Guess what another ship from that Evergreen company ran aground.

This one wasn’t really leaving the US, but, man those ship pilots can’t seem to avoid running aground.

One of the obstacles to full understanding of just what the enemy is all about revolves around the concept of symbolism.

Today we explore just how far back the symbolism goes. It goes back A LONG WAY.

Gail brought up the topic of Alice in Wonderland being symbolic. I went searching and found this:

There are some errors in the narration. Lewis Carroll was NOT Jack the Ripper, and Baphomet is the demon of human sacrifice, but otherwise it’s interesting – if really disturbing – stuff.

And…as far as symbols go:

The Christians also saw hares in this symbolic light and associated them with death and resurrection. Thus, many early Christian gravestones include depictions of hares.

Many churches, illuminated manuscripts and breastplates throughout Europe, especially in Germany and England, depict three hares in a circle. The three ears one sees make a triangle in the center, symbolizing the Holy Trinity: “Drei Hasen und der Ohren drei und doch hat Keiner mehr als Zwei” which means “Three hares and three ears and yet none [hare] has more than two [ears].”

PSALMS 1:1-4, 6

1Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3He is like a tree planted by streams of water, that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. 4The wicked are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away. 6for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

5-step process for wearing a mask:

1. Fold the mask for a point.

2. Fold the mask again so that it has two points.

3. Fold the mask again so that it’s all points.

4. Shove the mask into a tender place of the person insisting on masks.

5. Walk away a free person.

I wouldn’t put it past ’em.

Yes, you have to read ingredients very carefully when giving a dog any people-food because of xylitol. You can get peanut and almond butter made solely from peanuts and almonds at health food stores.

I’ve also read that, while peanut butter is good as an occasional treat and to put in dog toys to keep dogs busy, it’s not good to give it to them every day because the high fat content can lead to pancreatitis.

Gail Combs

Yes that vet site says:

Generally speaking, small dogs should get no more than about 1/2 tablespoon of peanut butter per day and larger dogs should get no more than about 1 tablespoon. You can find a more detailed breakdown in “Is Peanut Butter Good for Dogs?

PRO TIP: In dogs with chronic pancreatitis or those at increased risk for developing acute or chronic pancreatitis – like Miniature Schnauzers and Yorkshire Terriers – even a very small amount of a high-fat treat like peanut butter may be enough to bring on or worsen their pancreatitis and should be avoided completely.

They look like a good site to bookmark if you have dogs or cats.

Gail Combs

We used liverwurst for giving our dog pills, but you had to make several balls and toss them to her in a rapid fashion. The pill had to be in the middle of the bunch. If it was only one ball she would suck the liverwurst off the pill and spit out the cleaned pill. SMART DOG. She could also open doors with round door knobs.

bflyjesusgrl 🍊 😎NUCLEAR MAGA😎

It’s pretty easy to pill a dog. Open their mouth, put pill at very back of throat, close and hold snout and rub gently under throat until they swallow. Then give them a cookie. EEZY PEEZY😁

Gail Combs

She STILL managed to spit it out. 🙄 I do not know how she managed it either. That is why we went to liverwurst.

bflyjesusgrl 🍊 😎NUCLEAR MAGA😎

I’ve had to hold some snouts for a very very long time. A test of WILL, to show who was boss. I can sit here all day, this is for your good and you are taking it! After that, submission came quicker for the next pill. Always give a treat afterwards.

Gail Combs

At this point I am holding pony heads up in the air so they will swallow the wormer paste or liquid medicine. (They spit the medicine out too if given the chance.)

Pills get ground up, mixed with molasses and spread on a piece of bread.

bflyjesusgrl 🍊 😎NUCLEAR MAGA😎

Yeah, there’s no holding a large animal’s snout, bigger and stronger can hurt us. However, humans are smarter, so tricks are necessary to win. We have Dominion. 👍

Gail Combs

I much prefer to have the animal WANT to cooperate. I save hard discipline for those aggressive acts that can hurt people like biting kicking and rear & strike with the front hooves.

However I do dominate. Our ram KNOWS I can rope him and then hold him down on the ground helpless (for worming and shots) so he never challenges me.

My Dad’s miniature Dachshund was a vegan. 😂 He had 16X25 year round garden in the backyard and she would feast on all the veggies, had to be monitored at all times. He also had a huge pecan tree. At age one, she had to be put on 1 cup/day of diet dog food because she constantly ate the pecans. She stayed overweight her entire life, the little roly poly. 😍

It is cats that are obligatory carnivores not dogs. They can not do well on non meat diets.

singingsoul1

I had several cats that lived to be 20-23 years and they ate dry food mixed with can food all their lives. Most though live to be 16-18.

Gail Combs

We had to switch to canned food for our old cats. Before that they got dried food and mice and rats and rabbits and squirrels and the occasional bird….. Judging from the remains left on my porch.

singingsoul1

We have a outside enclosure for the cats but the wire is spacey. We have one cat who catches and occasional bird. She knows what to do with it because she was a stray before I got her.

Gail Combs

Ours are working barn cats. When we only had the one very elderly cat, the house was swamped with mice. So I talked hubby into taking a kitten from our neighbor. If she outlives us, which is likely, she goes back to the neighbor’s daughter.

singingsoul1

That is a good idea 🙂 That is my concern not outliving my animals.

Cuppa Covfefe

I had a mini Dachshund that would pick the apples off our apple tree (he paid attention in doggie class: he went after the low-hanging fruit first 🙂 ).

After he ran out of apples, he thought he’d try the fragrant yellow things on the next tree over… Lemon tree, very pretty…

Poor guy, came in to the house, face all puckered up… rinsed him out (and off) and gave him some TLC. Last time he ever tried lemonade 🙂

He was also nuts about corn-on-the-cob, and the gigantic Milk-Bone dog biscuits that seemed to be almost as big as he was…

He’d sing, too, when I was practicing piano or working something up, but only two songs, from “My Fair Lady”: “I’ve Grown Accustomed To Your Face” and “On The Street Where You Live”… maybe he had a lady friend, say, Eliza Doglittle? 🙂

Cheers to Gretchen, Schatze, and your little fella!🥂🥰🥰

Cuppa Covfefe

We called him “Ludwig” because he was so, erm, musical 🙂

(He liked music (he’d have to, in our house), but he only would sing to those two songs… probably a good thing 😀 )….

This little fart was also a popsicle hound. She’d be sound asleep under the covers

My dog loves frozen blueberries 🙂 Last night he had steak 🙂 He loves carrots as snack.

Gail Combs

A friend who I worked with always made an extra plate of human food for his dog. He never gave the dog commercial food and the dog lived into his 20s.

Our dogs have been eating what we eat for thousands of years so it make sense that they would do well as omnivores just like us.

singingsoul1

When I grew up no one had pet food. The dogs cats ate soups and meat vegetable gravy and raw bones. They lived long and never got sick.
I know they need some vitamins do not know what kind.

PreventiveVet: What Kind of Peanut Butter is Safe for Dogs?

Xylitol! Xylitol is an increasingly common sugar-replacement sweetener that’s in hundreds of products, including some brands of peanut butter. It’s an “all-natural” sugar substitute that’s fine for people, but it’s extremely poisonous to dogs and poisons thousands of dogs each year….

Xylitol is an increasingly common sugar-replacement sweetener that’s in hundreds of products, including some brands of peanut butter. It’s an “all-natural” sugar substitute that’s fine for people, but it’s extremely poisonous to dogs and poisons thousands of dogs each year. We at Preventive Vet are happy to report that there has been an increase in awareness about xylitol – both in peanut butter and in the more than 700 other products xylitol is found in – and we have been able to influence some companies to change their labeling and warning practices….

the toxic dose of xylitol in dogs is even less than chocolate! For example, as little as 1.37 grams of xylitol can cause a rapid drop in a dog’s blood sugar (“hypoglycemia”) and result in staggering, disorientation, collapse, and seizures in a 30-pound dog*. If a dog of the same size ingested 6.8 grams, it could be enough to cause a debilitating and likely deadly destruction of the dog’s liver cells. Now consider that it would take about 22 times more (150 grams) dark chocolate to result in the same level of severe toxicity…

Lots more info at that site. They do say the number of brands with xylitol is now five.

Linda

I wish they’d said which 5 brands have xylitol. I’ve occasionally used peanut butter to give my dog pills the few times she’s needed them. But I don’t use it for a treat. I guess I’ll have to pay attention to ingredients now.

Linda

Never mind. I found the list on another page on the site:

https://www.preventivevet.com/xylitol-products-toxic-for-dogs

Gail Combs

Glad you found it.

RDS

Good Lord, the list on this site is extensive. Tons of products that HUMANS use. It’s even used in CLOTHING.

Dr. Axe has an article about Xylitol and other sugar alcohols:
https://draxe.com/nutrition/xylitol/
“What is Xylitol? Potential Benefits vs. Side Effects”
Apparently, Xylitol is “created” from an indigestible derivative of xylose.

And, “but of course”, the friends over at the NIH have an article on the “health benefits of xylitol” (the link goes only to the article title and the Abstract; if one wants to read the entire article, one has to pay $$):
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32638045/
“Health benefits of xylitol”

IMO, Dr. Axe does make a good point: Xylitol has similarities to other “sweeteners”, like Sorbitol, Maltitol, Mannitol, and others. He recommends using completely natural sweeteners, like Stevia (make sure it’s just Stevia, no “fillers”); dates; local raw honey.

cthulhu

This one is a very good and very clear article.

singingsoul1

Yes xylitol is poison for dogs. Also other sweeteners.
My dog does not like peanut butter nither do I 🙂

I eat the heck out of Kroger store brand, only ingredients are peanuts, salt, and oil, smooth or crunchy. $1.79 Laura Scudder brand makes same but more expensive. $4+….. NO SUGAR WHATSOEVER!!!

SteveInCO said yesterday:

The fundamental problem with the whole “devolution” theory is that there is no way, even in principle, to disprove it.

Any evidence against it is dismissed as “fake” or “disinformation” that is part of “the plan.”…..

A theory that cannot be disproved even in principle is garbage. As one wag once said, it isn’t even wrong, it’s at a lower level of truth value than just being wrong would make it. It’s instead what philosophers call an “arbitrary assertion” which sounds like a mild term but is in fact a label for claims that can neither be proved nor disproved so they can, and should be, ignored.

