In an earlier comment thread, Wolfmoon mentioned George Covington, who was a founding partner of Percy Sutton’s law firm. If you recall, Percy Sutton was asked by Khalid Al-Mansour to write a letter of recommendation for Barack Obama to get into Harvard Law.

At first I couldn’t find much about the “Covington” in the “Sutton & Covington” law firm. What a surprise with this bunch! All the sources read exactly the same. They all say he was a “third partner” in the law firm, but in a search of the FBI files of Malcolm X, Percy Sutton’s famous client, the name “Covington” never appears.  The partner is nowhere to be found.
His name appears as George D. Covington in a few places. The middle initial was the key. A George Donald Covington is listed by the New York Bar Association as deceased. He attended Brooklyn Law School, where Percy Sutton went to school.
Once I found THAT fact I finally got somewhere! George Donald Covington was one of the founding members of the National Conference of Black Lawyers. So was Charles Rangel.

According to Keywiki, the NCBL is affiliated with the National Lawyers Guild which was organized in 1936 with the help of the Communist Party. The NCBL is also affiliated with the International Association of Democratic Lawyers, also a front for the Soviets. According to its Keywiki page:
“The Association was described in a CIA Report on Soviet Propaganda Operations prepared at the request of the House Intelligence Committee and published by the committee in 1978, as “one of the most useful Communist front organizations at the service of the Soviet Communist Party.””

The National Lawyers Guild defended members of the Black Panther Party, supported self-determination for Palestine, and defended the Puerto Rican Independence Movement in the 1970s.
So there it is, yet another Soviet/Communist connection directly to Percy Sutton. And there’s even more to George D. Covington when we find OTHERS he was connected to.
Covington was associated with Adam Clayton Powell, appearing as his attorney on multiple occasions, including when he was removed as the chair of the House Education and Labor Committee during the 89^th Congress in 1966. Powell was accused of misusing Committee funds, particularly for travel. The House voted to exclude Powell from his Congressional seat, and a committee was formed to investigate. Of course, committee member John Conyers voted against any type of investigation! Can you believe Conyers was in Congress that long ago?

In 1942, Adam Clayton Powell and Charles Buchanan became the publishers of a newspaper The People’s Voice in New York.  The editor was Doxey Wilkerson, a self-proclaimed Communist. When in 1943, Powell resigned from the New York City Council to run for Congress, he designated Ben Davis, Jr. as his successor. Davis was also Communist. He won the seat.

In 1944, Powell was a national sponsor of American Youth for Democracy, which was the youth wing of the Communist Party of America. Other sponsors of the organization included Frank Marshall Davis, Langston Hughes, and Mary McLeod Bethune.

Bethune was a supporter of many Communist Party of the USA fronts beginning in a least 1940, and was a frequent visitor to the SUTTON household in San Antonio when Percy Sutton was growing up.

I really do think with all these connections to the Communist Party, the Sutton & Covington law firm should’ve been designated as “pink shoe.”
