On this day and every day –

God is in Control
. . . and His Grace is Sufficient, so . . .
Keep Looking Up

Hopefully, every Sunday, we can find something here that will build us up a little . . . give us a smile . . . and add some joy or peace, very much needed in all our lives.

“This day is holy to the Lord your God;
do not mourn nor weep.” . . .
“Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet,
and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared;
for this day is holy to our Lord.
Do not sorrow,
for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

God’s Will

Many people are interested in knowing God’s Will for their life. But most people are confused about God’s Will because the term is used to describe three different ideas or concepts.

Most sincere Christians would say they want to do God’s Will, particularly when they need to make a big decision. Unfortunately, knowing the Will of God seems like an elusive mystery to most people. We are often confused about how to be wise, “understanding what the Will of the Lord is” (Ephesians 5:17).

This confusion is partly due to three different concepts all being referred to as “God’s Will.” They are God’s “Perfect Will,” His “Proscribed Will” (which is revealed in His Word), and His “Predetermined Will” (or Plan).

1. God’s Perfect Will
The first “Will of God” is the idea that God may have a “Perfect Will” for our lives. Many preachers and teachers talk about “God’s Perfect Will.” So, Christians often wonder whether there is a “Perfect Will of God” for their lives, and if there is, how they can know it. They may be especially concerned about this when they have a big decision to make.

The Greek original reads “that you may discern what the will of God is, the good and acceptable and perfect.” And teleios (the Greek word translated as “perfect”) means complete or mature.

The command in Romans 12:2 is not to do the perfect will of God. It is to stop conforming to the image of the world. Instead, we are exhorted to allow ourselves to be continually transformed by the renewing of our minds through the work of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Then we will be able to understand God’s Will by what is good, spiritually mature and pleasing to God.

So, “God’s Perfect Will” can be better understood as God’s Preferred Will, that which is good, spiritually mature and pleasing to God. The Preferred Will of God is what God desires. But even though God is omnipotent, His Preferred Will is often ignored or rejected in this sin cursed world. God allows this as a natural consequence of creating us in His image with a free will.

2. God’s Proscribed Will
If only there were a way to know what God desires so we could do it. . . well, there is. God has revealed it to us in His Word, the Bible.

God’s second Will is “His Proscribed Will.” God has clearly revealed many do’s and don’ts (positive precepts and prohibitions), and other guiding principles in His Word to show us how He wants us to live.

These principles are often referred to as the “Moral” or “Revealed” Will of God. God does not want people to sin; He desires love, holiness, and obedience instead.

The best-known prohibitions in the Bible are the 8 “Thou shalt not . . .” commands in the Ten Commandments. Doing anything the Bible has expressly prohibited is sin.

The Bible contains hundreds of positive precepts (commands) as well. Failing to do what God has commanded us to do is also sin.

The Two Greatest Commandments:
Of all the commands in the Bible, Jesus revealed the two greatest commands which are the most important to obey.

The Greatest Commandment:
Thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. (Deuteronomy 6:5; 10:12; 11:1, 13; 13:3; 30:6; Joshua 22:5; Matthew 22:37-38; Mark 12:30; Luke 10:27)

The Second Greatest Commandment:
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. (Leviticus 19:18, 34; Matthew 19:19; 22:39-40; Mark 12:31; Luke 10:27; Romans 13:8-10; James 2:8)

The great news is that the “Two Greatest Commandments” provide practical principles by which we can discern God’s Will. For all the law is fulfilled . . . in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.(Galations 5:14)

1.  We should love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. This is Godlike ‘agape’ love, which is a choice, not based on feeling. This precept means God should take first place in your life relative to everything else. You should love God more than your family, friends, possessions, and even your own life. If you truly love God, you will want to do the things that please Him.

2.   We should love our neighbor as ourselves. This also refers to Godlike ‘agape’ love, and it applies to all people (as in the story Jesus told of “the good Samaritan”), not just the people who live near you. If you love others as yourself, you will treat them the way you want to be treated; with kindness, generosity and respect.

While the two greatest commandments set a high bar, they are simple Principles that are easy to remember and understand. If we live by these two ‘Positive Precepts,’ we won’t need to worry about remembering all the rest.

As we seek to love God with all our heart, mind and soul, we should remember that Jesus said, “If ye love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15), and “He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me” (John 14:21). He also taught us that the way to abide in His love was by keeping His commandments (John 15:10).

So, the way we please God is by loving Him enough to keep His Proscribed Will revealed in the Bible, which includes loving Him with all our heart, mind and soul, and loving others as ourselves.

3. God’s Predetermined Will
God’s third Will is “His Predetermined Will,” which can be thought of as “God’s Plan.” God’s predetermined plan is certain and unchanging. Before God created the world, He had already determined everything that would happen.

Nothing has ever caught God by surprise. Before “the beginning,” He already knew everything that would be.

God is purposeful; His plan is not random. Everything He predetermined was chosen for a reason. So, “God’s Predetermined Will” is sometimes referred to as His “Purpose.” This purposeful Plan of God is what people are often referring to when they talk about predestination, destiny, or “God’s Sovereign Will.”

Because God has already predetermined everything that will happen, we cannot deviate from His plan. His predetermined plan will be accomplished. Everything we will ever think, say and do was already built into God’s plan before He spoke the world into existence.

We are still responsible for our thoughts and actions, because God created us in His image, with a free will and gave us the ability to make choices. However, our all-knowing God already knew us before He created the universe.

Before time began, by His ‘foreknowledge’, God already knew how we would use our free will, including every choice we would make. God’s omnipotent power and omniscient wisdom enabled Him to weave all our choices (good and bad) into His predetermined plan.

Whatever you do, God has already woven you into His Plan

You don’t have to worry about living God’s Predetermined Will because you can’t miss it. Whether you choose good or evil, love God or reject God, whatever you do, God has already woven you into His Plan.

Summary

God does not want us to be unwise, “but understanding what the will of the Lord is” (Ephesians 5:17). So don’t be foolish, but understand God’s Will and behave wisely.
xhttps://www.revealedtruth.com/doctrine/gods-3-wills/

I think the above can be more easily summarized and remembered by the following . . . and without giving names to the three concepts:

God’s Will (Three concepts)
1. What God would like to see happen (but does not enforce).
2. What is written in God’s Word (positive actions and prohibitions).
3. What actually does happen (planned and controlled or permitted by God).

Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin?
And not one of them falls to the ground
apart from your Father’s will.

I had never seen the concept of God’s will stated exactly in that way. Thank you, Carl.

Dems want to take the control over the U.S. Marshals from the executive branch and give it to the judicial branch.

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/jeff-charles/2025/05/23/democrats-trying-to-strip-trump-of-his-authority-over-the-us-marshals-n2657541

The judicial branch has no business overseeing law enforcement officers. Dems are so transparent in their efforts to try to curb PDJT’s power as the Chief Executive.

cthulhu

Funny how they don’t ask the Marshals how they might feel about this. I suspect it would rapidly lead to a retention crisis.

Wolf Moon

My goodness, these Demmunists are WICKED.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Think about it:

The mere fact that they push this tells you that IN SPITE of all their fuming over the composition of the court and the demise of Roe V. Wade…they’d rather have the Marshalls working for them than for the POTUS.

Gee. Why would that be?

para59r

IDK… but makes one wonder if the Empire Builder is not on Supreme Court? Seems the Dems would need some input from them before coming up with this hair brained scheme…. least the SC themselves waves this off. Big embarrassment if they do I’d think… but were talking dems so nothing has to make sense.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Most straightforwardly and superficially, the Dems would push this because they think the SCOTUS will want to thwart PDJT’s efforts to dismantle the behemoth state.

I don’t think one needs an “Empire Builder” to explain it, but even if such were to exist, just figuring that EB controls or at least greatly influences the Supreme Court is enough; the EB wouldn’t have to be on it.

Wolf Moon

Yup. They who control Roberts, would control the Marshalls.

WSB

No other recourse. Surprised they do not yet want to kidnap all county sheriffs.

On my one-and-only visit to the Capitol, (where I was given a tour by the estimable Moron Vendette) I saw this thing IRL. The people in Flight 93 were trying to save their lives — in this, they failed. As a secondary goal, they were trying to scramble and defeat the highjackers’ aims — in which they gloriously succeeded.

The way the plaque made their efforts all about bureaucrats in a museum just shows what a bubble these insufferable DC people live in. The bronze plaque is a monument to self-absorption disguised as a salute to heroes.

Last I heard they were uncertain whether Flight 93’s target was the White House or the Capitol.

The Democrats’ Anti-Electoral College Scheme May Be Imploding

The liberal dream of circumventing the Electoral College might be crumbling faster than anyone expected. Maine, one of the 17 states that joined the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, is now poised to become the first state to exit the agreement—and it’s sending shockwaves through the left-wing coalition that thought they’d found a clever workaround to the Constitution.

Just last year, Maine opted to join the compact, which would award all participating states’ electoral votes to whoever wins the national popular vote.

But now the state is having serious second thoughts.

The Maine House passed a bipartisan bill on Tuesday to withdraw from the compact, and it’s headed to the state Senate.

Let’s be honest—this reversal is no coincidence. The National Popular Vote compact has always had a partisan flavor, pushed hardest by Democrats who’ve long been frustrated by Electoral College outcomes they don’t like. The 2000 election was clearly a factor, and Trump’s 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton only supercharged the movement. Liberal states such as California and New York signed on, bringing the total to 209 electoral votes—still 61 short of the 270 needed to activate the compact.

Heading into 2024, there were growing whispers that Trump might once again win the presidency without the popular vote, and it’s easy to imagine how that would have reignited the left’s push to ditch the Electoral College altogether. But thankfully, we’ll never have to find out—because Trump crushed Kamala Harris in both the Electoral College and the national popular vote.

But Maine’s experience perfectly illustrates why the compact was always a bad idea. The state joined when Democrats figured Trump could never win the popular vote again. But Trump’s decisive popular vote victory in 2024 changed everything. Had the compact been in effect with current members, Trump would have carried a whopping 520 electoral votes, instead of the 312 he actually won.

The irony is delicious. Democrats pushed this compact because they thought it would permanently benefit their party’s candidates…

Now that Trump has proven he can win both the Electoral College and the popular vote, blue states are scrambling for the exits. Make no mistake about it—if Maine successfully withdraws, other states may follow. The compact was built on the false premise that Republicans couldn’t win the national popular vote, and Trump just shattered that illusion completely.

