Is Zechariah 12:10 a Messianic prophecy?
Zechariah 12:10 reads, “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.” This prediction, that Israel will see someone whom they “pierced,” is amazing because it is God Himself speaking—the Lord is the One who is “pierced.” This appears to fit later descriptions of Jesus Christ’s suffering. Indeed, the New Testament specifies that this prophecy is truly Messianic.
This verse indicates a future time when the Jewish people will plead for the mercy of God. This will happen when they see “the one they have pierced.” Zechariah’s verse is mentioned in John 19:36-37 when Jesus, hanging on the cross, was pierced with a spear: “These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: . . . ‘They will look on the one they have pierced.’” Revelation 1:7 adds, “Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him”—definitely an allusion to Zechariah 12:10. Isaiah 53:5 also predicts that the Messiah would be pierced: “But he was pierced for our transgressions.”
In addition to the idea of a “pierced” God is the concept of the “only child.” Zechariah’s mention of a “firstborn son” bears an unmistakable connection to Jesus as God’s Son. The Hebrew word bekor was translated in the Septuagint as prototokos, the same term used for Jesus in Colossians 1:15: “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn [prototokos] of all creation.” And, of course, there is John 3:16, which includes a reference to Jesus as God’s “one and only Son.”
This Messianic prophecy has not yet been completely fulfilled. Jesus has been “pierced,” but there will still be a future time when all of Jerusalem will see Him and mourn their ill treatment of Him. At that time, they will cry out to God for mercy, and He will answer them by saving them from their enemies: “On that day the LORD will shield those who live in Jerusalem. . . . I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem” (Zechariah 12:8-9). These events will occur at the end of the tribulation period at Christ’s second coming.
In summary, Zechariah 12:10 predicts the piercing of the Son of God, the Messiah, fulfilled at the first coming of Jesus Christ when He died on the cross and was pierced by a spear in His side (John 19:36–37). The complete fulfillment of this verse awaits the last days when the Jewish people will plead for mercy from the One they have pierced.
Romans 11: 25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written:
“The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27 And this is my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”
Will all Israel be saved in the end times (Romans 11:26)?
Romans 11:26 plainly says, “All Israel will be saved.” The question that arises is: “What is meant by Israel?” Is the future “Israel” literal or figurative (i.e., referring to the ethnic Jews or referring to the Church)? Those who take a literal approach to the promises of the Old Testament believe that the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will be restored to a right relationship with God and receive the fulfillment of the covenants. Those who advocate replacement theology basically affirm that the Church has completely replaced Israel and will inherit God’s promises to Israel; the covenants, then, will be fulfilled only in a spiritual sense. In other words, replacement theology teaches that Israel will not inherit the actual land of Israel; the Church is the “new Israel,” and ethnic Israel is forever excluded from the promises—the Jews will not inherit the Promised Land as Jews per se.
We take the literal approach. The passages that speak of future Israel are difficult to view as figurative for the Church. The classic text (Romans 11:16–24) depicts Israel as distinct from the Church: the “natural branches” are the Jews, and the “wild branches” are the Gentiles. The “olive tree” is the collective people of God. The “natural branches” (Jews) are “cut off” the tree for unbelief, and the “wild branches” (believing Gentiles) are grafted in. This has the effect of making the Jews “jealous” and then drawing them to faith in Christ, so they might be “grafted in” again and receive their promised inheritance. The “natural branches” are still distinct from the “wild branches,” so that God’s covenant with His people is literally fulfilled. Romans 11:26–29, citing Isaiah 59:20–21; 27:9; Jeremiah 31:33–34, says:
“And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: ‘The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.’ As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.”
Here, Paul emphasizes the “irrevocable” nature of Israel’s calling as a nation (see also Romans 11:12). Isaiah predicted that a “remnant” of Israel would one day “be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the LORD” (Isaiah 62:12). Regardless of Israel’s current state of unbelief, a future remnant will in fact repent and fulfill their calling to establish righteousness by faith (Romans 10:1–8; 11:5). This conversion will coincide with the fulfillment of Moses’ prediction of Israel’s permanent restoration to the land (Deuteronomy 30:1–10).
When Paul says Israel will be “saved” in Romans 11:26, he refers to their deliverance from sin (verse 27) as they accept the Savior, their Messiah, in the end times. Moses said, “The Lord your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live” (Deuteronomy 30:6). Israel’s physical inheritance of the land promised to Abraham will be an integral part of God’s ultimate plan (Deuteronomy 30:3–5).
So how will “all Israel be saved”? The details of this deliverance are filled out in passages such as Zechariah 8—14 and Revelation 7—19, which speak of end-times Israel at Christ’s return. The key verse describing the coming to faith of the future remnant of Israel is Zechariah 12:10, “I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.” This occurs at the end of the tribulation prophesied in Daniel 9:24–27. The apostle John references this event in Revelation 1:7. The faithful remnant of Israel is epitomized in Revelation 7:1–8. These faithful ones the Lord will save and bring back to Jerusalem “in truth and righteousness” (Zechariah 8:7–8, NASB).
After Israel is spiritually restored, Christ will establish His millennial kingdom on earth. Israel will be regathered from the ends of the earth (Isaiah 11:12; 62:10). The symbolic “dry bones” of Ezekiel’s vision will be brought together, covered with flesh, and miraculously resuscitated (Ezekiel 37:1–14). As God promised, the salvation of Israel will involve both a spiritual awakening and a geographical home: “I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land” (Ezekiel 37:14).
In the Day of the Lord, God will “reclaim the surviving remnant of his people” (Isaiah 11:11). Jesus Christ will return and destroy the armies gathered against Him in rebellion (Revelation 19). Sinners will be judged, and the faithful remnant of Israel will be set apart forever as God’s holy people (Zechariah 13:8—14:21). Isaiah 12 is their song of deliverance; Zion will rule over all the nations under the banner of Messiah the King.
A bit of advice when dealing with this subject: don’t forget that Scripture is given/spoken/written using words that apply in both the spiritual realm and the physical realm. This makes Scripture naturally ambiguous, which can lead to intense disagreements among the believers. [2 Timothy 2:14-19]

