In that spirit, the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel from Tuesday’s threads, and the Breastplate of St. Patrick, not to mention the Litany of Humility are favorites recommended by exorcists in spiritual warfare.

Thus, I wish to address not only “…members of the QTree who no longer participate for one reason or another.” but in fact all people who might read these words or hear them, including those who ARE here now, but even those who are NOT here now, but who might be talked to by people who ARE here and who DO read these words.

Posting, commenting and reading here is not a “binary” thing. Yes, some of us are here every day, but others come and go, and that is OK.
In fact, if you find yourself in some kind of situation where you feel you are in conflict or a state of anger with somebody else, or with the site in general, then I encourage you to TAKE A WALK AND CHILL OUT, rather than swearing some angry oath to never show up here again.
DePat was always adamant that PRIDE is the greatest sin, and I think she was totally right about that. PRIDE will sneak up on you when you are JUSTIFIED and whisper appeals to truth and righteousness, which may have some real and momentary merit, but PRIDE will take you too far, and leave you standing over nothing but thin air – alone and trapped by your own error.
If you feel that you have to walk away from this site to regain control of your emotions, then I absolutely encourage you to do so, but never let that decision become its own justification – that you have to demonstrate the virtue of that decision by walking away from the “jury of your peers” forever.
PRIDE is not a virtue. FORGIVENESS is a command. LOVE is, too. And TIME makes this all possible.
Just think about it.
DePat never forgot the fundamentals, and I’m here to make sure she keeps bugging you about them!

Reminds me of what happened to a friend of mine 3+ decades ago. She had a mental decline/relapse, lost her job, & ultimately got evicted from her apartment. A Christian friend of hers paid her back rent & then held all of her personal belongings “hostage” until she was able to pay her back, including her winter coat in the middle of Winter. Ultimately my friend was able to obtain a bus voucher from the Salvation Army so she could return to her impoverished family & home town & slowly pick up the pieces of her life, including eventually obtaining her Master’s Degree.
Great ‘Christian.’ It is one of the reasons Christians get a black eye. I would never dream of doing that, but I have seen some very nasty actions by ‘Christians’ including the outright theft of MY PROPERTY by three different pastors. ALL of whom I had done favors for.

I had that happen to me with a school horse.
We had moved and then went back down state for a visit. I stopped by the stables where I had taken lessons for five years and was in Pony Club during the summer.
I walked in the barn, asked where’s Dutchy and hear wild wickering from the back of the barn. Dutchy was on the crossties dancing.
As a teen,I was surprised he had remembered me from over a year ago. However I have since learned horses will form long term attachments but people normally do not recognize them. This is because horses do not have the range of facial expressions a dog does or other methods of expressing those attachments.

The fact he was a school horse I rode once a week is what really shocked me. I could see if he was my personal horse but he wasn’t.
He was a very well trained Olympic level dressage horse BTW. He taught me a LOT! If I was not very, very precise on my commands he would refuse to do the requested move. I learned to use spurs on him. If a used them wrong, he would take a back hoof, hook the spur and rip it off my boot. 😮
The spurs were Prince-of-Wales with a pencil stub shaped spur. They were used for giving very precise commands. Think a finger on a key board vs your entire fist.
I would never have learned as much without that ‘School Master’ horse.

The reason for a sealed indictment is to stop the clock. That is to pause the statute of limitations, which is the legal time limit for charging a crime. This allows law enforcement more time to investigate and build a case without the risk of the statute of limitations expiring.
Given how MASSIVE the corruption is, I could see where sealed indictments would be a very very useful tool.

The government has expert economists who can easily price out the cost of policies like birthright citizenship or wasteful spending. Price injunction bonds fairly, and frivolous lawsuits become a financial risk, not a free pass. 5/
Without injunction bonds, the American people bear all the costs of activists and judges blocking the agenda they voted for. Why should activists and judges get to overrule the American people with no penalty if they’re wrong? Our system wasn’t meant to work this way. 6/
For national injunctions, we’re talking bonds in the hundreds of millions or even billions. It will become prohibitive unless the activists have a slam dunk case. 7/
If a judge tries to lowball the bond amount, it’s a quick and easy reversal given the unambiguous language in the federal rules. 8/
The best part? This doesn’t block activists from court; it just stops them from using preliminary injunctions to pause government action based on arguments that might not hold up in an appellate court. 9/

