God Hates?
Seven things that God hates are a catalog of sins summed up in Proverbs 6:16–19. While these aren’t the only sins that should be avoided, they do sum up most of the wicked things condemned by God. The seven things God hates are the sins that deal with the deep heart motives of the individual. The writer of Proverbs points the finger straight at our hearts and our sinful thought processes.
This is in line with our Lord Jesus Christ’s elaboration of the Ten Commandments during His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:21–48). Sin is committed the moment it is conceived in the heart, even before it is actually committed. Avoiding the seven things God hates will help us expose our hidden intentions and motives.
The following is Proverbs’ list of seven things God hates:
Arrogant (haughty) eyes: This describes a feeling of pride and looking down upon others (Philippians 2:3, 5–11). When we begin to think of ourselves more highly and with unparalleled importance, we are forgetting the fact that anything good in us is the result of Christ living in us and that the old self is now dead (Galatians 2:20). Often, believers feel superior to other believers when they receive godly wisdom and display amazing tenacity against sin. We fail to realize these gifts were given by God through Christ and fanned into flame by the Holy Spirit and are not due to our own goodness. This sin of pride is so detested by the LORD that Paul was kept from committing this sin by being provided with “a thorn in the flesh” to humble him (2 Corinthians 12:7).
Lying tongue: A lying tongue is one that speaks falsehood, knowingly and willingly, with an intention to deceive others. Lying can be used to impugn the character of a brother or to flatter a friend. It is a most detestable evil to God, who is a God of truth. Nothing we do causes us to more closely resemble the devil, who is the father of lies (John 8:44).
Hands that shed innocent blood: This refers to cold-blooded murder. We may never have orchestrated killing someone or never have touched a gun or knife, but in Matthew 5:21–24, Jesus says that anyone who is angry with someone else unreasonably without offering room for forgiveness commits a sin equivalent to murder. John reiterates this concept in 1 John 3:15.
A heart that devises wicked schemes: This encompasses thinking or conceiving evil against any individual or group for personal benefit or other misguided objectives, like modern-day terrorists indulge in. Any sin is basically a wicked scheme. David’s sin against Uriah the Hittite and Bathsheba comes to mind (2 Samuel 11). The heart of an evil man continually contrives schemes to bring others to ruin, whether physically or spiritually.
Feet that are quick to rush into evil: Those whose feet are quick to rush into evil display no resistance whatsoever to sin. Having many examples in the Bible, and having the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30; Galatians 5:16), we are expected to be wise in this regard (Romans 6:11–14; Ephesians 5:5, 11). In the Garden of Eden, Eve had the first experience of temptation. She displayed no resistance to the serpent’s temptation. Instead, as soon as the devil attracted her to the fruit, she “saw that the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye” (Genesis 3:6). Eve had sinned at that moment itself. Contrast this with the attitude of Jesus: when tired and hungry after forty days and forty nights of fasting, He refused to yield to the devil’s tempting and killed the temptation in His mind without allowing it to grow into sin (Matthew 4:1–11). “Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).
False witness who pours out lies: This is similar to the sin of the lying tongue mentioned earlier, but this form of lying is given special mention as it could send an innocent person to jail or even lead to him being stoned to death as happened to Naboth, thanks to false witnesses instigated by the wicked Jezebel (1 Kings 21:8–14). The prohibition against bearing false witness is the ninth of the Ten Commandments, and the New Testament is equally condemning of it. Colossians 3:9–10 explains the reason for the continued prohibition against lying. Christians are new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and, as such, we reflect His nature. We have been released from our “old self” with its evil practices such as lying and bearing false witness.
A man who stirs up dissension among brothers: Brothers are created by God to live in unity (Psalm 133:1; 1 Thessalonians 4:9). Believers are brothers and sisters since they have one Father God and one Brother, Jesus Christ. The Church is also the Bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:25–27). In many situations strife among brothers and even within the church seems unavoidable, but anyone who purposely causes disruption to peace in the body of Christ will displease God above all, since that person gives room for others to sin and for himself to sin further (1 John 2:9–11; 4:19–21). Moreover, Jesus pronounced a great blessing on peacemakers, the privilege to be called “sons of God” (Matthew 5:9).