Strong Memorial Hospital of the University of Rochester is named. When they were thru with the radiation experiment and fired her brains they then went on to use her in the early Chemotherapy experiments and stopped her heart.

Another first cousin of Yours Truly, a cousin who served in Viet Nam, came back to the States after being exposed several times to Agent Orange. He was never the same. His fiancee broke off their engagement. He never married. He wasn’t able to do more than a desk job. He took antidepressants for years. He lived at his family home outside Pittsburgh, taking care of his parents. I don’t know if he is still alive.
So sorry to read that, PAVACA. I have known such folks as well. I used to sit with a veteran at the ALC where my mother-in-law was located and talk about the effects it had on him. Still have a service uniform hat he wore he wanted me to have. He took his life. He had faked taking a bunch of meds over a month or so, hid them away, and took them all as he went to bed one night. He could not take it any longer.
He knew the Lord and the Bible inside out. But his mental state was in total disarray from the effects of that crap.

CVS got nailed for $289.9 million in Medicare fraud. That is not a typo. Two hundred eighty-nine point nine million dollars stolen from taxpayers and patients by a company that already makes billions.
The case came from Sarah Behnke, a former Aetna actuary who blew the whistle in 2014. She exposed how CVS manipulated Medicare Part D drug prices. They fed inflated numbers to the government while pharmacies got paid less. CVS kept the difference. That scheme went on for years while patients rationed pills, begged for assistance, and buried loved ones.
Judge Mitchell Goldberg tripled the damages to $285 million under the False Claims Act and slapped on another $4.9 million in fines. He ruled the fraud was deliberate, financially motivated, and not a mistake. CVS argued $95 million was plenty of punishment. That argument alone tells you everything about corporate arrogance.
CVS now vows to appeal. Of course they do. Why admit guilt when you can burn another decade in court? The lawyers will bill millions. The executives will keep their bonuses. The patients who paid the real price will stay dead, broke, or broken. Justice delayed is not justice. It is corporate strategy.
And this is not an isolated case. Just last month, CVS’ Omnicare unit was ordered to pay $948.8 million for fraudulent billing. Add it up. Over $1.2 billion in penalties in thirty days. That is not bad luck. That is the business model.
Every one of those stolen dollars could have covered chemo, mental health care, or hospice. Instead it padded quarterly earnings. Fraud is profitable until someone fights back, and the people who fight back face retaliation, blacklisting, and years in court. Sarah Behnke risked her career to tell the truth.
Most never speak up because they know what happens when you cross a company this big.
The judge wrote that CVS broke Medicare’s trust and by extension the public’s trust. Translation: the system is rotten. When the government relies on corporations to tell the truth and they lie for profit, we are all screwed.

We have now found out that most of the insurance companies in our area will no longer insure homes with solar panels on them due to damage to roofs, potential leaking, and possible storm damage. It is going to make selling our home incredibly hard and we may potentially have to pay them off in full, remove them, and then re-roof our home.
Do NOT buy solar panels.
We learned the hard way.
Listened to a couple solar panel goofs pitch their line of bullshit.
It would have literally been the dumbest thing I could do to my home.
AND
The worst expenditure of ~$40K.
Never to be recouped. Zero ROI, when I ran the numbers myself.

This scam is old. It took several decades to take root. BIMD (there he goes again 😀) wifey and I were shopping around for a house to buy as were getting married in a few months (1985). There was one for a sale in a neighborhood we liked in the area we still live. I noticed panels on the roof and asked. The realtor said they were solar panels used to provide electricity to power the home’s water heater. I asked what average the electricity bill was for the home. It was basically the same as every other house we looked at in the area.