(b) Temporary Restraining Order.
(1) Issuing Without Notice. The court may issue a temporary restraining order without written or oral notice to the adverse party or its attorney only if:
(A) specific facts in an affidavit or a verified complaint clearly show that immediate and irreparable injury, loss, or damage will result to the movant before the adverse party can be heard in opposition; and
(B) the movant’s attorney certifies in writing any efforts made to give notice and the reasons why it should not be required.
(2) Contents; Expiration. Every temporary restraining order issued without notice must state the date and hour it was issued; describe the injury and state why it is irreparable; state why the order was issued without notice; and be promptly filed in the clerk’s office and entered in the record. The order expires at the time after entry—not to exceed 14 days—that the court sets, unless before that time the court, for good cause, extends it for a like period or the adverse party consents to a longer extension. The reasons for an extension must be entered in the record.
(3) Expediting the Preliminary-Injunction Hearing. If the order is issued without notice, the motion for a preliminary injunction must be set for hearing at the earliest possible time, taking precedence over all other matters except hearings on older matters of the same character. At the hearing, the party who obtained the order must proceed with the motion; if the party does not, the court must dissolve the order.
(4) Motion to Dissolve. On 2 days’ notice to the party who obtained the order without notice—or on shorter notice set by the court—the adverse party may appear and move to dissolve or modify the order. The court must then hear and decide the motion as promptly as justice requires.
(c) Security. The court may issue a preliminary injunction or a temporary restraining order 👉only if the movant gives security in an amount that the court considers proper to pay the costs and damages sustained by any party found to have been wrongfully enjoined or restrained. 👉The United States, its officers, and its agencies are not required to give security.
(d) Contents and Scope of Every Injunction and Restraining Order.
(1) Contents. Every order granting an injunction and every restraining order must:
(A) state the reasons why it issued;
(B) state its terms specifically; and
(C) describe in reasonable detail—and not by referring to the complaint or other document—the act or acts restrained or required.
(2) Persons Bound. The order binds only the following who receive actual notice of it by personal service or otherwise:
(A) the parties;
(B) the parties’ officers, agents, servants, employees, and attorneys; and
(C) other persons who are in active concert or participation with anyone described in Rule 65(d)(2)(A) or (B).
(e) Other Laws Not Modified. These rules do not modify the following:
(1) any federal statute relating to temporary restraining orders or preliminary injunctions in actions affecting employer and employee;
(2) 28 U.S.C. §2361 , which relates to preliminary injunctions in actions of interpleader or in the nature of interpleader; or
(3) 28 U.S.C. §2284 , which relates to actions that must be heard and decided by a three-judge district court.
(f) Copyright Impoundment. This rule applies to copyright-impoundment proceedings.

U.S. District Judge John Bates in Washington agreed to issue a temporary restraining order requested by the Doctors for America advocacy group. The judge instructed the government to restore access to several webpages and datasets that the group identified as missing from websites and to identify others that also were taken down “without adequate notice or reasoned explanation.”
On Jan. 20, his first day back in the White House, Trump signed an order for agencies to use the term “sex” and not “gender” in federal policies and documents. In response, the Office of Personnel Management’s acting director required agency heads to eliminate any programs and take down any websites that promote “gender ideology.”
Doctors for America, represented by the Public Citizen Litigation Group, sued OPM, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Food and Drug Administration and the Department of Health and Human Services.
The case is among dozens of lawsuits challenging executive orders that Trump, a Republican, issued within hours of his second inauguration.
The scrubbed material includes reports on HIV prevention, a CDC webpage for providing clinicians with guidance on reproductive health care and an FDA study on “sex differences in the clinical evaluation of medical products.”
Removing important information from the CDC and FDA websites is delaying patient care, hampering research and hindering doctors’ ability to communicate with patients, the plaintiffs’ attorneys argued in a court filing.
“The agencies’ actions create a dangerous gap in the scientific data available to monitor and respond to disease outbreaks, halt or hamper key health research, and deprive physicians of resources that impact clinical practice,” they wrote.
Government lawyers argued that Doctors for America’s claims fall “well short of clearly showing irreparable harm” to any plaintiffs and are unlikely to succeed on their merits.
“Either failure provides a sufficient basis for denying extraordinary relief,” they wrote.
During a hearing Monday, the judge asked plaintiffs’ attorney Zachary Shelley if the removal of the online material harms the public. Shelley said the doctors’ interests align with their patients.