One hopes that, once our good bakocarl is judged well enough to leave the hospital, that every type of support is ordered by the doctors: physical and occupational therapy (performed in the home) — services of a Registered Dietician — home health care visits — durable medical equipment — rides to and from medical appointments, if needed, etc.
If it’s deemed necessary that he go to a “step-down” facility first (inpatient rehab center) before going back to his home — that all necessary and/or auxiliary therapy, equipment, services, etc., are ordered.

His Revolutionary War papers also stated that he was part of the “Lexington Alarm” so I don’t know if that meant he was another rider carrying messages or what. He was mustered out of Stockbridge, MA in Berkshire County, that was later the home town of beloved American artist Norman Rockwell.

I’d appreciate more prayer for my dad & his ongoing complicated situation. I’m going to sit up with him Sunday night at my bro’s house, to help w/ bathroom issues. He sometimes gets up every hour & seems to be quite confused especially at night.
He’s still only intaking about half the fluid he should on a daily basis so I think that dehydration remains a factor in what’s been happening with him. The UTI has apparently cleared up, thankfully, but Dad still refuses to drink enough because he’s trying to reduce bathroom trips. He’s been battling gout, which I believe involves uric acid & I don’t know if that condition can be exacerbated by inadequate hydration too.
Early Monday morning my SIL & I are taking him to have an endoscopic procedure that Might help alleviate a swallowing concern that Might be connected to his uncorrected Pyloric Stenosis &/or history of acid reflux.
A couple hours later, at the same location, we have an appointment with a Neurologist, iirc, to attempt to get a diagnosis for what’s been happening mentally. Shortly thereafter we are to see his primary care doc, in a different location, near Dad’s home, where he has not been since going to my brother’s house roughly Easter weekend. SIL doesn’t want him even near his neighborhood as she thinks it will upset him. The last doctor’s office is probably about 5 miles away from his home.
My SIL set up all 3 appointments, something that I anticipate being pretty overwhelming for my dad & a very long day for all of us but c’est la vie.
My oldest son said that his late FIL had similar urinary issues to what my dad’s been experiencing over the years. It took years to find the cause, but in his FIL’s case his issues resolved upon removal of his gallbladder. I hope to mention this to one or more of the doctors we see on Monday, in case it Could be a clue to helping Dad.
Please pray for God’s will, wisdom, & healing for my dad. Pray for solutions that are feasible for dehydration & urinary issues. Also pray for insurance coverage to kick in to cover various needs & for favor in seeking in-home & possibly adult day care scenarios as my bro & SIL continue to try to care for Dad in their home.
Thank you so much for your prayers for my family’s needs, they are such a comfort & a blessing. May God be with you all, especially Carl as he heals from his major surgery ❤

Thanks for the tip. I ran Dad’s symptoms through Brave (AI?) adding on little by little & it spit out that most of them appear to be connected to dehydration. I’ll have to rethink it before I go later today so that I have it more freshly in mind after getting some more sleep. 🙂

I wonder if a home IV drip for hydration might be helpful. I had to administer a daily IV of antibiotics to my son years ago. It’s not very hard.

Just a heads up – Medicare rules are somewhat picky about what infusion homecare they cover. My mother needed a 3x a day, 30 day regimen of antibiotics. Her policy said it would only be covered if she stayed in a rehab facility.
She wanted to go home so I set up the infusions with a private company. The final bill was close to $20,000 but she wanted to be at home so home it was.