The third point sounds a little like predestination. I decided to ask brave a.i. about it. It’s not a viewpoint that is easy to articulate, and there have been many discussions in the church about how it “works.”

Brave a.i. result.
Partial quote:

Christian History of Predestination

The doctrine of predestination in Christianity has a rich history that spans centuries. It began with Augustine of Hippo in the 5th century during the Pelagian controversy, where he argued that faith is a free gift from God rather than something humans can choose, and that God’s justice is maintained even when some are predestined to salvation and others to damnation.

Before Augustine, Latin writers such as Tertullian, Hippolytus of Rome, Hilary of Poitiers, and Ambrose of Milan devoted little time to the topic, largely rejecting the pagan concept of fate and emphasizing free will.

Augustine’s shift marked a significant development, as he introduced the idea that God’s predestination is not arbitrary but just, based on foreknowledge of whether a person will repent or resist God.

In the medieval era, the doctrine continued to evolve. John of Damascus emphasized the freedom of the human will in his doctrine of predestination, arguing that acts arising from people’s wills are not part of God’s providence.

The Council of Arles in the late 5th century and the Second Council of Orange in 529 both condemned certain aspects of predestination, indicating ongoing debates within the Church.

Aubergine

Here’s how it makes sense to me. It’s kind of like what Carl wrote.

God exists outside of time, so he sees everything from the beginning to whatever the end is, all at the same time. Everything that ever has happened or will ever happen is visible to God right now, in this moment.

So every decision a human makes in their lifetime is known to God before they are ever born. Therefore He, who “works all things for good,” has already used our “free will” to manifest His plans. We do as we will, but the Creator of everything simply uses our actions to further His perfect plan. Sometimes I think that is as simple as putting someone who is obedient to His will into the way of someone who isn’t and is doing something God would prefer changed, thus altering the course of things.

God always has a way that is not our way.

pgroup2

 ☝

Robert Baker

I think there is another way of looking at your thesis that leads to a different conclusion. Take it as a given that your premise, that God exists outside of time and observes reality (past, present, future) all at the same time. Something like looking at a chain all in a single gaze. If we also take it as a given that humans enjoy free wilI, I could reasonably, I think, draw a conclusion that God’s Will adapts to the reality of what happens in time. In this way I can make God’s Will a reaction to the arc of history instead of the Prime Mover. If, counterpoint, God’s Will is unchangeably set by God Himself, then predestined outcomes necessarily follow. Even if we argue that, from the human perspective, it looks like humans have free will, it will not, in reality, be true.

I believe that third type of God’s Will has some inherent contradictions that would benefit from some debate to clarify what we mean by the terms used in our explanations. Such debates, though sometimes dry and confusing, will help to sharpen the argument.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

If, counterpoint, God’s Will is unchangeably set by God Himself, then predestined outcomes necessarily follow. Even if we argue that, from the human perspective, it looks like humans have free will, it will not, in reality, be true.

Indeed, following this logic, God knew, back before creation, that you would eventually exist, and about every single lustful thought or use of profanity you would ever have/do. That is a logical consequence of “omniscience.”

It also makes it difficult for God to change his mind…he would know beforehand he’d be doing so, so if he already knows what he’s going to change his mind to, why not just go with that in the first place? Of course you’ve already seen that; describing God’s Will being “unchangeably set by God Himself.”

Wolf Moon

Indeed, following this logic, God knew, back before creation, that you would eventually exist, and about every single lustful thought or use of profanity you would ever have/do. That is a logical consequence of “omniscience.”

Yes! Stick with me on this – it’s loose, but gets there.

This is where I have to try to get “time-free” from God’s presumed perspective. It may be that God has a level of causality that is “more free” than what we can even logically describe. Einstein always tried to preserve causality while getting loose with time and space. But if something creates (or always created, so to speak) “bubbles of reality” in which a lower degree of causality like ours exists, then not only does God have something beyond a limited “before” “during” and “after” knowledge of everything – there may be more which we simply cannot even visualize or compare to things we know (like dimensions).

A highly constrained subset of such solutions which is somewhat understandable by us would be something related to an expanded many worlds interpretation, which would imply that any view into a “created” (already problematic) or “always created” (less so) reality is really analogous to a point in an infinitude of infinitudes of infinitudes (continue infinitely) of universes. Translation – the assumed God hypothetically sees not just the infinitude history of this universe, but “super-infinite” universe-histories of choice, and thus is not constrained by any ideas such as “before” or “after” which are merely properties of this select point universe-history (which has “history”) where this I interacts with this you.

It also makes it difficult for God to change his mind…he would know beforehand he’d be doing so, so if he already knows what he’s going to change his mind to, why not just go with that in the first place? Of course you’ve already seen that; describing God’s Will being “unchangeably set by God Himself.”

Good point – a real defect of the small view of God, where “before”, “change”, “going to”, and “first place” have importance.

My problem becomes “why am I on this trajectory (bad word, but still) of possibility” through the super-infinite infinity of possible universes, itself a super-infinitely small point in possible universes with differences we cannot even imagine or describe? At that point, I either need a beer, or I don’t need the next one (“next” being enough to make me smile or give up, depending on my mood).

PS – I conjecture that God is more concerned with what might be described by us as “magic moments” in our universe, than with what we would describe as “outcomes” in our universe, that being only an infinitesimally small projection (somewhat visible to us) of larger purposes which deeply transcend any point universe or collection of them. Indeed, IMO it is a “privilege artifact” to even be able to postulate, even more to sense, any possible intersection of purpose with our universe.

pgroup2

So IOW, we cannot know His ways because then we would be His equals and He wouldn’t be God any more. 🤔

Wolf Moon

Pretty much. And that’s almost certain no matter what – even for a large but finite God, the latter being automatically wrong and self-contradictory, IMO.

Anything we might “know” of things outside of what is directly experienced or clearly in this universe, would have to be granted or permitted by the larger design (bear in mind that some highly respected scientists believe that this is not just logically possible but actually necessary).

As I often say, the problem is most often that believers don’t *really* believe in an infinite God, because we can’t understand it, and it’s uncomfortable to confront the idea of a God very, very unlike us or anything we know. We have a variety of attributes assigned to God already, many being somewhat anthropomorphic, but we have difficulty combining those ideas with something very, very unlike us.

TL;DR – Many people who choose to believe in God simply don’t lean on the full postulate of God, which is really, really, really YUGE.

An infinite God means infinite stuff. “Stuff” being infinitely ill-defined! 😂

Valerie Curren

This view of God & what you said just above appears highly compatible with the “multi-verse” concept, which I so enjoy in fiction. The idea that there are multiple versions of me, some of whom will also make it to Heaven in a “Multiplicity” scenario though seems a tad problematic unless we are also postulating seperate Heavens & therefore Hells for each “Earth” in the infinite Multiverse…hmmm

Wolf Moon

In many ways, a multiverse view of possibility creates more problems for human understanding than it solves, but IMO all those problems are downstream of the assertion of an infinite God, so if you’re getting on that boat, it’s already a guaranteed mind-blow.

Valerie Curren

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Dang it. I had a long reply here, and then I hit a wrong key and ended up highlighting the whole thing and deleting it in the blink of an eye. I see no trace of an “undo” open when writing a comment, so I guess I just have to suck it up.

Your response is totally nonresponsive to the point.

(And I’ll play “devil’s advocate” (ha!) for this and argue as if God exists though I will also describe myself as not believing it (which is the case).)

It simply doesn’t matter whether God knows what I (from my in-time perspective) am “going to do” because he is outside of time so he sees it all at once in glorious 4 D…or whether he’s along for the temporal ride and has perfect predictive capability. The problem is that he knows. I have no free will, and no choice in the matter.

Since it doesn’t matter which mode it is, I’m going to assume the “within time” mode; I’m not going to double-phrase everything t cover both contingencies.

God knew all of this all of the time (which would have to be effectively the case if he’s “outside of time” too). 13.7 Ga (or 6ka if you have a sudden attack of the Hams) he knew there would be a SteveInCO who wouldn’t believe he exists.

I’ve heard some Christians (and I realize this is a bit controversial) justify the “Eternal hell for nonbelievers” doctrine by claiming that a nonbeliever (or a believer in a false religion) chooses to go to Hell by refusing to believe, indeed prefers it even. [This is absurd on a couple of levels, and implicitly disregards the notion of non-belief and replaces it with “lying due to hatred” but I will leave that aside for now.]

The problem is one cannot force onesself to believe something, one must be convinced. [This is one of many issues with Pascal’s Wager. It is not in fact an argument for the existence of God but rather an argument for the prudence of forcing onesself to believe in God regardless of what one things the actual evidence is. (And even there it fails badly.)] God would of course know what it would take to convince SteveInCO of God’s existence, even if SteveInCO has no idea what it would be. Presumably something would be sufficient, otherwise God would have created a SteveInCO knowing all along that SteveInCO could go nowhere except to Hell. But even if there is something that would be persuasive…well, will SteveInCO ever see it? That’s totally up to God, a decision made either long ago or off to the side. If God doesn’t show it, we’re back to the prior situation, SteveInCO was created with the foreknowledge that SteveInCO would go to Hell. If God does show it, then all is good for SteveInCO. But what about all the nonbelievers (and believers in false gods) who don’t see that evidence? Remember, they have no choice; they will never be shown by God what they need to see in order to be saved, and (remember) God knows this all along.

An ominiscient God is completely incompatible with free will. Yet Christianity teaches both.

Gudthots

Your logic is irrefutable.
Wolf has tried to address the science/logic/meta issues.

I would just add my limited understanding of what the ancient orthodox monastics taught includes the concept that you can only learn about something by using the correct instruments to observe and make measurements related to the subject of study.

In the case of spiritual things, we read the words of Jesus, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

The monastic perspective (as I understand it) is that this informs us that the proper instrument for understanding God and his ways is a purified heart.

I’m not responding to your specifics, but just offering the thought that there is a “meta” that might require a different kind of tool to access.

Also, their teaching on the nature of hell seems to require more of a meta type perspective as well. If I try and explain it I will probably get it wrong and spark all kinds of off target discussion. So I will just offer the thought that there is a rich history of discussion on the nature of hell and the version you are describing is not as traditional as some others.

I know that there are Christians who believe Hell is full of, well, hellfire…and others who just think of it as eternally being isolated from God. (Obviously to me it’s just two distinct ways to be be wrong.)

Maybe wrong from your point of view, but perhaps internally consistent from a Christian point of view.

God is a consuming fire (He 12:29)Fire has a purifying quality (1 Pe 1:7) and those who desire purification pray for grace to accept fiery trials as part of the cost of pursing God.

