Dear MAGA: 20190124 Open Topic

This special Q TREEPER THURSDAY open thread is VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA world.

Say what you want, comment on what other people said, comment on people’s comments.  Keep it civil.  Treehouse rules, but expect lots of QAnon.

Remember – your greatest gift to President Trump is FIVE WORDS:

I AM PRAYING FOR YOU

See the January 1st daily thread for the rules of the road, which are few but important.

While the earth remaineth,
seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat,
and summer and winter, and day and night
shall not cease.

Genesis 8:22 (KJV)

Being mindful of the season we are passing through, and yet looking forward to the season to come.

MOAR SHUTDOWN!!!
MOAR, MOAR!!! I’m still not SATISFIED!!!

GA/FL

How many days has the shutdown been going on?

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I don’t know off the top of my head; it’s not like I’ve been counting or anything.
I know that it’s NOT ENOUGH!!!

Curry Worsham
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

…well then, I’d agree.

Curry Worsham

I wouldn’t know because MSNBC stopped putting the number of shutdown days in the corner of their screen.
Hey, wait a minute!
MSNBC stopped putting the number of shutdown days in the corner of their screen.
Does that mean they decided it’s not a good idea to remind their nervous Democrat viewers how long it’s been?

michaelh

That’s code for “Oh noes, they’re WINNING!”

bflyjesusgrl

32-33??

churchmouse

Monday — January 21 — was Day 30, because on Friday, I started seeing tweets anticipating that some government employees would start being laid off that day.
At least one such tweet appeared on an Open thread here.

GA/FL

Nuh-uh. Nope. Never.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

A “one time boost”? Is this somehow supposed to be spent on infrastructure that isn’t a wall?
If not, then they’re going to hire five billion dollars’ worth of agents…then let them all go a year later.
What does she think we’re smoking?

para59r

Okay, lets play with this for a moment. 5 billion is a lot of money to toss at tech. What do you get. You don’t get the tried and true dumb wall that can’t take bribes so that’s a strike against it. But what else might you get. Does PDJT get to pick the technology? No strings?
Maybe slithering snakes under the sands. Iron dogs that can vector on intruders and get tougher the tougher you get with the dogs. Sound attacks, blinding attacks, awesome mobile wind machines that blow people back, mobile heat shields on demand so you can’t get close enough to cross the border, drone swarms with what ever they might carry or do to drive people back?
I bet DARPA would have plenty of toys they’d want to test.
Not that I’d like to see something when you can just have a simple wall.
Not to mention the Dems would shut it down once they got back into control, but personally thinks we can never afford them to have control again come hell or high water.
Okay, that’s my runaway moment. All done. Back to reality. …. Reality? errr…. Hello! Elvis has left the building for some time now. Ackk!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Good points here.
But some of this applies to a wall. too. The wall will not work without maintenance. And its function is not to STOP people, but to slow them down so the Border Patrol can get there and stop them.
Imagine the wall built, then the Dems taking control. They could order the border patrol to sit on their hands. Eventually, the invaders will simply punch holes in the barrier–no one will stop them–and pour through.
It’s KEY that we don’t let them take control again, whether or not the wall is an accomplished fact.

para59r

The military recognizes that obstacles alone are not efficient but as a slow down instrument and to be effective they must be covered by fire. Same concept you speak of. Other than that they channel and become a force multiplier by allowing the defender to strengthen in mass in spots the aggressor will now be more likely to come through. So yep, yep and the last ‘Key’ a definite yep!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

This is the issue that a purely defensive measure faces…or for that matter a blockade or occupation. When the defender’s will fades…it fails.
Obviously one has to figure out how to mount an offensive before that happens. I admit my imagination fails me on how to mount an offensive; but I *know* that is my ignorance and I won’t make an argument from it that therefore nothing can be done. Better minds than mine are at work on the problem.

para59r

You try to pick a weak point or create a weak point and concentrate on punching your hole there.
But I think your question was how do you reinforce a week point under attack
Answer would be a mobile defense force that has eyes far out that is capable of responding in a timely manner with the tools needed to defend and repulse. It is conceivable that this force could be tech with a small force that deploys the tech and a follow on larger force coming to reinforce in case the counter attack is ineffective.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Even that is basically a defensive maneuver, a good one.
My actual question is, how do we defeat them, as opposed to merely stave them off endlessly?
I don’t know that the concept even applies here. It’s not as if we can invade Mexico to get them to stop sending people at our wall.

para59r

Many of these South American countries have laws that basically make it extremely hard to start a business. They need to cut through the graph if they hope to extend prosperity. They need a dose of PDJT’s reg cutting. That would be a great start.

GA/FL

ISRAEL’S WALL IS COVERED BY FIRE – and ours should be as well!

rayzorbak

Just BUY Mexico like we did Alaska or the Louisiana Purchase.
Seems like most “Mexicans” live HERE now anyway.
Send in the Military to clean that shithole up.
Build a much shorter wall at the south.

Pat Frederick

OMG Razorbak–Ron White did a whole comedy sketch on this very idea–keep buying the Central American countries till we buy back the Panama Canal and the we only have to build a very short wall…

Elizabeth Carter

Para, You get what you pay for.
As long as we give invaders jobs and welfare when they come, we are paying them to come. Cut off the money. Don’t let them work here if they are illegal. Deport them with no right to return.
Charge the lawyers, charities and NGO’s with soliciting, aiding and abetting these invaders. Attach their assets, so they don’t make money and charge them triple damages for whatever the invaders cost the USA. If an invader kills an American citizen, charge them with accessory before and after the fact. I am not a lawyer, but you get the idea of what I think might work.
Cut off all support to the countries that encourage this invasion.

Pat Frederick

better question might be what is SHE smoking?

bflyjesusgrl

She missed her Alzheimer’s dose.

para59r

Hide the children so she misses another.

Charlie

Where is the 10 billion for 700 miles of wall BO got from nasty’s leadership in congress?

GA/FL

Pocket lining.

Aubergine

Maybe it’s what President Trump has been spending since day one, building wall?
Because he has been, all along. The press just won’t report it.

phoenixRising

Ohhh T3…
such a lovely photo… thank you for lifting my spirit.
Hope your family events go well… pop in when you can, we will miss you. God bless you.

we got loads of Aspen here in my woods…pretty i the fall, but they tend to snap easily

TheseTruths

I’m just gonna say it…no real man would be caught dead in that outfit.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

TT, none of the guys I dated would have done this on a dare.

Charlie

Funny! What man would intentionally go home to this? or Hildabeast? Imagine brushing your teeth, hearing that voice in the back ground as she spakels her face. YUC!

wheatietoo

That’s creepy…here are the videos:
[youtube

[youtube

.
When I see people in creepy masks like those…it reminds me of how pedos use masks like that when they do terrible things to little kids.
That way, they can ‘comfort’ the kids afterward, as though they weren’t the ones that did the bad things.
Those people are evil.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Pretty darn weird.

kea

That’s putting it mildly. Its like those ‘furries’ but that’s just a little too much for me….

Charlie

Sign of satan worshipers and loved by pedos.

TheseTruths

I thought the same about the masks. The article says the band had kind of an inside joke where they were pretending to be someone else and wore the masks because of that. In one pic they wore bags over their heads because someone had lost his sheep mask. One of the guys is dressed as a nun (not a monk, a nun).
I’m not one of the cool kids who “gets” something like this. I see pedophilic/often satanic masks; men dressed in unmanly clothes appropriate for an infant; a man dressed in the religious attire of a woman in holy orders, seeming to make light of religion; etc. The whole thing is weird.

Harry Lime

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Yikes!

wheatietoo

Yeah, apparently pedos have been using masks for a long time.
The creepy animal masks are a ‘thing’ within the pedo world.comment image

michaelh

That explains that weird Fox TV show.

