Dear KAG: 20191016 Open Thread

In honor of the 103rd anniversary of eugenicist Margaret Sanger opening a “family planning” clinic, sold to the world as a supposed kind act to ease women’s burdens, today’s open thread is dedicated to men.

Time for the morning routine.

HGTV has nothing on Home Improvement.

And…of course, who can forget the most classic of the classic radio ads ever put together. (Please, listen as time allows.)

Time for some theme music. Today’s feature is the reluctant hero.

Ah, that gets the blood going.

Okay, so here’s the deal. This is the open thread. This is where we all come to get the news that other Q tree inhabitants think is worth knowing and sharing. Please, post links to any “news” stories quoted, and ask for help if you are stumped as to how to do that. We’re a friendly lot. Someone will be with you shortly, and there is no reason to have to press one for English.

Free speech, and the open exchange and hashing out of ideas is not only allowed, but encouraged. If we all don’t use it, we’re going to lose it. A little incivility goes a long way, though.

Don’t make Wolf resort to this.

Enough fawning over the guys. Too much more and it’s going to go to their heads. Time to get the day started.

And now for some house keeping:

There are a few rules here in the branches of the Q Tree. Our host, Wolfm00n, outlined them in a post on New Years Day. Please, review these rules from time to time. You know, like when cooling down after a beer is thrown on you.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

Steve suggests – to be accurate – no shooting at the nuclear weapons, but to be safe about it, don’t event point firearms toward them. I, Deplorable Patriot, bossy chick that I am, request no teasing the animals, pets and wildlife alike.

Teasing and trolling the lefties and their bastions, on the other hand is a moral imperative.

__________________________________________________

In the eternal fight against the forces of evil and darkness, unceasing prayer is always needed.

Today’s Lectionary reminds us that we on Earth don’t necessarily have the last word:

ROM 2:1-11

You, O man, are without excuse, every one of you who passes judgment.
For by the standard by which you judge another you condemn yourself,
since you, the judge, do the very same things.
We know that the judgment of God on those who do such things is true.
Do you suppose, then, you who judge those who engage in such things
and yet do them yourself,
that you will escape the judgment of God?
Or do you hold his priceless kindness, forbearance, and patience
in low esteem, unaware that the kindness of God
would lead you to repentance?
By your stubbornness and impenitent heart,
you are storing up wrath for yourself
for the day of wrath and revelation
of the just judgment of God,
who will repay everyone according to his works,
eternal life to those who seek glory, honor, and immortality
through perseverance in good works,
but wrath and fury to those who selfishly disobey the truth
and obey wickedness.
Yes, affliction and distress will come upon everyone
who does evil, Jew first and then Greek.
But there will be glory, honor, and peace for everyone
who does good, Jew first and then Greek.
There is no partiality with God.

As always, prayers for the fight against that which seeks to enslave us are welcome.

And now, on to the day’s news…..

Max Blumenthal has article in zeroHedge on Atlantic Council
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/dcs-atlantic-council-raked-funding-hunter-bidens-corruption-stained-ukrainian-employer
The think tank’s shady arrangement with Burisma, the gas company at the center of “Ukrainegate.”

daughnworks247

Blumenthal’s article, originally posted in his own, The Gray Zone, was where I spent most of extra time yesterday. The links are a treasure trove.
We added all of these to the big timeline.
Glad that Zerohedge picked it up.
Goes to Wolfie’s razor threads….. they’re not stupid. They know all the background. They’re intentionally evil and playing dumb. It’s horrible. They overthrew Ukraine, and then looted it, using our taxpayer dollars.
If we shipped Joe Biden back to Ukraine, they would put him in jail. He’s a hated man in Ukraine.

ladypenquin

Biden being hated in Ukraine is even better than I thought. It means they’ll be interested in making sure POTUS/DOJ know all of his corruption. And that will get out there. Biden’s candidacy isn’t the issue, what would be delicious is exposing the threads leading not only to Obama, but Soros, the Deep State, the globalists, etc.

nikkichico7

Then by all means strip him of his citizenship and deport him in chains to the Ukraine .. 😃👍

President Trump Vetoes Resolution Blocking His National Emergency Declaration to Divert Funds From Pentagon to Build Border Wallcomment image
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2019/10/president-trump-vetoes-resolution-blocking-his-national-emergency-declaration-to-divert-funds-from-pentagon-to-build-border-wall

Gudthots

from the article…
Trump issued the veto in the middle of the clown show Democrat debate Tuesday night.
“In short, the situation on our southern border remains a national emergency, and our Armed Forces are still needed to help confront it,” Trump’s message to the Senate said.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s office said the Senate will vote on President Trump’s veto later this week, however neither chamber of Congress has the votes to override Trump’s veto.
Senators last month voted 54-41 on a resolution to end the emergency declaration which would allow Trump to divert funds from the Pentagon to build a border wall.
11 Republican Senators voted with the Democrats to end the emergency declaration:
Senators Lamar Alexander (TN), Roy Blunt (MO), Susan Collins (ME), Mike Lee (UT), Jerry Moran (KS), Lisa Murkowski (AK), Rand Paul (KY), Rob Portman (OH), Mitt Romney (UT), Pat Toomey (PA) and Roger Wicker (MS) voted to end the president’s emergency declaration on Wednesday likely prompting a veto showdown.
The President declared a national emergency back in February and vetoed a prior resolution passed by the Senate to kill his declaration.

Linda

Sometimes Rand Paul just makes me shake my head. He needs a good kick in the butt.

phoenixrising37

Totally agree Linda………..
can’t even imagine what grounds he has to vote to end…..

Perhaps Rand Paul would prefer little to NO military spending.

Those Bud Light ads were a staple in these parts for YEARS. Then InBev bought out A-B, and POOF, they were gone. They were hilarious. I mean Mr. Taco salad inventor. Congratulations on a 10,000 calorie salad. Is it healthy? Of course it is. It’s a salad.

cthulhu

It has certainly been a day of alarums and excursions…..and I filed my taxes. My mental scheduler flagged me back on the 9th (The Fiancee’s birthday), but there were things…..last night, I got the computer to finally behave and give me what I wanted.
Then, this morning, I find out that the pdf output from the tax program inexplicably wanted legal-sized paper. Looked fine on screen, bollixed the printer. I suppose I should be happy it didn’t demand A4.
Once I had that straightened out, got everything printed, signed, enveloped, and addressed, I toddled off to the Post Office, where I was asked if my mail contained anything incendiary, dangerous, toxic, or noxious. That set me back a bit…..I hesitantly replied, “well, they’re tax returns…..” To which the clerk replied, “oh, only dangerous to your wallet.”
I checked into the news a couple of times today…..each time seemed like a completely different year. Hunter Biden speaks!!!! Then a complete quash of what Hunter Biden said. Betrayed Kurds!!!! Then a complete embargo on what’s happening in Syria. ‘Peach-foty-fie!!!! Then Nanzi comes on and says, “we really don’t need to do this like we’re going anywhere with it. Our intent is only to smear dirt.”
It’s been a visit to the circus…..but not to the enjoyable intended presentation. More like backstage where the lady on trapeze is having an affair with Ukraine — oh, sorry, I meant the lion tamer. Topping it off with a 12-person Dem debate freakshow just made it complete.
But, I’ve got to say…….things are moving at the speed of Trump!

kalbokalbs

The Rotals are too often nauseating buffoons.

patfrederick

LMAO!!

TheseTruths

I don’t understand what the Dems think they’re accomplishing. They have to have a plan in mind. They’re not allowing Repubs in the room, and of course Repubs aren’t allowed to question witnesses, so they have no idea what is being said in the hearings. Neither does the public. So what do the Dems plan to do with the testimony? Leak parts they think would be damaging to Pres. Trump? Try to get public opinion on their side? Get enough “trumped up” evidence that they can eventually hold an impeachment vote?
But I don’t think they want an impeachment trial in the Senate that would involve top lawyers and discovery, so I don’t think they want real impeachment. So what are they going to do with a bunch of secret testimony?
It’s Russiagate and Kavanaugh all over again. I don’t see what the end game is for Dems, unless it’s going to be obstruction of justice for not cooperating with the sham proceedings. Then what? Wouldn’t they still have to take an impeachment vote on that?
Maybe they think this is working for them in the public’s view. I can’t imagine that being the case.

patfrederick

well i think it’s too early to release much of the trumped up evidence…they’ll keep the “juicier” crap to reveal closer to the election…wasn’t that their plan for 2016 but finding the Weiner laptop and reopening the Hillary investigation threw that timetable out the window.
They’re devious, but they rely on the same stupid plans over and over, so I expect we will find out what was in the testimonies closer to election time when they think they can use it to muck up POTUS’S reelection…the fools.

Deplorable Patriot

I’m telling you, the brains of the operation(s) just are no longer calling the shots.

ladypenquin

No, there isn’t any obstruction as there isn’t any official investigation. No doubt they’re planning on leaking out of context phrases and parsing of words.
I’d like to see the Executive Branch send in US Marshals to arrest these characters for sedition, treason, perjury, manufacturing evidence, taking monies under false pretenses – our taxpayer money is paying for these corrupt Congress critters to do this!

So, as a weird sort of PSA because I’m about to do a transcontinental voyage and need to armor-up the computers I’ll be using along the way, I’m going to just drop some ruminations regarding internet security in insecure environments.
If you go to Barnes & Noble with a laptop and use their free wi-fi, you are exposing yourself to a lot of mischief. (And I’m not dogging B&N here — any “free internet” may do this).
First is from Barnes & Noble itself. They will almost certainly log your MAC address, which is burned into your wireless interface. If they sell this information to, for instance, Nordstrom, Nordstrom will likely know that your device surfed the internet at B&N and was in a Nordstrom 10 minutes later. MAC addresses look like “bc:30:5b:cb:XX:c6” — the XX is to obscure this computer’s MAC address. The first three groups identify the manufacturer of your network interface — Raspberry Pi wired interfaces, for instance, all start with “b8:27:eb”. The good news is that most modern network interfaces have a burned-in MAC address, but their driver can allow the use of another. Myself, I like using MAC addresses that indicate DEC or Data General equipment, because it’s extremely unlikely that anyone else will wheel an operating VAX 11/780 into a B&N while you’re doing so.
Second is from DNS. When you connect to a network, your computer (via DHCP) asks, “how can I fit-in here?”. The reply is, “you can call yourself 192.168.5.127; when you want to connect to the internet, you can access it at 192.168.5.0; if you want to find anyone on the internet, you can ask at 8.8.8.8”. Here’s the thing — NEVER USE THE DNS GIVEN BY DHCP. [8.8.8.8 happens to be run by Google. They’ll spy on you but will give you actual DNS results.] The router that connects you can just as easily give you “6.6.6.6” which might just link to a cyberattack network that will give you bogus results. Even if they don’t send you somewhere malicious in that way, every router will give you an address that collects and logs your requests, and sells them — “this guy looks at ebay 42 times around 7:00pm every evening.”
Third is MITM — which stands for “Man In The Middle”. One of the more common attacks on internet security is to set up a MITM. You try to access a website, and evil website says “fine”, then contacts the website on your behalf and says, “hi!”. Good website responds with, “show all this good stuff” to evil website — evil website shows all the good stuff to user. User asks to log in — evil website asks good website to log in. Good website asks evil website, “what’s your login and password?” And so on. MITM can become very devastating very rapidly.
The solution to many of these issues is to use a VPN. Once a VPN is established, you have a secure encrypted channel to some other computer outside of your computer. Because this other computer has a different network interface, this blocks many MAC tracking schemes. Because you can use the VPN’s DNS, you won’t be retargeted to bogus DNS. And with a secure link to your VPN provider, local MITM becomes impossible.
*Yawn* More ruminations later……

OW21

Wow, CT! I wish I understood what you just posted, ’cause it seemed really good! I think I’ll just leave my computer at home if I go anywhere. Either that, or take you with me…..

cthulhu

Here’s the thing — ask me specific questions.
I’ll answer you, and you’ll gain better understanding…..and I’ll get better at explaining things so that questions are less necessary.
As a bonus, I’ll talk about YET ANOTHER SECURITY PROBLEM with public wi-fi. If you are at XYZ company, which provides wi-fi with a beacon saying “XYZ”, it is essentially trivial to perform a MITM attack on everyone sitting next to you. All it takes is someone using a directional antenna to point to the “real” XYZ signal, and a general antenna to offer wi-fi as XYZ. All computers attempting to connect with XYZ will choose the stronger signal, which — since you are literally feet away — will be you. You can escape your own trap with the directional antenna.