These trials are only to test your faith, to see whether or not it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests gold and purifies it—and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold; so if your faith remains strong after being tried in the test tube of fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day of his return.

The unusual story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Dan 3:25-28) is often referenced in the Orthodox liturgy as “the fire was like dew.” An interesting perspective to say the least. The coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost was seen to be like a fire: “Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on their heads.” (Acts 2:3)I found this one sentence statement about the Orthodox Christian perspective on heaven and hell that sums it up pretty clearly:

Quite simply heaven or hell are defined by our relationship and attitude toward the consuming fire of God’s love.

It goes on to elaborate:

The Orthodox belief is that God is everywhere, present and fills all things. There is no place in creation of divine absence, not even in hell. In the next life, all will be eternally in the presence of the Almighty consuming love of God. (Exodus 24:17)

(ref: “what is hell?“)

hmmm…some of those traditional or Orthodox views appear to go a tad beyond what is laid out in scripture. Perhaps like the difference between Talmud (Rabbinical teachings, iirc) & Torah (God’s Law, etc as recorded by “Moses”). One is scripture & one is not…

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I don’t believe Orthodoxy is sola scriptura. That’s pretty much a Protestant thing.

Valerie Curren

OK TY This would likely be why people like me & Scott often but up against RCC etc. 🙂

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Yep, that’s exactly why. He sometimes goes on a “where’s the scriptural warrant” tear…and they just don’t care if there is or isn’t, Church tradition is what matters there–they’ll even go so far as to claim that the fact that you have the canon you have is because of church tradition.

Valerie Curren

Agreed 🙂

I don’t believe traditions of men should be on “equal” footing with the Word of God, but can loosely understand why certain people are drawn to faith (adjacent) practices long in use…

Not sure what we “agree” on. I’ve described the situation as I see it (and maybe you’re agreeing I’ve described it well?) but I take no sides. I think both sides have strong arguments within that frame of reference.

I know the canon wasn’t settled until the late 300s at the earliest. “It’s not in God’s Word.” “How do you know what is God’s Word? We told you!”

Valerie Curren

(and maybe you’re agreeing I’ve described it well?)” Yes

LOL on the last paragraph. I haven’t studied the “canon” process, but I Think it was bathed in prayer, May have required unanimous consent 😉 , & also needed every Book to point to Jesus, even allegorically, or something similar. I’m sure that were DP still with us she could school us all on it all 😉

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

What I do know about it was that the oldest writing we have where a church father lists off all of the books in today’s new testament, and ONLY those books was Athanasius in 369 AD (I may be off a bit on that number). He was one of the attendees of Nicaea in 326 (much younger obviously).

It’s certainly not the case that the new testament was written at Nicaea as some clowns will claim.

OTOH the canon hadn’t even been set by then, nearly three centuries after the crucifixion. So that’s why I have some skepticism towards sola scriptura as being the more sensible position. (Although, as I said elsewhere this weekend, both positions are, to me, different ways of being wrong.)

I have no doubt the process was attended by lots of prayer. That alone wouldn’t mean, of course, that it came out right (you’ve surely had things you prayed over not come out right; so that’s not an “atheist” observation).

Valerie Curren

Aubergine

For a God who is outside of time, and who IS eternal, any moment you are not “with Him” is eternity.

Robert Baker

An ominiscient God is completely incompatible with free will. Yet Christianity teaches both.

I will address only the conclusion of your argument. Your argument assumes something that is not necessarily accurate. Omniscience does not mean that previous knowledge is causality, even with respect to God. Knowing something does not make it happen. A simple example is that I know you are an atheist because you have confirmed it in your own comments. If you have read certain comments by me, you know that I am a Christian because I have said as much. My knowledge of you being an atheist and your knowledge of me being a Christian was not the cause of either of our declarations. In a similar manner God can know the details of your actions without being the cause.

I agree that the Bible teaches that human beings are created with the capacity to rebel against God’s Will, and the evidence is quite plain that they have in the past, and I can say confidently that they will in the future. The choice of what you choose to believe regarding God remains yours. I do not believe God will override that arrangement.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Your analogy unfortunately fails because it doesn’t address the factor of perfect knowledge not just of present circumstances, but also of the future.

Once one has perfect knowledge of what the future holds, there can be no free will. He can’t change it, because his knowledge of the future already includes the changes he would make. And certainly the poor schlub can’t change it either. That individual may be intent on a course of action and change his mind…but he was already expected to do so, because the omniscient being already knew he would do so.

Robert Baker

I disagree. Knowledge, even perfect knowledge of future events, is not causality. It does not follow that God knowing your actions and choices causes them to happen.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I don’t claim it causes them to happen, but they are known in advance and therefore nothing can happen to alter them.

Let’s say it’s known in advance that I’ll give $100 to a homeless man at 12:34 PM on June 3rd. I may have no intention of doing so right now, but God knows it will happen. I’ll end up changing my mind sometime between now and then. God already knows that I will do so. *I* can do nothing to alter what he knows will happen, even though I appear to myself to be exercising free will.

Ironically, even God can’t change the future away from what he already knows will happen, because again, he’d have known all along that the change would happen so there’d be no change for him to make.

If in my previous example God were to decide to interfere and make sure I only give $50 to the homeless man, well guess what? He knew yesterday he was going to make that decision, so it’s no surprise to him. He can’t truly change his mind.

Robert Baker

I don’t claim it causes them to happen, but they are known in advance and therefore nothing can happen to alter them.

Your claim is that because God sees it happen, the outcome is predetermined. Thus, your argument follows that there is no free will. My claim is that knowing what happens, it does not follow that the outcome was predetermined by God. Therefore, free will remains a possible cause. Free will can only be rejected if we assume God’s pre-knowledge determined the choice made.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Nope…you still don’t see the issue.

Probably a good thing.

Valerie Curren

In referring to the End Times there is a passage saying something like if God had not caused those days to be Shortened (from an originally intended/predestined longer event?) then no one would have survived…something like that…hard to reconcile but All of God’s Word is in play so seemingly contradictory passages need to be rectified.

We are ever, at best, seeing through a glass darkly!

Aubergine

God is not limited by our understanding. The multiverse is one explanation of what you are saying. Another would be that while you see yesterday and today and tomorrow as points in time, God doesn’t. What you did yesterday, you are still doing, and what you do tomorrow, you are doing right now.

I don’t think seeing God as having a “mind” to change is realistic, either. That’s a human concept.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

First paragraph, it’s absolutely irrelevant to my point whether God is outside of time or not. He knows what happens at (what we label as) some time in the future. In point of fact if he IS outside of time, then it’s even worse, that means the future exists just as much as the present or the past, and is immutable.

And to be honest Wolf’s talk about the multiverse made no sense. I know what it is; I have no idea how anything he said addresses the problem much less solves it.

Aubergine

It made perfect sense to me.

Wolf Moon

I disagree. Knowledge, even perfect knowledge of future events, is not causality. It does not follow that God knowing your actions and choices causes them to happen.

This is where I’m at, too, although I can see where Steve’s point both originates and has validity in a mono-universal view.

Assume that individuals have freedom of choice, yet God knows how they will choose, and all outcomes (the whole history of the universe, with God being outside time in the universe). As God has perfect knowledge of that universe and its history, even if the individual had some form of choice in that universe, God had creative control of all other aspects of the universe, and knows the results of the evolution of the universe WITH all degrees of all allowed freedoms.

One could argue that the universe could have been created differently to create different outcomes, but by God choosing not to do so, the allowed freedoms simply amount to loose parameters in God’s acceptable solution, which is the history of that universe. So – Steve’s disbelief is acceptable to God in this universe. And as this universe is the only one for which we have direct evidence, the acceptability of disbelief appears not only to be reasonable, but to be a necessary consequence. In other words, the freedom is not complete freedom as described as choice by religion – at least not in this universe. God’s priorities for this universe allow many to fall by the wayside.

IMO solutions in which freedom acts not within this universe, but between and across universes, makes sense, despite being profoundly hard to grasp, and entirely speculative.

Atheist Wolf is not here, and neither is Catholic Steve. But in an infinitely larger yet still infinitely small ensemble of universes, they could then exist, and God would presumably say the totality was good. But that is conjecture, and not Biblical.

TL;DR – I agree with you both, by virtue of thinking which is just conjecture, so add a big bag of salt, please.

Valerie Curren

 👍

Valerie Curren

I understand your reasoning (I think) & it makes sense. However I must point out the Book of Jonah where God told his prophet Jonah to go to Nineveh, I believe, & proclaim a coming destruction of judgement that was to fall on them. The people & their leadership believed Jonah (once he finally got there by way of a “fish”/whale?) & they repented & called on God & God relented or perhaps the term used here (it was definitely used of God at some point in Scripture) was repented of the “evil He would do” & spared that city.

Was God envisioning a multiverse knowing what destruction was coming but leaving an escape hatch for those who would turn toward Him in repentance? So hard to “know” for sure!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

There are plenty of places in scripture (OT especially) where God is shown apparently changing his mind. (If he actually did change his mind…well then not omniscient.)

One that comes to mind: Genesis 18:22-end of chapter, Abraham is negotiating God down on the number of righteous people necessary to save Sodom. Of course if God is omniscient he should already have known there weren’t enough, so it’s uncertain why he went through the whole exercise of discussing it with Abraham. (Actually there are plenty of places in the OT where God doesn’t behave as if he were omniscient, this is one of them.)

Valerie Curren

Interesting. I don’t think such passages “prove” that “God” is not omniscient. They do, however, challenge us in how we understand God & our ability to interface with Him. Re: Sodom I wondered if Abraham had bargained with God down to an even lower number of people of “righteous” in the city if then God might have spared that region from the fire & brimstone destruction that fell upon it.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

They don’t “prove” it but they do make no sense if God is omniscient. God knew the outcome of that negotiation all along, he also should have known how many righteous people were in Sodom without having to send his angels in, and could have used that info to negotiate: “See I can let Abraham push for ten because I know there are only two” but why bother with such a dog and pony show when you know you’re going to obliterate the place anyway?

Valerie Curren

Fair questions with no easy answers, but child’s play to God. I dare you to ask Him if He might reveal to you some insights on this. It Could blow your mind!

Aubergine

“God knew the outcome of that negotiation all along…”

But we didn’t. And God, for everything else that He is, is a teacher.

He often asks rhetorical questions of humans, to make us see something important.