Harry Lime

Of course it’s a sheep. Why wouldn’t it be a sheep? The material just writes itself.
Robert (Beto) and Sandy (Alexandria) should get together and start some type of children’s show for Saturday mornings where they can dress up and dance around and talk to giant puppets.
On second thought…no…better keep them away from the children.

para59r

Beto might be a closet Furry, lots of Furrys in Austin. Home of the Furrys. Don’t ask what a Furry is, you don’t want to know.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Para, my son had a ‘furry’ in his class.
He had to explain it to me.
What the he$$?
Why would this ever be allowed in a classroom?
Stop. Do not pass go. Straight to the Counselor’s office with these people.
They’re sick.

para59r

Very sick. I don’t think these people had parental supervision after the age of 12. Mind you of course furry people are stepped in this in varying degrees, but it gets extremely deep fast.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

I was stunned. Who in the heck thinks that is normal?

andrew1979

“furry” population is growing fast and gaining acceptance. they have done it by engaging young people like middle schoolers to get inro the costume aspect of it and then people dismiss it when they see these silly kids and think it is a fad and also it makes it not crazy when you see people in public like that because they are foolish kids you think.
it is basically a fetish that goes from completely innocent to super creepy. bunch of kids in my daughters high school were this way (two were trans also) and now i guess she is finding out several people at college are also which is no surprise.

pgroup

For God’s sake, don’t tell him what skritching is.

TakeBackOurRepublic

Beto is a terrible vocalist. No wonder he went into politics.

pgroup

No no – he’s a great vocalist. That’s what we tell him, and we get some actor from central casting to pretend to be a record producer interested in signing him up for American Idol.
Maybe he’ll bite and get the hell out of politics. (only half joking)

Marica

T3!! Your pic makes me think of the phrase–” Can’t see the forest for the Trees” Well– Q Tree peeps SEE the Trees 1st!! Kenton County Prosecutor: We’ve Already Issued Subpoenas and Search Warrants against Online Abusers of Covington School Children
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2019/01/kenton-county-prosecutor-weve-already-issued-subpoenas-and-search-warrants-against-online-abusers-of-covington-school-children-video/
“Rob Sanders: When it comes to the offenses that rise to the felony level we can extradite. Now it’s not as easy as arresting a Twitter handle we can’t just reach out and arrest someone, half the time they’re using a fake name, fake profile picture, that sort of thing. We have to go through the process of issuing subpoenas, search warrants… It’s already underway. I’ve had detectives in and out of my office all day today.”

Marica

Thanks Linda!!! This will NOT GO AWAY!! Thank you for keeping it top and center!! Extremely Important!!!!!

bflyjesusgrl

Sorry Miss Linda, we were on same trail at same time😃

kea

Thanks. The gateway pundit has become a must read site I must admit.

para59r

They were much better when they allowed links and memes like they do here. Articles are often too short and they update with new posts and seldom in original post, but yes. Definitely lots of timely red meat there.

churchmouse

I’ve been reading it since 2016.
I’m not sure why CTH had such a problem with it. It used to irritate me that so many people there called it fake news.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

GP being called fake news came out of the Ferguson mess. That’s when they picked up the label. It was a Facebook campaign I watched in real time.

Elizabeth Carter

DP, I never saw that. Was Gateway Pundit doing fake reports about Ferguson?

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

No, Jim Hoft is always on the money. There was pressure from the comments claiming that they were reporting misinformation.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Jim Hoft is a good man, when through some serious health problems. IMO, the only problem is sometimes, he jumps the gun on a story with a hyperbole type title, but then doesn’t quite have the story right.
He’s done a good job in his support for POTUS.

pgroup

Hoft is queer. Not a good man but he plays at being a good man fairly well. When the Pulse nightclib shooting went down, he decided that it was a queer-hate crime and he came out of the closet to corroborate his own theory. I told him even if it was correct, he should not make the site into a “poor little homos get picked on” site. I said that our anger should be all-American with no identity crap. He refused so I self-banned because I didn’t care what he did since the damage had already been done.
When time went by, it became clear that the attack was a jihadi attack and that homo had little if anything to do with it. Later there were many errors in his reporting so I felt justified in putting GP in my past. If he’s improving then that is a good thing. But he cannot be trusted IMO.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

You’re right too, pgroup. I was giving Hoft the benefit of the doubt and being diplomatic about some of his work. I don’t read his site, but others do. Some of his posts turn out to be true and some are an exaggeration. I do know that his severe health problems he had a while back, he almost died, likely affected him.

churchmouse

Thanks — much appreciated.
That was before my time reading GP and OT.

kea

I think they bring more news then other sites. I don’t like the ads but I can get over it.

churchmouse

Fully agree, kea.

michaelh

I was less impressed with GP when I realized he was borrowing analysis from Sundance and repackaging it. Sometimes he’d reference CTH, sometimes he wouldn’t. There were a couple scoops he got on the Spygate story but nothing that was a game changer.

churchmouse

Thanks, michael, I’d forgotten those.

RAC

Wonder if there’s any “interesting ” people behind the fake name, fake profile pictures.
Stand by for the “Russians hacked my account” defence.

Charlie

Search Warrants! Thought you were just a SJW until your account was exposed. LOL…. What could possibly be found behind fake names, accounts? Open Society International possibly?

Cuppa Covfefe

Yep. They now will go from doxxing to “in the dock”… getting their comeuppance…

pgroup

That’s a Brit phrase. How many here know what it means?

Cuppa Covfefe

Not hard to look it up… and if people read Mark Steyn (or any of a host of BritISH authors), they’d have encountered it before… brig or cooler don’t pun in this context…

Aubergine

THIS is the best news I’ve heard all week!

wheatietoo

Thanks for the nice new Open Thread, TTT!
Love the picture…the warm sun coming up over a frosted landscape.
Looks quiet and still.
The view from inside the trees seems sheltered from the crusty frost that has befallen the clearing outside the sheltering canopy.
Nice.

bflyjesusgrl

This guy was on Ingrahm’s show. Apparently Kentucky has a range of felony charges that they can use against people, one for threatening school personnel or students, which would enable them to haul offenders back to Kentucky for prosecution. For misdemeanors, they have to wait for people to enter Kentucky. Sounds hopeful.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2019/01/kenton-county-prosecutor-weve-already-issued-subpoenas-and-search-warrants-against-online-abusers-of-covington-school-children-video/

wheatietoo

I saw that…and I loved it!
He said they are working with people in other jurisdictions, too.
Which is good to hear.

bflyjesusgrl

Yes and the felony charges have teeth, 1-5yrs per count. Multiple kids, multiple counts! I hope they do prosecute people, we have to fight back and stop this madness!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I’m imagining entire Kentucky state prisons full of Yellow Stream Media pukes.

para59r

Tent cities if they don’t all fit. Hire one of Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s deputies to run it.

We knew H1B was bad, but this…..
“…..analysis of Oracle’s hiring practices between 2013 and 2016, found that 90 percent of the college and university graduate hires were Asian. Labor Department officials call the claimed hiring discrimination an “extreme preference” where Oracle allegedly has hiring guidelines designed to preference foreign Asian and Indian college graduates over young Americans.
“The vast majority of Oracle’s hires through its college recruiting program were international students with student visas, almost all of whom were Asian,” the complaint states. “These students required work authorization to remain in the United States after graduation. In other words, Oracle overwhelmingly hires workers dependent upon Oracle for sponsorship to remain in the United States.”
The Labor Department findings assert that Oracle executives “suppressed starting salaries for its female and non-white employees, assigned them to lower level positions and depressed their wages over the years they worked at Oracle.”
In total, the Labor Department states that Oracle suppressed a total of $400 million in U.S. wages to its female and minority employees.
“[Oracle] impermissibly denies equal employment opportunity to non-Asian applicants for employment, strongly preferring a workforce that it can later underpay,” Labor Department officials said in a complaint.
The multinational corporation, like others, seemingly relies on the annual importation of about 1.5 million foreign visa workers who are often brought to the U.S. to specifically replace Americans in their jobs.”
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/01/23/feds-oracle-discriminated-against-american-minorities-in-favor-of-foreigners/?fbclid=IwAR1NWbxMVxFhjZ1emviQMyTfqAf8b-LELeUUijpxE4LvaQBsEruCD8e66k4

para59r

The really bad part of this is these are the people who are kicking us out of the public square.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Yes, the CEO of Google is an Indian national. In the Breitbart hour long film of their group, post 2016 election, the CEO kept mentioning the problem of a 2 party system, as opposed to a Parliament.
He’s been here for over 25 years but still refers to America as a different country and not as HIS country.

