I was there about ten years ago and it was not very safe. My friend lived in a gated community with guards. One had to be very careful and I had private guided tours. I did some volunteer work at a school in Shanty town. The conditions are unspeakable.

As I said, this is a quote from someone connected to Tina Peters. IMO it would be nice to be able to post material like that without the sniping and negativity. I’m not expecting or asking for, nor do I have, blind optimism. I’m asking that something be examined without the automatic filter of mistrust and pessimism.
Then you are skeptical of everyone working on Tina’s case and any and every problem in the government, because trying is a necessary part of all of it.
That’s what is being done, but because you won’t even acknowledge efforts, or “trying,” it’s a no-win situation that allows you to negate every effort, to complain that nothing is being done, and to cast blame on people who you think are not doing the right things or are not doing enough.
I posted something that gives information about what is being done. I don’t know about others, but I like to see news about how people are strategizing and what efforts they are making. Some of those efforts could fail, especially if they involve going through the court system; but I think progress is being made, and I support and encourage everyone who is doing the work.

Somebody needs to explain to me in great detail what law Tina Peters broke.
Because as far as I can ascertain, Tina is in prison for upholding, not breaking, the law.
You know and I know this is a political prosecution. Period, end of sentence. And the State of Colorado did it, and they hold most of the cards. Because state sovereignty, blah, blah, blah.
Trump would have to skirt Colorado’s constitutional right of sovereignty to free Tina. He would have to find a federal authority over Colorado law to do it. No attorney, advocate, or jailhouse lawyer is going to do that.
Colorado has dug in. Tina Peters is a test case. This is the Clash of the Titans, the State vs. the Federal. That’s the problem.
And yet, that appears to be exactly what is being done. Trump can’t do it alone, and he has people working on it. From the Evans quote:

It’s not about being a cockeyed optimist. It’s about being able to see things as they really are and being able to acknowledge when something positive has happened even if it is not yet the conclusion one wants, and even if there will be pitfalls ahead. I see that you are incapable of doing that and that your fear of being disappointed compels you to employ a negative filter for your own mental health, no matter what reality is or what effect that might have on others.
The post today about Washington crossing the Delaware reveals the importance of continuing to fight in the face of disappointments and setbacks. That includes fighting mental battles as well as physical ones. Hope is an essential element; not hopium, but hope. So is faith in leadership and in God’s providence. If everything that happens is viewed through the lens of defeat, then defeat will most likely be the outcome.

We had an early gathering a week & a half ago that included my dad, & our twins’ lady loves, all 3 of whom were absent yesterday. We played the adult version of the present game then so that cut down on the chaos yesterday, much to Hubby’s relief 🙂
Christmas Eve 3 of our kids & all our grandkids made it to Hubby’s church where he was playing bass for that candlelight service. Michael ended up being the entire rhythm section as the drummer had to take his pregnant wife to the ER. He did a great job & most of us didn’t even catch that there was no drummer playing. I was distracted by my daughter’s daughter who was playing with my jingle bell necklace 🎅
Our oldest, Nathaniel, was on security. Afterward as we gathered what family was there to snap some pics with Christmas backdrops provided by the church we heard about a security situation that had developed. Apparently the security guys were watching a strange, smaller, “bald” guy who kept going in & out of the bathroom & pacing about. The “suspicious” behavior had alarm bells going for several in the security team. N looked into it & realized it was just his “harmless” brother Josiah who was having some bathroom challenges & pacing “autisticly” because he doesn’t like to be confined in crowds…LOL
This is yet another scenario where N gets “embarrassed” by J. Years ago we were at a restaurant w/ my parents & brother’s family, probably after some of our kids soccer games. N just happened to overhear some kids at a nearby table discussing “the freak in the game room” who of course turned out to be Josiah acting super bizarre…aka like his “typical” autistic self. Or the time N was new to the HS soccer team having transferred in from another HS & J & I came to see him play after some type of appointment in Ann Arbor, after having a BK lunch. So as the game is progressing J, who was about 12 at the time, decides to run laps around the track that encircled the soccer field wearing a BK crown. N’s teammates already hated him for bypassing tryouts to get on the team & were mocking him mercilessly for his “dorky” brother running laps in his Burger King crown!
Christmas day was busy as both our twins spent the night & we had the traditional “Monkey Bread” that Michael has made for Christmas morning since like forever. It was a lower key start to the day as the families with kids were spending Christmas morning with their widowed in-laws, per usual. We watched a Christmas movie & some of us snagged naps before everyone arrived.
There were stockings, gifts for the grandkids, & a present game for the little ones. A big ham dinner & in the background a disappointing Detroit Lions game. The snack table was dived into liberally by all. My daughter brought an amazing selection of homemade goodies too, we were overflowing with sweet stuff!
I corralled the grandkids & used my Avon kids’ Nativity Set to creatively tell the Biblical aspects of the Christmas story with the granddaughters help with Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, 3 animals, & 3 wise men. I commandeered one of our Christmas Angels to stand in for all the angelic announcements. I think it went well enough to try again next year 😉
One caption on a different pic says this is a rare vintage 1993 set, & I did sell Avon back then, up until my twins were born 30 years ago. All our kids & grandkids have played with them too & they still look like new ❤
God is good & we are thankful to have had a decent Christmas time together crammed into our “tiny” house. Now today Might be just a pajama day as we try to regroup!