Gudthots

I’ve seen this explained (see the book, The Shack for an interesting discussion on this).

God may choose, in a particular context/conversation to “not know” certain things in order to facilitate the relational engagement.

The earliest example would be God in the Garden of Eden, saying, “Adam, where are you?” He is certainly not asking because he doesn’t know where Adam is located.

A human example might be when my grandmother played games with us as children and sometimes “reduced” her playing skill a bit in order to allow us to enjoy the game and learn the skills needed to play better.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

The earliest example would be God in the Garden of Eden, saying, “Adam, where are you?” He is certainly not asking because he doesn’t know where Adam is located.

That’s another one I’ve seen cited. To read it in a vacuum you’d think God was superhero level, not omnipotent/omniscient. Or a parent looking for a wayward child…actually looking for that child, not just play-looking.

YES!

Valerie Curren

An ominiscient God is completely incompatible with free will. Yet Christianity teaches both.”

I think that God can know all things but not necessarily, or choose not to, cause all things.

Also man’s “free will” is not, imo, a direct scriptural teaching but rather implied in certain passages.

There are some verses that say, or imply, that only those who God draws are able to come to Him. It is spoken of as people who have eyes but do not see, have ears but do not hear, have hearts that are hardened so they do not receive what God desires to give them. I believe this is presented, at least sometimes, in the context of Jews who will not accept that Jesus is their promised Messiah, rather having come in a different manner & with a different mission than their teachings prepared them to accept they are not open to The Truth.

There is another passage in the NT where it’s talking about God making some vessels for noble purposes & some for ignoble ones. The implication there, as I recall it, would be that some noble ones are those that God “called” & “predestined” to follow after His Son. The ignoble ones were created for destruction…huh?

How is that compatible with John 3: 16 “For God so loved the world that He gave his only Begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life!”

Also elsewhere that God desires that All would be saved & come to repentance. How could that even happen if He created someone for destruction?

These are questions that have no (easy?) answers. Definitely God is way higher in His thoughts & motivations than we are.

“God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world might be saved” through His atoning death for the forgiveness of the sins of all humanity for all time so that those who choose to receive Him will live forever together in Paradise if they die “in Christ” with their sins covered, no taken away, by “the Lamb of God who taketh away the sins of the world”…

There is A Lot of mystery here & it’s good that we wrestle with these things as a team for none of us has the total picture or complete & perfect understanding of Who God is nor What He is actively doing in & through us in this mixed up world He loves & desires to completely save!

Your input, perched on the other side of the aisle, as it were, is invaluable! Thank you for speaking up & applying impeccable logic to these complex, seemingly contradictory, issues!!!

OK more seriously: SteveInCO may see that evidence before he kicks the bucket, or he may not. Certainly some people in similar situations do not.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

See my response to Steve – I basically repeated this in a way fewer people can understand! 😂 Nevertheless, the more sciencey terminology does have its charms!

Aubergine

I love your response, and thank you for “sciencing up” what I think. I don’t have the “background” to explain it in that way, but I DO have the capacity to understand what you wrote, mostly.

I think for most people, it is far easier to understand God in “timeline terms.” Even most pastors and writers never seem to touch on what omniscience (“all science” BTW, lol) really, truly entails.

Pondering this kind of idea takes up a lot of my “religious” reflection time. It has led me to believe deeply in all kinds of things that maybe other people wouldn’t agree with. I believe, for example, that the statement that “no one comes to the Father except through Me” must mean that everyone meets Jesus when they leave our timeline experience, period. Otherwise, how could all those people, who are “dead” to us but still alive to God, ever be with Him at all, if they were “born” and “died” before Jesus came into our timeline? Or if they were here later but never knew anything about Jesus at all?

And since everyone ever is still living to God, although dead to us, doesn’t that necessarily mean that God can be with them at any time He chooses? And what is “dead” anyway? Are we really ever dead, or are we just “somewhere else” and in His presence?

You can see this stuff rattles around in my head a lot. 🙂

Aubergine – you are not alone in these thoughts.
I long ago began to ponder the concepts of time vs eternity, “life” vs “death,” our body on this earth and our eternal “presence.”

Totally agree that everyone meets Jesus one-on-one when they leave this earthly timeline. It is Biblical: “every knee shall bow, every tongue confess” or “you called out Lord, Lord, but knew me not.”

The issues of God’s foreknowledge and/or our free will, are easier to wrap your mind around within the concept of a timeless eternity.

There are a lot of thoughts about all of this generated in my reflection times. Wish we could have a long conversation some day.

Or maybe our eternal selves have already had those long discussions… 😀

pgroup2

There’s a verse in Scripture that says [roughly] that God will forgive their sins by casting them into the sea of forgetfulness. I suppose that puts all-knowing in a different light.

Wow!

pgroup2

I must be getting old because I’m not remembering accurately. The concept of sea of forgetfulness is derived from Micah 7:18-20 and/or Psalm 103.

Aubergine

Lol! I like your last idea! That is a cool thought.

Barb Meier

I choose to share with you the following. I was about 11 years old, sitting on our very small back porch while my mom was working with other girls who were already part of a group called the Rainbow Girls. I think they were memorizing their parts for an installation. All of a sudden, it was like I was floating high in the back yard looking back on myself. It did not last long, but I remember it to this day.

What was that?

Valerie Curren

temporary out of body experience?

Wolf Moon

IMO (both scientific and religious) it was a temporary altered mental state which hints at many things related to consciousness, personification, intelligence, and perception of reality.

WHY it happened to you, I can only speculate (and I would tend to speculate about different aspects in different ways). However, I believe that such experiences are often, if not usually, very enlightening, grounding, and beneficial.

When what we might describe as “spiritual” can also be described in scientific terms, I personally do not find that the spiritual aspects are lessened – and that is the case here as well.

Barb Meier

Thanks for the insight, Wolf! I was just a kid sitting outside waiting until I was old enough to join my mom and the other girls in the room. I wasn’t upset or anything, just hanging out in nice weather.

Wolf Moon

I think for most people, it is far easier to understand God in “timeline terms.” Even most pastors and writers never seem to touch on what omniscience (“all science” BTW, lol) really, truly entails.

Yes! And I am surprised how well this works, to get people started. Once people can see the abstraction of the “God POV” as being external to time itself, typically by seeing time as a spacial coordinate (what works for science, works for religion), then they are well on their way.

I think we can thank science popularists who have explained relativity, for this public ease, TBH.

Pondering this kind of idea takes up a lot of my “religious” reflection time. It has led me to believe deeply in all kinds of things that maybe other people wouldn’t agree with.

This is OK, IMO. The concept of the Trinity is a good example of “truths supported by Biblical scripture, but not in the scripture per se”.

Based on what I know about the RCC studying other religions, I think there is a massive warehouse of such extra-Biblical thinking, in service of Biblical understanding, that stays private so as not to confuse the masses. And I trust them in this regard.

Learning about God and God’s will does not end with the Bible!

Infinity comes to the rescue here, as it does for the parable of the rich man and the eye of a needle. However, IMO Christ’s complete knowledge becomes apparent in what he does NOT say, because even after consideration of this finite life being compounded with infinite possibility for infinite forgiveness, infinite mercy, and infinite time (eternity), it is still imperative that we treat THIS LIFE as our only and final chance for redemption. Once I realized that importance, I knew perhaps as much as I can ever know, why Christ chose the words he did – and I felt infinitely blessed (undeservingly so) in that moment.

And since everyone ever is still living to God, although dead to us, doesn’t that necessarily mean that God can be with them at any time He chooses? And what is “dead” anyway? Are we really ever dead, or are we just “somewhere else” and in His presence?

Great questions!!! 💖

And yes, I agree. God is not only with everybody in all their nows, their pasts, and their futures – he could be with them “at once” and “separately” and in ways we cannot even comprehend. God by definition is not limited by dimensions of his own construction, particularly if free to “always have” designed things so.

The whole “what is dead anyway” question is more profound than you realize. Think how many scriptures Christ spoke on life vs. death, in paradoxical ways, and you KNOW he understood that idea perfectly in every one of those moments, at a level you and I are beginning, but just beginning, to comprehend. Suddenly his morality makes perfect sense – from beginning to end. It is a privilege just to think that thought one time!

Aubergine

What a great conversation we’ve had for a Sunday! Thanks, Wolf.

BTW … the ‘eye of the needle’ was not referring to a sewing needle. It was a gate in the wall of the city marketplace and it was the height of a man. It’s purpose was to keep the camels in while permitting easy ingress and egress to humans.

The camels very much disliked being made to stoop down to get through the needle and they would not do so on their own. So they didn’t have to be tied down in the city’s corral once the goods they hauled were unloaded. Yet people could move freely without concern that a camel might accidently get loose.

Gudthots

And that gate could be left open on the Sabbath without businessmen bringing goods into the city to sell on the day of rest. 😎

Nice, I heard that camels had to be unloaded to pass through “the eye of the needle” so it was a difficult process. I like your expansive thoughts here! 🙂

Wolf Moon

Thank you! I am in fact familiar with that point, and I find it highly poetic, and surely intended by Christ. Nevertheless, I’m going to go with “AND logic”, since such a thing would clearly be an analogy to the most restrictive case (an actual needle), with Christ knowing this, to make his point (about possibility in the face of seeming impossibility) greater by poetic analogy and ambiguity, so if a solution works for both by likewise asserting the infinite aspects of the Father, I’ll take it! 😅

I just tried looking to see if Aramaic had definite and indefinite articles, and couldn’t find an easy answer to the question.

I can imagine that the best translation of the statement would be “through the Eye of the Needle” (and note I’m treating it as a proper noun, too) if articles weren’t present.

Originally written in Greek (almost zero doubt of that though some hold out for the gospels being originally in Aramaic)…but Jesus would have said it in Aramaic (if he said it at all).

Not questioning “needle” but wondering if it should be “the needle” (or the needle’s eye) rather than “a needle”.

Incidentally if the source language uses the genitive case, either “eye of the needle” or “needle’s eye” is a valid translation; both serve the same function in English as the genitive does in other languages. (And I’m 95% confident Greek has a genitive case.)

Actually “genitals”, “genitive” and “Genesis” all spring from the same root.

Testify and testicle apparently do too. There’s a legend (now debunked) that in Rome men would grab their testicles as they swore an oath. However, it went the other way around; the word testicle came later; they were named such because they testified to one’s virility.

