“We do not believe any group of men adequate enough or wise enough to operate without scrutiny or without criticism. We know that the only way to avoid error is to detect it, that the only way to detect it is to be free to inquire. We know that in secrecy error undetected will flourish and subvert.” –J. Robert Oppenheimer
Rush explained he’s already received a second opinion on his diagnosis, thought about keeping his treatment secret, but will need to miss some days behind the microphone while he is being treated.
The reaction across social media was instant, with Levin and Beck openly weeping. The left celebrated as is typical of the left. Yet, nothing can burnish Rush’s star.
At one time or another, all of us have been inspired by Rush. When and where did you first hear him? Did he stop and make you think? Did he make you ask questions? Did he motivate you?
God Speed to the Limbaugh family as Rush undergoes treatment. We want to hear from him behind a microphone as soon as possible.
We’re still here. It’s still ShaMMMpeachment. The never-ending-Groundhog Day–of-a-swirl-of-crap from the Dems. The country has moved on but the Dems are still stuck. Republicans are forced into a cleanup on isle 12 for the perpetually offended.
We know the Dems will never stop. There will be another faux scandal after “Muh Russia” and “Muh Ukraine”, I wonder if we will move onto another Soviet Bloc country? Do we know anyone in Latvia? Estonia? Just sayin’……………
We’re proud of our Team!
And most of all, we’re ready for some offense from our President!
Thank you so very much for all the comments from QTreeps. The threads have been lively and informative! Thank you!
1,671 Caucuses will be held this evening in Iowa. There will also be a “caucus” in Paris, France, Scotland, and the Republic of Georgia, for Iowans who live out of country. All are run by volunteers. It’s what makes Iowa special in the Presidential Election process and a system the citizens of Iowa take quite seriously.
A candidate must get to a 15% threshold to obtain delegates. There’s a LOT of persuasion involved.
In 1972, the state of Iowa reformed their election process to the current intricate caucus system. One candidate who paid attention was Jimmy Carter, polling a 2%. His campaign bet big on Iowa. Carter started working the Iowa caucuses in 1974, and the press notoriety he gained vaulted him to the Presidency. Subsequent candidates assumed, if it worked for Governor Peanut, it might work for them, and the focus on Iowa began. Same with Freshman Senator Obama in 2008, who gained Oprah’s endorsement before the Iowa Caucus.
Throughout the day and this evening, as we track results, commentators will refer to various counties. Thought this map might help to get us oriented.
The map below is a district map for State Senators and will give you a better idea of population distribution, with obviously smaller districts in larger metro areas.
Historically, the biggest thing to effect the Iowa Caucus is the weather. Today looks pretty good in Iowa. “More clouds than sun. Some drizzle or freezing drizzle possible. High 36F. Winds NNE at 15 to 25 mph.”, according to Weather.com
The Republicans will also caucus this evening. Since President Trump is mostly unopposed, we could see 1671 precinct mini-rallies for the President. The Trump campaign has dispatched 80 higher level campaign officials to speak at various caucuses including Don Jr, Eric, Lara, Admin members, all kinds of Trump Supporters will be on the ground this evening in Iowa.
Of course, Trump Supporters may take time out to troll a few Dem rallies today, very Trumpian.
Tonight, within those town halls, it will be all about persuasion and convincing the minority candidate members to JOIN another candidate. Let’s see what happens.
Because of the ShaMMMpeachment in DC, Presidential candidates who are also Senators have been stuck in DC, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Klobuchar. Much has been made of how much their absence will affect their chances to win Iowa. Pundits thought it might help Biden, Bloomberg, and Pete Boot-Edge-Edge, but it appears, Biden is sinking in the polls….. We’re not sure about the polling because the Des Moines Register refused to release their last poll under a cloud of suspicion.
Found a pic of Candidate Trump and Melania on the night of the Iowa Caucus in 2016. Check it out.
Of course, the best candidate with the best policies for Iowa is President Trump. Our side cannot rest comfortably and a contentious Dem primary stirs up activity on the side of the opposition. We need to be just as determined, come out and support our man, Trump, to win the state of Iowa in November!!
Where will YOU be in November?
Most of us have known of FLEP for years and admired his poll-tracking and diligence. FLEP has perfectly summed up the Dem Primary focus and how it relates to the Presidential election. Read his words from the News Roundup carefully. So good, I thought it was worth repeating here:
I truly believe that we are in the mist of watching the Democrat Party collapse right in front of our eyes. The 2020 Democrat Primaries are exposing that fact for us. The Democrats will have two parties coming out of the 2020 election. The Establishment Democrats and the Progressive/Socialist/Communist Democrats.
The problem for the Establishment Democrats and MSM is that they represent the old guard. The Progressive Democrats represent the new guard. By having the Progressive Democrats win the nominee will guarantee TRUMPISM reigning for the next 50+ years. There is no way that either party can beat the Trump Republican Party.
Bernie Sanders guarantees not only our President getting re-elected but he will win with over 350+ electoral votes and he will win the popular vote as well. He is a pure communist. Yes 30% of Americans love him and will vote for him. 55% of Americans LOVE our President and will vote for him.
The remaining 15% is what I consider the Establishment Democrats. Many will vote for our President or will sit out the election. Our President will not only win every state that he won in 2016, he will also win Virginia, Minnesota, New Mexico and New Hampshire. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he wins Nevada, Colorado and my long shot, Oregon.
Our man, FLEP, Good News RoundUp, February 3, 2020
Note #2: Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan are in Iowa right now, indicative of where the importance is in politics. Impeachment is overwith and we’ve moved on.
Note #3: Kiss of death, from Politico. Even left leaning media outlets are conceding the State of Iowa, implying whoever wins the Dem Primary, they won’t be back to the state, …… cuz Trump will win it.
This Merry Warrior Monday Open Thread is VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA/KMAG/KAG world (with KMAG being a bit of both).
Yes, it’s Monday…again.
But it’s okay! We’ll get through it.

For your listening enjoyment, I offer this composition from Ryan Forrest, titled ‘Hero’s Grit’:
A poltroon is a craven and dastardly coward, devoid of any spirit or courage.
The word ‘poltroon’ has been around since the 16th century and was also used to describe a lazy, idle sluggard, or a devious mean-spirited wretch.
‘Poltroon’ is said to be derived from the Latin word pullus, which meant young animal or chick…and is thought to be the origin of calling someone “chicken” for being cowardly.
Used in a sentence:
The perfidious poltroon, Adam Schiff, should be prosecuted for the lies he has told the American people.
