One of the obstacles to full understanding of just what the enemy is all about revolves around the concept of symbolism.

Today’s symbol is that of the shell, specifically, the scallop.

Believe it or not, this is a symbol of Baptism.

…the scallop shell was also used in the administration of the sacrament of Baptism. Not only did it prove to be a practical tool to pour water on someone, it also carried that same symbolism of pilgrimage with it. Baptism is the start of the Christian journey and so when a priest uses a scallop shell to pour water on a child, he is initiating that child on a pilgrimage towards heaven. This is also why the scallop shell can often be seen artistically represented in baptistries or on baptismal fonts.

Which makes this logo rather curious.

Secretary Clinton is not an entertainer, and not a celebrity in the Trump, Kardashian mold; what can she do to offset this? I’m certain the poll-directed insiders are sure things will default to policy as soon as the conventions are over, but I think not. And as I’ve mentioned, we’ve all been quite content to demean government, drop civics and in general conspire to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry. The unawareness remains strong but compliance is obviously fading rapidly. This problem demands some serious, serious thinking – and not just poll driven, demographically-inspired messaging.

Rubio’s press conference yesterday AM was good and should be repeated in its entirety, not just in nibbles. I will attend the Clinton fundraiser here next week but as I can only afford the low level of participation may just get to wave without a “hello.”

I fear we are all now trying to navigate a set of forces that cannot be simply explained or fully understood, so it is and will reamin interesting!

More and more Trump is boxing the left into a corner where they have only three options:

1) Keep claiming there is nothing wrong with the vaccines, in which case Trump makes sure they own the mishandling of the pandemic moving forward. They can try to play the “It’s the unvaccinated’s fault” angle all they want. That’s not a winning message when Trump is doing the exact opposite and EMBRACING the vaccinated under a big tent. The more we restore election integrity moving forward, the more the left are going to need the unvaccinated to vote for them if they ever want to win elections again.

2) Blame the ineffectiveness of the vaccines on Trump in order to blame the current mishandling on him, in which case the entire left must shift to a narrative of distrust of the vaccines (which is what we actually want anyway.) Fauci is currently trying to ride the fence on this one by saying Trump “poisoned the well” on vaccines and that’s why they are ineffective, but again, this won’t work. They desperately needed him to oppose the vaccines, and he never took the bait. The more Trump doesn’t budge on the vaccines, the more the left will be forced to acknowledge the problems with the vaccines if they want to continue to be able to use it to attack him.

3) Try to pivot away from the pandemic narrative entirely by taking the “Hurray, mild Omicron is killing off the other variants, looks like the pandemic is coming to an end” layup that has been handed to them on a silver platter. This would force them to abort Operation Lockstep years before they wanted to, and mean that they would have to move on to the next phony crisis on their list in order to sell the public on the Great Reset. Most likely the “Cyber Pandemic” narrative is next, as that’s what they keep chattering about.

If they fail to to sell the public on the Great Reset by utilizing the Lockstep virus narrative, which it increasingly looks like they have, at least in the Western world, they will most likely cut their losses and choose option 3; “OMG, Omicron saved the day everybody!”; which is what I think Trump is trying to force them to do: Cut their losses and move on to the next fake emergency. I think Trump would be more than happy if Covid becomes such a radioactive topic for everyone involved that it’s not even an issue people want to talk about by the time 2024 rolls around.

In President Trump’s own statements about Joe Biden’s “achievements in 2021” brought to us by TrumpIsMine, there is this:

That would have been a better statement than the ones President Trump has been making on the topic, but optics have to be maintained, not for the red pilled, but to crush the other side.

Well, one guy who isn’t bored said this in an interview with the Babylon Bee podcast:

The interview itself covers a broad range of topics that are most interesting and the science people among us might enjoy his discussion on space travel, alternative energy, etc. (It was great background noise for various activities. My mother had the radio, I have internet videos.) Disagreeing is fine, but it is amazing that this guy built two very valuable companies out of nothing.