Latest post on Forgotten Side of Medicine addresses this:
https://midwesterndoctor.com

He’s saying a lot of key information. Some highlights:

Ivermectin doesn’t work against the newer mutations of the covid virus. This is per Dr. Kory and other on the ground doctor’s treating covid, They say it does work for vaccine injury, just not newer versions of virus in the wild.Fenben+ treatments are not as effective as people would like for many cases. For a small percent of cases, they work extraordinarily well, for some they don’t work at all (advanced bone cancer was named specifically). For the rest, who are also using a lot of other modalities, it’s hard to tell what effect, if any, the treatment is having
………………………………………………………

That was news to me, if it has been mentioned here previously, I totally missed it.

I went looking for the source at Midwesterndoctor.com, and found the following article:

Turbo Cancers and Alternative Cancer Treatments
Reviewing the reckless decisions that caused a carcinogenic injection to be given to billions of people
A Midwestern Doctor
May 24, 2025

It is a long article, what I have read so far is certainly interesting, but I did a word search to locate the info about Ivermectin no longer working on newer variants of Covid, and found it:

…………………………………
Note: highlighting his objectivity, while Pierre Kory was once the leading advocate for ivermectin to treat COVID, he no longer does as the newer variants don’t respond to it (whereas vaccine injuries do because the vaccines used the original spike protein).”
………………………………..

If this is true, it seems like this changes everything.

One of the only two known ‘cures’ for Covid is apparently no longer effective. I found no mention of HCQ or Hydroxychloroquine in the article, so I don’t know if HCQ is still effective, or not.

Am I just late to the party on this, or is the ineffectiveness of Ivermectin on new variants of Covid new information?

Seems like a pretty big deal, unless there is some other effective treatment to take the place of Ivermectin.

Wolf Moon

It’s news to me – and not something I would have expected, frankly. But Kory is a straight shooter, so it’s possible that the virus evolved to evade the mechanism by which IVM works.

But seriously – IVM was always an atypical antiviral, and just not that good, IMO.

Personally, I would like to see good studies showing ineffectiveness now.

TradeBait2

FWIW it was ineffective in treating my Type A flu in February.

It worked great to stop the COVID/Colds for me for a couple of years.

It helped along with Mebendazole in the Parasite Cleanse – different purposes though.

I am going with, “Evil doers in labs along with viral mutations change things for $200, Alex.”

Wolf Moon

Interesting theory, and not impossible. It matches my theory that Omicron was “shepherded” by white hat labs. We have strong evidence of black hat labs (or leaky klutz labs) regarding monkeypox and other viruses. Chess moves and blunders by secret labs is a strong possibility, IMO.

patfrederick

this looks like a good place to ask this question. how harmful can an exaggerated level of vitamin d be? recent bloodwork results showed my level was 120 and it should be 30?

cthulhu

That’s likely high. If you’re supplementing, you might want to tone it down a bit.

patfrederick

that’s what the doc said…mitigate your efforts…lol
just wondering how harmful it could be.

cthulhu

Oil soluble vitamins can be really honest-to-God toxic. You can die from eating shark liver (which contains vitamin A).

That said, people normally supplement vitamin A by ingesting Beta Carotene, which the body can convert to vitamin A as needed. If not needed, does not convert, excessive ingestion merely turns you orange.

Vitamin D isn’t as easy. Check out https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/expert-answers/vitamin-d-toxicity/faq-20058108 .

That said, a lot of the “should be” column in blood reports is nonsense. It is up to you to determine your own targets with advice from your doctor.

patfrederick

thank you! I’ve always taken a multivitamin and when cv hit, everyone was discussing getting some good sunshine for 15-20 minutes a day. here in the woods that’s not possible in winter and it’s much too cold to expose more than your face for brief periods of time, so we started taking d3 gummies. then hubby got pneumonia/cv and landed in the hospital which scared the crap out of me, so when he recovered and came home, we just kept taking them.
I have eliminated the gummies for now.

cthulhu

The sunshine thing is like beta carotene — it converts to the vitamin as necessary and it is nearly impossible to overdose. That said, you can overdose on vitamin D supplements.

patfrederick

thank you

pgroup2

So I could take mega-doses of Beta Carotene and when people looked at me funny, I could say …

I’m just a beta test.

120 is too high, but 30 is ridiculously low!

I aim for 90.

You may need to reduce the amount if you are taking supplementary D.

patfrederick

good to know, thanks!

Wolf Moon

Yes, I am seconding Aubergine. Thirty is ridiculously low. That is a hopelessly bad number – no therapeutic benefit – likely out of an out-of-date handbook. That’s what you need to barely clear “deficient”! So cut back some, but not too much.

If you have never had a problem with kidney stones or gout, then shooting for 90 is no problem!

patfrederick

thanks!

mollypitcher5

I knocked my vit e regimen off with my UTI issues after reading somewhere about the excessive E.

Wolf Moon

Yes! IMO E is much more of a problem than D, frankly, when things get into OD territory. I think it was all-cause mortality numbers that let Suspicious Cat in the door!

mollypitcher5

Wolf, I’m embarrassed, it was vit D that I stopped not E ! .Der…don’t know why I put vit E 🙃

Wolf Moon

So does Vitamin D have bad effects on UTIs? I need to read up on that.

Gudthots

Low D status is associated with higher risk of UTIs, but it has not been shown that increasing D status reduces risk. (Association, but not known if causation.)

It appears that the “normal range” blood level for Vitamin D is between 50 and 100.

Very high Vitamin D intake can result in nausea, calcium stones, weakness, and other signs of toxicity. Please see: https://www.drugs.com/vitamin-d.html

patfrederick

thank you.
how is Solas?

PAVACA

patfrederick
Thank you for asking.
Solas is doing OK. He goes back to the regular vet next week for a “status check” assessment of his wounds.
The wound on the back is healing. He will likely be taken off the clindamycin for the Staph infection that was found there (from the dog that bit him) next week. He’s taking mirtazepine ointment applied to his ear every day. The mirtazepine is acting as an appetite stimulant to help him eat. So far, this is working. He’s also taking a very small dose of Reglan twice a day to help stomach motility.
Yours Truly may have to go through the Animal Law attorney to get reimbursement from the person next door who is the owner of the German Shepherd that attacked Solas in my driveway. The bills for Solas’ care are almost $11K so far. The people next door have not contacted me in any way to ask about Solas, nor to offer to reimburse me for the vet invoices. Animal Control gave them my phone number when they went there to talk to them on after the attack.
There’s more going on which I won’t get into here. Suffice to say that I do not feel safe on my own property when I am outside, and that I will not take Solas outside for a walk on my own property until the situation is addressed.

patfrederick

good to hear he’s on the mend. I do not blame you for feeling the way you do!!
it’s unsettling to feel unsafe on your own property.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

$11K would be a significant hit.

I’d not be surprised if they don’t offer to pay. Even if their intent is good (which is doubtful, but follow along for a moment please), they might not believe they have it. (If they own a house (or co-own with a bank), they likely do have it, just not in liquid form.)

As for not feeling safe on your own property…that just SUCKS.

Wolf Moon

But also consider this. I think your level may be risky but OK.

Gudthots

When I was reading Kory’s article on toxicity (NOT) of chlorine dioxide, I found this chart interestingly included adverse events due to “vitamin D3.”

comment image

Ref article: Trial Site News’ Shameless Persistence: More Disinformation, More Damage (fun read)

It’s not common, but too much D25 does have adverse effects.

Following the Covid event, a lot of doctors began strongly promoting higher 25-D levels than have been accepted in the past. One theory for why they see benefit is that high 25-D acts similar to steroids, reducing immune activation and therefore reducing inflammation.

I personally prefer to test/track my 1,25-D serum levels (when I do tes) because that is more directly related to the hypervitaminosis D and hypercalcemia conditions.

If 1,25D is above the reference range (before everyone began supplementing) it indicates high inflammation in the body and mobilization of calcium out of the bones and into the soft tissue. A common follow-on effect is calcification of blood vessels, maybe bone spurs, and false positives for breast cancer. (Sorry, don’t have time to pull all the references, just sharing from memory.)

Brave a.i. says:

Vitamin D25 Test

Too much vitamin D, also known as hypervitaminosis D, can lead to health problems such as hypercalcemia, which is an excessive amount of calcium in the blood.

Symptoms of too much vitamin D include nausea, vomiting, poor appetite, constipation, weakness, and weight loss. The 25-hydroxy vitamin D test, also known as the 25(OH)D test, is the most accurate way to measure vitamin D levels in the blood.

This test can help determine if you have too much vitamin D in your blood.

If your test results show a level of 50 nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL) or more, it is considered too high and may cause health problems.

If you have high levels of vitamin D, your healthcare provider may recommend stopping vitamin D supplements to reduce your levels.

High levels of vitamin D can be harmful and may cause damage to your organs and blood vessels

It seems that Vitamin D blood level of 50 or above kept people from dying from Covid

Gudthots

As I understand it, one of the worst effects of Covid (spike) was excessive mast cell activation. High 25-D levels acts like a steroid, reducing immune activation, thus protecting from the excessive inflammation.

patfrederick

thanks!

kalbokalbs

No surprise, it is the first, Slow Guy read of this.

If true, my take is:

  • Since Covid is man-made,
  • Some biolab tinkered with Covid to make Ivermectin ineffective.
  • Then released the tinkered Covid variant, into the wild.

Until a better preventive comes along, weekly IVM happening. Hint of a bug, an extra Ivermectin dose.

  • Ivermectin prevention of Covid and whatever else I’m exposed to. Studies do support this.

FWIW, I still maintain HCQ and a few other goodies in my medicine bag.

:wpds_arrow: Some biolab tinkered with Covid to make Ivermectin ineffective.

Paging DoD, US IC and Chinee for comment.

Aubergine

I think this:

Ivermectin, whether or not it is effective against some current Covid virus, keeps your system free of parasites (which I believe are rampant in the population). THIS allows your own immune system to flourish, so that IT can more easily fight off any virus that comes along.

I do vitamin I periodically, and will continue to.

kalbokalbs

Thanks.

Aubergine

🙂

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

This makes a lot more sense than the implication some people made that Covid wasn’t a virus but rather was really a parasite since vitamin I seemed to help with it.

Wolf Moon

Yes!

There are fundamental pharmacological reasons for there to be a kind of residual Venn overlap between parasiticides and virucides. Parasiticides are more likely to be slightly effective than analgesics or other drug classes. It’s an obvious case of a logical fallacy to think that any low activity proves cause – particularly since, without a sound mechanism, the same thing is true at high activity, where it’s dangerous to assume a causative relationship solely on an activity.