Needless to say we walked away and bought a better home that I made sure was insulated well. I could never understand why anyone would want solar panels in an area that experiences hail storms on occasion, even if they were economically feasible, which they generally are not in many areas of the country.
The buyer of the home with the panels removed them a couple years later when they had new roofing installed. Methinks they did not like the leaks and uselessness of the panels.
Since High School when I got through chemistry class without a calculator I have been a late adopter. Let other people be the beta testers! And save money too.
When Solar came and sales people said, “good for environment” I asked them what they thought about the environmental impact of manufacturing the panels. Someone somewhere used strong chemicals. Was it done in a environmentally sound manner?
And the early solar systems used DC from the panels to large converters. Which created strong magnetic fields as the power came from the panels down to the converters, among other things. Magnetic fields that would affect people similar to the way living near high power transmission lines. Has anyone studied the cancer rate differences between homes with DC solar panels and homes far away from power transmission lines?
Eventually we did start to think that reducing our power bill might be nice. And by then the panels were designed to use micro inverters coming off each panel, so the power transmission from the solar panel to the electric mains used regular 30A (?) wiring. New solar is also designed with larger panel sizes (less attachments) but smaller integrated sections (still get a lot of power from a panel that needs cleaning).
As someone mentioned, getting the Federal Tax Credit won’t work for everyone. For example, if you are lower income or retired, you aren’t going to get the credit. It’s setup only as a credit off of your OWED income tax. If you don’t owe taxes, there’s nothing to apply the credit to.
Another factor to consider is that solar is useless during a power outage. In order to protect the linesmen working on restoring power, regular solar installations are design to cut off if the feed from the power company goes out.
Not to mention that the systems that allow you to get solar power during an outage are $$$ expensive $$$ and to really go off grid, you need the battery systems which I would be concerned could be adding more risk than benefit.
More recently better roof attachment systems have been developed such that, when they are installed properly, leaking is not the issue it used to be. For our home, it was possible to get all the panels we wanted to fit on the garage roof. The roof on the garage is open beams so if any leaks occur, it won’t be a hidden disaster waiting to be discovered.
In the process of getting bids from various local contractors I figured out that most of the solar installers have a very well developed sales team that is apparently needed for “customer expectation” management. They over-sell their stock and then have to keep customers happy while their project install gets delayed 2-6 months waiting for parts.
Thankfully we found a small contractor that pre-stocked all parts and did not oversell their capacity. I think it was 4 weeks from initial walkthrough to completed installation. And they set us up for success with local inspections. Less than 2 more weeks to be inspected and get permission to cut over.
As for ROI, we couldn’t know for sure how it was going to work out since that depends on power rates, weather patterns, and changes in usage behavior (we have solar, turn on the A/C, LOL). We did find a way to get the tax credits which was a blessing. It was a smaller install as our needs aren’t much and we probably hit the breakeven before the 5th year of use.
Things worked out for us. I can’t say that all my neighbors had as good of experience.
Our solar panels are attached to our fence chargers. Our big problem is the fire ants LOVE them. 😫 Luckily Premier1 now has chargers designed to sit on a T-post instead of on the ground.
Premier1 is one of the really great American companies BTW. They HAVE livestock and do a lot of the design and all the testing themselves.
Do you use diatomaceous earth as an ant deterrent? Sold in garden stores.

