ,in most people’s spelling is some non-English speaker transliterated his name) Dvorak and others. My parents never listened to Dvorak.
About the most “modern” orchestral music I like is Holst (The Planets), the Carmina Burana, and Rachmaninov (those are all 20th century); a lot of the rest just seems to be aimless, wandering, tuneless junk.
We call Haydn “Mozart Lite”.

I share your’lack of enthusiasm for Bach. I sang 2nd soprano for his B minor Mass, which was, IMO, the best of his I’ve sung.
Carmina…it has it’s moments. One of my “scrapbook performances” was a 4th performance in a long weekend that was just almost perfect. Too bad it’s all pagan. 🙄
I forgot to mention Beethoven. I like him quite a bit.
Carmina has maybe five (out of the twenty four distinct) movements I like.
I guess having sung Carmina a number of times…you get to the Queen of England, and you know you’re just about there. My preference is the spring section and the tavern scene not the least because the ladies got to sit through two movements of the latter.
The last two (Ave Formosisima and O Fortuna) seem like they go together very well, for some reason, maybe it’s the crescendo at the end of the former.
The idea with O Fortuna is that at first, you’re full of energy and it’s a new year, etc., and you sing it at the end again when you’ve been through the wheel of fortune once, and you’re exhausted. I can’t say what that’s like from an audience perspective, but there’s a reason the percussion calls for more tamtam crashes. Really, by the time you get to that final timpani roll, you’re ready to stop.
Well, I lose that effect by oftentimes just jumping into the last 2, 3, or 4 tracks on the CD.
I can see where that would happen.
Granted, it’s less tiring to be in the audience.

Which just reminded me of my retort to “modern” music that is virtuosic (so the performers love the challenge) but can’t be listened to:

Well, now, not everybody is a space and aviation nut. We wore out tapes of it, but my dad is an aerospece engineer and I have three younger brothers, plus we lived at Pax River for a while. It’s in the blood, same as you.
Now that I’m actually reading this as it flows as a conversation, Mozart is unmistakable when listening. The use of half step descending lines, and specific chord motifs are uniquely his. Beethoven, Verdi and Puccini, just to name a few, have similar signatures. You get to know them after a while.
The thing about Mozart is that he knew instinctively how to write for every instrument, including voice. All vocalists use him for therapy at one point or another. Honestly, you ask singers what their favorite opera is, and the answer a lot of times is Le Nozze di Figaro, or the Marriage of Figaro which is funny, and has some of the best music ever written in it.
The more I study, the more I wish Mozart had not abandoned the Church the way he did for the lodge. His composition is just more satisfying than so many others.

I notice the representative from NY (Presley?) has seemingly stepped back and isn’t photographed very often with the other three. Must be smarter than they are and see the hole they keep digging for themselves. But, what I want to know…what is happening to the ethical campaign violations, etc? Will they just fade away with no accountability like most seem to do?
Hopefully there will be accountability. If not with this House, then hopefully the next – and there’s always the DOJ, as long as the Civil Rights Division doesn’t free them “because color”.

I have seen an issue arise on the Q Tree that I did not want to get pulled into (nothing bad!)—concluding to each their own, just let it be. But on the other hand, I knew there would be people here perhaps struggling with this issue and their world view—the Bible believing followers of the Way (of Jesus Christ).
The issue would be the UFO/ extra-terrestrial, aliens from another system discussion. (FYI—I watched the show, Ancient Aliens, for 3 years to gather insight into their arguments and reasoning, and whatever proofs they sought to offer. Kurt’s book and released government stuff, whatever.)
I am a true believer in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, the Son of Man and the Son of God—that through Him all things were created. Yes, my world view, and not here to push it on anybody! “All things were made through Him [Jesus Christ], and without Him nothing was made that was made …He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.” (John 1:3; 10—11; NKJV, all ref.; all italicized bracket content mine).
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Gen. 1:1). The Word, Jesus Christ Himself, came as a Man to His own creation—“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…” (Jn. 1:14a). “In the beginning [before the act of Gen. 1:1] was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.” (Jn. 1:1–2).

Therefore, from the viewpoint of Scripture, if something comes from the heavens, God through Jesus Christ created it—and if something comes from the earth, God through Jesus Christ created it. “For by Him [Jesus Christ] all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” (Col. 1:16—17).
Scripture says “all things,” whether in heaven or on earth. It does not say “all things except extra-terrestrials and UFO’s.” Let me be clear—I am not downing a person if they believe in ancient aliens and UFO’s—I am merely trying to provide some context for those who believe in Jesus Christ and the Holy Scriptures!
The apostle Paul writes—“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Eph. 6:12). Thus—principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness, and spiritual hosts all belong to the heavenly places and not the flesh and blood terrestrial earth. Compare this verse to what Paul writes in Colossians 1:16 above.
From the Word of God, we understand that the Creator fashioned “spiritual beings” (celestial) and “physical beings” (terrestrial), in heaven and on earth, respectively. We are told of angelic beings (spiritual) and natural beings (human beings). Scripture indicates that these created spiritual beings are able to interact within the physical realm of creation. Within the angelic realm, the Bible refers to the holy angels of God (e.g. Michael the archangel, and Gabriel the messenger of God)—and the fallen angels of Satan who rebelled against the authority of God (indicating the angelic realm has the power of “free will”).