Aubergine

Well, ivermectin does and did have some properties that made it effective against covid virus. I think it has to do with enabling zinc in a similar way to quercetin, maybe. And parasites do seriously affect the gut, where most most of our immunity comes from.

Gudthots

Ivermectin had more than 10 mechanisms of action last time I looked. Maybe more?

scott467

“It’s a damned cold.”

___________

It wasn’t like any cold I’ve ever experienced.

Maybe that has to do with my particular system or biochemistry.

IVM worked incredibly well in my system.

If Dr. Kory is correct, and IVM is no longer effective against current Covid, and current Covid is as damaging to my system as previous Covid, that is a problem I have to solve for.

I can’t just write it off as a damned cold.

I wish I could.

Don’t misunderstand; Covid sucked. It was brutal for me, too.

But it mostly seems like the only people dying from it had other medical problems, or the hospitals killed them.

The way I know is almost nobody appears to have died at home. If it was a true “pandemic,” people would have been expiring in their homes instead of in the hospital at the hands of “physicians.”

Do you have lingering effects from the original virus?

scott467

“Do you have lingering effects from the original virus?”

____________

I’m not sure if what might be a lingering effect is from the virus or unrelated, or related to one of the supplements I was taking.

In 2022, IIRC, I was having enough pain in my heart to drive myself to an emergency care clinic at shortly before 8pm.

The clinic closed early (I was there before 8pm), but the nurse was still inside. She opened the door, I explained why I was there and my symptoms. I felt like I was having a heart attack.

She told me she couldn’t help me, and recommended another emergency care clinic somewhere across town that was open later, and locked the door.

I found the other clinic eventually, and when it was my turn at the check in counter, the check in woman sounded very concerned, she thought I was probably having a heart attack, and they couldn’t help me, but her medical advice was that someone having a heart attack should drive himself to the hospital right away.

I went home instead.

Scheduled a doctor appointment and had an EKG or EEG done at my doctors’ office a couple days later.

The test results said my heart was perfectly healthy.

So I did some research on each of the supplements I was taking, and found that Quercetin could cause what felt like extreme heartburn.

I stopped taking the Quercetin (and the zinc I was taking with it), and a few days later, the heart pain mostly stopped.

The only lingering effect, besides occasional heart palpitations (if that’s the correct term), is that I can’t lay on my stomach with my head turned to the right, so that more than half my body weight is on my left side.

It feels like there is direct pressure on my heart, or at least where I assume my heart to be located. Diagrams seem to show the heart is located closer to the center of the body, but it feels like it’s closer to the left breast.

If I switch so that my head is turned to the left, and the majority of my weight shifts to the right side of my body, the pain in my chest goes away.

I don’t know what, if anything, is a lingering symptom, and if anything I described is a lingering symptom, whether it’s a lingering symptom of Covid, or of the Quercetin + zinc (which I haven’t taken since, and don’t know what a good substitute would be), or something else.

Besides the heart pain, I can’t think of any lingering symptoms that might be associated with having Covid.

And I can’t be sure I ever had Covid, because I never tested.

First, because the tests were inconclusive, something about cycles were intentionally too high (IIRC), in order to purposely cause false positives, presumably to boost Covid sickness data.

Second, because Elon showed that 3 consecutive tests showed 2 different results, further demonstrating that the tests were unreliable at best.

Third, because I wasn’t going to stick a swab up my nose to touch the blood-brain barrier with anything, much less a swab made in chyna (all the Covid test kits available in America were made in chyna, IIRC).

It made no sense to use an invasive procedure, when a saliva or ‘spit test’ would suffice, and saliva tests were being used in Australia.

I tried to import a saliva test kit from Australia, but they were not available for export, they were all used domestically.

So I was never tested for Covid, just guessed that I must have had it, based on the symptoms and severity.

And based in IVM curing it in less than 24 hours (except the lingering cough), each of the three times I was sick.

Last edited 20 days ago by scott467
Aubergine

1) If you are having heart symptoms, ALWAYS go to a hospital ER, never a clinic. They won’t treat you. Too much liability, bastards.

2) To get plenty of zinc, eat red meat. I eat beef 5-7 times a week. And zinc supplements are not good for everybody. My son can’t take them, either. As a zinc ionophore, instead of quercetin, try green tea.

3) If you want to know if you had Covid, you can have a blood antibody test. I never tested for the virus, either, but I had the blood test, and I have the antibodies (which I knew I would, but it shut the doctor up about the clot shot for me).

4) vitamin I will cure most coronaviruses, I believe. You might have had any one of those kind. Coronas are common cold viruses.

scott467

I guess I’m okay on the red meat, between lunch or dinner I have beef at least 7 times a week. Hamburger, steak and deli sliced roast beef, mostly.

Also a daily multivitamin, along with Vitamin C (buffered, 750mg) and Vitamin D3 (2,000 iu).

I can give green tea a try.

Next time I get blood tests, I’ll have the Covid antibody test done 👍

.

“vitamin I will cure most coronaviruses, I believe.”

I hope so!

.

“You might have had any one of those kind. Coronas are common cold viruses.”

Whatever kind I had, after about 10 days, I thought I was gonna die. It wasn’t like any kind of seasonal flu I’ve ever had before, it was all kinds of awful. PTSD level bad 😂

Bad enough that I will avoid being around large groups, including church, if Covid is going around, rather than risk catching it.

Too many church members go to church when they’re sick and should stay home — all that does is make the rest of the congregation sick.

I waited too long to take the IVM each time I was sick, but when I did finally take it, it was only about 16 hours before I felt noticeably better, and the next day I felt almost completely healed, except for the cough. All three times.

That seems like a much faster and stronger response to IVM than most people have, but very similar to my experience with antibiotics over the years.

I’ve been taking IVM once a week, since last winter began.

Didn’t catch anything this past winter, for the first time in years… since for as long as I can remember.

Thank you for the reply 👍🙂

Have you been checked for a hiatal hernia?

_____________

I have never even heard of a hiatal hernia, so I’m researching it now.

Thank you Rosa! 👍

Gudthots

A family member had chest pain more than once and each time was diagnosed with inflammation of the intercostal muscles. When these muscles (between the ribs) are inflamed they give you chest pain and usually you get to visit an ER, have a chest x-ray, get referred to a cardiologist for a work up and they come back with, it’s “just inflammation” not your heart.

Your symptoms could mean you have a rib out of place or the intercostal muscle issue, but they will ALWAYS want to rule out a heart problem.

scott467

Thank you for the ideas Gudthots, very helpful for looking into.

My regular doctor is not the curious type unfortunately, so it helps if I can self diagnose, to help get his gears spinning 👍😁

mollypitcher5

I surely don’t know but my brother has been sick with a nasty bout of covid for 2 weeks now. His wife aalso tested positive but no symptoms.
He’s also battling prostate cancer. The initial chemo appeared to help but his tests show it may be lingering so he’s already compromised..
Unfortunately he took every jab/booster and has had probably covid 4 or 5 times since it all began. I’m worried . This last go round they put him on paxlovid (sp?) which IIRC isn’t so great either.

PAVACA

mollypitcher5
I’m so sorry to hear about this.
PAXLOVID has at least a 30% “rebound COVID-19 infection rate.” Your brother was put on it very likely because Paxlovid is one of the “FDA-approved treatments” for a COVID-19 infection.
Paxlovid is a “combo drug” of TWO separate drugs that must be taken:
Ritonavir (used in treating AIDS), plus
Nirmatrelvir (an antiviral protease inhibitor)

PAXLOVID has serious adverse interactions with certain other medications. There is a BLACK BOX WARNING about this on the Package Insert for PAXLOVID. Please see below:

comment image

The Package Insert for PAXLOVID:
https://www.fda.gov/media/155050/download

Yours Truly is not a medical professional. On the other hand, she has researched and written about COVID-19 for over 5 years now.
One would, on this basis, recommend that your brother’s wife start taking
2000 mg Vitamin C daily
2000IU Vitamin D daily (or, alternatively, spend time in the sun and take Vitamin D-fortified orange juice plus 1 Viactiv calcium + Vitamin D chew daily)
25 mg Zinc daily
500 mg Quercetin daily
1 cup of Green Tea daily

One would also recommend that your brother speak to the medical professional who put him on PAXLOVID and ask that professional if they considered the risk/benefit of this drug given your brother’s current condition with prostate cancer. Also, if any other drug your brother is taking has any interactive potential with PAXLOVID.

mollypitcher5

Pavaca…thanks so much and a huge amount of what little I know about this cv travesty is in big part due to you and the Q tree at large.
My sister in law is a nurse and cannot seem to go outside the medical community mindset. I’ve suggested it all for years but…here we are and more importantly there he (my bro) he is..fighting for his health due to the blind devotion of big pharma/covid lies

mollypitcher5

FWIW..spoke to him today. He stopped the paxlovid. He said it made him feel worse and whatever he made him feel terrible must’ve been serious because my SIL told him to stop the medicine.
So, 2 weeks in ..went to mass this morning, felt “decent” but crashed by afternoon feeling lousy.
Anyway thought I’d mention that he’s off of it. Only took it 1 1/2 days

Wolf Moon

Good. Paxlovid is a horrorshow drug which uses a DEFECT in a second drug (an AIDS drug which would normally never be approved for widespread use) as a way to prevent metabolism of the first drug (the one with the actual antiviral activity).

The whole approach is totally bassackwards, IMO.

kalbokalbs

Best wishes for Bro.

“Serious question. Alluded to in one of my posts, last week.
Covid.

  1. Is Covid a serious problem these days?”

____________

I would guess that it’s no more or less a problem than it ever was.

For me, catching it was a serious problem. Three times.

Each time, I was eventually as sick as I ever remember being, until I took the Ivermectin. In each case, I recovered about 85% in less than 24 hours. Only the lingering cough remained for about another two weeks.

So when I got sick, it wasn’t like regular flu, it was much worse — and when I took IVM, in my system, it worked like gangbusters. Similar to (practically the same as) how my system responds very positively to antibiotics.

If it was not for IVM, I would almost certainly have ended up in the hospital.

Hospital is probably (might as well be) a death sentence for me, both treatment-wise and financially.

Without IVM, I would probably just be dead now.

So for me, Covid is a serious problem.

So long as IVM worked, it was a serious problem with a cheap and very effective solution.

If the cheap and very effective solution is no longer a solution, then I am back to serious problem.

Without solution.