I love that Nativity so much but every time the grandkids come & play with it I want to make sure we find all the pieces before they go home. Baby Jesus gets put in some strange places by the 3, 2, & 1 year old granddaughters 🙂

Wonder if those were made at the Huntington, WV plant of Owens-Illinois Glass Company… it closed in the 1993-1994 timeframe, but over the years they made the majority of Avon’s glass bottles, in particular the fancy/figured ones…
Well you got me curious so I checked all 3 boxes (shocking that I know where they are LOL) & they were all made in NY.
We lived only about 30 miles from WV and my neighbors were locals. They had some wonderful giant glass marbles in their flower beds that I had to work not to envy. So pretty. Was it called slag glass? Boyd also made his wife a neat display box with old regular-sized marbles. I think some marbles were made of clay and others glass.
I wonder if WV will become great again at making wonderful glass things like marbles and dishes.
When I were a wee bairn, we used to drive from California to West Virginia every year, from 1960 to 1972 [except 1964 when we went to England, Mum’s birthplace, London, and my Dad got to stay home and work 🙂 or 🙁 ]…
Back then there were TONS of glass factories and artisan glass blowers, though the numbers were dwindling too.

My son and I were talking about making a model railroad layout where the train would start out (Shay’s and other steam engines, natch) in the Schwarzwald, go into a tunnel, and pop out the other side in West Virginia, perhaps with a VERY confused crew 😀 The signals, though, would probably be a challenge as those are REALLY different between the two countries. The landscapes of those two areas are almost identical… sigh… just need lots of space, money, and time, and money, and money, and money 😆

The changes of human affairs. (1-10) The Divine counsels unchangeable. (11-15) The vanity of worldly power. (16-22)1-10 To expect unchanging happiness in a changing world, must end in disappointment. To bring ourselves to our state in life, is our duty and wisdom in this world. God’s whole plan for the government of the world will be found altogether wise, just, and good. Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. every year, in the fall, I try to pick up a dozen uneaten acorns. I plant them in a flower pot and keep them warm and watered.
The first year I attempted this with, 12 out of 12 acorns sprouted. I separated them in spring, I planted them in pots and put them outside in the spring. I would bring them in at night. One evening, I went out to bring them in and a squirrel was eating the last of the remaining acorns in the pots! the tops remained, but the beginning roots and acorns were gone.
Every year since I have tried this with little success. My son in law told me the acorns were probably “rotten” in the first place and that’s why the squirrels and deer left them on the ground untouched.
A few years ago, I had success with one acorn and it remains inside in a pot warm and safe and it continues to grow albeit slowly.
This past fall , I found 6 good looking acorns and potted them. I have three sprouts growing!! I am excited.

oak trees grow very slowly, so no. not for years. deer will eat anything that’s young and tender. when they grow large enough we will plant them outside in cages.
If they are going to be in cages eventually, why not have pots in cages?

Wow, good to know. There is a starter oak tree butted up against Dad’s Cottage that I’ve been wanting to transplant for a few years now. It’s like 4 feet tall “now”. From my very limited knowledge.
First get a compass and mark north on the tree so you can keep the same orientation to the sun.
Second, go out to the end of the branches and dig a deep trench around the tree. this will keep most of the roots in a confined space. At minimum do it this winter or at spring thaw. Then move the tree NEXT spring.
Remember a four foot tree probably has a four foot deep tap root.

It was hard on my old body but I recover fast that is the blessing. Son in law came with a cold he had for 3 weeks. He relaxed and slept much here and left reconvert. I also made good food that helped. Hope we do not get it took my vitamins.