para59r

Yep, and then you have the Norton Security CEO guy from Australia that wants to take away your 2A rights. Who do you turn to? Kaspersky run by the russians? Or McAfee who’s running from the IRS.
https://www.cnet.com/news/john-mcafee-says-he-has-recruited-hundreds-of-masked-lookalikes-for-his-2020-presidential-campaign/
https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/john-mcafee-flees-us-after-irs-charges-him-with-unspecified-crimes/
Hey, serious question, who do you turn to?

para59r

I can already hear andrew giving us the answer … eeep!

andrew1979

if you meant me … sorry! i hate to give out advise about what software to use because i trust none of it! honestly, they prepped us with “virus” issues way back in the day. you know the ones that would delete your hard drive or all your photos or something. then it went mostly to just adware and flat out spyware because that’s where the money is.
and now they don’t even have to download stuff because they’ve tied the spying directly into all the pages you view on the web now so they don’t even have to have a backdoor!
some sketchy sites, yet, you can get drive by items – you just have to know where you are on the web. be careful. don’t click or even HOVER your mouse over an ad (even when scrolling, keep your mouse cursor out of the way of anything it might come over while the page is going up or down) so that might even mean using the keyboard arrow buttons, etc… you can get some just by LOADING a page believe it or not.
the worst are the foolish pop ups where they claim you have computer issues and to call them… i find those are mostly due now to facebook, yahoo, msn.com, and a couple other sites – and due to the ads – i say this because the four people i have to routinely fix this issue for all use those sites religiously even though i implore them not to. however, if they don’t they will miss some big stock thing on yahoo finance, or the video of the president being arrested on yahoo news or msn (not MSM, but the old whackadoodle msn website)
now should you have nothing – no. but i guess use what you feel comfortable with.
and also there are still possibilities of getting downloads and what not…so i am not trying to minimize.
honestly, i tell people 95% of it is being on your toes and knowing where you are going, and like i said, stay away from ads (even hovering over!) ad blockers work pretty decent – but most people say “oh i can’t get to this website now because of this adblocker!” i say, do you really need to go there? you cannot let up for a second and get comfortable and just click and “surf” around…
even this wordpress site is RIDDLED with trackers.
if you get the little dropdown bar at the top with the ad (you can “hide” it with clicking that bar) is chock full of stuff. first off, it is made up of at least 4 or 5 iframes embeded, and all are marketed from google and it’s partners. and some are the bad ones which are just little one pixel images embedded in the site that and the name of the company it links too is sketchy.
but it it what it is. internet is a scary place.

para59r

Yep, so is not washing your hands and fully agree on much of staying. safe is just being aware . The rest of it are things you know. Ty andrew.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

How about the guys who advertise all american run, PCMatic?
Anyone tried them? I don’t know.

NebraskaFilly

Yes, I use them – 2 years now. Got fed up with Norton price going up and up and up and up. $50/year from PCMatic. To my knowledge, I have had no viruses or other problems beyond the fact that my pooter is old and full of junk. And PCMatic can’t fix that.

michaelh

For a serious answer, use Linux.
Of course, that’s not an option for everyone. On Windows VIPRE is good, a little lesser known and not a resource pig, but they’ve been bought and sold so many times I don’t have any idea who owns them now.

Cuppa Covfefe

In the 1990s Oracle, HP, and a number of other companies in the silly valey were nailed for similar violations. Word was that at Oracle, the person sitting next to you might be making $30K more than you. OR, $30K LESS than you… more ‘orrible than Oracle.
A friend of mine told me of a support person, fresh off the boat from Red China, H1-B (or whatever it was back then), wanted to switch departments. MASSIVE amount of paperwork involved, and huge fines/deportation possible if it wasn’t done right. Oracle had this person under their thumb to the point that they worked 15-18 hours per day.
This made life He!! at review (PE) time, as one of the big metrics there was how much time the employess spent at the office, and everyone else was “silently induced” to work excessively long hours…
They have a gym, pool, and many other facilities to keep the employees “on campus”. One of the main buildings (500?) had a grand piano in the lobby…. (hope if was a long way from the pool 🙂 )…

michaelh

Everyone I’ve talked to who left there had stories.

kea

kea

I love that people re tweeting this stuff to that AOC idiot.
https://twitter.com/jason_howerton/status/1088172987956772864

kea

wheatietoo

Haaa…is that the header picture for her twitter account?
I wonder how many ‘takes’ it took for her to come up with that look on her face of: ‘Self-righteous Social Justice Crusader’?

kea

LOL yup. Stick a MAGA hat under it. She used to be on a show called ‘charmed’ there is NO charm about her. But the hate she spews is sooooo telling.

wheatietoo

Apparently, she is so toxic to work with…no one wants to work with her.
She has a reputation for being a ‘toxic diva’ on a set.
She’s married to one of the top Hollywood agents.
So what does it say about her…that even her own husband can’t get work for her.

kea

Yes she seems like a ‘toxic diva’ for sure. My Mom can’t stand her!!!!
I do feel sorry for the kids I must say… like really filling those kids with so much hate. Yuck.
From what I recall she was broke and I do wonder if someone (like Soros) offered her money to do this. It really came out of nowhere. I mean what she’s done? 2 tv shows? Really?

Pat Frederick

you know what’s ironic? Charmed was supposedly about 3 sisters who find out they are witches but are “good” witches who protect the INNOCENT and fight against demons, etc–but Alyssa’s character was the one constantly being seduced by evil and turning against the other sisters…

NebraskaFilly

Well, that shoe fits.

Cuppa Covfefe

No such thing as a “good” witch (or “white magic”, for that matter).
Just another lie from the the father of lies, Satan, foisted on us by Hollyweird and the YSM…

michaelh

It’s all fun and games until you’re entangled in occult practice.

kea

OMG your right. I never thought of it like that. I must admit I did watch the first season and stopped after that (writing went down hill big time).

RAC

Didn’t recognize it, not often you see her with her mouth shut.

churchmouse

Here’s a great tweet to share with people whining about the shutdown:

churchmouse

The guy from Arizona, the ex-Dem whistleblower (Dems being paid by cartels), tweeted this:

Here’s the NBC tweet:

michaelh

OK so let me understand this.
The best way to teach your children about their whiteness, white imperialism, and teach them anti-racism…
…is to sent them to a private school?
Privilege much?
Wow, these people are totally blind to their own racism. The left creates these little bubbles for themselves and then project their moral own deficiencies on everyone else.

churchmouse

This x1000!!
Thank you.
The pretzel logic in his article boggled my mind.
This subject came up on yesterday’s Howie Carr Show in a bigger discussion about Covington Catholic.
One middle-aged man rang in to say that he was fed up with the media telling him and other white people that they are inherently racist. Where he works and lives, he said, everyone treats people like people — in a multi-racial community.
Again, I think Blexit will resolve a lot of this negative rhetoric. From the Breitbart article last weekend, in addition to blacks, a lot of Hispanics and Pacific Islanders attended the first Blexit conference in LA.

Aubergine

This article is so stupid, it boggles the mind.
I grew up in a public school in the deep South. We were about 45% black, 55% white. There was no “other” category. Not one hispanic. We has a Polish kid, and we thought he was terribly exotic.
We all got along fine. Played sports together, went on field trips together, just generally had a good time. This was in the late seventies-early eighties, though, so there wasn’t much dating. It was just not done, because it wasn’t “time” yet. What the SJW crowd doesn’t get is that changing attitudes takes TIME, and when you attempt to FORCE people, they do the OPPOSITE of what you want.
I think the article is good for one thing, however. I sure makes a great argument for school choice.

churchmouse

Brilliant comment with an even more brilliant conclusion!

Aubergine

Thank you churchmouse. I appreciate all the brilliance of commenters here. I learn something new literally every day, from you and others.

‘Thank you churchmouse.’ You’re most welcome, Aubergine.
Agree that we are all learning from each other here. It’s such a pleasure to read Q Tree posts and have a dialogue with fellow commenters.