The other side calls it an echo chamber, but the truth is starting with Rush Limbaugh on radio, and then the development of the first conservative chat site Free Republic (still going strong after twenty-five years), conservatives were finally able to find each other in the age of the internet. Prior to that, you could be sitting next to one on a trans-Atlantic flight and not know it.

There are far more of us than not, and as more and more websites and social media platforms run by patriots, not the alphabet soup agencies, popped up and continue to pop up, a much larger network, an ecosystem, is solidifying in the space that the legacy media used to occupy.

That has the other side scared to death.

No longer is the truth buried in the periodicals in a library with stacks of hard bound journal volumes. Nope. Now it is online, and can go from a hush hush secret to a full blown viral meme in far less time than a news cycle would occupy.

That anons are considered a high value target implies that our community is a powerful force in the information war. Many people have been planted in our movement as sleepers. They pretend to be on our side, but when instructed to by their handlers, they turn against us. Please, consider the backgrounds of those doing the attacking. Patrick Byrne, Glenn Greenwald and Patrick Bergy are all “converts.” They are the ones publicly doing the pot stirring. Individual anons and influencers jump on the bandwagon each of them confects according to their own likes and prejudices, thus creating discord and division.

From the Gospel According to St. Matthew, Chapter 3:

…The problem with the new fear campaign over the omicron variant is the further degradation of liberty and Constitutional rights already manifesting because of it.

As the new Cold War with China ratchets up, the Western world has dealt the cards against themselves. The trumpet of freedom and liberty cannot be sounded without charges of hypocrisy and hollowness as we witness the supposedly free democratic world, especially in places like Australia and New Zealand (not to mention the United Kingdom and Europe), engage in the some of the most vicious and tyrannical lockdowns in the world. These lockdowns, restructuring of government power and control over businesses and individuals, aim at one thing: the remaking of our relationship to the state.

What the totalitarians who have weaponized the coronavirus fail to acknowledge is that they have politicized the virus, not conservatives, libertarians, and the few remaining civil liberals who are concerned with the aggressive and militant overreach of the federal government and medical institutions.

The new totalitarians assert those of us who wish to keep the flame of liberty and the human spirit alive of politicizing the virus. Shame is their calling card. The claim that liberty-loving and defending individuals have weaponized the virus for political purposes doesn’t stand up to scrutiny.

Yeah….

This is a problem isn’t it. The number of people who were in my dorm in college who did not know how to do laundry was appalling.

I recommended a video on Tuesday’s daily, and really, I don’t know that I can spin a whole post on it, but here it is.

The Ghislaine Maxwell section, and the looking at Guantanamo Bay flights that are HIGHLY unusual, like the Director of Homeland Security going down there, starts at 16:27. However, there is interesting information ahead of that mark. Yes, Monkey does a lot of speculating and connecting dots, but there’s information on TerraMar, the detention camps nationwide (there are thirty-seven), the court docket at GITMO, federal prisoner numbers and location designations and more.

It’s worth a watch, and remember that what Monkey brings is what someone out there wants us to see. There are enough masked flights, and transponders turned off in mid-flight in what he presents to raise some eyebrows.

One of the obstacles to full understanding of just what the enemy is all about revolves around the concept of symbolism.

Symbolism actually evolved in Christianity prior to the splintering of the Faith in the west in the sixteenth century Anno Domini, and the rich tradition of said symbolism is one of the aspects of the culture that was destroyed along with a lot of stained glass windows, altar stones, and other art work when the revolt happened.

Alright, here we go. From the Apocalypse, Chapter 1:

[7] Behold, he cometh with the clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they also that pierced him. And all the tribes of the earth shall bewail themselves because of him. Even so. Amen. [8]I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, saith the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

We start with the Greek as the VERY early Church used it quite a bit along with Aramaic and Latin.

The Alpha and Omega are fairly obvious and do appear entwined sometimes, but not on Tabernacles and the gates to Sanctuaries. On those Church features, they appear separately.