Patel Patriot at the end of this video agrees with Steve they we will not have positive proof. However in this video they look at a time line sometimes going back to 2015/2016 and look very closely from the fall 2019 impeachment forward pointing out ‘tells’ in emails, statements and moves that support Devolution as a possibility. At the beginning they analyze some of President Trump’s recent statements that also indicate things are happening behind the scenes.

Is Devolution a possibility? Yes. There is enough evident to support that it is a possibility. If nothing else they point out some very interesting moves and counter moves using solid facts.

TheseTruths

Depending on how they’re defining “devolution,” I think it could be a possibility. It becomes problematic for me when people present theories as fact and as absolute proof that their theory of devolution is happening.

Gail Combs

I generally try to look at the objective facts and try to ignore the speculation. Patel Patriot does do quite a bit of interpretative speculation but he DOES bring evidence too. His evidence is what I am interested in.

That POTUS was unprepared for the BIG STEAL I do not believe.

That he put in place plans I also believe. What those plans are I do not know.

Fog of War and all that.

…..

I used to do a lot of trouble shooting. The factory workers were good observers but they often did not have the solid scientific background to hang their observations on and sometimes did not even have the language to describe what they were seeing. I found their observations very valuable even though their speculation could be outlandish.

I use the same approach here.

TradeBait2

^ This.

It’s akin to gathering little pieces to a subject jigsaw puzzle that you are assembling from a giant container of pieces holding multiple puzzles. We know how the puzzle is intended to appear when completed. PDT gave us a clear picture that fits the founding fathers’ intent and the Constitution.

Does each piece fit the intended picture (vision) along with when and where do you attach them? That’s why your archives and others’ posts/archives are so very valuable, Gail. That’s what makes Wolf’s lair so important.

Just because we may seem to be missing pieces to complete the puzzle, it does not mean they are not there. We just have not found them – yet.

As just one example, PDT called out the potential for future election stealing early in his term. He then appointed folks to investigate and make recommendations. That effort itself was compromised from the start and later disbanded. In that process more DS players were revealed. We don’t know, yet, what else of value may have been obtained or accessed. At some point we probably will.

We now see that to have secure elections also calls for international cooperation barring a return to voting the right way. With a compromised Congress, the odds of doing it correctly are slim to none. So you need cooperation from other nations to blunt the electronic steal and ballot harvesting.

That then takes us back to 17 – the military is only way. The puzzle pieces assembled correctly point to not just our military, but cooperation with others.

Now apply that process to the other thousands of issues working against our country and the rest of the world for that matter. It can be intimidating unless we assemble the puzzle piece by piece with the vision in mind.

singingsoul1

You might be right with compromised Congress and also state officials. One wonders how many of those on both sites of the dem and rep benefited from our broken compromised elections? They surely will not want to fix that. They know who they are and the more they resist for fair elections we will know who they are.

kalbokalbs

ZERO doubt in my mind, VAST majority of Congress IS compromised, simply crooks or BOTH.

NOTHING else explains to Go Along With BiteMe’s dementia, stoopid policies, willful destruction of America, ignoring J6 Political Prisoners, DOJ/FIB weaponsized against America, HLS calling parents terrorists, Free Speech labeled terrorism….

THIS applies to many, if not most states. Compromised, crooks, OR BOTH.

singingsoul1

True if they were not compromised they would have reversed the election right away. They all were paid off by Zuckerberg.

kalbokalbs

Yes, they should have never accepted the Electoral votes. AND…

  • NOT confirm BiteMe’s appointments – cabinet, judges and SC nomination.
  • NOT passed all the BiteMe Trillion dollar legislation.
  • Should have shutdown government, rather than pass “Continuing resolutions”.
  • Shut down government demanding southern border be secured.
  • NOT pass Billions for Ukraine.

On and on…

Gail Combs

When you think of the Republican House and Senate STALLING all of POTUS appointments and the legislation that was PROMISED, you realize we have ONE PARTY the Commie Globalist party but they will not tell you that.

My exciting afternoon was prep for a dental crown. It’s my furthest back upper molar on my right. Because I had my wisdom teeth removed decades ago (general anesthesia), it’s officially tooth #2.

There were a couple of places I could really feel it, but my biggest surprise was when I was handed a paper cup of water to rinse and spit out all the miscellaneous dust. Turns out, there was a very temperature-sensitive area where there hadn’t been before. You can anticipate something and brace yourself when someone has a drill in your mouth, but to get lit-up the same amount by a thimbleful of water was unexpected.

I also have a problem breathing through my nose when my mouth is wedged open, so I kept running our of air. And, of course, to get a good angle on that particular tooth, I practically had to hang upside-down.

OTOH, for those who remember the old way of doing crowns — trays of choking latex before and after prep, and waiting two weeks before the outside lab produced their chunk of metal — they’ve now gone high-tech. They stick a camera in your mouth and take eighteen-gazillion pictures which their software assembles into a 3D model — I’d seen stuff like that about 10 years ago at Maker Faire, but here it was in a turnkey package for dentists. At Maker Faire, you could 3D print little sculpture heads of people you know after their scans…..the dentist package can make little 3D crowns at labs using data files.

TheseTruths

An apt description! 🦷

RDS

Well, back about 40 years ago, when I had to have a crown done, the dentist asked me “what gold coin I wanted to use for the crown.” He was joking, but that crown was worth the awful and multiple-trips-to-the-dentist process of getting it done. It’s still in place.

gil00

Last crown i had done was “the old way”. Chocked on that latex stuff.

cthulhu

I had a collection of old teeth molds that I brought in. Turns out, he could have used one and made my new crown a recreation of my tooth from about 15 years ago….except that it would be missing the 15 years of wear that it would need to fit properly against its opposing teeth today.

Instead, he’s going to sculpt one against the computer model of my currently existing teeth.

Which, BTW, is one of those “dentist appreciation moments” — imagine someone who made a series of abstract sculptures for a living — each substantially smaller than a centimeter cube — in a highly obstructed environment. Imagine that each had physical and environmental constraints beyond the aesthetic, and had to move properly against existing dynamic shapes. Further, he is expected to do this quickly in an area that breathes, squirms, and salivates….

Incidentally, I think it was pgroup that had the horrific crown failure….and I got a little scuttlebutt that might shed some light on what happened. It turns out that it is possible to “entomb” tooth decay — if completely sealed against air and water, the bacteria will go dormant and further decay will cease…..until the bacteria again find air or water. This is taught as acceptable — and possibly even recommended — technique in a variety of circumstances. An example might be pediatric dentistry — if you can entomb the decay long enough for the tooth to be shed, why do more painful and expensive drilling and cleaning to fully eradicate the decay?

The flip side is with geriatric dentistry. If you can seal away some decay beyond the patient’s anticipated lifespan, it would be a mercy. Unless (a) air or water got in too early, or (b) the patient lived too long afterwards…..

gil00

Oh entombment sounds risky but i get it.

cthulhu

I really hated that process — and, as mentioned, I have a collection of the casts.

It would have really helped my peace-of-mind if it was more failsafe — as in, you’d do them “teeth down”, so if anything dripped it would fall on the floor instead of down your throat.

gil00

Yeah the pink goo was overloaded by the dental asst and it hardened with a giant piece right against my uvula. Then she re did it bc she had cast it wrong. I left that office. Funny they haven’t called me to schedule any appts.

Very interesting about the hare symbolism, and I’m looking forward to watching that video.

scott467

“Very interesting about the hare symbolism,”

_____________

There is nothing in God’s Word about such symbolism, so it is of men and not of God, by definition.

The word ‘hare’ is found twice, both times in the Old Testament:

……………………..
“And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.” (Leviticus 11:6, KJV)

“Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.” (Deuteronomy 14:7)
……………………..

The word ‘rabbit’ is not found.

It would be interesting to know when this pagan symbolism was first adopted, and cross-reference it to other error that was corrupting the churches at that same time.

Aubergine

It was adopted in the same time period the Bible was being assembled, by the same people who were assembling it.

You and I had this long discussion before. I know what you believe about the Bible, and you know what I believe.

Rabbits are associated with the goddess Eostre (and other spellings), pronounced “Easter.” She was an Anglo-Saxon goddess of Spring, and of fertility. I’m curious whether you celebrate Easter as the Resurrection? I know quite a few Christians who don’t, because of the adoption of this goddess’s name, among other reasons.

I think God allowed all of this to come about in the same way that He directed which books were included in the Bible. If He controlled the one, then He could definitely control the other, as I think He controls any and everything else He chooses to control.

However, I also don’t see religion as some sort of “purity test” from God. Do I sound crabby? If I do, it’s because I am. We are all different types of believers here, and I don’t think it serves us to pit Protestant v. Catholic v. anything else. I just don’t.

bflyjesusgrl 🍊 😎NUCLEAR MAGA😎

All those instructions were given under the Law of Moses.. Jesus fulfilled the Law, and we are now under Grace. Paul said all all things are allowable, but not necessarily good for you. IOW, you’re not damned and going to hell for eating anything, but eating it may hurt you for several reasons. Sadly, the Jews don’t believe in Jesus, so they still live under the law, and eat accordingly.

1 Corinthians 10:22-33
Amplified Bible
22 Do we [really] provoke the Lord to jealousy [when we eat food sacrificed to handmade “gods” at pagan feasts]? Are we [spiritually] stronger than He? [Certainly not! He knows that the idols are nothing. But we deeply [a]offend Him.]
23 All things are lawful [that is, morally legitimate, permissible], but not all things are beneficial or advantageous. All things are lawful, but not all things are constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual life]. 24 Let no one seek [only] his own good, but [also] that of the other person.
25 [Regarding meat offered to idols:] Eat anything that is sold in the meat market without asking any questions for the sake of your conscience, 26 For the [whole] earth is the Lord’s, and everything that is in it. 27 If one of the unbelievers invites you [to a meal at his home] and you want to go, eat whatever is served to you without asking questions [about its source] for the sake of your conscience. 28 But if anyone says to you, “This meat has been offered in sacrifice to an idol,” do not eat it, out of consideration for the one who told you, and for conscience’s sake— 29 and by conscience I mean for the sake of the other man’s, not yours. For [g]why is my freedom [of choice] judged by another’s conscience [another’s ethics—another’s sense of right and wrong]? 30 If I take my share [of food] with thankfulness, why am I accused because of something for which I give thanks?
31 So then, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of [our great] God. 32 Do not offend Jews or Greeks or even the church of God [but live to honor Him]; 33 just as I please everyone in all things [as much as possible adapting myself to the interests of others], not seeking my own benefit but that of the many, so that they [will be open to the message of salvation and] may be saved.