Deplorable Patriot

So, would we be better off using a personal hot spot? It kind of kills the idea of going to a coffee shop to work. The one I frequented for a while had a password, though.

cthulhu

If you use a personal hotspot, you’re shifting your trust from the wi-fi provider to your phone system. This can be an improvement in some ways — local wi-fi is likely to sell your info to other businesses……but a disimprovement in others — it is well-known that phone companies leak information to “law enforcement” and government in general in bulk.
I would advise the use of a commercial VPN provider — I use NordVPN, but there are many others. And I can’t really endorse them because I personally cannot do a security audit on them. But they tend to say the right things.
With a VPN, your stuff is encrypted on your computer and transmitted to the VPN provider, who decrypts it and uses it in the greater internet, thus cutting both the local wi-fi and phone systems out of the loop. Assuming that the VPN provider is providing fair value for the money you pay them (and isn’t that always a question?), you can then shift focus to other concerns.

cthulhu

…..and, as I noted, I’m “thinking out loud” as to how to stay safe on a 3600 mile trip across the US with those items most precious to me — the things my maternal grandfather made in wood shop in junior high; family photos; the binocs my paternal grandfather used on the mesas of western Colorado….
If I execute this perfectly, nobody here will notice more than I mention, my banking will work clearly and securely all along the way, and there will be no disruptions to my email. If I bungle something, I may have to deal with another identity theft problem (like I had in 2015) while I have no fixed abode. And my credit cards may stop working while I’m on the road.

We all start with nothing. If you but ask, I will try to explain from where you are to where I am. Be also aware that there are many who can explain further. One of the wonders of this era is that you are able to communicate with true experts.
Several years ago, I called-up Edward Altman. I was working for a CPA firm and we had a client that might…..or might not….be going bankrupt. Altman had published an influential academic paper on the subject — https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altman_Z-score — and I was attempting to document a “go / no-go” decision on that point.
I should first establish that Professor Altman was a perfect gentleman, very helpful, extremely informative, and just a super-nice guy…….but seemed genuinely horrified that his academic paper might have real-world consequences. Of course, it had been used that way in the accounting profession for several years, but I had the misfortune of evaluating a “corner-case” and contacted him about clarifications. I actually feel bad about the pain I must have caused him when I let him know that companies lived or died depending on his paper.
One of the things about living in Silicon Valley since the ’80s is that you have casual contacts with people.

cthulhu

I have sent an email to Dr. Altman to let him know this post existed, in case he might wish to read it and comment.
It’s unlikely that he would…….but he’s one of the “good guys” IMHO. If I’m going to say something about him, it’s only fair to let him know about it.

Gudthots

I have been pondering creating some posts about stuff like this. On a separate blog so it has a chance of staying up in the event that WQTH gets bounced.

michaelh

Thank you for a truly EPIC post 😉 Great minds – I like to use sun4u MACs myself! But a VAX is a true troll. And 4.2.2.2 FTW. Though I don’t trust “free WiFi” any further than I can throw it. VPN is a necessity if you use it. And you say you have a Pineapple – you mean like some kind of fruit?

cthulhu

Supposedly 1.1.1.1 won’t track your DNS requests, to which I say — pull the other one. When I get settled in NC, one project that I’m looking at is rotating DNS. First, you tell everything on your network to send DNS requests to one place — a raspberry pi works fine. You can have it cache, so if one computer in your network wants to get to the q tree, and another computer asks within five minutes, it’ll just give the same response. For “fresh” DNS queries, you have a list of DNS servers and send the actual DNS request to a randomly selected one. Then you send a half dozen bogus DNS requests to six of the others. Considering how many DNS requests can come off a single webpage, that should make fingerprinting through DNS pretty interesting…..
There are all sorts of MAC addresses available — as long as you don’t accidentally use something likely to still be in service (or have a graceful recovery plan when you tangle the network).
There are currently three models of Raspberry Pi that I strongly recommend — the Pi Zero WH ($14), the Pi 4 Model B – 1G ($35), and the Pi 4 Model B – 4G ($55). These are stocked at Adafruit in the US, distributed by Newark/Element 14 in the US, and stocked by PiMoroni in the UK (in pounds) — I have purchased from all three. With these three little beasties, putting together sophisticated networks is like playing with legos or Erector sets. You can do things like run two different “secure” networks in your home……and have a printserver that works off of both. I tend to use Ubuntu ‘Mate’ for that sort of thing rather than Raspbian.
Any Pi 4 can host a Kali image, for your pentesting pleasure — or just mapping the various wireless networks in use around your location. There’s a kit for coupling a pi with a Li-ion battery, so you can take your investigations on the road — it’s only a bit larger than a pack of cigarettes.

michaelh

Speaking of DNS have you played with this one yet?
https://pi-hole.net/

cthulhu

I have not……but I tend to run everyone on my network with pretty restrictive firewall rules and haven’t felt the need.

cthulhu

On a completely different tack……I used to have a great link to explain all the trappings of a Scottish kilt and how it’s meant to be worn……but such is the chaos in my household, I am currently unable to find it.
On a related front, when I visited Fiji, I could have gotten a custom-tailored full dress sulu, with jacket, for about $145. I wish I had (even though I wouldn’t fit into it now). It’s similar, without the dagger, stockings, sporran, pins, and footwear (comment image ).

After crawling around in the Ukraine yesterday, with people who reported from Ukraine, I’ve reached the conclusion that the USA overthrew a country.
After stints in Miami and South America, I’m unusually cynical when it comes to third world politics.
Feel like I was the naive kid who just got the wake up call.
Our officials were ruthless.
If it was a competition against China and Russia for strategic goals, I could have played along. The world is an ugly place…. I get it. Been there, done that. I’m no kid.
But that wasn’t it.
AFTER the Obama officials “won”, the Biden team made the situation worse, much worse. The myriad of Obama officials was worse still.
If we’re the good guys, the Americans, why didn’t our officials act honorably? It would have been so easy to do the right thing…., set Ukraine back on a prosperous path…… but time after time they had a choice and failed.
The USA owes Ukraine an apology. We should ship the Bidens and the Obama officials, all the Hillary clan, back to Ukraine for trial as nothing less than war criminals. What they did was awful. And without a doubt, they KNOW what they did. No more pleading ignorance. It’s sheer personal greed. No altruism whatsoever. No higher calling for duty to country or service at all.
Disgusted with the Obama admin.
The Ukrainian people have ever reason to loathe the USA and it’s a horrible waste of resources and good will.

Gibberish…that’s the language that comes to my mind…
FTA
inesh D’Souza called out Michelle Obama, calling her final thesis from Princeton University “illiterate and incoherent.”
His comments came after the former First Lady made an appearance in London as a stop on her book tour for her new memoir titled, “Becoming”.
Mrs. Obama was speaking with Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie when she made the claim, “I have been at probably every powerful table that you can think of.”
D’Souza posted on social media, “Anyone who has read Michelle’s college thesis – a document so illiterate and incoherent that it was written, as Christopher Hitchens put it, in “no known language” – will chuckle heartily at this one.
Below are a few excerpts from Michelle Obama’s college thesis:
As a result of this greater sense of comfort felt by respondents with groups with whom they have spent more time, more respondents will be interested in benefiting these particular groups in comparison to others. Thus, the variable measuring time spent with Blacks or Whites will also influence the dependent variable measured by the respondents’ motivation to benefit various social groups. (Robinson, 19)
As we have seen, the findings discussed in the previous paragraphs seem to support the hypothesis that respondents who were increasing the time spent with Blacks were becoming more attached to the Black community during the Pre-to-Prin period both in their individual interactions and in their political ideologies about Black and White relations on a community level. Respondents who were increasing time spent with Blacks were also becoming interested in positively contributing to the Black community. (Robinson, 42)
However, with the increasing integration of Blacks into the mainstream society, many “integrated Blacks” have lost touch with the Black culture in their attempts to become adjusted and comfortable in their new culture — the White culture. Some of these Blacks are no longer able to enjoy the qualities which make Black culture so unique or are unable to openly share their culture with other Blacks because they have become so far removed from these experiences and, in some instances, ashamed of them as a result of their integration. (Robinson, 54)
Seventy-one percent of the respondents reported being in careers that have made them upwardly mobile from their parents’ socio-economic class, while none of the respondents reported being downwardly mobile from their parents’ socioeconomic class , and only 17% of the respondents reported remaining even with their parents’ socio-economic class; 12% did not know yet how they were moving (see table 10).
With respect to belief in God, it appears that their general belief in some kind of God was relatively high. Sixty-two percent of the respondents said they definitely believe in God, while only 6% reported that they do not believe in God; 24% are uncomfortable with the word “God” but believe in a transcendent force; and 9% either do not know or are uncertain. Seventy-one percent of the respondents believe God influences their own lives, but only 43% of the respondents believe that God influences the way society is organized (Robinson, 35)
I think after reading through some of this mind-numbing nonsense, you can begin to understand D’Souza’s point.

Andrew Jackson’s Bank Veto Speech, last four paragraphs:
“It is to be regretted that the rich and powerful too often bend the acts of government to their selfish purposes. Distinctions in society will always exist under every just government. Equality of talents, of education, or of wealth can not be produced by human institutions. In the full enjoyment of the gifts of Heaven and the fruits of superior industry, economy, and virtue, every man is equally entitled to protection by law; but when the laws undertake to add to these natural and just advantages artificial distinctions, to grant titles, gratuities, and exclusive privileges, to make the rich richer and the potent more powerful, the humble members of society–the farmers, mechanics, and laborers–who have neither the time nor the means of securing like favors to themselves, have a right to complain of the injustice of their Government. There are no necessary evils in government. Its evils exist only in its abuses. If it would confine itself to equal protection, and, as Heaven does its rains, shower its favors alike on the high and the low, the rich and the poor, it would be an unqualified blessing. In the act before me there seems to be a wide and unnecessary departure from these just principles.
Nor is our Government to be maintained or our Union preserved by invasions of the rights and powers of the several States. In thus attempting to make our General Government strong we make it weak. Its true strength consists in leaving individuals and States as much as possible to themselves–in making itself felt, not in its power, but in its beneficence; not in its control, but in its protection; not in binding the States more closely to the center, but leaving each to move unobstructed in its proper orbit.
Experience should teach us wisdom. Most of the difficulties our Government now encounters and most of the dangers which impend over our Union have sprung from an abandonment of the legitimate objects of Government by our national legislation, and the adoption of such principles as are embodied in this act. Many of our rich men have not been content with equal protection and equal benefits, but have besought us to make them richer by act of Congress. By attempting to gratify their desires we have in the results of our legislation arrayed section against section, interest against interest, and man against man, in a fearful commotion which threatens to shake the foundations of our Union. It is time to pause in our career to review our principles, and if possible revive that devoted patriotism and spirit of compromise which distinguished the sages of the Revolution and the fathers of our Union. If we can not at once, in justice to interests vested under improvident legislation, make our Government what it ought to be, we can at least take a stand against all new grants of monopolies and exclusive privileges, against any prostitution of our Government to the advancement of the few at the expense of the many, and in favor of compromise and gradual reform in our code of laws and system of political economy.
I have now done my duty to my country. If sustained by my fellow-citizens, I shall be grateful and happy; if not, I shall find in the motives which impel me ample grounds for contentment and peace. In the difficulties which surround us and the dangers which threaten our institutions there is cause for neither dismay nor alarm. For relief and deliverance let us firmly rely on that kind Providence which I am sure watches with peculiar care over the destinies of our Republic, and on the intelligence and wisdom of our countrymen. Through His abundant goodness and their patriotic devotion our liberty and Union will be preserved.”
It should be noted that Andrew Jackson’s grave does not reference his two terms as President. It merely says,
“GENERAL
ANDREW JACKSON
Born March 15, 1767,
Died June 8, 1845”
If there was ever a more blatant FU toward the national government, it’d be hard to find.