I think Gail has good information, I just find it limited. It is more recent history of Israel. I don’t find Gail’s opinions antisemitic in ANY WAY.
Para, however, posts blatant, manipulative, Hamas propaganda designed to stir antisemitism in its viewers. I will never, ever, let that pass unchallenged. Because, as I stated, I know where that madness leads.

Important for people to remember – the last time anybody was actually banned here, was Andy C in Oregon, who could not stop baiting Filly, despite months of warnings and moderation. And moderation here is like catch and release with cashless bail – until earning a “stay out of jail for free” card. “Did the person not provoke the other person? Done.” If we could trust AI to simply “keep designated people separated, but no more censorship than that”, I could actually make a use case for AI moderation. Moderation is a thankless task that people do badly without digging deeply. AI that had to report all actions to me for approval (meaning it rarely acted) would be very helpful.
But whatever.
I hear you about antisemitism – but I do think it’s important to always remember that most Israelis (both left and right) are surprisingly OK with turning America into a police state of whatever kind works, for their own survival. Of course, why is that? At the same time, too many Americans (including Jews) have forgotten the lessons of World War II.
Sadly, “never again” depends on “never forget” – and Houston has a problem with the latter!
I personally find fear of AIPAC unwarranted, if not humorous, yet I will admit that they’re a powerful lobby, and a “concern” for those who (IMO) don’t have solid principles. Were I a politician, AIPAC would probably like me quite a bit, but I wouldn’t take their money. I will never vote against the basic American principles of our founding. But I see zero conflict between those principles and defending both Jews and their right to return to their homeland. Oh, this absolutely makes sense. One of Israel’s greatest problems is the complexity of relationship with American Jews – to say nothing of American Christians. You are absolutely right that it is a country problem.

Maybe 15 or 20 minutes later, I decided to preview the post so I could click on the video to play the song.
Surprisingly, even shockingly, the video appeared TWICE.
The video appeared once at the end, where I had placed it intentionally.
But the OTHER was that it was substituted for this image, which follows “We will always remember Wheatie….”
So instead of that image, it was “We will always remember Wheatie….” and then that video with that image of Sydney Sweeney’s jugs!