“Actually, the proper name for Easter is Pascha. That’s what it is in Latin and Greek, and just about every language other than English.”

_____________

And Pascha means or refers to the Passover:

……………………..
https://www.blueletterbible.org/lexicon/g3957/kjv/tr/0-1/

The KJV translates Strong’s G3957 in the following manner: Passover (28x), Easter (1x).

Outline of Biblical Usage

  1. the paschal sacrifice (which was accustomed to be offered for the people’s deliverance of old from Egypt)
  2. the paschal lamb, i.e. the lamb the Israelites were accustomed to slay and eat on the fourteenth day of the month of Nisan (the first month of their year) in memory of the day on which their fathers, preparing to depart from Egypt, were bidden by God to slay and eat a lamb, and to sprinkle their door posts with its blood, that the destroying angel, seeing the blood, might pass over their dwellings; Christ crucified is likened to the slain paschal lamb
  3. the paschal supper
  4. the paschal feast, the feast of the Passover, extending from the 14th to the 20th day of the month Nisan

Is the Passover a Christian New Testament observance, i.e., are Christians commanded to observe the Jewish Passover?

Or is the Passover an Old Testament Jewish observance?

“It was adopted in the same time period the Bible was being assembled, by the same people who were assembling it.”

_____________

Do you have a source for that?

It’s not mentioned anywhere in God’s Word. If Peter or Paul or John or any of the other Apostles observed or practiced such a thing, either by direct commandment of the Lord or by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, would it not be included in God’s Word?

If it was something God wanted us to do, would it not be in God’s Word?

If a thing is not in God’s Word, but God wants us to do it, then what can explain that? Did God forget to include it?

Did God fail to preserve it?

Did God make a mistake?

If He did, then how can He be God?

If God didn’t make a mistake, if He managed to reveal to us what we need to know in order to be saved, and His revelation did not include that thing, then what reason can there possibly be to monkey around with God’s plan of salvation, by adding to it, or subtracting from it?

If there is no good answer to that question, then why should anybody do it?

God gave us His way. We have a choice. We can follow it, we can do things God’s way, or we can do things man’s way, do our own thing.

Unfortunately we can’t do both, because man’s way, invariably, conflicts with or contradicts God’s Way.

It’s the same problem the Pharisees and Sadducees had, adding all sorts of doctrines and traditions and commandments of men, which they then enforced, while they ignored the things of God.

“He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. [7] Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. [8] For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. [9] And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” (Mark 7:6-9, KJV)

___________

Well, that certainly contradicts what the books contained in Scripture say.

And God, being perfect, does not contradict Himself.

The Gnostic texts and the Scriptures cannot both be right, they cannot both be Authored by God, and be in contradiction.

para59r

Likely why all Gnostic texts were ordered destroyed. Largely accomplished in the 3rd and 4th century. That said though shadows of what they contained appear in writings that condemned the destroyed text and then the Nag Hammadi was found in the last century. Deep subject with many branchings.

“You and I had this long discussion before. I know what you believe about the Bible, and you know what I believe.”

______________

I am not entirely sure I know what you believe, and I’m pretty sure you don’t understand what I believe, or at least why, because if you did, and we were both seeking to be right with God, would we not both be in harmony with God’s Word?

But we are not.

And this is very troubling. It’s distressing. It always is.

You have no idea how much I wish it was a free for all, that we just do whatever we pleased, and God would be fine with that. For one thing, I would never have to have these kinds of discussions again.

I would never have to stand for the truth of God’s Word, and no one would be upset toward me for doing so.

I would not have to be concerned for the souls of others, especially including people I know and love and care about, including everyone here.

But like so many things we discuss here, and which are also sources of contention, that’s not reality.

The reason there is contention is because truth matters.

This is as old as time.

The world hates truth.

If anyone stands for the truth of God’s Word, the world won’t like it one bit.

The people who will like it the least are those who are standing in something other than the truth of God’s Word — because God’s Word convicts them (all of us) of our error.

Since they are unable to defeat God or His Word, they will attack whoever points to God’s Word instead.

You can count on it.

From a vague memory….

The celebration of Christ’s birth was MOVED to the Winter Solstice and Pascha was moved to the Spring Equinox in order to compete with/placate the pagan celebrations.

The Birth of Christ => the return of the sun

The resurection => Ensuring the fertility of the land and that is where you get the connection to ‘Easter’  the goddess Eostre and rabbits.

Over the years the dates have drifted so they no longer line up exactly.

scott467

“From a vague memory….

The celebration of Christ’s birth was MOVED to the Winter Solstice and Pascha was moved to the Spring Equinox in order to compete with/placate the pagan celebrations.”

______________

Moved by whom?

Just as importantly, who authorized Christians to observe either one in the first place — and WHEN?

These are questions which no one ever answers 😁

It’s always some vague thing in the distant hazy past — well after the establishment of Christ’s church, but conveniently long enough ago that nobody wants to claim responsibility for it, it just sort of magically ‘manifested’ itself…

That’s not Christianity. That’s typical human government cover-up 101.

By what Authority was the celebration of Christ’s birth grafted into Christian belief?

Christ did not tell us to celebrate the day of His birth, and there is no example in the entire New Testament of any Christian doing so.

So this tradition is of men, and not of God.

For sake of argument, suppose for a moment that Christians were commanded to observe Christmas (or Pascha). If God had set the dates for observance, then by what Authority would any man MOVE the dates of observance?

I mean, can you imagine the chutzpah, the arrogance, the hubris, for any man to decide to countermand and contradict and overrule God, and “fix” God’s Work, based on man’s superior knowledge and understanding of God’s plan and ways and purposes?

It’s mind-boggling… and yet to many people, it never even occurs to them that this is what they’re really doing, that by changing or adding to or subtracting from what God has done, they are literally deeming themselves not just equal to God, but higher than God.

Because who can overrule God, unless he is more powerful than God?

Aubergine

You believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God. I don’t. It really is just that simple.

You believe that God would not allow the Bible to exist incorrectly.

I believe if that statement is true, then he would not allow the existence of religions that contradict the Bible, yet are based on the Bible. Yet He does.

I believe that God is in all of us, and not just in the words in a book, whatever that book is.

I believe that just because you believe your beliefs are the right ones, it doesn’t mean they are. Same for me. Same for us all.

I believe that criticizing other’s sincerely held, non-threatening, and non-harmful spiritual and religious beliefs is wrong. I put those words in bold because the fact that the Catholic church believes things that you appear not to does not harm or threaten you. Same with the Protestant faith, or any other non-threatening non-harmful faith.

I am tired to death of people picking at others over their religious beliefs. It doesn’t appear to help us get anywhere. It puts people on the defensive. And it’s just bloody irritating.

You wrote, after a list of transgressions in the Bible:

“God does not usually exact immediate punishment for such in this day and age.”

WHY NOT? Don’t you ever wonder? How do you know that His Bible wasn’t meant to create exactly the world and the faiths it has created? Because it isn’t stated? Do you truly believe that the mind of God, the being that created EVERYTHING there is, could be distilled into words on the pages of a book? That is human hubris if ever there was, in my opinion. To think that puny little us could truly comprehend the mind of God.

And again, you ask on whose authority the goddess Oestra was co-opted as the name for Easter. And I still say to you that, if God could direct men to choose some books for inclusion in the Bible, and exclude others, then he could certainly lead those men to choose to use the name Easter. Or do you believe that the assembled books of the Bible, which was only written out by hand for centuries before the invention of the press, just appeared somewhere, whole? And then men copied only those books, in that specific order, excluding any others, for centuries until the press was invented?

You quote:

““Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6, KJV)”

AND

“Is everyone saved?”

Short answer is: yes.

You wanted to hear my thoughts and here they are. Jesus came to save mankind from itself. The statement “no man cometh to the Father, but by me,” means, to me (which is all it can be for anyone, is their personal belief) that Jesus came to save Mankind and knew that it COULD NOT HAPPEN if HE didn’t die on the cross. HE DID, therefore WE ARE.

I believe that we will all answer for our deeds here on Earth, but I don’t believe that anyone is NOT SAVED for not believing what you profess.

You didn’t understand what I meant when I wrote:

““I think God allowed all of this to come about in the same way that He directed which books were included in the Bible. If He controlled the one, then He could definitely control the other, as I think He controls any and everything else He chooses to control.””

Well, like most people I have this discussion with, you appear to want to pick and choose what God is actually in control of. He controlled what went into the Bible, but not the formation of the Catholic church? He made sure his word was not adulterated by man in the Book, but not in the Church that has persisted in His name for 2000 years? Really?

I am only asking that we all respect each other’s faith and beliefs. You are no more correct or incorrect than anyone else here.

I have no fear of anyone else’s beliefs corrupting my own. Why would you? If faith is so weak that someone could “lead you astray,” what kind of faith is that? I can read about Catholicism, Buddhism, Paganism, or any other faith, and it shakes MINE not ONE JOT.

I give DP and others who take the time out of their lives to contribute here the room to write whatever they want. If YOU want to write a daily post, and use it to expound on your beliefs, then I will happily either read it, or skim it, or scroll through to comments, depending on the day. THOSE people who maintain dailies here are doing us A SERVICE.

I will state, AGAIN, that THIS ENTIRE CONVERSATION is about FAITH AND BELIEF. There is NO EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE whatsoever of the nature or even existence of God. I believe in God, but I accept that I can’t PROVE God even exists. I don’t have to; my faith is for me, alone.

Gingersmom2009

Just read this wonderful comment through twice.

We cannot comprehend the mind of God.

And everything cannot be made all neat and tidy, in a scriptural shoe box. People beat the “you must know Christ and declare him as your personal savior, you must be born again, to make it to heaven” drum, to death. How many people walked the earth over the centuries, lived and died, and literally never heard of Jesus? So you’re telling me God, in his majesty, had no plan for that segment of his creation? I just can’t buy it.

I believe we all have the potential to be saved. And we use of our allotted time, walking our life’s path, making choices as we go. I try to do my best, so I hope for the best. I’ve certainly spent a lot of time sweating on an organ bench. 😊

Aubergine

Wow, thanks. 🙂

Aubergine

And I absolutely agree with this:

“How many people walked the earth over the centuries, lived and died, and literally never heard of Jesus? So you’re telling me God, in his majesty, had no plan for that segment of his creation? I just can’t buy it.”

I can’t help but think about my Native American ancestors when I read this.