Remember when Mad Maxine said:
“First we have to get him down in the polls, then we impeach!”
I think that’s what they are trying to do with this Fake Impeachment show.
It fits with CNN’s Jeff Zucker’s orders to stay on the impeachment story, pushing it every day.
They want to program people into thinking that it’s real…and that Pres Trump has done something wrong, something that warrants him being impeached.
They are desperate to get Pres Trump’s approval numbers down.
Even though they have their fake polls showing that his approval numbers are not very high…I think they know that’s not true…and the majority of people Like Pres Trump.
That’s why Nasty Nan is not going to bring it up for a vote.
She knows that an impeachment vote would fail.
So their media operatives are going to continue to Lie, Lie and Lie some more…to try to erode our President’s popularity.
😕😠🤬

ladypenquin

Yes, but Take Heart, after 3 yrs of nonstop hatred, and the drip, drip, drip of the Mueller Investigation, and dud Report – they DID NOT succeed in getting his numbers down. Anything they do now is actually cementing his support and bringing new folks in.
Re: Cementing his support – people who weren’t sure but voted for him anyway, and folks who might have voted GOP, but stayed home or voted “other” – those are votes I’m sure that are going to come in for POTUS in 2020. Those votes, and the newly awakened Democrats who are walking away.
The malignant media can lie 24/7, but the reality? The Democrats are NOT gaining one vote from what they’re doing. I believe that’s a good way to look at everything going down.

wheatietoo

Oh, I heartily agree, LadyP!
It will boomerang on them…because more and more people are seeing through the Dems’ lies and bullshit.
I hope I didn’t sound like an Eeyore…because I didn’t intend to be a downer.
Just offering up an explanation for why the Dems and their media operatives are doing these kamikaze suicide runs now.

ladypenquin

Oh, no. You didn’t. You’re right to point out what they’ve been trying to do… I was thinking about soemting crossing my reading yesterday – where one of the networks went into 2016 split districts (Michigan) – half went Hillary, and half Trump, and they did interviews. The folks can’t even put up signs anymore – but I blame the hatred Obama sowed in our political discourse for that happening – it used to be we could laugh and you could vote Dem, and I’d vote GOP, and nobody cared, because either candidate winning didn’t mean the end of our good lives here in America. Obama brought in the potential end.
Anyway, there was 1 voter who said she’d voted for POTUS in 2016, and wasn’t going to vote for him again because there has been “so much craziness” surrounding him. I told hubby it really bothered me how stupid some voters were! The Dems pushing chaos around POTUS 24/7 does get to the low-information voter. But I also believe that the #Walkaway voters will make up for people like that woman.
Heck, the Moody’s model has POTUS winning more “swing states. He even has Virginia in there!

ladypenquin

Wheatie, this just crossed my twitter feed, and is example of your valid concern. The only problem I see is that “We ain’t seen nothing yet!” The 2020 election season is going to be brutal – and I can’t stand it as we’ve already seen it. But soldier on we must. I’m hoping that AG Barr and his crew get busy and take the wind out of the sails on some of these characters.

NebraskaFilly

We put on OUR big girl panties long ago!
On a side note, my 10 year old granddaughter tells me the kids in her class speak negatively about our POTUS, so I gave her some basic ammo to fire back at them: lowest unemployment for blacks and hispanics in history, lowest overall unemployment in over 40 years; 2 SCOTUS judges & 100’s of Federal judges.

Well said. And it’s the only thing they have left.
Every time I start to feel down, I look at what is happening with President Trump’s rallies. Tens of thousands of people spending an entire day on their feet, much in the outside elements, for the chance to see and hear him for 90 mins. The demoncrats have NOTHING that comes close to that enthusiasm.
Then I remember the republican BLOWOUT that just occurred in Louisiana, (hard to do because the presstitutes BURIED the story), and hear Q in my head saying “you are watching a movie”.
I’m trusting the Plan because we’re starting to see the results play out.

The Shakers were a very interesting Protestant sect. Great music, and lifestyle. We still see their talents in furniture known as “Shaker Style” – too bad they didn’t believe in procreation, they died out once no one new joined their movement.

michaelh

Interesting is an understatement. Mother Ann’s teachings on procreation made a lot of sense to many people at that point and time in history. There was a strong attraction to its unusual procreative ethics in part as a counter to some of the cultural abuses at the time. However the Shakers were clearly problematic and unsustainable – I believe they serve as a warning from history about the dangers of tampering with God’s plan for marriage and the marrital union even with the best of intentions.

Connected to your post of Techno’s thread, this is worth reading from OT. Many are riffing off SD’s thorough article on what just happened. There are some insightful comments as well.
SD has good bullet points in the post – asking the right questions. Ms Powell is AWESOME and may almost single-handed bring down the entire corrupt Mueller Gestapo Thug Gang. Think: Weissmann et al.
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2019/10/15/wait-what-doj-has-possession-of-joseph-mifsud-cell-phones-blackberries/

phoenixrising37

Thanks Lady P., I don’t understand why Flynn didn’t have a decent defense to start with… why did he have that Leftist squad? The entire Special Counsel was handled by Weismann, imho… who should have been disbarred long ago. Lots of citizen journalists have taken the entire Mueller ‘thang’ apart, including Sundance… Thanks for the heads up on SD’s post. Agree with all your points.

ladypenquin

PR, I don’t know why Flynn didn’t have good defense either. Was he snookered? Did he always know he’d have to get rid of them? It’s one of the puzzle pieces not yet in place. But I’m delighted with Ms. Powell, who I believe will be one of the names history remembers for helping take down the Deep State. Schumer’s words have haunted us for some time, “Intel officials ‘have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.” Those words reveal a powerful entity – greater than POTUS, Congress, and even the Judiciary. The three branches of government who are supposed to govern this country. It looks like the Intelligence people have been running Ops for decades… we know they’ve destabilized or overthrown foreign country governments, but they’ve been active here too.

Deplorable Patriot

It’s part of the plan/game. They wanted to keep the lawsuit alive for some reason.

I remember one time……mind you, this is one time in 50+ years…..one time, I was in a market, and the couple (with kids) ahead of me in line was checking out. They had sacks of rice, dried beans, flour, and corn meal. An economy-sized bottle of vegetable oil. Gallons of milk. Blocks of cheese. Whole chickens. Bell peppers and onions.
NOTHING with a brand name, no frivolities, no sweets or cartoon characters…..they were set up for arroz con pollo, frijoles, making their own tortillas, chicken burritos…..and they paid for it all with food stamps. Their family was going to survive and thrive THROUGH THEIR OWN INDUSTRY from raw materials provided from our nation’s bounty. I had never before and have never since been so proud of our food stamp system……because it’s normally used to purchase massively processed branded junk.

Katie

That was last week and we’re already back in the 70’s.
The sad part is trees, bushes, and critters don’t adapt well to a 70 degree drop in a day, so we’re already seeing the damage to pine trees, perennials, etc.

Mitch was mighty slow getting the nominees for ambassadorships confirmed… or am I not recalling correctly? This witch was still serving in March … still undermining POTUS and our Republic

Deplorable Patriot

TBH, the judge confirmations are/were more important than ambassadors.

phoenixrising37

That’s true, but he could have done both (some folks can walk and chew bubble gum at the same time). I have followed his judicial confirmations, and he has done well, BUT he was slow out of the gate with those, and there were periods in the last 18 months esp. during crisis at the border, that he tried using those apptms as leverage against POTUS. Alzheimers may be moving in on me, but I haven’t forgotten those times. And while I’m ranting, Mitch uses “voice vote” when he chooses, and a number of ambassadors could have been confirmed in that manner. Just my 2 cents. Mitch looks out for Mitch, not so much the Country.

Deplorable Patriot

Don’t forget, Q told us that the majority in the Senate before the midterms was on paper. In reality, they had to get Flake and one other person out before having control. Once the judiciary is packed, they can really start moving in the second term.

patfrederick

yes, he’s up for reelection? using the reelect me and I will make SURE impeachment goes no where in the Senate…

Heh, was gonna point out this below, before I listened to DPs clip which was one of the original ads…oh,well 😉 still interesting for those that didnt know I suppose.
A little worthless trivia on those “Real men of Genius” ads…They originally aired starting in 1998 with a different slogan/catch phrase….”Real American Heroes”.
After 9/11 they changed it to Real Men of Genius”. Fairly obvious why they changed it given the heroic nature of police, fire and emergency workers on that day, making light of the term Hero would of been poor marketing indeed.

Dora

I’ve noticed that he is no longer referred to as Pope Francis. Now he is just Beroglio.
======
During the pagan ritual the shamans gave Bergoglio: the goddess of fertility Pachamama, a marxist black ring ‘the tucum ring’ and an amulet necklace.

Deplorable Patriot

Depends on who is reporting. The ones who claim we need to respect the office will still call him “pope”. I can respect the office just fine. Pope Benedict XVI, apparently, is still the real office holder.