I got thrown for a loop yesterday upon waking from a dream where I was speaking with my now deceased mom & she was saying that she & Dad were selling their house & moving in with Dad’s brother. Dad only has a sister, but his mom lost a pregnancy, so it got me wondering if I was getting a heads up to my dad shortly leaving this world & joining Mom & a possible brother in Heaven.
3 weeks ago Dad was doing “fine” on his own, planning to drive himself to Easter services at his church. The sudden reversal of functioning, clearly connected to the UTI (& likely to dehydration) is just hard to “accept” without fighting. I don’t Think he wants to die, but he’s also overwhelmed in multiple ways.
My brother from OK is scheduled to visit on Mother’s Day weekend & originally was to stay with Dad in his home, now planned to be a little bro’s home. Dad was asking about our son Brandon’s wedding a couple days ago, planned for August, & how we’d accommodate him there (it’s a destination wedding a couple hours West of where we all live).
I’m intermittently battling difficult emotions that Hubby thinks are also clouded by grieving my mom’s death. If I get overwhelmed emotionally I go into near shut down, unfortunately. I’m very strong in one sense & in another also very weak…
Heading toward an IV for dad while they diagnose IMO. The gall bladder could be a cause. The mental state gets addled by pain, drugs and medical factors as we age. I bet that clears up when the underlying cause(s) are addressed.

Bedside urinal, they had those at the hospital too. Dad’s currently wearing a form of pull ups & is mostly OK w/ toileting, at least during the day. The night time is where things get dicey. My daughter was out there to help one day last week & said that Dad got confused as to where the bathroom was even during the day so it’s possible how the situation is being presented is slightly different that what is “factual” or perceived by others.
I was thinking that for night time it would be best since he would not have to get up and would not have to ‘wake all the way up’ In that way he could get better rest.
My BP/Potassium problem means I am up every 3 hours and NEVER get a full nights sleep. That can be very wearing on a person.

I would NEVER have set up marathon appointments like SIL did & personally consider it too overwhelming for my dad in his current debilitated state. I offered to come for 3 nights, Sat, Sun, & Mon to help spell her & help my dad in the before & after phase from Monday’s big appointment events. After Bro & SIL talked it over they wanted me to just come for Sunday night & be there in getting Dad to all his Monday events. I’m riding to bro’s house with him in a couple hours as he is nearby at Dad’s home getting more things for him (they live an hour+ away). My daughter is giving me a ride home after Monday events from Dad’s last appointment location. At this point things are in motion & apparently both doctor visits were fine w/ an 87 year old intermittently confused man having TWO additional doctor’s visits on top of the Endoscopy–INsane in my book, but I’m not the one driving the current bus!

I took my friend for an endoscopic procedure and she was very much out of it for quite a while.
Yep that’s how it was for Josiah. His first endoscopy was so hard on him that we were back in the ER about 6-8 hours later for that marathon hospitalization for Severe Pancreatitis that ended up overlapping my mom’s death last May. J’s issues were atypical anatomy based so hopefully Dad’s endoscopy is more straightforward. I still anticipate him being groggy & exhausted, at a minimum, afterwards.
Yep & it’s likely more challenging the older one is…sigh…
Thanks for the reply. I agree that having two appointments after an endoscopy is not a good idea. Your dad is going to be exhausted and not as alert as he normally would be. Just my opinion: I would call first thing in the morning to get the other two appointments postponed. I’m surprised that the people doing the endoscopy didn’t say that he willl just need rest afterward. I’m praying for you all tomorrow. 🙏