Gingersmom2009

Yes, yes, yes. I am always amazed at how obtuse Fundamentalists are/can be about all those very specific boxes being checked.

“Rabbits are associated with the goddess Eostre (and other spellings), pronounced “Easter.” She was an Anglo-Saxon goddess of Spring, and of fertility.”

____________

How is that not a great reason for a Christian to have nothing to do with it?

By what authority does any Christian incorporate pagan rituals and beliefs into Christian belief?

Why would any Christian knowingly and intentionally add pagan religious beliefs and symbolism to their belief and practice?

How did that go when Aaron made a golden calf, while Moses was up on Mount Sinai?

How did it go for Nadab and Abihu, when they used ‘strange fire’ (fire from an unauthorized source) before the LORD?

How did it go for Uzzah, who, trying to help, tried to prevent the Ark of the Covenant from falling to the ground, by reaching out his hand to steady the Ark? Unfortunately Uzzah was not authorized to touch the Ark, and was struck dead by the LORD.

Why was Uzzah even in a position to be struck dead? By what error was the Ark in danger of falling in the first place?

Because David decided of his own accord to transport it on a cart, without Authority, in contradiction to God’s commandment for how the Ark was to be transported, using the staves covered in gold placed through the loops built into the sides of the Ark for that very purpose, and then raising the Ark with the staves, and putting the ends of the staves on the shoulders of those who were Authorized to carry it (the Levites, members of the tribe of Levi).

If they had done as God commanded, the Ark would not have been in danger of falling, and Uzzah would not have tried to steady the Ark, and Uzzah would not have died.

If Abihu and Nadab (Aaron’s sons!) had not taken it upon themselves to use fire from an unauthorized source, Aaron would not have had to witness God strike down two of his sons right in front of him.

Yes these are OT examples, but does the nature or character of God change?

How did it go for Ananias and Sapphira, in the NT, when “all” they did was hold back a portion of the proceeds of the land they sold, while wanting it to be thought that they gave it all to the church?

Were they not both struck dead? (Acts chapter 5)

God does not usually exact immediate punishment for such in this day and age. Does that mean we have a green light to do as we please?

Why would anyone who fears (reveres, respects, loves) God want to tempt or test God by doing things which we have cause, by His Word, to know that He does not approve?

Most especially when it’s not even necessary, which it never is?

What is the “up side” of adding stuff to Christian belief that God never authorized?

Can there even be an ‘up side’?

What man will take it upon himself to improve upon God’s Work?

If any man would do so, where was that man when God laid the foundations of the earth? What does that man know, more than God knows?

This is so dangerous, and many people are oblivious to it. Which is why so many people dive head first, without considering the consequences, into every sort and manner of religious error.

Are they not doing whatever seems right in their own eyes?

“I’m curious whether you celebrate Easter as the Resurrection?”

____________

No, because I am not aware of any Authority in God’s Word to do such a thing.

I did when I was a younger, before I became a Christian, before I learned that the word “Easter” only appears in the King James version (Acts 12:4), which error, if I recall correctly, was at the insistence of King James himself, in the early 1600s. Every other translation I am aware of uses the word “Passover” in Acts 12:4.

I can observe it as a national holiday if I want, the same as Christmas, which also has no Scriptural authority for observance.

Jesus did not ask us to celebrate or memorialize His birth (i.e., Christmas). He did ask us to do one thing, to commemorate His death, on the first day of each week.

This act, instituted by Christ Himself, included symbolism Authorized by the Lord, bread to represent His body, and fruit of the vine to represent His shed blood.

This communion, observing the Lord’s Supper, was and is to be done on the first day of every week, when Christians gathered for worship (Acts 20:7, 1 Cor 16:2).

…………………………
“And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. [20] Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.” (Luke 22:19-20, KJV, see also Matthew 26:26-28, Mark 14:22-24)

.

“The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?” (1 Cor 10:16, KJV)

.

“For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: [24] And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

[25] After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

[26] For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.” (1 Cor 11:23-26, KJV)
………………………….

.
.

What if we do it wrong, unworthily? Should we not solemnly think upon and remember His sacrifice when we partake of the Lord’s Supper?

……………….
“Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.” (1 Cor 11:27)
……………….

.

Does this sound like we have any authority to just make stuff up as we see fit, to do as we please, to just wing it?

scott467

“I know quite a few Christians who don’t, because of the adoption of this goddess’s name, among other reasons.”

___________

Who ‘adopted’ it, and when, and by what Authority?

Three basic questions.

Three basic questions that ought to be asked (and answered) for every single thing we do in Christian belief and practice.

Because the answer will determine whether the thing in question is of men, or whether it is of God.

If it is of God, then we ought to do it.

If it is of men, if it was dreamed up and instituted by some man, then by definition it is without Authority, and we should not do the thing as a matter of Christian belief or practice.

This is so SIMPLE, so easy to understand.

It matters not at all what I think about it.

But to anyone who believes in God, shouldn’t it matter what God thinks about it?

Can man save us?

If the answer is “no”, then why on earth should we follow any man’s ways?

Can we save ourselves?

If the answer is “no”, then why should we follow what seems right in our own eyes?

Can God save us?

If the answer is “yes”, then why do we not simply follow His ways?

What need have we to follow the ways of any other?

scott467

“I think God allowed all of this to come about in the same way that He directed which books were included in the Bible. If He controlled the one, then He could definitely control the other, as I think He controls any and everything else He chooses to control.”

____________

I don’t know exactly what that means.

Do you mean that whatever we decide to do in matters of God, it’s okay with God, because He has control and we wouldn’t be doing it unless He approved?

People weren’t just adding beliefs and doctrines and traditions and practices way back when, it’s happening today, every day. Is God okay with that too?

If it’s not okay now, why would it have been okay a thousand years ago (or longer)?

And if it was okay a thousand years ago, then why have God’s Word at all? Why not just make up our own path to salvation, and believe whatever we want to believe?

Why don’t we just save ourselves according to our own belief, and leave God out of it?

There must be a reason why we don’t do that.

Or do we?

And if we do, should we have any hope of being saved?

.

scott467

“However, I also don’t see religion as some sort of “purity test” from God.”

____________

What ‘purity’?

I’ll try to use an example.

Suppose we’re in the military, and we operate a missile silo. We have a Military Manual, which says what to do and what not to do.

If we receive a lawful order from the CIC to launch the missile, there is a sequence of items to be observed and followed and executed.

If we don’t follow what the Manual says, we will not obtain the desired result, and the missile will not launch.

We can talk to ourselves about how we think it should work, we can even pretend that it operates the way we think it ought to — but unless we do it according to what the Manual actually says, that missile isn’t going anywhere.

We can call that a ‘purity test’ if we want to, it doesn’t matter to the people who wrote the manual, because they don’t care what the operators think about their instructions. It’s not relevant to them.

No different (on a much less critical scale) than the people who wrote the Owner’s Manual for our car, they don’t care what the operators think about their instructions either, because it’s not relevant to them. If we want to service the car properly (and maybe preserve the warranty), then we follow their instructions.

If we don’t, then we don’t.

If we want to the missile to launch, we follow the instructions. If we don’t, it won’t launch, no matter what we think about it, or why it should launch anyway, just because we want it to.

Everyone understands this when it comes to launching a missile, or to the proper maintenance of their car, and everything in between.

But when it comes to belief and practice in matters of God, it’s often as if we take our God-given capacity to understand basic things and throw it out the window.

So the question becomes “why”?

Why do we do that?

What is it that is causing us to abandon our common sense, our ability to understand basic reasoning, and decide to tinker with God’s Word, or even make up our own Manual out of whole cloth, to follow with regard to the eternal destination of our own soul?

There has to be a reason for doing something so insanely dangerous.

What is it?

If that reason begins with “I” (followed by anything, like “I think” or “I want”), isn’t that a red flag the size of eternity?

Because we are not the Authors of eternal salvation?

scott467

“Do I sound crabby? If I do, it’s because I am.”

____________

That’s okay, I understand!

It’s not uncommon. Everyone resists. The trick, for lack of a better word, is to understand why we resist, and overcome it.

.

“We are all different types of believers here,”

____________

No doubt.

If we care about the eternal destination of all these different types, then shouldn’t the question be, how many different types of believers are saved?

Is everyone saved?

………………….
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6, KJV)
………………….

Does that not rule out every way besides Jesus?

Or is Jesus a liar?

If we believe Jesus is a liar, then why would we (or anyone) follow Him?

Clearly we wouldn’t.

And if we believe Jesus is not a liar, if we believe Jesus is telling the truth, then why wouldn’t we (and everyone else) follow Him?

Is everyone saved?

………………….
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14, KJV)

“…and I don’t think it serves us to pit Protestant v. Catholic v. anything else. I just don’t.”

____________

I understand, but that’s not what it’s about.

It’s about truth.

It’s always about truth.

What is true and what is not.

I am not a Protestant, for the same reason I am not a Roman Catholic, because I cannot find any Authority in God’s Word for Protestantism, or Roman Catholicism, or denominationalism of any kind.

Where can it be found?

It is not found in God’s Word, and no one in the 1st century was any of these things when the Lord’s church was established.

So why be a Protestant?

Is it of men, or God?

Did Protestant die on a cross for anyone?

Why be a Roman Catholic?

Is it of men, or God?

Did Roman Catholicism die on a cross for anyone?

Someone (or some One) paid the price for our sin.

Was it not Jesus Christ, and no other?

…………………….
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
…………………….

What are the followers and disciples of Christ called?

Are they called Protestants?

Are they called Orthodox?

Are they called Roman Catholic?

Or are they called in a way that glorifies and recognizes Christ, the Son of God, who made our salvation possible by His obedient sacrifice, even unto death on the cross?

We know what followers of Jesus are called, because the Bible tells us so:

…………………
“And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” (Acts 11:26, KJV, boldface emphasis mine)
…………………

Christ died for us.

Christ made our salvation possible.

The followers of Christ in the 1st century were called Christians.

So why not just be a Christian?

By what Authority does anyone who identifies as a member of the body of Christ call himself after anything (or anyone) else?

……………………..
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12, KJV)
…………………….

scott467

“…and I don’t think it serves us to pit Protestant v. Catholic v. anything else. I just don’t.”

____________

I understand that you don’t.

What else can I do, except try to explain in a way which will impart understanding?

DP has a platform here as an author, and she uses it — in part — to dispense many things having to do with Roman Catholicism, including things which are not according to God’s Word.

That is not a small thing, it’s a big thing, because it has the very real potential to mislead people into eternal damnation.