This is worth a read, from OT article of last night. It’s going to be a hot topic today. Did I mention that Sidney Powell is one of my favorite people – a heroine for us women! She might be the one to take down Mueller and his Gestapo Gang. Might even take out the CIA/FBI at the same time.
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2019/10/15/wait-what-doj-has-possession-of-joseph-mifsud-cell-phones-blackberries/
Astute comments in the post, but this one is good from Italy.
cheekymeeky says:
October 16, 2019 at 7:22 am
There are a couple of reporters in Italy doing a decent job in covering this story.
“Lawyer Powell had already asked in September “any information, including records or 302s , about the presence and involvement of Joseph Mifsud in involving or reporting the presence of Mr. Flynn and Mifsud himself at the Russia Today dinner held in Moscow on 17 December 2015 ″. This is the dinner for the ten years of the magazine, during which Flynn met Russian President Putin. The photograph portraying them at the same table was fundamental to argue that the former general was a Russian agent and, therefore, to feed the narrative of the collusion between the Trump Campaign and Russia.
But what are the documents called 302 ? These are reports in which FBI agents summarize the content of the talks they had with their informants and “non-primary agents”. Which would mean, if there were 302 reports with Mifsud of that dinner, that the FBI had questioned the Maltese professor of Link Campus since at least 2015 and, therefore, he already knew exactly then who he was, even before he met in Rome then advisor of the Trump Campaign George Papadopoulos (March 2016). From the request of the lawyer Powell we learn that Mifsud would also have been present at that dinner and, therefore, his role in the Russiagate would be backdated to December 2015 compared to the first meeting with Papadopoulos.
The two phones used by Mifsud could contain evidence that exonerates Flynn, according to his lawyer, demonstrating that it was framed, or in any case “material relevant to the defense, with particular regard to the OCONUS lures ( Outside Contiguous US lures , ed) and to the agents that Western intelligence used against him probably as early as 2014 to organize – unbeknownst to him – ‘connections’ with some Russians they would later use against him in their false accusations. Telephones that were used by Mr. Joseph Mifsud, “Lawyer Powell writes in the petition presented Tuesday.
“If we determine that they contain information that is detectable or that is relevant to the conviction, we will provide it to you,” the Justice Department responded.
The existence of 302 of talks with Mifsud and two of his telephones in the hands of the Department of Justice are important for the defense of Flynn because they show that the information of the Maltese professor ended up at the FBI, at the DOJ, while they claimed he was an agent Russian. Former FBI director James Comey called Mifsud a “Russian agent”, while in his report the special prosecutor Mueller merely presented him as a person with Russian ties and contacts. If during the whole Russiagate investigation these elements were not shown, then, it was because we wanted to avoid that it turned out that it was, instead, a “provocative agent” and that these “agents” had been employed against Flynn already in 2014.”
https://www.atlanticoquotidiano.it/rubriche/speciale-italygate-10-il-dipartimento-di-giustizia-usa-ha-due-telefoni-di-mifsud-e-la-difesa-del-generale-flynn-chiede-di-averli/

excerpt from one of Brian Cate’s THREADS (you can find same FACTS in THREADS of numerous researchers (Dr. Quigley, Jeff writing in Epoch News, etc.)
“… Mike Gaeta = Professor Joseph Mifsud’s FBI handler in Rome.
Where Mifsud’s been hiding out for 2 years ever since his name went public.
Despite some people like CNN’s .@AshaRangappa_ desperately clinging to the hoax narrative that Maltese Mifsud is some kinda Russian agent, he was actually working for the FBI when he sought to entrap Trump campaign adviser .@GeorgePapa19.
CNN should fire her and hire me. 😏
Mifsud had an official FBI handler and everything.
So when Horowitz’s report goes public, the Gaeta and Pientka sections are going to make some very fascinating reading.”

https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1121517347494297601.html
Anytime you read Mifsud is a Russian agent, it’s a blankety blank LIE… Mifsud was a US agent, who also worked with the UK.

Mmm…I think this is a long time in the making.
Among the pantheon of my grandparents’ siblings and their spouses, there was one aunt and her husband who stand out as being part of a movement that slowly took root. I don’t know when or how they met and married, but those two were athiests, members of the Hemlock Society, and bookworms. Both were smart in the business sense, but moral grounding beyond love for family…not really there as I understand it. They did not have children, and were not big on sacrifice. Religion was a opiate for the masses and all that.
And these people came of age before WWII.
All of this was underground in a societal sense for at least 100 years now. It infected intellectuals, mostly, who were willing to be flexible with morals. And they read. A lot. I mean a lot. Material that is now considered “great literature” produced specifically to foster social change.
Yes, these people are out of the mainstream. But, they’ve been led to believe this stuff by the echo chamber that created it for the use of the people higher up on the totem poles of life.

I may have to get one of these to put in my garage!
Why the garage?
Well, political signs are forbidden by the HOA in my neighborhood, so I have my Trump yard sign in my garage standing casually in the potting soil container and my Women for Trump signs are stapled on the back wall of the garage, and of course, my Trump Pence Bumper Sticker on my minivan. The garage is closed most of the time, except when I’m working in the yard. A life size Donald Trump would be the icing on the cake!!!
US Flags are permitted – so I put out a US flag on sunny days and lots of flags on Memorial Day, 4th of July, D Day, etc. – and Election Day!

I realize the size of nypd is massive, but it seems the number of suicides is excessive.
“An off-duty NYPD sergeant shot and killed himself inside his Queens home on Tuesday, the 10th NYPD officer to take his own life this year, law enforcement sources said.
The 33-year-old victim, identified by sources as Officer Linhong Li, shot himself in the head in the house he shared with his wife near Union Turnpike and 178th Street in Utopia, the sources said.
His wife found him in a pool of blood when she walked into the house at about 8 p.m., according to police sources.
Li, a probationary officer, joined the NYPD in 2012 where he was assigned to the 24th precinct on the Upper West Side. Prior to completing the academy, Li was a member of the NYPD Cadet Corps.
Before his time with the NYPD, Li served in the U.S. Marine Corps, including a tour in Iraq.
The sergeant’s self-inflicted death is the latest in a number of NYPD suicides in 2019.”

Well, well, well, Dems have taken the position the President was withholding arms from Ukraine, the Javelin Missiles, until Zelinsky promised to investigate Biden.
What if I told you zealot DC insiders have been pushing the sale of Javelin missiles to Ukraine — SINCE 2015.
Withholding the same missile system for almost 5yrs? It’s true. The Ukrainians have wanted the Javelin anti-tank missiles since 2015. Look here, report from the Atlantic Council, page 16/17, right hand side of the page. It’s there in black and white. And American weapons manufacturers want to sell it to Ukraine, or give it to Ukraine using US taxpayer dollars!
And the Atlantic Council is sponsored by Raytheon and Lockheed…… who make the Javelin Missiles. Imagine that!

pgroup

Oh my – it’s Brookings again. A veritable Fountain of Truth.
Not.

Deplorable Patriot

Robert Brookings would be so proud. If there was anyone who knew how to grovel, he could.
Robert Brookings…lived on Lindell…Dwight Davis…put together the rudiments of the military industrial complex…hmm…I wonder who has Brookings’s archival papers. They’ve gotta be here somewhere.

Deplorable Patriot

Found them. http://archon.wulib.wustl.edu/index.php?p=collections/findingaid&id=454&q=
Do I have time to go read through them. Hmm.

Deplorable Patriot

Only one cubic foot, I should be able to, BUT here’s something interesting from the catalog entry:
Robert S. Brookings (1850 -1932) was born and acquired his early education in Cecil County, Maryland, before moving to St. Louis, Missouri, to begin his career at age 17. He began as a clerk and later salesman for Cupples & Marston., manufacturers and distributors of woodenware. In less than four years he became a partner in the firm at age twenty-one.
He achieved remarkable success in business at an early age, and began to reach out for a broader perspective by acquiring education and European culture. He read deeply under the direction of Dean Snow of Washington College in St. Louis and traveled extensively in Europe.
As a civic leader and philanthropist, Brookings turned his creative energy to building Washington University and other St. Louis institutions until, with the coming of World War I, he moved to Washington and onto the world stage. He served on the new War Industries Board as commissioner of Finished Products and Chairman of the Price Fixing Committee. In this role he became the link between the government and hundreds of industries. He achieved remarkable results under very difficult circumstances, and for his war service he was recognized with the U.S. Distinguished Service Medal, the French Legion of Honor, and Italy’s Commander of the Crown.
His work within the government during the war showed him the need for improved economic research and a trained corps of civil servants. He established a graduate school as a part of Washington University and two institutes to address these problems. Finally, Brookings’ dream of an independent research institution devoted to solving problems of government and the economy became a reality with the merger in 1927 of the Robert Brookings Graduate School, the Institute of Economics, and the original Institute for Government Research established in 1916.

Katie

“ Chairman of the Price Fixing Committee. ” Spit!!

Deplorable Patriot

ooh, through this, though, I think I found one of the keys to it all. Again, a rich guy trying to control things and make money. Not Brookings, but someone who was on the War Industries Board with him.

daughnworks247

I came so close to going to work for Brookings.
One of those career path choices…..
Wow.

One could say that it’s a shame you didn’t since then we would have an inside source for DIRT. 🙂

There’s that military industrial complex thing again.

This is definitely going on the timeline!

prognosticatasaurusrex

HMMMMM. Who was one of the FIRST organizations Trump went after to “pay their full share” NATO. Trump made it a priority to call out ALL the members. Do you think he knew THEN what was going on? My bet, he did. AS for Chalupa. April 16th 2016, goes along with ALL I have surmised and written. Manafort was ALSO a timeline problem. I wrote that he was setup in March 2016 by Yovanovich getting and releasing the Black Ledger to the US MSM. Now it appears Chalupa was running off all that to Ukrainian MSM just a few days later.
There is NO WAY that is coincidental. There is also NO WAY that that kind of coordination happened in a vacuum or QUICKLY. This ALL was planned and laid out WELL before 2016. Trump first approached Manafort in Feb 2016, and Manafort came on in March 2016…then we got the Black Ledger. Sounds like, just as they used a two pronged attack on Trump with Yovanovich working the Ukraine side , and Chalupa worked the US side, they did the SAME with Manafort. NO WAY that is accidental, just days apart.
Manafort had only been on the job DAYS. Do you know what this really tells me? There WAS indeed surveillance and or a MOLE in the early Trump campaign. They knew Manafort was coming on board in March, but ONLY Trump and his inner circle KNEW that Trump was talking to Manafort in FEB…unless he was BUGGED. MY point, if the MSM in BOTH the Ukraine and the US were being briefed by Cabal members in MARCH and APRIL about Manafort, they had to know Manafort was coming on board BEFORE that, and ONLY Trump and his inner circle would have known that. It took TIME to prep the setups, to “formulate” the Black Ledger, and TIME to coordinate and disseminate the info. This did NOT happen in hours or even DAYS.
What I am saying is this is CONFIRMATION that Trump WAS surveilled BEFORE July 31 2016. This was BEFORE Papadopolous in April and May 2016, and BEFORE Don jr on June 9 2016. It was WAY before Crossfire in July, and light years before Page the plant in October 2016.
This is an “inadvertent” smoking gun! Damned if it didn’t confirm all my suspicions.

phoenixrising37

Some have speculated that zero was spying on POTUS at least beginning when Donald Trump raised the issue of zero’s birth certificate… and then there’s Maxine’s loose tongue saying in (iirc) 2012, that “Obama has the biggest database anyone has ever seen.” What do you think about that date?

prognosticatasaurusrex

I wrote in my book that all the spying likely started in 2011, as a result and countermeasure to Obama getting historically shellacked in the 201 midterms, ALL the IRS stuff started in 2011. SO I would bet folding money that Obama began this prior to that and used it to attack his “enemies” like the TEA party.

phoenixrising37

Lots of folks would agree with you, including me!

scott467

“Some have speculated that zero was spying on POTUS at least beginning when Donald Trump raised the issue of zero’s birth certificate… ”
________________
Even more, some have speculated that provoking Hussein’s ire was DJT’s whole purpose for pursuing the Birth Certificate issue.
He WANTED to goad Hussein into coming after him, apparently to set all of this in motion, and if that is true, then DJT has been planning for becoming president at least as far back as his involvement with the birth certificate issue.
Much longer I’m sure, but that would be a very specific marker in time.