Had that appeared, it would NOT have been intentional by my. Hilarious, or horrifying, but not intentional.
Now, this is the interesting part. At first, I suspected this might be a case like we often see with videos, where YouTube “featured images” on videos “slide down the page” and appear on the wrong video. That is a problem which has always plagued YouTube videos on this particular platform (WordPress) and commenting plugin (wpDiscuz).
But THAT is not the case here. This is a static, hard-coded image block being fully replaced by a video embed block. That can’t happen – either accidentally or as some kind of programming artifact.
I have suspicions about how it happened, and none of them are totally pleasant, if you catch my drift.
I have long contended that there are folks with back-end access to our system – and I’m thinking now that they are not all “white hats”.
Or maybe some of the “white hats” simply have an interesting sense of humor.

I have no idea how any of it works, but the thought of someone having a back door to our system does not sound good. It would seem to me that they could change content at any time. I hope that’s not true.

We had a “social hacking” attempt through a plugin – which I didn’t fall for, but which leads me to think that either (1) the social hacking was either cover for an existing physical hack, or diversionary, or (2) it was a legit attempt that failed and led to stronger methods.
Based on what was done with Trump (where the DS repeatedly created later false justifications for earlier illegal spying), I tend to think they were already in our site at the WordPress cooperation level, and that layers and layers of cover and chaff are being deployed to hide it.
I suspect that the DS is really concerned that their next big COVID-scale move cannot afford any “off” narratives. They’re up to something.
And obviously they need us divided.

You have got to be kidding. Wish it was so and he might be able to make it so in the future, but right now he’s been dependent on an AIPAC & MIC controlled Congress to bring us much of his agenda. It’s called politics. It might look clean to you but what AIPAC and the MIC want too often go against the grain of what MAGA has been presented as and Trump has to work through that reality and often chooses the easy path by not confronting them.

There are several specific sections that are discussed; among them: sleep disruption / insomnia; episodes of acute “inner agitation” (akathisia) that can be very severe; and “emotional blunting” — all of which are recognized “side effects” from these drugs.
What we have here is an “intersecting”, IMO, of the following things, any or all of which can increase “side effects” of SSRI / SNRI drugs:
One: The type of SSRI / SNRI drug being taken, the daily dose amount, and the length of time that the drug is taken.
Two: How continuous and close is any monitoring of the patient by the doctor who prescribed the drug.
Three: If the patient has also been COVID-19 “vaccinated.”
Examples:
For One above: There are different types of “delivery methods” for paroxetine (Paxil) — this drug is available in tablet form; in capsule form; and in solution (liquid) form. Yours Truly can testify that the solution form gets into the system much faster then the other types.
For Two above: IMO, no SSRI / SNRI drug should be prescribed for a patient without a comprehensive plan for continuous and close monitoring by the doctor put into place.
For Three above: The modRNA COVID-19 “vaccines” contain N1-Methylpseudouridine, which destroys the RNA of the Uridine in the “vaccinated” person’s body, replacing it with a lab-created compound that does nothing beyond acting as a “facilitator” to spread the ingredients of said “vaccines” through the “gut-brain connection” of the body. Why is this important? Because natural Uridine, among its many other functions, is a natural regulator of SSRI produced by the gut; this natural SSRI regulates mood. 90% of the SSRI produced in the body comes from the gut. This SSRI travels along the “gut-brain connection” (a large part of which is the vagus nerve.)

The cell phone radio using microwave frequencies. The pineal gland perceives those frequencies as “light” and switches off melatonin production. Even a phone in airplane mode “checks in with the tower” frequently. I know, I have the meters to measure it.
Phone needs to be put as far away from you as possible to get full and restful sleep.
There’s very poor over-the-air reception out here in the woods.
Streaming talk radio from my phone is a necessity for me to get sleep because I have tinnitus.
I slide it under my pillow and poof! Right to sleep within 10 minutes.
It’s funny, because the times where I’ve been in a zone without radio frequencies around (e.g., box canyon in the desert), the ringing stops. The navy studied people that could “hear” microwaves. I suspect I’m one of them. But a doctor would say it’s tinnitus.
Not a comfortable condition to suffer with.
I use blue light blocking reading glasses. As I can’t read anything without them on, it always works!