Gudthots

Have you taken a look at the protocols developed by flccc? They changed their name to IMA (independent medical alliance) now.

https://imahealth.org/treatment-protocols/

The virus that kicked my butt this Spring was bad.
I have a pretty large bag of tricks, but I was concerned.

Methylene blue seemed important.
Using the protocol for dealing with MCAS towards the end seemed important.

  • See: Treating the spike, interview by Dr Campbell

scott467

I haven’t looked at their website in a while. Once I had what I thought was an effective solution, I didn’t have a need to stay on top of it like we did in the early going.

But I’m always trying to keep an eye out for posts like yours yesterday (thank you!), because if I see info like that anywhere, it will most likely be here 👍

I should have time to watch this video tomorrow, and I recognize Dr. Campbell from previous videos.

Gudthots

She goes over some valuable insights.

Because her clinic was already treating MCAS, her patients did fine getting through Covid. I found her treatment protocol very helpful during my bout with “whatever” this Spring.

She does talk about a product (aligned n.a.c.) that she is now using, but it’s expensive, slow to get (made overseas) and maybe not necessary for most people.

Uh…top diagram. It sabotages itself.

Using election data to question election data?

Considering that the map doesn’t account for population density. Once that’s factored in the bottom part makes perfect sense. And it makes perfect sense because the county by county map is also based on election data, just like the composition of congress is.

To really make the claim that elections are stolen, you need to compare their results to data about peoples’ preferences collected somewhere that is not a ballot box.

patfrederick

thank you professor

Mind you I DO think that honestly-held elections would change things a lot. (I’ve had a few things to say about fraudulent elections, and haven’t said all of them from behind this keyboard.)

The Gipper Lives
May 25, 2025 6:39 am

Prayer for Peace, Memorial Day, 2025 – The White House
BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A PROCLAMATION
Memorial Day is a sacred day of remembrance, reverence, and gratitude for the brave patriots who have laid down their lives in service to our great Nation. Throughout our history, brave men and women have been called to defend the cause of liberty on foreign shores in defense of our homeland. Their noble sacrifices are marked by flag-draped coffins and the silent sorrows of those left behind. We must never forget those who have given everything for our country.
America’s Gold Star Families — whose sons, daughters, wives, and husbands are among the honored — endure unfathomable heartache. Their loved ones selflessly gave everything to protect our sovereignty. They have our unwavering support, deepest gratitude, and highest respect. The lives lost in war serve as a solemn reminder of why we must pursue peace through strength.

We are eternally indebted to our Nation’s fallen heroes. On this solemn day, as we honor their sacrifice, the First Lady and I ask all citizens to join us in prayer that Almighty God may comfort those who mourn, grant protection to all who serve, and bring blessed peace to the world.
In honor of all of our fallen heroes, the Congress, by a joint resolution approved May 11, 1950, as amended (36 U.S.C. 116), has requested the President issue a proclamation calling on the people of the United States to observe each Memorial Day as a day of prayer for permanent peace and designating a period on that day when the people might unite in prayer. The Congress, by Public Law 106-579, has also designated 3:00 p.m. local time on that day as a time for all Americans to observe, in their own way, the National Moment of Remembrance.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim Memorial Day, May 26, 2025, as a day of prayer for permanent peace, and I designate the hour beginning in each locality at 11:00 a.m. of that day as a time when people might unite in prayer. I ask all Americans to observe the National Moment of Remembrance beginning at 3:00 p.m. local time on Memorial Day. I also request the Governors of the United States and its Territories, and the appropriate officials of all units of government, to direct that on Memorial Day the flag be flown at half-staff until noon on all buildings, grounds, and naval vessels throughout the United States and in all areas under its jurisdiction and control. I also request citizens to display the flag at half-staff from their homes for the customary forenoon period.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-fourth day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-five, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-ninth.
DONALD J. TRUMP

EACH DAY WE TAKE UP THE OFFENSIVE WEAPON OF THE WORD OF GOD – THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT – ONE VERSE OPENS THE DOOR TO THE CONTEXT OF THE CHAPTER MESSAGE

Verse of the Day for Sunday, May 25, 2025

“Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”

Philippians 4:11 (KJV)

COMMENTARY FOR PHILIPPIANS 4

(10-19) “It is a good work to succour and help a good minister in trouble. The nature of true Christian sympathy, is not only to feel concern for our friends in their troubles, but to do what we can to help them. The apostle was often in bonds, imprisonments, and necessities; but in all, he learned to be content, to bring his mind to his condition, and make the best of it. Pride, unbelief, vain hankering after something we have not got, and fickle disrelish of present things, make men discontented even under favourable circumstances. Let us pray for patient submission and hope when we are abased; for humility and a heavenly mind when exalted. It is a special grace to have an equal temper of mind always. And in a low state not to lose our comfort in God, nor distrust his providence, nor take any wrong course for our own supply. In a prosperous condition not to be proud, or secure, or worldly. This is a harder lesson than the other; for the temptations of fulness and prosperity are more than those of affliction and want. The apostle had no design to urge them to give more, but to encourage such kindness as will meet a glorious reward hereafter. Through Christ we have grace to do what is good, and through him we must expect the reward; and as we have all things by him, let us do all things for him, and to his glory.”

Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

RESCUE ME

Angel of the Lord stay with me tonight
Help me to endure till the morning light
When the soldiers arrive to help me flee
Thru the maze of the tunnels and be free

Rescue me from this horrific plight
From the daily pain help me take flight
Take all of the babies heaven bound
No more suffering the terror sound

Let silence bring peace from abuse
And nightmares cease to induce
Memories of frightful occurrences
Bring forth the mighty deterrences

Sweet Jesus come and comfort me
Let nothing that hurts come to be
Let no one touch me unnecessarily
Bring forth the soldiers militarily

Let this be the last horror I see
Come quickly Lord and rescue me
Get me out of the oppressors way
Guide me out of the tunnels today

Take me to freedom into the light
Take me far from the oppressors sight
Bring me into the open arms of love
Follow the Angels sent from above

Thank You for ending my agony
Thank You for setting me free
Thank You for so caring be
Thank You for rescuing me!

BLESSED ARE YOU

Amen – Amen – I say unto you;
Gather together I am with you;
Remember what – for you – I have done;
To ensure you and I live forever as one!

Blessed are you who are poor in spirit;
The Kingdom of God is yours – albeit;
Blessed are you who mourn – in your hearts;
Sweet comfort for you – My Spirit imparts!

Blessed are you who are meek – and lowly;
For you shall inherit the earth – most wholly;
Blessed are you who hunger and thirst;
For righteousness you will be filled and first!

Blessed are you who are merciful – and kind;
Mercy shall be yours – so keep that in mind;
Blessed are you who are purest in heart;
For you will see God from the very start!

Blessed are you who strive to make peace;
As children of God – your joy will not cease;
Blessed are you who are persecuted for right;
The Kingdom of Heaven will be in your sight!

Blessed are you who men revile and persecute;
Relentless for My name’s sake they prosecute;
Saying in all manner of evil you’re defiled;
I will exalt you – you’ll not be beguiled!

Blessed are you who have suffered for Me;
For great your reward in Heaven will be;
As prophets of old suffered greatly as well;
Like them, you profit – your riches will swell!

Be not dismayed – there is right judgment;
Be not distressed – for any begrudge meant;
Know that I see what is hidden from sight;
As in the last days, it is I who is light!

Blessed are you who are faithful and true;
I am He who can see the good that you do;
Truly you are – blessed and holy you be;
Living in paradise – someday with Me!

One: Well, wouldn’t you know, all of a sudden, just as the HHS / FDA / CDC “might” be getting something of a handle on the COVID-19 mess, especially as regards COVID-19 “vaccination” — THIS shows up:

“BREAKING — WHO TAG VE Risk Evaluation for SARS-CoV-2 Variant Under Monitoring: NB.1.8.1”

Two: Scott Adams, very sick with Stage 4 prostate cancer, drags Dr. William Makis (a champion of IVM / FenBen alternative treatment) through the mud:

https://makismd.substack.com/cp/164420584

Yours Truly: Apparently, Mr. Adams asked Dr. Makis to “help him out” regarding using IVM / FenBen to treat the prostate cancer. If I’m reading correctly, Mr. Adams did not continue with the treatment. There were other issues involved also. However, it appears that Mr. Scott has dragged Dr. Makis’ name into the mud over the situation.

Last edited 20 days ago by PAVACA

From what I read, it seems Scott Adams tried the protocol for about a month and a half, about half as long as it would need to even start to show results. The other interesting factor is that Adams did NOT name the oncologists who have failed him, or any other doctor.

While I DO NOT wish Scott Adams any harm, I am not nearly so impressed with him as many seem to be. He has always appeared to be very arrogant to me, and like so many brilliant people, stubborn and unable to believe others might know something he does not.

It’s ironic for him to say that Makis sets off all his “red flags” for fraud, yet he bought into the Fauci and Co. Death Shot no problemo.

Sometimes people are too smart for their own good.

If I were very conspiracy-minded, it would strike me as exceedingly odd that Adams announced the same cancer as Joe Biden, on the same day. And then he trashes Makis’s non-conventional medicine protocol. AND he suddenly isn’t dying maybe, because he got some new treatment that upped his odds from 0% to 30%. All very strange. But far be it from me to think some genius-weirdo might be running some kind of game on us all.

I believe you are right about his inability to see himself and others clearly. He thought medical MJ was going to be helpful. He married someone quickly. I’m thinking he’s being handled.

Greenland Awards Mining License to European Group, Rejects U.S. Engagement

  • Greenland granted a 30-year mining license to Greenland Anorthosite Mining (GAM), a European partnership, to extract anorthosite for fiberglass and aluminum production, prioritizing European investment over U.S. offers.
  • U.S. interest in Greenland’s resources, including Donald Trump’s 2019 purchase proposal, has not led to significant investments, while European partners have made progress with permits and funding.
  • GAM faces challenges such as securing additional investors, balancing environmental regulations, and overcoming financial hurdles to position the project as a sustainable alternative to bauxite mining.

Despite the awarded license, the project faces significant obstacles. GAM will need to secure additional investors to fund construction and operations. Financial challenges have previously stalled similar mining initiatives in Greenland. Additionally, the company aims to position its project as an environmentally sustainable alternative, which will require balancing economic growth with environmental regulations and continued cooperation with Greenland’s government.
https://www.thedupreereport.com/2025/05/greenland-mining-investment/

IMO a political move by the Danes and Greenland that will more than likely never get any traction because of finances required to meet their nonsense ‘environmental regulations’.