Some input from Ristvan re: Pelosi’s impeachmentgamble:
ristvan says:
October 15, 2019 at 5:36 pm
I was just going to comment on this newish development. Today’s bogus ‘letter subpoena’ due date was for Giuiliani and Pence. Friday is for Mulvaney.
Leading with Giuliani is clever. He is not formally part of the administration, so ‘obstruction’ isn’t directly applicable even though he has said several times on talk shows he has much relevant Ukraine stuff. Neither Pence nor Mulvaney arguably have anything much of relevance to this phone call, so just turn over a little garbage.
So that lets Giuliani today dare the Dems to go to court to enforce an illegitimate ‘subpoena’ as Sundance and I have previously explained several times. He as much as said so (paraphrasing his announcement): ‘We’ll see what happens if they try enforcement.’ If Schiff takes Rudy’s dare, Rudy’s response filing can simple be some CTH excerpts, dressed up with a few of the underlying SCOTUS rulings..

ristvan says:
October 15, 2019 at 5:53 pm
This brief Sale response is tactically brilliant. A goad to Schiff.
AND, still does not expose the hidden in plain sight ‘BIG GUN’ to TDS Dems— that the supposed Schiff subpoenas are illegitimate, null, and void based on many longstanding SCOTUS legislative subpoena power precedents.
ristvan says:
October 15, 2019 at 11:50 pm
There is a more sophisticated discussion over near the end of todays Presidential thread, after a posting of Giuliani’s lawyer Sale short defiant response letter,
That defiant “ ‘pound sand’ to your ‘subpoena letter’” response is legally brilliant on several separate grounds.
— cites last Tuesday’s Cippolone letter as a justification
—cites attorney/client privilege
—omits mention of the still hidden ‘nuke’ that the House under present long established SCOTUS circumstances has no legitimate subpoena powers.
Is a further baiting of Schiff and co into a court subpoena enforcement process they cannot in the end win.

scott467

“I was just going to comment on this newish development. Today’s bogus ‘letter subpoena’ due date was for Giuiliani and Pence. Friday is for Mulvaney.”
________________
We need a new name for them, like ‘sub-wisha’ instead of subpoena, something that indicates the issuer has NO power to compel testimony, but the issuer wishes really hard that you would help him to incriminate yourself.

Aubergine

The term subpoena is from the Middle English suppena and the Latin phrase sub poena meaning “under penalty”.
In Latin “no penalty” is nec poena. “Without penalty” is sine poena.
Without testicles is sine testibus.

A legal Hail Mary. There will be a huge news media blitz in the coming week with already prepared talking points from key Democrats to push for a 2nd special counsel. That will, if permitted, eventually render a legal opinion of high crimes and misdemeanors was committed by President Trump. This is a last ditch re-maneuver to handicap AG Bar and road block going investigations. The Speaker of the House doesn’t have the votes currently for impeachment as she needs more time. This will be what Mueller failed to do. Several high ranking government employees who are sleepers are prepped for activation to undermine the President in a very very very public way.

We should be able to figure out who at least a couple of the most likely ‘sleepers’ are.

prognosticatasaurusrex

One problem inherent with this dem “logic” ANY Special Counsel would be under the auspices of the DOJ AND AG Barr. NO WAY is Barr going to recuse. If they had hoped this crap was going to work, they should have went in this direction FIRST. Now, Barr and Durham have uncovered ILLEGAL activities in the FIRST coup attempt, likely INCLUDING the appointment of Mueller. There is NO WAY in HELL that they will get a 2nd, and IF they try, they will be EXPOSED. I think Trump and or Barr would LOVE for them to try that shit, as then the hammer can drop, expose ALL their roles in the first, 2nd, and this would be a THIRD attempt.
Then Trump’s ONLY remedy would be to remove them ALL for treason by declaring Marshall law, and sending in the Marines. NO ONE would be able to stop or defend against it, especially when Barr, Durham, and others go on NATIONAL TV exposing the coups, and justify the action by RIGHTLY removing the THIRD attempt, exposing it as the cover up that it IS.
The ONLY thing worse than an illegitimate Impeachment is a SECOND illegitimate special Counsel. WAY past mere sedition then, into full on REPEATED coup attempts. They would ALL be RIGHTLY arrested, indicted, tried, and EXECUTED for treason. PLEASE try this crap. That would be CHECKMATE at their OWN hands,

OUR OMNIPOTENT AND PERFECT JUDGE
Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

obeying our worthy god awesome psalms
In Psalm 139 we see that our God is omnipotent, able to create life itself. “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:13-14). How amazing is our God who designed everything from the tiniest cell in our bodies to the grandest star in the universe!comment image
David concludes his psalm by acknowledging God’s perfect judgment. God loves His children enough to purify and refine their hearts. “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalm 139:23-24).
Have you lost your wonder and awe of God? Do you take the intricacies of His creation for granted? Do you gloss over His words when reading the Bible? Stop today and praise God for His amazing nature.
Prayer: God, it is so amazing to think of all that You have created! Thank You for being our Creator God as well as our perfect judge. Help me to never lose my awe and wonder of You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
“Who among the gods is like you, Lord? Who is like you—majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?” (Exodus 15:11).

20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Glory to God
24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,

I hope this is my last post about this with apologies again about its length and heartfelt thanks for the encouragement given to me after you all endured the last one. ❤️
In my state there have been a number of situations I have become aware of over the past few years of young adult children cutting off contact with their parents and limiting conversational topics and interactions with them if contact is re-established or maintained.
This usually follows their immersion in higher education and a questioning of their (and their parents’) faith.
This has impacted my own family and and I ask for prayers from my brothers and sisters in Christ along with thanksgiving and honor given to God for answered prayer and miracles that He has already done in bringing us through this.
I confess that In past readings of Q or even of Wolf’s posts on MK mind control I haven’t paid close enough attention to the references to the unholy aspects of it all, believing that the occult allegiances of those implementing these things were only relegated to a small group.
Looking into Luciferianism has changed all of that. I see the ideas of this belief system everywhere in our society and I am appalled at the extent to which they have been allowed to influence our children through our schools, psychiatric treatment, media, and even some of our churches,
I am convinced that President Trump, through the laying on of hands and the humble and true yielding of his heart to the Lordship of Jesus, has been anointed by God to lead this country away from this great evil and it’s destructive influences.
Impressing the truth of this on our brothers and sisters in Christ, no matter their race or cultural background, by letting them know clearly what agenda they will serve by aligning with or supporting the left, is of the utmost importance.
I have always thought that Q was the concept of a brilliant mind and meant to encourage and inform us, help equip us to look into things and think for ourselves, and bypass the fake news. The fact that Q took the time to tell us about the occult influence on and of the elites is significant.
I remember …..Melania addressed the people and prayed the Lord’s prayer right after the President first held office.
So here is some of what I have been reading and I encourage those who are called to do so to look into the enormity of how these evil beliefs have impacted our society and the globe.
We can pray, inform and warn our church leadership, and lift our voices to stand against these evil influences on our children, our families, our faith, our health, and our freedoms.
Below are quotes from Dr, Chisholm, “….. well-known psychiatrist, first Director-General of the World Health Organization, and the 13th officer to serve as the head of the Canadian Army medical service.” (Wikipedia)
He also helped found the WFMH as it is today…originally known as the ICMH, Dr Chisholm, “envisaged the WFMH as an international, nongovernmental body to provide a link to ‘grassroots’ mental health organizations and United Nations agencies.” From: https://wfmh.global/about-us/history/

“To achieve world government, it is necessary to remove from the minds of men their individualism, loyalty to family tradition, national patriotism, and religious dogmas.” —George Brock Chisholm, in a Speech given at the, Conference on Education, Asilomar, California, September 11, 1954
Another quote from Dr. Chisholm embedded in the article cited above……
“We have been very slow to rediscover this truth and to recognize the unnecessary and artificially imposed inferiority, guilt and fear, commonly known as sin… which produces so much of the social maladjustment and unhappiness in the world. For many generations we have bowed our necks to the yoke of the conviction of sin. We have swallowed all manner of poisonous certainties fed us by our parents, our Sunday and day school teachers, our politicians, our priests…
“Thou shalt become as gods, knowing good and evil,” good and evil, with which to keep children under control, with which to prevent free thinking, with which to impose local and familial and national loyalties and with which to blind children to their glorious intellectual heritage.
Misguided by authoritarian dogma, bound by exclusive faith, stunted by inculcated loyalty, torn by frantic heresy… and loaded down by the weight of guilt and fear engendered by its own original promises, the unfortunate human race, deprived… of its reasoning power and its natural capacity to enjoy the satisfaction of its natural urges, struggles along under its ghastly self-imposed burden. The results, the inevitable results, are frustration, inferiority, neurosis and inability to enjoy living, to reason clearly or to make a world fit to live in.
Man’s freedom to observe and to think freely… has been destroyed or crippled by local certainties… moralities… personal salvation… frequently masquerading as love.”

If it cannot be done gently, it may have to be done roughly or even violently.” (“The Re-Establishment of Peacetime Society,” Feb. 1946, Brock Chisholm, first head of the World Health Organization)
And more from theJesus is Precious link cited above…
The “new leaders” in the psychiatric field propose to re-educate the world’s population using psychological procedures to create a new breed of amoral men who will accept a one-world socialistic government. They hold the weapon of commitment to a mental institution over the heads of those “reactionaries” who rebel at accepting the “new social order.”
It sounds unbelievable? Listen to the words of Dr. G. Brock Chisholm, first head of the World Federation of Mental Health, and later head of the World Health Organization of the United Nations. His address, sponsored by the William Alanson White Psychiatric Foundation was delivered in October 1945 in Washington D.C. to a large group of psychiatrists and high government officials. Dr. George Brock Chisholm said:
What basic psychological distortion can be found in every civilization of which we know anything? The only psychological force capable of producing these perversions is morality—the concept of right and wrong. The re-interpretation and eventual eradication of the concept of right and wrong are the belated objectives of nearly all psychotherapy. If the race is to be freed from its crippling burden of good and evil it must be psychiatrists who take the original responsibility.
In the following quote, Mr. Chisholm readily admits that the true agenda of nearly all psychiatry (besides pushing prescription drugs for big pharmaceutical companies) is to totally eliminate ideas of right and wrong in society, and to substitute intelligent and rational thinking (worldly philosophies) in place of faith in God in older adults…
The re-interpretation and eventually eradication of the concept of right and wrong which has been the basis of child training, the substitution of intelligent and rational thinking for faith in the certainties of the old people, these are the belated objectives of practically all effective psychotherapy.

You are speaking of relativists, who love to use phrases like “one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter” (exactly the kind of argument used to defend leftist murderers like Che Guevara and groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and yes….Antifa).
The truly sad thing is that all you worry about is foretold in the book of Revelation, and we know that they will eventually succeed.
The good news is we know who wins in the end, and what ultimately happens.
I thank God none of us will remember any of it when all is said and done.

While Obama was President I felt that we were careening toward the end of days and despaired because i saw many who professed to be Christian cooperating if not agreeing with his agenda.
When Donald Trump came down the escalator and said what he said, I became electrified with hope and thanksgiving and have never been the same.
I see the President as a gift (like Jonah) from a loving God, unwilling to see people perish for all eternity without giving them a window of opportunity in which to choose a different path.

I knew the minute I heard him start mentioning God, and especially when he brought up the unborn. That was a man whose heart the Lord had touched. It puts so many of the other DC dwells to shame – they basically spit on God every day when they separate Him from the People.