Jude writes—“And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day…” (Jude 6). I interpret Jude’s reference to “when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men” in Gen. 6:4, before the great Flood in the days of Noah. These angelic beings (spiritual realm) took on human form and had sexual relations with the daughters of men (physical realm) before the Flood. Thus, we have the spiritual realm interacting within the physical realm.
Hebrews 13:2 states—“Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.” This makes reference to men encountering heavenly beings on earth—the same as Abraham (Gen. 18), Lot (Gen. 19), Gideon (Judges 6), and Manoah (Judges 13)—the angels appearing to these men in human form.
Another aspect of the spiritual realm can be discerned in what the angel Gabriel, the messenger of God, said to Daniel—“Then he [Gabriel] said to me, ‘Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come [from God] because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia [in the spiritual realm] withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael [the archangel], one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.” (Daniel 10:12—13). The “prince of Persia” or “kings of Persia” were not earthly or human rulers—but this refers to an ongoing conflict taking place in the spiritual or heavenly realm, with the archangel Michael one of the most powerful angels of God!
Remember the citation above where the apostle Paul refers to principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age, and the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Eph. 6:12)!!?? We are given a glimpse here in Daniel of the conflict occurring in the heavenly realm also!

Daniel continues—“Then he [Gabriel] said, ‘Do you know why I have come to you? And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia [heavenly realm]; and when I have gone forth, indeed the prince of Greece will come [heavenly realm, future conflict]. But I will tell you what is noted in the Scripture of Truth. No one upholds me against these, except Michael your prince’.” (Daniel 10:20—21). All of this revolves around Daniel’s visions regarding prophecies concerning the earthly empires of Persia and Greece—Persia first, to be followed by the Grecian empire under Alexander the Great. Even as Persia was under the ultimate dominion of corrupt spiritual beings from Satan, so also would the Grecian empire be under Satan’s domain—the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (And by extension, the future Roman Empire, also—and by extension, the Empire, the superpower of the U.S. today!)
Further Scriptural evidence of the interaction of the spiritual realm within the physical realm can be seen in demon possession. One of many Biblical examples is found in Luke 8:26—39. Encountering a demon-possessed man—“Jesus asked him, saying, ‘What is your name?’ And he said, ‘Legion,’ because many demons had entered him. And they [the demons] begged Him that He would not command them to go out into the abyss.” (vv. 30—31). If they were sent to the abyss, their play-time on earth was over!
Ergo, where am I going with all this, and what is my point??!! First, I had to provide some Scriptural foundation to my argument—the above. Again, I am speaking primarily to true believers in Jesus Christ (as opposed to Christians in name only!). If we hold the Scriptures as Truth (in the literal-sense interpretation thereof), how do we make sense of (or accommodate or assimilate) the UFO/ extra-terrestrial phenomena before us, staying true to the Word of God?
If God created “all things” heaven and earth, would He allow another type of created physical being (an extra-terrestrial) to come into direct contact with another created physical being (humans)? Ultimately, this would usurp God’s plan of salvation for mankind and eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ, and throw it out the window! Which would render the whole of Scripture as we know it as a non-truth (a fiction).