Transportation Sec. Sean Duffy was at the I-40 gorge closure area with Sen. Bill Hagerty and other state officials. Tremendous effort into one of the most expense single highway rebuild projects in the nation’s history according to them. Two lanes will reopen in mid March, probably to limited commercial traffic. The other two lanes along the river still need massive amounts large rock to build a base. Unfortunately, common sense did not arrive until now with PDT. The contractor had not been allowed to use the local rock due to its presence in protected areas, so they have been trucking it in some 20 miles, which has been more than doubling the cost and slowing the process.

#US envoy Steve Witkoff is leaving Russian airspace with Marc Fogel, an American who was detained by #Russia, the White House announces.
In August 2021, Fogel entered Russia through customs at Sheremetyevo Airport when around half an ounce of medical marijuana was found in his luggage. The substance had been prescribed to him in the United States to treat chronic pain.
In June 2022, Fogel was convicted of drug trafficking and sentenced to 14 years in prison. In October 2022, he was transferred from a detention center in Moscow to a penal colony, where he will serve the remainder of his sentence.
In May 2022, the US State Department designated basketball player Brittney Griner as being wrongfully detained, but did not do so for Fogel. Fogel’s case has not generated nearly the public attention that Griner’s case garnered.[7] Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey (D) has voiced his dissatisfaction with the Biden administration’s handling of the case.
In 2022, following the Brittney Griner conversation, a petition was initiated on Change.org, calling for Fogel’s freedom and urging the Biden administration to designate him as wrongfully detained. As of September 7, 2023, it had garnered 22,455 signatures out of its 25,000 signature goal.
Fogel was not part of the 2024 Russian prisoner exchange, though according to an American official there were ongoing conversations about his release. Fogel’s family voiced their disappointment that Fogel had not been included in the exchange, implying his lack of notoriety to be the cause: “Marc has been unjustly detained for far too long and must be prioritized in any swap negotiations with Russia, regardless of his level of notoriety or celebrity.”

Just want to make a point I was about to make yesterday, but at which point discussion got diverted (and I’m going to leave that all alone).
I had said that Trump was a VSG for bringing J.D. Vance into politics.
It was pointed out correctly that Peter Thiel was instrumental in doing a variety of things which (and this is my summarization) raised J.D. Vance’s stature in the business world.
In fact, I would characterize what Thiel did as bringing J.D. Vance into the elite.
That is a different thing from elevating J.D. in politics, which is what Trump did, in my opinion.
What I saw, particularly during my very intense involvement in Ohio politics, was Trump routinely placing winning bets (both long-term and short-term) that most people did not see. His backing of both J.D. Vance and Bernie Moreno was classic in this regard – and was CRITICAL for their winning. At two critical junctures, Trump picked, supported or endorsed a person who was considered a less likely, non-establishment, risky-pick candidate. And when Trump repeated this a third time, by picking J.D. Vance as his own running mate, and winning HUGELY in the general election, I see this as more of the same.
Trump knew that J.D. was gold – very much like himself – in politics – as a candidate.
Now – Sundance is very good at seeing (as I do, too, quite frankly) the weaving threads of American oligarchs, financial institutions, media, national security spending, political candidates, and all that jazz. But as I say, it is a WEAVE. The threads weave, but they are still separate threads.
It is true TO ME at least, that when Sundance gets off the “Trump thread” and starts reporting on Oligarchs, NatSec, IC, etc., it can all sound very “doom-pornish” at times, but I will be honest – WE sound that way, too, at times, as we get onto non-Trump threads of discussion, so that is one case where I’m not gonna throw the first stone.
IN ANY CASE, I have found that Sundance is always a hot topic, and I encourage people to do what I do, which is to separate your EMOTIONAL RESPONSE from your LOGICAL RESPONSE – and one way to do that is ALWAYS to examine yourself or others you love or admire for similar sins first.
Personally, I think Sundance (is he even one person? Separate discussion – “almost” IMO) is a very smart guy, who sees things early and often, and (like Trump) sounds like he has endless ego – until you realize that maybe such people NEED to be self-referential just to stay so far ahead of the pack. Look at Trump, where different people see the exact same things as humility or ego. We forgive Trump – his midwit enemies never do, and that’s why they’re losers. Bottom line, however, is that to play in those discussions, one needs to set emotions aside to the necessary extent, and be humble while playing.
AFTERWARDS one can joke about whether Sundance’s ego is Moon-high or Mars-high….. Oh, wait – am I bringing Elon (who I adore) into this, too? Yes. And more.
Bottom line – be happy, as in THANK GOD HAPPY – that you live in an era where you can literally get on the internet and talk back wisely to such wise people as you read their thoughts. We live in a glorious era, and it is by the grace of God. Be humble about that. We don’t deserve it. And thus my final word – PRAISE GOD.
PS – I think that Trump’s smart betting in politics has rubbed off on Mike DeWine, who has made some shrewd bets with two appointments, and a third to fall out of his other two. Trump has literally taught DeWine how to move beyond safe machine politics, into the riskier but more rewarding possibilities of non-establishment candidates.