The Chi Rho, the first two Greek letters in the name Christ, appears, usually, by itself. The symbolism is obvious here, and that symbol has been used as long as the Ichthys from last week had.

When Latin became far more prominent in the Church, the MONOGRAM began to appear.

The letters IHS are the first in each word of the Latin phrase, Iesus Hominum Salvator, or, Jesus, Man/Mankind’s Savior. The place most people encounter the Monogram is in the Seal of the Jesuits, along with the nails of the cross, and the cross itself.

The sunburst motif became popular somewhere around the Renaissance, and it still appears in the form of Monstrances, although of late, the newer ones tend to look like the reliquaries they are. At any rate, Christ is the center of the universe is where that goes.

“Saying with a loud voice: The Lamb that was slain is worthy to receive power, and divinity, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and benediction.”
Apocalypse (Revelation) 5:12

The Paschal Lamb is pretty obvious.

From the Medieval Bestiaries comes a different symbol.

The stag is a symbol for Christ, Who tramples and destroys the Devil. Early bestiaries describe the stag as a relentless enemy of snakes. The stag was believed to pursue snakes into their holes or rock crevices, flushing them out by flooding the hole with the breath or water from its mouth, and devouring them.

Interestingly enough, this is the symbol that the other side appropriated.

Harry, the supposed “chosen one” throws the Petronus charm to ward off the evil spirits, and it takes the form of a silver stag.

The other side is not original at all.

Well…since they DID jail January 6 people, and the whole Buffalo Jump thing happened, the American people are using other venues to display their displeasure.

I’ve been collecting examples of symbolism, so as to better inform readers here what those symbols are, how to spot them, and what they mean. Rather than a big, long post I thought I would bring this history to the Thursday threads as they always seem to get short shrift.

A request was made to explain the symbolism of the fish, so…..

From the Gospel According to St. Matthew (and the first chapter of St. Mark, actually) Chapter 4:

[16] The people that sat in darkness, hath seen great light: and to them that sat in the region of the shadow of death, light is sprung up. [17] From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say: Do penance, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. [18] And Jesus walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishers). [19]And he saith to them: Come ye after me, and I will make you to be fishers of men.[20] And they immediately leaving their nets, followed him.

And so, the Faithful used the fish to connect with other faithful. According to legend:

The ichthys first started appearing in Catholic art and literature around the second century A.D. By the end of the second century it was popular among followers of the Church and became widespread across the globe by the fourth century. According to tradition, the fish symbol is rooted during the early years of the Church when those who followed the Lord faced intense religious persecution. The symbol would allow them to quickly identify if they were in safe company, and it was also used to discretely mark gathering places and tombs. Some say that when a Catholic was faced with a stranger in a road, they would draw one half of the arc in the dirt. If the stranger completed the symbol by drawing the other arc, they both knew they were safe in each others company.

As for the Ichthys itself:

The term ichthys, is actually a Greek acronym translating into English to mean Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior.

• Iota (i) is the first letter of Iēsous (Ἰησοῦς), Greek for “Jesus”
• Chi (ch) is the first letter of Christos (Χριστός), Greek for “anointed”
• Theta (th) is the first letter of Theou (Θεοῦ), Greek for “God”
• Upsilon (y) is the first letter of hyios (Υἱός), Greek for “Son”
• Sigma (s) is the first letter of sōtēr (Σωτήρ), Greek for “Savior”

Ancient Churches as well as newer ones with lovely art, often have fish in mosaics and stained glass.

Continuing with the nautical theme, as the Church is considered to be the Barque of St. Peter, the congregation sits in a section of the building called the “nave” as in naval, and the anchor is a symbol of safe harbor.

This is so profound of a message…profound because of its timeless message of unity, strength, courage, bravery, intellect and skill during the intensity of war. We should never forget the sacrifices of those who have gone before us. Today, we are a nation in crisis and we must keep in mind how we got here. We’ve taken for granted the centuries of sacrifice of those who have gone before us and instead, we’ve allowed deep levels of corruption to creep into our republic. Now is not the time to give up, now is the time to stand up…be like those who came before us who faced the impossible with the God-given character that is built into each and everyone American.