Anti-white racism is another tool in the Leftist/globalist playbook, and many people allow themselves to be led into the hate without critical thinking.
Racism used to be about the civil rights of blacks and some others. We’ve made huge progress in that area over the past decades, so they have to come up with some other kind of identity politics to pit us against one another. So now it’s just fine to foment racism toward whites while claiming whites are racist. What is alarming is the number of people who fall for this kind of manufactured social engineering.
I think BLEXIT is a huge threat to the NWO. Part of the reason for the push against whites is that the black community is waking up. Discrediting whites also destroys our history and heritage and promotes open borders. (If you don’t want “those people” coming in with no restrictions, you must be racist.)
The Left has to have a foil, a way to pit groups against one another. They do it with identity politics and fake cries of racism. They lie, all the time. This is part of the plan to destroy America.

andrew1979

white people are tripping over themselves to believe all this too and are frankly “embarrassed by their white privilege” which is now beat into them so much they actually think it exists in reality.
if they would just let us get along, guess what, by now we’d all be getting along. forget the past, we are here now, move on and be civil.
but they will not let us.

I heard Christopher Brooks of Evangel Ministries speak. Black pastor doing urban ministry in Detroit. Amazing stuff to help people out of poverty.
During Q&A he was asked about the problem of rural poverty. He said he had been doing the research and the problem of white poverty and of rural poverty is by the numbers worse than black poverty, but because it isn’t concentrated in urban centers people don’t see it and are ignorant of it. Further almost nothing was seriously being done about it because so many churches are focused on urban ministry (which is a good thing, a revival of urban ministry is needed and more needs to be done) but were doing nothing about rural poverty and rural ministry, where the needs are unfathomable. It’s one thing to be out of work trying to survive in the inner city, but what if you in subsistence poverty miles away from your closest neighbor?
All that so-called “white privilege” means nothing when you can’t even put food on the dinner table for your kids.

michaelh

Yes he did! He’d probably be shocked if someone pointed it out, too:
“That could mean voting to raise taxes so to better fund public schools. Maybe in our case it should have meant choosing a public school rather than a private one.”
Wow, shocking how blind this person is to his own contradictory thinking! It’s like his mind is completely incapable of consistently coherent thought – like a cultist determined to defend the tribal dogma and can’t even hear the contradictions in their own words.

The 2017 article from The Independent says:
‘Mexico has surpassed Iraq and Afghanistan to become the world’s second-most deadly conflict zone after Syria, according to a study of wars around the globe.
‘The number of fatalities from the expanding war among Mexico’s criminal cartels grew to 23,000 in 2016, compared with 17,000 in Afghanistan and 16,000 in Iraq, according to the annual Armed Conflict Survey by the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
‘That level of bloodshed was all the more surprising, because “Mexico is a conflict marked by the absence of artillery, tanks or combat aviation,” IISS director general John Chipman said in remarks at the survey’s launch in London on Tuesday. Virtually all of those deaths were caused by small arms …’

2 years ago my (liberal) daughter and her family went to Mexico on vacation–we were terrified till they got back. Daughter kept saying nothing happens at these resorts–they’re safe. Then someone opened fire on one of those beaches and killed many tourists. They are still planning on returning as soon as they can afford another big vacation…she’s not stupid–but she is a teacher. I worry for her.

churchmouse

Surely, there are couple other other destinations in Latin America that are just as nice, probably moreso (e.g. Costa Rica).
You are right to be worried for your daughter and her family on these holidays in Mexico.
‘… she’s not stupid–but she is a teacher.’ Commiserations.

Pat Frederick

it’s a constant argument in their family–son-in-law wants to go to yosemite camping/snowmobiling in the winter, she likes beaches…guess who wins?
we gently push to show our grandchild America first (pun intended) but she rules their roost.

churchmouse

Wow.

michaelh

Sadly working in education, unless you’re already well grounded, becomes an insular ideological bubble. There is a constant firehose of ideological toxic waste, and a bureaucracy that values yes-men er yes-persons rather than results. Because it’s all tax-payer funded there is no checks/balances or accountability in the system to allow failures to fail.
On top of all that there is the pride of being an educator: One truly believes they are smarter, more noble, more educated, and better informed than others, on a moral mission to inculcate their values (lol not so much “educate”) on their students. (“Their students”, as in, not the “parent’s children”.)
One would be hard-pressed to find a more insular impenetrable thought bubble.

churchmouse

This x1000!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

This, of course, is the explanation for a LOT of things I have seen.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

…And it surely has a lot to do with the journalistic mindset as well. Not government funded to be sure (well, at least not entirely) but it’s a very insular bubble filled with people who started out as idealistic young crusaders.

michaelh

I agree. Journalism has always attracted people who want to shake the pillars of society, challenge the “establishment” (whatever that is this week), and change society to the vision of utopia. In other words, young people without real world experience who are filled with passions and dreams and ideals for cosmic justice, but who can’t even keep their bedrooms clean.

Pat Frederick

I see it more like arrogance.
She was simultaneously complaining about rising taxes (school and real estate) and her need for a raise. I looked at her and said, you know your raise is a contributing factor in rising real estate taxes and completely for the school tax? All your benefits, your salary is provided thru taxes. So the more you want, the more everyone –and that includes you–has to pay in taxes.
The look on her face was priceless…then she shrugged…we’re worth it she said.

michaelh

YES! Arrogance! It starts with pride and mushrooms up into arrogance.
I love good teachers, but you know what is a stronger predictor of positive outcomes for children?
Good parents.
They matter like 1000x more, it’s not even comparable really. But nobody advocates for giving parents raises – no, instead they advocate to raise their taxes.
Every time they issue a new bond and raise school taxes, they either build more buildings or play a shell game with parents about where the money is going. It never actually goes toward anything that move the needle on outcomes with the kids. Voters keep passing these bonds – then a year later like clockwork “What happened? How did my property taxes go up so much?!”
They always need more money – where does it go? To hire more administration. Some so-called knowledge specialist in some oddball discipline or another.
It’s such a joke that even among my conservative teacher friends they’re all working toward or have a Master’s degree and specialize their skills to get some other role than a traditional teacher. They know the system is rigged and say as much.

Cuppa Covfefe

The three most dangerous words with regard to the Ed Biz: In Loco Parentis
The Ed Biz is LOCO, indeed, and has NO PLACE or RIGHT to stand for (or against, or in the way of) parents. For the children are OUR CHILDREN, and we are responsible before GOD that they are properly raised and trained.
The Ed Biz has no such obligation, even when they hide behind three Latin words which they most likely don’t understand, either by concept or context…

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

When I was in high school, my folks and I would make the 14hr drive to slip over the border into Mexico 3-4 times a year. Breakfast of fresh orange juice and chicken tacos was a favorite. I often was allowed to bring a girlfriend with me. Think about it. My dad was a 6’2″ Marine, but he was in charge of 3 Auburn haired, green-eyed, tall, women. We would never do it today.
When my son was thinking about the Naval Academy, he got an offer to work at a dive shop in Cozumel for the summer and finish his PADI Master Scuba License. I’ve been to Cozumel a dozen times in the 80’s. He was still a minor. Nope. Where he had to live, for a summer long stint, was too dangerous.