Dear Andy,
Pursuit of the personal acquisition of wealth can sometimes blind a person to the realities of Christ’s mission of deliverance, reconciliation, healing, forgiveness, restoration, wisdom, and life for those willing to accept Him as Lord.
God’s mighty deliverance and r demotion of us through Christ, this great wonder, is the “pearl of great price”—true wealth I pray you will acquire along with forgiveness for those of us who have failed you.
We are “earthen vessels” of a Perfect Gift.
From 2 Corinthians chapter 4:
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” [1] made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
7
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;

persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

“and to substitute intelligent and rational thinking (worldly philosophies) in place of faith in God in older adults…”
_________________
From several of the quotes, Mr. Chisholm seems to talk on this specific subject as if ‘intelligent and rational thinking’ and ‘faith in God’ are mutually exclusive, which is about as false of a premise as there could be.
I will certainly admit that many doctrines, commandments and dogmas of MEN have the literal effect of rejecting rational thinking and logic for the doctrines of MEN, and it is mind-numbingly frustrating to encounter, like beating your head against a brick wall.
But true Christian belief and faith — according to God’s Word, not the doctrines, commandments and traditions of men — requires ‘intelligent and rational thinking’.
It is a vicious deception, perpetrated by secular Leftists, that it could be otherwise.
The belief of a Christian is not to be ‘blind faith’, but based on reason, logic and evidence.
God is a God of reason, and the Scriptures teach that we ought to reason, logically. Even from the Scriptures themselves:
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18, KJV, boldface emphasis mine)
“Now therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the LORD of all the righteous acts of the LORD, which he did to you and to your fathers.” (1 Samuel 12:7, boldface emphasis mine)
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” (1 Peter 3:15, boldface emphasis mine)
“And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.” (Luke 24:15, boldface emphasis mine)
“And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,” (Acts 17:2, boldface emphasis mine)
“And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.” (Acts 18:4, boldface emphasis mine)
“And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.” (Acts 18:19, boldface emphasis mine)
And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.” (Acts 24:25, boldface emphasis mine)
“For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.” (Acts 18:28, boldface emphasis mine)
.
Our faith is not to be blind, but based on reason, logic and truth.
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.” (John 4:23)
Truth matters.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” (Hosea 4:6)
“For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.” (Romans 10:2)

Me too…. that certainly doesn’t describe the Secret Service protection during the Hussein administration.
The booze & hooker routine during overseas trips (and other ridiculous lapses of judgement and behavior) is something they will never live down, and Hussein either fostered it or allowed it go uncorrected.
That corruption was allowed to fester, and knowing Hussein, he probably encouraged it. He certainly created and then tolerated an environment that made it possible.
As a result, for as long as anyone is alive or remembers, no matter what the Secret Service does going forward, there is always the asterisk, there is always that stain on the agency, another great legacy of the interloper Hussein.

ForGodandCountry

Duchess,
I would bet a 2nd mortgage that you already know this, but for others who may not…
Sept & Oct. are the very best time of year to visit Yellowstone Park. Here is why:
1) summer crowds are gone and the park is virtually empty by comparison (ie. very little traffic and noise). Yellowstone has two-way roads, one lane per side….a nightmare in the summer when someone sees some animal and stops, creating a miles long traffic jam
2) perfect temps….70’s during the days, and nights that call for a good fire
3) winter is coming and all the animals know it. This is the most active time of year for wildlife movement and the best time for spotting wildlife making last minute preparations for the long, cold, high mountain winters
4) Fall colors and foliage. The cottonwoods and Aspens turn to red and gold giving a marked contrast to the pines (Duchess’ pics speak for themselves)
5) one of the amazing features of the park…the geothermal steam vents…are made invisible by the high summer temps. Not so at this time of year, where you can look across a glade or valley and see dozens of them, further enhancing the visual grandeur of the setting with the aforementioned foliage colorscomment image
Combine all these things together and you get a simply MAGICAL time to visit one of planet Earth’s (not just America’s) most unique and rare wilderness environments.
Pro TIP: the very best place for viewing wildlife in Yellowstone is the Lamar Valley in the early mornings and late afternoons. Don’t expect to see anything other than bison driving through the park at speed. If you want to see wildlife, you gotta pay the price of admission….sit and be patient (up to 1 hr or more). If you pay the price, you WILL be rewarded.
Pro tip #2: want to see bears and wolves? Spend the night in Cooke City just outside the Northeast entrance to the park. Wake up before sunrise and drop by Bearclaw Bakery. Get a large box of an assortment of AM goodies and a large thermos of their great coffee. Then head into the Lamar Valley. What you are looking for are these people….
http://www.lovethesepics.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/The-Badgerazzi-photographers-the-other-mammals-of-Yellowstone.jpg
Here’s why.
These people live close to the park. Their passion is wildlife photography. See all that equipment? That’s (literally) hundreds of thousands of $$s worth of gear. See those long lenses? They can take close-up pics of animals who are more than a mile away. And THESE people know where and when to look for the the best, most exciting wildlife in the park. Many are personal friends with the park rangers, and most of them have radios set to the rangers radio frequencies, so when a bear is feeding on an elk carcass left by a Wolf pack, these people know about it.
Normally, these people are standoff-ish to strangers. They are a tight knit group and they all know one another, BUT…
Approached with some humility, friendliness and “can I offer you something from Bearclaw Bakery and some coffee?” (a favorite among locals), you can befriend them and become part of their group for the morning.
Here’s what you will get…
Invitations to look through their tens of thousands of $$s telephoto gear to see the wildlife up close and in detail. They gang together like this because many eyes cover far more ground prior to something of interest being spotted (and the Lamar is MASSIVE). And they know HOW and WHERE to spot the wildlife.
Last time we did this we saw…in one (1) morning….grizzlies, wolves, bald eagles, elk, another grizzly bear chasing a lame elk cow (they went out of sight so don’t know how this turned out), foxes playing around their den, bison (always see bison everywhere), a giant mule deer buck with a trophy set of antlers (would make Boon & Crocket Book with ease) along with his does, coyotes hunting rabbits, a porcupine, and a giant bull moose.
Btw…
It took me many years to figure all of this out on my own. So keep this to yourselves and, if you ever benefit from this knowledge, send me some good karma.
Enjoy the the wonders!

Deplorable Patriot

And, please, if you’re walking up the steps from the lower falls, whatever you do, don’t look down at the rocks. Still have vertigo issues.

We got lucky and it was an Indian summer…warm summer days and cold nights, the high elevations just beginning to get dusted with snow. The wife was skeptical (she wanted to go to the South Pacific) but I convinced her otherwise.
How did it turn out?
Here is the picture hanging over the mantle in our living room…that’s the Snake river with the Tetons in the background. Taken at 5:03 PM that afternoon after an outdoor ceremony. Despite the time that has passed my wife still tears up when we talk about it.

Thanks to a comment or two or three from Daughn, a few details started to come together for me on a key question when it comes to all of this: if we’re following the money, to what end are all of these surface battles, i.e., Ukraine, profitable and to whom. It has to be part of a larger whole that seeks to keep the war machine rumbling even with no real conflict worth a shooting war.
Well…first Daughn dug into the Atlantic Council which turns out to be the think tank for NATO, which is code words for the influence in Washington that lobbyists can’t buy. Yes, there are plenty of lobbyists for NATO, but with the Atlantic Council’s papers in hand, the lobbying is that much more effective.
Then there was something this morning mentioning the Brookings Institute in relation to one of Daughn’s ongoing timeline projects. Robert Brookings is a name long known to me. It’s a long story why, but when I went to see if I could find his papers anywhere close to home since he lived on a prestigious street in the city named Lindell Boulevard (pronounced LIN-dyl in STLese), the Washington University in St. Louis catalog entry for his one cubic foot of papers revealed that old Mr. Brookings was a member of something called the War Industries Board beginning in 1917.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Industries_Board
“The War Industries Board (WIB) was a United States government agency established on July 28, 1917, during World War I, to coordinate the purchase of war supplies between the War Department (Department of the Army) and the Navy Department.[1] Because the United States Department of Defense (The Pentagon) would only come into existence in 1947, this was an ad hoc construction to promote cooperation between the Army and the Navy (with regard to procurement), it was founded by the Council of National Defense (which on its turn came into existence by the appropriation bill of August 1916). The War Industries Board was preceded by the General Munitions Board —which didn’t have the authority it needed and was later strengthened and transformed into the WIB.[2]”
DP picks up:
prognosticatasaurusrex and I have been going back and forth on the idea of the Military Industrial Complex being behind absolutely all of these trees of the forest in which we tend to surround rather than see the whole picture from the sky. Both of us picked up that this board is most likely the origin of the MIC, and as part of a larger project that needs a lot of further dot connecting and web untangling, I offer for you some of the BIG names that were on that board, and their connections. There are others for which there is no immediate information, but the biggest names…should not be shockers.
Frank A. Scott – Chairman, and no immediate information is available online in a quick search. HOWEVER, across the river, there is a Frank Scott Parkway which is a prominent road, and the Air Force Base is Scott. I suspect a connection.
BERNARD BARUCH – this man is probably the biggest name people have never heard of, but he was a self-made Wall Street trader, and an influential figure in war stuff for decades behind the scenes. He was even prosecuted for war profiteering at one point. There are several books I need to read to get the full picture, but he seems to be the main person to research at this point.
Samuel Prescott Bush – patriarch of, you guessed it, the Bush clan that produced two presidents. Recruited for the WIB by Baruch.
Clarence Dillon – stock broker and eventual owner of Goodyear Tire, Dodge and Chrysler. Son Clarence Douglass Dillon served as Secretary of Defense while JFK was president and was an Ambassador to France.
George Washington Goethals – Army engineer who got the Panama Canal Project done.
Eugene Meyer – involved with Allied Chemical & Dye, bought the Washington Post in receivership, was the father of WP owner Katherine Graham, AND was the Federal Reserve Chairman during the Depression.
Edward Stettinius – the J.P. Morgan rep on the board, and the chief buyer of war supplies. He did end up being an Assistant Secretary of War. AND his son was the first American Ambassador to the United Nations. Also, a STL person.
So, there we have a few pieces of the historical puzzle that is the mysterious Military Industrial Complex that honestly seems to boil down to a few families having their fingers in a lot of pies.
Will keep digging. Names on the WIB not mentioned here have no supporting information. My guess is I can find a lot of it in the Baruch biographies. His papers are at Princeton, so those are out of reach for now.

patfrederick

wow amazing research!

We need to promote public knowledge about who/what/why these people & organizations are into a national pastime.
If most Americans knew this info it would put these people out of business.

Deplorable Patriot

Unfortunately, these people, like the Payseur clan, live in the shadows. I suspect information on them and their heirs, if any are living other than the Bushes, is going to be hard to come by outside of well established archives. And why shouldn’t he, once the arrests get started?
If there was ever an instance of national security where the American People had a “need to know”, regarding exactly WHO has been subverting our country (and the whole world) and HOW they’ve been doing it, this is it.
The Cabal DEPENDS on secrecy and darkness to maintain power and deception.
Government intelligence (the vaunted ‘IC community’) may not be able to tie their own shoes without committing treason daily, but Military Intelligence (or whoever Q is with) certainly can uncover the entire global network and put names with faces.

ristvan’s take on “discrepancies” found in POTUS’S tax returns
ristvan says:
October 16, 2019 at 2:34 pm
I was just looking into this. Fake News on several fronts:
1. Those are not PDJT tax documents. Like most developers each Trump property is in a separate holding corporation or LLC. These are the 2017 NY state tax and bank docs for two of those properties in NYC, prepared by his accountants.
2. PDJT recused fully from his businesses after being elected and before being sworn in.
So he had absolutely nothing to do with stuff covering fiscal 2017.
3. It is common that tax and bank documents will contain ‘discrepancies’. What the tax code demands is not necessarily the same as what the bank loan documents demand, in both styles and substance.
Just more ignorant BS.

patfrederick

They intend to hound our POTUS to death.

We’re all in the same boat, PR. I’ve believed all along POTUS was messaging, even if I didn’t understand the code, but his words today – goodness! Going to get out my dancing shoes!
He sits there, solemn like, and with a straight face, sort of shrugs, mentions a few things – like maybe, maybe not. There isn’t any “NOT” about what he knows and what he expects to be revealed.

