Are you ready for the live House of Representatives Special Committee on Intelligence impeachment show hearings, affectionately known as the Adam Schiff Show, featuring emergency replacement and actual national wrestling champion Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio on the panel asking Democrat witnesses questions about what they claim to know, but didn’t witness as revealed in the transcripts of closed door depositions?
Guess what, the Schiff Show is about to go live, and We the People will be witness to history, the sort of history that will be turned into memes and soundbites for the next election cycle without any passing go. See, Fox News’s Gregg Jarrett tells us about the hole Democrats have dug for themselves, but refuse to admit.
At first, Schiff wanted the faux “whistleblower” who triggered the impeachment farce to testify. Then, suddenly, he didn’t. What changed? In the interim, evidence emerged that Schiff and/or his staff colluded with the “whistleblower” before the complaint was ever filed and then lied about it, earning Schiff “Four Pinocchios” from The Washington Post.
The chairman now wants to conceal his own role in engineering the pretext for impeachment and his subsequent deceit. This is why he has insisted that the “whistleblower” remain anonymous, despite no such right, guarantee, privilege, or entitlement written in the law, as I explained in an earlier column. Even though the undercover informant (reportedly working for the CIA) does not qualify for whistleblower status under the law as determined by the Department of Justice, any effort by Republicans to call him as a witness will be blocked by Schiff.
But Schiff’s machinations are more malevolent than masking the key witness. Those he will call to testify are already on record dishing up prodigious plates of multiple hearsay and rank speculation. It is obvious from the released transcripts of the heretofore “super top-secret” inquisition that none of them have any firsthand knowledge of a “quid pro quo” allegedly demanded by President Trump.
In other words, the Democrats have been running around claiming double secret probation without the benefit of any crime committed, or even a witness that can claim any material knowledge of what condiments President Trump had on his last hamburger. Not only that, they don’t want anyone to know who the whistleblower (Eric Ciamarella) is to the point that no one is supposed to utter his name in public. Well Republican Rep. Dan Bishop had something to say about that.
And…they’re holding public hearings today, apparently trying to relive the heady days of Watergate when a future Democrat candidate for president was actually fired from that fiasco for lying. (Funny that the little woman didn’t learn from that experience.)

For those of you who weren’t around to remember this, this was a piece of themed furniture (“Mediterranean”, “Modern”, “French”) that incorporated two speakers at the ends, and a control center/record player in the middle on top, and LP storage in the middle below. The average cellphone today can render things more clearly in full stereo.
Being somewhat musically minded, I started using this monstrosity all the time, until my parents bought a little mono cassette recorder/player so that I could go off to my room and leave the console stereo for others’ enjoyment.
Somewhere around 1970, my parents got freaked out about the amount of drug abuse in rock, and banned me from taking The Beatles on tape into my room…….
……so I stopped listening to The Beatles so much and listened to The Doors instead…..

I read through ETS’s open Q&A yesterday and I was very unimpressed.
Seems he’s playing to the MAGA normies that want someone else to tell them how to be woke. He does encourage them to think for themselves in some posts, but then gives very black/white answers to some questions in a way that sucks the “think for me” normies back in again. I may not be seeing that right, but my inner senses are saying he is NOT what he says he is and anyone that puts their trust in him is going to end up hurt sooner or later.
I treat him as a kind of Q mirror. He gets what the whole Q thing is, and is simply reinforcing it. Probably a volunteer. Since part of the Q thing is fronting it as a “might be a LARP”, ETS does the same, but has to be a bit less forward in all ways.

Ever since Woodrow Wilson propounded the idea, the notion that we need to have a professional class governing our nation has grown and grown. I worked with people who were taught in law school at Harvard and at Yale that they were uniquely qualified to lead (which effectively meant they were uniquely qualified to govern others).
In addition, the swamp has an overinflated view of their role because for decades congress has abdicated their duty to legislate. They pass legislation that purports to further some goal without making the necessary implementation trade offs. The permanent bureaucracy then gets to flesh out the details. This process has given the swamp far too much power, particularly when the courts apply Chevron deference to their governing regulations. In effect, nobody is accountable for the end result.
And let’s be clear here. Part of the reason this notion took hold was the fact that previously huge numbers of government jobs went to cronies whose only qualification for the job was that they supported the guy who won. It was a huge waste of money to pay people who didn’t have a clue how to do their jobs.
So we need a balance here. And the balance is not that hard. Bureaucrats need to understand that when the people elect an executive to run the executive branch, that executive becomes their client.
But as you and I both know, there are two lines you need to draw with clients. One set of lines is imposed upon you by laws and licensing and the agreements you have with your partners and whatnot. The other set of lines is your own particular ethical and moral code. If your client asks you to do something that does not cross either of these lines, you do it. If they ask more, you quit.
What all of these witnesses are saying is that they have gotten together and decided what to do. The fact that we elected an executive to change what they are doing is irrelevant to them. They know better.

Zelensky brought up draining the Ukrainian swamp, then PDJT asked for the “favor” regarding Crowdstrike and Mueller and “they say a lot of it started with Ukraine.” Zelensky agrees, and then in the context of talking about doing his investigations in an open and honest way says several times that he wants Ukraine and the US to be closer and to be friends.
I thought at the time that Zelensky was dancing around the issue that his investigations may implicate important Americans, and he did not want that to diminish our friendship. PDJT replies that it is good he is doing open and honest investigations and then comments that it was unfair that a good prosecutor was “shut down” and there were some “bad people” involved in that.
I don’t hear this from many other sources, so maybe I am wrong on this, but if I were in Zelensky’s shoes – newly elected, trying to clean up corruption and confronted with incriminating evidence against a number of highly placed Americans – I would find a way to obliquely communicate this to the US President before moving forward.
To the extent that investigations in foreign countries uncover criminal activity undertaken by prominent politicians in another country, I would think this type of discussion would be standard operating procedure.

My take on today is that it’s the end of Adam Schiff. It was a monumental failure and debacle for him.

In the trial, Trump can use all the evidence that’s currently bound up by limitations on the DOJ, various inspectors generals, and Obama supporters.

I believe this is correct.
Just as good things are being revealed in these “hearings” I expect good things to be revealed in a trial in the Senate (by “good” I mean good for MAGA/President Trump not necessarily actual good/positive things). However, I have so little trust in the Uniparty RINOs…I pray for President Trump and keep the pressure on my own elected officials!
