The theme of tonight’s post is MOON PIES.

Moon Pies are a bit of hillbilly cuisine that some folks gain a certain love for, despite the fact that – if you really think about them – they are an absolute culinary FAIL.

  • taste like cardboard, shaving cream, unsweetened chocolate syrup that was barely dried on the stove, and 20-year-old ginger snaps that survived a flood and never dried out right
  • oddly dry yet not crisp
  • bad mouth-feel as you bite down, like inedible things balanced badly on polyurethane foam
  • they literally make one’s teeth cringe like nails on a blackboard
  • not enough chocolate
  • chocolate not sweet enough
  • chocolate too tacky and melty, gets on fingers easily, smears around
  • spices in breading are too weak
  • not enough bad cream
  • bad cream has creepy sponginess
  • non-optimal mix of bad components
  • crumbly in a bad way

And YET some of us gain an odd affection for them.

Yeah. You know you want one. 😉

Super Blood Wolf Moon Viewing Station

A special thread from which to get ready for, and then watch, the “super blood wolf moon”.

Before leaving, I wanted to provide some information about the “super blood wolf moon” which will appear in my absence, on the night of January 20/21. I also wanted to leave a special parting message for everybody. And finally, I wanted to leave some potentially missing crumbs for the white hats.

Rather than doing three posts, I tried to do a SINGLE POST. Well, that didn’t work out so well. The “a few tips for the white hats” part turned into a MASSIVE reveal.

Eventually, the latter just became the focus of things, and it was all wrong. Therefore, I excised that part as a separate post. Which you may or may not have seen, when you see this.

The bottom line – there is a LUNAR ECLIPSE that is coincidental with a bunch of stuff, and that stuff has heightened the usual human interest in any eclipse to extraordinary levels.

Now – a few thoughts about that interest.

There is certainly a lot of interesting stuff attached to this eclipse. I think one of the greatest points demonstrated by this event is the MASSIVE MINDSHARE which this celestial event holds over people – the way both ANNIVERSARIES of things and ASTRONOMICAL EVENTS have PSYCHOLOGICAL POWER over people.

This is significant. Note that these events are important in both RELIGION and SCIENCE, to say nothing of HISTORY per se. Is it any wonder that both ASTROLOGY and ASTRONOMY developed?

The PERIODICITY of things is REAL. Some is hard and fast, some is loose and statistical, much is personal and circumstantial. Coincidence is a thing which sometimes is meaningful, sometimes not. I love the famous Ian Fleming quote:

“Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action”

Let me add to that.

“Ten times means you’re behind enemy lines.”

Where “scientific suspicion” leaves off and the left’s useful dismissive tool of “confirmation bias” begins is not clear. In my opinion they overlap strongly, and one has to be careful that “intuition leading to revelation” is not dismissed too early. In fact, I tend to believe that “confirmation bias” is now the left’s strongest tool for creation of useful idiots.

Still, we must be PATIENT. Correlation is not causation. The search for causation is what takes things from astrology to astronomy. It can even take astronomy from planet Vulcan to general relativity.

The search for causation can also take things from happenstance and coincidence to enemy action. Causation is sometimes something we have to wait long and hard to find.

Super Blood Wolf Moon Eclipse Mysteries

Adding Authors for Articles (Posts) and Dear MAGA Threads to Keep the Site Going While I Am Away

The bottom line is simple. I must vanish from this site for a period which includes the “Super Blood Wolf Moon” eclipse of January 20/21. It would be ill-advised for me to go into details about this absence. The timing is short but indeterminate – it could be a week – it could be longer. I am thinking that 1-2 weeks is reasonable.

Therefore, I need to get this site running without my daily attention as soon as possible, but definitely before a date I have chosen:

January 17, 2019

This will begin a three-day window during which I will disappear. January 17, 18, 19 (three of my “spiritually lucky” numbers, by the way). I will definitely be gone before the SBWM days of January 20 and 21, with January 20 also being the anniversary of President Trump’s Inauguration.

My return will be – if all goes as expected – 1-2 weeks later. I am thinking January 31 is a good target date. Expect me back by then. If not, then it’s time to get worried.

SO – before that time, I need to do two things:

  • Add 1-3 “Authors”, in addition to Flep, to provide articles (what WordPress calls “posts”) on an occasional basis, as desired. I am planning on Lady Penguin being one of them, unless she objects. If I can get a couple more volunteers, that would be great. (Daughn has already volunteered.)
  • Add 1-3 Authors who will do the very important Dear MAGA daily thread on a nightly basis. Again, I need volunteers. The best people for the Dear MAGA threads are the most reliable – those who try to show up for the beginning of the daily threads every night.

SO – do I have some volunteers?

Note that during this time, I will retain the administrative capabilities but not use them, so that no new members will be added, and anything going into moderation will simply stay there. Authors can add articles, edit them, or take them down as needed.

If we get horrible or illegal troll comments from currently allowed posters (unlikely), you all can dogpile them or notify the FBI, who are watching anyway, so no biggie. Worst case scenario, the author can simply take down the article, which takes down the comments, and when I get back, it’s a huge scandal and we make the leftists pay BIG TIME.

In other words, there won’t be any problems. 😉

So – last call. Any volunteers? Please speak up. I would like to begin this process as soon as possible, so that I feel comfortable disappearing by January Q.