Stephen Miller
@StephenM
I’ve seen a few claims making the rounds on the Big Beautiful Bill that require correction.

The first is that it doesn’t “codify the DOGE cuts.” A reconciliation bill, which is a budget bill that passes with 50 votes, is limited by senate rules to “mandatory” spending only — eg Medicaid and Food Stamps. The senate rules prevent it from cutting “discretionary” spending — eg the Department of Education or federal grants. The DOGE cuts are overwhelmingly discretionary, not mandatory. The bill saves more than 1.6 TRILLION in mandatory spending, including the largest-ever welfare reform. A remarkable achievement.

I’ve also seen claims the bill increases the deficit. This lie is based on a CBO accounting gimmick. Income tax rates from the 2017 tax cut are set to expire in September. They were always planned to be permanent. CBO says maintaining *current* rates adds to the deficit, but by definition leaving these income tax rates unchanged cannot add one penny to the deficit. The bill’s spending cuts REDUCE the deficit against the current law baseline, which is the only correct baseline to use.

Another fantastically false claim is that the bill spends trillions of dollars. This is just completely invented out of whole cloth. This is not a ten year budget bill—it doesn’t “fund” almost any operations of government, which are funded in the annual budget bills (which this is not). In other words, if this bill passed, but the annual budget bill did not, there would be no government funding. Under the math that critics are using, if we passed a one paragraph reconciliation bill that cut simply 50 billion in food stamp spending, they would say the bill “added” trillions in spending and debt because they are counting ALL the projected federal spending that exists entirely outside the scope of this legislation, which is of course preposterous. The only funding in the bill is for the President’s border and defense priorities, while enacting a net spending cut of over 1.6 TRILLION dollars.

The bill has two fiscal components: a massive tax cut and a massive spending cut.

They keep asking her questions every day she said (i believe cognitive testing) and she always replies–i told you this yesterday, don’t YOU remember? (LOL)

EVENING PRAYERS

Prayer For Grace At The End Of The Day

Heavenly Father, as the day is drawing to its close I ask that Your continued love and presence be with me and with all that are Your children in Christ. Guard us through the long hours of darkness this night I pray, and keep us safe from all harm and dangers that may try to cross our threshold.

Give us, I pray, an untroubled night of rest and quietness of heart. May we be refreshed and renewed in body, soul and spirit as we rest our weary hearts in You through the hours of the night.

Lord, I pray that by Your great grace and mercy, You would grant us untroubled sleep so that we may rise up in the morning strong to do Your bidding. May we all rejoice for the dawn of a new day, knowing that Your mercies are new every morning. In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Prayer Of Reflection On The Past Day

Loving Lord, as the day is coming to an end, I want to thank You for being with me in all that has taken place today. I also want to lay the whole day before You, asking that you would show me if there is anything that I have done to hurt or harm another person unknowingly, or if I have done anything that is displeasing in Your sight, or quenched the work of the Spirit in me, so that I may turn away from such things in the days that lie ahead.

Lord, I desire to do Your will in all things. I pray that You would cleanse me of any wrong thoughts or attitudes that may have surfaced in my heart today. Wash me in Your cleansing flood, I pray.

Thank You, that You are a God who forgives our transgressions when we are willing to confess them to You, knowing that such cleansing before You immediately draws us back into sweet fellowship with Yourself.

Give me a good night’s rest I pray, and may I rest quietly in Your loving arms in the knowledge that in Christ, I am eternally secure, due to Your amazing grace, for which I praise You. In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Prayer Of Thanksgiving In The Evening

Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.

My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.

Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord

I pray that You would watch over me as I rest tonight, and that You would give me a restful night’s sleep so that I may wake up in the morning refreshed in body and spirit and ready to do Your will. Guard all those that I love and may we all grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ in the days that lie ahead. This I ask in His precious name,

Amen.

Johnson’s statement on medicaid
FTA
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that there were “more than 1.4 million illegal aliens on Medicaid.”
Johnson said, “We are not cutting Medicaid in this package. There‘s a lot of misinformation out there about this.”
He continued, “The numbers of Americans who are affected are those that are entwined in our work to eliminate fraud, waste and abuse. And what do I mean by that? You got more than 1.4 million illegal aliens on Medicaid. Medicaid is not intended for non-U.S. citizens. It‘s intended for the most vulnerable populations of Americans, which is pregnant women and young single mothers, the disabled, the elderly. They are protected in what we‘re doing because we‘re preserving the resources for those who need it most.”
Johnson added, “You‘re talking about 4.8 million able-bodied workers, young men, for example, who are on Medicaid and not working. They are choosing not to work when they can. That is called fraud. They are cheating the system. When you root out those kinds of abuses, you save the resources that are so desperately needed by the people who deserve it and need it most. That‘s what we‘re doing.”

chyna is mining Helium-3 on the dark side of the Moon.
.

litenmaus

A significant “reservoir” of Helium-3 was discovered in our neck of the plains a couple of months ago. I haven’t seen anything in the media on the discovery….funny that.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Are you absolutely certain that that is helium THREE in particular and not just helium?

Because I’d love to know how that happened, if it is indeed He-3.

litenmaus

I only heard about from a local, and he said THREE and went on to list how important the discovery was. :0) So, no, I’m not certain, just restating what I was told.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

a significant reservoir of helium 3 as opposed to helium four would be a game changer for sure, and I mean in the sciences. There’s basically no obvious way He-3 should be around on Earth except in trace amounts, because none of it should have stuck around when Earth was formed. whereas He-4 is much more plentiful not because it stuck around–it didn’t–but because it’s produced by radioactive decay.

The reason the moon has some He-3 is it captured it from the solar wind. (He-3 is relatively plentiful in the sun and outer gas/ice giant planets.)

litenmaus

I will see if I can find out anything to confirm or dismiss what I was told Steve, however, it might take me a while to find someone with scientific info on the discovery. I’ll do my best.

Aubergine

How did they find it? Did everybody in the area suddenly start talking like Minnie Mouse?

litenmaus

LOL….Haven’t heard any Minnie voices. I’m not sure how they found it, but there’s a bunch of non-accessible lands owned by the government and it was found on that property. Nothing printed in local or state news and with that kind of silence, I have to think the government was probably involved in the find.

Aubergine

I’m sure you are correct.

Low Key Update:

Josiah & I are both very thankful to be home again. We are both very tired & sometimes just drop off to sleep at random times. We have intermittent appetites & were thankful for some food dropped off by his wife & in-laws last night as they’d promised to “cook for us” once we got home & Michael was out of town over the weekend.

Michael & J’s twin Brandon left yesterday about 7 am to check out my dad’s Northern Michigan properties. They went by the Shack/Luzerne Hilton (name of that shack when Dad & his late hunting buddy Clyde acquired it) area & were pleased to discover both buildings had survived the recent storms without damage.

The Hilton has some minor exterior damage from being chewed on by some animal. Our dog Jules scared up a porky & got hit again but thankfully not as badly as before, a couple years back. They got most of the quills out except some very small ones in her gums. Michael was so pissed that he became Seven (minus one) of Nine with an item that miraculously appeared on his hip after having been long lamented in its lake bed grave 😉 😉 Five of Nine were insufficient to finish off the vagrant so Six deployed LOL

They made their way further North to Dad’s Cottage in Gaylord. We knew of some storm damage to the sleeping porch roof per reports of a neighbor & a couple of pictures. M was assessing the damage and going to attempt repairs. Part of the roof was sagging, which wasn’t obvious in the pics we’d seen so he was jacking it up & potentially going to reinforce the rafters or something. There is some damaged siding that’s he’s going to use a rubber mallet to attempt to straighten out.

They got the water system going, at least inside, with minimal issues–thankfully! Clarissa & Lillian left later than the guys & went straight to Gaylord so she & B were working on the yard as Michael worked on repairs. We usually do a Big Leaf Production on the Memorial Day trip but they were going to be much more low key & not haul multiple loads of bagged leaves to the yard waste portion of the municipal composting, etc. area. They have moved the bulk of the fallen branches near the firepit & I guess are raking leaves into the garden area on the lake side of the Cottage & the wooded zone beyond the firepit on the other side of the property.

They plan to return home tomorrow as B & C want to participate in a photo gathering session w/ cousins for creating displays for the funeral.

Just got off the phone w/ the Gaylord family AND they’ve done 48+ man hours on clean-up & repair at the Cottage, so far–yikes!!! The neighbor a few properties up the road had TEN trees come down hitting neither dwelling either side of the street. The neighbor directly across the street had a huge pine snap in two with the upper portion landing on the shed between 2 dwellings. One of its limbs Might be what caused our porch roof damage. The lake side of our place had a 5 inch diameter limb miss the steps out from the dining room door my brother installed 2 decades ago by inches. The neighbor between our place & the lake lost Every Maple on another property he has in the area. Another friend had 75 trees down on his 3/4 acre property and took out 100 loads of wood over several weeks. This same area of Gaylord was devastated by tornados a few short years ago–Just Wow! We are very thankful our property was mostly spared PTL!

pgroup2

Considering Michigan weather, I would not have ‘took out 100 loads’ of wood. I’d have stockpiled the wood instead.

No doubt!!!

More on the suppressor situation. From the Constitutional lawyer, it sounds like the Trump DoJ is doing the right thing, it’s strategery
.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Oh boy the rambler again.

scott467

I know you don’t like him 😂

But he is an actual Constitutional attorney, who specializes in 2nd Amendment law and is a member of the (not)SCOTUS bar (whatever that is), so he is capable of providing certain insights that many of the other pro-2nd Amendment yootoobers don’t have.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Which is fine, I just wish he’d get on with it.

Of course that might make his videos only 2 minutes long.

Gudthots

All the better for those of us that don’t have patience for the video format.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I have plenty of patience with the video format. When it contains content relating to the subject I’m clicking to read about.

Every time I’ve tried to watch one of this guy’s videos it starts out with at least five minutes of self promotion, preaching old stuff to the choir, and I wonder just when exactly he is going to get to the fucking point.

That’s the sort of games where I lose patience with the video format, and for that matter with the print format too, when it’s present there. The difference is it’s easier to skim print looking for the meat, than it is to skim a video of a talking head. Blbabbing…still blabbing…nope still blabbing. Blabbing looks the same as delivering substantive content so I can’t skim and look for it.

Gudthots

The difference is it’s easier to skim print looking for the meat, than it is to skim a video of a talking head.

That’s mainly the issue.

scott467

You replied about the tax stamp issue recently, this video seemed to address that subject, and I hadn’t seen it covered on this particular angle yet.