IMO SD can in no way be compared to Trump. I don’t look for humility in Trump because he can back up his ego with success and accomplishments on a scale so rarefied that few can be measured by it. But he does exhibit humility too, like when he stopped to pick up the marine’s cap that the wind had blown off his head, and when Trump stayed behind with Ben Carson when being introduced on a debate stage because Carson had missed his cue.
The issues I have with SD are not based on emotion. They’re not about being banned, for example. They’re not about being hit by “doom” on its face, either. That would be simplistic, as in a *We finally have hope, so don’t rain on our parade* kind of thing. Instead, they’re about how he chooses to interpret the data he finds and presents. IMO he comes across as someone who thinks he has the answers that the rest of us can’t see. Of course, sometimes he does have thoughts that might not have occurred to others yet, but I see that multiple times, most days, here, so it’s not unique to him.
Many times when I get steered over there, I come away thinking he just stated the obvious and that he was not the first one to think of it. There are times when he presents a different perspective too, but I have never found those to be earth-shattering.
Regarding “doom,” the state of the world is terrible, so yes, parsing it and describing it can be negative, including here. But that’s not all that he does. He takes something that is working well and inserts “doom” into it because he appears to think he has found a smoking gun whose significance no one, not even Trump or Stephen Miller or Steve Bannon, etc., can see. Your point about the relationships between Thiel and Vance and Trump is well taken.
Speaking of Bannon, I also had an issue with SD stating that Bannon said something in a speech that Bannon did not say. Incredulous, I listened to it twice to make sure. (Now I can’t remember what was said or the occasion, but it was a major speech.)

Posting at CTH was always an exercise in walking on eggshells, and knowing every post I made could be my last. When it actually happened, I wasn’t surprised. It was sad, and it’s hard to prepare for the abruptness of it, just being cut off, as if you never existed, but I was already resigned to the eventuality.
I don’t miss walking on eggshells at all. It just made everything I wanted to say three times harder and less direct.

He covers a lot of important issues, so CTH is like a news aggregator, filtered into stories that are important to most conservatives. It’s a good place to check every day, because he (or his people) have already surveyed the much larger news landscape and cherry picked several of the more interesting stories.
Then the stories / reports are filtered further, through the lens of SD, which you have to take into consideration as you read.
Isn’t this what the better leaders do in any endeavor? You identify talent coming up through the ranks through your trusted sources; you observe their activities, families, connections; you have some due diligence done; you have a trusted friend, contact, or mentor develop a relationship with them; etc.
No doubt in my mind JD has been developed over time in this manner for future usage as he is today.
My problem with SD is he smears people using his viewpoints. State the facts you want to present, but do not leave out or shout down the counterpoints that might lead to a different conclusion. Then do not punish the readers who spot the distinction and vocalize it.
Or, for most of here, just banish us!
Unfortunately, what I think I have noticed about Sundance is not about his ego.
Since the election, Sundance has been negative about many of Trump’s picks for all kinds of reasons. But it’s mostly negative, not much good to say about anybody. Matt Gaetz was his choice, but the winner Pam Bondi sucks. He was down on J.D. from the moment Trump announced him. He doesn’t trust/like JFK, Jr. On and on it goes.
If there are twenty nominees to departments, and SD says they are all bad, down the road when ONE of the twenty turns out bad, he can point back to that one and say “see, I was right!”
But he isn’t going to say, “but the other 19 I was completely wrong about.”
It’s a play I’ve experienced before. I knew this very smart but not at all motivated lady once. All she did was sit around talking about “ideas” she had. Like she would say something like “I think we should build a manned rocket to explore Mars.” And then when some motivated genius like Elon built it, she would say “he stole my idea!” She did it constantly, with everything from book plot ideas, to plays the local high school should produce. But if you’ve named every Broadway production as a production idea, then no matter what play they do, you were “first.”
Once I saw it, I couldn’t unsee it.
OK – I have to agree that SD’s “pre-picks” of Trump’s cabinet and closest advisors were almost universally way off – as mine would have been, TBH – mostly due to lack of information about the real field of candidates – which Trump CLEARLY researched heavily and correctly.
So yeah. He does need to get back to learning from Trump, rather than doing the “trumpneedsta” thing.

