Welcome! The doors are open, come on inside!
Our wolf sentries at the door are quite friendly…just give them the password, “Q”, and they will let you pass.
This Storytime Sunday Open Thread is VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA world.
Come on in and get comfy:

How The Wolves Saved Yellowstone
or
Thank God For Apex Predators!
God in his infinite wisdom, created a natural order to the lands that we are blessed to live in. And we have learned that the Apex Predator is one of his most important creations. The Wolf is one of His most perfect apex predators.

We didn’t know how important wolves are until, in our ignorance, we hunted them to near extinction. This brief video gives you a condensed version of the story of How Wolves Saved Yellowstone:

When a Wolf pack brings down an Elk, that kill ends up feeding as many as 50 other species, from eagles to insects. Once the pack has fed…they abandon the kill and all the other species come in to eat what is left.

After the Wolves were gone from Yellowstone, the deer and elk became overpopulated and they devastated the vegetation in the valleys and on the riverbanks. Aspen and willow trees did not regenerate because the elk ate the seedlings. Beaver left…as well as other species. Bird populations disappeared. The bare riverbanks collapsed and the river became wide and shallow. This had a devastating effect on the fish population.
All this has gradually changed since the Wolves have been restored in Yellowstone.

This video gives a brief recap of the history of how it happened:

This video has a good Q&A about the ongoing Wolf repopulation effort. It actually has some very good questions — and answers:

It occurred to me that this story of the Wolves could serve as a ‘cautionary tale’ for our human species. What would happen to us as a species if we allow our own Apex Predators to become extinct?

Free Speech is practiced here at the Q Tree. In fact, our host Wolfmoon encourages us to use it…and Enjoy it. “Use it or lose it”, he tells us.
But please keep it civil. Be kind to each other and help one another if you can. We all want the same thing…to see our beloved country safe, secure and strong again.
We can argue points and disagree with each other…even with our host, Commander Wolf…but please do so as nicely as possible. Discussion of Q is not only allowed but encouraged.
Imagine that! We can talk about Q here and not get banned.
Please also consider the Important Guidelines, outlined here in the January 1st open thread. Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven that Wolf has created for us.
Remember – your greatest gift to President Trump is FIVE WORDS:

Visual Descriptions for our dear Zoe, and for anyone else who may find them helpful:
Top Image: Is an illustration of the base a huge Tree with double doors inside a pointed arch. There are two beautiful white wolves standing guard on either side of the doors. The doors have a carved medallion near the top with simple geometric shapes within it. The leaves on the tree are orange and starting to fall, indicating this is in autumn. There is a mist hanging in the air, in the surrounding forest.
Second Image: Is a cozy interior view of a stairway against the wall leading down into large area with overstuffed chairs and soft lighting. There is a bannister made of winding tree branches. Throw pillows and throw rugs add to the comfy atmosphere.
Third Image: Is a large closeup of the face of a wolf, looking straight ahead. He has golden eyes and a white muzzle, with tan and grey markings.
Fourth Image: Is a tan and grey wolf standing on a snow-covered rocky outcropping. He is looking intently at whomever is taking the photo. There is a dense forest in the background.
Fifth Image: A white and tan wolf with grey markings, is standing guard over three small pups. The pups look healthy and well fed. They are black and grey, and standing on an old moss-covered log. They are nestled into some dense vegetation that includes some yellow and orange wild flowers.
Sixth Image: Three white, tan and grey wolves are standing in a snow-covered clearing with a dense forest behind them. They look healthy and well fed, but they also look like they have spotted their next meal.
Seventh Image: Two inquisitive-looking pups are looking intently at something, from their position on a fallen log. One is tan, the other is black. There is filtered sunlight hitting the trees around them.