Based on my own experiences with my late husband, there are, IMO, several things going on:
One — the urinary bladder of an older person can be less “elastic” and/or not function as easily as that of a younger person.
Two — the pelvic floor that helps to “support” the urinary bladder, in an older person, may not be as strong as / function as well as, the pelvic floor of a younger person. This is particularly the case with older women who have had children.
Three — there may be anxiety, in an older male, that doing the usual “standing up and urinating” position may not be as “reliable” (in other words, balance issues), compared to a younger male.
**** Four — in any case, dehydration is a sign that the body is desperately looking for fluids to get the urinary tract to function. Since the human body (and brain) are “fluid-based” (about 70%), and IF the body (and brain) do NOT have sufficient fluid content, the body, in order to keep alive, will PULL fluids from wherever in the body (and brain) it can be found — from muscles, bones, the brain itself — in order to urinate SOMETHING.
The paradox here is that being afraid of “going to the bathroom too much”, so not taking in enough fluids, is actually devastating to the body.
Once the fluids are GRADUALLY brought back up to the normal amount needed per day (that’s body weight divided by 2: so, a 100-pound person needs 50 ounces of fluids per day), there may be some “have to use the bathroom more often” period while the body readjusts itself back to normal. But things get better once the body adjusts to the person taking enough fluids on a daily basis.
Very useful info. to stash away since we are all getting older.

Yes, IMO dehydration is problematic for both kidney stones and gout.
Reducing carbs is essential to reduce edema and swelling, and once that is better, water balance is better, and he can get by drinking less water to stay properly hydrated.
Is he getting at least one glass of cranberry cocktail daily? That helps end and prevent UTIs. Cranberry cocktail is much easier to drink than the juice, which needs dilution to 1/4 strength (or even 1/8 strength, for more water) and addition of sweetener. Ocean Spray is kind of a reference cocktail.
Cranberry cocktail also provides some effect against dehydration, too.

More truth than fiction on the land yacht parking one. My test was in our family’s 1966 Chevy Biscayne station wagon with no turn signals. Had to use the ole arm out the window routine. Because of it they gave me a 95 because I was overly cautious at a RR crossing since I did not know if the rear lights worked at all. Made a 100% on the parking.
The results blew our high school’s DE teacher’s mind. He had bet me that I wouldn’t make at least a 90 on both. If I did he had to give me an A, if I didn’t he said he was going to fail me. I tended to have too much fun intentionally scaring his tail while driving during class.
I made the A. I had to show him the license bureau proof. He didn’t know I had been driving short distances around town since age 14.

When I went to get my license, I failed the written test, and passed anyway.
The test was administered by the State Patrol. My mother knew every trooper. I know I failed, because you could miss five questions. I asked how many I missed, the trooper said “five,” and winked at my mother.

My DE teacher took off a point on my final test because I nudged the curb when I parked back at school, I would have gotten a 100 otherwise.

For decades, my late husband owned a 1974 white 4-door Cadillac Sedan DeVille. We dubbed it “Moby Dick.” It barely fit into the garage! He took care of that car as if it were a cherished member of the family. He sold it to a classic car collector in 2003, when he was diagnosed with macular degeneration and had to give up his driver’s license. That car was still in perfect shape.

He hadn’t, so she asks him to look in the pot. He reaches for it and again the lid rises, and he sees two little eyes looking around before it slams down.
Sputtering in a fit of pique, he calls the waiter over, describes what is happening, and demands an explanation.

The husband replies, “Chicken Surprise.”
“Ah… so sorry,” says the waiter, “I bring you Peeking Duck.”

It’s really eye-opening to see who gets tagged, but a pattern rapidly becomes apparent. What the Brits term “Asian” (i.e. Asia, India, and the Middle East) are far and away the most cited (and shut down) establishments, sometimes with multiple violations that take many months to be remediated…
There’s also a food recalls site that’s handy… same thing there, lots of Asian and Turkish stuff with e.coli, listeria, debris (glass or plastic fragments), etc.
Seems like the third world has a rather different idea of cleanliness, health, and good practices than we do…