andrew1979

no offense to teachers here – but here i go.
teachers are in my mind in the TOP 5 of the evil tools being used against us today.
i have relatives that are teachers and former teachers.
my job revolves around school districts.
i know teachers. i hear things, i see things.
i had a client call one day and complain to me about something with our product. the next week she was online arrested having sex with one of her students. this is not a joke.
widespread administrative grift and overreach and too many admins period.
they sucker you with this: “don’t you care about your children??????” and guilt you into more money.
quick story of the mentality of a teacher:
at my daughters kindergarten celebration years ago, a teacher at the school had been named a “top teacher” and got an award of some kind. i think it was like top 5 in the state or region, got a big plaque and money for her classroom, etc…
so she gets up and cries and thanks everyone and then THANKED US for LETTING HER teach our children and be able to do her DREAM JOB that she would do for free if she had to because teaching the future was her PASSION! round of explosive applause.
fast forward 12 weeks, summer vacation is over, i walk my daughter to school for first grade, different school building – and she can’t wait to go on the playground at the new school. that teacher and a bunch of others are walking ominously back and forth in front of the playground. looking all somber and holding a couple small what i later found out were signs.
so i think “wow! so cool, they are all out here to meet the kids and watch them on the playground first day…and there’s that one that would do it for free!”
so there are a few other kids over on the basketball court, nobody on the playground. we go over and my daughter is running to the swing, and teacher says “oh can’t go over there.”
i say, what’s up? she angrily points to her chest where there’s a “It’s for the children! Support your teachers and raise the budget!”
i am like what the heck because i didn’t even bother looking at newspapers and i figured the $35 million a year was enough…
so she says “we are picketing out here and not watching the playground there is no monitor to watch the kids they can’t go on the playground”
i said, hey, aren’t you the teacher that won that award? the one that cried and told us you’d do it for free because it was your passion? well i guess we all now know the truth and guess what? my daughter can go on the swings and if these other kids want to come over then i’ll watch them and why don’t you guys go inside because you are scaring them.
two got around me and started telling me it was their right. i said, are you on strike? because i heard you “MIGHT” go on strike, so if you aren’t then you can’t picket, and you need to fulfill your job and monitor this playground for these little kids.
by now a couple parents came over and were wondering what was up, and instead of explaining the teachers all went inside and none stayed out to watch the kids.
that’s the PASSION these people bring to influence our youth. and the drivel and hate they teach them now, openly in class, well you can imagine.

michaelh

*spit*
Yes that’s right. She got teacher of the year award thanks to all her hard work for the teacher’s union.
Good job on exposing them. Would’ve been nice if others had realized it too but you definitely rained on their parade.

This kind of suspicion needs to go viral to put pressure on Pelosi and the Dems. And it would be great if someone had a way to find out the truth.

churchmouse

He might well be working on it, with those he trusts.

And now they’re out there pushing BS Presidential job approval polls again. Why they think after making up 99.9999% of the news day in and day out that somehow they’re going to get us to believe in their fabricated polls that they invented is beyond me. The stupidity is unbearable…and relentless.

michaelh

Because many people still hear polling results and think “Oh, that’s what the main stream is thinking, I guess that must be true.”

Pompeo’s Davos speech in full, with transcript:

Transcript (excerpted, emph. mine):
https://www.state.gov/secretary/remarks/2019/01/288524.htm
‘…It’s interesting times that we live in. Over the past few years, all around the world, voters have tuned out politicians and political alliances that they thought weren’t representing their interests. A few examples of new directions that people have taken: Brexit; the election of President Macron in France; the rise of the Five Star Movement in Italy; Mahathir’s comeback in Malaysia; and of course, Borge, as you referenced, the election of President Donald Trump.
‘In Ohio, Rio de Janeiro, and in Rome, people are asking questions that haven’t been asked, or at least haven’t been taken seriously, in an awfully long time. Is economic globalization really good for me? Are our political leaders adequately protecting us from threats like terrorism? Are they working to secure our national interests abroad?
‘You all know this: New winds are blowing across the world. The central question is this: Do they signal fair weather or foreshadow a storm? Is this pattern of disruption a force for good or not?
I’d argue that this disruption is a positive development. We are embracing time-tested truths. Truths like this: Nations matter. No international body can stand up for a people as well as their own leaders can. Strong borders are key to strong nations. This is how we keep our people safe and protect our sovereignty …’

Nancy says ‘no’ to a January 29 SOTU (check out the comments, v. interesting mix):

This is what Nancy said in November 2018. The media will run with this narrative all year long:

GA/FL

Pelosi has let a little bit of power go to her head. She’s trying to stop the wall by sheer force of her will. Likely the donors and owners (drug/human traffickers) are putting pressure on her to take this stand.
However, more and more Democrats are beginning to see the fact that (despite CBS fake poll) the MAJORITY OF AMERICANS WANT THE WALL and the WALL is very much needed to protect our country!
The President won’t cave.
He knows the WALL is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY – a NATIONAL SECURITY, ECONOMIC AND HEALTH ISSUE.
THE WALL has been being built non-stop since he was elected!

Pat Frederick

you know, if I were in Congress, I would drive to the border and assess for myself what was going on…or maybe listen to the BP recommendations…or buy a vowel!
they must be getting an awful lot of money to be so willfully stupid.

GA/FL

Nancy Botox and her coterie of Dems should have been flying to OUR BORDER rather than Europe and Afghanistan!!!

Pat Frederick

agreed–that’s their job! we have a State Department to cover foreign issues.

Cuppa Covfefe

If they weren’t in Congress/Washington D.C., they should have been back in their home states/districts, working with/for THE PEOPLE WHOM THEY REPRESENT!!!
Hence the term “House of REPRESENTATIVES”, Ms. Piglosi…

TheseTruths

“Likely the donors and owners (drug/human traffickers) are putting pressure on her to take this stand.”
This kind of speculation needs to be ramped up so it goes mainstream, and then people in prominent positions need to start asking Pelosi and others these questions. “Speaker Pelosi, the people want to know if your opposition to a wall has anything to do with Mexican drug cartels and/or trafficking and the money that is being made off of them.” We need the Internet ablaze with these questions, memes to this effect, and to flood all the anti-wall Dems with these questions every time they’re in public.

GA/FL
churchmouse

He is not wrong.
Thanks for the link.
For those who haven’t read the article, this is what Levin said:
‘Although Pelosi was elected as one of 435 members of the House, representing only San Francisco, she climbed her way to the top of leadership only to hijack the government appropriations process and shut down part of the government; block the president from delivering the State of the Union address in the House for the first time ever; and, obstruct border security to protect the American citizenry and immigrants alike and uphold national sovereignty.
‘It is Pelosi, not Trump, who is the authoritarian.’

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Pelosi also thinks her ‘branch’ of government is equal to the Exec branch.
Well, she is only 1/2 of the legislative branch. She doesn’t run it.

churchmouse

Exactly. She must have been fuming during her two (?) years when the GOP led the House to act in such a reprehensible way.
To think what could have happened a week ago today. Prayers of thanksgiving are still in order — because one can never say ‘thank you’ too late or too seldom — as well as prayers that the good Lord continues to protect PDJT, VPMJP, their families and the administration.

michaelh

Wow, a very CURT reply from Queen Pelosi.
“Mr. President: When *I*…”
It must be such an imposition for her to have to stoop to respond to that insignificant barbarian.

‘Native American activist Nathan Phillips has violent criminal record and escaped from jail as teenager’
Excerpt:
‘In his own teenage years and early 20s, Phillips, using his adoptive name Nathaniel R. Stanard, was charged with escaping from prison, assault, and several alcohol-related crimes, according to local news reports at the time from his hometown of Lincoln, Neb.
‘Phillips, who was 19 at the time, was “charged with escaping from the Nebraska Penal Complex where he was confined May 3,” according to a May 9, 1974, article in the Lincoln Star. The court approved a bond of $500 and set a preliminary hearing for May 14.’

NEWT!

GA/FL

I once spent an evening with Newt Gingrich – one on one. It was an innocent evening, mind you!
We were both pimpledy-face barely 15 years old kids. It was my first cheerleader trip to Panama City Beach, FL the Summer of 1960. I went to a county school near Valdosta and he went to a school in Columbus, GA.
The cool kids went to dance at the old Band Shell, but Newt and I didn’t go. We sat on the patio of the hotel talking about, guess what – politics! He was calling himself LeRoy McPherson – the name of his biological father then. He the same guy we know today. He did most of the talking (pontificating/lecturing) and I was asking the questions. He obviously had a crush on his teacher, whom he later married.
Our friends thought we were funny to just sit and talk – and teased us. The word Nerd wasn’t in our vocabulary then, but they would have used it, of course. Little did they know.