The Torment
Trump was born into wealth but not into peace. His father was demanding and distant, a builder who measured worth in toughness and results. As a boy Donald was wild, defiant, and constantly in trouble. At thirteen, his father sent him away to New York Military Academy to be broken or reforged. There he learned discipline under drill instructors, marched in formation, and carried the sting of exile from his home. The scars of being cast out shaped his resolve. He was not the son who obeyed. He was the son who fought.
The Breaking Point
When he entered politics, the world mocked him. Pundits and politicians laughed at his first campaign for president, branding him a joke, a sideshow, a clown. Yet he endured the ridicule and carried the scars of contempt from the elite. As president and after, his enemies unleashed every weapon they had. Assassination attempts shadowed his rallies. Bullets were fired at him. And when death did not claim him, prosecutors and courts tried. Indictments stacked, cases multiplied, each one designed to bury him in shame or prison. The Transcendence

The Torment
Matt Lohmeier was a decorated Air Force pilot and one of the first officers commissioned into the newly created U.S. Space Force. He believed in the mission and in the promise of building something new. But as he rose through the ranks, he saw something that tormented him — the spread of political ideology inside the ranks, creeping into training, policies, and culture. He carried the weight of watching the warrior ethos diluted by ideology that had nothing to do with fighting and winning wars.
The Breaking Point
In 2021 he published Irresistible Revolution, warning about the rise of Marxist-influenced ideologies inside the U.S. military. He spoke plainly about what others whispered, calling out the system itself. For this, the institution struck back. He was relieved of command, investigated, and smeared as a political agitator. He carried the torment of being cast out not for failure in leadership or combat, but for daring to defend the military from politicization. His career, once promising, was reduced to ash in a matter of weeks.
The Transcendence
But Lohmeier did not vanish. He took his scars and turned them into testimony. He became a voice outside the wire, writing, speaking, and warning the nation about the dangers within its own institutions. He showed others that silence is complicity and that the price of truth is high — but necessary. His legacy is not measured in rank but in courage.
The tortured warrior is not always destroyed by enemy fire. Sometimes he is broken by the betrayal of the institution itself. Lohmeier proved that scars born of exile can still serve the nation, and that truth spoken in defiance can echo louder than silence kept in safety.
He currently serves as the Undersecretary of the United States Air Force.

Tortured Warrior XXVI: Sergeant William Harvey Carney
The Torment
Carney was born enslaved in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1840. His childhood was marked by bondage, humiliation, and the torment of being owned as property in a nation that claimed freedom. He escaped through the Underground Railroad, carving his way north to Massachusetts. There, with the Civil War raging, he seized the chance not only for his own liberty but to fight for the freedom of his people.
The Breaking Point
In July 1863, Carney fought with the 54th Massachusetts — one of the first African American regiments in the Union Army — in the desperate assault on Fort Wagner. Amid a storm of bullets and cannon fire, the color bearer fell. Carney seized the U.S. flag, refusing to let it touch the ground. He was shot in the head, chest, and leg, yet staggered forward, planting the flag on the parapet. Bleeding and broken, he crawled back with the flag still held high, gasping, “Boys, the old flag never touched the ground.” He nearly died, riddled with wounds, mocked by enemies who would never see him as a man.
The Transcendence
But Carney survived. Though disabled for life, his name became immortal. In 1900, decades after the war, he was awarded the Medal of Honor — the first African American to receive the nation’s highest decoration for valor. That shouldn’t matter to you though, because he was a soldier to the last. An AMERICAN soldier. His scars were proof that freedom was bought with blood, and that loyalty and courage are not bound by race.
The tortured warrior is often forged in chains before he earns his sword. William Harvey Carney carried the torment of slavery and the wounds of battle, but through it he raised a flag that would never fall — and proved that a man once enslaved could rise into eternal honor.
A good lesson for us all!