COMMENTARY FOR REVELATION 22:12
A description of the heavenly state, under the figures of the water and the tree of life, and of the throne of God and the Lamb. (1-5) The truth and certain fulfilling of all the prophetic visions, The Holy Spirit, and the bride, the church, invite, and say, Come. (6-19) The closing blessing. (20,21)
6-19 The Lord Jesus spake by the angel, solemnly confirming the contents of this book, particularly of this last vision. He is the Lord God faithful and true. Also by his messengers; the holy angels showed them to holy men of God. They are things that must shortly be done; Christ will come quickly, and put all things out of doubt. And by the integrity of that angel who had been the apostle’s interpreter. He refused to accept religious worship from John, and reproved him for offering it. This presents another testimony against idolatrous worship of saints and angels. God calls every one to witness to the declarations here made. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

The retiree was volunteering at the Central Minnesota Council on Aging, helping seniors sign up for Medicare plans, when he learned about Broad-Based Categorical Eligibility. The loophole helps states bypass federal food stamp eligibility requirements, specifically income and asset thresholds. The latter limits take into account liquid assets, such as cash on hand or readily available money in bank accounts. Wealth in property, retirement accounts, life insurance, personal goods and other possessions don’t count toward the asset limits.
States get around the limits through the so-called “non-cash benefit” provision.
“If someone is deemed eligible to receive other welfare benefits, they automatically qualify for food stamps,” FGA explains in the video. “And states have fully weaponized this loophole.”

i finally got to talk to Mom. She sounded extremely tired. she didn’t mention cancer at all, so i let it lie. She wants to go “home” (back to the memory care place). the nurses got her out of bed to use the bathroom (using her walker) and she was “shaky” in her words, but that’s because she’s hasn’t been using her walker in a couple of days.
her memory was even more fuzzy, but whatever they’re giving her for the infection in her leg made her that way last year.
Good you spoke with Mom. Hope there is a phone next to her bed.
Also your brother and SIL are actively paying attention to Mom’s health, care and spending time with her. Figuring out next steps. ideally brain storming ideas with you. Though I’d guess,not.

I keep thinking of what they did to Brian Ardis father-in-law. Once he was escorted out of the hospital by security they started giving his F-in-L morphine ‘for pain’ which took the guy out of the decision making equation.

it is my understanding that the doctors were discussing the cancer with the three of them. she was the one who said she’d rather go back to the memory care place than a new hospice place.
she has an infection in her leg which is clouding some of her thoughts and memory. it happened before. when the medicine is done and the infection clears, so does her memory and mind for the most part.

Not that it’s of any importance to your mother’s situation but my mother basically went through several rounds of chemo and never knew or was in denial that she had colon cancer. It may have been her coping mechanism but she went where we took her for treatment, never felt sick, didn’t lose her hair but was very mentally cloudy during all that time. Until her last day it seemed to be a blessing of sorts that she didn’t understand or deep down didn’t want to understand. The home hospice woman was a b*tch. She kept pressing for mama to acknowledge the cancer…she wouldn’t 🙃
After my father was diagnosed my brother said he asked his dr. neighbor how long and he said 6 months. The rest of us didn’t ask my father’s dr. for a prognosis, how long he had, none of that and we just never spoke of it again. He did all the treatments, follow up appts., endless testing… all of it…and lived for several more really good years.
His oncologist said he could count on one hand the number of his patients with the level of disease my father had that lived so long and well. Sometimes Don’t Ask Don’t Tell works out. Good for your mom for shutting down the hospice b*tch.

Over the last week we lost 2 animals. It is looking like it was caused by adulterated feed. This is the second time within the last six months (at least the last time the stuff was non-lethal.) In both cases it is the same product but 2 different manufacturers.
Both NC and the USA have laws about adultrated feed so I am calling the sheriff and the Food and Drug Protection Division — Animal Feed Program on Monday.
The feed was definitely adulterated, Whether the addition is lethal or not I can not tell without lab analysis. IF the contaminate is what I think it is, the manufacturer does not deal in that material so it would have to be introduced intentionally by someone during the bagging process.

Be careful with this DM request scam thing that is going around Twitter. Recipients of the DMs are clicking the links and giving their passwords, effectively losing access to their accounts. Once lost, their accounts then go spread the scam to other people via DM requests.