““So we’re just say to, we’re just saying to the Speaker, ‘Give us a vote, just give us a vote,’” she repeated.”
As we’ve all seen, she has made countless verbal (mental) mistakes (twice naming “Bush” instead of “Trump”, for one). I think we need a mental-health check on ol’ Nan … just like a proof-of-life check on ol’ RBG.
I’d also like to have transparency on ALL medications, which can affect the mind, that members of Congress have been prescribed.

It’s common practice to sign things with a signature machine, or sometimes aides can do it if they can come up with something reasonably close. Otherwise someone’s entire day could be sent simply signing things.
On the other hand, something THIS important shouldn’t be left to machines or staffers.
I recall reading, as a kid, of someone who had to sign some huge quantity of banknotes in time for them to be shipped somewhere (this was sometime in the 1800s); he suffered terribly for weeks aftwerwards. (I think this may have been in the Guiness Book of Records, but I cannot find it now.)

Microsoft is taking their job as guardians of the “truth” seriously.
No need to install: Microsoft has controversial fake news filter NewsGuard built into mobile browser
https://www.rt.com/news/449530-newsguard-edge-browser-media-integrated/
From the article:
Corporate and neocon-backed startup NewsGuard is one step closer to its vision of bringing its “unreliable” news rater to every screen after Microsoft makes it an integral part of its Edge mobile browser.
Rather than having to download an app as before, Edge users on Android and Apple devices can now just click one button to enable its “green-red rating signal if a website is trying to get it right or instead has a hidden agenda or knowingly publishes falsehoods or propaganda.”
Among the green-rated websites: Voice of America, CNN, Buzzfeed, the Guardian, New York Times and the Washington Post, as well as left-leaning upstarts such as Vice News and Refinery 29. Ones that are given the red warning label of “failing to maintain basic standards of accuracy and accountability”: RT and Sputnik (obviously enough) and the right-wing Daily Mail, Breitbart and the Drudge Report, in addition to hundreds of other non-mainstream news websites such as Wikileaks.
DP comment: so in this case, red light is good.

That’s that propaganda-laundering outfit that I mentioned a few days ago.

‘Remarks by President Trump in Meeting with Conservative Leaders on His Immigration Proposal’
https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/remarks-president-trump-meeting-conservative-leaders-immigration-proposal/
It’s quite critical of Nancy.
Excerpts (emph. mine):
‘… I would say this: That the State of the Union speech has been cancelled by Nancy Pelosi because she doesn’t want to hear the truth. She doesn’t want the American public to hear what’s going on. And she’s afraid of the truth. And the super-left Democrats, the radical Democrats — what’s going on in that Party is shocking. I know many people that were Democrats and they’re switching over right now, and they’re switching over quickly. So I hope they know what they’re doing for their Party. So far, they haven’t. If you know, I won the Senate — meaning we won the Senate altogether — but we get no credit for that. They don’t talk about that. They talk about the House …
‘I will say that the American people want to hear the truth. They have to hear the truth. And the truth is all about — and said, I think and I hope, well — we were planning on doing a really very important speech in front of the House and the Senate, the Supreme Court, and everybody else that’s there. It’s called the State of the Union. It’s in the Constitution. We’re supposed to be doing it …’

GA/FL

AMEN, MR. PRESIDENT!!!

Emeraldstar

“the transcript of his remarks”
I’ve found that he written record of VSGPDJT’s live speech fails MISERABLY to convey the meaning, and power, of his spoken words.
I consider “transcripts” (also used in Court) to be deceptive, by omission. I view written accounts to be the “broken word”, when in the context of the “spoken word”.
During the rallies, I was able to reach / find understanding of every nuance, every pause or redirect, of his SPOKEN words (and the thinking behind them), and I found tremendous meaning and insight. Reading the antiseptic “transcripts”, however, after having HEARD and SEEN the live event, left me wanting.
One must choose the WHOLE, first, for best understanding … before clinically dissecting / analyzing / destroying that WHOLE into PARTS. And, the transcript is only a SINGLE part – NOT all parts together.
In calculus, a “partial derivative” is a one-dimensional take on a three-dimensional thing (I simplify here for thrust). With a three-dimensional “thing”, one of those dimensions can be decreasing … while the other two are increasing. In short, partial derivatives are just that – PARTIAL, and NOT whole.
Again, the SPOKEN word (actual speech) is far greater than the BROKEN word (mere transcripts).

Cuppa Covfefe

As the father of a severely hearing-impaired son, I must say that transcripts are often all that are available to those with hearing problems, especially severe ones.
Granted, nothing is quite the same as seeing and hearing the words and gestures of a speaker, the mimics, the facial expressions, the tiny nuances that can only be picked up “live”. And the written word often fails miserably at that.
But sometimes, for some folks, that’s all that there is…

And, faintly in the distance is the image of Jesus, next to Pilate, facing the crowd which is rabidly yelling “Crucify him, Crucify him, Crucify him”…
John 16 says:
16 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
4 But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.
5 But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?
6 But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
17 Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
18 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.
19 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?
20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
29 His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.
30 Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
31 Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?
32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

As usual, our government agencies do NOT have our best interests at heart. FDA = BIG PHARMA – like we really NEED a more potent version of fentanyl??!!??
“Four US senators wrote to the head of the FDA, Dr Scott Gottlieb, late last year urging him not to allow Dsuvia, a powerful opioid pill, on to the market because it was “to the detriment of public health”.
Dsuvia is a branded narcotic sufentanil pill, a more potent version of fentanyl, made by Californian pharmaceutical company AcelRx. The signatories included Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia, whose state has the highest rate of opioid overdose deaths in the country.
“This puzzling and unacceptable course of events is unfortunately reminiscent of previous FDA processes and practices that contributed to the opioid epidemic,” the letter said.”
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/jan/24/fda-opioids-big-pharma-prescriptions

NebraskaFilly

“The FDA’s credibility has been badly damaged by the opioid crisis amid accusations that at times it behaved less as a regulator overseeing the pharmaceutical industry than a business partner of drug manufacturers. The agency helped unleash the epidemic two decades ago when it approved the sale of a high strength narcotic pill, OxyContin, as safer and more effective than other painkillers on the say so of the manufacturer, Purdue Pharma, and without requiring clinical trials. Since then the FDA has approved other opioids for wide prescribing even as evidence mounted the drugs were addictive, open to abuse and often not effective for long-term use.
The FDA was also embarrassed by revelations that officials responsible for opioid approvals were taking part in “pay to play” schemes in which manufacturers paid to attend meetings to draw up the criteria for approving prescription narcotics.
Donald Trump’s opioid commission identified the failure of the FDA and other federal institutions to properly regulate opioids and their manufacturers as an important factor in the epidemic.”

NebraskaFilly

“An advisory committee rejected the drug in 2017 over safety concerns. The senators said that they were “deeply troubled” that when Dsuvia was resubmitted for consideration the following year, the FDA excluded members of the agency’s drug safety committee from the hearing. The senators also said they were concerned because the decision was made when Brown, a strong critic of Dsuvia, was absent at a professional conference in San Francisco.
“There’s no question in my mind right that they did that on purpose,” he said. “The FDA has a lack of transparency. They use the advisory committees as cover.”

Gil

Theres no need for it. The people involved at fda are corrupt. Unless its a long acting drug that replaces multiple doses of fentanyl, which this probably isnt, theres no necessity.

michaelh

We don’t need the FDA.
There’s a lot of fear mongering out there, as if the FDA were the only thing standing between civilization and a humanitarian medical apocalypse. Total BS. Underwriter’s Laboratories does a great job with certifying electrical devices. Plenty of opportunity for the same in medicine.

They didn’t want to say, “All Indians go to room whatever, so they said, “All those from grade school “B” go to room whatever”.
‘Someone from the Federal Government talked for a while and then appaerentlynotice a couple of the students there looked rather white. She then left the room and came back a couple of minutes later with one of the teachers, and that teacher told the other white student and myself we weren’t needed there. But it was too late to keep us from hearing all the students there would get a full scholarship to College with a only a 2.0 GPA. Of course, that didn’t mean us as though we had both gone to the 90% Indian Grade School, we were white, e.g. less than 1/4 Indian.’