That is either a real thing, or it isn’t.

If it isn’t, then nothing matters about anything.

But if it is, if I have cause to believe it is real, and I do, then I don’t want that for her or anyone else.

It is not what I think about it that matters (except to me, of course), but what God’s Word says must matter to anyone who believes in God.

No one disputes her right to publish the teachings of Roman Catholicism. If anyone believes those teachings are in error, do we not have the same right to point that out?

It is an uncontestable fact that Jesus did not teach the religion of Roman Catholicism, and the Apostles never practiced Roman Catholicism.

Because the religion of Roman Catholicism did not exist in the 1st century.

Does it make me happy to say that?

I assure you it does not.

But it is true.

Which is easier, to contest a thing, or to remain silent?

Does it make me happy to point out that a teaching or practice is not according to God’s Word?

It does not.

But if we believe God’s Word is true, if we believe the truth matters, is it right to remain silent in the presence of teaching that is contrary to or unsupported by God’s Word?

…………………
“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” (James 4:17, KJV)
…………………

Is God’s Word not truth?

………………….
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” (John 17:17)
…………………..

Does truth matter?

…………………
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” (Hosea 4:6, KJV)

“I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.” (2 John 1:4)

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” (3 John 1:4)
…………………

We fight for truth here, every day, don’t we?

Why should this subject be any different?

Unlike some, I make no appeal to the doctrines of men, to the commandments of men, or to the traditions of men, against all of which we are warned by Jesus in God’s Word (cf. Matthew 15:7-9, Mark 7:6-9, Colossians 2:20-22).

My appeal is always and only to the one source which every person who identifies as a believer in Christ must recognize as having Authority, which is the Word of God.

God’s Word is the one source of Authority about which unity can possibly be attained, because if some thing is stated plainly in God’s Word, who can deny it, without putting himself in a position to be fighting against God? (cf. Acts 5:38-39)

Contrariwise, are the doctrines, commandments and traditions of men not a constant and never ending source of division?

By definition?

When one group follows the words of certain men, and another group follows the words of certain other men, and yet other groups follow the words of yet other men, how can that be a recipe for anything other than division and controversy and confusion?

God is not the Author of confusion.

……………….
“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” (1 Corinthians 14:33, KJV)
……………….

If there can be peace, if there can be unity in Christ, how can it ever be achieved, if every group follows after the different doctrines and commandments and traditions of different men?

What is the one and only source of Authority which every man who believes in God must acknowledge and obey?

Is it not the Word of God?

If it is, then who is causing division?

Is it those who point to God’s Word, and God’s Word only?

Or is it those who appeal to doctrines, commandments and traditions (and books and letters and decrees) of men — which are found nowhere in God’s Word?

Kosher is not only about all avoiding certain animals. It begins how the animal is slaughtered and than prepared. I always buy kosher if I have a choice specially chicken.

Gail Combs

Kosher was also about avoiding animals most likely to give people diseases ESPECIALLY PIGS!

Yes avoiding some animals 🙂

Kosher is good. It is a clean way to do things. But I don’t stick to it.

I do not either except chicken. I buy Matzo meal and use it instead of breadcrumbs.

“Also interested: are you kosher? Would you not eat hare/rabbit or pork/bacon?”

_____________

I am not ‘kosher’, I’m not even exactly sure what ‘kosher’ means, except that it’s a food product that has been prepared according to some set of requirements according to Jewish religious observance.

And now I will look it up:

……………………..
Kosher
adjective
Judaism.

1) fit or allowed to be eaten or used, according to the dietary or ceremonial laws: kosher meat; kosher dishes; a kosher Torah scroll.

2) adhering to the laws governing such fitness: a kosher restaurant.
……………………..

So my general understanding was more or less correct, it has to do with Judaism, and Judaism is the Jewish religion of the Old Testament.

Christianity is New Testament.

I don’t think I have ever had rabbit/hare, but not because of religious reasons.

I don’t really like pork, like pork chops or a roasted ham. I like chicken better than pork. What I really like though, is rare steak. Cooked on a charcoal grill. 👍😎

I do like some foods that contain pork, sandwich meats like pepperoni, salami, etc., including sliced ham.

I like crispy bacon 😁

There is nothing in God’s Word about such symbolism, so it is of men and not of God, by definition.

Yes. I’m not saying it is found in Scripture. What I find interesting is what people through the ages have done with symbols, for both good and evil.

The word ‘rabbit’ is not found.

The word “coney” is found in Leviticus and Deuteronomy.

Unreal, Jussie Smollett Released from Jail During His Appeal
March 16, 2022 | Sundance | 22 Comments

“We have two tiers of justice, one for the entitled class and one for everyone else. They don’t even try to hide it.”

comment image(Chicago, AP) — Jussie Smollett was released from jail Wednesday following six nights behind bars after an appeals court agreed with his lawyers that he should be free pending the appeal of his conviction for lying to police about a racist and homophobic attack.

The former “Empire” actor walked out of the Cook County Jail surrounded by security. He did not comment as he got into an awaiting SUV, but his attorneys said Smollett, who is Black and gay, was the target of a racist justice system and people playing politics.
The appeals court ruling came after a Cook County judge sentenced Smollett last week to immediately begin serving 150 days in jail for his conviction on five felony counts of disorderly conduct for lying to police. (read more)

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.

AMEN.

St. Patrick’s Day is bittersweet for me. My father passed from cancer on March 17, some 16 years ago. He was nearly 84 years old. A veteran of WW II and the Naval Air Force in the China theater. Hard working and well liked man. He loved his DIL and grandchild dearly as they did him. I have missed him every day since he has been gone and look forward to our reunion in heaven.

Since Dr. COVID will raise his ugly head again in the near future, a bit of a ground report. In our area there appears to be a bit of a physician awakening to what the jabs have done. More and more reports of local PCP’s admitting to patients that the jabbed’s medical problems may have been worsened by them. Of course they are acting all innocent victim like when they admit it and are quick to tell the patients that they have also been jabbed. Yeah, OK, stupid is as stupid does, doc. Not going to trust you ever again unless I have no other viable options. That they are now admitting there are problems with them tell us all that more and more people are waking up about them and letting the docs and their staffs know exactly what they think.

singingsoul1

Your dad sounds like a very special man no wonder he is missed and loved. Good memories are worth holding onto. He always will be close to you in your heart 🙂

Of course, many places of work are nowhere near bus or train lines, not to mention delivery and service trucks need to go to specific addresses rather than stations… Their stupid, it burns…

(Of course, the finance minister from the FDP isn’t much better; he suggested tax rebates… didn’t occur to him to just cancel the tax which is scheduled to be canceled/reduced later this year in any case… whaddamaroon)…

Baphomet is actually an entirely made-up idol, originating around 1000 AD during the Crusades. It was supposedly worshiped by the Knights Templar, but that may have been a made-up accusation against them by the French King Philip IV, who had all the Templars arrested.

Moloch, on the other hand, is a Caananite child-sacrifice diety named in the Bible, and expressly forbidden by God. See Leviticus 18:21. Moloch-worship is what we are really dealing with in the dark underworld of today.

HORRIFIC: Satanic Temple makes “abortion ritual,” tries to make killing babies a protected religious rite

There is no secret that avowed Satanists are vocal abortion activists. For years, members of the Satanic Temple have participated in anti-Life protests and filed spurious lawsuits against Pro-Life laws. The latest antics from the Satanic Temple include the invention of an “abortion ritual,” which the groups claims is a religious rite for Satanists. According to this sick position, the Satanic Temple claims that abortion on demand is a protected religious practice. In the illogic of abortion activists and Satanists, laws protecting individuals’ conscience rights and religious practices should be used to allow for the killing of preborn babies.

In an announcement about the supposed “rite,” the Satanic Temple claims that the “abortion ritual” consists of speaking Satanic tenets while looking into a mirror before and after undergoing an abortion. The Satanic Temple website states that the abortion ritual “sanctifies the abortion process by instilling confidence and protecting bodily rights.” Obviously, the abortion is a direct violation of the “bodily rights” of the preborn baby whose life is ended, but the Satanists ignore this.

The Vatican Places Giant Statue of Molech at Colosseum Entrance

The Vatican Places Giant Statue of Molech at Colosseum Entrance November 8, 2019 November 9, 2019 News Division The Roman Colosseum is a World Heritage Site and is listed among the New Seven Wonders of the World. It is the most-visited tourist destination in the world.  And now at the grand entrance to the Colosseum rests a statue of the Canaanite deity that is associated heavily with child sacrifice.

The Colosseum was once a place that saw Christians fed to lions, killed by gladiators, or rolled into pitch and set on fire as torches. The Colosseum now seems to have erected Molech as its god.,,,

THE BOHEMIAN GROVE – Worshipping Molech – Child Sacrifice …
The fire god of the Ammonites, to whom human baby sacrifices were offered; Moloch. Also Molech is the biblical name of a Canaanite god associated with child sacrifice.

For two weeks every summer, the 2,700-acre secured private camp, 20601 Bohemian Avenue, in Monte Rio in the Ancient Redwood Forest of Northern California, plays host to a selectively-invited swath of the most powerful men in the world. Every Republican U.S. president since 1923 has been a member of this club, including Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan, Bill Clinton, and the Bush family, and maintains a strong involvement to this day…

This private club of influential men still meets annually north of San Francisco and uses this symbolic ritual to kick off its summer retreat. But today the ceremony involves burning a mummy-like effigy named ‘Care’ at the foot of the group’s mascot: a 40-foot-tall (12-meter-tall) concrete owl. One of the ancient and now well researched Canaanite deities that was and still is worshipped by the ‘Brotherhood’ is often symbolized as an owl and is referred to as Molech (sometimes Moloch).

On the first night of the club’s annual engagement, a secret ceremony takes place after dark. In front of the members, a small boat crosses the lake towards a group of dark, hooded figures waiting at the owl statue with a High Priest who receives a human effigy from the ferryman, places it at the foot of the shrine, and sets it on fire….

In July 2000 Alex Jones successfully infiltrated Bohemian Grove and documented the Cremation of Care sacrificial ceremony. Mike Hanson, author of ‘Bohemian Grove: Cult of Conspiracy’, knows about the wicked and terrible ritual and other unspeakable things that go on at the Grove. He and Alex Jones were the two who, in 2000, bravely and clandestinely got in and actually videotaped the amazing spectacle. They risked their lives to do so.

.

.