Excellent observation Wolf. I just had a deep discussion with the DW about what’s happening currently. She’s been pretty much on the sidelines in regards to PDJT and politics in general. This election she finally realized what impact PDJT would have for the Republic this time, which she didn’t see in the first election. She was able to overlook Trumps ego for the betterment of the country. She’s finally realizing (observing) the corruption that’s been taking place for years.
PDJT has awakened a vast amount of people that otherwise wouldn’t have been awakened hadn’t he been as outspoken or opinionated, he broke the mold of the typical politician.

Drop the voltage by 10 percent, the light output goes down to around 70 percent, but the bulb life goes up by a factor of 10-20 or more… which means my little bulb farm will last another 100 years 😀

Her age group was in fact the COVID danger zone for adults with comorbidities. I knew several mid-50s with comorbidities who died of either COVID or the vaccine.
It is in that respect that Gingersmom is right. IVM might have helped her survive and recover, if she had COVID or influenza A in late 2024 as I suspect.

In the case of fraudulent payments being uncovered, as is currently the case, the potential damage from an injunction is in the tens of billions of dollars and the moving states must post said bond.
In the case of continuing damage during the time the TRO or injunction is in force the bond must, by the rules of procedure, be sufficient to compensate the enjoined party through the entire time the injunction or TRO is in force. If you win you get it back but if you lose its forfeit to the party you enjoined to compensate them for the damage you caused them.
Who’s going to write that bond? Nobody, in that sort of amount, so they’d have to post it in cash.
Why isn’t the Trump Administration demanding that said bonds be posted with all such filings? I remind you that the Executive has allegedly found tens of billions of improper or fraudulent payments in one area (Social Security) alone and the GAO claims over $100 billion a year is improperly paid through CMS — and the latter is the government’s own numbers, not DOGE’s, so on its face any injunction compelling continued payments must cover at least that much times the expected pendency of final resolution.
Doing so is required by law, it is not discretionary, and it ends this bull**** in an hour.

She reminds me of a neighbor I had who was also from Africa. She thought the Blacks in this country were coddled spoiled brats.
Her family was very interesting. The eldest son came to the States and got a degree as a medical doctor. He worked here and put his sister thru school. She was a Physicians Assistant. She was working to put her younger brother thru school as a pharmacist. I think there were a couple of other children also in the que. The family was going to have an entire medical office when they were done.
Too bad many of our Blacks do not have that same drive.

I hate to say this, but people have to understand this point. Most of the corruption, waste, fraud, and abuse they are finding are perfectly “legal.”
So there will be no arrests or perp walks. The way Congress and lobbyists and the WH wrote these “laws” allowed all this stuff to occur in the free and clear. As Trump said today, usually when you are looking for bad stuff, you find 1 in a 100. They are finding 99 out of 100 because it was “legal” to do it. They weren’t hiding it from their club or the legal system, but from the voters.
Sure, it was wrong, and voters would never put up with it, so they had to hide it in 1000 page bills that they had to pass to find out what was in it.
Well, guess what? We are now finding out what this bastards passed “legally.”
So, don’t expect arrests. They did it all legally while we slept.
If true, then it was high time the people came to know what has been done so we can do something about it.