We just had some of my turkey soup from Thanksgiving again–it’s been out on the porch & frozen most of the time since Thanksgiving. It was a nice, easy treat after a couple pretty exhausting days. I was just having some discussion with TT about my skepticism. And I realize that, yes, I am now skeptical of everything.
Literally. Anything I read or see, I question. It doesn’t matter anymore where it comes from. Which I’m sure seems pretty doom-poony sometimes, though I don’t mean for it to.
What that does for me on the positive side is things like spotting the “Franklin” meme about Mark Levin and its attempt at further division of our side. It also means I give immediate side-eye to things that look too good to be true, and find quite a few that are.
What it does on the negative side is that I don’t believe in good things happening “behind the scenes” anymore. I have passed that stage. I am full-on see it to believe it now.
I can only hope that all my questioning amounts to a net positive, a balance between being wrong sometimes, but right more often. I guess I’ll just have to see how things play out.
I will say this; you all wouldn’t believe the conversation I had over Christmas lunch yesterday. I heard theories about things going on in politics and global affairs that were so far out, they were touching other galaxies. People have been led to believe some stuff that is NUTS in a bad way. I am sure that is by design.
Lack of skepticism, IS a primary factor of how things have become so FUBAR.

IMO the default logical center on that issue – the starting point – is to neither believe nor disbelieve assertions of “behind the scenes” – but to then test them logically, for all of these things.
The latter is particularly important. Could YOU do something similar, given the resources, the time, the position, etc.? If not, could people you know in real life do it? Finally, could Trump do it? If you could not, or somebody you know could not, or even Trump could not, then how could somebody else do it? It’s MAGIC. It’s a FANTASY.
IMO most of the “magic” anon crap is just designed to keep patriotic sheeple from being stolen by the other side.
On the other hand, if you have personal experiences which validate that something is reasonable and plausible, then out-of-hand rejection is illogical. Our side should be working on it. Right?
Researching people is very helpful in this regard. Knowing what to expect, and neither expecting too much nor too little, helps predictions come true.

Yes. I agree with all of this.
I currently give the most weight to evidence over time. What I see happening, actually occurring, in reality over time. People won’t like this, but that’s why I don’t believe most of the high-profile people we know committed crimes won’t ever see jail. I remember Trump saying to Hillary, “you’d be in jail,” and the “evidence over time” says that’s not true.
The reason I don’t have a lot of hopes for people like the guy TT posted, who started an org to help Jan 6-ers and others is because of your “presence of bona fides.” I saw what happened to VERY smart, capable, talented, people (even Donald Trump, first term) when they ran up against the entrenched Deep State government bureaucracy. Look what happened to Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell. Can some random guy from Texas, who started an organization to fight the government, back the Deep State of Colorado into a corner? Call me crazy, but I do have my doubts. If I found the right guy on LinkedIn, (and I think I did, the photos match) he owns a staffing agency in Texas.

For the fourth time, it’s about the quotation, not Evans. It might be something he said, and it might be something someone else said. I see two possibilities: 1) It’s an actual quote from someone discussing ongoing strategies in the Tina Peters case, or 2) the quote was completely made up by Evans. I’m choosing to go with the first option. that he posted a real quote, for the sake of discussion, because if he had made it up he could be destroyed by people who are in the know.
The quote begins with this:
“When Tina Peters asked me to step in, I knew this was not a case you ‘litigate’ — it was a constitutional war that needed an architect…”
From that it can be understood that:
1) Tina Peters asked the author of the quote to help her (whether Evans or someone else).
2) Tina Peters knows the author of the quote, or at least knows his work.
3) It was immediately recognized that a constitutional strategy was needed.
I’m not placing hope “in the guy that I posted” (i.e., Evans). Evans might or might not be on the actual team working for Tina. But he apparently has information that he either got firsthand or saw posted somewhere, and that information is from someone on the inside (“When Tina Peters asked me to step in…”). Therefore, that information gives a glimpse into the thinking behind what is being done.
To keep harping on a lack of knowledge about Evans, or his supposed lack of expertise, is to create a distraction from what was actually said and the information that Tina Peters asked someone to step in, that he knew this case required a special constitutional strategy, etc.
That’s a moot point because no one said Evans had backed Colorado into a corner. Evans himself did not say that.

It comes down to the professor being the director of that large fusion plasma investigation facility at MIT. If these theories are correct, then it was his position of being in charge of the facility, and any influence he had on the direction of future research, that would be cause for his being assassinated.
If Prof. Nuno Loureiro (PNL hereafter) has emails and text messages showing that he was considering changing allocations of time and equipment for experiments at the facility he directed, based on changes in current science technology and funding, then it is possible that the merger of Trump’s group with TAE Technologies was the catalyst for somebody wanting to stop or delay any changes that PNL was comtemplating, based on a shift in thinking, toward proton-boron fusion being first to commercialize.
One of TAE’s competitors is actually located in Cambridge. They are using different reactions and different reactors.

Some of his research is connected to topics relevant to TAEs technology, but I tend to think that killing him for reasons of basic research is less likely than for reasons of scientific administration. It would be like Germany assassinating Openheimer during WWII. It would have been more for his administration of the Manhattan Project than for his personal scientific contribution to it, IMO.
If PNL was killed for science funding and/or industry technology reasons, it will be very difficult for law enforcement to even find suspects, much less prove who is responsible.