The fight is global. I wonder who in the Italian government wants this stopped. We just have to take a deep breath and pray that the good guys win.
https://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/italian-ministry-evicts-steve-bannon-from-trisulti-abbey
Italy’s ministry for culture is claiming it has evicted Steve Bannon’s “Gladiator School” from a 13th-century Italian monastery, 38 miles south of Rome.
“As the DHI indicated when the Ministry for Culture first announced this politically motivated manoeuvre back in May, we will fight our case in court with every resource at our disposal,” said Benjamin Harnwell, director of the Dignitatis Humanae Institute, in comments to Church Militant.
“We look forward to demonstrating that the objections against the DHI promoted by the Left over the last two years are 100% without any foundation whatsoever,” he added.
According to Agence France-Presse, the ministry announced on Oct. 11 that the Dignitatis Humanae Institute (DHI) had “falsely claimed to have the necessary requisites to take part in a tender to lease the monastery,” leading to its eviction….
Harnwell has maintained that the ministry — and its left-wing alliances — have sought to place every obstacle in front of the successful institution of the school since the idea materialized.
The institute had been given use of the site for 19 years in February 2018, but forces resisting the establishment of the school began opposing the move almost immediately.
Blows began to be leveled against the plan earlier this year. Bannon’s project is moving ahead despite the Italian culture minister’s attempts in May to revoke a license to operate the monastery.
Italian Culture Minister Alberto Bonisoli said the DHI had obtained the concession to use the Trisulti monastery for Bannon’s school but “had failed to meet the contractual conditions to lease it, had not paid the rent and had not carried out required maintenance work.”
Harnwell insists Bonisoli is acting under “political motivations,” spending six months “trying desperately to find any pretext whatsoever it can to get us out of Trisulti.”
Undeterred, Bannon summed up the importance of the struggle in June: “The fight for Trisulti is a microcosm of the fight for the Judeo-Christian West.”

And Pelosi was just in Italy, too.

I’m liking the new Trace Gallagher show so far. Just news, REAL NEWS!!! Oh and btw, I’m not for one moment buying Shemp left on his own on a Friday afternoon, especially after Barr met with Murdoch. A 23yr veteran doesn’t just up and quit Without giving a minimum 2wk notice. A professional would likely give 1-3months so mgmt could find a suitable replacement. Why no farewell party?? Dude was canned!! 🦋🦋🦋🤸‍♂️🤸‍♂️🦋🦋🦋

ladypenquin

I think Shep is deep trouble and Barr gave Murdock a head’s up – ie, problem not an ethical breach if it has to do with National Security. Maybe Shep was colluding with the CIA… FOX also took away his twitter account, so he couldn’t keep his followers. Something serious went down with. If it was a sexual abuse complaint, he’d have had maybe a suspension, and investigation.
Shep’s gone because something about him was going to hurt the Brand of FOX. IMO.

Putting so much symbolic power into a color is sometimes political posturing, and sometimes funny or just plain interesting.
In our south Georgia small town, most everything is peacefully and happily integrated – there are churches that are mostly black and mostly white, but the funeral homes are mostly segregated for some reason – maybe cultural. No one complains or tries to make an issue about it either. What is interesting though, is that the black funeral homes have white hearses and limos for the families, and the white funeral homes have black hearses, limos, etc. Wonder why?

GA/FL

Oh yeah – Black’s plumbing is run/owned by white folks and White’s plumbing is run/owned by black folks. Both are excellent and reputable. Just funny too.

Did anyone see this? The arrests were in March, but the story is dated today.
https://www.breitbart.com/border/2019/10/16/feds-bust-largest-dark-web-child-porn-marketplace/
The U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia announced charges against the operator of the world’s “largest child sexual exploitation market” and hundreds of others in the U.S. and abroad. South Korean officials seized the dark web server which contained about eight terabytes of child porn content.
“Children around the world are safer because of the actions taken by U.S. and foreign law enforcement to prosecute this case and recover funds for victims,” U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jessie K. Liu said in a written statement. “We will continue to pursue such criminals on and off the darknet in the United States and abroad, to ensure they receive the punishment their terrible crimes deserve.”
In March, South Korean officials seized the server which housed the Welcome to Video website. They also arrested Jong Woo Son, 23, a South Korean national who allegedly operated the website. Following the arrest and seizure, officials carried out an investigation that led to Wednesday’s announcement of a nine-count indictment against Jong and 337 other site users.

In a secret interview, Rep. Adam Schiff, leader of the House Democratic effort to impeach President Trump, pressed former United States special representative to Ukraine Kurt Volker to testify that Ukrainian officials felt pressured to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter as a result of Trump withholding U.S. military aid to Ukraine.
Volker denied that was the case, noting that Ukrainian leaders did not even know the aid was being withheld and that they believed their relationship with the U.S. was moving along satisfactorily, without them having done anything Trump mentioned in his notorious July 25 phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
When Volker repeatedly declined to agree to Schiff’s characterization of events, Schiff said, “Ambassador, you’re making this much more complicated than it has to be.”

I don’t accept that DJT is taking on the ‘military industrial complex’ except to the extent that he is selectively marginalizing/pruning the perfumed princes that Zero promoted to be policy makers / policy enforcers. Don’t forget that the Orb Network (the real intelligence agency now) is comprised of military departments in each of the member countries.
From what I can glean from various blogs and veterans sites, it does not have civilian components and each unit makes reports peer-to-peer and to the heads of the respective countries. In short, there is no “admin” or bureaucracy other than the already-existing chain of command present in any military.
My favorite characteristic is that it completely bypasses CIA, MI6, etc. Instantly making them window dressing.

Hollywood writer-director Larry Charles issued a rallying call to the left on Wednesday and smeared the millions of Americans showing up at President Donald Trump’s campaign rallies as paid and “hypnotized.”
“Trump has never won a fair fight. The base is down to 14 very loud people,” the Borat director’s missive began. “The rally goers are either paid or hypnotized. The whole thing is an illusion. Let’s shatter this national hallucination and see what reality looks like again.#LockThemUp.”

I don’t like the mohawks kids wear today, because it’s just another way the Left corrupts the social contract.
It used to be that if you got a mohawk (or anything that made you stick out, that you did on purpose in order to be different), you were going to get harassed or picked on, and that would:
A) make you tougher / stronger (or stop doing it, either way you learned something)
and
B) it was a social control mechanism for what was generally acceptable, i.e., individualism is great, but don’t be a weirdo.
TODAY, being the weirdo is the NORM. The sensitive types get mohawks, and then they’re protected from criticism or confrontation by anyone, so much so, that they’re PRAISED for looking like weirdos.
If somebody wants to wear a mohawk, more power to them, but there’s nothing rebellious about it when so many others are is doing it, or when nobody challenges it, or when it becomes a ‘protected’ form of self-expression.
Tattoos are another example.
When I was a kid, for the most part, the people who had tattoos had either served in the military, or they were pirates (in the movies), or they had served time in prison.
Tattoos were generally a sign of rebellion, non-conformist, etc.
But when EVERYBODY gets tattoos, it becomes the OPPOSITE.
When most people start doing it simply because everybody else is doing it, so they can fit in, it becomes ‘conformist’.
There’s nothing daring about kids getting tattoos today, nobody is going to confront them about it, there’s nothing socially provocative about it anymore — it has become common, it has become the ‘norm’.
If you want to be a rebel in a world where it seems like everybody gets tattoos — DON’T get a tattoo!

His Excellency
Recep Tayyip Erdogan
President of the Republic of turkey
Ankara
Dear Mr. President:
Let’s work out a good deal! You don’t want to be responsible for slaughtering thousands of people, and I don’t want to be responsible for destroying the Turkish economy — and I will. I’ve already given you a little sample with respect to Pastor Brunson.
I have worked hard to solve some of your problems. Don’t let the world down. You can make a great deal. General Mazloum is willing to negotiate with you, and he is willing to make concessions that they would never have made in the past. I am confidentially enclosing a copy of his letter to me, just received.
History will look upon you favorably if you get this done the right and humane way. It will look upon you forever as the devil if good things don’t happen. Don’t be a tough guy. Don’t be a fool!
I will call you later,
Sincerely,

This is outstanding, lol!
It reads like a tweet 🤣
Put yourself in Erdogan's shoes, and imagine receiving a letter like this from the president of the United States…
It was completely written to provoke Erdogan into reacting exactly as he did (or exactly as we have been led to believe he did, there's no way to verify anything that's really going on).
After a lifetime of Ellsworth Tooheys whose sole purpose for speaking is to make sure they never actually say anything of substance, it is beyond refreshing to have a leader to speaks like DJT.
Yes, I know it rankles some people that he doesn't always speak (or write) with the 'decorum' befitting the 'office', but he's doing it on purpose, it SERVES a purpose. He could right stuffy bureaucratese if he wanted to, but that would never accomplish any actual objective.
This does.
This accomplished multiple objectives on multiple levels.
Every part of this letter is carefully worded to provoke a reaction, no matter the perspective of the reader.
From a 'persuasion' perspective, Scott Adams could have a ball with this.
Just amazing, AND made me laugh out loud 😂

phoenixrising37

Impeachment brings a ‘stench’ … some folks don’t understand that it only means “a charge is made” ……………. like an indictment. Far too many think it means “he’s guilty” … it’s the ignorance I worry about, or I guess I should say low info…
I have considered for some time now that POTUS may WANT them to impeach… it would certainly separate the wheat from the chaff (we would know who to throw out next election). And I understand that the Senators act as prosecutors, so say someone like Trey Gowdy could bring in some of the coup members and prosecute them so to speak and they could end up indicted and tried, and Americans would know what was going on, because it would all be public. I guess I’m going to have to let go of traditional thoughts about impeachment… about a lot of things actually… this is a different ballgame… it’s a never-ending coup… and perhaps by impeaching POTUS it will end. But you see, I thought that is what the Special Counsel was supposed to do… end it. Now the DIMs are talking about a 2nd Special Counsel. If I had to choose between the two, I guess I would go with impeachment.

scott467

The trial in the Senate will both exonerate DJT and convict the Cabal, in front of the biggest worldwide audience in the history of television.
The actual prosecution and conviction of the Cabal will have to take place in courts or military tribunals, but the scope and scale of their crimes will be laid bare during an Impeachment Trial for all the world to see.
I’m leery of Trey Gowdy though. Ever since SD opened my eyes to how ALL of the GOP congressional inquiries were just controlled opposition, following a playbook of outrage/investigation/nothing happens, over and over again.
IRS targeting, Fast & Furious gun-running, Benghazi — it was always the same M.O., played to perfection by the professional political-class.
And that was Trey Gowdy.
All hat and no cattle, as SD often said.
So if Gowdy is to have any part in it, I would do a background check on Gowdy so deep and thorough that I don’t even have an analogy for it.

phoenixrising37

I don’t know Scott, did Some Dude open your eyes, or … did he raise to high an expectation of what members of Congress could do? SD was and is focused on “the small group”… well, the group ain’t small, you just said that yourself.
What was your expectation? There would be a hearing and Hil de beast would be cuffed and hauled off to jail? 😉
Gowdy is the one who told Nunes what he saw in the SCIF (sp)
Gowdy was encouraged by POTUS not to run for re-election, but to ‘hang’ until he was needed. Have you thought about what that has cost Gowdy ? He’s a small town prosecutor… he’s not rich. (I take up for my fellow SC natives, esp. when I know there’s not even smoke, much less fire.) POTUS trusts him. I’ll accept that over SD’s idea of ‘controlled opposition’ any day.
(we’re still friends, aren’t we? I wouldn’t want to have our exchanges offend you in some way. If we disagree, surely we can agree… to disagree 😉

_______________
They always stopped short.
They never EVER went for the kill.
As DJT said today, Paul Ryan would never issue subpoenas. DJT made up some BS reason that Ryan had too much respect for the country, but that’s a load of crap. If Ryan had any respect for the country or the rule of law, he would have pulled the curtain back and shown the whole world, instead of taking a DIVE on every major scandal of the Hussein tyranny, and throwing the American People under the bus at every opportunity.
Paul Ryan is another one who deserves to go to prison for the rest of his life — or worse.