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I am horrible at guessing PDJT’s next move, but I’m thinking he’ll give some sort of prominent address that is a stripped down version of the SOTU he was going to give, with the removed material replaced by stuff explaining everything the Democrats have done to make the shutdown more painful (e.g., blocking pay to federal workers).
It won’t be an official SOTU to Congress (so it won’t fulfill the constitutional requirement) but it will get the information that Pelosi does not want the American people to hear, out to the American people anyway.

para59r

I’m sticking with my previous post and adds at the end of it.
“He said very near future. What is plain is that Nancy is not going to budge no matter what. I’m thinking maybe he might be teeing up to do the National Security Crisis Declaration for the Southern border and thus put govt back to work. Makes sense?
Also the vote in the Senate for the President’s position on the wall, did that happen yet. If the senate gets a full 51 votes (doesn’t win the vote but) that might of been the test he was waiting for. Has it happened yet? Mitchell may of already counted the the repub votes if it hasn’t.”
Another test or indicator is the recent SC decision on Trans in the Military. The SC allowed the ban until such time as the SC could hear the the case next year.
I think PDJT no longer fears congress or the SC will stop his emergency declaration and the SC will reach down and elevate the case out of National Security concerns after some lower dweeb court tries to stop it. It might take some months for that to play out, but it will play out much faster than any might think. IMO that is what Sebastian Gorka might be pointing to.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I’m not sure if you think I’m disagreeing with you, but if so, I don’t think so, really. We’re not really disagreeing since I was talking specifically about SOTU.and you’re talking about him getting the wall one way or the other. In my mind, all indications are, he’ll have to do it without Congress. I see maybe a five percent chance Congress will capitulate and vote to fund the wall.

After condemning the students without knowing their side—they did not call for an investigation on Friday—they are now going to probe this “very serious matter that has already permanently altered the lives of many people.” It sure has—the students have been damaged. Many clergy these days, including Catholic bishops and archbishops, lean Left — hence the rudeness.
Remember the expression from (the 1970s which continued into) the 1980s: ‘knee-jerk reaction’? That’s what we’re seeing here.
Admittedly, pressure could also have been applied by outsiders, but it probably did not take much for senior clergy to react negatively towards these boys.

Do be ready though, should Trump actually proceed with the RIF, for the media to highlight the bump it will cause in the unemployment numbers. There will be the standard YSM caterwaul. Many, many people live paycheck to paycheck, and that includes people who make a lot more money than you or me. They have a bigger house (and mortgage), newer, more expensive cars, a high balance on their plastic, etc., etc. I’m personally guilty of some of that, but better off than most.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

I was thinking he was talking to the lawyers in the place. Honest to God, on Christmas morning, the cross bearer was kneeling for the Eucharistic prayer and toward the end of it she passed out and hit her head on the marble floor. So, the pastor says, is there a doctor. Five people went up to help. Another choir member leans over to me and says, I bet if he asked for a lawyer there would have been twice as many.
That parish is right on the edge of the county buildings where the courthouse is. I’m sure he was talking to the lawyers because anyone who benefited from social workers would be affected by the state.

Republican Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska also plan to vote for both Trump’s offer and the Democratic plan, reported Axios. A CA state lawmaker who ran as a R, just won reelection in San Diego, has just switched parties to D. Isnt that convenient? Im not familiar, but it sounds as if he never WAS conservative. Of course he blames POTUS.
A moderate California Republican state lawmaker is switching parties while criticizing President Donald Trump’s policies and leadership.
Brian Maienschein is seen in a photo posted to his campaign website.
Assemblyman Brian Maienschein announced Thursday that he is becoming a Democrat, saying he and the Republican Party have moved in different directions since he was elected in 2012.
He says Trump has led the party “to the extreme.”
Maienschein represents the border city of San Diego. He says he differs with the Republican Party on immigration as well as health care, gun control, abortion and gay rights.
He has sometimes voted with Democrats on environmental and human services legislation. His defection gives Democrats an overwhelming 61 votes in the 80-member Assembly.
He won re-election by 607 votes in November. Assembly Republican Leader Marie Waldron called him a “turncoat” who switched for political expediency.

My thought, as well. What can they do, expel the children — and risk a lawsuit? The school’s wishes do not trump the parents’ freedom of speech.

NebraskaFilly

Sandmann’s parents have hired an experienced attorney:
“Nick Sandmann’s family has hired a high-profile attorney who has handled lawsuits against media outlets.
In a news release sent by the Hemmer DeFrank Wessels law firm, the family announced it has hired L. Lin Wood of Atlanta.
“…Todd McMurtry, the family’s legal counsel, conducted an extensive search to find a nationally-recognized attorney skilled in the fields of libel, defamation, and the First Amendment,” the release said.
Wood represented JonBenet Ramsey’s brother in a $750 million defamation suit against CBS. The suit accused CBS of ruining Burke Ramsey’s reputation after a television series suggested he killed his 6-year-old sister more than two decades ago.”

phoenixRising

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/new-york-legislature-votes-to-protect-roe-legalize-abortion-up-to-birth
Here are eight facts about New York’s new abortion law:
– The “fundamental” right to abortion is enshrined in the New York Constitution. “Every individual who becomes pregnant has the fundamental right to choose to carry the pregnancy to term, to give birth to a child, or to have an abortion, pursuant to this article,” the law states.
– The law allows non-physicians to perform abortions. “A health care practitioner licensed, certified, or authorized under title eight of the education law, acting in his or her lawful scope of practice, may perform an abortion,” the law states.
– The law allows abortion through the third trimester, including up to birth. “Third-trimester abortion will be allowed under the new law when a preborn child is diagnosed with a condition that will cause him or her to die at or shortly after birth,” Live Action reported.

phoenixRising

– The law removes protections for babies who survive an abortion procedure. “The new law removes protections for babies born alive after an abortion — meaning they could be left to die after birth — by rescinding a portion of New York’s public health law,” Live Action reported. Late-term abortions, until now, were illegal in the state of New York.
– The law prevents pregnant women whose babies are killed in an attack on the mother from seeking justice and could result in infanticide by repealing the requirement for a second physician to be on hand in case an attempted abortion past 20 weeks yields a live infant.
– The law states that an unborn child cannot be a victim of homicide if he dies while in the womb following an attack on the mother. “‘Person,’ when referring to the victim of a homicide, means a human being who has been born and is alive,” the law states.
– Pro-abortion advocates said the law would protect legal abortion even in the event that the U.S. Supreme Court overturns the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision to make abortion legal — a decision that did no go as far as the New York law. “[The law] not only increases access to abortion across the board, including late-term abortions but also goes beyond Roe, which left some limits in place,” Catholic News Service reported.
https://www.osv.com/OSVNewsweekly/Article/TabId/535/ArtMID/13567/ArticleID/27447/Pro-lifers-NY-abortion-bill-could-one-day-make-being-pro-life-a-crime-.aspx

That sounds like a law just ripe to go all the way to the Supreme Court. And if RBG is gone by that time, it could bring abortion crashing down. Please God, let it happen!

Molly Pitcher

Now if it was puppies…can we imagine the outrage? That’s the level of dystopia we’re at today.

phoenixRising

phoenixRising

– The law is to “prevent the enforcement of laws or regulations that are not in furtherance of a legitimate state interest in protecting a woman’s health that burden abortion access.”
New York’s Democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the bill into law.
My only child, a daughter, was adopted. She was born 10:15 a.m. on the 22nd day of January 1973.
Roe v Wade was settled at 10:15 a.m. on the 22nd day of January 1973.

Kea posted that Rosie memo (see below) yesterday on how drum gate ended. It was quite clear from that video that drum gate was an orchestrated event and the persons with drum guy wanted the students to stay because they were not finished with their protest (hadn’t gotten what they wanted yet which was likely a physical confrontation to be caught on vid). Read some of the comments on the Rosie memo to see what I’m talking about here.