Famous occult orator, Texe Marrs’ rendition of Bohemian Grove:

“Imagine if you will, hundreds of men—the President of the U.S., perhaps a few guest Prime Ministers, Premiers, or Chancellors from foreign countries, an assortment of oil company titans, Hollywood actors, the heads of corporate giants like IBM, Bechtel, Halliburton, Bank of America, etc.; the Secretaries of State and Defense, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, and the list goes on—cavorting about, casually and sparsely clothed, urinating on trees and alongside walking and hiking trails, and incredibly behaving in an ungentlemanly, sordid sexual manner.

Dignitaries of the Bohemian Grove in San Francisco socialize with their favorite lubricant, alcohol. Notice the huge owl on a pedestal and also the interesting hand sign being displayed by the gentleman at left. These men drink tons of alcohol, lounge about, attend special talks, and schmooze with each other for some two weeks. Insiders report that homosexual link-ups are commonplace, and these lust-filled, depraved participants exhibit little or no shame in coupling in plain sight.

The centerpiece of the two-week encampment is the “Cremation of Care” ritual ceremonies. A virtual devil-fest, this pagan drama is a massive theatrical production with outstanding actors and actresses (male actors portray the female parts in the drama – major cross-dressing). Similar to the bacchanalias of ancient Europe in which the various gods and goddesses were worshipped, animalistic idols were venerated, sexual orgies were engaged in, and human beings sacrificed, the Bohemian ritual ranks at the top of the occultic Secret Society dramas.

It appears that the ancient Canaanite and Hebrew deity “Moloch” is represented at the Bohemian ritual by a 42-foot tall (some say forty foot) owl-like figure. Shrouded in flames, this owl deity is surrounded by Druidic priests and other characters. During the ceremony, chosen “victims” are sacrificed. Their screams and shrieks pierce and shatter the still night air. As God told Ezekiel long ago, “Go in and behold the wicked abominations that they do here” (Ezekiel 8:9).

Lt. Col. Allen West EXPOSES ‘Progressive Socialist Left, Delusional Republicans, for bowing down and worshiping Moloch …

The Bohemian Grove, an elusive elite club whose members include some of the most powerful and influential figures in American politics, business, and media, including the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is home to a 40-foot tall stone statue of what is widely believed to be Moloch, the satanic pagan god of child sacrifice…..

para59r

We’ll if its a made up name from the Crusades’, I’d offer an alternative but unsupported explanation from the same time period as it sounds like a play on this guys name: Bohemond I of Antioch (circa 1054-1111). Of course Bohemond was not from Antioch he was from an area that later would become France., Antioch was his illegal holding in the Holy Land but the story does not begin, nor end there. More on that, but first this.

There does not seem to be a clear understanding where the name Baphomet came from, but some scholars seem to think its a French bastardization of Mohamad.

Modern scholars agree that the name of Baphomet was an Old French corruption of the name “mahmoed”,[4] with the interpretation being that some of the Templars, through their long military occupation of the Outremer, had begun incorporating Islamic ideas into their belief system, and that this was seen and documented by the Inquisitors as heresy.[28] Alain Demurger, however, rejects the idea that the Templars could have adopted the doctrines of their enemies.

Alain Demgrger continues on and while I’d agree with his reasoning there may be a better explanation than what he said next (thus I omit such)

Meanwhile the name apparently first appears here:

The name Baphomet appeared in July 1098 in a letter about the siege of Antioch by the crusader Anselm of Ribemont

Okay, back to Bohemond. Who was he? Son of Robert Guisard an upstart Frenchmen who killed his father in law and seized his titles and lands and continued such until he amassed a large army of his own and then using false pretense by using a pretend past emperor wrongly deposed he claimed, whom he trotted out now and then to get folk angry and gather more followers as he stirred up trouble for the throne of Eastern Roman Empire at Constantinople threatening to replace the king with his imposter, though the kingship changed hands in the interim and his reasoning grew sour it did not stop him, he continued to pursue his prize any way. After a great deal of effort the rightful emperor. Alexios Komnene finally defeated his armies and got the man to stand down and take his army home. His son Bohemond led in some of those battles in that long protracted fighting and was well known to Alexios.

Anyway, as word spread in Europe about a Crusade to the holy lands, armies were gathered and started to march toward Constantinople, the first jumping off point into Moslem territory. These armies came in at staggered times, a total of 70-80 thousand passed through, but as each army appeared their leaders were invited into Constantinople and were given the ground rules personally by Alexios as they were going into territory that once belonged wholly to the Roman Empire (it was just the Eastern Empire, the Western Empire had centuries earlier disintegrated) and there were still many towns and cities still under his control or loyal to him. Essentially Alexios was making these leaders pledge to him, follow his rules, and not to be personally taking land for themselves but instead they’d be taking it for the Empire which they were really not part of. Many of them resisted the pledge, but Alexios was a hands on type, very pervasive, and not at all stingy in handing out small fortunes and giving good advice on military tactics when dealing with Muslim foe since the Eastern Roman Empire had been fighting them for at least three centuries, often very effectively.

Anne Komnene, Alexios daughters fills easily half her 450 page book with her fathers dealings and battles with Bohemond for which there were many, both before, during and after the first crusade.

Anyway, Bohemond took the pledge and riches offered to him, as he came with one of the larger armies, and then broke the pledge when he arrived at Antioch, taking the city for himself from one of the Crusader knights that had already taken it before him only to get kicked out again when Kosars (yes same ones we’ve been reading about) showed up with a huge army to help with the Turks. With some more back and forth Bohemond got possession again of Antioch, gave it his son Tancerd, and then mucked about in the region until Alexios showed up with a force to kick him out of the region for being a grade A trouble maker. Indeed Alexios found himself having to personally police by force of arms many of crusading armies while they were over there.

Which brings up how the Western Crusading Armies acted during the Crusades. First they didn’t know the language or customs. Had a hard time understanding why the Roman’s dealt with the Moslems as they did. For the Roman’s, Moslems were dealt with on a case by case basis. You submit to the Emperor’s wishes or you die. They dealt with them harshly but gave them a chance first and often let them change their minds after getting beaten badly. It was the same way with the Muslims. You get your chance to submit to Allah and pay your tax. If not, bad things. The western crusaders didn’t quite get that. It was a long learning curve for them. They would often come through an area and put every one to the sword, Muslim, Christian it often didn’t matter. These are the kinds of things that made Alexios mad and had him running around getting things fixed as he contended against Muslim forces as well as Crusader forces.  There were a lot of atrocity’s going on, on all sides. In normal combat, killing of woman and children only occurred when the fighters were fighting back. Then it was acceptable. The western crusaders seemed to have a hard time figuring that part out. The language barriers likely didn’t help. Resist or not, if they were in a killing mood you were dead. There are even stories of them boiling babies alive according to Anne Komene’s worst example.

Anyway, to my assumption about Bohemond and Baphomet. Many towns and cities were held for long periods of times by these Western Crusaders. By that I mean many months and years by the same force as they used them as bases of operation. There was a certain amount of resentment toward Alexios also. Bohemond was a very popular figure in Crusades whether you marched with him or under another banner. Bohemond was often two faced with Alexios. Says yes sire, yes sire, yes sire when Alexios is about and then does what he pleases when he was not. Troops and other leaders see this and pretty much do the same things. When asked about such, they’d likely give a half truth, well that’s what Baphomet did. Confusing the issue by meaning both Bohemond and Mohamed. Couple that with occupying a town or city for a long period of time where what happens there is reportable to no one out side your chain of command and there’s little telling what secret rituals and customs some Crusader forces developed for themselves and blamed on Baphomet in a joking sort of matter.

Anyway, Alexios eventually had enough of the dirty dealings and Bohemond lost his army to Alexios and had to escape by sea heading to Italy, living in a coffin with a dead chicken tossed in for a week or so. A couple of years latter he came back to the Greek mainland to make war on Alexios and after a few more months was again subdued, and subjected himself and all his forces, (which were considerable both on the Greek mainland and those in the Holy land), and made terms with Alexios once again. His son Tancred was supposed to give up Antioch but reneged on his fathers promise when he died of natural causes.  So once again we return to Antioch where Tancred, Bohemond’s son, had been left for a long time disobeying Alexios the whole time and likely its there this joking thing about Baphomet likely took root with a bit of ritual, mythos, and secret ancestor worship and then spread.

“Jeff Zients, White House COVID response coordinator, to leave post”

Methinks “somebody” had enough of Jeff Zients and pushed him out. He’ leaving next month. His replacement is DR. ASHISH JHA, an internist and dean of the Brown University School of Public Health.
If one does a little digging into the background of Dr. Jha, one finds that he was connected to Harvard University School of Public Health and the faculty director of the Harvard Global Health Institute; that he was mixed up with the ALBRIGHT STONEBRIDGE GROUP (founded by Madeleine Albright); was the initial advocate for that “TWO WEEK NATIONAL QUARANTINE TO SLOW THE SPREAD” of COVID back in March, 2020.
Dr. Jha was born in India in 1970. He and his family moved to Toronto (CA) in 1979, then to the United States in 1983. He graduated from a high school in New Jersey in 1988, then went to Columbia University (BA, 1992) before attending medical school at Harvard (MD, 1992). I can find no information as to when his parents became naturalized American citizens, nor any information regarding whether Dr. Jha separately accomplished this process. However, Dr. Jha is referred to as an “Indian American” in his biographies.

I remember gas at $0.22 and buying $2.00 worth to keep Mom happy when I borrowed her car. I also remember babysitting for $0.50 an hour and Dad’s salary as $3,000 which was considered a GOOD salary as Mom did not have to work and they could afford to put three kids thru college.

singingsoul1

I remember that also. My husband bought a Karmann Ghia for $2000. We loved that car. Drove in it 4 months pregnant from NYC to St Louise MO . We thought he we would be rich earning $10,000 a year 🙂 Our first house was $16,000.

Gail Combs

My parents bought a house in NYC (Manhattan) for $3,000. Fifty years later my cousin bought a house in NYC for $300,000 and now the median price is $1.1 million. (Manhattan)

singingsoul1

Prices have gone way up. Salaries for many professionals have gone way up also.

Gail Combs

True but the salaries do not keep up with the costs.

When I first married out of school, We could have saved up enough in seven years and bought a house in cash, with no mortgage in with both of us working. Now it takes two to just stay afloat in a rental.

singingsoul1

That is true. The costs really have gone bunkers. One almost do not get much of a car under $30,000. That would have been a priced beautiful home for upper middle class 1964.
Our consumerism has driven up costs also. Our house only 1 full and 1/2 bathroom . Most young people want minimum 2 full baths. People are spoiled. For some years when I grew up we had an out house.