They should ask the LDS for help with how to make it efficient. They have a vault called Granite Mountain where they store the “overflow” genealogical records, books, films, etc. that the Family History Library in Salt Lake City can’t hold. Here is a long take on the court injunction crisis, which is less crisis than an opportunity…
OK, stop panicking about all the stupid legal decisions from leftist judges that the left is getting from judge shopping in leftist jurisdictions.
Stop. Panicking.
First, no one should be surprised by any of this. The administration certainly isn’t. We always knew exactly what they would do. Do not take the fact they are not screaming and yelling as them rolling over. They are not rolling over. There’s plenty going on behind the scenes as administration lawyers prepare their papers for the legal fight to come.
Second, since we have to have this fight, this is the time and the battleground to have it. Why? We want it settled right at the beginning of the administration so that we don’t have to deal with this down the road. And we want to fight on these orders because 1) they are manifestly the result of bad faith judge shopping and the opinions themselves are both procedural and 2) they are substantively ridiculous. They are legal jokes. Don’t listen to the dummy lawyers on Twitter – only listen to me or the people I tell you that you can rely on. Everyone telling you these are reasoned, valid legal decisions is either a legal illiterate or thinks you are stupid.
Third, the way this fight is happening is to our advantage. Wait, you ask, we’re getting decision after decision against us! How can that be good? Because they are leaving the Supreme Court no choice. People want Trump to sound off about this, but he doesn’t need to. What’s left unstated is the fact that he can just not obey these manifestly improper orders. They say it’s a constitutional crisis now, but that becomes a real one when they push Trump too far. He’s not going to submit forever to micromanagement of the executive branch by activist District Court judges in blue cities across America. And Chief Justice Roberts knows it.
CJ Roberts and majority of the court know these are ridiculous legally, and the last thing they want to do is stake the credibility of the Court – which famously has no divisions – on this kind of nonsense. They are not going to jump on the grenade that is these decisions. There might someday be a fight with a president about something where he is legally in the wrong, but this is not that time. This is not the hill the Supreme Court will die on. Wisely, Trump’s not adding fuel to the fire by threatening to do what it’s very clear he can do, which is disobey. This provides SCOTUS the cover it needs to deal with these upstart district courts without looking like Trump strong-armed it.
So relax and let the process go forward. We’re going to win on all these injunctions, and I expect fairly quickly
What he is NOT saying, is it also makes the Left look like very corrupt pigs scrambling to protect their money laundering scams.

Donald Trump will have to fight to *become* President. Simply being elected to the office is not enough.
Since 1945, the United States has not had a Chief Executive. A combination of Congress, the permanent civil service (deep state), media, and courts has cucked every duly-elected President out of his constitutional powers.
Only two men–Richard Nixon and Donald Trump–have attempted to restore the presidency’s authority in the post-war era. Both men came under immense media, legal, and even physical assault for doing so. In Nixon’s case, the attack worked. In Trump’s case he came 1/4th of an inch away from having his head blown off on live television.
To put it mildly, there is an enormous and sustained conspiracy by the established powers in DC to prevent the people from electing a President to do their will.
There is no “imperial presidency”. Nothing of the sort exists. We don’t even have the constitutional presidency!

Real power is the ability to break from institutional “consensus.” If the President cannot do that then he isn’t really President.

Our middle child Vivek turns 5 on February 12. He goes to bed late like his dad, so we were able to hang out after everyone else went to bed. He fell asleep just a few minutes before he turned 5 officially (it’s just past midnight here). As I reflected on this day, it occurs to me that I have an easier life than most, and still I sometimes forget to count my blessings. Not today: I am grateful for the opportunity to serve, and most of all grateful to my family.

An active duty senior NCO asked me to share the below thoughts (he wishes to remain anonymous). It’s an excellent and thoughtful post about retaining quality people in the military, and is a message and question for Secretary Hegseth from the ranks he now leads. (I’ll tag Secretary Hegseth in my post one below.) Here is the message:

The current US military is seeing the end of the 9/11 era, with the last remnants retiring or soon to. The surge era members like myself, are nearing or at normal retirement.
The prior administration has decimated our ranks. The focus was always on new accessions and retention was thrown to the wayside.
Between COVID, lockdowns, burn-out and myriads of other reasons, our middle to upper-level enlisted ranks feel purged. Combine this all together as we have seen a massive loss of subject matter experts and inherent knowledge for platforms, systems and positions.
I have witnessed amazing talent get used and abused early in their careers primarily due to lack of manpower and burn out quickly. Why would they stay in a military that abuses them without hope of relief when they can get out and make more money, have less responsibility and simply “do their job” without all the extra tack-on duties?
So, my question to you, is what do you plan to do to keep members in? What is the top end outlook at retention efforts? Increasing recruiting numbers is an important task but we must not forget those already serving. The knowledge and expertise drain experienced the last four years will only make training the new members that much harder. I am already reinvigorated by the new Administration and your appointment as SECDEF, I look forward to you keeping the momentum going. Thank you for your time.