I believe in the Nicene Creed, and what the Creed expresses is my standard for judging if someone is a Christian or not. The Creed IMO is an expression of historic fact, the central fact of human history.
Having spent many decades thinking (and worrying) about the arguments among Christians; examining the pros and cons of the historical Jesus; inquiring into the authorship of the Gospels and the “theology” of Paul; being affected by the fact (for instance) that people were burned alive FOR NOT believing in the Real Presence, and being equally affected by the fact that people were burned alive FOR believing in the Real Presence; God gave me the grace to love and trust Him.
Wolf said something a few months back which meant a lot to me. Someone he knew told Wolf that a personal relationship with Jesus was just that, personal. Jesus knows my heart and soul, and He knows my gratitude to Him. If I can reflect even a small part of the Love that Jesus has given me, I am happy.
I find Corso and Lazar convincing, although ultimately I can’t say. There are so many mysteries and possibilities. But whatever the reality, I am content to be loved by Jesus and to love Him, the central fact of human history. And if something fantastic turns out to be true, God knows about it, and it is part of God’s creation.
If other people believe other things, that does not bother me, unless they mean me harm, and even then I am mostly not bothered.
The brilliant Chuck Missler said he was often asked by people how to understand confusing parts of the Old Testament. He told them, always look at it with Jesus in mind, and you will figure it out. And when Missler said Jesus, I think he meant Jesus as an historical fact, as expressed in the Nicene Creed.
In the same way, in life, and with respect to all the mysteries in life, I see them with Jesus in mind, and they resolve themselves to my satisfaction and gratitude.
Conversely, through His Word, God has revealed to us all the truth that we need to know, at a level His created human being can best understand, to come to a rational knowledge of Him. “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6). One way, one truth, one life!
Whatever elements are in the universe, whether on earth or in the heavens, they are architectures and systems put in place by the Creator of the universe—nothing comes from “outside,” no foreign element comes from “without” and introduces itself within “all things created heaven and earth.”
Many ancient alien theorists postulate that extra-terrestrials came to earth in ancient times and genetically modified an existing species on earth to create the human species—and apparently the government has physical evidence that they have returned to follow up on the progress of their experiment, by way of extra-terrestrial crash sites, etc. (Roswell, for example). Area 51 is the primary government facility where reverse engineering of alien technology has been taking place, and to perhaps hold the remains of the victims of crashes. However, as the Ancient Aliens show always ask—“What if it were true that…”—without ever providing any evidence to validate their theories.
Whatever the case—the physical elements and technology being harnessed through reverse engineering must be of this world because they are capable of being produced and operating within the laws and mechanics of this world, using material found in this world. But perhaps I am blinded to all the extra-terrestrial cargo craft coming inbound from outer space bringing other world material.

Then, the other question is to what degree this is a government psyop, as opposed to a government cover-up? And if the aliens are so advanced, then why haven’t they sought to control the planet for themselves? And if we have received their technologies and materials, why is our advancement into space so slow and human-like?
So, how can all this stuff fit (jive) with Scripture? Is the Satanic spiritual realm playing tricks on us? Are the spiritual forces of Satan taking “alien form” in order to deceive humankind? What a grand deception that would be! Does the Antichrist come to earth in a space craft in order to deceive mankind? Are the celestial beings sided with Satan taking on a physical disguise in order to deceive God’s human creation? Deceiving God’s creation has always been a primary goal of the father of lies and deception himself, Satan! Why do the global elite worship and sacrifice to Lucifer if he doesn’t exist and provision them with riches and power? Such activity would be superfluous, even useless!
“The coming of the lawless one [the Antichrist] is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2Thes. 2:9—12). God will send them [non-believers] strong delusion, that they should believe the lie! And Satan will employ his supernatural power to deceive mankind!

Contemplate this description by 1st century (A.D.) John the Revelator, depicting the demon locusts released out of the bottomless pit (the abyss) by the Angel of Destruction (Abaddon)—“And the appearance of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle; on their heads, as it were, crowns like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. And they had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings like the sound of chariots, of many horses rushing to battle. And they have tails like scorpions, and stings; and in their tails is their power to hurt men for five months.” (Rev. 9:7—10; NASB). John is describing this vision within the framework of his 1st century (A.D.) knowledge and mindset by inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God.
Spiritual discernment is and will be critical on the human level—“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” (1John 4:1—3).
Just some thoughts from a Biblical worldview interpreted in the grammatical-historical hermeneutic of Scripture.

A couple weeks ago on this site, following Lin Wood, I suggested that VSG could use an extraordinary writ to address the articles of impeachment. Wood suggested mandamus, and I suggested others, including possible use of a declaratory judgment to have the SC essentially rule on the sufficiency of the evidence. They would do this by defining what is meant by a high crime and misdemeanor.
Now Robert Barnes has written an article suggesting the use of a declaratory judgement for the same reasons. Barnes was way off in his interpretation (“decode”) of Sullivan’s decision in the Flynn case, but this article is right on.
I like the use of a declaratory judgement because it would judicially recognize the phoniness of the impeachment scam. A couple leftist members of the SC might even agree on a question like this.

Kimberly most likely bought her gown in NY or elsewhere. The exclusive shops in Palm Beach keep a very close tab on the locals so they don’t show up at the same event in the same gown. This, of course, wasn’t one of the many charity balls so more difficult to cross check. To most, it may sound very silly but if you spend $10,000 on a ball gown you really don’t want to see it (maybe worn much better!) across the room.

There’s a great restaurant outside of Vail you take a horse sled into the woods…name escapes me at the moment, but anyone will know it. Very popular, even in the summer. Highly recommend it for the experience.