Consider the time and effort that went into lynching Kavanough. It was thought out and prepared for quite a length of time. It even seemed to have multiple execution points on when Kavanough might be selected for confirmation that dated back to earlier dates. These people think way ahead in preparing these scenarios is the point.
Along comes Amy Barret, next likely target. How do you get to Amy Barret and make it seem innocent. She her self may seem unassailable or perhaps there’s a need to soften the target. How to soften the target. An indirect attack at the a pro catholic event seems right and thus this drum gate business.
Now along comes this letter to parents. Seriously Covington and or diocese has no business doing this even in attempt to head off law suits and most everyone whose seen this is in agreement its some sort of trap to get students caught up in some sort of thought crime. Read the comments on GWP to see what I mean.
So given the orchestrated event, a history of extended planning, the hard unassailable target, a need for an indirect attack, and this permission slip for students to speak with investigators I’d wonder then if extended planning does not go all the way back to the school or dioceses it self since they were providing the fodder in the form of the students who come annually to this event. Then when the students could not be provoked and the story falls a part they make a last ditch effort to catch the students in a thought crime and use that to bolster their case against the students.
Anyway, the media’s over the top reporting on this even after giving the facts and holding out from those facts makes this whole episode quite strange and then the permission slip thing ? Too weird not to consider it part of an attempt to salvage the plan and smear the students.
Sorry, runaway mind thing again 🙂

my sympathy for the “unpaid workers” is barely on the scale. it’s about more than that.

A friend just said something that is profound if ya ask me…………..regarding PTrump and deals.. the problem is, he’s never met anyone that DOESN’T WANT A DEAL AT ALL.

MysticRose80

The life of a double agent is a tough one (i.e. having to remain an undercover MAGA/Trump supporter among my mostly liberal circle….DMV life).
One of my friends shared this article with me and another friend:
Exclusive: White House preparing draft national emergency order, has identified $7 billion for wall
https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/24/politics/trump-border-wall-emergency-draft/index.html?utm_medium=social&utm_content=2019-01-24T22%3A15%3A16&utm_source=fbCNN&utm_term=link
This is major, if true. Of course my friend was outraged about it and I had to play the role of the “tired of it all and being divorced from politics” person.

Molly Pitcher

I understand your position. My daughter was telling me that a newly minted partner in the law firm where she works has become increasingly hostile. This same woman was almost unbearable after DJT was elected. Anyhoo, the woman has been snarky and condescending to the everyone including the top atty who is practically a saint. A Christian man who not only talks the talk but walks it too. Daughter was wondering WTH is up.
I kinda snuck it in and said ya know, maybe her rigid political bent is oozing into her professional life. My daughter thinks she’s (herself)got to be Liberal..all the usual virtue signal stuff but really she has no clue. So I continued on telling her that right now there’s a lot of animosity from hardcore Dems regarding ppl who are anti abortion and just about everything else. It actually sunk in and she admitted that maybe that could be her problem. The hate runs deep.

MysticRose80

Yikes.
The sad thing is that there is no reasoning with a majority of liberal-minded people (even those who are more moderate) today. They don’t want to listen, so red-pilling them is out of the question.
You’re right. The hatred is too strong.

para59r

Just a quick point on this. The vote today in the senate to support the president’s plan was 50-47. Needed 60 to pass. Everyone is calling it a failure for the President, but was it really?
If the President puts forth an Emergency Declaration the congress can stop it with a 51 vote majority in the senate. The House will have already approved killing it, but the Senate has to agree to kill it also. If they can’t muster 51 votes the Emergency Declaration stands (not sure if the 60 vote thing applies here or not, but you can already see they don’t have 60 votes). But lets say it’s the 51 votes to kill it it still has to go the President and he veto’s and then it becomes 67 votes needed to kill the Emergency Declaration and they don’t have it. Emergency Declaration stands and all eyes turn to the legal battle which has been prepped for success and just needs the SC to lift it out what ever muck some liberal judges have tried to mire it with.
IMO today’s vote was never intended to pass, but was intended to test. POTUS now has a green light to invoke Crisis at the border and build the wall unless Dems can get 67 votes to over come his veto if they try to stop him.

The more we learn about Space, Marica…the more it becomes apparent that there was divine design involved in the creation of our planet and it’s moon.
Our Moon is the ‘perfect size’ for our planet…in order to provide the benefits that we derive from it.
It’s distance from us and it’s size, are what enable the eclipses we see.
If it were a little smaller, or a little bigger…we would not see these spectacular eclipses.
Our Earth is the ‘perfect distance’ from the Sun, to derive the most benefit from it.
If our orbit around the Sun were further away…we would not have the growing seasons that we enjoy.
If our orbit were closer, we would have too much warming.
Scientists call our Earth a “Goldilocks planet”, for these reasons.
The more we scan space in search of other ‘Goldilocks planets’, the more we learn how rare our Earth is.

Marica

OH WOW! Not too Hot.. Not too Cold.. It’s Just RIght!! Wheatie!! I have NEVER heard that!! Now I need to contemplate…I really am Blown away!!! Puts alot of things in perspective! WOW!

wheatietoo

In addition to the perfect size and positioning of our planet…there is also the aspect of What Is Here.
The Earth is a veritable grocery store of flora, fauna and minerals.
All these things together, illustrate the uniqueness of our Earth…and what a divine Gift it is to us.

I’m not at all puzzled by the flash.
Something slammed into something else at 30 miles a second (roughly). That’s a LOT of energy that has to turn into heat. It will definitely heat up and glow on impact!

You’re not alone in that explanation, Steve.
I’ve read several other comments that offer the same reasoning…which makes sense to me, too.

Assuming 30 Kilometers per second, that’s 450 million joules for each kilogram the object weighed. A joule is the amount of energy it takes to lift a couple of pounds about four inches. 450 million joules is what a 100 watt light bulb would use, if it were lit continuously for 52 days. And that would have been released in an instant.

Wasnt this a really fought for election? Now he had blackface party ohotos published and he is out. Does desantis appoint a new one?

The Tallahassee Democrat obtained pictures taken at a Halloween party 14 years ago that show Secretary of State Michael Ertel in blackface while wearing earrings, a New Orleans Saints bandanna and fake breasts under a purple T-shirt with “Katrina Victim” written on it.
The photos were taken two months after the deadly storm ravaged the Gulf Coast region and eight months after Ertel was appointed Seminole County supervisor of elections. The newspaper hasn’t said how it got the photos or identified the source.
Ertel, who had been on the job less than three weeks, resigned just hours after he testified about election lawsuits before a state legislative committee. He didn’t immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
“There’s nothing I can say,” he told the paper.

Florida Secretary of State Mike Ertel resigned over photos of him in blackface. Gov. Ron DeSantis accepted his resignation.
The Republican was Seminole elections supervisor until last month, when new Gov. Ron DeSantis picked him to take over the state department that oversees elections. At the time, Ertel’s appointment was praised by some Democrats who noted his lengthy tenure as a central Florida elections official.
DeSantis said Ertel regretted dressing up in blackface but was right to step down after the pictures surfaced.
“I want people to be able to lead and not have any of these things swirling around,” said DeSantis, who was in Marianna to discuss relief efforts for areas hit hard by Hurricane Michael in October.
Ertel played a role in DeSantis’ decision to suspend Palm Beach County supervisor of elections Susan Bucher last week. Ertel recommended the governor take action against the Democratic official, contending that she had violated state election laws and was incompetent. Democrats have sharply criticized Bucher’s suspension as being politically motivated.
DeSantis last year defeated Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, who was seeking to become Florida’s first black governor. Gillum questioned DeSantis’ association with people seen as racially divisive.
DeSantis also came under fire in late August when he said voters should consider Florida’s economy and not “monkey this up” by choosing the “socialist agenda” of broader public spending he says Gillum espoused.
Then-Gov. Jeb Bush appointed Ertel as Seminole County elections supervisor in February 2005 and Ertel won four elections to keep the office. Ertel’s background includes an eight-year stint in the U.S. Army and public relations work for government agencies and a bank.

What a stupid thing to do, Ertel must be an idiot.
DeSantis doesn’t need this kind of drama, so it’s good that the guy is gone.

Gil

From 12 years ago too. I dont know why people do this still. Desantis definitely can move on. Funny how this just came out.

wheatietoo

Yes, it’s surprising that this didn’t come out before now.
And what kind of idiot would even do that…or think that it’s ‘funny’.
SMH.