Gail Combs

A lot of it was driven by built in obsolescence. I have muck buckets that are over thirty years old and are still good. I have new ones that last a couple years and then disintegrate… SO I HAVE TO BUY NEW.

Kids used to have bikes. A fancy one had THREE speeds and the cheaper were one speed with a coaster break. They got passed down. Heck I STILL have my bike. Now little kids have electric vehicles (mostly plastic) that last a few years at best.

Toys used to be wooden or metal. Now they are cheap Chinese plastic that last a year if you are lucky.

There is PAINT that will LAST but instead cars are painted with crap paint that causes them to rust out….

singingsoul1

Good summary that most things do not last.
I have some sheets from my husband’s mother and even a couple of towels all in good condition. True old things last longer.

This is an absolutely fantastic article to send to the normiest of normies. It is a historical and fascinating exposition about the role of yellow journalism in war, and how it has actually fomented wars. Hopefully it will push people to question some of the narratives flowing from our current media out of Ukraine.

“It was the so-called golden age of newspapers, after the influence of the Industrial Revolution gave rise to the “penny press” — newspapers you could buy at the street corner without a subscription. Competing magnates like William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer fought for readers, and they did so by trying to produce the most sensational news possible.

As the story goes, in the year before the Maine exploded, Hearst had commissioned reporter Frederic Remington to go to Cuba, where Cuban revolutionaries were skirmishing with their Spanish colonizers. When Remington sent Hearst a wire to explain he was leaving Cuba because there was no war to cover, Hearst reportedly replied, “You furnish the pictures and I’ll furnish the war.””

NORTH CAROLINA CANVASING
(The people in NC were TRAINED BTW.)

ALSO NOTE: Judicial Watch Settles North Carolina Voter Roll Lawsuit

Judicial Watch announced today that it is settling its lawsuit against North Carolina and two of its counties after they removed over 430,000 ineligible names from the voter rolls.

Judicial Watch filed its lawsuit against the State of North Carolina, Mecklenburg County and Guilford County in April 2020 (Judicial Watch v. North Carolina and North Carolina State Board of Elections, et al. (No. 3:20-cv- 211)).

In June 2019, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) released data showing that voter registration rates in a significant proportion of North Carolina’s 100 counties were close to, at or above 100% of their age-eligible citizenry – statistics considered by the courts to be a strong indication that a jurisdiction is not taking the steps required by law to remove ineligible registrants. Judicial Watch’s analysis also showed that at the time of the EAC report the entire State of North Carolina had a registration rate close to 100% of its age-eligible citizenry.

Lawyer Chuck Kitchen told me back in 2016 that 20 of those 100 counties had MORE VOTES than live adult bodies.

Not if you suspect things are going to go nuclear.
Not that they are, but I don’t think Putin is one bit intimidated by the west. It seems as if he has every intent to finish what he’s started.

Just a quick for what it’s worth up date.
Across the road, a large farm field, and a rail road track from my house is an industrial park. In that industrial park the US Border Patrol has a logistics operation. Part of that is a shooting range. Normally every day you can hear a few shots coming from the range as officers test fire their weapons. Today, there’s been a lot of shooting over there, many multiple rounds, spaced out for a couple hours at least. Not something I’ve head before. Very high tempo from what is usual.

Trump’s Brilliant but Sneaky 2024 Strategy – Republican Daily
Trump’s Brilliant but Sneaky 2024 Strategy
By
Admin
Published on March 15, 2022

What is it that he’s doing? Not wanting to take a chance in 2024 that red state governors or their underlings will stab him in the back, he’s building an army of his America First Secretary of State candidates, pushing them in red states across the country so that that vital position is filled by America First candidates.

Why are they so important? Because, broadly speaking, secretaries of state are in charge of the vote. As BallotPedia puts it, “The officeholder also often serves as the chief election official in their state, administering state elections and maintaining official election results.

So, Trump is building an army of election officials to fortify his already strong position in red states and building new bases of power in purple states.
It’s become such a major, provocative strategy that even the fake news New York Times has caught on. In fact, that outlet, The New York Times, reported:

All told, some 21 candidates who dispute Mr. Biden’s victory are running for secretary of state in 18 states, according to States United Action, a nonpartisan group tracking races for secretary of state throughout the country.

[…]Many of the election deniers are running in solidly red states where it is less likely that their actions could tilt a presidential election. But several others, who have formed a coalition calling itself the America First slate, are running in states won by Mr. Biden in 2020, including in the crucial battleground states of Michigan, Arizona and Nevada.

Noting the significance of that, Wayne Dupree’s site reports:

Their candidacies are alarming watchdog groups, Democrats and some fellow Republicans, who worry that these Trump supporters, if elected to posts that exist largely to safeguard and administer the democratic process, would weaponize those offices to undermine it — whether by subverting an election outright or by sowing doubts about any local, state or federal elections their party loses.

For decades, secretaries of state worked in relative anonymity, setting regulations and enforcing rules for how elections were administered by local counties and boards. Some held their jobs for many years and viewed themselves not as politicians but as bureaucrats in chief, tending to such arcane responsibilities as keeping the state seal or maintaining custody of state archives.

So, Trump has created an army of secretaries of state ready to work on his behalf to push conservative ideals and run the states as he’d like them to be run. Even if he’s not in power right now, by having so many influential people in the same position, Trump and his allies can work to ensure that red states follow similar strategies and keep up the good fight in mutually supporting ways as 2024 approaches.

more food for thought from CS Lewis

We must simply accept it that we are spirits, free and rational beings, at present inhabiting an irrational universe, and must draw the conclusion that we are not derived from it. We are strangers here. We come from somewhere else. Nature is not the only thing that exists. There is ‘another world’, and that is where we come from. And that explains why we do not feel at home here. A fish feels at home in the water. If we ‘belonged here’ we should feel at home here. All that we say about ‘Nature red in tooth and claw’, about death and time and mutability, all our half-amused, half-bashful attitude to our own bodies, is quite inexplicable on the theory that we are simply natural creatures. If this world is the only world, how did we come to find its laws either so dreadful or so comic? If there is no straight line elsewhere, how did we discover that Nature’s line is crooked?

Mini ground report:

Finally, after more than a year I encountered A staff person maskless at the pharmacy. All the others I saw were still wearing masks–sigh…

We had occasion to have a celebratory dinner out at a nice restaurant for a family member’s birthday. This is a small, expensive, family owned operation that’s been in the area for decades (though hubby & I had never been). There were tight quarters in the waiting area, people shoulder to shoulder yet no one seemed bothered by human proximity. In the more than 3 hours we were there only One person was wearing a mask, looked like a 20-something (woke?) female. Otherwise people were just enjoying a night out. Tableside salad & dessert prep was quite entertaining & caused some joking between our table & a neighboring one. I had a lovely time of fellowship w/ a Jewish widow, sparked by my remarking on a Seder dish prominently displayed. Our waiter approached our table delivering something as we were just joining hand to pray. He ended up laying hands on the 2 nearest patrons (dad & hubby) & completed our circle of prayer–never has this happened in ALL the years of eating out & praying in restaurants. I engaged him briefly in conversation as we were leaving to thank him for praying with us & relay some encouraging words about God’s grace & our son Josiah. Blessings all around!

This restaurant has figured a bit into the local lore. Years back there was a homeless man, Patrick, that mostly hung out in our downtown area. He was a former lawyer, having fallen on hard times & heavy drink & seemed well adjusted to his lifestyle. One time hubby saw P on his way home from work on a cold day & offered to buy him a Little Caesar’s Hot & Ready pizza but P said that he’d already feasted on goodies someone from that restaurant had given him through their alley door. The homeless guy was eating better than we were! My parents had been to that restaurant for their anniversary & were serenaded tableside by an elderly tenor singer, who was sadly now deceased (when they’d called to attempt to make reservations for us the lady had said he was still around–confused much?). While waiting to be seated & perusing the interesting memorabilia on display we saw a certificate for a man who’d made it to the North Pole, 000* 00′. They had a Latin term for the feat & it’s English counterpart, which escapes me. This achievement was obtained sometime in the 1970’s…wonders abound!

The local library has finally removed its entrance area mask demands if “not vaccinated”. They still have such signs posted by the public computers but no one has checked on any of these things for months, at least that I have seen. They still recommend that everyone wear a mask to protect everyone else–whatever!

Our middle son’s car was on the fritz & he spent like 20 hours over the weekend working on it to no avail. He ended up borrowing mine for a few days while his was hauled in to the shop & it won’t even get evaluated til the 23rd! I said I needed mine back for Thursday & Friday this week so he began looking into rental options, which the “cheapest” he found was going to be $800 for 2 weeks–yikes! A friend had just gotten a new to her vehicle & wanted to unload her 2009 Honda & was willing even to sell it to the junkyard for $500 as scrap. Brandon talked with her & checked the vehicle out then they agreed on a price that was more than she thought she’d get & less than he thought he’d have to pay. He spent like 3 hours & $300 doing brakes & a couple other things last night, hours on the phone w/ insurance & was potentially going to be able to drive this car today/tomorrow for roughly 3 weeks of rental costs. He still has his other car to get repaired or not & to hopefully sell. In this Very Tight Used Car Market having all this come together in just such a way in just the right time is Literally an answer to many prayers. God is so good & I’m thankful to see tangible evidence of how he’s caring for our family’s needs, large & small!

Today the weather climbed into the lower 70’s for the first time since Winter descended!

Very interesting interview with Dr. Lee Merritt just ended livestream about half an hour ago.

C19 absolutely created in a lab. Do not let them lie about variants because the very small part that makes us sick are due to 4 INVARIABLE inserts on the spike protein…those inserts do NOT exist in nature.

At the end of the interview Dr. Lee Merritt mentions that the vaccines are racially targeted. European whites over 50%…blacks over 30%. But Asians, Finns (Korean lineage), Ashkenazic Jews…oddly those that brought the jab to us (Rothchilds etc) are not affected.

The part about Asians not being affected by the population control function of the jab reminds me of a theory I read last year that Asians would be spared because they are already a population that has been conditioned for obedience.

Cuppa Covfefe

That would seem to fit with

SARS (back in 2004?) targeted Asians,
MERS targeted Middle-Easterners, and
COVID is targeting (mostly) Europeans.