I say Local Action has a National Impact for a reason. It will be each “Soldier” who figures out how he or she will do their duty when the times comes. It may be to vote and never giving up on fighting for the sacrosanctity and integrity of this right, it may be simply raising your family as best you can, or it may be stepping up to run for office at the local level…whatever you’re decision is to get involved, know that you are making a difference in your life, in your family’s life, and for your community and our country’s future.

From the Prophet Ezekiel, Chapter 1:

[1] Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, when I was in the midst of the captives by the river Chobar, the heavens were opened, and I saw the visions of God. [2] On the fifth day of the month, the same was the fifth year of the captivity of king Joachin, [3] The word of the Lord came to Ezechiel the priest the son of Buzi in the land of the Chaldeans, by the river Chobar: and the hand of the Lord was there upon him. [4] And I saw, and behold a whirlwind came out of the north: and a great cloud, and a fire infolding it, and brightness was about it: and out of the midst thereof, that is, out of the midst of the fire, as it were the resemblance of amber: [5] And in the midst thereof the likeness of four living creatures: and this was their appearance: there was the likeness of a man in them.

[6] Every one had four faces, and every one four wings. [7] Their feet were straight feet, and the sole of their foot was like the sole of a calf’s foot, and they sparkled like the appearance of glowing brass. [8] And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides: and they had faces, and wings on the four sides, [9] And the wings of one were joined to the wings of another. They turned not when they went: but every one went straight forward. [10]And as for the likeness of their faces: there was the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right side of all the four: and the face of an ox, on the left side of all the four: and the face of an eagle over all the four.

The man, lion, ox and eagle are almost always presented in Church buildings in a group:

Simply, they are the symbols of the Evangelists: Sts. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. (In my parents’ parish, they are with the statues of the Evangelists carved into the Altar itself.)

There are alternative meanings, though.

Four of the best-known animal forms still familiar to us today are the four beasts of the Gospels. From earliest Christian times, the man, the eagle, the lion and the ox, first seen in Ezekiel’s vision by the river Chebar and later by St. John surrounding the throne of God, have been accepted as the symbols of the four evangelists. The man symbolized St. Matthew, because his Gospel begins by stating the genealogy of the ancestors of Christ. The lion is St. Mark, who early in his Gospel speaks of a voice crying in the wilderness. The ox, the sacrificial animal of the Old Covenant, symbolizes St. Luke, whose Gospel opens with the sacrifice offered by Zacharias. The eagle, believed to be the only animal that could gaze straight into the light of the sun, is St. John, who in his Gospel soars into the mystery of the Incarnation of God so naturally and contemplates it so profoundly that he seems like an eagle flying toward the sun.

By the twelfth century, the medieval doctors of the Church had enlarged upon the symbolism of the four beasts to also recall the major events in the life of Christ. The man is the reminder that God became man in the Incarnation. The ox recalls the sacrificial victim of the New Law, Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Passion. The lion, a symbol of vigilance because it was believed to sleep with its eyes open, symbolized the Resurrection when Our Lord appeared to sleep in death, even though His divine nature never dies and remains watching. Finally, as the eagle rises to the unknown heights, Christ rose to Heaven in the Ascension.

But there was yet a third meaning and teaching in the four beasts, which also showed man the virtues he must practice. Every pilgrim on his arduous journey through life to heaven must be a man, because God gave to man alone the gift of reason, which he must use to achieve heaven. He must also be an ox, the sacrificial victim, because it is necessary to make penance and mortify the flesh. He must be the lion in his courage and noble hearted deeds. And he must pray and contemplate God and the things of eternity like the eagle, which looks straight into the sun.

These particular symbols are not necessarily used by the other side, but this is an introduction to how and why symbolism and the need for it from people who oppose Christianity in practice has been stressed.
