The Great Falling Away
Paul wrote 2 Thessalonians, in part, to offer a clarification after some of his readers misunderstood that the day of the Lord was upon them already (2 Thessalonians 2:1–2). Part of that clarification includes a statement that many have interpreted as predicting a great rebellion before Christ returns. Second Thessalonians 2:3 says this: “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition” (NKJV).
In his first letter to the Thessalonians, Paul commended the believers for their faith, hope, and love (2 Thessalonians 1:2–3) and challenged them to excel still more (1 Thessalonians 4:1, 10). One area in which Paul encouraged them to grow was in their hope. To help with that, Paul taught them about the resurrection that will occur when the Lord meets believers in the clouds and the dead in Christ are raised (1 Thessalonians 4:13–17). This event, often referred to as the rapture, allows believers to grieve in a way consistent with their hope.
After the rapture, Paul explains, the day of the Lord will come. It will be a time of great difficulty for those who remain on earth in those days (1 Thessalonians 5:2–3). Paul explains that that day would not overtake believers (1 Thessalonians 5:4) and that God has not destined believers for wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9). However, because of the shortness of the time, the Thessalonians needed to make the most of their opportunity, being awake and sober (1 Thessalonians 5:6–8).
It is evident that the Thessalonians misunderstood the timing of the day of the Lord, as some thought that the day of the Lord had come upon them (2 Thessalonians 2:1–2). Paul explains that the day of the Lord had not yet come and that it would not come until some things happened first. One of those events preceding the day of the Lord would be the revealing of the man of lawlessness (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Also, Paul says, the “falling away” or “apostasy” (NASB) would come before the day of the Lord. Many have understood from this statement that before Christ returns many people will reject the faith and rebel against God.
Paul uses the Greek word apostasia in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, so “apostasy” is a good, literal translation. The Greek word means “to be apart from or to stand apart from.” Paul uses the same word in 1 Timothy 4 when he explains that in the last days people will stand apart from (or fall away from) the faith and follow various kinds of falsehood (1 Timothy 4:1–3). So, there will be a standing apart from the faith or a great falling away before Christ returns. Wickedness will grow worse and worse (2 Timothy 3:13).
But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. 2 Timothy 3:1-5
They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” Luke 12:53

This fits with a current annoyance. I just got a slew of documents because I invested in SteelCase and they’re being bought by someone I’ve never heard of who is a semi-competitor. The shares are in an IRA because I figured people would be buying filing cabinets from now until forever.
I must be really bad at this because I’ve lost money on most of my “now until forever” stocks over the last 40 years. At one time or another, I’ve invested in Lucent, Agilent, Kraft, both Sears and KMart, Nissan and GM — I could go on. Many of the “now until forever” companies decided to juice earnings per share by substituting debt for equity….which works until it doesn’t. Some merged up into larger companies that didn’t try so hard, or merged down into sinkholes that collapsed them.
And, sooner or later, some got infected with the woke mind virus. It would have been just my style to have invested in Cracker Barrel or Busch before their flirts with FAIL. They might have had decades of reasonable profits before one idiot move pissed it all away like Rip Curl.
I attribute this, in large part, to deficits in management. Nobody wants to actually “just” manage, guiding efficiency into organic growth. Instead, managers are looking for “the big score” where they take a company public or merge it — and their compensation is linked to those multi-million dollar transactions instead of the 10% improvement they can make in operations this year. And God forbid that their Marketing team discover profitable innovations instead of getting blind drunk at trade shows and visiting red-light districts overseas.
The documents I got for the SteelCase fiasco are full of “we hired banks who think it’s a good idea” and “we hired lawyers who think it’s the right thing to do” — they’ll get their cut when the deal goes down. There’s a whole lot of “our directors pondered it thoroughly” and “our management investigated every contingency” — when competent directors and management would have run over the other guys’ business model five years ago.
The US was once an industrial powerhouse, radiating concepts to the world eager for improvements. It’s now stuffed to the brim with talentless grifters and whores looking for a big payoff for their inability to actually manage.

As a student at Harvard Business School, Fred presented his idea for Federal Express in class. His idea was considered infeasible. Fred died this past June. I bet he still considers HBS his motivation for success.
I am sure you are aware that there is a thriving legal industry that specializes in shareholder class action suits against these kinds of corporate mismanagement. I have gotten dozens of such notices over the decades. Of course, the only profiteers of these suits are the attorneys. I cannot remember ever getting a single settlement from such actions. One of the risks taken when buying shares of a company is the real possibility of, not just mismanagement, but corrupt collusion of management. As long as people are involved, corruption is a given. I really don’t see a way to avoid it.

This is a hard line to walk in my opinion. If I disagree with someone, I state that.

A couple of weeks ago in an interview, Trump voiced surprise that people were complaining about “affordability.” Not surprisingly, the internet exploded. People I know who are more ardent supporters than I am wrote angry letters to the White House.

I refuse to be quiet when I disagree, because Trump and Company need to know how we, the voters, actually think and feel about what is going on. Not expressing it is akin to being mad at your spouse but just silently resenting them. Not good.