Looks like they’re building an arsenal of selective Eugenics…

Derp state deserves a dose of their own “medicine”…..

(And I think SARS is where they started conditioning sheeple people to wear the masks. It seems like almost every photo/vid from Asia during that timeframe was filled with people obediently wearing masks… Preconditioning)…

I do not know how We the People get a grip on this anymore. A lot of work and praying to do.

The way I’m reading it, is that there will be either physicians or RPNs who will essentially provide a general prescription behind a standing order to dispense OTC.

This part seems key:

II. Licensed pharmacists following standing orders may dispense ivermectin to persons in this state without a prior prescription.

The order even tells pharmacists that they are not subject to board discipline on this, and tells the boards that they can’t sanction pharmacists. Pharmacists cannot take incentives, either – another way that the boards try to control them.

This is gonna put those Obamatized woke boards in their places.

National Pulse Story. Sounds like fun, hope they have a good time.
Ukraine’s Foreign Volunteers Are Being Told They Won’t Be Able to Leave… It’s a ‘Death Warrant’.
Real News and Investigations.
Foreign nationals traveling to aid Ukraine’s war effort are reportedly being duped into signing indefinite service contracts. The Ukrainian Army has denied such allegations while failing to provide evidence of military contracts stating otherwise.

As the nation’s war with Russia broke out, the International Legion for the Defence of Ukraine was been formed, with people from around the globe welcomed – and encouraged – to join the fight. At the beginning of March, Ukrainian President Zelensky announced to his Telegram channel that 16,000 foreigners (the number is now estimated to be 20,000) had volunteered.

Some of the volunteers are former military personnel, while others have joined with little to no combat experience. But despite wanting to join the Ukrainian army, recruits from across the West are being turned off upon their arrival at the Polish border, with many claiming they have been unable to see contracts until they arrive in Ukraine.

Those who have persisted claim to have similar, first-hand experiences with the contractual arrangements.

Contracts with the Ukrainian government allegedly state those joining will be under the “same obligations” as Ukrainian men, and that those fighting will be earning 7000 hryvnia a month (the equivalent of 237.37 dollars). Under martial law, the people who sign this contract from the ages of 18-60 will have to “remain in the Ukrainian foreign legion for the duration of war” – many feeling they are essentially signing a “death warrant”, according to eyewitness reports at The Economist.

Of those who have entered Ukraine to fight against the Russians, stories have included reports of poor vetting measures, alongside tales of violence as Ukrainian agents mistake them for Russian saboteurs. A British soldier who opened up about his experience under Ukrainian investigation spoke of guards who had “slammed” his head down, whacking him “eight or nine times” leading him to endure a concussion and heavy bleeding, The Sun reported.

Following the announcements of foreign nationals joining the Ukraine fight, Russia warned of “criminal” prosecutions. Though men joining the are technically entitled to prisoner of war status should they be captured, a Russian military spokesman recently said that foreigners aiding Ukraine will be treated as “mercenaries” and would not “enjoy the status of prisoners of war.” Russian sources further stated: “at best, they can expect to be prosecuted as criminals.”

Russian defense officials have further backed this claim with the announcement that they had “killed 180 foreign fighters in Ukraine” and that this destruction would “continue”. While Ukraine actively recruits foreign fighters, Russians continue to warn foreigners of intense repercussions.

Additional volunteers continue to be dissuaded by Ukrainian contractual terms, low-payment issues, poor vetting measures, and fear of Russian castigation, many continuing to flee at the Polish border. It is still unclear how many of the 20,000 volunteers have arrived in Ukraine.

TheseTruths

This might sound weird, but I attribute that in part to their not knowing and respecting their own country. If they appreciated America and recognized the differences between her and other countries they might think twice about going on some global do-gooder mission that could get them detained and/or killed.

kalbokalbs

Absolutely. These people volunteering ARE stoopid.

Happy for their misery.

Gail Combs

The penalty for STUPIDITY is often DEATH!

kalbokalbs

Or, a few of these goofs return to the US missing a limb. No insurance.

The stoopid is so strong on this one.

para59r

Some how I doubt this fits there romanticized vision of being free agents on a battle field. If they came that far to be there and are brave enough, they should sneak across the border and pretend to be a lost tourist. If they accept this thing described above, its the same thing as being conscripted and comes with not just loss of freedoms but it’s own penalties from the people they’ve come to serve, the ultimate being summary execution for desertion.

para59r

Video games will need to add an induction or not to be inducted mode in their games.

As we say in the south, “Dem boys don’t have a lick of sense.”

If they want to die, let ’em.

bflyjesusgrl 🍊 😎NUCLEAR MAGA😎

I’ve seen stories too of them sending volunteers to the frontlines with no equipment. If they’re lucky enough to get a gun, they only get 10 rounds of ammo. That’s why many want to leave but can’t.

New York City Sheriff’s departments that have been underfunded, spent money to buy 400 bullet proof vests that were gonna be shipped to Ukraine to protect Ukrainians and now they’ve been stolen. 400 of ‘em – it’s gonna be a hot summer in New York City this year…

“The tactical vests, which were donated by local law enforcement, were taken at around 9:15 am from the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America and the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America on Second Avenue in Manhattan, sometime overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday, the New York Post reported.

Police said they ‘were informed that approximately 400 bullet proof vests that were removed from the location,’ after responding to a call of a burglary, NYPD Sergeant Edward Riley said. ‘It is despicable that someone would break into a building to steal supplies and materials intended to aid those affected by this humanitarian crisis,’ Vicki DiStefano, a spokeswoman for the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, which made a large donation of vests last week, told WABC-TV of New York City.”

Russian mafia!

litenmaus

Hah! My thought as well….:0)

I watched the video of these ‘burglars’ that was captured on camera…They weren’t professional burglars by any stretch of the imagination, and it appeared to me that they knew they were loading up exactly what they had come.

I’m guessin’ that Natasha called Boris and told him she’d finished packing up all the vests and would leave the boxes by the front door for the cleaning crew.

Nor'easter

(a/k/a “UKRAINIANS”)
😉

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

LOL! Yeah, I was thinking that the Ukie mafia ain’t no slackers, either. And since stealing their own flak jackets and then demanding insurance payment for them is “Pure Chalupa Theatre”, I’m putting half my money on the Ukies as well!

Nor'easter

And the good news is that they’ll probably wind up in Ukraine anyway !

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

LOL!!!

Gail Combs

Nah, they will end up in Harlem.

kalbokalbs

OBVIOUSLY, to me anyway, the New York Sheriff’s did NOT need those 400 bullet proof vests.

AND, WASTED TAX PAYER DOLLARS BUYING 400 Bullet Proof Vests.

litenmaus

Kevlar vests run anywhere fro $ 150 to $ 800 each….If ya take, 400 vests at the mid-range price of $ 500 a piece…..We’re talkin’ $200,000.

kalbokalbs

I do wonder who “approved” donating 400 bullet proof vests AND did they have the “legal authority” to do so.

I don’t care enough to pursue. This IS NYC citizens, perhaps a DA issue.

ROBERT BAKER

I am sure you have figured out that the government class employ their entire careers spending other people’s money. After a few years they don’t even give it a second thought.

gil00

Here the SD have to pay for their vests and uniforms. Depts dont even pay for the external vest cover which are custom made. Can run $175 and up, just for the cover!

GA/FL

There were 450 – used 5 year old ‘decommissioned’ vests – donated by the sheriff’s department to the Ukrainian organization – https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/400-bulletproof-vests-destined-ukraine-stolen-nyc-nonprofit-organizati-rcna20237

Must have been a huge heavy bulky theft – need a big truck to haul them away.

A couple of decades ago, the Fiancee and I were involved with a similar situation.

As it turns out, fire-resistant gear for firemen is only certified for a few years. There’s nothing wrong with it by itself, but it is anticipated that fire-resistant materials will be so much better in a few years that allowing someone to wear an old piece would would constitute negligence if anyone got hurt. But the old stuff will still do the job.

The Fiancee had contacts with Colima, Mexico, from her ‘teens and 20’s…..and a scheme was initiated.

We went around to Bay Area fire stations and collected “expired” fire clothing (like “turnout jackets”) that had been retained…..even though insurance companies would blanch if it were ever used. Then it was collected in (IIRC) Texas, and smuggled across the border, and trucked to Colima.

Mind you, volunteer firemen in Colima previously showed-up to fires in sandals and serapes.

We got a report about a fire some time later where the firemen showed up in turnout coats that said “Sunnyvale” across the back, and fire resistant pants. Unfortunately, they were still wearing sandals — and, sadly, we didn’t get pictures.

The big grift is front-loaded. Fire-resistant clothing that would be fire-resistant for decades being decertified for legal liability concerns in five years, but purchased because the money from on-high was available now. All the fire stations that held onto the gear knew that it was grift and tried to hold the value. The prospect that it could save lives in Colima made them very happy to contribute.

On an inflationary note, I am curious about something.
How much are you men are paying for a haircut?
Prices here keep jumping.
Kiddo is $20, mr gil is $22. Not including any tip….for 15 minutes on avg.

para59r

Fifteen with tip, but hasn’t been for a while. I average three to four cuts a year.

gil00

Cheap. Mr gil is every 2 and kiddo seems every 7 weeks!

kalbokalbs

Been a several decades. Benefit of being kalbo – bald. :wpds_razz:

gil00

Lol. Yes but you spend it on hats and sunscreen!

kalbokalbs

Yea, rarely without a hat and sunglasses. 🙂

cthulhu

I got a FloBee. Anyone who wants me to look more stylish than that can pony-up for it.

Incidentally, as soon as I can get a photo-shoot of me saying, “It’s….”** — all my current grunge is going away.

gil00

Ha. You guys here are different thats for sure.

Yup. NATO – almost as bad as CHINA.

China links NATO with “Absolute power corrupts absolutely”.

Sorta, IC, DOJ, FIB and HLS.

gil00

I thought it was interesting coming from the Chinese to point it out. Lots of bitterness around the world.

kalbokalbs

More and more, I understand their point of view.

GA/FL

Communist China – one of the most despotic and corrupt nations in the world – that has unleashed wave after wave of disease upon the world – SARS I and II, H1N1 and several others – along with sub-grade steel, toxic baby and dog foods, flammable building materials, dry-wall with dangerous substances, glass bakeware that exploded in the oven, intellectual property and cyber-theft, pollution of the ocean, among other offenses – should not criticize NATO for a single mistake.

gil00

Everyone pointing fingers when they are all guilty of their own misdeeds.