Absolutely!
I consider everybody on this board a friend, and many of us disagree on some thing or another regularly! 😁
One of the things I like best about this place, what is so different from everywhere else, is that we can disagree, even strongly sometimes, while still knowing we’re all on the same side, so it’s not personal, there is no animosity.
It’s LIBERATING.
It’s not about trying to defeat someone, like it is when debating or arguing with Leftists. When there is any serious or genuine disagreement here (which is not often, really), it is usually in the best sense — everyone makes their best case for what they believe and why.
A lot of this stuff we can’t know for sure whether one view is right or wrong anyway, until more information comes out, so it’s more of an exercise in testing ideas, seeing what works and what doesn’t, which is what makes it interesting and fun 🙂
There’s an ocean of data points, and we’re all trying to make sense of it, to fill in pieces of the many puzzles, and as time goes on, we get confirmation or contradiction to our various hypotheses and views, and that’s interesting.
And fun.
It’s a mystery — lots of smaller mysteries and several big ones — and it’s better (and stranger) than fiction.
It’s a page-turner 😁

scott467

scott467

Good evening, Elizabeth!
“Hi Scott, I really enjoy my interaction with you and with others in this Q tree.
I don’t argue with the ideas of others to put the others down and shut them up.”
______________
Yep, me neither. I used to, that was most of what posting online was about (for me) for a long time, whether on Breitbart or Townhall.com for years before that.
On Townhall.com I would fight with the Leftists, and usually there were several regulars (conservatives) against several Leftists, and it would sometimes go on for days, lol!
The object of that game was to get them to shut up, to expose their lies, to vanquish them.
Then I found Breitbart, and that was a much bigger pond with a lot more Leftist troublemakers, but the platform was so big that it was hard to form a team of ‘regulars’, so you were pretty much on your own with a lot more opponents, and you can’t take on multiple people with long, detailed arguments, you have to try to knock them out of the discussion as fast and hard as possible.
But after a while it got old, it’s just the same thing over and over.
Then I found CTH, and that was a completely different dynamic. It took some adjustment, because nobody was really fighting with each other there, most people were on the same side (and it was heavily moderated, lol!).
But it was more interesting than the constant attack at Breitbart, and much smaller group of people, like Townhall.com was in the early days (around 2006). Breitbart was like a first-person shooter video game where you shoot anything that moves, and CTH was a completely different ballgame. Much less frenetic, lol!
.
“I never argue to change their minds. I argue to sharpen my understanding and to change my own mind when necessary.”
_______________
That is very interesting.
A lot of the time, arguing is a means of developing an understanding or point of view, because the debate process helps to clarify various issues, rule certain ideas or concepts or understands moot or inoperable, while revealing other concepts or views that withstand cross examination. That’s one of my favorite parts of engaging in discussions here, formulating what I think is a coherent position and throwing it out there, to see how it stands up to scrutiny. Almost like DJT’s “A-B” testing to find out what works better, except we usually start out with a more developed understanding of an issue here, whereas DJT is often testing words and phrases for ‘branding’ or other persuasive effect.
It seems difficult to effectively advocate for something (a point of view) without a tacit assumption that changing someone’s mind — if they are in opposition or agnostic — is part of the argument/debate process. If someone is in agreement, then it wouldn’t really be ‘arguing’ or ‘debate’, it would be more like mutual reinforcement.
The example that came to me with regard to changing someone’s mind is Paul, when he went to Mars Hill, and saw the monument to the unknown god. Paul hoped to change minds, to advocate for the cause of Christ.
Now Paul would also say that he preached not with the wisdom or words of men, but he preached the power of God and Christ crucified (cf. 1 Corinthians 1:23).
“And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: [5] That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:4-5, boldface emphasis mine)
It is God’s Word (living and powerful, cf. Hebrews 4:12) that reaches the heart and mind, not the wisdom or arguments of men, but it still has to be presented. It certainly helps to know where someone is in their understanding, e.g., when Philip understood that the Ethiopian eunuch was reading from Isaiah, and “Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.”
Paul was also an eloquent and flexible orator, changing his approach to match his audience:
……………………….
“For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. [20] And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; [21] To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. [22] To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” (1 Corinthians 9:19-22, KJV)
………………………..
These are all Scriptural examples of changing (or opening) minds, but the it would seem to apply to secular subjects as well. There may be some difference between how men and women (generally) approach debate too, due to competitive nature.
But then I’m reminded of Scott Adams’ perspective, that rational debate is usually pointless, because while people want to believe they are logical and rational, usually they’re not (at least when it comes to issues worth debate), which is why his particular interest in the ‘science of persuasion’ is so interesting. It doesn’t approach controversy from a logic standpoint, but more by framing a discussion in a way that gets past the natural resistance or defenses common to standard debate. I probably didn’t explain that very well, I don’t have a thorough understanding of his subject specialty, and I fell out of the habit of following his regular comments (which reminds me to start doing so again, it is very interesting).
Adams’ approach appears to be incredibly efficient and effective (he says DJT uses these techniques extensively and better than anyone he has seen, IIRC). It seems good to understand his techniques so you are not as susceptible to being manipulated by them, but it is difficult to abandon the logical argument approach, because it’s tantamount to admitting that people don’t use logic or reason, and that’s very depressing 😁
So… it’s complicated!
I like what you are doing better. Arguing to sharpen your own understanding and to change your own mind if necessary. That is a purer pursuit of enlightenment 👍
It reminds me of a quote from an old Townhall.com article I saved an occasionally reference, by columnist Gregory Koukl, called “The Intolerance of Tolerance” (a.k.a. “The Myth of Tolerance”):
…………………………
“Most of what passes for tolerance today is nothing more than intellectual cowardice, a fear of intelligent engagement.
Those who brandish the word “intolerant” are unwilling to be challenged by other views or grapple with contrary opinions, or even to consider them. It’s easier to hurl an insult – “you intolerant bigot” – than to confront an idea and either refute it or be changed by it.”
…………………………
.
“I love this board for that very reason. Thank you for sharing this, Elizabeth”

scott467

Like Zuckerberg’s wife.

TheseTruths

I’m torn on McConnell. I realize he can’t be trusted completely, but he has been great on getting judges confirmed. And the Senate override vote is going nowhere because there clearly are not 67 votes. So McConnell’s holding that vote is not in hopes it will pass. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, he might be doing it for other reasons: to get people’s votes on the record or to “cooperate” on a non-issue and save the issues he won’t cooperate on for later (like filling a SCOTUS seat in a presidential election year if that comes up).
I also think that, if he is willing to hold an impeachment trial, it plays right into the Trump administration’s hands because the last thing the Dems want is for evidence to be brought out in a trial. And they won’t have control over that in the Senate. Telegraphing to them now that that is what will happen is sending a strong message.

He’s having a lot of fun tonight!!
😂😂😂

ForGodandCountry

I’m not gonna name any names but some folks here really need to sharpen their critical thinking skills.
Why would McConnell be telling the press if the House votes to impeach he will hold a trial in the a Senate?

Deplorable Patriot

To expose the other side.

ForGodandCountry

Maybe.
In what way(s)?

Deplorable Patriot

Put them on the stand (in the spotlight) and expose the lies and corruption.

ForGodandCountry

Nope.
That’s not it.
Then again, you aren’t who I have in mind re: critical thinking skills, either.

Gudthots

Exactly what are you trying to get at here? You know what you wrote could be taken as disrespecting D.P.’s critical thinking skills… I think that’s not what you meant, but it’s late. Help me out here. 🙂

Deplorable Patriot

He wouldn’t be the first one to criticize my thinking skills. But, seriously, the leading questions that people answer themselves when you get it “wrong” get old after a while.

Gudthots

We try to be generous to each other and give the benefit of the doubt. 🙂

A: McConnell wants the Dims to vote on impeachment because the only way they can pass it is if every dem votes for it.
Why? Because no Republican who wants to win re-election will do so.
Why won’t it pass? Why won’t Nancy hold the vote?
A: Because of the result of the vote. There will be no Republican who votes in favor because that Republican would be primaried out of office. Meanwhile, while democrats only need a simple majority to impeach, they will only be able to do so by party-line vote….meaning that the vote to impeach would be entirely and 100% partisan, while the vote against would be BI-PARTISAN.
Why would the vote against be bi-partisan??

ForGodandCountry

Oops….my opening statement here isn’t correct. Dems have 235 in the House to the GOP’s 197 (there is 1 independent, plus two vacancies….* Duffy (R), WI resigned effective 09/23/2019 and *Collins, Chris (R), NY resigned effective 09/30/2019). Total is 433. Simple majority wins. So a vote that wins by 1 vote means 217 to 216.
Dems need 217 votes to impeach.

ForGodandCountry

A: the vote against impeachment would be bi-partisan because dims in vulnerable red state seats will NOT vote themselves out of office, plus dims are DESPERATE to keep control of the House.
Ergo, Pelosi will not bring a vote for impeachment to the House floor.
McConnell knows this.
By repeating telling the press he will hold an impeachment trial if the House votes to impeach, McConnell riles up the dem base who then DEMAND Pelosi to hold a vote, which she does NOT want to do. If Pelosi does not hold a vote, the rabid dem base goes berserk and demands her head.
By telling the public he will hold a senate trial, McConnell is making life miserable for the duplicitous d-rat leadership.

ForGodandCountry

In short, McConnell is trolling Pelosi and goading useful idiots in the d-rat base.

ForGodandCountry

Plus, the bastard manages to look magnanimous and non-partisan in the process (“I will have no choice but to hold a trial because the Constitution requires it.”).

ForGodandCountry

This now brings me to the tomorrow’s vote to try to overturn PDJT’s veto re: the resolution to undo his emergency declaration re: the border.
Did you know?
Democrats can force a vote on this every 6 months, and the last time they did so was in March (which failed, btw). It’s democrats who are forcing this vote tomorrow, and McConnell has no choice but to hold the vote. As in March, it will fail. Watch.

TheseTruths

“McConnell has no choice but to hold the vote”
I don’t believe this is the case. From this report (bolding mine):

[House:]
If the override vote on a House or Senate bill is unsuccessful, then the House informs the Senate of this fact and typically refers the bill and veto message to committee. If the House votes to override a veto of a bill that originated in the House (H.R. or H.J. Res.), the bill and veto message are sent to the Senate for action. If the House successfully overrides a veto of a bill that originated in the Senate (S. or S.J. Res.), then the bill becomes law, because two-thirds of both chambers have agreed to override the veto.
Senate Procedure Overview
If the Senate wishes to reconsider a vetoed bill, Senators generally enter into a unanimous consent agreement that the message be considered as read, printed in the Congressional Record, and, as required by the Constitution, entered in the Senate Journal. Senators often also agree, by unanimous consent, to limit time for debate on the question of overridin the veto. When the Senate receives a vetoed measure from the President or the House,

Here is an example of a veto override voted on by the House that was not taken up by the Senate:

“October 7, 2000: Vetoed H.R. 4733, Energy and Water Appropriations Act, 2001. Overridden by House, 315–98 on October 11 (276 needed). No attempt made in Senate.”

Kevin McCarthy dished on Laura’s show about meeting…It was all planned.
POTUS hands out his Turkey letter, Nervous Nancy doesn’t read, turns over flat to show she won’t and starts to smile.
POTUS calls her out, Nancy, why are you laughing, this is a serious item?
Joint Chief General says he removed some men in danger So they wouldn’t be harmed.
Dems would ask a question and SECDEF would start talking, and they’d interrupt, NO! The President has to answer!
Upon leaving she threatened “You just watch what we’ll do”