My disagreement is affordability has and continues to be addressed. It is not instantaneous when our own Club Senate will not shitcan the filibuster and blue slips. The commie judges delay progress knowing they will lose. It takes time to work through the system we have when there is no help from the Demoncraps. Fake news provides no platform for good news, only lies, distortions and obstruction.
The problem has been messaging, which is not 47’s issue, he is doing all he can while keeping the world from burning down (which also affects affordability). It is the rest of the party not being on the MAGA page and selling the positive changes that have been underway while fully supporting the effort.
Help is coming. It is well underway.
I address this with two openers in December.
I agree that it can’t change overnight. I get that the economy won’t turn around on a dime. My dismay came with Trump’s attitude about affordability, as if we were ingrates who were just complaining for no reason. No we are not. People didn’t take that well at all, which, when he heard about it, changed the messaging.

COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 98
The glory of the Redeemer. (1-3) The joy of the Redeemer. (4-9)
1-3 A song of praise for redeeming love is a new song, a mystery hidden from ages and generations. Converts sing a new song, very different from what they had sung. If the grace of God put a new heart into our breasts, it will put a new song into our mouths. Let this new song be sung to the praise of God, in consideration of the wonders he has wrought. The Redeemer has overcome all difficulties in the way of our redemption, and was not discouraged by the services or sufferings appointed him. Let us praise him for the discoveries made to the world of the work of redemption; his salvation and his righteousness fulfilling the prophecies and promises of the Old Testament. In pursuance of this design, God raised up his Son Jesus to be not only a Light to lighten the Gentiles, but the glory of his people Israel. Surely it behoves us to inquire whether his holy arm hath gotten the victory in our hearts, over the power of Satan, unbelief, and sin? Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Today is a busy day chez moi as we are celebrating our Thanksgiving today so Hubby & firefighter son can attend, as they both have conflicts on Thursday.
Yesterday was filled with lots of prep work & I am both sore & tired but thankful to have gotten most of the work accomplished in a fairly timely manner. My daughter & her daughter came over for a few hours yesterday to help. Hubby & Josiah did a bunch of cleaning & organizing too.
It’s hard to have a gang in our pretty tiny home. There are supposed to be 14 people, 3 age 3 & under 🙂 & we are experimenting with a second table in the living room for less cramped seating in our dining room that can allegedly seat 12 if all 3 leaves are in that Amish table.

We did a combo of Garlic Pepper (also has a bit of oregano), Mrs. Dash Garlic Seasoning Mix, Sage, Rosemary, & Basil on the Turkey, with butter under the skin.
I also made my stuffing which had 1 1/2 large onions, 3 ribs of celery, 1/2 pound of fresh mushrooms, the giblets chopped up, backbone meat chopped up (I cook that in water & use the water for the stuffing & also to make gravy), 2 different stuffing packages, & some “day old” hot dog buns broken into tiny pieces. Oh there was also plenty of garlic from a jar & the oil it cooks in, 1/2 pound of butter, & lots of spices–the same ones used to season the turkey plus Fresh Ground Black Pepper. I had to taste test it A lot last night 😉

I will always remember when he was in college he called me at 11:00 at night to ask how long it takes to thaw a frozen turkey. I asked how big was it? he told me and i told him days in the fridge. He said–I promised the guys in the dorm a turkey dinner tomorrow!
I laughed and said you can try the water bath method and explained it to him. he said he sat up all night changing the water so he could cook that bird the next day for his dorm mates.

I am enjoying watching various government officials try to weasel out of charges of “mortgage fraud.” These crimes are usually so easy to prove that a judge can issue a so-called “directed judgment” without conducting a trial or convening a jury.
The documents are public. They are sworn statements bearing a notary’s seal. The notary attests to the identity of the signer, who must execute the document in their presence. So, now the judge simply lays them out side-by-side and see if they are consistent. The only other alternative being that they are necessarily fraudulent.
There is no middle ground – nothing for a jury to have to decide. The sworn documents speak for themselves. And, you signed them. Somebody who had already identified you, watched you do it, and then affixed his or her seal in testament. If you did it, with no one holding a gun to your head, then you intended to do it. If the statements are false, then you knew it.
I find it a bit interesting that there appears to be no national database that banks can use to check for other mortgage applications in conducting “due diligence.” At least I don’t know of one.
I seem to remember reading something about “intent.” I don’t know if it has to be shown that the person intended to commit fraud, but if so, that could complicate things.

That is an unambiguous accusation against “this administration,” whether the military or intelligence agencies, and it is being told to the military and intelligence workers in order to turn them against the administration. I don’t see any other possible interpretation.

So where are those “threats coming from here at home” originating from? The only possible conclusion, from what they’re saying, is from this administration.
These six people are accusing the Trump administration of “threats to our Constitution.” The implications of that are massive.

2.By telling this to our military and intelligence agents, these six people are trying to turn them against their Commander In Chief, which I regard as sedition.
3.They directly accuse this administration of “pitting military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens.” That is a false accusation for which they need to be held accountable.
Whether lawfare and false interpretations and twisting facts will prevail, we shall see, but IMO this could not be clearer as a case of making seditious statements and encouraging insubordination.

That, right there, is enough, IMO, for her to be arrested for treason. She DOES NOT HAVE the Constitutional authority to decide what is, or is not, an “illegal order.” She does NOT have the authority to give orders to the United States military, to the intelligence community, or to any other type of organization or department in the federal government.
She did not claim to have the authority to decide which orders are unlawful; she just told others to make those decisions. By doing that, she was trying to make them think there have been unlawful orders. While that appears to be an indirect statement, IMO it is a direct accusation against this administration.