NEW: Man walks out to his backyard to find 13 people in a hot air balloon basket looking back at him in Temecula, California.
The resident, Hunter Perrin, says he was watching TV on Saturday morning when he got a knock on his front door from his neighbor.
“We walked into the backyard and there’s this basket full of 13 people, just sitting in the backyard looking at us,” Perrin said.
According to one of the hot air balloon riders, the pilot had to make an emergency landing because there wasn’t enough wind and they had only a little fuel left.
The pilot tried landing in the street but ended up in the backyard.
No one was injured, and there was no property damage.
U.S. Forces Disable Vessel Attempting to Enter Iranian Port, Violate Blockade
TAMPA, Fla. –
U.S. forces operating in the Arabian Sea enforced naval blockade measures against an Iranian-flagged cargo vessel attempting to sail toward an Iranian port, April 19.
Guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) intercepted M/V Touska as it transited the north Arabian Sea at 17 knots enroute to Bandar Abbas, Iran. American forces issued multiple warnings and informed the Iranian-flagged vessel it was in violation of the U.S. blockade.
After Touska’s crew failed to comply with repeated warnings over a six-hour period, Spruance directed the vessel to evacuate its engine room. Spruance disabled Touska’s propulsion by firing several rounds from the destroyer’s 5-inch MK 45 Gun into Touska’s engine room. U.S. Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit later boarded the non-compliant vessel, which remains in U.S. custody.
American forces acted in a deliberate, professional, and proportional manner to ensure compliance. Since the blockade’s commencement, U.S. forces have directed 25 commercial vessels to turn around or return to an Iranian port.
They gave them six hours and told them where the vessel would be hit. That’s more than fair.
Presumably the engine room is above the waterline.
Hey guys, a quick update on my dad’s situation. It was a very long day & I’m exhausted, but thankfully back home now.
Dad had the Endoscopy this morning 9am ish & it revealed why he has a swallowing issue. He has a tumor intruding into the esophagus & causing the “tube” diameter to be about that of a dime in that area instead of roughly that of a quarter as it should be. The doctor was very concerned about the tumor & took a small biopsy, but results could take some weeks. I asked doc for his impression of what type of tumor & he believes it looks cancerous. He made a referral to oncology & hopes Dad might be seen even before biopsy results are available.
The Neurology appointment was in the same building but a different location & we made it just in time for the 11am visit. There were lengthy discussions of Dad’s history & that doctor did some basic neuro testing. She believes that Dad has a form of dementia & it was clear in some of the memory portions of the testing that he was struggling. She wants to have an MRI w/ & w/out contrast to better image the brain to see if a diagnosis might be narrowed down. She said some of the brain changes appear to be those associated w/ diabetes, which Dad doesn’t have though he may have “pre-diabetes,” &/or cholesterol issues, fwiw.
The third appointment was w/ his primary care doc in a different location, the one we saw last Monday. This was to perhaps get appropriate medicine for Sleep & Anxiety. Dad appears to have something akin to Sundowners where he has diminished functioning from roughly 6-6:30pm until 6-6:30am. The doc prescribed Zoloft for Depression/Anxiety & Trazodone for sleep assistance. SIL will likely trial Trazodone starting tonight.
Well that’s the bottom line & lots to process & address going forward. Dad was quite perked up, considering, when he was in the post-procedure “that went better than I thought it would”. He probably had 80+% of a 1000ml IV saline bag, so hydration may have been a partial factor at that point for he was still quite tired but in reasonably good spirits, considering.
Interesting times ahead…
Oh & Dad refused all pills, prescribed & supplements, the last few days. He seemed to assent to the new meds to help him emotionally & with deeper sleep, but we’ll see if he actually allows himself to take them. He hasn’t been using his Bi-Pap for a few days either so is possibly having some sensory issues that are impacting his “normal” sleep functioning. C’est la vie…wheee!
